Streszczenie:
Introduction: Infertility, one of the most common conditions confronting gynecologists, is defined as inability to conceive after 1 year of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. Infertility is a problem of global proportion. In recent years, laparoscopy has been considered as important tool in diagnosis and treatment of infertility. Objective: To detect the diagnostic efficacy of laparoscopy in uterine, tubal and ovarian pathologies. Material and Methods: This was a retrospective study carried out in Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh from July to December 2022 in collaboration with Department of Radiodiagnosis & Department of Pathology. Study included sixty one cases of both primary and secondary infertility in women. We included only those infertile ladies whose husbands showed normal semen analysis. A detailed clinical history especially marital and obstetric history of the patients was taken. Through gynaecological examination was done and all necessary investigations (baseline endocrinal investigations, post coital study, cervical mucus study, ovulation study, post menstrual HSG) were done before laparoscopic examination. Written consent form was taken from all the patients. Results: Among 61 patients, 39 (63.9%) belonged to primary infertility and 22 (36.1%) were of secondary infertility. In primary (58.9%) and secondary infertility (59.1%) maximum number of patient belonged to age group of 21-25 years followed by 21-25 years age group in primary infertility and 31-36 years age group in secondary infertility. Peritubal or peri-ovarian adhesions were present in 15 cases of primary infertility and 5 cases of secondary infertility. Thirty four patients (56.67%) had normal ovaries. Conclusion: Due to safety and cost effectiveness, laparoscopy is considered as important diagnostic tool for evaluation of cause of infertility in women and for effective treatment decisions.

ABSTRACT Introduction Female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is very common among infertile patients. Whether FSD leads to infertility or infertility leads to FSD is still less understood. Objectives To study the prevalence of FSD and various factors that can lead to sexual dysfunction. Materials and methods This is a cross-sectional observational study conducted at a tertiary care center in Ahmedabad from June 2015 to March 2016. A total of 240 infertile patients in reproductive age group (20—47 years) were studied, for which informed consent was obtained. Female sexual dysfunction was assessed with a detailed 19-item female sexual function index questionnaire. All six domains of sexual dysfunction, i.e., desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction, and pain, were studied. Various associated factors like gynecological and psychological disorders were also studied. Fertile patients were excluded. Results The prevalence of FSD among infertile patients was 48.75%. The most common sexual dysfunction was arousal (94.01%) followed by lubrication (89.74%) and orgasm dysfunction (85.47%). Psychological status of patients had significant impact on sexual life. Conclusion Sexuality is an important part of an individual's personality. With time, stress in life and sexual dysfunction are also increasing. Therefore, sexual function assessment should be included in the routine workup for infertility. How to cite this article Mishra VV, Nanda S, Agarwal R, Choudhary S, Aggarwal R, Goyal P. Streszczenie:
Female bottlenose dolphins (genusTursiops) usually associate at moderate level with other females within social clusters called bands or cliques. It has been suggested that reproductive state may play the predominant role in determining associations within femaleT. truncatusbands. Here, we test the hypothesis that reproductive state correlates with associations of female Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins (T. aduncus). We found that females in similar reproductive state, which included females from late pregnancy to the first year of their calves' life or females from early pregnancy to their calves' newborn period, had higher-association coefficients with each other than they did with females in different reproductive states (females with older calves or without calves). This was observed both within and across social clusters suggesting that reproductive state, at least for pregnant females and those with young calves, plays an important role in determining who to associate with. However, a female's most frequent associate was not always with another in similar reproductive state. We suggest that several factors, including reproductive state, may be of importance in determining associations of female bottlenose dolphins.

Background: Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting practice became documented within the 28 countries of the European Union, Norway, and Switzerland as a result of migrations of females. The WHO originally prohibited the medicalization of FGM/C in 1979, at the first international conference on the subject. Aim: The present study was carried out to assess Females' Intention to practice Female Genital Mutilation for their Daughters at Beni-Suef. Subject & Methods: A Descriptive Cross-sectional study carried out in family health centers (FHCs) in different sitting at BeniSuef Governorate. А Structured Interviewing Questionnaire sheet which includes knowledge regarding complications Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting, Intention to practice FGM/C, and Causes for intention or not to practicing FGM/C. Results: About 64% and 59.6% of females knew that FGM/C causes psychological and social problems, respectively, 56% had a misconception that FGM/C does not affect the woman's sexual satisfaction. About 29.7% are suffering from complications after FGM. About 47.9% of females had the intention to mutilate their daughters and support the continuation of FGM for young generations, 39.8% had already mutilated their daughters or sisters. The procedures were performed by physicians (61.1%), and 6.9% had complications. Conclusion: Most of females knew that FGM/C causes psychological problems and social problems; however most of them had misconception that FGM/C does not affect the woman's sexual satisfaction. Most the study sample had the intention to mutilate their daughters and support the continuation of FGM for young generations. The highest percent of procedures were performed by physicians. Recommendations: Motivations and behavior change of females and health care workers to perform FGM/C.

Streszczenie:
Abstract1. In the sex role reversed pipefish Syngnathus typhle females compete for males, and males are more choosy than females. Before mating, females display a temporary sexual ornament in the form of a lateral zigzag pattern, which is an amplification of their permanent colour pattern. 2. In experiments males showed no significant preferences for permanently contrast-rich females, nor for females matching closely with the background. 3. Females in physical contact with a male could potentially develop the ornament, but under female-female competition females were more likely to display it than otherwise. 4. The ornament accurately predicted female mating success. More ornamented females displayed more actively towards males and were found closer to males than were non-ornamented females. 5. Females under predation threat were less ornamented than un-threatened females, suggesting a reduced potential for male choosiness under threat. 6. We conclude that the female ornament serves both to attract partners (males) and repel competitors (females).

Streszczenie:

When we talk about the females employment in different organization, it is till treated in different disciplines. There are some gaps linked to it which still need to be filled in order to give equal opportunities to females as well. Although, from the last few decades it is been said and noticed that the number of females are rising to the top which is a symbol of progressive social change. However, it is also been noticed that there is still gender inequality in top management positions which leads to under presentation of females in top management position.

The society and the masculine man has developed some theories. Due to which, it is been said that female qualities do not contribute to the required management attributes. For instance, In order to have an executive role, a person must be more aggressive, competitive, more task oriented etc. but females always have the opposite qualities. For instance, interpersonal relations, emotional, collaborative etc.

This paper is an effort that shows the obstacles that woman faces in order to reach top management positions. Moreover, I also tried to describe that the traditional leadership model is linked to the masculine stereotypes. Henceforth, I tried to explain that the new organizational culture requires also the feminine stereotypes (emotions, interpersonal relations, cooperation etc). So, one could say that the leadership is not just linked to the masculine stereotypes but it also requires more of feminine qualities as well.

The empirical study involves the semi structured interviews from men and women on management positions and also general discussions with the public. Based on these interviews and discussions I tried to analyze if both male and female follow the gender stereotypes and if they have difference in leadership styles according to gender.

Hence, companies should have a more diversity in their organization in order to have more flexibility in organizational culture.

This study analyzed the current phenomenon of bystanders recording female-on-female violent videos. This year marked the first time a YouTube video made national headlines for showing a woman beaten unconscious outside of a nightclub. The current study analyzed the volume of bystanders recording female-on-female violence, the amount of bystanders who revealed themselves as the video director, and the increase in violence and nudity within the YouTube videos. A content analysis provided a systematic and historical understanding of this female-on-female violence as a cultural phenomenon. In the seven-year period from 2007-2014, 64 percent of bystanders revealed themselves as the video director; a 55 percent increase in females punching each other; and a 40 percent increase in nudity. The data provides a platform for researchers to learn how female-on-female violence went from "cat fights" to beating a woman unconscious while recording it on a smart phone.

Skouroumouni, A. "Staging the female : studies in female space in Euripides". Thesis, University College London (University of London), 2011. http://discovery.ucl.ac.uk/1317801/.

Pełny tekst źródła
Streszczenie:
The words of Medea or Alcestis may be the only thing we are left with. Yet it was not the only means Euripides had at his disposal to render them onstage; his dramatic toolkit included spatial staging. This aspect of his dramaturgy provides the lens through which I explore Euripidean tragedy and Euripidean females. The tragic female has been studied in depth in past and more recent scholarship, with vital insights gained. Nevertheless, what previous scholarship has rarely considered in any detail is the physical representation of the female (the particularities of her postures, movement, physical action and interaction) in physical and imagined dramatic space (what I term ‘female space’). My focus, both performative and gendered, falls on the staging techniques defining the female, explored against the background of fifth-century cultural values of original spectators. By combining analysis of theatrical features with readings of Euripidean females and plays, the thesis engages in a process of visualising female physicality in interactive theatrical space and exploring its thematic significance in the construction of character, theme, and action. An introductory chapter delineates my conceptual and methodological framework (theoretical background, approach, terms). Three case studies constitute the three main chapters: Helen, Iphigenia Taurica, and Andromache. In each of the chosen dramas, the female is placed away from home and homeland: in Helen and IT the Greek woman is displaced in foreign lands, in Andromache the non-Greek is transported into Greece. Dislocation to alien environments is the extreme form of the theatrical challenge to the female spatial experience; hence the need (and the choice) for special investigation. The examination of the different ways in which aspects of female experience are (literally) played out allows us to evaluate Euripides’ skill as writer and director from a new perspective.

This study investigated how mock jurors perceive female-female sexual harassment. Participants read a case vignette depicting female-female sexual harassment where the sexual orientation of the harasser (lesbian vs. straight) and type of sexual harassment (approach vs. reject vs. generalized) were counterbalanced across participants. Participants were asked to make a liability determination for the case. They were also asked to rate the unwanted conduct on several legally relevant dimensions (e.g., severity, pervasiveness, unwelcomeness). Results show that sexual orientation of the harasser is the most important factor used to determine liability, with participants finding more liability when the harasser was lesbian than when the harasser was straight. Participants similarly found the same conduct to be more severe, pervasive, unwelcome, and threatening when the harasser was lesbian than when she was straight. As expected, female participants found more evidence of discrimination than male participants. These findings illustrate biases mock jurors may hold when making legal decisions in female-female sexual harassment cases.

The underrepresentation of female legislators is an important issue to investigate in our political system to improve women's role in government. I investigate factors that hinder and improve women's likelihood of being elected in state legislatures by using date from a variety of sources. The Center for American Women in Politics from Rutgers Eagleton Institute of Politics, Bloomberg News, Gallup Inc., and Elazar's work on political cultures contributed to this data to find factors across the nation that are strong determinants for the percentage of female legislators in each state. Overall, factors like the gender-equality ranking, political culture, conservativeness and religiosity of each state will have a direct impact on the number of women who are elected into the legislature.

Streszczenie:
This thesis focuses upon a distinctive form of ‘feminine-gendered’ fiction, that of the British female ensemble drama, that has proliferated across televisual schedules since the late 1970s and which has received little academic attention. Although not a discrete genre, the female ensemble drama is nevertheless identifiable as a distinctive form of ‘feminine-gendered’ fiction that is largely written and/or produced by women, which diegetically focuses on particular communities of female characters and which is predominantly aimed at female audiences. The purpose of this text-based analysis of the female ensemble drama is to engage with a central concern of feminist television criticism, that of the gendered identity of this particular media form and the constructions of gender within it given its association with women at these three sites of production, text and audience. While I provide a historical overview of the development of this form of drama in relation to its textual precedents I isolate a particular moment in the history of this form of drama, that of the late 1990s, for closer analysis. Firstly I isolate the late 1990s to provide knowledge and understanding of the way in which the ‘feminine’ identity of this form of drama has contributed to its academic neglect within this socio-cultural period. Secondly I provide a close textual analysis of the constructions of ‘women’ within three female ensemble dramas in order to engage with and explore the textual negotiations they embody surrounding discourses of feminism and post feminism, de- and re-traditionalization in this particular period. While these themes have begun to be addressed in feminist television criticism they have largely been explored in relation to constructions of femininity in American dramas. This analysis then, allows for an exploration of these discourses in relation to a regional form of British drama. It is through investigating the academic neglect of this form of drama; providing a historical, thematic and aesthetic overview of the female ensemble drama as well as a detailed analysis of three of the female ensemble dramas of the 1990s that I contribute knowledge and understanding of this particular regional form of ‘feminine-gendered’ fiction to the field of Feminist Television Studies.

Streszczenie:
Abstract The development of any country lies in all members of society in a country, the old generation to the younger and new ones. After launching the vision of 2030 pillars, the circle of women barriers becomes wider and unlimited in the field of employment. In order to merge women in the oil and gas industry, the first milestone must be considered is creating opportunities in the labour market alongside educating and training them to acquire great learning and hone skills that qualify the women to be in the industrial workforce. It will widely contribute to the socio-economic change in a country. The female has individual skills and capabilities that the companies’ needs to achieve its business objectives. The institutes which are fundamentally structured; can open another facility which is targeted the female vocational and technical training based on the same assets (strategies & policies). Another way to do so is through collaboration with international vocational institutions, local female universities and colleges. These days there is no doubt that the oil and gas companies are critically needed for the local talents and diversity of its range. As an example, SPSP has planned to inaugurate a new female vocational & technical center, in the meantime will offer a major source of job opportunities for well trained and qualified young Saudi women that how we encourage and retain more Saudi female to the petroleum energy sector. The training programs will include Health & Safety, and Electrical Diploma. There is a lack of trained and qualified Saudi female technical workforce at the industry sector. To solve this problem, the education and the labour sectors must work simultaneously to empower the female in this field. Many companies need to retool the female candidates from functional roles such as HR or Finance to target them into practice hands-on roles. To sum up, as Vision 2030 of rewarding opportunities to the women stated, ‘’ we are directing significant investment toward unlocking their talents and supporting their contribution to the Kingdom’s economic growth.’’ Business leaders should call for an action to increase female’s opportunity at the energy sector side by side the government’s efforts in the female vocational training programs.

Streszczenie:
This research looks into the mobility problems that female travelers undergo, with an emphasis on Sri Lankan women. Males and females have different social and economic roles and obligations in most civilizations, and as a result, there are major gender variations in travel and transportation demands. The aim of this research is to investigate the mobility issues of females while traveling. This research analyzes mobility problems of female travelers with special reference to the Western province of Sri Lanka. This research targets to identify the mobility barriers which affect the females’ lifestyle, the problems, and threats females have faced, and the way they go through these problems. The socioeconomic, perspective of people, and travel behavior data were collected from 450 females by using a paper-based questionnaire in August 2021. Ordinal logistic regression analysis and Chi-square test were used to analyze the data. According to the results, sexual harassment while traveling was a significant problem. Among the respondents, 17% of respondents stated that sexual harassment was the most concerning security risk when traveling and 46.8% of female respondents faced sexual harassment when traveling by buses. Based on the types of harassment 26% of females experienced physical harassment as the most frequent harassment type and 25% experienced verbal harassment in public places or public transportation. Majority 42% of the females were strongly stated that they faced sexual harassment problems after dark. Poor maintenance of open public spaces, overcrowded buses/trains, lack of effective/visible police or civil guards, and lack of regulation on transport safety such as men dealing with or taking alcohol/drugs were factors that contribute to sexual harassment by females in public places and transport. The results of this analysis provide valuable insights into the mobility problems of female travelers in day-to-day life due to various reasons. Streszczenie:
Injuries to the upper extremities that are caused by dynamic impacts in crashes, including contact with internal instrument panels, has been a major concern, especially for smaller female occupants, and the problem worsens with increasing age due to reduced strength of the bones. From the analysis of 1988–2010 CDS unweighted data, it was found that risk of AIS ≥ 2 level for the arm was 58.2±20.6 percent higher in females than males, and the injury risk for a 75-year-old female occupant relative to a 21-year-old subjected to a similar physical insult was 4.2 times higher. Although injuries to upper extremities are typically not fatal, they can have long-term effects on overall quality of life. Therefore, it is important to minimize risks of injuries related to upper extremities, especially for elderly females, who are most at risk. Current anthropomorphic surrogates, like crash-test dummies, cannot be directly used to study injury limits, as these dummies were developed mainly to represent the younger population. The current study is focused on the development of a finite element (FE) model representing the upper extremity of an elderly female. This can be further used to analyze the injury mechanisms and tolerance limits for this vulnerable population. The FE mesh was developed through Computer Tomography (CT) scanned images of an elderly female cadaver, and the data included for validation of the developed model were taken from the experimental studies published in scientific literature, but only the data directly representing elderly females were used. It was found that the developed model could predict fractures in the long bones of elderly female specimens and could be further used for analyzing injury tolerances for this population. Further, it was determined that the developed segmental model could be integrated with the whole body FE model of the elderly female.

In this P-Insights report, Savitri Singh discusses the urgent issue of increasing women’s economic and political participation, especially in rural areas. As half of the world's population, it's time to address the glaring inequalities that deprive women of access to basic resources necessary for labor market participation. Empowering rural women is key to achieving national food security and economic growth. Drawing on her own experiences and examples of cooperatives in Asia, she offers positive solutions to this pressing issue.
