Dendrophthoe pentandra (L.) Miq. and Taxillus chinensis (DC.)Danser are species of Loranthaceae. Fifteen compounds were isolated from the fresh Dendrophthoepentandra (L.) Miq., and eleven compounds were determined by spectralanalysis. They included 2,3-diamino-propionic acid (1), gallic acid (3),methyl gallate (4), methylparaben (5), phlorin (6), (+)-catechin (10),2-(3',4'-dihydroxyphenyl)-chroman-5,7-diol (11), β-sitosterol (15),β-sitosteryl-O-glucoside (16), friedelin (18) and lupeol (20). Twenty-four compounds were isolated from the fresh Taxilluschinensis (DC.) Danser, and sixteen compounds were determined byspectral analysis. They included 2,4-dimethoxy-benzaldehyde (2), gallicacid (3), methyl gallate (4), methylparaben (5), phlorin (6),syringaldehyde(7), methyl-21-hydroxy-(21R)-pheophorbide-a (8), methylpheophorbide-a (9), (+)-catechin (10), 2-(3',4'-dihydrophenyl)-chroman-5,7-diol (11), kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnoside (12), quercetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnoside (13), quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucoside (14), β-amyrin acetate(17), friedelin (18) and lupenyl acetate (19).
