Although neural-network architectures are critical for their performance, how the structural characteristics of a neural network affect its performance has still not been fully explored. Here, we map architectures of neural networks to directed acyclic graphs (DAGs), and find that incoherence, a structural characteristic to measure the order of DAGs, is a good indicator for the performance of corresponding neural networks. Therefore, we propose a deep isotropic neural-network architecture by folding a chain of the same blocks and then connecting the blocks with skip connections at different distances. Our model, named FoldNet, has two distinguishing features compared with traditional residual neural networks. First, the distances between block pairs connected by skip connections increase from always equal to one to specially selected different values, which lead to more incoherent graphs and let the neural network explore larger receptive fields and, thus, enhance its multi-scale representation ability. Second, the number of direct paths increases from one to multiple, which leads to a larger proportion of shorter paths and, thus, improves the direct propagation of information throughout the entire network. Image-classification results on CIFAR-10 and Tiny ImageNet benchmarks suggested that our new network architecture performs better than traditional residual neural networks. FoldNet with 25.4M parameters can achieve 72.67% top-1 accuracy on the Tiny ImageNet after 100 epochs, which is competitive compared with the-state-of-art results on the Tiny ImageNet.

Resource is an important constraint when deploying Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) on mobile and edge devices. Existing works commonly adopt the cell-based search approach, which limits the flexibility of network patterns in learned cell structures. Moreover, due to the topology-agnostic nature of existing works, including both cell-based and node-based approaches, the search process is time consuming and the performance of found architecture may be sub-optimal. To address these problems, we propose AutoShrink, a topology-aware Neural Architecture Search (NAS) for searching efficient building blocks of neural architectures. Our method is node-based and thus can learn flexible network patterns in cell structures within a topological search space. Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) are used to abstract DNN architectures and progressively optimize the cell structure through edge shrinking. As the search space intrinsically reduces as the edges are progressively shrunk, AutoShrink explores more flexible search space with even less search time. We evaluate AutoShrink on image classification and language tasks by crafting ShrinkCNN and ShrinkRNN models. ShrinkCNN is able to achieve up to 48% parameter reduction and save 34% Multiply-Accumulates (MACs) on ImageNet-1K with comparable accuracy of state-of-the-art (SOTA) models. Specifically, both ShrinkCNN and ShrinkRNN are crafted within 1.5 GPU hours, which is 7.2× and 6.7× faster than the crafting time of SOTA CNN and RNN models, respectively.

Data handling and provisioning play a dominant role in the structure of modern cloud–fog-based architectures. Without a strict, fast, and deterministic method of exchanging data we cannot be sure about the performance and efficiency of transactions and applications. In the present work we propose an architecture for a Data as a Service (DaaS) Marketplace, hosted exclusively in a cloud environment. The architecture includes a storage management engine that ensures the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements, a monitoring component that enables real time decisions about the resources used, and a resolution engine that provides semantic data discovery and ranking based on user queries. We show that the proposed system outperforms the classic ElasticSearch queries in data discovery use cases, providing more accurate results. Furthermore, the semantic enhancement of the process adds extra results which extend the user query with a more abstract definition to each notion. Finally, we show that the real-time scaling, provided by the data storage manager component, limits QoS requirements by decreasing the latency of the read and write data requests.

<p><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p>Collaboration among the professional disciplines has an important impact on the success of education and training. It is known that the architectural profession interacts with different professional disciplines at national and international universities that provide architectural education. These professions should be included in architectural education programs, especially because architecture is related to different disciplines such as civil engineering, interior architecture, landscape architecture, urban and regional planning. In this respect, design students studying in the field of architecture need to acquire interdisciplinary vocational education in order to develop their imagination, ability of thinking and to realize what they thinked.</p><p>In this context, a survey was conducted with 61 students from the 4th grade students who took the Landscape Design course in the Architecture Department of Avrasya University, which provides architectural education. The students who attended the lessons were asked for their opinions about whether the lessons contributing their professional quality or not. Survey questions were analyzed by SPSS Statistics 24 analysis program. The students who participated in the survey stated that the course was especially helpful when designing the site plan, determining the site elevations and building entry-exit points. In addition, students stated that they would like to take the landscape design course in 2nd grade instead of taking in the 4th grade.</p><p> <strong>Öz</strong></p><p>Mesleki disiplinler arasındaki ortak çalışmalar, eğitim öğretimin başarısı üzerinde önemli bir etkiye sahiptir. Mimarlık eğitimi veren ulusal ve uluslararası üniversitelerde de mimarlık mesleğinin farklı meslek disiplinleri ile etkileşim içerisinde olduğu bilinmektedir. Özellikle Mimarlığın, İnşaat Mühendisliği, İç Mimarlık, Peyzaj Mimarlığı, Şehir Bölge Planlama gibi farklı disiplinler ile ilişkili olmasından dolayı, bu disiplinlere dair mesleki bilgiler eğitim programlarında yer almalıdır. Bu açıdan mimarlık alanında eğitim öğretim gören tasarım öğrencilerinin, düşünme, düşünüleni görme ve hayata geçirme adına hayal güçlerini geliştirmek için disiplinler arası mesleki eğitimi almaları gerekmektedir.</p><p>Bu bağlamda, bu çalışmada mimarlık eğitimi veren Avrasya Üniversitesi Mimarlık Bölümü, Peyzaj Tasarım dersini alan 4. Sınıf öğrencilerinden 61 kişi ile bir anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Dersi alan öğrencilerden ders kapsamında görüşleri istenmiş ve almış oldukları dersin, mesleki eğitimlerine katkısı olup olmadığı sorgulanmıştır. Anket soruları SPSS Statistics 24 analiz programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Ankete katılan öğrenciler dersin özellikle; vaziyet planı tasarlarken, arazi kotlarını ve bina giriş-çıkış noktalarını belirlerken yardımcı olduğunu ifade etmişlerdir. Ayrıca öğrenciler ankete vermiş oldukları cevaplarında 4. sınıfta almış oldukları Peyzaj Tasarım dersinin, eğitim öğretim yılları içerisinde 2. sınıfta almak istediklerini belirtmişlerdir.</p>

This paper concentrates on the rate analysis and optimization for a downlink cell-free massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system with mixed digital-to-analog converters (DACs), where some of the access points (APs) use perfect-resolution DACs, while the others exploit low-resolution DACs to reduce hardware cost and power consumption. By using the additive quantization noise model (AQNM) and conjugate beamforming receiver, a tight closed-form rate expression is derived based on the standard minimum mean square error (MMSE) channel estimate technique. With the derived result, the effects of the number of APs, the downlink transmitted power, the number of DAC bits, and the proportion of the perfect DACs in the mixed-DAC architecture are conducted. We find that the achievable sum rate can be improved by increasing the proportion of the perfect DACs and deploying more APs. Besides, when the DAC resolution arrives at 5-bit, the system performance will invariably approach the case of perfect DACs, which indicates that we can use 5-bit DACs to substitute the perfect DACs. Thus, it can greatly reduce system hardware cost and power consumption. Finally, the weighted max–min power allocation scheme is proposed to guarantee that the users with high priority have a higher rate, while the others are served with the same rate. The simulation results prove the proposed scheme can be effectively solved by the bisection algorithm.

Processing-in-Memory (PIM) based on Resistive Random Access Memory (RRAM) is an emerging acceleration architecture for artificial neural networks. This paper proposes an RRAM PIM accelerator architecture that does not use Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) and Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs). Additionally, no additional memory usage is required to avoid the need for a large amount of data transportation in convolution computation. Partial quantization is introduced to reduce the accuracy loss. The proposed architecture can substantially reduce the overall power consumption and accelerate computation. The simulation results show that the image recognition rate for the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm can reach 284 frames per second at 50 MHz using this architecture. The accuracy of the partial quantization remains almost unchanged compared to the algorithm without quantization.

This paper presents a federated scheduling algorithm for implicit-deadline sporadic DAGs that execute on an unrelated heterogeneous multiprocessor platform. We consider a global work-conserving scheduler to execute a single DAG exclusively on a subset of the unrelated processors. Formal schedulability analysis to find the makespan of a DAG on its dedicated subset of the processors is proposed. The problem of determining each subset of dedicated unrelated processors for each DAG such that the DAG meets its deadline (i.e., designing the federated scheduling algorithm) is tackled by proposing a novel processors-to-task assignment heuristic using a new concept called processor value . Empirical evaluation is presented to show the effectiveness of our approach.

The medium gas lasers involves in-situ generation of the lasing medium, hence are associated with several complex processes including mixing of pumping and lasing species, energy exchange between the species, heat generation during reaction and its influence on the flow domain to list a few. Thus, the characterisation of lasing medium, condition of operation of individual critical subsystems and corresponding phenomenon thereof is essential in real time. It is here that a customised data acquisition and analysis system (DAAS) plays a key role. The paper dwells on the realisation of a customised hybrid DAAS with a master-slave architecture, which is portable and provides remote system operation. The noteworthy aspects of the developed DAAS include capability to handle close to 150 channels [64 analog input, 64 digital output, 5 analog output and 17 digital input] simultaneously with varied sampling rates requirement ranging from 100 samples/s to 200 k samples/s, modularity in design enabling scalability. Further, the efficacy of the developed DAAS has been tested by conducting several real time experiments with an existing chemical oxygen iodine laser source with a mass flow rate of 2.3 moles.s-1 both from close ranges and at line of sight remote distances of up to 80 m and nearly 35 m with obstacles.

Introduction Cirrhosis is a condition in which the liver becomes fibrotic following damage to the liver and transforms the architecture of the organ into regenerative nodules. The disease is caused 30% by HCV infection, resulting in a risk of severe complications and death. Since the use of direct-acting antivirals ( DAAs) for the treatment of chronic HCV, sustained virological response (SVR) rates have begun to increase, even in treatment-resistant cases. Studies have also shown that DAAs may have applications in other viral diseases and even In the treatment of breast cancer. Aim of the study The purpouse of our study was to review scientific articles to show the efficiency and potential use of DAAs in the treatment of chronic HCV, and to identify possible directions for further research. Methods and materials We reviewed the English literature in the PubMed, using the key words: "simeprevir" ; "sofosbuvir" ; "velpatasvir" ; "telaprevir" ; "chronic hepatitis C". Results Studies have shown that the therapeutic regimens currently being designed with (DAAs) offer the possibility of treating almost the entire population with hepatitis C, while reducing side effects of interferon therapy such as increased AST, ALT activities, diarrhoea, vomiting, nausea and depression. They remain effective and tolerable, regardless of the stage of cirrhosis and associated serious co-morbidities. Analysis of studiem shows, that DAAs also show efficacy against other disease such as breast cancer, MRSA infections, SARS-CoV-2 or flavivirus infection. Conclusion All (DAAs) are effective in the treatment of patients with HCV, including cirrhosis. They result in significant improvements in prognosis and clinical outcomes. Promising results have been obtained in published data on the effect of DAAs against disease entities other than HCV, suggesting the rationale for future clinical trials to further the hypothesis of the increased potential of these drugs.

In this paper, a 12-bit current-steering digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with high static and dynamic linearity is proposed. Compared to traditional intrinsic-accuracy DACs, the static linearity is obtained by a series of subsidiary DACs which can shorten the calibration cycle with smaller additional circuits. The presented DAC is based on the segmented architecture and layout has been carefully designed so that better synchronization among the current sources can be achieved. The DAC is implemented in a standard 0.18-μm CMOS technology and the current source block occupies less than 0.5 mm2. The measured differential nonlinearity (DNL) and integral nonlinearity (INL) performance is ± 0.3 LSB and ± 0.5 LSB, respectively, and the spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) is 75 dB at 1 MHz signal frequency and 200 MHz sampling frequency.

Capacitive DACs (C-DACs) are widely used as stand-alone DACs or in an ADC as auxiliary DACs. An important performance metric of a C-DAC is its energy consumption and the linearity between the digital input and the analog output. In multi-bit C-DACs, the mismatch between the capacitors can degrade linearity, which can be important in high-resolution applications. In this work, we analyze the power consumption and linearity performance of a class of C-DACs called split-array C-DACs. We show that the simple element rotation technique, which is widely used to suppress the mismatch error of DACs, cannot be used with the power-efficient three-level switching scheme to effectively suppress the mismatch error. Then, we propose a switching scheme which can be used with the power efficient three-level switching and can suppress the in-band mismatch error effectively.

In order to develop a structure-based understanding of the chitinolytic pathway in hyperthermophilic Pyrococcus species, we performed crystallographic studies on Dacs from P. horikoshii (Ph-Dac) and P. furiosus (Pf-Dac). Neither Ph-Dac nor Pf-Dac was expressed in the soluble fraction of Escherichia coli harboring the expression plasmid. However, insertion of the target genes into the chromosome of E. coli yielded the soluble recombinant protein. The purified Pyrococcus Dacs were thermostable up to 950C. The crystal structures of Ph-Dac and Pf-Dac were determined at resolutions of 2.0 Å and 1.54 Å, respectively. The Pyrococcus Dac forms a hexamer comprised of two trimers. These Dacs are characterized by an intermolecular cleft, which is formed by two polypeptides in the trimeric assembly. In Ph-Dac, catalytic zinc situated at the end of the cleft is coordinated by three side chain ligands from His44, Asp47, and His155, and by a phosphate ion derived from the crystallization reservoir solution. We considered that the bound phosphate mimicked the tetrahedral oxyanion, which is an intermediate of hydrolysis of the N-acetyl group, and proposed an appropriate reaction mechanism. In the proposed mechanism, the Nε atom of His264 (from the adjacent polypeptide in the Ph-Dac sequence) is directly involved in the stabilization of the oxyanion intermediate. These factors give the archaeal Dacs unprecedented active site architecture as a zinc-dependent deacetylase.

Digital-to-analog converters (DAC) transform signals from the abstract digital domain to the real analog world. In many applications, DACs play a crucial role. Due to variability in the production, various errors arise that influence the performance of the DAC. We focus on the current errors, which describe the fluctuations in the currents of the various unit current elements in the DAC. A key performance measure of the DAC is the Integrated Nonlinearity (INL), which we study in this article. There are several DAC architectures. The most widely used architectures are the thermometer and the binary and the segmented architectures. We study the two extreme architectures, namely the thermometer and the binary architectures. We assume that the current errors are independent and identically normally distributed and reformulate the INL as a functional of a Brownian bridge. We then proceed by investigating these functionals. For the thermometer case, the functional is the maximal absolute value of the Brownian bridge, which has been investigated in the literature. For the binary case, we investigate properties of the functional, such as its mean, variance, and density.

Desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) has been recognized as an elastic and economical solution that enables users to access personal desktops from anywhere at any time. During the interaction process of DaaS, users rely on screen updates to perceive execution results remotely, and thus the reliability and timeliness of screen updates transmission have a great influence on users’ quality of experience (QoE). However, the efficient transmission of screen updates in DaaS is facing severe challenges: most transmission schemes applied in DaaS determine sending strategies in terms of pre-set rules, lacking the intelligence to utilize bandwidth rationally and fit new network scenarios. Meanwhile, they tend to focus on reliability or timeliness and perform unsatisfactorily in ensuring reliability and timeliness simultaneously, leading to lower transmission efficiency of screen updates and users’ QoE when network conditions turn unfavorable. In this article, an intelligent and reliable end-to-end transmission scheme (IRTS) is proposed to cope with the preceding issues. IRTS draws support from reinforcement learning by adopting SARSA, an online learning method based on the temporal difference update rule, to grasp the optimal mapping between network states and sending actions, which extricates IRTS from the reliance on pre-set rules and augments its adaptability to different network conditions. Moreover, IRTS guarantees reliability and timeliness via an adaptive loss recovery method, which intends to recover lost screen updates data automatically with fountain code while controlling the number of redundant packets generated. Extensive performance evaluations are conducted, and numerical results show that IRTS outperforms the reference schemes in display quality, end-to-end delay/delay jitter, and fairness when transferring screen updates under various network conditions, proving that IRTS can enhance the transmission efficiency of screen updates and users’ QoE in DaaS.

The ruins observed in the historical and architectural structures of the cities of Jabrayil, Zangilan, Fizuli, Aghdam, Gubadli, Shusha, Kalbajar, Khojaly and other settlements are considered. The Armenian falsification of architectural monuments is shown. The problems of preserving the architectural heritage during the restoration of these settlements are analyzed.

We examine multiprocessor runtime support for fine-grained, irregular directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) such as those that arise from sparse-matrix triangular solves. We conduct our experiments on the CM-5, whose lower latencies and active-message support allow us to achieve unprecedented speedups for a general multiprocessor. Where as previous implementations have maximum speedups of less than 4 on even simple banded matrices, we are able to obtain scalable performance on extremely small and irregular problems. On a matrix with only 5300 rows, we are able to achieve scalable performance with a speedup of 34 for 128 processors, resulting in an absolute performance of over 33 million double-precision floating point operations per second. We achieve these speedups with non-matrix-specific methods which are applicable to any DAG. We compare a range of run-time preprocessed and dynamic approaches on matrices from the Harwell-Boeing benchmark set. Although precomputed data distributions and execution schedules produce the best performance, we find that it is challenging to keep their cost low enough to make them worthwhile on small, fine-grained problems. Additionally, we find that a policy of frequent network polling can reduce communication overhead by a factor of three over the standard CM-5 policies. We present a detailed study of runtime overheads and demonstrate that send and receive processor overhead still dominate these applications on the CM-5. We conclude that these applications would highly benefit from architectural support for low-overhead communication.

Many parallel compilation systems represent programs internally as Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs). However, the storage of these DAGs becomes prohibitive when the program being compiled is large. In this paper we describe a compile-time scheduling methodology for hierarchical DAG programs represented in the IFX intermediate form. The method we present is itself hierarchical reducing the storage that would otherwise be required by a single flat DAG representation. We describe the scheduling model and demonstrate the method using the Optimizing Sisal Compiler and two scientific applications.

In this study, we generated a Cloud GIS based watershed management system with using Cloud Computing architecture. Cloud GIS is used as SAAS (Software as a Service) and DAAS (Data as a Service). We applied GIS analysis on cloud in terms of testing SAAS and deployed GIS datasets on cloud in terms of DAAS. We used Hybrid cloud computing model in manner of using ready web based mapping services hosted on cloud (World Topology, Satellite Imageries). We uploaded to system after creating geodatabases including Hydrology (Rivers, Lakes), Soil Maps, Climate Maps, Rain Maps, Geology and Land Use. Watershed of study area has been determined on cloud using ready-hosted topology maps. After uploading all the datasets to systems, we have applied various GIS analysis and queries. Results shown that Cloud GIS technology brings velocity and efficiency for watershed management studies. Besides this, system can be easily implemented for similar land analysis and management studies.

AbstractThe automated detection of sequential anomalies in time series is an essential task for many applications, such as the monitoring of technical systems, fraud detection in high-frequency trading, or the early detection of disease symptoms. All these applications require the detection to find all sequential anomalies possibly fast on potentially very large time series. In other words, the detection needs to be effective, efficient and scalable w.r.t. the input size. Series2Graph is an effective solution based on graph embeddings that are robust against re-occurring anomalies and can discover sequential anomalies of arbitrary length and works without training data. Yet, Series2Graph is no t scalable due to its single-threaded approach; it cannot, in particular, process arbitrarily large sequences due to the memory constraints of a single machine. In this paper, we propose our distributed anomaly detection system, short DADS, which is an efficient and scalable adaptation of Series2Graph. Based on the actor programming model, DADS distributes the input time sequence, intermediate state and the computation to all processors of a cluster in a way that minimizes communication costs and synchronization barriers. Our evaluation shows that DADS is orders of magnitude faster than S2G, scales almost linearly with the number of processors in the cluster and can process much larger input sequences due to its scale-out property.

Acute intermittent hypoxia (AIH) elicits a form of respiratory plasticity known as long-term facilitation (LTF). Here, we tested four hypotheses in unanesthetized, spontaneously breathing rats using radiotelemetry for EEG and diaphragm electromyography (Dia EMG) activity: 1) AIH induces LTF in Dia EMG activity; 2) diaphragm LTF (Dia LTF) is more robust during sleep vs. wakefulness; 3) AIH (or repetitive AIH) disrupts natural sleep-wake architecture; and 4) preconditioning with daily AIH (dAIH) for 7 days enhances Dia LTF. Sleep-wake states and Dia EMG were monitored before (60 min), during, and after (60 min) AIH (10, 5-min hypoxic episodes, 5-min normoxic intervals; n = 9), time control (continuous normoxia, n = 8), and AIH following dAIH preconditioning for 7 days (n = 7). Dia EMG activities during quiet wakefulness (QW), rapid eye movement (REM), and non-REM (NREM) sleep were analyzed and normalized to pre-AIH values in the same state. During NREM sleep, diaphragm amplitude (25.1 ± 4.6%), frequency (16.4 ± 4.7%), and minute diaphragm activity (amplitude × frequency; 45.2 ± 6.6%) increased above baseline 0–60 min post-AIH (all P < 0.05). This Dia LTF was less robust during QW and insignificant during REM sleep. dAIH preconditioning had no effect on LTF ( P > 0.05). We conclude that 1) AIH induces Dia LTF during NREM sleep and wakefulness; 2) Dia LTF is greater in NREM sleep vs. QW and is abolished during REM sleep; 3) AIH and repetitive AIH disrupt natural sleep patterns; and 4) Dia LTF is unaffected by dAIH. The capacity for plasticity in spinal pump muscles during sleep and wakefulness suggests an important role in the neural control of breathing.

This paper presented the design of a novel embedded bio-impedance analyzer based on digital auto-balancing bridge method. The hardware architecture of the system mainly consists of FPGA, ADC, DACs, USB controller and so on. Many DSP algorithms such as direct digital synthesis, digital phase sensitive demodulation, digital modulation and digital filter were implemented in FPGA to realize the auto balancing function of the bridge circuit. Simulation results show that the system has good performance from low frequency up to 10 MHz. For the advantages of cost-efficient and high stability, it is suitable for BIA application.

An asymmetric point-to-multipoint (PTMP) coherent architecture combined with a frequency aliasing recovery (FAR) algorithm is proposed for cost-constraint short-reach access networks. In this architecture, the uplink transmitters are simplified significantly with the uplink dual-polarization four-level pulse amplitude modulation (DP-PAM4) and downlink DP quadrature phase shift keying (DP-QPSK) asymmetric transmission design. Digital to analog converters (DACs) and radio frequency (RF) drivers are reduced by half, and in-phase and quadrature modulators (IQMs) are replaced by Mach-Zehnder modulators (MZMs), saving four MZ interferometers (MZIs). Furthermore, based on the asymmetric architecture, the FAR algorithm can recover signals from frequency aliasing caused by frequency offset (FO), even when half of the signal spectrum is aliased. This algorithm enables the asymmetric architecture to narrow down guard bands between subcarriers or even overlap the subcarriers, saving the receiver bandwidth at the aggregation/hub side. The performance of the asymmetric uplink DP-PAM4 transmission with the FAR algorithm is evaluated in both simualations and experiments. The effects of laser linewidths and IQ skew on the performance of the FAR algorithm are also analyzed. Simulation results show the algorithm can recover 16 Gbaud and 32 Gbaud signal from 8 GHz and 16 GHz aliasing, respectively. In the experiments with 10 km fiber transmissions, the FAR algorithm can recover 10 Gbaud signals from 5 GHz frequency aliasing, saving about 20.83% of the total receiver bandwidth in a 2-subcarrier system.

A new high-vacuum multipurpose diffractometer (called FORTE from the French acronyms of the project) has recently been installed at the tender/hard X-ray SIRIUS beamline of Synchrotron SOLEIL, France. The geometry chosen allows one to work either in the classical Eulerian four-circle geometry for bulk X-ray diffraction (XRD) or in the z-axis geometry for surface XRD. The diffractometer nicely fits the characteristics of the SIRIUS beamline, optimized to work in the 1.1–4.5 keV range, and allows one to perform unprecedented diffraction anomalous fine structure (DAFS) experiments in the tender X-ray region, also around non-specular reflections, covering a large reciprocal-space volume. Installation of an X-ray fluorescence detector on a dedicated flange allows simultaneous DAFS and X-ray absorption (XAS) measurements. The access to the tender X-ray region paves the way to resonant investigations around the L-edges of second-row transition elements which are constituents of functional oxide materials. It also enables access to several edges of interest for semiconductors. Finally, the control architecture based on synchronized Delta Tau units opens up exciting perspectives for improvement of the mechanical sphere of confusion.

An automated classification system based on a Deep Learning (DL) technique for Cardiac Disease (CD) monitoring and detection is proposed in this paper. The proposed DL architecture is divided into Deep Auto-Encoders (DAEs) as an unsupervised form of feature learning and Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) as a classifier. The objective of this study is to improve on the previous machine learning technique that consists of several data processing steps such as feature extraction and feature selection or feature reduction. It is also noticed that the previously used machine learning technique required human interference and expertise in determining robust features, yet was time-consuming in the labeling and data processing steps. In contrast, DL enables an embedded feature extraction and feature selection in DAEs pre-training and DNNs fine-tuning process directly from raw data. Hence, DAEs is able to extract high-level of features not only from the training data but also from unseen data. The proposed model uses 10 classes of imbalanced data from ECG signals. Since it is related to the cardiac region, abnormality is usually considered for an early diagnosis of CD. In order to validate the result, the proposed model is compared with the shallow models and DL approaches. Results found that the proposed method achieved a promising performance with 99.73% accuracy, 91.20% sensitivity, 93.60% precision, 99.80% specificity, and a 91.80% F1-Score. Moreover, both the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve and the Precision-Recall (PR) curve from the confusion matrix showed that the developed model is a good classifier. The developed model based on unsupervised feature extraction and deep neural network is ready to be used on a large population before its installation for clinical usage.

The architecture and operation theory of Giant Magnetostrictive Accurate-motion Actuator have been introduced. After analysing the driving characteristic of giant magnetostrictive material and requirement of driving power, a design method of wide range and high precision NC constant-current source has been put out. The output circuit is composed of serial 12-bit DACs Max531, low-noise high-speed precision operational amplifiers OP27 and driving circuit. It provides current from 0 to 2.048A with 0.5mA step value. Two fully differential input channels 16-bit, sigma-delta ADCs AD7705 collects output current in feedback loop. Current ripple is controlled under 0.25mA through using homemade high-performance linear power. The result shows that the driving power with characteristic of high stability and fast response meets the needs of driving of Giant Magnetostrictive Accurate-motion.

A high-linearity Multi-stAge noise SHaping (MASH) 2–2–2 sigma–delta modulator (SDM) for 20-MHz signal bandwidth (BW) was presented. Mismatch noise in the internal multi-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) was analyzed in detail, and an alternative randomization scheme based on multi-layer butterfly-type network was proposed to suppress spurious tones in the output spectrum. Fabricated in a 0.18-[Formula: see text]m single–poly 4-metal Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) process, the modulator occupied a chip area of 0.45[Formula: see text]mm2, and dissipated a power of 28.8[Formula: see text]mW from a 1.8-V power supply at a sampling rate of 320[Formula: see text]MHz. The measured spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) was 94[Formula: see text]dB where 17-dB improvement was achieved by applying the randomizers for multi-bit DACs in the first two stages. The peak signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SNDR) was 76.9[Formula: see text]dB at [Formula: see text]1 dBFS @ 2.5-MHz input, and the figure-of-merit (FOM) was 126[Formula: see text]pJ/conv.

According to some sources, the word Aghdam means "small fortress" in ancient Turkish. Archaeological excavations carried out by the famous archeologist Ideal Narimanov in Uchoglan Tepe, Aghdam, show that the first people lived in the region 6-8 thousand years ago and were engaged in agriculture and cattle breeding. There were many architectural and artistic monuments with ancient history in the territory of Aghdam region. Aghdam was also rich with its museums and galleries. Ensembles "Shur", "Karabakh Nightingales" operated in Aghdam Mugam Center. Many prominent scientists grew up in Aghdam. Academicians Khudu Mammadov, Adila Namazova, Ziyaddin Goyushov, professors Rafig Aliyev, Zakir Mammadov, Salman Garayev, Rashid Goyushov, Zabil Bayramov, Habil Gurbanov, and others have achieved great success in various fields of science.
