Streszczenie:
The paper presents an analysis of user tasks in the conceptual models, with an overview of the objectives and functionsof the catalogue from Cutter to the International Cataloguing Principles, a critical reflection on user tasks and a proposalfor a rethinking of these. The user tasks as presented in the conceptual models present critical aspects, in particular theydo not bring out some important aspects concerning the users’ motivations for searches and the users’ competences. Thepresentation of some critical aspects of user Ttasks is followed by an initial proposal for a more complex reflection on howusers use catalogues to carry out searches of different kinds.

From July 9 to 11, 2001, 50 researchers from the fields of climate dynamics and stochastic analysis met in Chorin, Germany, to discuss the idea of stochastic models of climate. The present issue of Stochastics and Dynamics collects several papers from this meeting. In this introduction to the volume, the idea of simple conceptual stochastic climate models is introduced amd recent results in the mathematically rigorous development and analysis of such models are reviewed. As well, a brief overview of the application of ideas from stochastic dynamics to simple models of the climate system is given.

Streszczenie:
The essence of emergency medical assistance management comprise: accident and disease prevention, preparation to act in case of accident or disease, quick response and treatment. The point of entire emergency assistance management is to reduce the number of deaths and disabil ty. The purpose of research is to review the components of emergency medical assistance, generalise and teoretically compare the emergency medical assistance management models, which are used worldwide. For evaluation of emergency medical assistance structure, there are used systematic given practice regulating documentation analysis, general and logical analysis of scientific publications. Seeking to ascertain an amount of emergency consultative assistance and to predict a tendency of development there are used statistical processing of data, comparison and summation. It were observed, that during 2009–2013 years, the amount of emergency consultative assistance increased but volume of specialized emergency consultative assistance decreased. Anglo-american and Franco- german model suitability in Lithuanian health care system depends on complexity or particularity of accidents, availablility of human resources and also respective infrastructure.

Streszczenie:
Abstract The complex nature of the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is often simplified through the use of conceptual models, each of which offers a different perspective on the ocean–atmosphere feedbacks underpinning the ENSO cycle. One theory, the unified oscillator, combines a variety of conceptual frameworks in the form of a coupled system of delay differential equations. The system produces a self-sustained oscillation on interannual time scales. While the unified oscillator is assumed to provide a more complete conceptual framework of ENSO behaviors than the models it incorporates, its formulation and performance have not been systematically assessed. This paper investigates the accuracy of the unified oscillator through its ability to replicate the ENSO cycle modeled by flux-forced output from the Australian Community Climate and Earth-System Simulator Ocean Model (ACCESS-OM). The anomalous sea surface temperature equation reproduces the main features of the corresponding tendency modeled by ACCESS-OM reasonably well. However, the remaining equations for the thermocline depth anomaly and zonal wind stress anomalies are unable to accurately replicate the corresponding tendencies in ACCESS-OM. Modifications to the unified oscillator, including a diagnostic form of the zonal wind stress anomaly equations, improve its ability to emulate simulated ENSO tendencies. Despite these improvements, the unified oscillator model is less adept than the delayed oscillator model it incorporates in capturing ENSO behavior in ACCESS-OM, bringing into question its usefulness as a unifying ENSO framework.

Identifiers are numeric or alphanumeric strings of characters permanently and uniquely associated with a resource to ensure stable access to it and its metadata. They play a fundamental role in the semantic web as they guarantee interoperability between different systems. Since their emergence, libraries and other institutions have been aware of their importance in data quality control processes, for the realization of authority control and universal bibliographic control, and have dedicated specific chapters for their registration within conceptual models, cataloguing standards and have provided specific fields in cataloguing formats.

Streszczenie:
Abstract Business models have been developed to contribute to rural economic development, being used to create, deliver and capture economic and social value. The aim of this paper is to conceptualize the context of developing business models in rural areas, how these have evolved over time and what is the impact on future strategies in community development based on rural entrepreneurship. The increasing focus and attention on business model innovation has been seen among researchers in the last two decades, and several studies have been conducted to define the concept of business modeling. However, variations in business model definitions are noticeable and opinions regarding its components, structure and relationships inside a business vary as well. The literature review provided significant definitions on the key concepts on business models in rural entrepreneurship. The results of the research are to contribute in developing a framework on the understanding of various terms, such as business model, rural entrepreneurship, community development, and innovative entrepreneurship, with reference to shedding some light on conceptual meaning, purpose, methodology and scope of application. Capturing the existing trends in economic development in rural areas could be performed, based on the literature reviewed in this paper, in order to analyze the potential for diversification of economic activities, by finding the business models already implemented in the rural communities and measuring the impact they had on community development. In this way, a structure for a business model and an emphasis on business opportunities for the rural areas of interest could be developed.

Streszczenie:
As the location choice of an individual determines his or her feasible consumption set, it can be modelled as a two-stage procedure. First, the individual finds an optimal consumption bundle for each one of the feasible consumption sets that correspond to the locations considered. Second, he or she compares the resulting location-specific optimal utility levels and chooses a location for which the optimal utility level is a maximum. It is imagined that an observer applies costless sampling of the feasible consumption sets involved and records the individual's utility level associated with each trial. As the sample can be arbitrarily large, the asymptotic theory of extremes may be used in order to compute the probability that the consumption bundle associated with the highest overall utility level will correspond to any particular location. The way in which different sampling designs generate different choice probability models either in discrete or in continuous geographical space is explained. The multinomial logit model emerges when perfectly even sampling is applied on a discrete spatial choice set.
