Diffractive optical elements (DOEs) are strictly related to the design wavelength due to the fact that they must introduce particular phase delay of the wavefront propagating through the structure. Mostly the attenuation of the material is not taken into account. In this article we propose to optimize thickness of the DOE by reducing introduced phase retardation but also attenuation. The efficiency of DOEs is determined by the method of coding phase distribution and can be easily measured by using diffraction orders of corresponding diffraction grating. Here, we analyze binary phase diffraction gratings with assumed attenuation. Full Text: PDF ReferencesJ.-L. Coutaz, Optoélectronique térahertz (Les Ulis CEDEX A, France, EDP Sciences 2012). Streszczenie:
Despite the lack of test data of the coefficient of pressure sensitivity α and the shearing cohesion k, the Drucker–Prager criterion is commonly applied for numerical analyses of geotechnical engineering. To bridge the gap between the wide application and insufficient knowledge of strength parameters of the Drucker–Prager criterion, this study presents experimentally calibrated strength parameters of this criterion for the first time. This paper proposes a new method to measure α and k in the Drucker–Prager criterion. The square root of the second invariant of the deviatoric stress tensor J 2 is linearly fitted with the first invariant of the stress tensor I 1 in the stress space. The parameters φ and c in the Mohr–Coulomb criterion and α and k in the Drucker–Prager criterion are calibrated to the same set of triaxial compression tests of sandstones. With these testing results, five pairs of conversion formulae (which are most commonly used in the literature) are examined and the most appropriate pair of conversion formulae is identified. With parameters indicating cohesive strength (c and k) and parameters indicating frictional strength ( φ and α ), the evolutions of different strength components are compared with those in the cohesion-weakening friction-strengthening model. With an increase in plastic deformation, the cohesive strength parameters c and k firstly increase to a peak value and then decrease. The frictional strength parameters φ and α gradually increase at a decreasing rate after the initial yield point.

Streszczenie:
We propose an elasto-plastic model coupled with damage for the behavior of geomaterials in compression. The model is based on the properties, shown in [S. Andrieux, et al., Un modèle de matériau microfissuré pour les bétons et les roches, J. Mécanique Théorique Appliquée 5 (1986) 471?513], of microcracked materials when the microcracks are closed with a friction between their lips. That leads to a macroscopic model coupling damage and plasticity where the plasticity yield criterion is of the Drucker–Prager type with kinematical hardening. Adopting an associative flow rule for the plasticity and a standard energetic criterion for damage, the properties of such a model are illustrated in a triaxial test with a fixed confining pressure.

Streszczenie:
New communication and information technologies are becoming the main force of the “new industrial revolution, which multiplies the capabilities of human intelligence”. The idea of an information society was formulated in the late 1960s – early 1970s. The term “information society” was coined by Yuri Hayashi, professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Researchers and developers of the information society theory are: M. Castells, F. Webster, E. Giddens, J. Habermas, D. Martin, D. Bell, G. Molitor, O. Toffler, Z. Brzezinski, A. King, D. Nesbit, A. Touraine, P. Drucker, M. McLuhan. The term “information society” reveals the objective process of society becoming gradually aware of the importance of information as some independent fundamental entity (along with energy and matter) and its transformation into a real productive force.

Together, we consider what is at stake—or what might be possible—when we connect legacies of photography used as diagnostic tools in gender clinics with snapshots of early, community-based gatherings, and the presence of trans people in contemporary art. From the archives of Robert J. Stoller and photos of Casa Susanna, to the collaborative photography of Zackary Drucker and Amos Mac, and the biometric data art-theory experiments of Zach Blas, we engage a series of image-based projects, which animate underlying questions and socio-political debates about the politics of visuality, and visibility’s impact on trans and gender non-conforming people. Moreover, we argue that rhetorical strategies of proof—from conditions verified in clinics to shared existence through photography—are tethered to, and thus trapped by, the logics and discipline of legibility and re-institutionalization.

Streszczenie:
Strategic planning has become, for decades, a fundamental element and competitive value of the management of companies of all sizes, through the application of appropriate tools to establish the situation of the organization and its perspectives. Defining a strategy enables organizations, both public and private, to clearly define the type of activity they perform and to address the challenges of their external and internal environment, through plans oriented toward productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. Through a bibliographic and documentary review, this article aims to establish the state of the question about strategic planning, especially in the context of the complexity of today's world that organizations must face, so affected by various situations such as economic contraction, the advancement of technologies, the environmental crisis, the redistribution of global power, the effects of the pandemic and new international tensions. It is concluded that strategic planning constitutes a specific competitive advantage for companies in all situations, including problems such as the current one related to the COVID 19 pandemic. The relevance of the article in the analysis of the modern geopolitical space in which there are dramatic changes that qualitatively alter the disposition of post-socialist countries and regions of the world under the influence of scientific, technological, information, organizational and social process. The process of forming regulatory mechanisms for the functioning of the financial markets of the post-Soviet countries is linked to the transformation processes of global monetary and financial relations management. In modern conditions, the national financial market cannot be separated from the processes occurring in the world economy. In the last decades theoretical and practical problems of geoeconomics and global science have been investigated in the works of foreign scientists: L. Abalkin, M. Alle, U. Anderson, A. Anikina, J. Ackerloff, J. Arriga, D. Bell, W. Beck, Z. Brzezinski, I. Wallerstein, L. Galitz, J. Gelbraith, E. Giddens, M. Golovnin, P. Drucker, A. Kavkin, M. Castels, D. Keynes, L. Krasavina, V. Kruglov and others. It is observed that in the process of interaction of various factors of development in the world markets, an appropriate market conjuncture is formed, which reflects changes in specific conditions of market functioning and supply and demand, related to the dynamics of prices for goods and profits of firms and based on the cyclical development of the world economy, reflecting the nature of a market economy. Research methods are based on general scientific principles and fundamental principles of economic theory, theories of international economic relations and financial globalization, evolving in the face of geo-economic changes. The development of post-socialist countries is characterized by significant differences in the rates of economic growth and stabilization of monetary and financial systems, which is caused by: first, a significant stratification of economies in terms of development; second, the disintegration processes in mutual trade and more successful integration into the global trading environment due to the accelerated liberalization of the foreign trade sector compared to the financial sector; third, the incompleteness of financial sector reforms and the low level of development of financial services markets, respectively, the inefficiency of financial integration; fourth, the monetary and financial systems of the countries of the region remain vulnerable to the external effects of the crisis. The most powerful post-socialist countries (Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan) make more effective use of the benefits of globalization in the sphere of integration into the world economy.

Streszczenie:
During the period of planned economies in Russia and Poland, services were underestimated as a sector of economic activity. To some degree, this continues to be the case. In spite of the existence of market economies in Central and Eastern Europe for more than 25 years, Russia and Poland should be categorized differently in terms of economic and social development. Based on D. Bell’s and his followers’ (M. Castells, A. Toffler, J. Rifkin, P. Drucker) theory of post-industrial society and post-industrial economy, Poland can be classified as a post-industrial country, while Russia is still an industrial country in many aspects. This point of view is based on global statistics and cross-country comparisons. The following statistical data has been used as a source for this research: share of services in GDP by country, contribution (value added) of seven main types of services to the respective GDP of Russia, Poland and other selected countries, value added and governmental expenditures per capita of primary services in aforementioned economies. The main differences between the Russian and Polish service sectors are indicated. The cases of Russia and Poland are presented here to highlight the key common features of Central and Eastern European countries’ tertiary sectors.

The article examines the aspects of forming the type of an effective manager. In connection with the emergence and frequent repetition in scientific and special literature, on the websites of educational organizations, and requests in the labor market for the concept of "effective manager", the existence of such a type of manager in classical scientific literature is clarified; the essence of the category "effectiveness" and the possibility of its application to a manager as a modern leader are clarified; the author's definition of "effective manager" is given; the characteristics of an effective manager presented in the works of Drucker P.F., Judith L.-J., Pearson B. and Thomas N. are analyzed. The article also analyzes (to a limited extent, within the framework of the article) the possibility of professional training in Ukraine through formal (in higher educational institutions) and informal education (business schools, training centers) in order to become an effective manager. The prospects for research lie in the field of continuing to study the characteristics and features of an effective manager in order to acquire and develop them in the system of education (formal and informal), self-education.Key words: modern requirements for managers, types of managers, effective manager, characteristics of an effective manager, professional training of a manager, informal education of a manager.

Streszczenie:
In post-industrial society, there is an increase in the role of small business as an integral element of the reproduction process. The activities of small and medium-sized businesses in our country are carried out on the basis of the established global trends. Difficulties in the dynamics of this sphere are formed under the influence of increased concentration of production and consolidation of enterprises, which gives rise to a number of problems and contradictions. Considering small business as the most important component of the market economy, its role in solving the problems of creating a competitive environment and ensuring employment should be noted. The scientific literature on the problem under consideration shows the versatility in the authors’ views of the small business role in economic development. This problem is disclosed in sufficient detail in the works of foreign authors (M Weber, J. Gelbraith, P. Drucker, W. Sombart, R. Cantillon, R Coase, J. Keynes, K. Marx, A. Marshall, L. Mises, A. Smith, J. Schumpeter and others). In Russia, L. Abalkin, A. Anchishkin, K. Bazhenov, S. Witte, V. Inozemtsev, M. Lapusta, L. Slutsky, P. Stolypin, M. Tugan-Baranovsky, A. Chayanov and etc. considered this problem. The article reveals the role of small business in the Russian economy, as well as the problems and contradictions of its functioning. On the basis of a systematic analysis of the current trends, the problems, efficiency and significance of small business are identified. Research has shown that the role of small businesses is greatly exaggerated. Small business development acts as a factor in reducing unemployment. In the process of economic activity, a number of problems arise that the enterprises themselves cannot solve. A set of measures is required to support this activity and overcome the crisis. It is important that small and medium-sized enterprises can form their own accumulation fund, which can be used to adapt in the face of stagnation, which will increase the size of the labor force and labor productivity. The crisis of small and medium-sized businesses leads to a multiplier effect in the economy, which reduces the volume of GDP. As a result of the “concentration of capital” among large producers, smallscale production becomes unproductive and unprofitable. The opportunities for obtaining loans from small businesses are very limited. Modern high-tech productive equipment is not available to most. In many enterprises, there is no separation in order to save financial resources on wages. The social security of employees is low. The prosperity of any country in a post-industrial society depends on big business; small business is only an auxiliary sphere of activity. Relying on small business, it is impossible to improve the quality of life, to ensure economic growth and national security. The results of the study can be used in determining the strategic guidelines of economic policy and choosing development priorities.

Streszczenie:
Herein, a one-parameter plasticity model proposed by Sun and Chen [Sun CT and Chen JL. A simple flow rule for characterizing nonlinear behavior of fiber composites. J Compos Mater 1989; 23: 1009–1020] demonstrates features that make it highly attractive for characterizing non-linear responses of fibrous composites. However, a detailed exploitation of the model’s potential has been halted by unresolved problems that include tension–compression asymmetry in stress–strain curves, FEM implementation as well as optimal parameters determination, which are addressed in this investigation as well as proposed solutions are presented. The major focus in Part I of this three-part study was devoted to developing a simple model for predicting the tension–compression asymmetry in stress–strain curves for fibrous composites, which was based on Sun and Chen’s one-parameter plasticity model. A generalized Hill yield criterion was proposed from combinations of the Drucker–Prager yield criterion that considers the effect of hydrostatic pressure for isotropic materials and the Hill yield criterion suitable for anisotropic materials. By incorporating the yield strength-differential effect on the plastic flow rule in composite laminates, the one-parameter plasticity model was extended to a strength-differential effect-incorporated model. The improved model has been calibrated and validated by off-axis tension and compression tests on unidirectional carbon/epoxy (IM600/Q133) composite laminates. Results verified that the proposed model captured the complex tension–compression asymmetry in observed non-linear responses of stress–strain curves.

Rutting and cracking occur simultaneously in asphalt mixtures as observed in the field and in the laboratory. Existing mechanical models have not properly addressed viscoelastic and viscoplastic deformation together with cracking attributable to model deficiencies, parameter calibration, and numerical inefficiency. This study developed viscoelasticplastic–fracture (VEPF) models for the characterization of viscoelasticity by Prony model and viscoplasticity by Perzyna’s flow rule with a generalized Drucker–Prager yield surface and a nonassociated plastic potential. Viscofracture damage was modeled by a viscoelastic Griffith criterion and a pseudo J-integral Paris’s law for crack initiation and propagation, respectively. The VEPF models were implemented in a finite element program by using a weak form partial differential equation modeling technique without the need for programming user-defined material subroutines. Model parameters were derived from fundamental material properties by using dynamic modulus, strength, and repeated load tests. Simulations indicated that the viscoelastic–viscoplastic–viscofracture characteristics were effectively modeled by the VEPF models for asphalt mixtures at different confinements and temperatures. An asphalt mixture under monotonic compressive loads exhibited a sequenced process including a pure viscoelastic deformation stage, a coupled viscoelastic–viscoplastic deformation stage, a viscoelastic–viscoplastic deformation coupled with a viscofracture initiation and a propagation stage, and then a viscoelastic–viscofracture rupture stage with saturated viscoplastic deformation. The asphalt mixture under repeated loads yielded an increasing viscoplastic strain at an increasing rate during the first half of the haversine load, while the increment of the viscoplastic strain (per load cycle) decreased with load cycles. The finite element program, which is based on a partial differential equation, effectively modeled the coupled viscoelastic–viscoplastic–viscofracture behaviors of the asphalt mixtures.

Relevance of the research topic. In the conditions of transformation, a special role in the formation of a favorable institutional environment for the intensification of investment activities in the agricultural sector is given to the state as an important institution for the organization of the process and its participants. Formulation of the problem. The relationship of investment activity with the processes of institutional transformation is still poorly studied in economic theory due to the novelty of this process and are systemic in nature. Here, a significant role is played, first of all, by the institutional features of the formation of a favorable investment environment in the conditions of deepening transformation and integration processes in the state. For the transformational economy, the system of economic property relations is an urgent problem, in particular, for the agricultural sector – it is land ownership. Analysis of recent research and publications. Many works of famous scientists are devoted to the issue of institutional theories of investment: A. Spithof [5, p. 330-331], J. Commons [3], W. Mitchell [15], J. Buchanan [4], W. Rostow [24], R. Coase [11], J. Ellull [27], R. Aron [18], J. Galbraith [30], J. Schumpeter [21], W. Favor [19], K. Eklund [7], A. Burley [6], G. Minz [6], I. Nadler [6], S. Chase [6], P. Drucker [26]. In Ukraine, scientific research of domestic scientists using the methodological tools of institutionalism A. Bykova, M. Kolesnik, T. Kosovo, N. Marenkov, A. Ivashina, V. Fedorenko is also presented. In the works of N. Marenkov [13], A. Bykova [1], O. Ivashina [1], M. Kolisnyk [9], M. Tugan-Baranovsky [20], the organization of the process of formation and development of non-market forms of economic interactions in conditions of transformation of social and economic relations. Selection of unexplored parts of the general problem. A special study of investment activity in the context of deepening transformation processes in the national economic system requires consideration of two aspects of this process: the need and principles of adaptation of investment institutions as carriers of another institutional tradition to the market environment; study of those positive institutional effects of direct investment, which contribute to the acceleration of institutional transformations, the adaptation of world "institutional standards" to national conditions. Setting the task, the purpose of the study. To study the theoretical and practical aspects of the relationship between structural and institutional transformation with the organization of the investment process in the agricultural sector. Method or methodology of the study. Institutionalism, as a scientific field, emerged at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries, as a trend that criticizes the methodological positions of the neoclassical school. Among the well-known representatives of this school are usually T. Veblen, J. Commons, W. Mitchell, D. Clark. At the same time, early institutionalism is sometimes considered as a precursor of Keynesianism [12, p. 28]. The methodological basis of the new institutionalism are the works of the classics of economic scientific thought. Presentation of the main material (results of work). The article examines the features of institutional support in the development of investment activitiesinthe agricultural sector. There is a need to take into account investment capacity in the methodology of analysis of investment potential,in the process of considering investment potential, from the point of view of the institutional approach. The processes of globalization are a catalyst in the search for ways to increase economic prosperity and an important prerequisite for this process is the investment potential. The possibility of using institutional theory in the development of investment activity is proved. A recommendation is given that the investment process and investment activities should be studied and considered in dynamics. Institutionalism focuses on a comprehensive study of economic systems. Theories of institutionalism related to investment are reduced to separate concepts of behavior of market participants and to the analysis of the investment climate. For the formation of international economic relations, an important element in determining the effectiveness of the global economy are approaches to institutional economics. The factor of high technology is an important factor in the formation of an economic institutional system. The subject of knowledge of institutional theory are institutions, and what are its advantages. The institute (as a subject of research), on the one hand, provides a broad view of the development of the economy and society, analysis of the economic system and society as a whole in interaction with other institutions, such as the state, and on the other - requires a deep and specific understanding institutions. From the point of view of representatives of institutionalism, institutions are a way of thinking and acting that is embodied in social customs, institutions, and rules. In the non-institutional direction, institutions are considered as factors influencing the decisions made by economic agents. The field of application of results. Directions for further development of the agricultural sector of the national economy depend on the investment policy that shapes the investment climate in the country and the ability of state institutions to implement it effectively. The investment process, as evidenced by world experience, is able to provide large-scale technical and technological renewal of the agricultural sector, which will result in increasing the competitiveness of agricultural production and ensuring sustainable social and economic development of the country. Conclusions according to the article. It should be noted that according to the methodology of the system approach, investment activity has all the hallmarks of a system that is developing dynamically and is influenced by external and internal institutional environment. The development of Ukraine's economy in the conditions of deepening transformation and integration processes is characterized by increasing influence of uncertainties and risks of the modern institutional environment in which investment activities are carried out not only by national but also foreign investors. Increasing the degree of uncertainty of the investment process in the transformation of the national social and economic system is due primarily to the fact that in the transition to market relations remain institutions and institutions inherited from the previous economic system, and market institutions are not yet formed or poorly functioning. Also, the development of the investment process is influenced by the constant change of the economic situation and the situation and competition in the investment capital market, the introduction of new technologies and methods of organizing the production process, and so on. Thus, institutionalism is a productive direction in the development of investment activities.

Abstract The landscape of atopic dermatitis (AD) treatment has witnessed an exponential increase in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) exploring systemic medications. These trials often incorporate topical therapies, such as topical corticosteroids and calcineurin inhibitors, either as permitted concomitant treatments (concomitant) or as rescue medications (rescue). Variable use of these topicals after randomization introduces potential bias as they may nullify or exaggerate treatment responses differentially. Factors such as treatment duration, application frequency and quantity further complicate the interpretation of trial results. Despite these complexities, there is a scarcity of literature addressing the systematic reporting of topical therapy details in AD clinical trials, particularly when evaluating systemic treatments. To address this gap, we reviewed current practices in reporting topical treatments in RCTs of AD systemic medication. Our primary objectives included determining the proportion of RCTs that clearly report the allowance or prohibition of concomitant and rescue topical treatments. Secondary outcomes involved examining the reporting of specific parameters for these topicals, such as type, potency, duration and application quantity. We used logistic regression models to explore the association between trial characteristics and clearly reporting the use of rescue therapy. We screened RCTs of AD systemic medication included in the living systematic review and network meta-analysis of AD systemic treatments by Drucker et al. (n = 83), spanning from inception to March 2023 (Drucker AM, Lam M, Elsawi R et al. Comparing binary efficacy outcomes for systemic immunomodulatory treatments for atopic dermatitis in a living systematic review and network meta-analysis. Br J Dermatol 2024; 190: 184–90). The majority adequately reported the allowance or prohibition of concomitant topical treatments (96%, 64 of 67), but this clarity was less prevalent regarding rescue topicals (73%, 49 of 67). All trials permitting concomitant therapies consistently reported the type, although details on potency (89%, 31 of 35), duration (54%, 19 of 35), application frequency (34%, 12 of 35) and quantity (6%, 2 of 35) were less frequently reported. Similarly, trials allowing rescue treatments often specified the type (91%, 31 of 34) but provided limited information on potency (53%, 18 of 34), duration (9%, 3 of 34), application frequency (6%, 2 of 34) and quantity (0%, 0 of 34). Notably, only 24% (8 of 34) clearly reported the criteria for using rescue topical treatments, with the phrase ‘at investigator’s discretion’ being used in most cases (62%, 21 of 34). In multivariate logistic regression models, the variable ‘publication year ≥ 2020’ was significantly associated with reporting the use of rescue topicals (adjusted odds ratio 9.55, 95% confidence interval 1.73–83, P < 0.001). Indeed, 31 of 33 trials published in 2020 or after clearly reported their use. In conclusion, while most AD clinical trials of systemic treatments report concomitant topical treatments, reporting practices for rescue topicals were less consistent and inadequate. The observed association with clearer reporting in more recent publications suggests a positive trend. Nonetheless, a standardized approach to reporting topical therapy in AD trials is needed to enhance transparency and interpretability.

The article presents evidence that historically the emergence of intellectual property rights dates back to the pre-industrial stage of society’s development. The issuing of letters patent in England led to further development of intangible assets worldwide. The study considers chronologically social and economic development concepts which have been researched in academic papers of prominent scholars, namely, A. Smith, F. List, Knight, F. Machlup, W. Rostow, J. Galbraith, D. Bell, P. Drucker, and then highlights the key aspects that have affected the evolution of intangible assets. Thus, on the basis of reviewing the concepts developed by outstanding scholars, it is pointed out that the growth of intangible assets has been driven by knowledge and that a post-industrial society is based on unprecedented technological breakthroughs. Special reference is made to information viewed as the key production resource of a post-industrial society, whereas knowledge is seen as its internal source of progress. In a post-industrial society, people are regarded as capital. The essential importance and role of intellectual capital in company operations are embodied in professional and managerial skills of personnel. As shown in the article, there are not only research development concepts, but also normative documents, such as the Bulletin entitled «Amortization of intangible assets», in which intangible assets are identified as accounting items. Furthermore, the international system of intellectual property protection has been enhanced by the introduction of Paris and Berne Conventions. The paper also describes how the concept of intangible assets, which appeared in Ukraine’s legislation in 1993, is seen in the national legal system, specifically as intellectual property objects including industrial property and other items of property and use. With the introduction of Ukrainian Accounting Standards (UAS) 8 into the national legislation, it was firstly emphasized that intangible assets are non-monetary assets that, on the one hand, are non-material and, on the other hand, can be identified. The article also stresses that today’s society is passing a new stage of post-industrial development, which is accompanied not only by a rapid growth of service industries, science and education, but also by a significant increase of specialized knowledge in various fields. Finally, the need for further research of intangible assets is identified, since intangibles have a great impact on enterprise value and the competitiveness of the national economy as a whole.

Streszczenie:
In order to design efficient foundations, it is necessary to know exact behaviour of them and surrounding soil under the load. At present various numerical methods [1–11] are used to determine such response. The behaviour of axi-symmetric bored foundation is described in this paper. The finite element method is utilized in analysis of the foundation. Linear and non-linear properties of material are taken into account. The investigation of properties of soil, predominating in Lithuania, and economical constructing of foundation gives preference to bored foundation [12]. Schematically this type of foundation can be depicted as a cylindrical body resting on soil (Fig 1). Geometrically the foundation can be described through the diameter d and the height h. F denotes the vector of the axisymmetric load. Such bored foundation has ratio h/d ≥ 2 and transmit part of the external load through their side surface to soil. It is very difficult to achieve a shear failure of soil mass for such a type of foundation, but the foundation may suffer significant deflections. It is, therefore, important to known the stress-strain state of soil for design purpose. Various stress-strain models have been proposed for representing the behaviour of soil [14]. These range from very simple linear-elastic to complex elastic-plastic models. In general, the stress vector σ is related to the strain vector ε through the elasticity matrix [C] (1) [1,2]. The linear-elastic stress-strain model is the simplest. In this case matrix [C] is constant and history independent (2) [4]. More complex is the non-linear-elastic model. Two incremental linear-elastic approaches can be used to handle this problem [4]. In the first case a tangent and in the other—secant modulus are used. The described models imply that volume changes are induced by changes in mean normal effective stress alone, while shear strains are induced by shear stress alone. Investigation shows that volumetric strains are induced by changes in shear stress as well as by changes in the mean normal stress [4, 11]. This can be accounted for the dilatant-elastic stress-strain model. The incremental shear-induced volume change Δεv can be expressed in terms of a tangent dilation parameter αϵ [10] according to (4), in which Δγ is the increment of maximum shear strain [4]. The dilatant-elastic materials lead to a three parameter stress-strain model in which the increments of volumetric and shear strain are related to the corresponding stress increments according to (5). The most complex is the elastic-plastic stress-strain model. A basic assumption of elastic models is that the unloading path is identical to the loading path. This is generally not true for soils where the recoverable strain upon unloading is generally small. The recoverable strain is considered to be elastic, while the non-recoverable strain is considered to be plastic. There have been proposed various yield conditions to model those plastic properties of soils. Von Mises yield condition can be written (6) in terms of the second invariant of stress deviator J 2 and yield stress Y(κ) from uniaxial tests [2]. For soils, concrete and other ‘frictional’ materials the Drucker and Prager law (7) is frequently used [2,13]. In this law hydrostatic press σm is incorporated, while c and Φ are the cohesion and angle of friction, respectively [8]. The problem is formulated and analysed by the finite element method. The region of a model is subdivided into discrete elements. The global system of equations to be solved is described by the equation (9), where [K(U)] denotes the global non-linear stiffness matrix, U is the unknown deflection vector and F is the vector of nodal forces [1,2]. The matrix [K(U)] and the vector F can be made up by adding up the element stiffness matrices [k e(u e)] and the element nodal deflection vectors f e, respectively. Therefore the problem can be mathematically described through the governing equation of the separate element (10), where u e denotes the unknown element nodal deflection. The stiffness matrix can be determined from the principle of virtual work. This involves equating the work done by the internal stresses with that done by the nodal forces. In a non-linear analysis the matrix [k e(u e)] depends on the vector u e and solution of a problem must be obtained throughout the complete history of incremental load application [1]. Time is a convenient variable tthat denotes different intensities of load applications. Equality of virtual work is expressed through displacement increments Δu e in the time step Δt. In this case the relation of a governing equation is (11) where tpe , denotes nodal point forces corresponding to the element stresses at time t. A solution of (11) may be subject to very significant errors, it is, therefore, necessary to iterate until the solution is obtained to sufficient accuracy. The incremental equations, used in the Newton-Raphson iteration, are (12) and (13), for i= 1, 2, 3,…with the initial conditions shown in (14). The foundation and soil are considered a non-homogeneous deformable solid [2,4,9]. Two separate problems were formulated. The first problem deals with linear-elastic material properties. The other accounts for elastic-plastic properties of soil. Von Mises and Drucker-Prager yield conditions are applied. The formulation is geometrically linear and axisymmetric. The sketch of the model is depicted in Fig 2. The material properties of soil and concrete are chosen such, that predominate in Lithuania [15]. The ANSYS [5–8] computer code is used for the calculation. Another problem is to choose geometric dimensions of a soil model because it is possible to analyse the finite size model by finite element method. The width of a model D=3.75 d is chosen from the investigations of other authors [2, 9]. Some analyses were carried out in order to determine the influence of the soil depth under the foundation H = 2—4.333 h on the deflection at the top of the foundation. In this case the linear-elastic model was applied. The results are depicted in Fig 3. The depth H =2.167 h was chosen for further analysis. The generated discrete model was estimated for the quality. The model was under the circular in plane with the radius r = 0.4 m uniform distributed surface loading p = 1.989 MPa [16]. The calculated stress and strain distribution in soil under the centre of loading are compared, as shown in Fig 4 and 5, respectively. In case of non-linear analysis the load is applied in two stages. In the first stage the model is loaded by weight. The full external load p = 1.989 MPa is incrementally applied in the second stage. The history of load application is described through the time variable t. The history of the deflection at the top of the foundation is depicted in Fig 6. It seems that the deflection of linear model under the full 1 MN load and that of model, implemented with Drucker-Prager yield condition, differs by 11%. The distribution of accumulated equivalent plastic strain in the cross-section (Fig 7) of the model, utilizing the Drucker-Prager yield condition, shows that the biggest plastic deformation developed in the immediate contact with the foundation. The history of the principal stresses of the node under the foundation and Drucker-Prager and von Mises yield surfaces in principal stress space are depicted in Fig 8. Our analysis of axisymmetric bored foundation allows to know stress-strain state near the foundation. We can see that the external force of great magnitude cause significant plastic deformation, which, in turn, leads to significant deflection of the foundations.

Abstract A 61-year-old Asian woman presented with acute onset of a widespread rash and 3–4-cm infiltrated erythematous plaques in the arms, legs and torso, with a few showing an annular configuration soon after he had taken naproxen for rheumatoid arthritis. After 48 h the plaques had developed into purpura and petechiae. Past medical history also included diabetes mellitus type 2, hypertension, left knee replacement, cauda equina syndrome and asthma. Her medications comprised losartan, atorvastatin, metformin, amlodipine and naproxen. The differential diagnosis included sarcoidosis, Wells syndrome, panniculitis and vasculitis. Histopathology of the 4-mm punch biopsy from the right flank showed mild spongiosis, focal lymphocyte exocytosis, focal basal vacuolar degeneration, superficial dermal oedema, mild superficial and deep dermal perivascular and perisudoral lymphocytic infiltrate with neutrophilic microabscesses, and leucocytoclasia associated with small histiocytic aggregates. Focal involvement of the subcutis was also present. No obvious collagen necrobiosis with histiocyte palisading, flame figures or increased eosinophils were seen. No medium vessel vasculitis was identified. Periodic acid–Schiff stain was negative for fungi, and Ziehl–Neelsen stain did not reveal acid-fast bacilli. Both vasculitis and viral screens were normal apart from elevated D-dimers, serum ferritin and positive Epstein–Barr virus DNA. Our working diagnosis was a neutrophilic and histiocytic dermatosis with leucocytoclastic vasculitis. Given the history of rheumatoid arthritis, a palisading neutrophilic granulomatous dermatitis was also considered, as the findings may vary according to the age of the lesion. However, the findings were best fitted to a vasculitic granulomatous drug reaction as there were focal vacuolar interface changes and obvious lymphocyte epidermotropism involving the entire epidermal thickness. There was no resemblance to other conditions like rheumatoid nodule, interstitial granuloma annulare or infective necrotizing granulomas. In their recent review, Shah et al. identified five patterns of drug-induced granulomatous dermatosis (Shah N, Shah M, Drucker AM et al. Granulomatous cutaneous drug eruptions: a systematic review. Am J Clin Dermatol 2021; 22: 39–53). They included (i) interstitial granulomatous drug reaction, (ii) drug-induced accelerated rheumatoid nodulosis, (iii) drug-induced granuloma annulare, (iv) drug-induced sarcoidosis and (v) miscellaneous presentations. The authors also concluded that polypharmacy and a prolonged lag period from drug intake to lesion onset would result in diagnostic challenges, as in our case. On suspension of naproxen, the rash had subsided and it resolved 2 weeks later. We have presented the case of a 60-year-old patient with an unusual granulomatous neutrophilic dermatitis associated with leucocytoclastic vasculitis that did not fit with the usual patterns described in association with rheumatoid arthritis. The final diagnosis was a vasculitic granulomatous drug reaction, secondary to naproxen, as suggested by the presence of epidermal changes and absence of significant systemic symptoms. Knowledge of this entity is helpful to distinguish these lesions from palisading neutrophilic granulomatous dermatitis and from other similar dermatosis. The lesions should resolve with discontinuation of the causative drug.

One of the main tasks of financial and economic policy of industrial enterprises is to create conditions for their sustainable development through the use of modern management tools that will promote the balance between resources and potential of enterprises. In particular, such a tool is management methods based on forms of interaction between the state and business in the framework of public-private partnership. The problem of managing sustainable development of industrial enterprises on the basis of public-private partnership, their financial support is covered in the works of such researchers and specialists as I. Ansoff, K. Bowman, P. Drucker, D. Cleland, G. Mintzberg, J. Strickland, A. Thompson, F. Berger, V. Varnavsky, M. Gerard, T. Crystal, A. Reid, T. Voronkova, E. Savas, L. Sharinger and other domestic and foreign authors. Recently, disparities in the gradual dynamics of the formation of financial resources within the state are obvious: revenue sources are centralized only at the state budget level, revenue liabilities are decentralized to the regional and local levels. The greatest impact on the financial autonomy of an industrial enterprise has the amount of own budget revenues, in particular its share in total consolidated revenues. Inter-budgetary transfers from the budget are one of the sources of income of industrial enterprises and to some extent determine the solvency of industrial enterprises. The main purpose of the system of intergovernmental relations, as well as the entire system of public finance, is to provide conditions for improving the quality of life. PPP is seen not only as a tool for financing and implementing individual projects, but as a form of interaction between the state and the private sector, which is built into the management system based on co-financing, risk and revenue sharing, pooling of professional knowledge that serves to achieve certain positive social , economic and political results and is a key element of the industrial enterprise’s strategy to ensure sustainable industrial and resource-sustainable development. The main purpose of public-private partnership in an industrial enterprise within the framework of sustainable development is to achieve public socio-economic interests through the implementation of infrastructure projects of an industrial enterprise. The basis of PPP’s institutional infrastructure in Ukraine can be industrial infrastructure, which operates not on the basis of state administrative structures, but independently. Problems such as improving the legal framework of the partnership, creating a single coordinating and regulatory body, expanding the base of PPP participants (more active involvement of small and medium-sized businesses), and developing a strategy for the development of this structure need to be addressed. The tools of inter-budgetary regulation are considered - inter-budgetary transfers that determine the solvency of an industrial enterprise. The internal risks of industrial enterprises are substantiated. The advantages and disadvantages of current methods of industrial management are noted. The forms of PPP used in Ukraine and abroad are described, the most effective of them are indicated. Deterrent factors of PPP development are determined. The model of PPP at the level of the industrial enterprise is offered. The principles of optimal functioning and development of PPP are determined.

Abstract Abstract 506 Background: In a majority of chronic myeloid leukemia patients treatment with imatinib (IM) induces durable hematologic, cytogenetic, and molecular responses, which in turn results in a dramatic improvement of progression-free survival. A new challenge for further optimizing the management of CML is to determine if treatment with TKIs such as IM could eventually cure the patients, particularly those with sustained undetectable disease, by reducing or eliminating the leukemic self-renewing cell (LSC) population thought to drive the disease. Given the challenges in directly assessing LSC burden in patients, we have applied mathematical modeling to molecular response data from patients on IM therapy to infer whether LSC levels can be reduced during IM treatment. Methods: To conduct our study we have utilized 281 patients on the IM arm of the International Randomized Study of Interferon Versus STI571 (IRIS) trial (Drucker et al., NEJM, 2006; 355, 2408). The 281 patients maintained a 90% dose intensity over the course of treatment (up to 7 years) and had a sufficient number of PCR samples above the quantitation limit to support parameter estimation. We have modeled the Bcr-Abl/Bcr transcript ratio time course R(t) as a biexponential (R(t) = Aeαt + Beβt ) and estimated the model parameters for each patient using maximum likelihood methods. The parameter α < 0 describes the rapid initial decline in log10(R) upon treatment start while β describes the shallower slope of the subsequent log10(R) kinetics (figure 1a). Results: nearly every patient response trajectory (93%-263/281) was well-described by the bi-exponential model. The key parameter β, corresponding to the steady-state per-year reduction in log10 transcript levels, ranged from a minimum = -9.2, lower quartile = -1.1, median = -0.6, upper quartile = -0.2, maximum = 10.5 (see figure 1b). Approximately 21% (54/263) of patients had β>0, suggestive of molecular relapse, while 79% (209/263) have β<0, corresponding to continued transcript decline. Discussion: The durable reduction in Bcr-Abl transcripts in the majority of patients has two possible interpretations: either LSCs are depleted at a rate β, or LSCs are not depleted but leukemic progenitor cells in the bone marrow have a median half-life of over one year in many patients. However, leukemic progenitor dynamics appear to occur at a time scale of months (Abe et al, Int J Hematol. 2008; 88, 471); thus a durable reduction in transcript level must correspond to a depletion of LSCs. Our hypothesis that IM induces LSC depletion is also consistent with the observation that 50% of patients maintain undetectable Bcr-Abl transcript levels upon treatment discontinuation (Guastafierro et al, Leukemia Res. 2009; 33, 1079). Conclusions: Mathematical modeling which combines pathophysiologic principles of CML with 7-year molecular response data in individual patients predicts that most patients (∼79%) experience reduction in LSC burden while on sustained IM treatment. In the future, this modeling approach can be used to analyze data from patients who stop IM after achieving CMR in the context of carefully conducted clinical trials, with the goal of assessing (a) the potential impact of IM interruption on LSC levels, particularly in those patients who relapse upon stopping IM and then are re-induced, and (b) whether the probability of achieving cure depends on duration of CMR, the steepness of response prior to achieving CMR (β), and/or additional factors. Problem setting. The current state of the world economy is characterized by large-scale transformations, which are manifested in the development of key technologies of Industry 4.0, smart specialization, increasing international competition, accelerating all processes that become global and more open. For developing countries, including Ukraine, innovation is particularly important as it underpins industrialization, which plays a key role in diversifying the economy and overcoming its structural weakness. Industry is the engine of innovation, productivity growth and exports. Аnalysis of recent researches and publications. Numerous works by well-known foreign economists have devoted to the issues of innovative development of economic systems, research of innovations as a factor of sustainable growth and increase of competitiveness of the country in the conditions of globalization, digital transformation of economy: P. Drucker, M. Castells, F. Nixon, P. Fischer, J. Schumpeter, K. Schwab, L. Abalkin, A. Aganbegyan, A. Warsaw, L. Gokhberg, R. Greenberg, M. Delyagin, V. Inozemtsev, N. Ivanova, B. Kuzyk, D. Lviv. Also these issues were researched by Ukrainian specialists: G. Androschuk, L. Antonyuk, Y. Atamanova, Y. Bazhal, V. Bazylevych, O. Butnik - Siversky, V. Geets, V. Gusev, O. Zhilinska, I. Egorov, O. Kuzmin, L. Ligonenko B Malitsky, I. Makarenko, V. Muntiyan, V. Parkhomenko, S. Prilipko, V. Solovyov, V. Sidenko, O. Simson, N. Chukhrai, L. Fedulova, A. Yakovlev and others. At the same time, the multifaceted and complex nature of this issue, the dynamics of change in the world, especially during the pandemic COVID-19, require further research. The purpose of this research is to research the dynamics of innovation activity on an international scale based on the consolidated indicators of the Global Innovation Index for 2020, to determine the place of Ukraine in it. Article’s main body. Based on the consolidated indicators of the Global Innovation Index for 2020, the dynamics of innovation activity on an international scale is considered, a comparative analysis is conducted, the relative advantages and weaknesses of national innovation systems are identified, and Ukraine’s place is determined. In GII, Ukraine ranks 45th out of 131 countries, showing an overall increase in the ranking of the innovation index and in the sub-indices: + 20 positions in education and +10 in R&D. Ukraine also retained 2nd place among countries with below-average income. It is noted that the coronavirus pandemic has had a negative impact on innovation and caused a significant decline in national and global economies. At the same time, by affecting some industries, COVID-19 stimulates the development and funding of innovation in others, especially in the areas of computer technology, digitalization, and healthcare. The study confirmed the stability of innovative development of countries that have traditionally been leaders in this index in previous years. The crisis caused by COVID-19 can be a catalyst for innovation in many traditional industries, such as tourism, education and retail. It can also stimulate innovation in the organization of work processes at the level of enterprises and individual employees, as well as in the (re) organization of production locally and globally. Today, it is extremely important to unleash this potential, which requires government support, as well as models of interaction and further private sector investment in innovation. Conclusions and prospects for the development. In conclusion, it should be noted that GII continues to support and stimulate innovation in an era of change. The purpose of the next 13th analytical report is to provide meaningful data on innovations and thus help the representatives of policy-making bodies in assessing the effectiveness of innovation activities of their countries, making informed decisions on further state innovation policy. At this stage, with increasing one-sidedness and nationalism, it is important to remember that most countries that have improved their positions in GII over time have benefited significantly from integration into global value chains and innovation networks. China, Vietnam, India and the Philippines are good examples.

Аnnotation. Consistent and persistent efforts of Ukraine to become a member of the European Union require a systematic approach to further improvement of management activities in the field of public administration. Forced or accidental mistakes of public sphere managers occur as a result of low management qualifications, they do not provide an opportunity to bring the efficiency of public organizations to a fundamentally new level. Among the functions of management, motivation and punishment of subordinates are the most problematic, due to low attention to these aspects in domestic and foreign scientific literature. Recent research and publications analysis. Problems of improving managerial activity are studied in the works of such leading scientists and practitioners as I. Adizes, A. Fayol, H. Ford, V. Tarasov, O. Friedman, B. Tracy, P. Drucker, R. Blake, J. Mouton. However, many questions regarding the effective influence of a manager on subordinates remain open to this day. The paper objective is the analysis of complex negotiations with a subordinate during the punishment procedure, identification of subordinates’ typical techniques to avoid punishment, offering optimal options for the manager's response. The paper main body. The mechanism of conducting complex negotiations between a manager and a subordinate during the punishment procedure is analyzed. The typical methods of subordinates to avoid punishment are determined, and the optimal options for the manager’s response during this procedure are distinguished. It is emphasized that punishment is an integral part of the manager’s professional competence. It was found that moral punishment should be considered the most effective, because it acts as a prevention of administrative punishment application, while simultaneously forming a model of subordinate behavior in accordance with corporate norms. Moral punishment is carried out through the subordinate’s recognition of the fallacy of his actions through internal rethinking and correction of his/her ”picture of the world”. It is accentuated that manager should be punished for the violation, not its consequences. It is proved that management should include the approaches of theory X and theory Y according to the views of David McGregor. It is revealed that the punishment of a subordinate should not be accompanied by rudeness, disrespect, humiliation, insult, accusation, revenge, etc. The sequence of stages in complex negotiations with a subordinate is substantiated, the purpose and content of each stage is determined. Negotiations with subordinates during punishment should simultaneously solve several tasks: satisfy the interests of the case, improve relations with team, strengthen authority of the manager. A significant difference between the concepts of “mistake” and “misdemeanor” in the employee’s activity was determined. The manager’s readiness to punish subordinates can be considered as part of demandingness: the ability to demand from the subordinate a model of behavior that the manager considers correct in relation to existing corporate norms. Conclusions. The theoretical approaches discussed in the article require practical implementation and consolidation as skills. For this, it is recommended: First, it is advisable for the manager to take a critical look at the level of his management competencies development: planning, delegation and control. It are these functions that have the greatest impact on the accuracy of tasks performed by subordinates. Secondly, when implementing the method of punishment described above, it is necessary to prepare in advance for difficult negotiations with a subordinate. Perhaps this work will seem boring to a practicing manager, but the methodology should be written down in a synopsis and learned by heart. At first, it is better not to improvise, but to clearly act according to the algorithm. Thirdly, no matter how rude it may seem, but in order to consolidate the skill of punishing subordinates, the manager needs practice. It is necessary to start training on subordinates who do not feel sorry. This category includes those who constantly violate discipline and corporate regulations, employees with a low level of performance, insufficient responsibility, or those who should have been fired yesterday.
