El proyecto «Dico Culturel» (Diccionario Cultural) consistió en concebir un modelo de diccionario cultural, bilingüe, unidireccional, francés de Francia-español de Colombia. Se escogieron 100 vocablos o expresiones de la lengua francesa y a partir de estos se redactaron los artículos que incorporan informaciones lingüísticas y sobre todo culturales e interculturales entre estos dos países. En este artículo, evaluamos el grado de pertinencia y la forma en la que se organizaron y se presentaron los contenidos culturales en el prototipo creado. A partir de una encuesta constituida de una serie de enunciados, interrogamos a un grupo de estudiantes universitarios de francés. Les solicitamos su opinión sobre los contenidos culturales de una muestra de artículos del diccionario. Los datos obtenidos fueron examinados cuantitativamente y nos permitieron constatar la valoración positiva del prototipo por los estudiantes. Por consiguiente, se concluye que este recurso puede contribuir ampliamente al aprendizaje del Francés Lengua Extranjera (FLE) y a la comprensión cultural e intercultural, ya que, a través de las informaciones suministradas, se genera una conciencia cultural. De esta manera, los estudiantes reflexionan y se sensibilizan acerca de los diversos contenidos culturales e interculturales que se cobijan en el léxico y sobre sus singularidades dependiendo de cada comunidad lingüística.

In un contesto in cui la cultura e il patrimonio culturale rivestono un'importanza fondamentale per la continuità storica e l'identità nazionale, la digitalizzazione emerge come un mezzo essenziale per la loro preservazione e promozione. Questo articolo sottolinea l'importanza della preservazione del patrimonio culturale immateriale legato alle lingue soffermandosi sul progetto di digitalizzazione delle trascrizioni delle interviste sul campo che hanno costituito la documentazione di riferimento di Manzini e Savoia (2005). Tale lavoro è previsto dal programma "Cultural Heritage Active Innovation for Sustainable Society," finanziato dal PNRR promosso dal Ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca e dall'Unione Europea e finalizzato alla gestione sostenibile delle risorse culturali e alla promozione della diversità e ricchezza linguistica, elementi cruciali per il futuro della cultura italiana. Il progetto di digitalizzazione è parte integrante dell’attività dello Spoke 2 (Creativity and Intangible Cultural Heritage) incardinato nel Dipartimento di Lettere e Filosofia dell’Università di Firenze, e previsto dal Partenariato Esteso PE5 Cultura umanistica e patrimonio culturale come laboratori di innovazione creatività promosso dall’Ateneo fiorentino. In a context where cultural heritage plays a fundamental role in a nation's identity and historical continuity, digitalization emerges as an essential means to preserve and promote this heritage. The present article underscores the importance of preserving intangible cultural heritage related to languages, focusing on the digitization project of field interview transcriptions that constituted the reference documentation of Manzini and Savoia (2005). This work is part of the "Cultural Heritage Active Innovation for Sustainable Society" program, funded by the PNRR promoted by the Ministry of University and Research and the European Union. The program aims at the sustainable management of cultural resources and the promotion of diversity and linguistic richness, crucial elements for the future of Italian culture. The digitization project is an integral part of the activities of Spoke 2 (Creativity and Intangible Cultural Heritage) within the Dipartimento di Lettere e Filosofia at the University of Florence, that is provided by PE5 Humanistic culture and cultural heritage as laboratories of innovation creativity promoted by the University of Florence.

En este texto se hace una revisión acerca de la relación entre ciudadanía y cultura. Explorar textos de ciencias sociales que tratan de estos términos para analizar determinados sujetos sociales, tanto en su acción como en su conceptualización, nos lleva a considerar que las ciudadanías son diversas, heterogéneas y con posiciones desiguales respecto a otros conjuntos de ciudadanos/as y en su relación con la esfera estatal. Cada conjunto de ciudadanos/as vive y modela su acción social con base en sus propias configuraciones identitarias, códigos y disposiciones culturales, afectados todos ellos por relaciones de poder y género, de clase y etnia. Las ciudadanías expresan –a través de sus acciones, emociones y pensamientos– la pluralidad social, política, económica y cultural de nuestras conflictivas sociedades contemporáneas. Dos reflexiones se desarrollan en este ensayo: primero se aborda la discusión desde las prácticas ciudadanas; en una segunda mirada se resalta la dimensión cultural que dichas prácticas manifiestan de derechos ciudadanos específicos.

Abstract Cultural diplomacy has lesser aspects of monolithical sustainability, but it can have stronger gist production. Romania and France have always rebounded their relations in the court of cultural relations. Throughout this article, we will try to emphasize the sequel and tenor of cultural diplomacy in foreign policy and the sorts and medium it can have for solidarity rendering. Further, we will use these explanations in order to accent its proper usability in contemporary France-Romanian relations. We contend that the relaunching of the strategic partneship between Romania and France, opens new chances of predisposition for the avenues of cultural diplomacy. We will commence with the timely nearness between Romania and France in the last century and then, proceed with the lines of approach of cultural diplomacy in Romanian-France contemporary foreign policy affairs.

Este trabalho traz um exame dos guias classificados como culturais, e elaborados especificamente para a área de comércio internacional. Procura verificar a qualidade das informações neles contida a respeito da cultura em geral e da cultura árabe em particular, e também sua eficácia no processo de contato intercultural, verificando se de fato cumprem seu papel de guiar o leitor rumo ao conhecimento das características culturais do país alvo, com a intenção de possibilitar e facilitar o contato entre diferentes culturas. O exame desses guias é feito a luz da Inteligência Cultural, conceito relativamente novo que propõe o desenvolvimento de habilidades e de flexibilidade para aprender e assimilar aspectos de uma cultura.
This work brings an examination of the guides classified as cultural guides, elaborated specifically for the area of international commerce. Its aim is to verify the quality of the information contained in them about culture in general and, the Arab culture particularly; and so its efficiency in the process of intercultural contact, verifying whether in fact they fulfill the role of guiding the reader onto the path of knowledge of cultural characteristics about a particular country, with the intention of making contact possible and facilitating the contact between different cultures. The examination of these guides is made through the theory of Cultural Intelligence, a concept relatively new which is centered on the development of skills and flexibility to learn and assimilate aspects of a new culture.

A descrição de alguns aspectos da vida intelectual de Luís da Câmara Cascudo visa contribuir para análise sociológica de aspectos culturais da sociedade. O autor produziu escrito nas áreas de história, biografia, memorialística e folclore. Com a produção intelectual folclórica se colocou no mercado editorial brasileiro em formação. Procurou-se concentrar análises em alguns documentos culturais relacionados à perspectiva intelectual de Cascudo. Produzidos pelo próprio ou sobre ele. Detalhando características desses documentos bem específicos, tentou-se ver neles alguns elementos das estruturas sociais. Essas produções intelectuais, apesar de diferentes, encerraram no autor uma perspectiva comum de fundo. Tomando alguns pontos específicos das realizações do autor, procurou-se contribuir para as questões culturais que envolvem a intelectualidade brasileira no século XX.
A description of some aspects of the intellectual life of Luís da Câmara Cascudo aims to contribute to sociological analysis of cultural aspects of society. The author has produced writing in the areas of history, biography, memoirs and folklore. With the intellectual folk stood in the Brazilian publishing market in the making. We tried to focus analysis on some documents related to the intellectual culture of Cascudo. Produced by himself or on it. Detailing very specific characteristics of these documents, we tried to see in them some elements of social structures. These intellectual products, although different, the author ended a shared background. Taking some specific achievements of the author, sought to contribute to cultural issues involving Brazilian intellectuals in the twentieth century.

O presente trabalho pretende analisar a adoção de um conceito ampliado de cultura no discurso do Ministério da Cultura (MinC) no Governo Lula (2003-2010), compreendendo-o não como evento retórico, mas enquanto discurso, e assim prática social e política. Dito isto, procura-se situar este discurso dentro no contexto do governo Lula e de uma história recente das políticas culturais no Brasil, tendo em vista a constante relação da atual política cultural com discursos e diretrizes de outras gestões, bem como dos organismos internacionais. Desta forma, localiza-se este discurso enquanto inserido em uma cadeia interdiscursiva, onde o discurso se refere a atores posicionados no interior da sociedade, inseridos nas disputas hegemônicas. Para a consecução desta pesquisa, através da orientação teórico-metodológica da Análise do Discurso, foram analisados os discursos oficiais dos ministros e gestores do MinC que se tornaram públicos através do site da instituição, bem como artigos publicados no mesmo local.

Buscamos discutir e identificar os efeitos de três mecanismos de transmissão cultural utilizados pelos participantes em 4 arranjos experimentais: Arranjo Experimental I: a) contato com os materiais produzidos pelas gerações prévias; b) contato com a geração prévia na coparticipação e; c) contato com as gerações prévias através da observação Arranjo Experimental II: contato com os materiais produzidos pelas gerações prévias; Arranjo Experimental III: ) contato com as gerações prévias através da observação e; Arranjo Experimental IV: contato com a geração prévia na coparticipação. Os participantes tiveram de desenhar um Barco em três situações distintas. Cada situação foi identificada como: Fase A, B e C. Desenvolvemos entrevistas curtas nos intervalos de cada fase com vistas a identificar construções de significados de cada participante frente ao que os tocaram nas tarefas. Nosso estudo partiu de uma reorganização do projeto desenvolvido por Caldwell e Millen (2008) onde as autoras buscaram, desde um olhar evolucionista da cultura, identificar a perpetuação de produtos das atividades ao longo das gerações de participantes. Diferentemente de Caldwell e Millen, partimos de uma proposta teórico-metodológica advinda da disciplina nomeada como Psicologia Cultural onde se pretende estudar, discutir e se posicionar perante as complexas relações que as pessoas estabelecem consigo, com os outros e com a cultural em seu mundo, nesta perspectiva as novidades emergentes nas relações ganham maiores destaque em comparação com as regularidades e perpetuações. Com isso, consideramos neste estudo a cultura como sendo estruturas (estabilidades) e processos interativos (variações) que restringem e permitem as ações das pessoas em suas relações transformativas que são estabelecidas em seus mundo. É nesta medida, também, que compreendemos o processo de transmissão cultural como um constructo utilizado para estudarmos como as pessoas apreendem e transformam aspectos culturais de uma geração a outra. Como sínteses dos principais resultados destacamos que: 1) na interação indivíduo(s)-cultura(s) existe uma constate variação possibilitando, restringindo e permitindo a emergência de estabilidades e variações em dinâmicas bidirecionais e multidirecionais de transformação; 2) a observação da geração prévia e o contato com estas gerações através dos artefatos produzidos por elas promovem nítidas estabilidades nas produções e significações dadas pelos participantes da pesquisa em comparação com tarefas realizadas somente em coparticipação; 3) pudemos identificar a emergência de novidades, ora sutis, ora outra, bastante evidentes nas relações estabelecidas entre os participantes; 4) a relação participante-pesquisador-pesquisa ganha dimensões e implicações que merecem maior atenção no estudo de processos culturais, desde metodologias experimentais, em Psicologia Cultural. Portanto, notamos que a forma proposta neste estudo acerca de como vislumbrar a cultura e os caminhos teórico-metodológicos seguidos permitiu-nos trabalhar conceitualmente e experimentalmente sobre o processo de transmissão cultural e, portanto, sobre o estudo de processos culturais. Pudemos observar que além de nos dar indícios de que o processo de transmissão cultural garante a singularidade de cada cultura através da observação da geração prévia em ação, da coparticipação com ela e do contato com artefatos culturais (em diferentes graus e medidas), esta pesquisa nos permitiu questionar e cogitar estudos futuros sobre o fazer científicoexperimental em psicologia cultural
The interest of this research is to discuss and identify the effects of three cultural transmission mechanisms used by participants in 4 experimental arrangements: Experimental Arrangement I: a) contact with the materials produced by tradition; b) contact with the tradition of co-participation, and c) contact with the tradition through observation; Experimental Arrangement II: contact with the materials produced by tradition; Experimental Arrangement III: Contact with the tradition through observation and; Experimental Arrangement IV: Contact with the tradition through co-participation. The participants had to draw a \'boat\' in three different situations. Each situation has been identified as: Phase A, B and C. Interviews were carried out in short intervals of each phase in order to identify constructions meanings, variations and stabilities concerning the interpretation given by each participant in relation to what was noticed in the tasks. Our study was a reorganization of the project developed by Caldwell and Millen (2008) where the authors sought from a cultural evolutionary perspective, identifying the perpetuation of products of activities throughout the generations of participants. Unlike Caldwell and Millen, we from a theoretical and methodological proposal coming from the discipline called Cultural Psychology where intends to study, discuss and understand the complex relationships, in which, people establish themselves, with others and with the world in its cultural field, in this perspective the emergence of novelties in relations gain greater prominence compared to the regularities and perpetuations. Thus, in this study weve considered culture as structures (stabilities) and interactive processes (variations) that constrain and enable the actions of people in their transformative relationships that are established in their world. Also, Cultural transmission is a construct used to understand the process in which cultural aspects are apprehended by people that interact with different cultures or between different generations within a culture. Main Results: 1) the individual(s)-culture(s) relations constraining and enabling the emergence of stability and variations in a dynamic bidirectional and multidirectional process, 2) the observation of the previous generation and contact with these generations through the artifacts produced by they promote more stabilities in products and meanings given by the participants in their tasks in comparison with coparticipation, 3) were able to identify the emergence of novelties, sometimes subtle, sometimes quite evident, in relationships established among the participants, 4) the relationship participantresearcher acquire dimensions and implications that deserve more attention in the study of cultural processes, from experimental methodologies, in Cultural Psychology. Therefore, weve noticed that the form proposed in this study about how to foresee the culture and theoretical-methodological ways followed, allowed us to work conceptually and experimentally on the process of cultural transmission and, therefore, on the study of cultural processes. Weve observed that besides giving us evidence that the process of cultural transmission ensures the uniqueness of each culture through observation of the previous generation in action, the joint participation with it and contact with cultural artifacts (in different degrees and measures), this research allowed us to question and contemplate future studies on the scientific-experimental in cultural psychology

El trabajo de investigación propone como espacio cultural un Centro Cultural Étnico Amazónico en la Ciudad de Puerto Maldonado con énfasis en el regionalismo local. En primer lugar, se obtuvo un análisis de la situación actual el cual refleja la necesidad de un equipamiento cultural que promueva la cultura local mediante las etnias amazónicas originarias. Por tanto, se indago sobre el lugar en cuanto a su gran potencial cultural, natural, turístico que posee como región y las problemáticas sociales, culturales y educativas. Actualmente, es necesario una propuesta de espacio cultural que complemente y fomente al sector educación y cultura, revalorando las costumbres, tradiciones locales. También, se obtuvieron modelos no arquitectónicos mediante espacios culturales referenciales a nivel global, nacional y regional que nos aproxima a las actividades a desarrollar en el espacio cultural. Asimismo, se analizaron libros y proyectos referenciales de la tipología y del énfasis de regionalismo con la finalidad de obtener pautas de diseño en cuanto a los aspectos de ubicación, la forma, la función y los aspectos tecnológicos más adecuados y pertinentes para la intervención de los espacios culturales.
The research proposes as a cultural space an Amazonian Ethnic Cultural Center in the City of Puerto Maldonado with emphasis on local regionalism. First, an analysis of the current situation was obtained which reflects the need for cultural equipment that promotes local culture through the original Amazonian ethnic groups. Therefore, we inquired about the place in terms of its great cultural, natural, tourist potential that it has as a region and the social, cultural and educational problems. Currently, a proposal for a cultural space that complements and encourages the education and culture sector is necessary, revaluing customs, local traditions. Also, non-architectural models were obtained through referential cultural spaces at a global, national and regional level that brings us closer to the activities to be developed in the cultural space. Likewise, reference books and projects of the typology and emphasis of regionalism were analyzed in order to obtain design guidelines regarding the aspects of location, form, function and the most appropriate and pertinent technological aspects for the intervention of the cultural spaces

A cidade de São Luiz do Paraitinga, localizada no Vale do Paraíba, estado de São Paulo, nos primeiros dias do ano de 2010, foi atingida pela maior inundação de sua história. As águas do rio Paraitinga subiram aproximadamente doze metros acima de seu leito habi-tual, causando a destruição de grande parte do patrimônio histórico arquitetônico e causando diversos prejuízos à população atingida. O processo de reconstrução da cidade foi marcado por ter a cultura local como pro-tagonista que, em diversas situações obrigou o poder público e os órgãos de preservação do patrimônio histórico a reverem projetos pré-concebidos e contemplar a identidade local como objetivo primordial. Para estudar a cultura popular protagonizando o processo de reconstrução de São Luiz do Paraitinga, primeiramente apresentei o lugar que a memória e as manifestações da cultura popular têm na construção da identidade da cidade. Diretamente envolvido no pro-cesso que também era meu objeto de estudo, coletei uma rica documentação que, com minha vivência, fundamentou a análise apresentada. Nela, ressalto o lugar central que o modo de viver dos moradores ocupou em diferentes momentos ligados à tragédia ocorrida, às ações voltadas para a retomada da normalidade e à reconstrução do que havia sido destruído. A experiência trouxe contribuições relevantes não só para a vida pública de São Luiz do Parai-tinga, como para a reflexão acerca das situações resultantes de tragédias que alteram a vida de cidades, transformando completamente seu cotidiano e envolvendo ações e relações ex-cepcionais de órgãos públicos, entidades coletivas e da população.
The city of Sao Luiz do Paraitinga, located in the Paraiba Valley, State of Sao Paulo, in the first days of calendar year 2010, was hit by the biggest flood in its history. The waters of the river Paraitinga rose about twelve meters above its usual riverbed, causing destruction of a great portion of the architectural heritage and causing several damages to the affected population. The process of reconstruction of the city had the local culture in a leading role since in various situations the government and agencies responsible for national heritage preser-vation were forced to review pre-designed projects and contemplate the identity of that community as an essential goal. In order to study this leadership of popular culture in the process of rebuilding São Luiz do Paraitinga, I first brought up the significance that memory and expressions of pop-ular culture have for the identity of the town. Directly involved in the process, which was also my object of study, I collected rich documentation that along with my experience jus-tified the analysis presented. In that analysis, I highlight the main role that peoples life-style played in different moments which are linked to the tragedy that occurred, to the ac-tions taken to return to normality and to the reconstruction of what had been destroyed. The experience brought significant contributions, not only to the people of Sao Luiz do Paraitinga, but also to the understanding of situations resultant from disasters that change the living conditions in cities, completely transforming its daily routines as well as the practices of governmental and collective agencies and the population.

Há cerca de uma década a noção de Patrimônio Imaterial vem sendo incorporada às políticas de patrimônio dos Estados latinoamericanos, e também no contexto internacional mais amplo, a partir da Convenção para a Salvaguarda do Patrimônio Imaterial (UNESCO, 2003). Nesta dissertação são analisadas as experiências de identificação e registro de bens culturais desta natureza no Brasil e no México, por meio da apreciação de documentos oficiais produzidos no âmbito desta política, os Dossiês de registro realizados no Brasil e o Inventario del Patrimonio Inmaterial mexicano. Considera-se, a partir do histórico das políticas culturais e da relação entre Estado e cultura popular, que este tipo de reconhecimento tem características específicas na América Latina, configurando as potencialidades e desafios da implementação de tal política neste contexto. Partindo desta preocupação e da análise dos documentos mencionados, foram definidos dois eixos temáticos relacionados, que nortearam a comparação entre Brasil e México. O primeiro deles refere-se aos desdobramentos da ampliação da noção de cultura, que caracteriza este tipo de bem cultural, para as políticas de patrimônio destes países. Verifica-se que tal alargamento resulta na incorporação de tensões sociais igualmente amplas no universo de atenção desta área de intervenção estatal. No segundo eixo são privilegiadas questões relativas ao processo de atribuição de valor a estas manifestações, práticas e expressões culturais como patrimônio. Identifica-se a politização deste tipo de reconhecimento, na medida em que tem o sentido de corroborar oficialmente o valor já atribuído a tais bens em seus contextos de produção. Nesse sentido, a partir da documentação oficial são analisados os processos de negociação de critérios e conceitos de valoração, bem como da legitimidade dos sujeitos coletivos, Estado e grupos detentores dos bens culturais, no processo de reconhecimento.
For about one decade the notion of Intangible Cultural Heritage is being incorporated within the cultural heritage policies by the Latin American states, and also in an international context, from the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (UNESCO, 2003). In this thesis the experiences of identification and registry of this category of heritage in Brazil and Mexico are analysed, by means of an appreciation of official documents produced within this policy, the Registry Dossiers (Dossiês de registro) made in Brazil and Mexican Inventory of Intangible Heritage (Inventario del Patrimonio Inmaterial). Based on the history of the cultural policies and the relationship between State and popular culture, it is considered that this kind of acknowledgment has specific characteristics in Latin America, setting the potentialities and challenges of the implementation of such politics in this context. Begining by this concern and the analysis of the mentioned documents, two related thematic axes were defined, which guided the comparison between Brazil and Mexico. The first of them refer to the deployment of the widening of the notion of culture, which characterizes this type of cultural heritage, to the heritage policies of these countries. It is verified that such widening results in the incorporation of social tensions, equally broad, within the universe of concern of this area of state intervention. The second axis privilege questions related to the process of attribution of value to cultural manifestations, practices and expressions as heritage. There has been identified the politization of this kind of acknowledgement, as far as it means to corroborate officially the values previously attributed to such heritage in its production context. In this sense, as of the official documentation an analysis is developed about the process of negociation of criteria and concepts of valuing, as well as the legitimacy of collective beings, State anda other groups of holders of cultural heritage in its recognition process.

A pesquisa partiu da seguinte pergunta matriz: Existem políticas públicas para a cultura do campo no Brasil? O trabalho exigiu um entendimento de natureza teórico-conceitual sobre as políticas culturais e a cultura do campo, partindo de referenciais dispersos que possibilitariam um olhar crítico para o que pudesse ser encontrado em um trabalho empírico. Os referenciais utilizados foram articulados na perspectiva de uma consciência das relações de poder e dominação que influenciam e desafiam a realidade analisada. Por sua vez, o trabalho empírico procurou levantar e discutir as ações culturais do Estado brasileiro que abrangem ou estão voltadas para as populações rurais. A pesquisa verificou que não há no país nenhuma política sistemática pensada especificamente para a cultura do campo. O que existe são ações e programas com objetivos de outra natureza que acabam abrangendo o desenvolvimento cultural das populações campesinas. Considerando que cerca de 30 milhões de pessoas vivem no campo, pode-se afirmar que: i) os apoios existentes às práticas culturais rurais são escassos perto da demanda existente e enfrentam inúmeras dificuldades para se desenvolver; ii) as políticas culturais predominantes em geral as leis de incentivo à cultura são distantes da realidade das populações rurais; iii) há caminhos consistentes para o desenvolvimento da dimensão cultural do campo, que precisam ser crescentemente e continuamente aprofundados na perspectiva de promover mudanças culturais com capacidade de transformar as estruturas de dominação e exploração da realidade brasileira
The research started from the following matrix question: Arte there public policies for the countryside culture in Brazil? The work required an understanding of theoretical-conceptual nature of cultural policies and the rural culture, from scattered references that would enable a critical look at what could be found in an empirical research . The references it used were articulated from the perspective of an awareness of the relations of power and domination that influence and challenge the reality analyzed. In turn, the empirical research sought to raise and discuss the cultural actions of Brazilian State that include or are focused on rural populations. The research found that there is no systematic policy in the country designed specifically for the rural culture. There are only actions and programs, with other goals, that end up covering the cultural development of peasant populations. Considering that around 30 million people live in the countryside, it can be stated that: i) the existing support to rural cultural practices are scarce in relation to the existing demand and face many difficulties to be developed; ii) the prevailing cultural policies in general - laws to encourage culture - are far from the reality of rural communities; iii) there is consistent paths for the development of the cultural dimension of the countryside which need to be increasingly and continuously deepened so as to promote cultural changes with the capacity to transform structures of domination and exploitation within Brazilian reality

Why is this so? El reto que plantea esta investigación es comprender los distintos paisajes culturales presentes en las plazas de mercado de Bogotá, a través de la historia de la primera plaza de mercado cubierta de Bogotá y del país: La plaza de mercado de la Concepción. La reconstrucción de este paisaje cultural tiene un contexto físico: Bogotá, y un contexto temporal: la transición entre siglo XIX y Siglo XX (1.864-1.953). La propuesta de investigación se sustenta en la siguiente hipótesis: Los valores patrimoniales contenidos en el paisaje cultural de las plazas de mercado, no dependen de la existencia de la arquitectura que los alberga, sino de la permanencia de los ritos, costumbres, tradiciones que escapan a las formas espaciales, por lo que muchos de estos valores prevalecen hasta hoy como manifiestos de una cultura en las plazas de mercado bogotanas. Es por ello, que la identificación de los paisajes culturales manifestados en esta plaza de mercado, permitirá detentar los principales tipos de paisajes culturales actuales y sus valores patrimoniales, como testimonios del permanente encuentro entre las culturas del campo y de la ciudad. The challenge of this research is to understand the different cultural landscapes present in the market places of Bogota, across the history of the first marketplace covered of Bogota and of the country: The marketplace of the Concepcion. The reconstruction of this cultural landscape has a physical context: Bogota, and a temporary context: the transition between 19th century and 20th century (1.864-1.953). This proposal is sustained in the following hypothesis: The patrimonial values contained in the cultural landscape of the marketplaces, do not depend on the existence of the architecture that shelters them, but of the permanency of the rites, customs, traditions that escape to the spatial forms, for what many of these values prevail up to today as manifests of a culture in the of Bogotá marketplaces. It is for it, that the identification of the cultural landscapes demonstrated in the marketplace, will allow to hold the principal types of cultural current landscapes and his patrimonial values, as testimonies of the permanent meeting between the cultures of the country and the city.

To explore the possible socio-cognitive consequences of biculturalism, we examined the complexity of cultural representations in monocultural and bicultural individuals. Study 1 found that Chinese-American biculturals’ free descriptions of both American and Chinese cultures were higher in cognitive complexity than that of Anglo-American monoculturals, but the same effect was not apparent in descriptions of culturally-neutral entities (landscapes). Using the same procedures, Study 2 found that the cultural representations of biculturals with low levels of Bicultural Identity Integration (BII; or biculturals with conflicted cultural identities) were more cognitively complex than that of biculturals with high BII (biculturals with compatible cultural identities). This work shows that biculturalism and BII have meaningful cognitive consequences; further it suggests that exposure to more than one culture increases individuals’ ability to detect, process, and organize everyday cultural meaning, highlighting the potential benefits of multiculturalism.

Globalization and the growing dynamics in international relations require a focus on culture and its opportunities to enrich and expand the content of foreign policy programs. The use of the capacities of culture and its transformation into an element of foreign policy does not mean simplification of the specific and unique character of culture but it is more an approach for more complete distribution and accumulation of additional resources in its development. The link between culture and government is strengthened by the competence of cultural diplomacy. In the age of globalization, the challenges have become much greater, especially when it comes to countries where prejudices against another culture are part of the social order. How can culture and cultural diplomacy shape domestic and international politics and credibly impose their national identity on the rest of the world? Hence, the main goal of this research is to define the role of cultural diplomacy in globalization and its contribution to resolving potential cultural conflicts that arise as a product of globalization. Several issues will be explored. Are there any positive or negative effects of globalization on cultural diplomacy? Can the melting of cultures and the cultural identity of the individual be a potential indicator of conflict? And what can cultural diplomacy do about it? The methods of analysis, follow-up and interpretation will be used in the preparation of the content of the paper. Image Captioning generates descriptive sentences from images using Vision-Language Pre-trained models (VLPs) such as BLIP, which has improved greatly. However, current methods lack the generation of detailed descriptive captions for the cultural elements depicted in the images, such as the traditional clothing worn by people from Asian cultural groups. In this paper, we propose a new framework, Culturally-aware Image Captioning (CIC), that generates captions and describes cultural elements extracted from cultural visual elements in images representing cultures. Inspired by methods combining visual modality and Large Language Models (LLMs) through appropriate prompts, our framework (1) generates questions based on cultural categories from images, (2) extracts cultural visual elements from Visual Question Answering (VQA) using generated questions, and (3) generates culturally-aware captions using LLMs with the prompts. Our human evaluation conducted on 45 participants from 4 different cultural groups with a high understanding of the corresponding culture shows that our proposed framework generates more culturally descriptive captions when compared to the image captioning baseline based on VLPs. Fortresses are monuments of common European history, they mirror the past into the present, connect cultures and offer deep insights into the historical conflicts. Fortified monuments are part of what makes Europe unique and attractive. This cultural heritage has to be preserved and made accessible for the culture tourism at the same time. The Iberian fortified heritage has big potential for new culture touristic topics and travel routes away from mass tourism. Therefore, cultural routes are a useful instrument. The European Culture Route Fortified Monuments –FORTE CULTURA®– is the European umbrella brand for fortress tourism. It offers useful instruments for international marketing of fortified monuments. The implementation of the attractive architectura militaris of the Iberian Peninsula into the culture route FORTE CULTURA® makes it possible to network this culture asset touristically, make it visible and experienceable on international tourism markets and market it Europe-wide. By implementing a new touristic regional brand “FORTE CULTURA – Iberian Fortified Heritage” the qualified culture tourism will be addressed. This supports a balance between over and under presented monuments and extends the sphere of activity of local actors onto whole Europe.

The article is devoted to the importance of incorporating of a foreign culture learning, acquiring cross-cultural communication and cultural awareness skills in a foreign language teaching. The authors point out that teaching culture in foreign language teaching context should include cultural knowledge, cultural values, cultural skills and behavior. The author also emphasize that attitudes to teaching culture in the process of foreign language teaching involve, on the one side, considering teaching culture as teaching the fifth language skill along with speaking, listening, reading and writing, implying teaching cultural sensitivity and cultural awareness or the behavior in certain cultural situations, and on the other side, regarding language as social practice being defined by culture in which culture becomes the core of language teaching with cultural awareness viewed as enabling language proficiency. Cultural awareness is the foundation of communication; it helps to understand cultural values, beliefs, and perceptions of the other culture. Training of both bilingual and bicultural students at higher educational institutions is of primary significance. Intercultural awareness presumes a number of skills, improving students’ native culture and other cultures’ awareness and understanding. The authors come to the conclusion that intercultural awareness skills imply overcoming misinterpretations and accepting differences.

În lingvistica actuală a devenit deja axiomatic faptul că fiecare limbă naturală reflectă un anumit mod de percepție/conceptualizare și creează propria „imagine” a lumii. Modul în care emoţiile îşi găsesc reprezentarea lingvistică oglindește un model/grilă de conceptualizare a experienţei afective specifice unei culturi. Or, aceeaşi emoţie poate fi experimentată diferit în două culturi diferite sau în cadrul aceleiaşi culturi, putând fi, deci, obiectul unor variaţii interculturale şi intra-culturale, diacronice şi diatopice. Ca metodologie de cercetare, pentru relevarea specificului românesc al formelor de manifestare lingvistică a afectelor, în cazul de față FRICĂ, am apelat la date obținute din analiza unităților discursului repetat ‒ proverbe și zicători, frazeologisme, expresii românești – care reprezintă un cod al culturii române, pe baza actualizării lor într-un corpus reprezentativ, care include circa 180 de unități, un set de surse „credibile”, relevante şi reprezentative, care să reflecte emoțiile şi modalităţile de expresie afectivă specifice spaţiului cultural român.

Culture is a multifaceted, complex process which consists of knowledge, art, morals, customs, skills and habits. Based on this point of view of Tylor, we can say that the culture is the human in the society, his learning styles and the technical or artistic products that originate from these learning styles, in other words, the content. In antropology it is argued that when the concept of culture is considered as a component in a social system, the combination of the social and cultural areas form the socio-cultural system. Approaches that handle culture within the socio-cultural system are functionalism (Malinowski), structural-functionalism (Radliffe-Brown), historical-extensionist (Kluckhohn, Krober), environmental adaptive (White), while the approaches that treat culture as a system of thought are cognitive (Goodenough), structural (Levi Strauss) and symbolic (Geertz) approaches. In addition to these approaches that evaluate cultures specific to communities, another definition is made according to the learning time: Margeret Mead, Cofigurative Culture. In order to evaluate today’s societies in terms of culture, we are observing a new culture which has cofigurative features under the influence of convergent technologies (mobile, cloud technology, robots, virtual reality): Digital Culture. This study aims to discuss the characteristics of the digital culture, which is observed after the theoretic approaches that define different cultures in cross-cultural communication (Hofstede’s Cultural Dimension and Cofigurative Culture) and called as network society by Manual Castells and accelerated during the Covid19 pandemic, in other words the common communication culture. Common cultural features will be studied through methods of semiology and text analysis upon digital contents which are starting to take hold of cross-cultural communication, a comparison between cross-cultural communication and communicative ecology will be made, the alteration in the cultural features of the society will be examined via visual and written findings obtained.

The core values of traditional Chinese Confucian culture such as “five virtues”, “five cardinal relationships”, and the thought of “golden mean” exert significant influence on East Asian culture, including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cultures. In recent years, with the rapid development of the studies of cultural psychology in East Asian cultural circles, it is necessary to conduct the theoretical constructs to integrate the common psychological characteristics in East Asian cultural circle. The theoretical constructs of East Asian Cultural Psychology regard the impacts of traditional Confucian culture on East Asian culture and the individual as its core, and focus on self-construal, self-esteem, self-enhancement, collectivism, the differences of relationship and class, and the thinking of “golden mean” among the East Asians as the key constructs of the theoretical framework.

Geopark networks are expanding globally, with the main purpose to protect geoheritage. In many places of the world geopark sites are associated with local cultural heritage and indigenous people. These links sometimes are synergistic, whereby geoparks serve as important protected areas that allow for preservation of important cultural objects and even support livelihoods of indigenous people. However, in some cases geopark development is perceived negatively by local communities and might have potentially damaging effects on local culture. Geopark networks are likely to expand and may have important contribution to local culture preservation. However, in order to successfully implement new geoparks it is important to understand factors contributing to their positive effects on local cultures and the ways to address potential conflict areas. In this article we critically evaluate these factors, considering both synergies and conflicts, and propose recommendations for new geopark siting and management that could help to maximise their contribution to cultural conservation and development.
