On-orbit servicing of payloads is simplified when a spacecraft has been designed for serviceability. A key design criterion for a serviceable spacecraft is standardization of electrical connectors. The following research investigated the effects of extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) glove size, connector size, and connector type on usability of electrical connectors. An experiment was conducted exploring participants' ability to mate and demate connectors in an evacuated glovebox. Independent variables were two EMU glove-sizes, five connector size groups, and seven connector types. Significant differences in performance times and heart rate changes during mate and demate operations were found between EMU glove sizes, among connector types, and connector sizes. Subjective assessments of connectors were collected from participants with a usability questionnaire. The data were used to derive design recommendations for a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) recommended EMU-compatible electrical connector.

Streszczenie:
The relevance of this study results from the increasing requirements of the state and society for the formation of supply chains in accordance with the goals of sustainable development. Decision-making on chain management should be based on a comprehensive assessment of all elements of the supply chain in order to further use green methods and technologies. An effective tool for such an assessment is the use of multicriteria decision-making methods (MCDM). The article presents an overview of the research on application of the MCDM «Method of evaluation and testing of decision-making» (DEMATEL) in green logistics and management of green supply chains. A methodology for evaluating and ranking elements of the green supply chain using the DEMATEL method is proposed. The implementation of the recommended methodology makes it possible to assess the relationship between all elements of the supply chain and the strength of their influence on each other. A calculated example of ranking the elements of the green supply chain reveals that the largest number of interconnections in the supply chain is accounted for transport and storage elements of the logistics system. The results of the study may be used as a basis for planning and implementation of decisions to use the green logistics tools.

Introduction: Usual sex determination and differentiation occurs progressively during the period of embryonic development, involving chromosomal differentiation, gonadal differentiation, and somatic or genital differentiation. Swyer syndrome is a disorder of sex chromosomes and sexual differentiation characterized by 46, XY pure gonadal dysgenesis in a phenotypically female person with primary amenorrhea, and a complete absence of functioning gonadal tissue. Gonadal malignancy occurs in 10-30% of cases, so gonadectomy is indicated at the time of diagnosis. The treatment includes, in addition to the gonadectomy, hormone replacement therapy, and psychological support. Objective: To present a case diagnosed and managed in our institution, in addition to reviewing the recent literature about this rare condition, but with a strong physical, psychological and social impact. Methods: Analysis of clinical history of a patient with Swyer's Syndrome, diagnostic and therapeutic management. Bibliographic review. Presentation of the clinical case: An 18-year-old patient attends our hospital presenting primary amenorrhea. She presents BMI: 22; Tanner stage PH III BD III, gynecological examination with vulva and vagina with normal characteristics. Hormone profile requested: FSH 96.8 mU/ml, LH 32.9 mU/ml, Estradiol <25 pg/ml; Total testosterone 0.15 ng/ml. TV ultrasound shows a hypoplastic uterus of 23x11x29 mm, ovaries are not visualized, and a heterogeneous solid image of 22x23x24 mm in the left adnexal region. 46XY karyotype. In the presence of these results, a diagnosis of Swyer's syndrome is made, so an MRI was requested, which shows a uterus of 14x20x26 mm, ovaries are not visualized, a solid lobulated oval image of 23x33x47 mm poorly vascularized standing out in the left adnexal region and free inguinal canals. It was decided to perform exploratory laparoscopy and gonadectomy. The intraoperative findings were: intrapelvic hypoplastic uterus, uterine tubes without any particularities, enlarged left gonad of approximately 3x4 cm pearly white with a hard elastic consistency, and a fibrous band in the right adnexa. Bilateral adnexectomy was performed, obtaining as a histological result well-differentiated left dysgerminoma SALL4 +, OCT3/4 +, negative Inhibin and CD 117 +, and right streak gonad. Conclusions: In the presence of a person with primary amenorrhea and absence or poor development of secondary sex characteristics, Swyer's syndrome should be suspected, and pertinent studies should be requested to arrive at the diagnosis. It is essential to perform gonadectomy at the time of diagnosis due to the risk of malignant transformation. The importance of a multidisciplinary approach and psychological accompaniment of patients and relatives is highlighted.

The core value of smart grid lies in the satisfaction extent of stakeholder’s demand, thus to construct an evaluation index system for smart grid it is necessary to construct a stakeholder’s demand index set at first to access the satisfaction extent of stakeholder’s demand reasonably and roundly. We divide the index system into the demand index set and assessment index set. As the former represents the macroscopic features while the latter represents the microscopic factors of the smart distribution grid. As for the calculation of combination weight, the DEMATEL-ANP-anti-entropy weight method and the improved Grey incidence approach is proposed. The DEMATEL-ANP-anti-entropy weight method is used for demand indices’ weight analysis, while the improved Grey incidence approach is put forward for the evaluation on assessment indices. Results of applying the proposed method in practical case shows that the proposed method is valuable in following aspects: scientifically assessing the intelligent development level and effectiveness of distribution grid, analyzing and recognizing the grid’s operation condition and weak link, giving reference to planning and construction of smart distribution grid, and so on.

Nowadays the multi-criteria decision making is very complicated due to uncertainty, vagueness, limited sources, knowledge and time. The Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method is a widely used multi-criteria decision-making method to analyze the structure of a complex system. It is useful in analysing the cause and effect relationships between the components of the system. Fuzzy sets can be used to include uncertainty in multi-criteria decision making. Linguistic assessments of decision makers can be translated into fuzzy numbers. In this study, fuzzy numbers, intuitionistic fuzzy numbers and neutrosophic fuzzy numbers were used for the decision makers evaluations in the DEMATEL method. The aim of this study was to evaluate how different types of fuzzy numbers affect the final results. An application of risk in construction projects was selected from the literature, where seven experts used a linguistic scale to evaluate different criteria. The results showed that there are only slight differences between the weights of the criteria with regard to the type of fuzzy numbers.

Streszczenie:
The paper presents an overview and comparative analysis of four weighting methods for multi-criteria decision-making problem based on pairwise comparisons: AHP, Dematel, BWM and SWARA. It is demonstrate, by examples that the reliability of evaluations largely depends on the correct use of the pairwise comparison tool: evaluations are given on a verbal scale, then converted into quantitative values and then the criteria priorities are calculated. All stages of pairwise comparisons are multivariate. In particular, the validity of this decision-making tool depends on the choice of numerical scale and the method of prioritization. Given the importance, a set of concepts relating to linguistic variables, linguistic pairwise comparison matrices, and numerical scale (scale function) are presented in detail. It is demonstrate that the information of the pairwise comparison matrix in AHP is higher and is sufficient for the unambiguous implementation of the Dematel, BWM and SWARA methods. Although the reliability of the solution for a larger number of input information is considered higher, nevertheless, it cannot be argued that the decision of the AHP are more significant. The emphasis in this study is on the transformation of the numerical scale. The transformation of the numerical scale a directly related to the mental representation of the verbal scale, since the decision maker forms the scale according to his mental representation. It is demonstrate that the compression of the numerical scale leads to the alignment of priorities. The trend is the same for all types of numerical scales and prioritization methods, but the process occurs at different speeds. For scales with a smaller number of gradations, a decrease in the degree of priority on the numerical scale is characteristic, which leads to a decrease in the difference in weights. In particular, this difference can be adjusted by scaling.

The article focuses on assessing the consumer habits attitudes and behaviour towards the beef meat demand. The main objective of this study is to investigate the determinants of the households’ beef meat consumption using the main economic factors. Determining and analysis of consumer behaviour on the individual household categories level and the subsequent comparison of impact factors on consumer decision will give us an assumption to the complex understanding of the consumer behaviour determinants. We used panel data to estimate the beef meat demand in Slovakia. The data were obtained from the Household Budget Survey of the Slovak Statistical Office. The estimates of price and income elasticities of the beef meat demand are also obtained. The results indicate that the food patterns development in Slovakia during the past two decades has undergone rapid structural changes. The declining beef meat consumption is influenced mainly by the decreasing purchasing power and the occurrence of the BSE disease. According to the elasticity estimation results, we can state that the beef meat demand is price and income inelastic. Key words: beef meat consumption, households’ consumption, price elasticity, income elasticity. BSE disease

HEART can be applied quickly for any process where human reliability is important. In this study, HEART and advanced version of Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (AV-DEMATEL) integration proposed by Can and Delice in 2018 was performed for evaluating human related errors in steam boiler working process. In this way, the interactions between MDs, SDs and EPCs in a steam boiler working process were considered to compute process error probability (PEP).

In this study, we use six dimensions (i.e., firm strategy; government, structure, and rivalry; demand conditions; chance; factor conditions; and related/supporting industries) based on Porter’s diamond model to identify critical development indicators to enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan’s solar photovoltaic industry. Our proposed industry evaluation model uses the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) technique to establish an influential relationship between indicators, the DEMATEL-based analytic network process to obtain influential weights, and the modified VIšekriterijumsko Kompromisno Rangiranje (VIKOR) method to assess industry development performance gaps. Through this analysis, current industry demands can be clarified, and operations of governments and photovoltaic firms can be improved by limiting developmental gaps and formulating robust policies and strategies. Furthermore, the influential network relationship map and influential weights can help explain the complex assessment system and suggest priorities for industry improvement. The results demonstrate that the six dimensions should be upgraded in the following order of priority: firm strategy; government, structure, and rivalry; demand conditions; chance; factor conditions; and related/supporting industries. We also discuss the implications for photovoltaic firm management.

Abstract: Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) encompasses a Triple Bottom Line (TBL) consisting of : a) economic benefits, b)environmental protection, and c) social responsibility. Previous studies have focused solely on profitability or environmental dimensions while generally neglecting the social dimension. Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) and Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) techniques can identify causal relationships and hierarchical structure among factors, two techniques are commonly used separately or also may be integrated per their common characteristics with a relatively small computational burden. However, conventional DEMATEL-ISM integrated method has notable drawbacks and may not provide accurate analysis results. The purpose of the present study is to suggest the novel DEMATEL-ISM integrated approach to improve the shortage of conventional DEMATEL-ISM integrated method as well as investigate the hierarchical structure and causal relationship of social dimension barriers for SSCM implementation. A series of 13 barriers to SSCM social dimension implementation were identified and placed into a five-layer hierarchical structure. The most important barriers were found in addition to lack of government support and low market demand for sustainable products, and causal relationships among barriers were also identified for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area of China. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to map the causal relations among various supply chain flexibility (SCF) dimensions having significant impact on the Indian personal hygiene industry. Design/methodology/approach The author(s) have gone through extensive literature review and extracted 22 SCF dimensions. After conducting field visits and expert interaction in the firm related to case industry, 11 major SCF dimensions that seem to have a significant amount of influence on supply chain performance of the firms were retained for further consideration. The author(s) have used decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) to establish initial causality and structural equation model (SEM) to investigate the contribution of different flexibility dimensions on overall SCF. Findings After DEMATEL analysis, three major SCF dimensions were considered for SEM modeling. The result shows that product flexibility and physical distribution flexibility have favorable influence on the SCF, while the demand management flexibility adversely impacts overall SCF. Practical implications The approach adopted in the study can help firms to determine and exercise the flexibility dimensions of a particular supply chain. The DEMATEL and SEM offer a facilitation to explain the causal relationship between the different dimensions to take long-term decisions and address the uncertainty in the demand and supply side. Originality/value This paper has made an attempt to evaluate the supply chain flexibilities, prioritize them and evaluate the relationship amongst these flexibilities and the degree to which they affect or are affected by one another in the Indian personal hygiene industry.

The purpose of this study was to identify and exhibit the interrelationships among COVID-19’s impacts on supply chain activities. Based on a literature review and the manager’s input, twenty COVID-19 impacts were collected. An integrated approach of exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and grey-decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (G-DEMATEL) was used to reveal the causal interrelationships among the COVID-19 impacts. Initially, a questionnaire survey was administered among 220 respondents for EFA. Based on the outcome of EFA, the twenty COVID-19 impacts were categorized into seven critical areas. Then, based on the experts’ inputs, G-DEMATEL was utilized to reveal the causal interrelationships among various COVID-19 impacts. The results indicate that disruption management, relationship management, and production management are the top three critical areas that need to be addressed in the COVID-19 crisis. Disruption in supply, ripple effect on supply chain operations, and obsolescence of machines were found to be the most influential impacts while disproportionateness between supply and demand, difficulty in demand forecasting, and reduced cash inflow were found to be the most influenced impacts. This study’s outcomes will help policymakers and supply chain managers develop strategies to restructure supply chain networks. This study is an original contribution to the analysis of COVID-19 impacts in the supply chain activities in India due to the use of EFA and G-DEMATEL. This study considers India only, and hence, the outcomes lack generalizability. A study considering multiple developing countries could generalize these findings.

The paper presents contemporary trends in artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, which include, among others, artificial neural networks, decision trees, fuzzy logic systems and others. Computational intelligence methods are part of the field of research on artificial intelligence. Selected methods of computational intelligence were used to build medium-term monthly forecasts of natural gas demand for Poland. The accuracy of forecasts obtained using the artificial neural network and the decision tree with classical linear regression was compared based on historical data from a ten-year period. The explanatory variables were: gas consumption in other EU countries, average monthly temperature, industrial production, wages in the economy and the price of natural gas. Forecasting was carried out in five stages differing in the selection of the learning and testing sample, the use of data preprocessing and the elimination of some variables. For raw data and a random training set, the highest accuracy was achieved by linear regression. For the preprocessed data and the random learning set, the decision tree was the most accurate. The forecast obtained on the basis of the first eight years and tested on the last two was most accurately created by regression, but only slightly better than with the decision tree or neural network, regardless of data normalization and elimination of collinear variables. Machine learning methods showed good accuracy of monthly gas consumption forecasts, but nevertheless slightly gave way to classical linear regression, due to too narrow set of explanatory variables. Machine learning methods will be able to show higher effectiveness as the number of data increases and the set of potential explanatory variables is expanded. In the sea of data, machine learning methods are able to create prognostic models more effectively, without the analyst’s laborious involvement in data preparation and multi-stage analysis. They will also allow for the frequent updating of the form of prognostic models even after each addition of new data into the database.

Aim: Dementia, sarcopenia, and urinary incontinence (UI) are common geriatric syndromes. UI is a condition that affects the quality of life, results in social isolation, causes falls and, causes morbidity and mortality due to falls. UI also increases caregiver burnout and the burden of care in dementia patients. Continence requires an intact genito-urinary system, peripheral and central nervous system, and cognitive health. In addition, the importance of the pelvic floor muscles from the striated muscle group and the skeletal system in continence cannot be ignored. In the light of these facts, we aimed to evaluate the relationship between UI and sarcopenia in patients with dementia. Materials and Method: Dementia patients with sarcopenia who applied to the DEU Geriatrics unit between January 2015 and December 2021 were included. Patients with CDR 3 dementia and those with acute problems were excluded. Patients were grouped according to their UI status and evaluated for sarcopenia using the EWGSOP-2 criteria. Results: According to the presence of UI, no significant difference was found in demographic and laboratory findings between groups. The frequency of anti-parkinsonian drug usage and depression was more common in the UI group. While, the frequency of probable sarcopenia, severe sarcopenia, slow gait speed, and frailty was higher in the UI group; Barthel's score was lower (p

Although the global energy demand varies from country to country, it is constantly increasing on a global scale. As per IEA’s projections, the usage of two energy sources will increase (renewable with 12% and natural gas with 28%) in the global energy demand until 2040. In the study, 48 number of experts/managers (Decision Makers-DM) working in the energy sector were interviewed to establish/determine 10 main criteria and 43 sub-criteria used in demand scenarios. In the study, fuzzy multi-objective mathematical model (by using fuzzy AHP, and fuzzy TOPSIS) is developed to calculate World's and Turkey’s natural gas demand under high and low demand scenarios. By the help of model, the usage of natural gas amount in World by regions between 2020 and 2030 is calculated. In Scenario-High it will increase by approx. 26 % between 2020 and 2030 and reached 4.800 bcm in 2040. In Scenario-Low it will increase by approx. 5 % from 2020 to 2030 and reached 4.000 bcm in 2030. It is the only fossil fuel expected to grow beyond 2030 since it is clean energy source. In Scenario-High natural gas demand by region is calculated/projected as follows: in 2030 North America 1250 bcm, Central and South America 250 bcm, Europe 650 bcm, Middle East 750 bcm, Eurasia 650 bcm, Asia Pacific 1250 bcm. In the study, under the high demand scenario it has been calculated that the usage of natural gas in Turkey will increase by 52% between 2020 and 2030 and reach approximately 76 bcm, and in the low demand scenario Turkey's total natural gas demand will decrease by approximately 9% and reach approximately 45 bcm. In the study by using Fuzzy TOPSIS method, 10 number of sectors are examined and “Energy sector” was the first and “Industry sector” was the second in the ranking of the sectors in terms of global and Turkey’s natural gas demand scenario. In the study, the usage of natural gas is the only fossil resource that is expected to increase in the global energy mix among fossil fuels in 2030. This is due to high reserve amount of natural gas, i.e. global conventional natural gas reserves with 206 trillion m3 and unconventional unexplored natural gas reserves with 354 trillion m3, and as well as being a clean and environmental-friendly energy source. Since it is a clean fossil fuel and it pollutes nature & air much less than other fossil fuels and has a minimum greenhouse gas emission amount compared to other fossil sources.

Streszczenie:
As a one of the most rapidly developing countries in Asia, there have been notable changes in Malaysian food consumption pattern. Such changes in Malaysia play an important role in the outlook for future in Malaysian agri-food industry. By using Household Expenditure Survey 2004/2005 data, this study aims to build a complete demand system of food in Malaysia via Linear Approximate Almost Ideal Demand System (LA/AIDS), with incorporation of the Stone price index and the Laspeyres price index respectively. The empirical results show that the application of the Laspeyres price index produces more plausible estimates of expenditure and own-price elasticities in Malaysia. In the estimation of the LA/AIDS with incorporation of the Laspeyres price index, the estimated expenditure elasticities show that demands for meat (1.4064), fish (1.2440), vegetables (1.1729), and fruits (1.0905) are likely to grow faster than other traditional main calorie sources-rice (0.9091) and bread & other cereals (0.3177) in corresponding to positive income effect in future. This study shows that as Malaysian society becomes more affluent, Malaysian consumers are increasingly seeking for higher value protein based products, as well as functional healthy foods.
