Candi Bahal is one of the Vajrayana Buddhist temples located in Bahal Village, Padang Bolak District, Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra. Candi Bahal was founded by Rajendra Cola I from Tamil India which is estimated to be thousands of years old at that time. The uniqueness of Candi Bahal is the shape of the Candi Bahal roof which is about 2.5 m high, like a cake on a square saucer with flower carvings around the edge of the Temple roof. Candi Bahal was created as a motif on men's shirts. The process of creating this work uses a theoretical basis which includes form, function, motif, color, aesthetics and creation. The method used in the embodiment of the work starts from exploring data collection about the Candi Bahal such as searching for library sources or looking directly at it. Designing is putting ideas into design that will be realized. The embodiment stage is the process of realizing the work that was previously designed, using the main ingredients of primisisma cotton and remazol dyes and using written batik techniques and sewing techniques. The work created is a shirt with size L. In the creation of this work, the Candi Bahal motif was made by adding isen-isen and creating the size of the temple and adding additional motifs such as bricks, reliefs, makara and gecko motifs. The creation of this work uses the colors red, green, black, white and golden yellow. The presentation of the work will be carried out in the form of displays and fashion shows. The results of the creation of this work are three shirts with the titles merangkul, keberanian, keindahan.

<p class="Default">Sebagian besar dari anak-anak menganggap bahwa matematika merupakan suatu hal yang abstrak tidak banyak digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Anak-anak di desa Bahal belajar matematika hanya menggunakan sumber buku, tidak menyadari bahwa matematika dapat dipelajari dengan memanfaatkan apa yang tersedia dilingkungan, seperti halnya Candi. Etnomatematika merupakan suatu pembelajaran yang mengantarkan anak-anak untuk lebih memahami materi matematika. Belajar matematika dengan memanfaatkan Candi Bahal yang merupakan salah satu bagian dari etnomatematika. Berdasarkan ini dilakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat belajar matematika untuk membantu guru dalam memahami dari etnomatematika dan membantu anak-anak dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis etnomatematika. Metode pengabdian menggunakan penelitian <em>participatory action research </em>(PAR). Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pendampingan terhadap guru SD Negeri 101660 Bahal dan anak-anak di desa Bahal memberikan hasil yang baik. Dengan perubahan pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru terhadap etnomatematika. Dapat membantu anak-anak dalam belajar persegi Panjang, busur sangkar dan balok. Dari pengalaman anak-anak dalam belajar matematika berbasis etnomatematika menumbuhkan cinta anak-anak terhadap matematika.</p>

Situs percandian Bahal di Padang Lawas Utara yang terdiri dari tiga kompleks yang berdekatan memberikan gambaran pola tata spasial yang terkait dengan lingkungannya. Masing-masing kompleks percandian memiliki tata spasial yang berbeda karena jumlah massa yang berbeda. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji tata spasial kompleks percandian Bahal I, II dan III serta menganalisis keterkaitannya dengan karakteristik candi. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan melalui kegiatan observasi, pengukuran, penggambaran dan wawancara di lapangan. Layout candi Bahal I, II dan III membentuk konfigurasi massa dan spasial yang jelas. Ketiga kompleks percandian tersebut menunjukkan axis yang kuat serta hierarkhi yang jelas berdasarkan pada jumlah massa candi Perwara dan dimensi candi utama. Axis yang terbentuk dari pola tata spasial telah mempertegas candi sebagai bangunan suci yang memiliki formalitas dan keseimbangan yang sangat kuat.

Corn husk which has a texture that is strong enough, durable, economical, and also unique can be used as raw material to be created as a work of art such as decoration. decorative walls and flowers. So that the people in Bahal Gajah village need guidance to reduce waste to be used as wall decorations and also ornamental flowers. ABSTRAKProduk Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah yang dihasilkan oleh masyarakat di Desa Bahal Gajah salah satunya adalah membuat produk hiasan dinding dan bunga yang terbuat dari limbah kulit jagung yang dilakukan oleh para pemuda – pemudi dimana salah satu sektor penghasilan terbesar di Desa Bahal Gajah adalah bertani jagung. Banyak kendala yang dihadapi terutama dalam hal pemasaran produk Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah sehingga masih kurang maksimal dalam hal penjualan, mereka biasanya hanya menjual produknya di pasar dengan membuka lapak. Strategi pemasaran yang dijadikan solusi adalah dengan memanfaatkan teknologi yang akan menjadi kekuatan dalam pemasaran produk yang dihasilkan. Oleh sebab itu kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan media sosial instagram untuk pemasaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa demonstrasi dan praktek langsung. Harapan dari dilakukan nya kegiatan ini dapat merubah wawasan pemuda - pemudi agar dapat melakukan pemasaran melalui media sosial instagram. Kata kunci: pemanfaatan teknologi; media social; pendampingan. ABSTRACTOne of the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises products produced by the community in Bahal Gajah village is making wall and flower decoration products made from corn husk waste which is carried out by young people where one of the biggest income sectors in Bahal Gajah village is corn farming. Many obstacles are faced, especially in terms of marketing pro Micro Small and Medium Enterprises pducts so that they are still not optimal in terms of sales, they usually only sell their products in the market by opening stalls. The marketing strategy used as a solution is to utilize technology that will be a strength in marketing the resulting product. Therefore, this service activity aims to utilize Instagram social media for marketing. The method used in this service activity is in the form of demonstration and direct practice. It is hoped that this activity can change the insight of young people so that they can do marketing through social media Instagram. Keywords: technology utilization; social media; accompaniment.

The new variety of Mentha arvensis named as ‘CIM-Vishisht’ was developed through half sib progeny selection of the menthol mint cultivar, ‘Shivalik’. The new variety has the potential of yielding 60 Kg/ha of essential oil which is rich in pulegone (65–68%) and the character is found stable over generations. The plant morphology of this new variety is distinct with medium height, smaller pale green leaves and white flowers, the growth habit is decumbent and has distinct DNA marker profile. This new variety ‘CIM-Vishisht’ will help opening new avenues for essential oil industry in the country.

An improved variety of menthol mint (Mentha arvensis), christen as “CIM-Kranti”, has been developed through half-sib progeny selection from the parent variety ‘cv. Gomti’. The new variety is cold and frost tolerant and has the potential to produce higher oil (10-12%) in summer cropping season when compared to all other popular commercial cultivars of menthol mint. More importantly, during winter season (September – January) also when all other mint varieties suffer senescence due to cold and frost conditions, ‘CIM-Kranti remains green in the field and grows vigorously to yield two to three times more essential oil and (100 kg/ha) along with sucker production (250-300 q/ha). This plant is distinct in terms of leaf morphology and DNA profile and can be propagated vegetatively to maintain uniformity. Hence, this newly developed variety is suitable for commercial cultivation of menthol mint to generate additional income to farmers without any additional input for cultivation during winter besides its usual cultivation as a summer crop.

This work brings the mainly theme the religion Bahá i, more specifically the social action of it in Brazil, with the objective to check which is the space that the Bahá i faith occupies in Brazilian society. To get this intention, our study based itself in first moment with Max Weber, Clifford Geertz, Peter Beger, looking for the understand of religious phenomenon and the vision of the world and of the ethos being feature of construction of religiously identity. In another moment, are present the ideas of Paulo Freire, Pablo Gentili, John Dewey, Álvaro Vieira Pinto, glimpsing a reflection about the education questions that based the social action of the Bahá i faith. Using the qualitative quotation of research, being used collected data in document analyze Interviews, participative observation, besides of bibliographic research. The results of the research indicated that the space occupied by Bahá i faith is the one of Education, that, according to the principles Bahí I formed itself in the possibility of transformation of social behavior and the construction of a world more harmonious, that prevails the unit of human gender
Este trabalho traz como tema central a religião Bahá í, mais especificamente a ação social desta no Brasil, com o objetivo de verificar qual o espaço que a Fé Bahá í ocupa na sociedade brasileira. Para atingirmos este propósito, nosso estudo fundamentou-se num primeiro momento em Max Weber, Clifford Geertz, Peter Beger, na busca da compreensão do fenômeno religioso e da visão de mundo e do ethos enquanto forma de construção da identidade religiosa. Num outro momento, estão presentes as ideais de Paulo Freire, Pablo Gentili, John Dewey, Álvaro Vieira Pinto, vislumbrando uma reflexão sobre as questões educacionais que permeiam a ação social da Fé Bahá í. Utilizamos a abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa, sendo utilizados dados coletados em análise documental, entrevistas, observação participativa, além da pesquisa bibliográfica. Os resultados da pesquisa indicaram que o espaço ocupado pela Fé Bahá í é o da Educação,que, de acordo com os princípios Bahá ís constitui-se na possibilidade de transformação do comportamento social e da construção de um mundo mais harmônico, em que prevalece a unidade do gênero humano

Esta investigación se plantea ofrecer una síntesis basada en las conferencias y entrevistas de ‘Abdu’l-Bahá (1844-1921) durante sus viajes a Europa y Norteamérica (1911-1913) acerca de su discurso en torno a los temas que más ocuparon los debates sociales en Occidente durante los años inmediatamente previos a la Primera Guerra Mundial, así como comparar las ideas que él expuso con algunas de los discursos más predominantes en la época. Para ello la investigación se ha desarrollado en tres partes. En la primera parte se analiza el discurso de ‘Abdu’l-Bahá en torno a la cuestión de las relaciones raciales, la igualdad de géneros, y el nacionalismo. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá negó la existencia de las razas y, en consecuencia, negó que se pudiera definir al individuo partiendo de criterios biológicas y abogó por una organización social en el que las categorías raciales no tuvieran cabida. Asimismo, negó la existencia de diferencias entre hombres y mujeres, enfatizó la importancia de la educación de la mujer como medio para alcanzar la igualdad, y propuso la plena participación de la mujer en todos los ámbitos. Finalmente, criticó la idea de nación como realidad objetiva, y se opuso a que el individuo fuera definido por su origen nacional. La segunda parte se centra en el tema de la paz y en sus muchos contactos con el movimiento pacifista. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá recalcó que la raíz última de las guerras está en concepciones sobre el ser humano no igualitarias y, por tanto, centró su discurso sobre la paz en la idea de la unidad del género humano. Propuso, asimismo, la creación de un tribunal supremo de alcance universal, de un parlamento mundial y la adopción de una lengua internacional auxiliar. En la tercera parte se presentan los contactos de ‘Abdu’l-Bahá con varias comunidades religiosas, así como los conceptos que él expuso acerca de la unidad esencial de las religiones, el papel de la religión en la sociedad y la necesidad del fenómeno religioso como agente cohesionador y educador.
This research aims to offer a synthesis based on the conferences and interviews of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá (1844-1921) during his trips in Europe and North America (1911-1913) about his discourse on those areas that were at the center of the social debates in the West during the years preceding the First World War, and to compare the ideas he presented with some of the most prevalent discourses at the time. The research has been developed in three parts. The first part analyses ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s discourse on racial relations, gender equality and nationalism. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá denied the existence of races and, as a consequence, he also denied that the individual could be defined using biological criteria and pleaded for a social organization in which racial categories would not be considered. He also denied the existence of any differences between men and women, emphasized the importance of the education of women as a means of achieving equality, and proposed the full participation of women in all affairs. Finally, he criticized the idea of nation as an objective reality, and opposed the notion that human beings could be defined by their national origin. The second part focuses on the subject of peace and on his many contacts with the peace movement. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá stressed that the deep roots of war should be found in the non-egalitarian conceptions of the human being. He, therefore, centered his discourse on peace on the idea of the unity of mankind. He also proposed the creation of a world supreme tribunal, the establishment of a world parliament and the adoption of an international auxiliary language. The third part presents ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s contacts with various religious communities, and the ideas he expounded on the essential unity of religions, the role of religion in society and the necessity of religions in promoting cohesion and advancing education.

Streszczenie:
Náboženský spisovateľ, učiteľ a evanjelický duchovný Juraj Bahil (1689 – 1760) je autorom barokovej poézie, gratulačných básní a náboženského diela, ktoré z väčšej časti ostalo v rukopisnej podobe. Výnimkou je didakticko-reflexívna báseň namierená proti fajčeniu Elegia joco-seria de pipa. Táto bola takmer sto rokov po svojom vzniku publikovaná v ročenke Malohontskej učenej spoločnosti Solennia Bibliothecae Kishontanae z roku 1830, ktorej editorom bol Matej Holko mladší. V štúdii predstavujeme báseň i jej autora. Poukazujeme na jej prepracovanie do dobovej slovenčiny. Primárne sa však zameriavame na osvetový obsah latinského originálu básne i na jeho formálne charakteristiky a uvádzame krátke ukážky s pracovným prekladom.
