In the Lower Yarmouk Gorge the chemical composition of regional, fresh to brackish, mostly thermal groundwater reveals a zonation in respect to salinization and geochemical evolution, which is seemingly controlled by the Lower Yarmouk fault (LYF) but does not strictly follow the morphological Yarmouk Gorge. South of LYF, the artesian Mukeihbeh well field region produces in its central segment groundwaters, an almost pure basaltic-rock type with a low contribution (<0.3 vol-%) of Tertiary brine, hosted in deep Cretaceous and Jurassic formations. Further distal, the contribution of limestone water increases, originating from the Ajloun Mountains in the South. North of the LYF, the Mezar wells, the springs of Hammat Gader and Ain Himma produce dominantly limestone water, which contains 0.14–3 vol-% of the Tertiary brine, and hence possesses variable salinity. The total dissolved equivalents, TDE, of solutes gained by water/rock interaction (WRI) and mixing with brine, TDEWRI+brine, amount to 10–70% of total salinity in the region comprising the Mukheibeh field, Ain Himma and Mezar 3 well; 55–70% in the springs of Hammat Gader; and 80–90% in wells Mezar 1 and 2. The type of salinization indicates that the Lower Yarmouk fault seemingly acts as the divide between the Ajloun and the Golan Heights-dominated groundwaters.

Background: One of the treatment options for cholelithiasis is laparoscopic cholelithiasis. The challenge of this procedure is to determine the level of surgery. Methods: This analytic cross-sectional study was conducted at Sanglah Hospital Denpasar from January 2019 to September 2020. Several risk factors data were assessed according to the Risk Scoring System for Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve was plotted to determine the cut-off score based on the most optimal sensitivity and specificity to predict the difficulty of surgery. Univariate statistical analysis was conducted based on the type of data with a p-value <0.05 considered significant. Results: From a total of 62 laparoscopic cholecystectomies, 36 (58.1%) case was a simple surgery, and 26 (41.9%) was difficult surgery. In the difficult surgical group, 17 surgeries (27.4%) were more than 60 minutes, nine surgeries (14.5%) with bile spillage, and one surgery (1.6%) with ductal injury. The scoring system had a sensitivity of 86.1%, a specificity of 76.9%, a positive predictive value of 83.7%, and a negative predictive value of 80%. Conclusion: A scoring system is a promising approach to estimating the difficulty of laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Further study to improve this scoring system is necessary.

The Ce-ZSM-11 zeolite has been used as an efficient catalyst for the one pot synthesis of 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthene derivatives from aromatic aldehyde and 5,5-dimethyl-cyclohexane-1,3-dione under reflux condition. The catalyst was characterized by Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Brunauer-Emmer-Teller (BET) surface area analysis, and Temperature Programmed Desorption (TPD) techniques. Den 8. december 1940 afholdt Danmarks National-Socialistiske Arbejder-Parti et offentligt møde på Højskolehjemmet i Haderslev. Forud for mødet gik DNSAP’s sønderjyske Sports-Afdeling i uniform og med spader i demonstrationsmarch gennem byens gader. Derved overtrådte SA forbuddet mod politisk uniformering. Politiet var for fåtalligt til at hindre marchen, men efter at have hentet forstærkning omringede politiet Højskolehjemmet. SA’erne lod sig ikke frivilligt arrestere og brugte deres spader mod politiet, der til gengæld satte ind med tåregas og brandsprøjter. Sammenstødet fik siden betegnelsen Spadeslaget. Hans Schultz Hansen redegør her for Spadeslagets forløb.

From 1970 to 1983, 69 patients, affected by malignant epithelial tumors of paranasal cavities and nasal fossae, were treated with radiotherapy at the Radiology Institute of the University and Radiotherapy Hospital Department of Florence. Primary carcinoma of the maxillary sinus occurred in 44 patients, of the nasal cavity in 20, and of the other sinuses in 5. Most of the patients had locally advanced lesions (63 T3-4: 91.5%) according to the adopted TNM system (Lederman-Gadeberg, Sisson-Jesse). Crude survival data showed 35% and 13% of NED patients at 2 and 5 years, respectively. Local progression was the most important cause of death; patients relapsed within 2 years. The actuarial 5-year survival, corrected for causes of death other than disease, was 32% for the overall series, 32% for maxillary sinus, and 41% for the nasal cavity. There was no difference in survival in patients treated with conventional fractionation (CF) vs. multiple daily fractionation (MDF) –30% vs. 33% at 5 years. The late damages of the radiation therapy in 22 patients without local disease, with a minimum follow-up of 2 years, is also analyzed.

Den 9. april 1940 klokken 04.15 overskred den tyske værnemagt den dansktyske grænse, og den tyske besættelse af Danmark var efter få timer en realitet. Dagen var for store dele af det tyske mindretal i Nordslesvig en glædens dag, da man stadig nærede et stærkt håb om en grænserevision og derfor regnede med, at besættelsen ville bringe en sådan med sig. Mindretallet strømmede ud på gader og stræder i Nordslesvig for med jubelråb og nazihilsen at byde de tyske tropper velkommen som befriere. For at ønsket om en grænserevision kunne opfyldes, måtte mindretallet dog yde sin tørn for moderlandets store kamp, og kimen til det tyske mindretals kollaboration under besættelsen var dermed lagt.

This topological study aims to discover how the Greek god Pan came to emerge from the metaphorical graveyard of forgotten fantasies and into late Victorian fiction depicting contemporary scenes, and the reasons for his presence. The motif of ‘Pan versus humanity’ takes center stage and is followed through a series of representational texts from Arthur Machen’s The Great God Pan from 1894, over E. F. Bensons “The Man Who Went Too Far” from 1904 and Algernon Blackwood’s “The Touch of Pan” from 1917 to one of its final depictions in Stephen McKenna’s novel The Oldest God from 1926. It is shown that as Pan came to represent the repressed as both biological and historical past, the specific meaning ascribed to the meeting with the god changed in relation to cultural and historical developments. With the appearance and disappearance of Pan the rise and fall of shared modern fantasies are revealed. From a bigger perspective, the analysis is an example of the usefulness of the topological method in illuminating cultural history through the rising and waning popularity of literary configurations.

Natural mesolite type zeolite was collected, modified by sulphuric acid treatment and characterized by using Powder-X ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy and Energy dispersive spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Temperature programmed ammonia desorption, Brunauer-Emmer-Teller surface area analysis. Modified dealuminated mesolite shows an efficient catalytic activity for one pot synthesis of 3-methyl-4-arylmethylene-isoxazol-5(4H)-ones derivatives, via one pot three component condensation of benzaldehyde, ethylacetoacetate and hydroxylamine hydrochloride. Present method offers several advantages over the reported methods like a simple and inexpensive modification of catalyst, mild reaction condition, easy separation of catalyst, simple work-up procedure, nonchromatographic isolation and purification desired product and excellent yield. BradleyGrundtvigs beskæftigelse med angelsaksisk litterar kultur gik ind i en intensiv fase i tiden omkring hans Englandsrejser (1829-31), hvor han med offentliggørelse for øje transskriberede de digteriske dele af et håndskrift i Exeters klosterbibliotek fra det 11. århundrede. I betragtning af den grundliggende rolle, det symbolske og metaforiske spiller i Grundtvigs skrifter og i hans fremstilling af sin egen identitet, har det interesse at gennemgå og analysere hans forsøgsvise behandling af de omkring hundrede gader, der star i håndskriftet. Det ledte ham nemlig ind i en drøftelse af de intellektuelle strategier, der ligger bag såvel gåders udsagn som deres løsning, indbefattende litterære virkemidler som fortælling i 1. person og omskrivninger (kenninger), kryptisk brug af runer samt motiver fra folkesagn og folkelig overtro. Hans tilegnelse af denne kristelige kultur fra tidlig nordeuropæisk middelalder far utvivlsomt stor betydning for hans mytologiske arbejder, men rækker også videre frem. Making diagnosis of asthma requires a critical evaluation of the patient’s symptoms, medical history, physical examination and diagnostic tests. It is known that a reduction of respiratory muscle pressures (MIP and MEP) for assessment of respiratory muscles power has been associated with several neuromuscular diseases, but it is also possible to point out lower values in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases as in asthma. As asthma diagnosis by reversibility test is not very sensitive in intermittent and mild asthma and pulmonary function is related to respiratory muscle pressures (RMP), could we use the reversibility of RMP in the patients for asthma diagnosis is the main issue investigated in this research. The aim of the study to determine the validity of asthma diagnosis by reversibility testing of respiratory muscles power. A cross-sectional hospital based study carried out in Lung function tests clinic in Police and Alban Gadeed hospitals in Khartoum during the years 2010-2011 to determine the reversibility of the lung function (FEV1 and PEFR) and respiratory muscles power (MEP and MIP). Thirty five known asthmatic subjects attending the referred chest clinic for follow up, and 20 healthy non asthmatic controls were included in the study. FEV1, PEFR, MEP and MIP were measured for all subjects before and after bronchodilator. Reversibility test was considered positive assuming the cut-off point for FEV1, MEP and MIP is ≥12% and for PEFR≥20%.The results showed percent of change in asthmatic group before and after bronchodilator test for FEV1 , PEFR, MEP, MIP were: 10.45, 11.84, 12.15 and 16.73 respectively. The difference was statistically significant. Sensitivity and specificity of reversibility testing for FEV1 (40%, 75%), for PEFR (31%, 65%), for MEP (49%, 70%) and for MIP (71%, 65%). In conclusion, the respiratory muscles power reversibility test could be a potentially sensitive diagnostic test for asthma

This study was aiming at investigating S. aureus in butter and ghee in Nyala city in South Darfour State during the year 2021. A total of 80 milk products' samples (40 butter and 40 ghee) were collected from 4 markets (Nyala, El Ban gadeed, Manawashy and El Laloba) in Nyala Locality. Samples were examined bacteriologically using conventional and rapid API methods. All butter samples (100%) collected from El Laloba and Manawashy markets were positive for S. aureus. Eighty percent of the samples collected from Nyala market were positive for S. aureus. Sixty percent of the samples collected from El Ban gadeed market were positive for S. aureus. All ghee samples (100%) collected from El Laloba and El Bangadeed markets were negative for S. aureus. Sixty percent of the samples collected from Nyala and Manawashy markets were positive for S. aureus. The prevalence of S. aureus in butter samples in Nyala Locality was 85%. The prevalence of S. aureus in butter samples in Nyala Locality was 30%. Butter in Nyala Locality is highly contaminated and ghee is less contaminated with S. aureus. Pasteurization and heat treatment are highly recommended before processing of milk.

Human resources is importance for economic development of any nation. Economic development of a region is depending on the development of human and natural resources because of Man he develops with his knowledge, skilled and good health. (Gadekar Deepak J 2015) the economic status of any country depends on the domestic and foreign tourist as tourist are the resources of any nation. The most important criteria of human resources development are population density, literacy, occupation, sex ratio, facilities etc. there for first objective is to study how human resources development is done in Ahmednagar district. This research depends on secondary data, this data collected for Ahmednagra district census during 2011. This data classify in to four grouped in first demography characteristics, occupation pattern, Amentias and Agricultural sectors. In each of these four groups different factors have been taken to calculated level of human development. Roman baths are an important component in furthering our knowledge of Roman social life. They functioned as more than just a locus for cleansing the body. Currently, the literary sources provide the most details about the various social activities that occurred in the baths. However, where these activities took place within the complexes remains unclear. Archaeological reports do not adequately address how the rooms functioned. The argument presented here outlines some of the problems with the current methodology for examining room function in room baths. Then, using the site of Hammat Gader in Israel, introduces a different mode of viewing the evidence.

Siden 2004 har Rådet for Sikker Trafik foretaget systematiske tællinger af brugen af cykelhjelm i Danmark i både bytrafik (cyklende i alle aldersgrupper på almindelige by-gader) og skoletrafik (cyklende børn på vej til skole). I 2004 anvendte 6 % af de observerede cyklister i bytrafikken cykelhjelm, mens 33 % af de observerede børn i skoletrafikken anvendte cykelhjelm. I 2021 anvendte 48 % cykelhjelm i bytrafikken og 80 % i skoletra-fikken. I bytrafikken er tallet udtryk for en stigning i brugen af hjelm siden tællingen i 2020, mens tallet for skoletrafikken er udtryk for et fald i andelen af cyklende børn, der anvender hjelm siden 2020. Både i bytra-fikken og i skoletrafikken er det blandt de yngste, at den største andel anvender cykelhjelm.

Denne artikel undersøger, hvordan trafikmodeller repræsenterer og medierer trafikfænomener for embedsfolk og trafikplanlæggere i Københavns Kommune. En trafikmodel er et softwareprogram, der modellerer transportadfærd for en befolkningsgruppe på baggrund af forskellige input. I forbindelse med infrastrukturprojekter i København og omegn anvendes transportmodellering med henblik på at bestemme karakteren af forskellige trafikfænomener såsom bilisme, kollektiv trafik eller cyklisme. Fra og med sommeren 2020 tages en ny, videreudviklet trafikmodel i brug, som har et bredere og mere finmasket perspektiv på trafikfænomener end den nuværende transportmodel. Mens en række transportfænomener enten er usynlige eller i bedste fald negligerede og upræcise i den nuværende transportmodel, betyder ny og mere præcis modellering af eksempelvis fodgængere, parkeringsforhold, delebiler og kombinationsrejser, at disse transportfænomener bliver „virkelige“ for beslutningstagere. For bedre at kunne forstå, hvordan en trafikmodel former „synet“ og transportoverblikket hos embedsfolk og politikere, inddrager jeg antropolog James Scotts idéer om, hvordan en stat ser, samt postfænomenolog Peter Paul Verbeeks idéer om, hvordan teknologier kan siges at åbne verden. Artiklen demonstrerer dels, hvordan den nuværende trafikmodel er et modstridende og uhensigtsmæssigt beslutningsstøtteværktøj i henhold til Københavns CO2-mål, dels hvordan forskellige former for transportmodellering inddrages i samfundsøkonomiske cost-benefit-analyser og dermed i høj grad danner beslutningsgrundlag for, hvordan Københavns gader indrettes.
