AbstractArchaeology is not just about writing reports and interpreting ancient societies and their social structures, but it is also a process which should aim at the creation of a clear communicative message to the general public. Thus, archaeologists should be aware of every possible medium of communication – verbal, written, visual, sound – to express re-constructions of ancient pasts. In this essay I express some ideas about how archaeologists could collaborate with experts, for example theatre directors, in defining artistic way of communicating the past. Finally, I focus on the relationship between academia and fringe archaeology and I look into the political role of archaeologists in modern society.

AbstractIn human-centered design, user research drives design decisions by providing an understanding of end users. In practice, different people, teams, or even companies manage each step of the design process, making communication of user research results a critical activity. Based on an empirical study of current methods used by experts, this paper presents strategies for effectively communicating user research findings across organizational or corporate boundaries. To build researcher–client relationships, understand both user and client needs, and overcome institutional inertia, this paper proposes viewing user research clients asusersof user research outcomes. This reframing of the crafting of communication across boundaries as a parallel internal human-centered design process we refer to as adouble ethnography.

Purpose This paper aims to elaborate the concepts of boundary subjects and boundary objects in constructing and communicating relevant accounting facts for managing product development (PD). Boundary subjects as reflective actors benefit effective accounting enactment, by building a shared understanding about different actors’ roles and information needs, and by helping to respond to these needs with new boundary objects. Design/methodology/approach The paper uses a longitudinal interventionist case study of a machinery manufacturer. The focus of this case study was the production ramp-up phase at the end of a PD program. Different actors’ needs were first collected and elaborated by interventionist researchers (boundary subjects). Then accounting prototypes (boundary objects) provided new means of communication. Findings The findings show that dealing with boundaries is crucial in accounting development. The role of boundary subjects was fundamental in the process of choosing, constructing, elaborating and communicating accounting facts. During this process, accounting prototypes integrated new accounting facts, the boundary subjects mitigated the boundaries and the boundary objects focused and restricted communication about accounting facts. Research limitations/implications The paper tests the pragmatic constructivism approach by examining accounting enactment under uncertainty and ambiguity. The study refines pragmatic constructivism in terms of boundaries, boundary subjects as actors and boundary objects. Practical implications The intentional use of boundary subjects and objects as communication platform could push a more active inclusion of business controllers as active business partners. Originality/value The paper contributes to the literature on accounting development by highlighting the use of boundary subjects and boundary objects as fundamental mechanisms in constructing and communicating accounting facts.

Edited by Louise Marlow, this anthology consists of twelve articles on thehistory of dreams and their interpretation in an array of historical Muslimsettings. A number of well-known hadiths support the idea of ProphetMuhammad communicating with Muslims through dreams, and earlierbooks and articles have established the existence of “a dominant, if notentirely uncontested, tradition of [dream] interpretation” common to muchof the premodern Islamic world (p. 3). The articles address variations on thiscore discourse specific to the cultural, sectarian, and disciplinary orientations of the original actors. Beyond this goal of discursive specificity,Marlow notes two themes as having guided her selection: “the complexprocess of translation whereby a personal visionary experience assumes theform of a literary, narrative account accessible to, and subject to interpretationby, an audience” (p. 9); and the “ways in which the leveling and potentiallysubversive effects of dreams were countered by their integration intohierarchical or normative systems” (p. 8). While the articles are arranged ina roughly chronological order, they are considered here according to theirsociohistorical, literary, and intellectual-historical orientations ...

The emergence and spread of the Internet has led to the fact that the virtual space has become a new source of communication, especially for adolescents, active users. However, such communication differs significantly from real interaction in the absence of various restrictions that affect the quality of communication and can lead to complete disregard of generally accepted moral norms. The purpose of the article is to analyze the features of adolescents ' communication on the Internet and the boundaries of normativity that they tend to cross, as well as the reasons for their violation. The article considers the positive and negative impact of Internet communication on the personality of schoolchildren, communication models, revealing the distinctive features of network interaction of young people and their negative consequences. The problems of compliance with the norms of communication and etiquette are analyzed, which, among other things, can develop into a more aggressive form – cyberbullying. Statistical data on violations of the boundaries of normativity when communicating with young people on the Internet in a number of countries are presented. The main directions of prevention of non-normative interaction of adolescents in the virtual space are highlighted. The study of the peculiarities of communication of adolescents in the digital environment will reveal in more detail the understanding of the causes of the spread of virtual aggression and will be able to contribute to the development of the level of communication culture of young people on the Internet.

Abstract This paper aims to expand the boundaries of public service interpreting and translation (PSIT) and map the still widely unexplored territory of translating and interpreting in ecclesiastical settings. The starting point is the consideration that 21st-century societies are shaped by cross-cultural contact and interaction because of migration flows. Consequently, parishes are culturally and linguistically diverse. In such a context, translation and interpreting services are of utmost importance to ensure the integration of parishioners and preachers in the religious community. I intend to explore some of the realities, needs, and challenges posed by interpreting in ecclesiastical settings in Spain. A mainly qualitative methodology based on discourse analysis is used. Data come from empirical studies on related topics, an open questionnaire, and observation. The study touches on issues relating to the specific communication needs and audience expectations in religious settings, the context dependency of ecclesiastical translation and interpreting, and the interpreter’s role(s) of the interpreter in the religious environment.

These books try to define and draw the boundaries of science communication’s field from both a theoretical and empirical point of view. But do we need to establish it as a distinct research field? For a number of decades, a growing community of scholars and communicators is trying to reply positively to this question, but the need to look outside the disciplinary boundaries, to other academic fields, is still vital.

The article focuses on teachers who want to integrate critical perspectives about business communication into their classes. A course ethos, learning groups, and an introductory activity were used to develop students’ thinking about business and management communication. These strategies encouraged collaborative peer learning in a large bicultural/multicultural lecture environment and developed learning relationships typically found in a small class context. In addition, the activities produced ongoing lecture learning groups in which business students could question their “trained incapacities,” boundaries, and assumptions gained from their experiences of communicating and managing relationships during these activities.

The article examines the problem of the ecological nature of personal boundaries among youth. It is emphasized that personal boundaries separate the inner world of a person from the outside world, from other people, because life is almost impossible without boundaries. It is noted that the optimal boundaries of the individual give the right to openly express their feelings, to be themselves, ensuring the environmental friendliness of the personal space of young people. The psychological boundary is important in the process of interpersonal communication and people's perception of each other. It is highlighted that without clearly defined comfortable boundaries, people experience significant problems in everyday life, in relationships with relatives and friends, colleagues, environment, etc. The author also draws attention to the fact that a person feels well in the environment with normal and healthy personal boundaries. Such a person is able to communicate, enter into relationships, develop and support them. Healthy boundaries are flexible; a person easily understands and determines at what level they is comfortable communicating, and whether they wants this communication at all. A person is able to get closer or, on the contrary, move away if they understand that something is not working out in the relationship. The article contains the conducted empirical research. The results of the correlation analysis confirm the relationship between self-esteem and personal boundaries in adolescence. That means that a person with low self-esteem has a high probability of difficulty distancing themself from other people. According to the results of the empirical research, we determined that the ecology of personal boundaries depends on self-esteem of adolescents. The ecology of personal boundaries is a psychological formation that arises as a result of the interaction or establishment of relationships between the desire to preserve spontaneity and authenticity and the need for social adaptation. A person protects their own ecological space from aggressive invasion attempts.

This has led to many consumers feeling the need to protect theirinformation as businesses request increasingly more personal information duringcommercial transactions. This conceptual paper addresses information privacy as aninter-disciplinary issue that affects relationships at micro, macro and global levels.First at micro level, addressing the value perception of information among consumersand marketers; secondly at macro level, illustrating the role of the government inprotecting information privacy; and thirdly at global level, since the flow of informationplays a major role in eliminating boundaries between countries. Finally, the managerialimplications of information privacy are discussed, concluding that effective customerrelations now require businesses to communicate in ways that make their customersfeel protected.

This paper examines how advanced technology and communication networks are revolutionizing the way university researchers, scientists and industrialists are communicating and working together. In collaborative projects, partners often come from different environments, backgrounds and possibly different regions and countries. Barriers such as geographical remoteness, lack of time in the working day, the cost of travel and differences in culture can seriously hinder regular communication and development work. However the Internet is fast becoming an indispensable international communications tool. It constitutes a resource that is invaluable to the knowledge and technology transfer process. It links over two-thirds of universities and is enabling industry and universities all over the world to develop in new and exciting ways – although there are both opportunities and threats associated with its explosive growth. This paper illustrates how the authors have gained advantage by exploiting current technology to form successful partnerships in this new high-speed ‘no boundaries’ information age.

Copyright problems may inhibit the crucially important work of preserving legacy software. Such software is worthy of study in its own right because it is critical to accessing digital culture and expression. Preservation work is essential for communicating across boundaries of the past and present in a digital era. Software preservationists in the United States have addressed their copyright problems by developing a code of best practices in employing fair use. Their work is an example of how collective action by users of law changes the norms and beliefs about law, which can in turn change the law itself insofar as the law takes account of community norms and practices. The work of creating the code involved facilitators who are communication, information sciences, and legal scholars and practitioners. Thus, the creation of the code is also an example of crossing the boundaries between technology and policy research.

The famous American psychologist and philosopher Willie James claims that science has done many benefits to humanity because it erases or at least shifts the boundaries of understanding many social and natural phenomena, but it has done the least when it comes to overcoming the boundary between think of one and think of another. In fact, communicating with other people is a way for people to overcome the boundaries between themselves and others. Successful communication cannot take place if one person has control over the other or if there is no mutual respect and equality in the relationship itself. In the process of communication, participants encounter many factors that make communication difficult or unsuccessful, some related to the subjects of communication, others related to the climate in the organization, others due to lack of appropriate means of communication, and there are some, which are burdened by stereotypical prejudices, rigid opinions about individuals or situations, distorted notions, hostility to the interlocutor, lack of attention and interest on the part of the interlocutor, neglect of facts, incorrect choice of words – illogical expression. The wrong choice of communication strategies, as well as the habit created by man to draw conclusions based on inaccurate or superficial information are often an obstacle in communication.

Abstract Thanks to the tumultuous development of digital technologies, nowadays we live in a world without boundaries, characterized by liquid communities that meet and collide, sometimes denying mutual recognition. We move in a communicative bulimia where information runs like in a circus where the sense and the value of ‘communicating’ are often lost, fuelling forms of misunderstanding, violence and exclusion that contribute to fuel discomfort and isolation. In the information and knowledge society, communication is increasingly discriminating for emancipation and empowerment of people, organizations, and communities. For this reason, in this essay, we intend to deepen both the evolution of the community’s space through digital technologies and the value and role of the concept of empowerment applied to community development. The essence of the essay is to reflect on its social implications in terms of welfare communities and valorization of the heritage of relational goods that are constitutive of every social and community space.

Hemodynamic simulations are increasingly used to study vascular diseases such as Intracranial Aneurysms (IA) and to further develop treatment options. However, due to limited data, certain aspects must rely on heuristics, especially at the simulation’s distal ends. In the literature, Murray’s Law is often used to model the outflow split based on vessel cross-section area; however, this poses challenges for the communicating arteries in the Circle of Willis (CoW). In this study, we contribute by assessing the impact of Murray’s Law in patient-specific geometries featuring IA at the posterior communication. We simulate different domain extensions representing common modelling choices and establish Full CoW simulations as a baseline to evaluate the effect of these modelling assumptions on hemodynamic indicators, focusing on IA growth and rupture-related factors such as the Wall Shear Stress (WSS) and Oscillatory Shear Index (OSI). Our findings reveal qualitative alterations in hemodynamics when not modeling posterior communication. Comparisons between computing the anterior circulation and computing the whole Circle of Willis reveal that quantitative changes in WSS may reach up to 80%, highlighting the significance of modelling choices in assessing IA risks and treatment strategies.

Communication about technology has long been neglected within the field of science and technology communication. This visual exploratory study focuses on how users can communicate with and about technology in public places through warning signs posted on technological devices. Three broad categories of messages have been identified: bad design, malfunctioning and disciplining users. By analyzing examples within each category, we suggest that studying these communicative situations can be a key to understanding how users are engaged in continuous, elaborate and sometimes even conflicting framing of technological devices (e.g. with regard to their purpose, appropriate uses, shifting boundaries between functioning/malfunctioning); how such framing, in turn, can be used to readjust/realign social behavior and organizational routines.

Language, Communication, MediaGábor SzécsiThe article argues that the expansion of new communication technologies leads to a globally perceptible semantic development. The essence of this is that in the environment of new media, orality and multimediality, which are gaining an increasing role in communication, lead to the image of language in the sense of meaning, and to the development of new language usage habits that determine both the process of thinking and the structure of consciousness. These language usage habits significantly contribute to the rapid changes in community roles associated with multi-channel communication, the convergence of different community languages and communication situations, the blurring of community boundaries, i.e. the mediatization of communities. What's more, the birth of the new concept of community and the creation ofnew community forms is also the source of the language that is transforming in the medium of new media, whose figurative nature leaves deep traces in the structure of the consciousness of the communicating person, in his image of himself and the community relations that determine his communicative actions. As I try to highlight in this essay, all of this presupposes the development of hitherto unknown patterns of linguistic creativity. Using language games, abbreviations, humor, picture-word combinations, which are becoming more and more common tools with the use of new communication technologies, everyday language users communicate with each other as creative designers of language meaning. Linguistic creativity becomes acommunity-forming phenomenon of everyday language use.

Qualitative content analysis was utilized. Virtual art classes can encourage students to look into themselves and become more aware of themselves. Communicating and feeling connected to others are critical for students in online settings. As demonstrated in our course design, connectivity between students and instructors can be facilitated through a multilayered structure, providing for more efficient communication. This study also found blurred boundaries between real and virtual learning environments. As for its content, such communication is connected with goals and objectives of their professional work: professional training of students as future specialists and social actors. By its nature, professional communication is a specific activity: “activity in activity”. The key means of its implementation is communicative-speaking competence of communicating actors. In the broad sense, communicative-speaking competence is specialists’ integral ability to use verbal interactions; it is a defining psychological tool for their communicative-speaking activities. The article states that communicative-speaking competence is a leading constituent in teachers’ professional competence because of its importance for social practice and its pedagogical significance for establishing of effective and psychologically equal interactions between teachers and their students. The model of communicative-speech competence, created by us during researching, unites three main groups of skills and abilities: communicative-speaking, social-perceptual and interactive, which are its main structural components. They are characterized by a number of characteristics: they are self-consistent, interdependent and hierarchically organized. As communicative means creating a psychic link between interlocutors, they are of a communicative nature as for their content and form. Communicative-speaking competence also has three integral characteristics determining quality of university teachers’ professional interactions: didactic intention, creative orientation and pedagogical flexibility. The notion on “professional speaking” or “professional language”, proposed by O.O. Leontiev, means that a teacher possesses thesaurus common with other communicants (a similar system of language, concepts, semantic meanings); has correct, figurative, emotional, stylistically determined speech; corresponding facial expressions, gesticulation, kinetics; numerous verbal and non-verbal strategies and tactics, united in the communicative aspect of interactions. Such “professional language” of a specialist in science and education means professional interactions between teachers and students and it is implemented as an intellectual creative activity associated with “intellectual” communication and including “emotional intelligence”. “Intellectual” verbal communication within the educational process means economical, but complete and systematic, transfer of knowledge from its carriers to future specialists. The performed research has determined regularities and peculiarities of communicative-speaking competence of professionals in sociological sciences depending on a number of objective and subjective factors: specialists’ ages, their personality, general and special education, compulsory nature of interactions, constant training, a degree of taking into account of modern requirements to a specific profession and, finally, a type of their leading activity.

With an ever-increasing development of internet communications, human reactions have interred a new phase. The results of these communications are a most significant matter considered by the sociologists. Using the internet is developing and forms a significant part of individuals` lives. The advantages and disadvantages of this easiness in communicating and traveling through boundaries should be considered. Breaking the norms happened in the light of these reactions should be discussed, also increasing in awareness and availability to information, joining to global information networks and communication is another face of this placeless and timelessness. This contrasting face challenges the position of cyber space in the social communications, a challenge of which there is no escape by the society. In this research it is an attempt to criticize this challenge through criticizing the position of internet and to consider the role of social networks. We suppose that it is not possible to neglect the advantages of virtual space in developing a new level of human occasions but via this method lack of proper awareness in principle using of it results in some problems which should be covered by a proper training and comprehensive informing. Online spaces penetrate in human`s life in an extended way and it is a good opportunity to have good use from social networks as the basic condition. The results of this presence form reaction in individuals which will be considered in the present study.

AbstractThe European Union (EU) has become an important global actor in numerous areas. It is an economic giant, a key actor in global trade and trade negotiations. It leads talks on environment and it is the biggest provider of assistance to the developing world. It is the largest contributor to the United Nations budget and its peacekeeping missions are present in all major conflicts. With such prominent global presence, it would seem that when the EU speaks, the world listens. This paper assesses whether new public communicative spaces are emerging between the European Union and the rest of the world, including Australia. It first argues that supranational developments in the EU have encouraged an important shift in which international political communication is no longer equated with the boundaries of the nation state. It goes on to illustrate how the emergent Euro-polity is developing an important strategy for communication not only with its own Member States and their citizens but also with the world. To test how the new communication environment is received outside the EU, encounters of the Australian media with the European Union are analysed. The results tend to confirm the European Union’s existing fears of being largely unheard.

AbstractThis article examines International Sign (IS), a mode of signed cross-linguistic communication, in the context of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD). I contend that the WFD General Assembly's language policy, which bans interpreters and requires that delegates use IS, formalizes the commonsense deaf notion that what is particular about deaf people is their capacity for connecting across differences, rooted in and materialized through the ability to use sign across language boundaries. While such an ability has been explained primarily in terms of the affordances of the visual-gestural modality, this article foregrounds and theorizes the irreducibly relational dimensions of linguistic commensuration. I argue that communicating in IS relies on and produces mutual moral orientation among signers, and that ultimately, it is the labor involved in using IS that deaf people value and that the WFD General Assembly institutionalizes. AbstractIn the field of inter-religious (and intercultural) hermeneutics there are two different streams of interpretation. There is a group who sees inter-religious hermeneutics as the discipline of looking at the sacred texts in an inter-religious perspective. Some interpret this as the reinterpretation of the Christian scriptures in the perspective of other traditions, whilst others see inter-religious hermeneutics as those methods of hermeneutics which have received support across the religious spectrum. And there is a group who sees inter-religious hermeneutics as a communication theory, the art of communicating across religious (and cultural) boundaries. Both groups however start from the context of shared humanity and demands a radical openness for the other in his/her religious and cultural context. This shared humanity inevitably then also leads to a renewed reflection on and interpretation of the religious texts with the other in mind.

Abstract As the world’s urban poor increase in numbers, they become acutely vulnerable to hazards from extreme weather events. On 8 November 2013, Typhoon Haiyan struck the province of Leyte, Philippines, with casualties numbering in the thousands, largely because of the ensuing storm surge that swept the coastal communities. This study investigates the role and dynamics of risk communication in these events, specifically examining the organizational processing of text within a complex institutional milieu. The authors show how the risk communication process failed to convey meaningful information about the predicted storm surge, transmitting and retransmitting the same routine text instead of communicating authentic messages in earnest. The key insight is that, rather than focus solely on the verbatim transmission of a scripted text, risk communication needs to employ various modes of translation and feedback signals across organizational and institutional boundaries. Adaptation will require overcoming organizational rigidities in order to craft proportionate responses to extreme weather events that may lie outside personal and institutional memory. Future work should build upon the textual processing approach to risk communication, expanding it into a comprehensive relational model of environmental cognition.

This paper analyses peer review deliberations in four evaluation panels that differ in terms of scope and disciplinary heterogeneity. Based on evaluation reports and discussions with panel members, it illustrates a variety of ways in which reviewers bridge their epistemological differences and achieve consensus on the quality of research proposals. The analysis demonstrates that peer review panels are forums in which communication across disciplinary boundaries occurs and interdisciplinary judgments arise. At the same time, disciplinary gate-keeping and incommensurabilities may set limits on such communication. The comparison of deliberative processes sheds light on how collective judgments are shaped and constrained by the disciplinary set-up of the panels in which the reviewers operate and in which the intersubjective dynamics of the deliberations unfold. Based on these findings, the paper considers conditions that may enhance disciplinary interaction and complementary judgments in the peer review of proposals, and thereby expands the prospects for interdisciplinary research.

This article analyses chosen Apichatpong’s short films, organized in two thematic areas, with reference to the director’s primary interest in communicating about post-traumatic memory. The first part is dedicated to ghostly presences, their meanings and depictions. Apichatpong’s ghosts derive from the light penetrating the surface to human-shape projections or figments of imagination. This part of the analysis will refer to Derrida’s hauntology concept and its dissemination in such films as A Letter to Uncle Boonmee (2009) or Apichatpong’s early project Haunted Houses (2001). In the following part of the article, I will focus on the destruction of memory, symbolized by the images of fire, burning objects or split narrative structures. Here I will analyse films such as Blue (2018) and Ashes (2012), pointing out similar semiotic references in Apichatpong’s feature films. The analysis presented is accompanied by the observation of connections between Apichatpong’s feature films and short films, with a particular emphasis on his new short projects. My reflection on the topic was built upon the audio-visual resources, including interviews and records from exhibitions, as well as subject literature in English, Polish and Japanese.

Language is formed in the context of culture; on the other hand, the culture of a society is reflected in the language's mirror. Language has a cultural backbone as a communication tool. This cultural backing is in fact the basis for the emergence of vocabulary and its conceptual boundaries, as well as the decisive factor in the image and image reflected in the ords and proverbs. Because different ethnic groups have different cultures, there are problems on the path to the relationship between nations and the mutual understanding of languages. The methods of translating proverbs and synopsis as part of language and culture play a significant role in communicating, despite the fact that some cultural reflections sometimes apply in the above interpretations because of the inappropriateness of the methods of translating neglected. Since one of the goals of translation is to create and promote communication between cultures, ignoring the cultural aspects of texts in translation can reduce the scientific and cultural values of translated works. The present paper seeks to explain this problem and provide some solutions.

Abstract: This study adopts a gender-sensitive perspective to examine Chinese diplomatic presences and practices in cyberspace. By analysing the gender issues and political communication styles adopted by two Chinese high-profile diplomats, Hua Chunying and Zhao Lijian, this article addresses whether the recent inclusion of women in China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the potential to challenge the patriarchal structure of diplomacy that usually devalues femininity in diplomatic norms and practices. A content analysis of sampled tweets (N=1,822) reveals that despite adopting a gender-balanced issue focus, Hua Chunying used minimal feminine communication patterns and exhibited masculine traits of assertiveness, self-reliance, and personal and emotional restraint, communicating in a more masculine manner than her male colleague, Zhao Lijian. Drawing from the findings, the authors propose that Chinese diplomats are navigating multiple structural and contextual boundaries, which emerge at the intersection of masculine norms and practices in diplomacy and China’s increasingly proactive stance on foreign affairs. They also highlight the complexity of the rhetorical effects of having female diplomats on Chinese diplomacy.

Deep neck spaces are regions of loose connective tissue present between three layers of deep cervical fascia, namely, superficial, middle, and deep layers. The investing layer is the superficial layer, the pre-tracheal layer is the intermediate layer, and the prevertebral layer is the deep layer. Deep neck space infection (DNI) is defined as an infection in the potential spaces and actual fascial planes of the neck. Spread of infection occurs along communicating fascial boundaries. These deep neck spaces may be further classified into 3 anatomic groups, relative to the hyoid bone: Those located above the level of the hyoid, those that involve the entire length of the neck, those located below the level of hyoid. The patterns of infection may include abscess formation, cellulitis, and necrotizing fasciitis. Antibiotics and surgical drainage form the mainstay of treatment. There are some spaces in the neck present between these layers of deep cervical fascia. These deep neck spaces are filled with loose connective tissue. Deep neck space infection involves the spaces and fascial planes of the neck. Spread of infection occurs along communicating fascial boundaries after overcoming the natural resistance of the fascial planes. With relation to the hyoid bone, these deep neck spaces are further classified as follows: 1. Spaces above the level of the hyoid bone (peritonsillar, submandibular, parapharyngeal, masticator, buccal, and parotid spaces). 2. Spaces that involve the entire length of the neck (retropharyngeal, prevertebral, and carotid spaces). 3. Spaces located below the level of hyoid bone (anterior visceral or pre - tracheal space). Infection may present either as abscess, cellulitis, or necrotizing fasciitis. The mainstay of the management are antibiotics and surgical drainage.

Communicating scientific endeavors in a manner accessible to researchers, managers, and the public alike is an important, yet often neglected, aspect of conducting studies. For research carried out on America’s public lands, including the National Park Service’s, this communication is even more important, as we are all owners and stewards of these magnificent ecological and cultural landscapes. This summer, I worked with The Greater Yellowstone Science Learning Center, Grand Teton National Park, and researchers from across the country to augment and enhance the information about current park studies and resource status reports available to the Science Learning Center’s website visitors. This addition of pertinent information to the website is of value to all those interested in the socio-ecological landscapes the National Park Service is tasked to conserve, scientific studies occurring in Grand Teton National Park, and potential implications of these studies and findings beyond park boundaries. The additions not only reach those who are currently invested in stewardship of our national parks, but also potential stewards with whom we have the unique opportunity to communicate with digitally, vastly expanding science communication and involvement opportunities.
