प्रस्तुत आलेख भानुभक्त पोखरेलको काव्यकारितासँग सम्बन्धित छ । यसमा कवि पोखरेलको सङ्क्षिप्त परिचय, उनका प्रकाशित कृति तथा सम्पादनको चर्चा गर्नुका साथै उनका कवितामा व्यक्त विषयवस्तुगत, भावगत र शैलीगत ढाँचामा देखिने विविध प्रवृत्तिहरू, बिम्बप्रतीक योजना, छन्द एवम् लयविधान तथा उनको भाषाशैलीका सम्बन्धमा समीक्षा गरिएको छ । त्यसै गरी उनको ‘ढुङ्काको टुसो’ कविता सङ्ग्रहअन्तर्गत समाविष्ट पचास वटा कविताहरूलाई रचनाकाल क्रमगत ६ समूहमा राखेर विभिन्न कोणहरूबाट सङ्क्षिप्त विवेचना गरिएको छ । यस क्रममा पोखरेलका प्रारम्भिक कविताहरूमा रोमान्टिक भावधारा सल्बलाएको र त्यसपछिका कविताहरूमा उनले आफ्ना जीवनवादी तथा कर्मवादी चिन्तन, साहित्यकला सम्बन्धी आफ्ना सिर्जन मान्यता, प्रकृतिप्रेम, देशप्रेम, राजनीतिक बेथिति, सामाजिक विकृति, विसङ्गति, अन्याय, अत्याचार, भ्रष्टाचार, पश्चिमी संस्कृतिको छाडा प्रवृत्ति तथा मानवीय मूल्यमान्यताको ह्रासप्रति कठोर व्यङ्ग्य गरेका अनि उत्तरवर्ती कविताहरूमा नेपालीहरूको वीरताको गुणगान, शान्तिको कामना, काव्यकवितासम्बन्धी आफ्ना मान्यताहरूमा प्रौढता र स्पष्ट चिन्तन तथा कविताहरूमा परिष्कार, परिमार्जनतर्फ संशोधन परिमार्जनतर्फ पोखरेल आकर्षित देखिएका छन् भन्ने निष्कर्ष निकालिएको छ ।

Introduction: A reviewer of my book Yadu Nath Khanal: Jivani ra Vichar (Yadu Nath Khanal: Life and Thoughts) wrote: “Prithvi Narayan Shah unified Nepal, Bhanubhakta Acharya standardised Nepali language and Yadu Nath Khanal intellectualised Nepal’s foreign policy”. Indeed Professor Yadu Nath Khanal made outstanding contributions in explaining Nepal’s foreign policy to the international community in modern terminology. His thoughts on Nepal, Nepali literature and Nepal’s foreign policy are compiled in a book Nepal’s Non-Isolationist Foreign Policy (Kathmandu: Satyal Prakashan, 2000) that has 100 articles divided into five sections. Professor Khanal was a scholar, literary critic and successful practitioner as well as a thinker of Nepal’s foreign policy. But above all, he was an intellectual par excellence. I will begin this biographical sketch of Professor Khanal with his birth and academic career and conclude it with an extract from Professor Kamal P. Malla (1936-2018), himself a great scholar, who described Professor Khanal as “an intellectual in the corridors of power”.

This study entitled “Use of ICT in conic section: An experimental study” is an experimental research. ICT can be applied in conic sections which include parabola, ellipse, hyperbola, circle etc. For graphics and visualisation, geometric modelling, optics and imaging, satellite orbits, signal processing, engineering design, architectural design; ICT is used. The objectives of the study was “to compare the achievement of students taught by using ICT software and conventional teaching method while teaching conic section of grade XII.” The research was based on Vigotski’s constructivist view of learning. A pre-test and post-test of quasi-experimental research design was used to find the students’ achievement after experiment. Conventional sampling were used and two sections of Aadikavi bhanubhakta Secondary School were selected. Two sections were observed as Section ‘A’ of class XII was used for conventional group and section ‘B’ was used for experimental group. The school is located in Vyas Municipality ward no.1. There 28 students in section ‘A’ and 28 students in section ‘B’. For data collection, researcher used MAT. The result of Mathematics Achievement Test indicated that there was a significant difference between the average achievement of students taught by using ICT software and without using ICT software on post-test. The finding illustrated that the students in the experimental group performed better when using ICT software like Geogebra and Mathematica than the control group with the conventional method.
