Streszczenie:
Medicine and healthcare have been around for thousands of years, but we seldom ask why they are so important. It seems self-evident that we should seek relief of suffering from some institution in the society in which we live and equally self-evident that each society should provide healthcare for its people at some level. Yet when we inquire further, we are driven to seek foundational answers to iterative questions, seeking answers at deeper and deeper levels. Ultimately, it seems best to accept the Humean refuge [1] and finish with some such statement as “Humans are like that” or “Societies can’t function in any other way”.These Humean questions suggest that survival, security and flourishing are endpoints for such an inquiry and that medical (and many other) systems are built on these implicit foundations. The ways in which societies build relevant systems (such as medicine, welfare, law, transport, housing and so on) will differ strikingly, but common ground will still exist at the foundational level.Acknowledging a commonality of foundations does not commit one either to a conservative normativity, nor to a loose relativism. Increasing activity at the level of the International Court of Justice makes clear that there is a possibility of consensus for judging the validity of the interpretations and enactments of foundational values in any society. The ideals of the American Declaration of Independence – life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness – are principles very similar to the foundational values of survival, security and flourishing. Person-centered medicine is inescapably based on theories of the person and must therefore be able to offer an account of what personhood is. Values underpin the philosophy and practice of medicine, including person-centered medicine, because they are foundations of personhood, as well as foundations of the societies in which each person lives.

The author develops a systematic approach to ecclesiology and the theology of ministry through a consideration of Lonergan's scale of values. This leads to the development of four anti-types to authentic Church, and a discussion of the role of ministry as corrective of the distortions evident in these anti-types. An intrinsic link is then made between ordained ministry and the eucharistic celebration. This paper is part of a larger project which seeks to develop, in outline at least, the elements of a systematic ecclesiology. As a systematic, it inevitably draws on a particular foundation, here the work of Lonergan and Doran, and remains hypothetical and tentative. The value of such a project lies in its testing of its foundations, not just in dialectic debate against other foundational possibilities, but through an examination of the systematics which can be built upon them.

The way society patterned its institutions and framed its laws, is predicated on the prevalent values of the people, which is rooted in their culture, philosophies, and spirituality. The way such a society makes progress and promotes coexistence is linked to the values that they uphold. Similarly, African values are those axiological principles that form the foundation of social living and social ordering in traditional African society, which can still be relevant today. These social values of the African people are what were used to construct African inclusive institutions in the traditional setting before it was eroded by colonialism and imperialism. Thus, for Africans of today to rebuild inclusive institutions that will guarantee sustainable development across the continent, there is a need to revive and reintegrate the principles from the study of African values into the reform of contemporary African social institutions. Therefore, in this paper, the authors argue that for African institutions to deliver the good of sustainable development, they must be reformed along the lines of foundational principles of African cultural values. The paper employs the philosophical method of critical analysis in dissecting the issues within this discourse.

Value-centric teaching is about creating a memorable learning environment that is attractive, meaningful, and relevant. A teaching philosophy that encompasses a strategic value-oriented approach integrates real-world and translatable experiences. The foundation is transferable. It strives to blend the passion for learning with foundational elements to motivate students to achieve and continue to grow. It is an emergent process that evolves over time and becomes stronger as it adapts to new challenges even as it remains true to its core principles. Educators have a vital role to play and must adhere to the principle of value orientation to further accentuate its educational and societal impact. Value-centric teaching enables a deeper exploration of life, enhancing knowledge, its values, its meaning, and responsibilities.

What provides the foundation for deep-level presuppositions? Scholars have offered multiple possibilities: worldview universals, interests influenced by economics, social relationships, symbols, and narrative. This article attempts to answer this question by exploring the interrelationship between ideas, interests, economics, social relationships, narrative, and symbol. I argue that symbol-based narrative serves as the lifelong, foundational conceptualization agent that allows for the (re)construction of reality and relationships. Shared symbols and stories socialize the personality within the broader communal context; they construct and reconstruct social values and social relations.

John Paul II's encyclical, Fides et Ratio, describes a profound and causal connection between the teaching of modem Western philosophy and contemporary spiritual dilemmas. The Pope argues persuasively that modem philosophy has led modern man to a loss of faith in the nobility of human reason and the possible existence of meaningful human truths. Modem political philosophers wanted to bring the divine law of revealed Scripture into service of modem philosophic principles of the autonomy of human reason and freedom. John Locke sought to reorganize family life in accordance with such modem principles. Locke clearly modified Biblical teaching to allow for more liberty for the autonomous individual in his imagined liberal democratic society of the future. John Paul II is among those who urge Christians in the West to examine our present social disintegration in light of the foundational ideas that have formed modem liberal societies. We must understand how these ideas have contributed to our present social problems, and determine how to chart the best course for liberal democracy in the new Millennium.

"We previously described an applied values-based decision-making model and reported on its use in biopharmaceutical research and development (R&D)*. The model, known by the acronym “TRIP &TIPP”, uses company values along with framing questions as part of a five-step process to guide decisions to complex questions. The employees are engaged as moral agents applying values and principles. Their moral intuition is guided by systematic use of explicit framing questions to increase the understanding and clarity of the values and contextual questions to facilitate the practical implementation of solutions. Sometimes these solutions lead to the creation of internal guidelines in the company. The ethical norms for biopharmaceutical R&D are shaped by the interaction between ethical reasoning and the context of the situation. Several levels of context are relevant here. First, that of the company within society, which is represented by the stakeholders in our model. This societal context is dynamic as societal expectations change over time. Second, the context of the employees within the company: how the company is organized, its mission, vision and values, as well as the capabilities, experiences and beliefs of the employees. Third, the specifics of the R&D question itself, which requires a pragmatic, solution-oriented, bioethical approach. Finally, ethical deliberation leads to evolving company practices addressing science, technology and society changes. "

Christian Parent Controlled (CPC) Schools, which commenced in the 1960s, are a relatively small, but growing component of the non-government schooling sector in Australia. In 2001, they enrolled over 22 000 students in 85 schools. Very little research has been conducted on the values and practices of CPC schools and while these schools frequently assert that they promote explicitly Christian values, their foundational values have not previously been identified or recorded. This research identifies the key foundational values which are characteristic of these schools and examines the extent to which these values continue to influence the prevailing practices of these schools. Consideration is given to the implications of the relationship between foundational values and prevailing practices for the identity, development and leadership of CPC schools in Australia. The ability of these schools to articulate their foundational values and consider their prevailing practices in the light of these values should enhance their ability to understand their heritage, assess their current situation and plan their future. The research found that in general, prevailing practices in these schools give faithful expression to the foundational values; however, the research also identified a number of areas where CPC schools struggle to engage consistently with these values. As a result of this study, recommendations are proposed to assist national and school-based leadership in their strategic planning for the maintenance of these values and the future of these schools.

This study aims to examine how upper secondary English teachers work with foundationalvalues and controversial topics through fictional works in order to discuss the function of valuesand the civic mission in the EFL-classroom. The study was conducted using a qualitativeapproach through semi structured interviews, interviewing seven currently active uppersecondary English teachers. To structure the data from the interviews a thematic analysis wasapplied, and the theoretical approaches used for analysing the data were transformativepotential and narrative imagination. The results of this study show that the participants have an interest in using fictional workscontaining controversial issues for discussing foundational values in the classroom. The studyalso shows that there are both common challenges and advantages of teaching controversialissues through fiction. All participants had similar opinions about the advantages which werethe emergence of expanding worldviews and perspectives among pupils. The challengesmentioned among the participants were: reading in a second language, giving the pupils enoughpre-knowledge and knowing which position to take as a teacher during discussions aboutcontroversial topics. Noticeable differences in the teachers’ opinions were due to their lengthof work experience. Finally, the civic mission in the EFL-classroom could be distinguished inthe teachers’ arguments of why they implement fictional works with controversial topics intheir teaching.

How  to  interpret  and  elucidate  from  a  phenomenological  perspective  the  requirement  that  philosophical theorizing ought to  consider  the  legitimacy  or universal validity  of  ethical  principles  as  well  as the diversity of life forms? What could phenomenology say about the distance between  the  theoretical  foundations  of  ethics  and  the  practical  application  of its principles? To elucidate these questions, first, we take the characteristics of Habermas’s discourse ethics as reference point to show what Scheler’s material ethics of values consists in and in what sense it rejects both universalism and relativism. Secondly, we present the concepts that articulate the phenomenological foundations of this ethics in order to indicate in what sense the universal” and the individual” are taken as complementary. Starting from some questions concerning the problem of the distance between theory and practice raised by this conception, we sketch finally some thematic lines to indicate to what extent it is possible to expect from the material ethics of values to shorten that distance.

In the light of the declining moral standards in South African society, there is a need for children to be supported and developed on their journey towards responsible adulthood. The school is regarded as one of the most relevant stakeholders in the teaching of values for the moral development of the younger generation in particular and broader society in general. I observed how teachers impart values to leaners through the subject Life Skills that also includes the moral aspect. This study employed a qualitative research method using a case study of four schools and twelve teachers. The four schools were purposefully selected to obtain a deeper understanding of the participants' experiences from different perspectives. The selected schools are from different socio-economic backgrounds. Two schools were selected from rural areas. However, the areas differed in the sense that one was in a traditional village under the authority of a tribal chief while other was on trust land bought by the residents. One school was selected from an informal settlement and one from a semi-urban area. Semi-structured interviews and classroom observations were conducted to gather data. Teachers were interviewed after school and field notes were taken to record data collected from the participants in order to examine how teachers understood and implemented teaching values education in the foundation phase. These values include, amongst others, social justice and equity whereby freedom of choice and access to education are highlighted. The study found that the professional training of life skills teachers and multiculturalism during life skills lessons, i.e. the cultural differences between the teachers and learners as members of a community, need to be addressed. The study also recommends that a relationship of trust between parents and schools should be established to help enable teachers to address the issue of moral regeneration in our society. Classroom observation was conducted during the collection of data. School policy documents were analysed and teachers were interviewed to get a deeper understanding of how they understood values and how they contributed to the development of young citizens. From the observations and interviews, it could be deduced that teachers have different understandings of values education. It was also found that teachers find it difficult to contextualise and reconcile cultural values with the values that they are supposed to teach at school. The recommendations based on the findings of my study include the professional training of Life Skills teachers and the promotion of multiculturalism during Life Skills lessons where the cultural differences between learners and teachers are addressed. The study also recommends that the relationship of trust between teachers, parents and the larger society should be entrenched in order to assist teachers to instil values in young learners.

Previous research has demonstrated that a network model of destination value creation (i.e. the Destination Value System model) based on the flows of travelers within a destination can be used to estimate and predict individual attractions’ marginal contributions to total visitor expenditures. While development to date of the Destination Value System (DVS) has focused on the value created from dyadic relationships within the destination network, previous research supports the proposition that system-level network structures significantly influence the total value created within a destination. This study, therefore, builds upon previous DVS research in order to determine the relationships between system-level network structures and total value creation within a destination. To answer this question econometric analysis of panel data covering 43 Florida destinations over the period from 2007 to 2015 was conducted. The panel data was created utilizing volunteered geographic information (VGI) obtained from 4.6 million photographs shared on Flickr. Results of econometric analysis indicate that both seasonal effects and DVS network structures have statistically significant relationships with total tourism-related sales within a destination. Specifically, network density, network out-degree centralization, and network global clustering coefficient are found to have negative and statistically significant effects on destination value creation, while network in-degree centralization, network betweenness centralization, and network subcommunity count are found to have positive and statistically significant effects. Quarterly seasonality is also found to have dynamic and statistically significant effects on total tourism-related sales within a destination. Based on the network structures of destinations and total tourism related sales within destinations, this study also uses k-means cluster analysis to classify tourism destinations into a taxonomy of six different system types (Exploration, Involvement, Development I, Development II, Consolidation, and Stars). This taxonomy of DVS types is found to correspond to Butler’s (1980) conceptualization of the destination life cycle, and additional data visualization and exploration based on the DVS taxonomy finds distinct characteristics in destination structure, dynamics, evolution, and performance that may be useful for benchmarking. Additionally, this study assesses the quality of VGI data for tourism related research by comparing DVS network structures based on Flickr data and visitor intercept survey data. Support for the use of VGI data is found, provided that thousands of observations are available for analysis. When fewer observations are available, aggregation techniques are recommended in order to improve the quality of overall destination network system quantification. This research makes important contributions to both the academic literature and the practical management of destinations by demonstrating that DVS network structures significantly influence the economic value created within the destination, and thus suggests that a strategic network management approach is needed for the governance of competitive destinations. As a result, this study provides a strong foundation for the DVS model and future research in the areas of destination resiliency, “smarter” destination management, and tourism experience design.

Streszczenie:
This thesis addresses the question of what Nyerere’s particular version of Ujamaa (socialism) is. It answers that question by focusing on themes which surround and feed into Ujamaa, in order to provide its conceptual account. The thesis is an account of the ideology of Ujamaa in both theory and practice. Thus while the writings of Nyerere have been a primary source along with contemporary and subsequent commentators, the thesis is not about Nyerere, the person or the body of his work, but about the development and construction of the particular social, cultural, and political theory and practice. Therefore, only the elements of Nyerere’s thought which speak directly about this have been included. Data was collected from the writings of Nyerere as a primary source and supplemented with the work of other commentators in order to argue that Ujamaa was not just a development theory but it was also an ideology, a reconstruction of an imaginary relationship at the level of the state, which should be reinstated in order to free Tanzanians from the yoke of domination. Thus, as well as being interesting historically and conceptually, the thesis might also be relevant considering the contemporary political situation in Tanzania.

Streszczenie:
Ecological economists aim to study the interrelations between ecological and economic systems, with a view to promoting changes towards sustainability. They agree that the nature of global environmental crises is systemic and rooted in economic dynamics. Yet, core economic categories, such as prices, profits, money and their interrelations with ecological destruction, are surprisingly undertheorized. The 'economic' becomes either tied to neoclassical economics or remains neglected. Marxian Political Economy has the potential to address this gap, but is mostly ignored in ecological economics, especially in what it is best at: explaining dynamics of the capitalist system as a whole. This PhD advocates a more systemic and theoretically grounded ecological economics. I find that neoclassical economic reasoning is rooted much deeper in ecological economics than often assumed. I present a critique of the neoclassical underpinnings of ecological economics, and a Marxian alternative. I identify the Marxian understanding of 'value' and 'capital' as the missing core of ecological economics: a realistic understanding of the capitalist system, spelled out from basics in simple and abstract terms. I explain these foundations and integrate them with a system dynamics understanding of global ecological destruction, social crises and barriers to social change. I conclude that ecological economics needs to be grounded in a realistic understanding of capitalism - if it aspires to meet its own ambitions. Economic theory and methodology are powerful political tools towards this end: they expose or conceal root causes of social ecological problems and offer better or worse guidance on how to act. Pragmatism about the role of theory and methodology is dangerous, more often than not, because it promotes the reproduction of power relations that prevent, instead of encourage, sustainability transitions. I argue for the need to break with existing prejudices against the Marxian approach and take it seriously as realistic economic theory.

AbstractThe 2018 CJEU ruling in LM highlighted the importance of judicial independence for the rule of law and protection of the right to fair trial. In so doing, the judgment raised problematic questions about the relationship between Article 2 values and the EU Charter rights, and their connection with mutual trust. This chapter considers these issues through the lens of human dignity, which is both the first foundational value under Article 2 and the first right in the EU Charter. By discussing how the LM judgment raises the constitutional status of the right to a fair trial, this chapter argues that a focus on human dignity could effectively link Article 2 values with EU Charter rights and facilitate assessment of their respective breach.

Streszczenie:
Abstract Whether infringement procedures are suitable to enforce the EU’s foundational values is contested. According to critics, they lead to a miscategorisation of the problems because rule of law concerns are reframed as concrete EU law violations. Others see infringement procedures as a powerful alternative to the Article 7 procedure, stressing their potential to depoliticise rule of law-related conflicts. As we still lack systematic studies on the deployment and effects of infringement procedures in rule of law related cases, this chapter analyses all seven procedures with rule of law relevance launched against Hungary since 2010. It analyses whether the Commission indeed miscategorised the cases and how the Hungarian government reacted legally and rhetorically. The findings cast doubt on the premises that the procedures depoliticise the conflicts and that the correct categorisation of rule of law problems could induce compliance with the EU’s foundational values.

Abstract PETRONAS Upstream is cognizant of the need to provide a unified digital production platform to the entire upstream community. The digital platform enables the community to perform analytical, collaborative monitoring & surveillance, and optimization to sustain production and improve our operations. Digital Fields (DF) is a modern digital platform, integrating data and analytical services, that provides smarter insights and shed light on potential insights that contribute to better-informed decision-making and improves the way of working. A big data ecosystem and strong infrastructure is the foundation of this digital platform, allied to existing business processes, it allows frictionless secure flow of data, high performance, scalability to support business operations. Digital Fields platform provides the following features: Scalable to all PETRONAS fields operated in Malaysia as well as International assets Solution architecture that allows fast implementation of new solutions and insights A common company-wide platform with the same familiar user interface and user experience The critical aspect to liven up a digital production platform is to identify first the available data sources. Some fields have the luxury of transmitters and sensors installed at the well head, topside facilities and export pipelines where the data can be easily retrieved from the SCADA system for data acquisition. Some other fields with less real-time data luxury would keep their operational data inside some operational reporting documents. A smart report ingestion solution was developed with the means to transform unstructured data from the operational reports, which empowers the users with multiple options for data upload and consumption while ensuring a single, traceable and auditable source of truth. Digital Fields leverages the combination of Daily Operation Reports (DOR), data with different frequency, such as real-time data, with engineering models changing the way the users consume data and provides proactive actionable insights to accelerate tangible values for the business organization. The solution establishes the foundational digital capabilities for field operations and speeds up data-driven value opportunities from operational data and analytics at scale.

In this paper some initial boundary value problems for beam and plate equations will be studied. These initial boundary values problems can be regarded as simple models describing free oscillations of plates on elastic foundations or describing coupled torsional and vertical oscillations of a beam. An approximation for the solution of the initial-boundary value problem will be constructed by using a two-timescales perturbation method. For the plate on an elastic foundation it turns out that complicated internal resonances can occur for specific parameter values.

Abstract Upstream wind turbine turbulence can negatively impact the aerodynamic performance of downstream wind turbines. It is important to understand and evaluate the characteristic nature of this inflowing turbulence. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a foundational analytical tool used to help predict and describe both boundary layer behavior and the resulting downstream turbulence for both these upstream turbines and the impacted downstream turbines. Increasing the predication accuracy of turbulence models, particularly at the higher Reynolds number regimes, commonly encountered at the outer radius of wind turbine blades, remains a fundamental consideration in such CFD analysis. The work discussed here focuses on understanding how CFD simulations can be impacted by basic CFD approaches and configurations. Commonly use unstructured grids and incremental positive angles of attack around the well-studied NACA0012 airfoil were used to assess how these basic set-up parameters can influence CFD turbulence results. Navier-Stokes equations were solved for incompressible flow to assess downstream turbulence using the SST k-ω (two equation) turbulence model within ANSYS Fluent (SIMPLE solution method). Two airfoil configurations with respect to angle of attack (α) were of interested and studied, with one configuration defined as “fixed-position” and the second configuration defined as “changed-position”. Fixed-position refers to a single common airfoil/grid configuration and changing incoming ux, vy velocity vectors to yield different angle of attack (α) values. Changed-position refers to a utilizing a single ux velocity vector and physically rotating the impacted airfoil in the computational field to yield different angles of attack. A two-dimensional unsteady state SST k-ω turbulence model was used at a Reynolds of 3.0 × 106. The resulting data from the system setup models studied here (fixed and changed-positions) were successfully validated by comparing the computed lift and drag coefficients at these varying α values to common values found in literature. Downstream pressure contours, along with Ux and Vy, and net-velocity contours at various distances from 1.5 cord lengths up to 12.0 cord lengths from the leading edge of the airfoil at incremental angles of attack were studied. The authors review how such variations in rudimentary approaches impact the CFD downstream output results.

Streszczenie:
In sodium-cooled fast reactors, it is very important to evaluate sodium-water reaction from the viewpoint of safety. If once it happens in the steam generator, it is desirable its scale is small and its reaction is mild. The sodium dispersing nano particles is expected to mitigate the sodium-water reaction. Nano particles is titan particles whose diameter is tens nanometer and dispersing rate in sodium is several percent. In order to find out the effect clearly, it is essential to evaluate the reaction behavior and characteristics of physical properties closely. For this purpose, we tried to measure the surface tension of sodium dispersing nano particles as an important part of foundational physical property. We had employed the pendant drop method for the measurement, with which we can measure surface tension from the shape of pendant drop. This method is suitable for our measurement because nano sample is very limited. The measurement was done in a sealed box keeping inert gas atmosphere, which is required for sodium experiment because of an easy chemical reaction of sodium with oxygen and moisture. At first, we did a series of experiments for pure sodium. We succeeded to make pendant drops between 150°C and 350°C. For the measurement, we selected only the drops in clear mirror surface with axial symmetry. The scatter range of obtained results is slightly larger than that of a recommended equation. We estimated that it was caused due to a weak wet condition on the edge face of nozzle. Then we measured the surface tension of the sodium dispersing nano particles under the same condition. The obtained results almost show values larger than those of pure sodium. The dispersion rate of nano particles has an uncertainty in the present study. However even in giving the worst evaluation, the measured surface tensions for the sodium dispersing nano particles show larger values than those for the pure sodium.

Streszczenie:
The first report prepared under the Turkey of the Future project is on education, where our country has long been in a search for stability and methodology. The report aims to realistically study in 2018 what needs to be accomplished when looking forward to 2030 using quantitative and qualitative data. In this context, the study begins by explaining the state of education in the new millennium and the problems experienced from this perspective. The context necessary in resolving the issues and bettering current circumstances has been also emphasized in the purview of the report. Along with these improvements, students’ national and international examination performances are also analyzed. Finally, the developed policies, solution recommendations, and improvements have been presented in 12 points on the vision of the future. In preparing the report, the primary framework has been shaped by the relevant scientific literature, the framework and principal values established by the İLKE Foundation for Science, Culture and Education within the scope of the Turkey of the Future Project, and the educational perspectives of the research team. Besides multidisciplinarity and systems approach, locality and originality have been the two principal values when preparing this report.

Bridging the skills gap is necessary to increase productivity and equity. In Latin America and the Caribbean, this challenge has manifested in high rates of youth unemployment, informality, and inactivity. Traditional higher education has struggled to respond to this challenge, with rising costs limiting access and poor outcomes forcing students to question the value of a university degree. In this paper, we explore a model for collaboration between higher education providers and employers designed to overcome these challenges. In this co-op model, students earn a bachelors degree in three years, while also working part-time during the second and third years. This model provides students with the foundational skills and knowledge needed to become broad, interdisciplinary thinkers, while also giving them valuable work experience for which they earn credit while pursuing their degree. Economic constraints are addressed by students degrees being partly subsidized by an employer, who benefits by easily hiring employees who can fill their most critical human resource needs.

Streszczenie:
The purpose of this study is to present a factual picture of the multiple groundwater governance frameworks that cover the same transboundary aquifers on the Texas-Mexico border. The study can then serve as a foundation to support future research and as a reference for those sharing groundwater resources on the border to use in considering whether and how to coordinate management. Currently, Texas A&M School of Law, the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, and the Texas Water Resources Institute are collaboratively pursuing a larger interdisciplinary project, and the study presented in this report is part of that concerted endeavor. First, the project establishes a study area, then identifies who are the stakeholders in the area, and finally summarizes the various rules each entity applies to groundwater. The study area selected is based on the aquifers identified in the 2016 study noted above (see Figure 1). Although there is currently no formal agreement between governments or users in Mexico and Texas for managing the reservoirs that cross underneath the international border, this survey represents a preliminary step in addressing the larger problems that the absence of a cooperative groundwater management framework presents. All of the institutional approaches employed in the various jurisdictions surveyed here model features from which developing management approaches could draw. Equally, noting gaps in the institutional approaches themselves and the ad hoc groundwater withdrawals occurring outside the reach of those institutions illustrates potential value in engaging local users in Texas’ and Mexico’s respective groundwater governance arrangements.

Over a quarter of the world’s population makes a living farming and working on small areas of land. These smallholder farmers contribute significantly to global food supply chains, but despite this make up a large proportion of the world’s poorest people, with many living on less than $2 a day. Between 2015 and 2020, Oxfam, Unilever and the Ford Foundation worked in close partnership on a joint initiative, the Enhancing Livelihoods Fund (ELF). The fund’s main objective was to improve the livelihoods of smallholders linked to Unilever’s extended value chains. It focused in particular on women, innovative pilots and learning. This report highlights key results and lessons learned. It is intended for NGOs, companies and donors who have an interest in improving smallholder-based value chains, especially through multi-stakeholder partnerships between NGOs and the private sector.
