The paper introduces the digital watermarking technology which is a data hiding technique that embeds a message into a multimedia work such as an image or text or other digital object. The proposed technique has several important applications; the majorly important is the digital copyrights protection. The digital watermarking system as any other data hiding technique has its own requirements that make the digital watermark strong as possible. Technologies of digital watermarking are mainly classified depending on their domain to spatial domain watermarks, Watermarks belonging to frequency (transform) domain and wavelet domain watermarks. The digital watermarks suffer from different types of attacks that include either state-of-the-art watermarking attacks or watermark estimation attacks. The recovery from these attacks requires strong detection techniques; the digital watermark agent provides a professional solution for these attacks.

Streszczenie:
This article analyses the phenomenon of digital computer graphics, based on mathematical calculations, and possibilities of using it in different modern art techniques. Digital fractal patterns are irregular, self-similar structures, which are based on natural objects' group of similar characteristics, such as: corals, starfishes, sea urchins, snowflakes, crowns of the trees. The principle of such image shaping is natural, so its worthwhile to trace down it's digital mathematic simulation. Contrary to digital graphic and painting, fractal graphic does not base on classic art traditions. The closest to the fractal graphics are objectless ornamental traditions, inheriting principles of infinite spatial creation of similar groups. The article includes the comparison of general ornamental rules and features of fractal images. Due to the fact that modern computer software allows to create the digital fractal graphics without special mathematical skills, an artist can combine traditional and digital painting and abstract fractal graphic to reach that level of balance and fortuity of an image, that abstract artist has tried to get, using traditional techniques. The fractal graphic is examined as a digital counterpart of traditional painting technique of monotyping in complex art work. Author underlines the likeness of many digital and material ways of creating images. Finally, the visual language of a piece of art still remains more important, than technological details of its production.

AbstractThe earliest extant depictions of the human face are not simply realistic but represented through specific technologies (means) and techniques (styles). In these representations, the face was probably idealized in order to empower its agency through simulacra. The history of art sees humans become increasingly aware of the impact of technology and technique on the production of visual representations of the face. With photography, and even more so with its digital version, technology is developed, hidden, and miniaturized so as to democratize and market technique. The result, however, a naturalization of technology, is increasingly problematic in the era of algorithms: artificial intelligence absorbs the social bias of its engineers. This is particularly evident in the domain of “digital cosmetics”: successful apps are used to process and share billions of facial images, yet few critically reflect on the aesthetic ideology underpinning them. This is an urgent task for visual, social, and cultural semiotics.

Observational skills provide the foundation for both drawing and archaeological techniques. Drawing was frequently employed within archaeology as a recording technique or to produce technical illustrations for published academic papers. However, in recent years the widespread use and adoption of digital photography and 3D imagery has resulted in a decline of its use and such skills are now only briefly considered in archaeological teaching as practical and worthwhile endeavors. This paper considers the role drawing can have within archaeology and suggests that drawing is a useful tool to aid in critical observation. With the integration of specialist interviews, an art workshop experiment was created. This workshop experiment was created to explore drawing as a learning technique in which to aid in developing the observational skills of undergraduate archaeology students. The results of this study suggest that drawing is a useful mode of observation, one that enables researchers to gain a deeper understanding of what they observe, that it can be used to see.

Aiming at the problems of poor transmission effect and serious data loss in digital engraving, this paper puts forward a digital modeling model from the perspective of spatial expression. First, in-depth analysis of the original digital art design can not solve the problem of digital carving accuracy, and analysis of the reasons for the poor calculation accuracy of digital carving. Using wireless network technology and WIFI technology to obtain digital information of digital engraving, through the Internet design scheme statistics, according to the digital features to judge the form and result of engraving, remove irrelevant spatial information. Then, according to the Internet data monitoring, the change rate and engraving method of the engraving data are calculated, and compared with the actual engraving requirements, the parameters and indicators of digital art design are adjusted. MATLAB simulation test analysis shows that in the case of wireless communication and Internet monitoring, the digital engraving model of spatial expression technique can improve the accuracy of artistic design, and the accuracy rate is greater than the actual design requirements. According to the design requirements of different wireless networks and network communications, the time and compliance rate of digital engraving can meet the needs of artistic design.

The author has created an application program that includes marbling tools. Such a program must run in real time, so that hand-eye coordination is required of the user. Real-time simulation of fluid flows requires much processor power. The author has attempted to adapt this technique for use with a personal computer. To decrease the processing power required, the image size may be decreased, but the results may not be as satisfactory

For decades, the documentation of rock art has been the backbone of the research on this cultural practice. However, traditional techniques used for this purpose have proved to be imprecise and subjective. With the advent of the digital age there has been a revolution in the field of rock art documentation in general and in particular for petroglyphs. Techniques such as digital nightlight photography or three-dimensional (3D) photogrammetry have opened a world of possibilities. In the case of nightlight photography, its use goes back to the second half of the 20th century. However, in recent years the emergence of high-power digital cameras along with new lighting systems unthinkable decades ago, such as tactical flashlights, have rejuvenated a technique that seems incombustible. After the numerous tests carried out by the DIPAR (Integral Rock Art Documentation System) project team, it has become evident that, correctly employed, this technique still has immense potential in the field of rock art documentation, especially if we take into consideration its low cost and ease of use. Photogrammetry, on the other hand, is shown as the perfect complement to the records obtained through digital nightlight photography. The possibility of applying filters or shaders that increase the visibility of the digitized petroglyphs, within a metric scheme, is a great advance in their documentation. This paper explores the advantages associated with these techniques with a case study: unpublished petroglyphs of Alcázar de San Juan (Spain).

Streszczenie:
Digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) is an innovative imaging modality that provides 3D reconstructed images of breast to detect the breast cancer. Projections obtained with an X-ray source moving in a limited angle interval are used to reconstruct 3D image of breast. Several reconstruction algorithms are available for DBT imaging. Filtered back projection algorithm has traditionally been used to reconstruct images from projections. Iterative reconstruction algorithms such as algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) were later developed. Recently, compressed sensing based methods have been proposed in tomosynthesis imaging problem. We have developed an object-oriented simulator for 3D digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) imaging system using C++ programming language. The simulator is capable of implementing different iterative and compressed sensing based reconstruction methods on 3D digital tomosynthesis data sets and phantom models. A user friendly graphical user interface (GUI) helps users to select and run the desired methods on the designed phantom models or real data sets. The simulator has been tested on a phantom study that simulates breast tomosynthesis imaging problem. Results obtained with various methods including algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) and total variation regularized reconstruction techniques (ART+TV) are presented. Reconstruction results of the methods are compared both visually and quantitatively by evaluating performances of the methods using mean structural similarity (MSSIM) values.

With the development of computer architecture and its technologies in recent years, applications like e-commerce, e-government, e-governance and e-finance are widely used, and they act as active research areas. In addition, in order to increase the quality and quantity of the ordinary everyday transactions, it is desired to migrate from the paper-based environment to a digital-based computerized environment. Such migration increases efficiency, saves time, eliminates paperwork, increases safety and reduces the cost in an organization. Digital signatures are playing an essential role in many electronic and automatic based systems and facilitate this migration. The digital signatures are used to provide many services and solutions that would not have been possible by the conventional hand-written signature. In the educational environment, the process of issuing the graduation certificates can no longer be restricted to the traditional methods. Hence, a computerized system for issuing certificates of graduation in an electronic form is needed and desired. This paper proposes a Graduation Certificates Issuing System (GCIS) based on digital signature technology. In doing so, this research highlights the state-of-the-art and the art-of-the-practice for some existing digital signature-based systems in the literatures. In addition, eight intertwined elected services are identified, namely: message authentication, entity authentication, integrity, non-repudiation, time stamping, distinguished signing authorities, delegating signing capability and supporting workflow systems. Moreover, this research examines nine existing systems, showing their merits and demerits in terms of these elected services. Furthermore, the research describes the architectural design using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and provides the concrete implementation of the proposed GCIS. The GCIS is implemented using Visual Basic.Net programming language and SQL Server database management system.

Streszczenie:
Given the increasing interest of students of all ages towards digital texts, but also the prevalence of the visual over other forms of language, the use of images in the teaching of any type of content should be a priority of the didactic act – or at least a common didactic practice. Most frequently, however, teaching staff limit this priority to the use in well-defined contexts of certain visual teaching tools, be they digital/ technological or in the form of graphic and figurative materials. Without questioning their effectiveness, we promote their combination with last generation didactic techniques, which could profit from the children' s interest in the visual or hybrid spectacular (Ilie 2020: 159), in ways that stimulate, and even prioritize, the development of their aesthetic and cultural sensibility. In this article, we propose to describe one of these techniques, the art-language technique, and then to exemplify various modalities of using it, especially in the primary education. By assuming the reasoned association of a theme or a message of a literary/non-literary text with an artwork chosen from a series made available by the teachers (Ilie, 2020: 160), the art-language technique can be used in a variety of curricular, but also extra-curricular contexts, that could facilitate children's access to a wide range of contents from the school curricula specific to primary education. The applications presented in this work will take into account the areas of Language and Communication, Man and Society, Arts and Technologies, as well as Personal Development. Of course, the formative valences adjacent to the use of this technique derive from the inter- and pluri-disciplinary character it implies, giving students the opportunity to creatively express emotions and thoughts in a variety of situations. With the help of the teaching staff, the visual art works could be transformed, on one hand, into anchors that can facilitate the adequate assimilation of aesthetic and cultural contents; on the other hand, they could become excellent vehicles of supplementary meanings, resulted from the subjective experience of the student, placed in the posture of a sensible, but also critical observer, who sees beyond color and form.

In digital media art, expressive force is an important art form of media. This paper studies digital images that have the same effect when applied to media art. The research object is media art images, and the application effect of the proposed algorithm is related to the media art images. The development of digital image technology has brought revolutionary changes to traditional media art expression techniques. In this paper, a partial-pixel interpolation technique based on convolutional neural network is proposed. Supervised training of convolutional neural networks requires predetermining the input and target output of the network, namely, integer image and fractional image in this paper. To solve the problem that the subpixel sample cannot be obtained, this paper first analyzes the imaging principle of digital image and proposes a subpixel sample generation algorithm based on Gaussian low-pass filter and polyphase sampling. From the perspective of rate distortion optimization, the purpose of pixel motion compensation is to improve the accuracy of interframe prediction. Therefore, this paper defines pixel motion compensation as an interframe regression problem, that is, the mapping process of the reference image integral pixel sample to the current image sample to be encoded. In this paper, a generalized partial-pixel interpolation model is proposed for bidirectional prediction. The partial-pixel interpolation of bidirectional prediction is regarded as a binary regression model; that is, the integral pixel reference block in two directions is mapped to the current block to be coded. It further studies how to apply the trained digital images to media art design more flexibly and efficiently.

Introduction: The aim of the study was to compare different impression techniques used for fixed prosthodontics. Methodology: A master cast with prepared abutments was created from polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA). A high-resolution industrial scanner was used to create a virtual reference model. Four different impressions were made, three with polyvinyl-siloxane (PVS) (n = 10 for each): one-step putty-wash (1SPW), two-step putty-wash prepared with an escape channel (2SPW-Ch), two-step putty-wash with a polyethylene spacer foil (2SPW-Fo), and one with polyether monophasic technique (MP) from the PMMA model and digitized with an industrial scanner. The stereolithographic (STL) files of the impressions (n = 40) were exported. Each file was compared to the reference using the Geomagic Verify software. Six points were assigned to enable virtual calliper measurement of tooth diameters and distances of varying sizes within the arch. Results: In the case of die diameters, the deviation from the mould ranged from 31.84 to 180.64 μm. At the stump diameter level, the MP and 1SPW techniques showed significantly more minor differences than the 2SPW-Ch, and the MP was significantly more accurate than the 2SPW-Fo. At medium distance, the deviation ranged from 42.74 to 136.47 μm. Therefore, MP was found to be significantly more accurate than 2SPW-Ch. When examining the long distance, the difference was between 162.62 and 348.85 μm. The MP and 1SPW impression techniques proved significantly more accurate than the 2SPW-Ch technique for long distances. Conclusions: With both simultaneous techniques, significantly more true results were achieved than with the two-step techniques. Introduction The aim of the study was to compare different impression techniques used for fixed prosthodontics. Methodology A master cast with prepared abutments was created from polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA). Results In the case of die diameters, the deviation from the mould ranged from 31.84 to 180.64 µm. At the stump diameter level, the MP and 1SPW techniques showed significantly more minor differences than the 2SPW-Ch, and the MP was significantly more accurate than the 2SPW-Fo. At medium distance, the deviation ranged from 42.74 to 136.47 µm. Therefore, MP was found to be significantly more accurate than 2SPW-Ch. When examining the long distance, the difference was between 162.62 and 348.85 µm. The MP and 1SPW impression techniques proved significantly more accurate than the 2SPW-Ch technique for long distances. Conclusions With both simultaneous techniques, significantly more true results were achieved than with the two-step techniques.

With the development of computer software technology, computer image processing software has become increasingly significant in the public art design process. It can help with graphic design inventiveness and color presentation, as well as improve the aesthetics of public art design. This study aims to analyze the use of digital image synthesis and visual sensing techniques in public art design, as well as to use Dongba paintings, which reflects Chinese culture, as image fusion research objects. The Dongba painting’s line drawing is modeled and drawn, and an element library is created. The characteristic information of Dongba paintings is extracted using line integration convolution (LIC) algorithm. The background texture elements of the image are fused using image quilting texture’s improved synthesis algorithm. To improve the image effect of the linked Dongba paintings, a local color transfer algorithm based on color transfer rights is presented. The results show that the optimized synthesis algorithm of image quilting textures can achieve the same texture synthesis effect as the original algorithm. The method can meet the needs of real-world applications while also significantly improving the original technique’s performance. The synthesis time is reduced by 87.67%, and the image recognition accuracy of the local color transfer algorithm reaches 88.9%. Compared with other algorithms, the recognition accuracy is improved by 6.4%. The proposed digital image synthesis technique can create good images with different foreground and backdrop combinations and can provide a diverse visual expression. This contributes to public art’s visual production.

Over the past two decades, digital microfluidic biochips have been in much demand for safety-critical and biomedical applications and increasingly important in point-of-care analysis, drug discovery, and immunoassays, among other areas. However, for complex bioassays, finding routes for the transportation of droplets in an electrowetting-on-dielectric digital biochip while maintaining their discreteness is a challenging task. In this study, we propose a deep reinforcement learning-based droplet routing technique for digital microfluidic biochips. The technique is implemented on a distributed architecture to optimize the possible paths for predefined source–target pairs of droplets. The actors of the technique calculate the possible routes of the source–target pairs and store the experience in a replay buffer, and the learner fetches the experiences and updates the routing paths. The proposed algorithm was applied to benchmark suites I and III as two different test benches, and it achieved significant improvements over state-of-the-art techniques.

The relevance of the article is associated with the rapid development of various forms of digital art, due to the increasing role of information technologies, which have caused fundamental transformation processes in the modern cultural environment. The article is devoted to the origin and value-semantic foundations of such a direction of modern digital art as glitch art. The origins of this direction, which lies in the aesthetics of Futurism, experiments in concrete music, as well as in the technique of deconstruction and recombination of parts of the original image in Cubism, are considered. Examples of glitch art are given — "Tali Hinkus" by Paul Hertz, "Glitch Diva" by Elena Romenkova, "White" (from the "Utopia" series) by Viktor Makurin, parallels with cinema works ("The Matrix" directed by Wachowski) are drawn. An important property of digital art is its ability to fill the global information space with new meanings and values: it is both a protest against total technocracy and digitalization, and a fixed gap in collective techno-hypnosis, and a display of the processes of the human subconscious. The study of this phenomenon allows to take a critical look at the interaction of the physical and digital world within modern culture, to identify the prospects for this interaction.

Abstract This article proposes bit flipping method to conceal secret data in the original image. Here a block consists of 2 pixels and thereby flipping one or two LSBs of the pixels to hide secret information in it. It exists in two variants. Variant-1 and Variant-2 both use 7th and 8th bit of a pixel to conceal the secret data. Variant-1 hides 3 bits per a pair of pixels and the Variant-2 hides 4 bits per a pair of pixels. Our proposed method notably raises the capacity as well as bits per pixel that can be hidden in the image compared to existing bit flipping method. The image steganographic parameters such as, Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), hiding capacity, and the Quality Index (Q.I) of the proposed techniques has been compared with the results of the existing bit flipping technique and some of the state of art article.

Digital Watermarking is the art and science of embedding information in existing digital content for Digital Rights Management (DRM) and authentication. Reversible watermarking is a class of (fragile) digital watermarking that not only authenticates multimedia data content, but also helps to maintain perfect integrity of the original multimedia “cover data”. Watermarking of digital images is a well-known technique that is widely used for securing image contents. A successful watermarking method must be accurate, reversible, resilient, and robust against various attacks. The technical revolution associated with the implementation the development of digital technologies in medicine, has led to the emergence and active development of new directions in many areas of medicine. The authenticity and integrity of medical images has to be protected. Hence in this paper a reversible digital image watermarking technique for integrity and authenticity of MR (Magnetic Resonance) images is presented. Reversible watermarking is recognized as a robust approach to confirm the integrity and authenticity of medical images and to verify that alterations can be detected and tracked back.

Further, recent state-of-the-art watermarking techniques as reported by noted authors are discussed in brief. It includes the performance comparison of reported transform/spatial domain based watermarking techniques presented in tabular form. This comprehensive survey will be significant for researchers who will be able to implement more efficient watermarking techniques. Moreover, we present a robust watermarking technique using fusion of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and Karhunen-Loeve transform for digital images. Further, visual quality of the watermarked image is enhanced by using different image de-noising techniques. The results are obtained by varying the gain factor, size of the image watermark, different DWT sub-bands, and image processing attacks. This paper presents an implementation of Least Significant Bit (LSB) steganography to embed a hidden watermark in batik digital images. The goal of the technique is to provide a means of protecting the intellectual property of creators of batik digital arts while still allowing the images to be freely distributed and shared. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of the technique by showing that the embedded watermark is not visible to the human eye and does not significantly alter the quality of the image. The proposed technique uses the LSB method to embed a watermark in the binary data of the batik digital image. This method involves replacing the least significant bit of the image's pixel values with the bits of the watermark, thus altering the binary data of the image without causing noticeable changes in its visual appearance. The embedded watermark can only be detected by a decoding process, making it difficult to be removed or tampered with. The results of the study show that the implemented LSB steganography technique is successful in achieving its objective. The technique is able to effectively embed a hidden watermark in batik digital images without significantly altering the image quality or causing visual artifacts. This work highlights the potential of LSB steganography as a valuable tool for protecting the intellectual property of digital art creators, particularly in the field of batik images. Overall, this study contributes to the growing body of research on steganography and digital media protection. The successful implementation of the LSB steganography technique provides a promising approach for safeguarding the intellectual property of creators in the digital arts industry. Future research may explore other steganography techniques to address potential vulnerabilities and limitations of the LSB method.

The study consisted of extensive data capture of the rock art gallery using two different TLS systems and a digital SLR camera. The data was combined into a common 2D reference frame that allowed for standard image processing to be applied. An unsupervised k-means classifier was applied to the multiband images to detect the different types of rock art present. The result was unsatisfactory as the subsequent classification accuracy was relatively low. Streszczenie:
Abstract The advancement in computer science technology has led to some serious concerns about the piracy and copyright of digital content. Digital watermarking technique is widely used for copyright protection and other similar applications. In this paper, a technique for digital watermarking based on Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), and Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm (GOA) is proposed. The method computes the DWT of the cover image to obtain the sub-components of the image. The subcomponent is converted to frequency domain using DCT. The challenge is to find the optimal scaling factor to be used for watermarking. The authors have designed a GOA based technique that finds the optimized scaling factor and the coefficient for embedding the watermark. GOA makes the watermark undetectable and is invisible in the cover image. The watermark image is embedded in the cover image using these coefficients. The extraction of watermark from the cover image is done by using inverse DCT and DWT. The proposed method is compared with the other state of the art methods. The effectiveness of the proposed method is computed using Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Normalized Cross Correlation (NCC) and Image Fidelity (IF). The proposed method outperforms the other methods and can be effectively used for practical digital watermarking.

Streszczenie:
Slow motion replay and spatial zooming are special effects used in digital video rendering. At present, most techniques to perform digital spatial zoom and slow motion are based on interpolation for both enlarging the size of the original pictures and generating additional intermediate frames. Mainly, interpolation is done either by linear or cubic spline functions or by motion estimation/compensation which both can be applied pixel by pixel, or by partitioning frames into blocks. Purpose of this paper is to present an alternative technique combining fractals theory and wavelet decomposition to achieve spatial zoom and slow motion replay of HD digital color video sequences. Fast scene change detection, active scene detection, wavelet subband analysis, and color fractal coding based on Earth Mover's Distance (EMD) measure are used to reduce computational load and to improve visual quality. Experiments show that the proposed scheme achieves better results in terms of overall visual quality compared to the state-of-the-art techniques.

Streszczenie:
Steganography is a technique in which a person hides information in digital media. The message sent by this technique is so secret that other people cannot even imagine the information’s existence. This article entails developing a mechanism for communicating one-on-one with individuals by concealing information from the rest of the group. Based on their availability, digital images are the most suited components for use as transmitters when compared to other objects available on the internet. The proposed technique encrypts a message within an image. There are several steganographic techniques for hiding hidden information in photographs, some of which are more difficult than others, and each has its strengths and weaknesses. The encryption mechanism employed may have different requirements depending on the application. For example, certain applications may require complete invisibility of the key information, while others may require the concealment of a larger secret message. In this research, we proposed a technique that converts plain text to ciphertext and encodes it in a picture using up to the four least significant bit (LSB) based on a hash function. The LSBs of the image pixel values are used to substitute pieces of text. Human eyes cannot predict the variation between the initial Image and the resulting image since only the LSBs are modified. The proposed technique is compared with state-of-the-art techniques. The results reveal that the proposed technique outperforms the existing techniques concerning security and efficiency with adequate MSE and PSNR.
