Pełny tekst źródłaThe purpose of this study is to investigate and understand the story structure and how acommercial film written by AI is created, and how the recipient experience the difference in acommercial film written by AI in the way it captures the interest. By examining thecommercials in depth, it can be found if AI is creative enough as a technical tool to invest inadvertising production. The study was intended to apply a comparison of a commercial filmwritten by AI with two commercial films written by humans. For this study, a qualitativenarrative analysis was performed to investigate the story structure of the commercial films aswell as a quantitative survey to see how the commercial films capture the interest and attention of the recipients. The narrative analysis was performed for each commercial film using a narrative model consisting of different steps to analyze. The survey revealed responses from 37 respondents. Collected material from the survey was analyzed through a univariate analysis and visualized in various charts, as well as through a content analysis for the open questions. The results showed that the commercial films written by AI caught the interest more among the recipients. The conclusion is that what distinguished the AI-written commercial film against the commercial films written by humans was that the AI-written commercial film was perceived as more unique and innovative. This makes the AI-written commercial film more creative in its design and was probably what made the recipients more captivated by it than the other two commercial films. Another reason why the AI-written commercial film caught the interest of the recipients was that it had the clearest narrative structure and where the tension rises more. The conclusion of the study is that the AI-written commercial film caught the interest of the recipients in a better way because it was unique, creative, thrilling and had a clear narrative structure.

Pełny tekst źródłaDigitaliseringen pågår i hög takt och implementeras i samhället i stor grad, dock påvisar byggbranschen en digital utvecklingsgrad som inte kan jämställas med andra tekniskt beroende branscher. Byggbranschen omsätter stora mängder pengar och producerar en lång byggprocess som likaså producerar stora kostnader och har en inverkan på miljön. Det finns därför ett behov av att analysera och utreda hur de digitala hjälpmedlen som tillkommer vid en ökad digitaliseringsgrad kan effektivisera byggbranschen. Effektiviseringen preciseras i bland annat AI:s tillkomst och dess potential inom byggbranschen samt vilka möjligheter och utmaningar som byggbranschen ställs inför vid utförandet av en digital utveckling. Studien grundas i en jämförelse mellan en litteraturstudie och en intervjustudie som omfattar frågor som behandlar den digitala implementering som de olika organisationerna och företagen har bedrivit samt den framtida potential som tillkommer med deras initiativ. Det har framkommit att det finns en allmän nytta i att bedriva en digitalisering på en organisationsnivå. Huruvida de nyligen framtagna digitala medlen kan implementeras ifrågasätts, menat att det finns en komplex relation mellan de upphandlande underentreprenörerna och beställarna. De erbjudna tjänsterna och utförandesättet som underentreprenörerna erbjuder kräver investeringar för att implementera digitala medel och därmed öka digitaliseringsgraden. De större aktörerna har makten och den ekonomiska potentialen för att öka digitaliseringsgraden inom organisationen eller företaget där de mindre aktörerna måste förhålla sig till denna utveckling. Den ojämna digitaliseringsgraden synliggörs idag då makten för prissättningen av upphandlingen ligger hos underentreprenörerna i de regionalt prissatta tjänsterna som inte undergått en vidare digital utveckling. För att omsätta mer pengar i byggbranschen behöver branschen uppnå en globalt konkurrensmässig upphandling liksom tillverkningsindustrin, vilket anses tillkomma med en mer produktbaserad upphandling. För att de mindre aktörerna ska kunna särskilja sitt arbetssätt krävs en unik implementering av digitala medel och på sätt kunna förhålla sig till de större aktörerna, vilket behövs för att kunna erbjuda digitala tjänster som kommer vara eftertraktade i framtiden.

Pełny tekst źródłaIntroduction: The decision making process regarding artificial nutrition and hydration (ANH) at the terminal stage of life has been a highly topical subject worldwide. The nurse is the member of the team who’s closest to the patient, the one who identifies the patients’ needs and initiates the ANH treatment. Because of this, examining the nurses’ participation in the decision-making process was of interest. Aim: The aim of the study was to describe the nurses participation regarding the decision-making process surrounding ANH at the terminal stage of life. Method: A general literature review with an inductive approach. Eleven articles were used in the result. Results: The results of the study were divided into three themes. Factors influencing the nurse, Relations that influence the decision, The decision-making process. The result shows that the nurses working in wards often managing ANH treatment decisions and the nurses with more experience participated in the decision making process to a greater extent. The results also showed that the character of the relationship the nurse had with the doctor was important and made a difference regarding the nurses participation in the decision. Conclusion: In order for the nurses to feel comfortable and safe to participate in the decision making process they need education, guidelines and good relations with colleagues.

With interactive theatre, where the audience’s choice of movement conducts the theatre experience, architecture within computer games and artificial worlds this kind of specific architecture has relevance. I have chosen to interpret the dystopian novel Kallocain by the Swedish author Karin Boye. Living today in a society permeated by fear for the unknown, false alarms and constant surveillance of citizens for their own security, the dystopia feels more relevant today than ever. The title of the project "The fourth wall" is an expression that is used in the field of theatre. It refers to the invisible wall and the silent agreement between the stage and the audience witch allows us to read representations of reality as temporary realities while watching a play. By altering the invisible wall and make it a real one the silent agreement disappears. But when stage becomes space it also affects our understanding of what I is real and what is fiction.

Pełny tekst źródłaThe use of emoji has become a common part in our everyday communication. Oxford Dictionary selected the emoji "Face with Tears of Joy" to represent the word of the year 2015. Emoji is a relatively new tool of communication that has grown in a more digital society, where a massive part of our communication takes place through social media. Digital communication channels make people able to communicate with each other online, but also make it possible for companies to reach out and to communicate with their target groups. Previous research (Giannoulis & Wilde, 2019) has investigated how emojis can complete the private communication between people. The aim of this study is to investigate and create a wider understanding of how emojis are used in brand-to-person communication on Instagram, which is the second largest social media platform at the time of writing. The focus of the study is to investigate how emojis are used in the digital communication within three separate beverage brands such as Lohilo, Loka and Löfbergs - but also determine whether the emojis can be linked to their brand identity and what is communicated on their channels. Bibliographies, previous research and theories as Semiotics of Emojis will be used in order to gain a basic understanding of emojis as a communicative tool and its impact on digital communication. Secondly, with a clarification of the term brand and to be able to explore brand identity, we will apply brand theories. Finally, theories are used to understand the role of digital communication in the interaction and communication between people and brands. Data from a total of 330 analytical units are collected to be investigated, reported and finally analyzed through a quantitative content analysis. The analysis units for the study are Instagram posts from the brands own accounts between the years of 2018 and 2019. The final result from the study showed that emojis are a major part of corporate communication and that each company used mainly different categories of emojis. The results also indicated that the individual brand identity may have a certain impact of which emojis are used and that emojis are used to a large extent by the brands when the aim is to create engagement from the receivers of their message. Finally, emojis can be seen as a tool for companies to be able to create a human tone or presence in digital communication.

Those who are mainly affected are people who are already vulnerable and they are found in both rich and poor countries. This leads to great social injustices between developed countries and undeveloped but also within nations, therefore global health in a broader sense regarding natural capital, human capital and social capital will be required. Where burdens are shared and injuries are avoided through mitigation, adaptation and health prevention. Gradually, digitalization through, among other things, AI permeates the global society more and more and research believes that for public health work, this means great opportunities to work preventively and that health systems become more efficient, safer and cheaper. Aim: The aim is to generate knowledge about how artificial intelligence is used in health prevention work to limit the consequences of climate change. Method: A qualitative scoping review with an inductive content analysis. Results: Machine learning is used in the articles to work preventively and try to predict various threats to public health that climate change contributes to. The climate consequences that occur are vector-borne diseases, zoonoses, heat waves and air pollution. The articles extend from 2016 to 2020 and are mainly implemented in and by developed countries. Conclusion: AI can be used in health prevention work to limit the consequences of climate change based on the technology's ability to predict health threats. This is an important element in health prevention work. The research area is in its infancy and needs to take more account of ethics, justice and health determinants.

Pełny tekst źródłaIntroduction The concept of industry 4.0 was introduced 2011 in Germany during the HanoverFair and can be considered as the fourth edition of the industrial revolution. It is a concept for several technologies and a number of concepts in the automation, process and IT world. Industry 4.0 touches on subject areas such as Digitization, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analysis and the Internet of Things. This study has examined how the Swedish manufacturing industry has been affected by industry 4.0, mainly by digitalisation, and what effects it has had on industries both in the present but also in the future. Purpose The purpose of the study is to develop knowledge regarding a subject that is relevant in the current situation of industries. The study entails an increased awareness and forms an expected picture of what working life can look like after the education. Research questions How do Swedish manufacturing industries work with the implementation of industry 4.0 and what effects has it had on the companies? What are the success factors and obstacles in the implementation of industry 4.0 in the manufacturing industry? What is the relation between sustainable development and digitalisation? Method The study has used a qualitative research method with interviews, field- and literature studies. This helped to increase competence in the subject and to then be able to compare, analyze and make substantial conclusions. Using the triangulation research method contributed to the validity of the study. Results The results showed that there are various advantages for organizations in the manufacturing industry to implement industry 4.0, as previous research also has shown. These benefits are higher efficiency and productivity in conjunction with shorter lead times, better informationi sharing and more traceability in the production chain. In addition, Industry 4.0 and digitalisation promote companies' work towards sustainable development, as both the environment and the economy benefit from this. The study also found that companies who works with robots and reuse of materials had improved their resource use.

Tillämpningsområdet är framförallt på revisionsprocessen och revisionsuppgifter i helhet och inte på revisorns specifika arbetsuppgifter även om flertalet arbetsuppgifter nämns som exempel. Samt om den artificiella intelligensen eventuellt kan ta över revisorns roll i framtiden. I denna studie har två intervjuer genomförts i syfte att se hur programutvecklarna ser revisorns framtid ur ett mer tekniskt perspektiv och vad som är tekniskt möjligt att utveckla. Tre intervjuer hölls också med syftet att fånga de auktoriserade revisorernas perspektiv för att se om de redan börjat märka av förändring och hur stor förändring de kan förvänta sig inom den närmsta tiden. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur revisionsprocessen påverkas av automatisering av revisionsuppgifter samt hur revisorers yrkesroll påverkas om revisionsuppgifter automatiseras. För att uppnå vårt syfte undersökte vi vilka delar av revisorns yrke som revisorer och programutvecklare tror eller vet kan automatiseras samt vilka konsekvenser som påverkar revisorn. Slutsatsen i vår studie skiljer sig aningens mot tidigare studier där de främst intervjuat revisorer, samt att de flesta kommer fram till att revisorns roll i det stora hela förblir relativt oförändrad. Vi kom fram till att revisorns yrkesroll kan komma att omformas med åren allt eftersom lagar och regler justeras, vilket kan vara en trögrörlig process men att det med sannolikhet kommer att ske. Vi ser även att IT-revisorer kommer bli mer efterfrågade allt eftersom programmen blir mer komplicerade samt att mer teknologisk kunskap krävs för att förstå hur dessa program och system fungerar

Pełny tekst źródłaStatement of the problem: In the living individual, the estimation of dental age is a parameter used in orthopedics or dentofacial orthodontics or in pediatrics to locate the individual on its growth curve. In forensic medicine, the estimation of dental age allows to infer the chronological age for a regression or a classification task. There are physical and radiological methods. While the latter are more accurate, there is no universal method. Demirjian created the most widely used radiological method almost 50 years ago, but it is criticized for its accuracy and for using reference tables based on a French-Canadian population sample. Objective: Artificial intelligence, and more particularly machine learning, has allowed the development of various tools with a learning capacity on an annotated database. The objective of this thesis was to compare the performance of different machine learning algorithms first against two classical methods of dental age estimation, and then between them by adding additional predictors. Material and method: In a first part, the different methods of dental age estimation on living children and young adults are presented. The limitations of these methods are exposed and the possibilities to address them with the use of machine learning are proposed. Using a database of 3605 panoramic radiographs of individuals aged 2 to 24 years (1734 girls and 1871 boys), different machine learning methods were tested to estimate dental age. The accuracies of these methods were compared with each other and with two classical methods by Demirjian and Willems. This work resulted in an article published in the International Journal of Legal Medicine. In a second part, the different machine learning methods are described and discussed. Then, the results obtained in the article are put in perspective with the publications on the subject in 2021. Finally, a perspective of the results of the machine learning methods in relation to their use in dental age estimation is made. Results: The results show that all machine learning methods have better accuracy than the conventional methods tested for dental age estimation under the conditions of their use. They also show that the use of the maturation stage of third molars over an extended range of use to 24 years does not allow the estimation of dental age for a legal issue. Conclusion: Machine learning methods fit into the overall process of automating dental age determination. The specific part of deep learning seems interesting to investigate for dental age classification tasks
