For the English abstract and full text of the article please see the attached PDF-File (English version follows Russian version).ABSTRACT The experience of development of domestic automatic traffic control systems for metro trains is analyzed, taking into account high intensity and low redundancy of the line capacity necessary to compensate for disturbances. A brief overview of development of an automated control system is given; the dynamics of changes in the systems of automatic train operation is shown. The analysis of the transformation of algorithms for centralized control of metro trains, the features of time-travel controllers, the requirements for construction of technical means for determining the distance traveled and the speed regime are given. The control system of automatic clutch is based on the manual gearbox instead of the clutch pedal. It realizes automated clutch and manual shifting. The essence of automatic clutch is how to control the motor drive unit to achieve the implementation of the automatic clutch separation and bonding, and thus automatic speed technology of motor is the key. In this paper, combining the characteristics of micro-car, a double-loop automatic motor speed control system is designed. The design is proved reasonable and feasible through simulation based on MATLAB.

A face recognition system for automatic door access control has been developed in this work with a view to providing a relatively more robust and foolproof access control which can provide better security and reduce human errors inherent in other conventional methods. The system was designed with machine learning and artificial intelligence to capture faces, train faces with machine mode, and run trained faces to grant access to the user. The system uses the RaspberryPi module, camera module, servo motor and the GSM module which were all incorporated into the fabricated building to make up the prototype developed to provide access control by means of facial biometrics. In order to grant access to registered users, various photos of the users were taken in different positions and expressions with proper illumination. The user’s face is been captured by the camera module and saved in the database with the help of Raspberry Pi Module. Good lighting condition and other favorable conditions helps the camera module to recognize faces and sends signal to the Raspberry Pi which processes these images and opens the door with the help of the servo motor. The developed prototype was used to train fifty (50) users. It granted access to all fifty (50) users when there was proper illumination and pose but five (5) and nine (9) users respectively were denied access due to challenges of poor illumination and pose variation.

The process of automated tuning for the coordinating automatic control system is considered in this paper. This process of tuning for the coordinating control system is linked to the automatic synthesis of Petri nets based on functioning of the artificial neural network. Thereby, we can automate the process of tuning and synthesis of system models and also solve the urgent task linked to the minimization of tuning time for the multilevel control systems. The purposes of the scientific work are time reduction of the tuning and automatization of the tuning for the multilevel coordinating systems of the automatic control. In order to achieve this purpose in the MATLAB \ Simulink software environment it is necessary to devel- op the system for automated tuning of the regulators of various levels for the coordinating automatic control system. The application of artificial neural network with automatic synthesis of Petri nets allows to introduce intelligent technology in the automated tuning system. In this work we have presented the corresponding block diagrams of considered automated tuning system and the principles of its functioning. The certain principle of the formation of Petri nets is proposed. These Petri nets represent the algorithms of tuning in the systems for analysis the corresponding processes. The formation of the composition in the scheme from Petri net during the functioning of the artificial neural network is presented in the paper. The results of experiment are presented in the final part of this work. This time characteristics of the pro- cess of setting up for the coordinating automatic control system of foodstuffs cooling in tunnel chamber. The experiments were conducted in the Matlab 2012a environment. Based on the results of the experiment we have depicted the process of synthesis of the Petri net representing the system tuning algorithm. The performed experiments have showed the principal suitability of the automated search system for the settings of the regulators of various levels of the coordinating control system. The technique of automatic synthesis of Petri nets based on the functioning of artificial neural networks has obtained the further devel- opment while performing the approved task in the scientific paper.

Decision-making is directly connected with purposeful human activity. All people are engaged in this process on a daily basis both personally and using automatic or automated systems. The paper considers the issues of decision-making technology in automatic and automated systems, identifies the main stages of decision making: data – information – knowledge – decision making – decision implementation. There are defined terms «data», «information», «knowledge», «decision», «implementation» which are used at the stages of decision making and decision implementation in automated and automatic control systems. In the paper, there are provided definitions of automatic and automated systems, robots as a separate class of automatic systems, as well as the next stage of development of robots – self-organizing automatic machines which are independently configured to perform various target functions based on the rules of acquiring knowledge. Some features of large systems such as industry or state are noted. For such systems, it is impossible to get all the necessary data about the processes that take place in them. Therefore, the information obtained as a result of their processing will not provide enough knowledge for decision-making on system management. Missing knowledge can be obtained thanks to the unformalized knowledge of people. The definition of unformalized knowledge is provided as well. The paper forms the principles of building automated and automatic systems using artificial intelligence and describes the sequence of control processes in any automatic or automated control system

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Cruise Control (CC), and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) serve as the basis of longitudinal automated driving, and as Adaptive cruise control (ACC), cruise control (CC), and automatic emergency braking (AEB) serve as the basis of longitudinal automated driving, and as such have been the subject of much research. Model predictive control (MPC) and fuzzy logic are often considered to be the next steps in improving the capability of these systems, but the two control strategies have not been compared to each other in the ACC, CC and AEB applications. Also, the three features (ACC, CC and AEB) have never been compiled into a single fuzzy logic controller. The purpose of this paper is to design a fuzzy logic-based ACC, CC, and AEB controller and compare it to an equivalent MPC controller. All three controllers control the desired longitudinal acceleration, and their functionality is tested using Matlab’s Fuzzy Logic Designer and other Simulink toolboxes. Ultimately, the results of the analysis demonstrate that the proposed fuzzy controller operates just as well if not better than the MPC controller and that the fuzzy controller is able to operate well in all tested scenarios.

Abstract. The Basque Country Mesonet measures more than 130 000 observations daily from its 85 Automatic Weather Stations (AWS). It becomes clear that automated software is an indispensable tool for quality assurance (QA) of this mesoscale surface observing network. This work describes a set of experimental semi-automatic quality control (QC) routines that is applied at Euskalmet data center. It has paid special attention to level validation design and associated flags, as well as to the system outputs, which are used by meteorologist and maintenance staff.

The studies were performed to improve workflow of hydraulic automatic control systems of the tillage units. Tillage quality should not deteriorate. Working bodies of tillage machines have to be moved automatically. Automated devices can be separated into two groups: direct and indirect action. It is preferable to indirect action. The article presents analysis of automatic devices used into tillage machines. Automatic control systems can be hydraulic, electro-hydraulic and pneumatic. Mechanical systems are not effective. Hydraulic systems are cheaper electric and pneumatic. They provide best of energy and quality indicators of technological process of tillage. Automatic control systems are uses draft forces, hitch position, depth of the implement, speed, acceleration and other sensors. Method of computer modeling and optimization of hydraulic automatic control systems of tillage units was developed. Results of computer modeling of hydraulic automatic control systems help to select direction of improving quality and energy indicators of technological process of tillage. Optimized combine implement depth and draft control system of arable unit allow reducing deviation the draft force of the plow; deviation of the depth of plowing is equal to or smaller than agro-technical requirements. Deviation of the draft force was decreased to 13.5 % for deviation specific soil resistance - 20 %, depth of plowing - 0.21 m, deviation of the depth of plowing - 0.019 m (9 %). Deviation of the depth of plowing may be decreased to 0.010 m (4,8 %), but deviation of the draft force shell be increased up to 16.2%. Optimized hydraulic automatic control system of garden tiller with a trapezoidal mechanism leaves smaller untreated soil area from 1.37-1.46 times.

It’s accepted to divide aircraft automatic control into semi-automatic (director) and automatic. Semi-automatic (director) systems provide for the collection and analysis of information, delivered from navigation equipment. On aircraft position in space and give a command to a pilot. Aircraft management with the help of such piloting-navigational systems is called semi-automatic because information collection and processing on aircraft condition is automated but the control’s left to be manual. Automatic control systems provide not just for information collection and processing on aircraft state but also for management laws as well as for control process itself. A man implements functions on automatic system work control, on identifying, making decisions on inclusion of this or that program, function of "hot" reserve. Present article shows experiment organization and obtained results on research of the processes of airplane director management while failures of board calculator of trajectory control system with real pilot inclusion into circuit. The research is held on the stage of aircraft approach and landing. The experiment was held on special bench of half-real modeling.

In order to improve the automatic test effect of the electronic controller, this paper combines the intelligent control algorithm to construct the automatic test system of the electronic controller. Moreover, the paper makes a detailed theoretical analysis of several basic problems relating to signal integrity and gives a general method to solve the main SI problems. In addition, this paper analyzes the principle of the microstrip transmission line parameter model and its relationship with the signal integrity and constructs an automated test system for an intelligent electronic controller. The simulation test results show that the electronic controller automated test system based on the intelligent control algorithm proposed in this paper can play an important role in the electronic controller automated test.

The object of research is the process of automatic control of the redundant structure of the vessel's executive devices for extreme rotation in the yaw channel. Traditionally, redundant structures have been used to improve the reliability of automated control systems and the maneuverability of vessels. At the same time, control redundancy can also be used to optimize control processes, thereby reducing fuel consumption, increasing control forces and moments, and reducing the time required to perform operations. This allows gaining advantages in movement over vessels not equipped with optimization modules. The paper considers the optimal management of the redundant structure of an offshore vessel, which ensures the rotational movement of the vessel around the center of rotation with the maximum angular velocity. As well as simultaneous maintenance of a given position or movement in the longitudinal and lateral channel, taking into account control restrictions. This problem is reduced to a nonlinear optimization problem with nonlinear and linear control constraints. The method, algorithmic and software of the module of extreme rotation of the vessel with a redundant structure of executive devices have been developed. The workability and efficiency of the developed method, algorithmic and software are verified by mathematical modeling in the closed circuit «Control Object – Control System». The results of the conducted experiment showed that the use of optimal control allows, in comparison with traditional methods of splitting controls, to increase the control moment and angular speed of rotation by 1.5–2 times. The obtained opportunities are explained by the use of a mathematical model of the redundant control structure and the optimization procedure for calculating optimal controls in the on-board computer of the automated system. The developed method can be used on vessels, provided it is integrated into the existing automated system of the on-board computer with an open architecture, to increase the capabilities of automatic traffic control.

Technical tools are defined by the international standard IEC 61131-1: 2003 (Part 1: General data). The possibility of implementing SDSDC complex in direct digital control, single-cycle and multi-cycle ladder diagrams, identification of objects of management and synthesis of digital controllers in comparison with the international standard IEC 61131-3: 2003 (Part 3: Programming Languages) are evaluated. Users’ productivity is estimated as well as the possibility of its separation between the users at different stages of the design of digital systems of automatic control is assessed.

As a method of study we used computational and theoretical method using the theory of differential equations, control theory, methods of analysis and synthesis, including the numerical experiment. In this paper, a comparison of the characteristics of an automated heat control system in buildings, using the heat pump from the low-grade heat source, as well as conventional systems, receiving heat from the CHP for heat networks. Numerical study carried out for conditions of autumn-spring period, as during the research of heat system, the environment is selected as the low-grade heat source. Moreover, It is analysed climatic conditions start of the heating period in 2014 and 2015. for the city of Samara. The Framework Act on Administration, scheduled to take effect in March 2021, provides an explicit basis for fully automated administrative decisions by introducing the concept of ‘automatic disposition’ in Article 20. Traditionally, the ‘automation of administration’ was significant as an auxiliary administrative procedure consisting of automatic mechanical devices such as traffic signal transmission, tax, and utility bill calculation. Moreover, since automated administrative decisions using artificial intelligence (AI) technology are also included in this automatic disposition, there is room for legal acceptance of automated administrative decisions based on artificial intelligence algorithms that exceed the level of conventional computerization or partial automation. However, it is still a long way from implementing a fully automated administrative decision system based on current law and having technical and institutional safety devices for it. On the other hand, the Framework Act on Intelligent Informatization, which took effect in December 2020, introduced a new ‘social impact assessment’ for intelligent information services that have far-reach effects on citizens’ lives. According to Article 56 of the Act, the main goal of this impact assessment system is to investigate and evaluate the impact of intelligent information services on society, economy, culture, etc., disclose the results, reflect them in policies, and directly recommend appropriate measures. Since the scope of intelligent information services subject to evaluation is not limited to the private sector, it should be considered that intelligent information services in the administrative sector can also be subject to social impact assessment in this article. It is reasonable to assume that automatic administrative services by artificial intelligence system belong to a wide range of intelligent information services prescribed by law, and that automatic disposition issued as a fully automated system based on intelligent information technology can also be subject to social impact assessment. Although no provisions have been found in law to assess the impact of automated administrative decisions, the government of Canada has implemented the “Directive on Automated Decision-Making” since April 2019, which systematically regulates the automated administrative decision-making system. The requirement that constitutes an important axis of this directive is the ‘algorithmic impact assessment'. For an automated administrative decision-making system that bears relatively stricter legality and public responsibility than private companies' services, it is necessary to process and operate an impact assessment that reviews safety, transparency, and solidity in advance. In this paper, referring to the Canadian case, as a control system of the algorithm-based administrative decision-making system, I propose the institutionalization of the “algorithmic impact assessment” in consideration of the connection with the social impact assessment under the current law.
