AbstractThe effects of micro and nano sized reinforcement particles on microstructure and mechanical properties of aluminium alloy-based metal matrix composites were investigated in this study. AlSi9Cu3 alloy was reinforced with micro and nano sized ceramic reinforcement particles at different weight fractions by using a stir casting method. The mechanical tests (hardness, three point bending) were performed to determine the mechanical properties of AlSi9Cu3 alloy-based microcomposites (AMMCs) and nanocomposites (AMMNCs). The experimental results have shown that the size and weight fraction of reinforcement particles have a strong influence on the microstructure and the mechanical properties of AlSi9Cu3 alloy-based microcomposites and nanocomposites. The relative densities of all AMMC and AMMNC samples are lower than unreinforced AlSi9Cu3 alloy due to porosity formation with the increase of weight fraction of reinforcement particles. As weight fraction increases, hardness values of AMMCs and AMMNCs increase. Maximum flexural strength can be obtained at 3.5wt.% for the AMMC sample with microsized Al2O3 particles and at 2wt.% for the AMMNC sample with nano-sized Al2O3 particles. After the weight fractions exceed these values, flexural strengths of both AMMCs and AMMNCs decrease due to clustering of Al2O3 particles.

AbstractIn the present study, aluminium metal matrix composites (AMMC’s) reinforced with boron carbide (B4C) and graphite (Gr) particles were prepared by stir casting method. Dry sliding wear behavior of developed composites was conducted on pin on disc apparatus with variation in sliding distance, applied load and sliding speed. Taguchi method was employed to optimize the data in a controlled way. Analysis of variance was employed to examine the wear behavior of base alloy (Al2219), mono (Al/B4C) and hybrid (Al/B4C/Gr) metal matrix composites. The correlations were established by linear regression models and validated using confirmation tests. The obtained results indicated that B4C content, sliding distance is highly affected by the dry sliding wear followed by sliding speed and applied load. The incorporation of B4C and Gr particles in aluminium improves the tribological characteristics. The SEM images of mono composite shows the deep grooves on worn surface. It demonstrates the signs of abrasive wear of mono composite. The hybrid composite exhibits excellent wear resistance when compared to mono composite and base alloy. The main reason of that is the Gr particles act as a solid lubricating material in the hybrid composite (Al/B4C/Gr).

Aluminum Metal Matrix Composites (AMMCs) are promising materials for advanced structural, aviation, aerospace, marine, defense applications, automotive and other related sectors because of their excellent combination of properties. The AMMCs is fabricated by using stir casting method, which is the simplest way of fabricating a material. In this paper aluminium alloy 6061 is been reinforced with SiC along with fly ash and neem leaf ash. The three samples have been fabricated they are Sample1 (Al85%+SiC15%), Sample2 (Al 85%+SiC5%+FlyAsh10%) & Sample3 (Al85% +SiC5%+ Neem leaf ash10%). After fabricating this three sample the following test are conducted like Hardness test, Microstructure Test, Friction and Wear Test. The wettability of SiC and Neem leaf ash particles in the matrix was improved by adding them. The optical and scanning electron micrographs showed a homogeneous dispersion of composition material. The result shows that the Sample-3 (Al80% +SiC10%+ Neem leaf ash10%) shows improvement in mechanical properties like hardness, the wear properties has been reduced and their Micro structural characterization clearly shows uniform distribution of SiC and Neem Leaf ash in the composition.

The most common use for aluminium metal matrix composite, or AMMC, is variety of industrial submissions, including those in aerospace, automotive, marine, and sports industries, amongst many others. The most important reinforcing components for manufacturing AMMC are SiC, aluminium oxides, MnO, graphene, and carbon nano tubes, since these components are often used in practice. This article’s goal is to build AMMCs that are reinforced with Silicon carbide (SiC) and Alumina (Al2O3). In order to make AMMC, a procedure known as stir casting is used. Since the last several years, increased attention has been placed on the preparation of AMMCs employing agro waste as reinforcing materials. Examples of such waste are rice husk and/or SiC. As soon as the Al-matrix material has been melted using this method and churned violently, reinforcing material is added to one side of this vortex, creating a spherical structure. The AMMCs may be prepared via a procedure called stir casting, which involves a violent and whirling motion. In the beginning, the furnace is used to melt the aluminium alloy (AA3105) when the metal is in a semisolid state. The reinforcing materials, also known as SiC and Alumina (Al2O3), are warmed to temperatures of 260 and 220 degrees Celsius, respectively. According to the findings of AMMC, tensile strength and hardness of material both rose by 22.41 percent and 45.5 percent, respectively, when they were reinforced with 4.75 weight percent of each kind of reinforcement (SiC, Al2O3, and 1 percent Cr). When 1 percent Cr, 4.75 weight percent SiC, and 4.75 weight percent Al2O3 of composite material are used.

Abstract: The present research looks upon metal matrix composites, namely Aluminum Metal Matrix Composites (AMMCs), as well as modelling and simulation of the orthogonal metal cutting process. A fundamental component of AMMCs is aluminum alloy, which creates a percolating network and acts as the matrix stage. Multiwall nano carbon tubes are another non-metallic component used as reinforcement in the aluminum alloy matrix (CNT). Some of the primary advantages of AMMNCs over unreinforced products are higher strength, high stiffness, decreased weight, improved heat properties, controlled thermal development coefficient, and thermal/heat monitoring. The SHPB test at high stain rates is commonly used to establish the Johnson cook constants for AMMNC work piece material. The Johnson-Cook constitutive model, which estimates flow stress as the product of strain, strain rate, and temperature effects, is used to determine work hardening, strain-rate hardening, and thermal softening. FEM simulations were carried out using 2D-Deform software. When the results of the 2D-Deform software-derived flow stressandtemperature are compared to the findings of the analytical model, the results are satisfactory. Aluminum metal matrix composites (AMMCs) have become increasingly ubiquitous in the fields of aerospace and automobile businesses due to their lightweight properties. Their machining is a challenging task because of the presence of supplemented particles, also called reinforcements. As the wt% of the supplemented particles changes, the morphological and machining behaviors of the AMMCs change. The present work is focused on exploring the thermo-mechanical properties of AMMCs which would help in AMMC applications in the aerospace industry with a new collection of composites containing silicon carbide (SiC) and zircon/zirconium silicate (ZrSiO4) as supplements in wt% of 5%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. Uniform binary and hybrid sample pallets are prepared by powder metallurgy (PM). The said samples are sintered and then machined using wire electric discharge machining (WEDM) employing brass wire with a feed rate of 2 to 3 mm/min. Also, analysis of porosity and recast layer formation is performed via the microstructure, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). Some interesting and useful findings are obtained which can extend the applications of AMMCs in automobiles and the aerospace industry. The results reveal that temperature and wt% are playing their significant roles in the changes in the thermo-mechanical properties of AMMCs. Mathematical equations via regression analysis using Minitab 17 and Excel are developed for the congruence of experimental data. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) is also performed. Hence, the most optimized relationships for the best machining output are established and presented in this proposed study.

Stir casting method is used in the production of SiC reinforced-aluminium metal matrix composite (AMMC) to enhance the properties of base metal. Different weight fraction of Silicon carbide, SiC (5 wt%, 10 wt% and 15 wt %) particulate-reinforced AMMCs are fabricated and characterizations of physical and mechanical properties of the materials are performed based on the experimental. The microstructure of the fabricated composite material are studied and analyzed. The results indicate that the mechanical properties of the composite, including yield strength, tensile strength and hardness are enhanced by the increment of the weight fraction of reinforcing phase. Nevertheless, the elongation and fracture toughness of the composite decreased as the reinforcing phase increased. This is mainly due to the brittleness of the SiC particles which act as micro void initiator.

Aluminium metal matrix composites (AMMCs) are being considered as a group of superior material for its lightness, strength, high specific modulus, low coefficient of thermal expansion and good wear resistance properties. Solid state and liquid state processing methods are used to fabricate AMMCs. Achieving a uniform distribution of reinforcement within the matrix is one such challenge, which affects directly on the properties and quality of composite material. Powder metallurgy route, one of the solid state processing methods can be effectively used to get uniform dispersion of reinforcements with aluminium metal matrix. This paper presents the summary of the ball milling and stir casting processes to fabricate the AMMCs and its applications. Major issues like ball milling time, dispersion of reinforcements, grain size, the stirring time and speed are discussed. Also the effect of different reinforcement for AMMCs on the mechanical properties is discussed in detail.

Aluminium Metal Matrix Composites (AMMCs) are the new class of materials substituting many industrial materials. It is due to its superior qualities compared to conventional materials. AMMCs has found a versatile application because it has aluminium in matrix phase hence light in weight and also it can acquire different properties as per reinforcements used. Sintering is one of the prominent methods used to manufacture AMMCs. Sintering process is used in Powder Metallurgy in which small powdered particles are heated to bond together. The process enhances the strength as well as other mechanical and tribological properties. The technology enables us to shape materials difficult to machine, parts with complex geometries, materials having high melting point, parts with close dimensional tolerances, or to combine different materials which is not possible with any other process. The most important part is that the density of the product can be controlled according to the requirements and thus self-lubricating and wear-resistant parts are possible. The present study has attempted to see if TiB2 can be used as reinforcement in AMMCs produced through powder metallurgy route and the changes in the properties of AMMCs by the different sintering methods adopted. The compacted preforms of varying compositions of reinforcement were prepared and sintered through three different methods i.e. Microwave sintering, Conventional sintering and Hot-pressing to study the changes in the properties. A comparative study has been done between the three sintering methods to see the limitations and scope for improvement.

Abstract The present study investigated the microstructure, mechanical and corrosion behaviour of Al6061 alloy reinforced with nano zirconium diboride (ZrB2) particles. The stir casting route is carried out to fabricate the Al6061 metal matrix nanocomposites (AMMNCs) by varying 0 to 2 Wt% of ZrB2 nanoparticles. X-ray Diffraction (XRD)was used to study the crystalline size and phase distribution of AMMNCs. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis reveals the uniform dispersion of ZrB2 nano particulates in AMMNCs. Ultimate tensile strength and yield strength, hardness of the AMMNCs were increased by 33.58%, 27.54%, and 40.57%, respectively, with the addition of ZrB2 nano particulates, while the elongation decreased to 46.03%. with the increase in ZrB2 Wt%. The corrosion rate of AMMNCs (2 Wt% ZrB2) decreased by 86% compared to Al6061 alloy. Fracture analysis of the samples showed that the fracture behaviour of Al6061 matrix alloy changed from ductile intergranular fracture to cleavage. The results show that the developed nanocomposite enhances mechanical properties and corrosion resistance with an increase in Wt% of reinforcement.

This essay analyzes A.R. In the 1990s, when Ammons published his long poem, waste and garbage were becoming pivotal tropes in American poetry. While Ammons deals with the inescapable presence of garbage in his homonymous poem, he also goes beyond the materiality of waste in order to incorporate more metaphorical resonances. Arguably, the most valuable insights that Garbage has to offer derive precisely from its striking juxtaposition of the material and the immaterial, the scatological and the eschatological. Most importantly, Ammons not only sings a hymn to the huge garbage dump and its implications, but also to the “unsung heroes” of modernity (Bauman 2004): the anonymous workers who collect the garbage and maintain the landfill.

Aluminium alloy-based metal matrix composites (AMMCs) have been by now established themselves as a suitable wear resistant material especially for sliding wear applications. However, in actual practice engineering components usually encounter combination of wear types. An attempt has been made in the present paper to highlight the effect of dispersing SiC in 2014 base alloy adopting the liquid metallurgy route on different wear modes like sliding, abrasion, erosion, and combinations of wear modes like cavitation erosion, erosion abrasion, sliding abrasion, and the results obtained compared with the base alloy. It is found that there are a number of contributing factors for the resulting wear and all are not necessarily derogatory in nature. The limits within which the AMMCs can exhibit superior performance over the base alloy have been discussed. Worn surface and subsurface studies have been carried out to understand the mechanism of material removal and the role of the different contributing factors to material removal. Wear mechanisms that have been prevalent have been suggested and the possibility of making wear resistant components from the MMCs is discussed based on the experimental results obtained.

Machining of Aluminum Metal Matrix Composites (AMMCs) is a challenge for manufacturing industries due to their heterogeneous constituents which vary from soft matrix to hard reinforcements and their interfaces. To overcome the difficulties in machining of MMCs, researchers are continuously working to find the optimum process or machining parameters. In this work, End milling studies were carried out in A356 alloy powder-SiC particles (1 μm) in 0, 5, 10, 15 volume % reinforced AMMCs synthesised by vacuum hot pressing (VHP) route. The influence of machining parameters such as cutting speed, feed and depth of cut on the prepared composites in terms of surface roughness (Ra) and material removal rate (MRR) are measured from experimental study. Experiments were conducted as per Taguchi L16 orthogonal array with 4 factors and 4 levels. From the experimental result, it was identified that surface roughness varied from 0.214 μm to 4.115 μm and MRR varied from minimum of 1.11 cm3/min to maximum of 9.65 cm3/min. It is also observed that, MRR increased with increase in machining parameters and reinforcement quantity. Similarly, surface roughness decreased for increase of cutting speed, SiC particle (SiCp) reinforcement and increased for increase in feed and depth of cut. The optimum condition were observed in higher speed, lower feed and higher depth of cut on MMC with higher SiC content (15%) for getting higher machinability.

The generation of renewable energy is a promising solution to counter the rapid increase in energy consumption. Nevertheless, the availability of renewable resources (e.g., wind, solar, and tidal) is non-continuous and temporary in nature, posing new demands for the production of next-generation large-scale energy storage devices. Because of their low cost, highly abundant raw materials, high safety, and environmental friendliness, aqueous rechargeable multivalent metal-ion batteries (AMMIBs) have recently garnered immense attention. However, several challenges hamper the development of AMMIBs, including their narrow electrochemical stability, poor ion diffusion kinetics, and electrode instability. Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have been extensively investigated for applications in energy storage devices because of their distinct chemical and physical properties. The wide interlayer distance of layered TMDs is an appealing property for ion diffusion and intercalation. This review focuses on the most recent advances in TMDs as cathode materials for aqueous rechargeable batteries based on multivalent charge carriers (Zn2+, Mg2+, and Al3+). Through this review, the key aspects of TMD materials for high-performance AMMIBs are highlighted. Furthermore, additional suggestions and strategies for the development of improved TMDs are discussed to inspire new research directions.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to study if actively managed exchange-traded funds (AMETFs) and actively managed mutual funds (AMMFs) are complements or substitutes. It also tests if there are tax or liquidity clientele effects. Design/methodology/approach The study investigates the relation between individual AMMF flows and aggregate AMETF flows as well as individual AMETF flows and aggregate AMMF flows. A 2013 tax change is used to analyze if a tax clientele effect exists between the AMETF and AMMF markets. The authors use differences in investor groups for institutional vs retail fund share classes to test for liquidity clientele effects. Findings The authors find that equity and mixed AMETFs and AMMFs are substitutes, although not perfect substitutes. Taxation-related differences between the two products create a clientele effect for fixed income and mixed funds where tax-sensitive investors are more likely to substitute AMETFs for AMMFs surrounding tax increases. There is weak evidence that institutional investors may prefer AMETFs more than retail investors because of their enhanced liquidity. Originality/value This is the first study to investigate the flow relation between AMETFs and AMMFs. The fast-paced growth of the AMETF area coupled with the substitutability between the two products and tax advantages of AMETFs has the capability to gain significant market share from AMMFs in the future.

The study of ‘Ammār’s understanding of freedom complements previous research on Arabic Christian formulations of the subject. Studies either relate them to the concept of ḥērūṯā in Syriac tradition or the context of Christian-Muslim controversy. I demonstrate that in ‘Ammār’s discussion, on a terminological-lexical level, engagement with Islamic thought is less evident while Syriac influences and Patristic and Greek philosophical parallels can be identified. I reconstruct the meanings of his terms through a close reading of extensive passages and group the occurrences lexically-thematically into the following units: 1. freedom (ḥurriyya, derivations from ḥ-r-r, related or synonymous expressions); 2. capacity, choice (istiṭā‘a, iḫtiyār); 3. acquisition, deserving, necessitating (iktisāb, istiḥqāq, istīğāb); 4. intentions, moral responsibility.

Abstract The immunologic properties of Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are of therapeutic interest. Previous work shows MSCs do not elicit an alloreactive T cell response in vitro due to suppressive mechanisms. These results suggested that allogeneic MSCs could be used in vivo without inducing an immune response. We further explored this hypothesis using a well-characterized population of Adult Murine Mesenchymal Stem Cells (AmMSCs). These AmMSC are free of hematopoietic contamination and have the following immunologic phenotype: Class I +, Class II-, CD40-, CD80+, and CD86−. Upon treatment with interferon gamma, upregulation of Class I, Class II, CD80, and CD86 was observed. T cell proliferation assays were performed using CFDA SE tracking dye and T cell subsets were analyzed using dual color flow cytometry. The AmMSCs were capable of suppressing CD4+ and CD8+ T cell proliferation in response to alloantigen or polyclonal mitogen, independent of MHC matching, when cultured in direct contact with the T cells. Intracellular cytokine staining of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells revealed that interferon gamma and IL-10 production increased in co-cultures with AmMSC. This suggested that AmMSC are recognized by T cells, but are suppressing proliferation due to other mechanisms in vitro. In order to determine if donor AmMSCs are detected by an immunocompetent host in vivo, we conducted the following study. C57/B6 mice received an intraperitoneal injection of either one million C57/B6 GFP AmMSC (congenic, n=5), one million Balb/c AmMSC (allogeneic, n=5) , or 5 million Balb/c splenocytes (allogeneic control, n=5) at time point zero, and then were given an additional injection of the same cells at 4 weeks. Mice were bled at 0,2,4,5, and 6 weeks after the first injection. Serum was collected and assayed for alloantibody production. Alloantibody results revealed IgG and IgM responses against donor alloantigen at titers of greater than 1:100 in all 5 animals injected with Balb/c MSC. This was significantly increased over titers observed in the 5 mice injected with congenic C57/B6 GFP AmMSC, and similar to the titers seen in mice injected with allogeneic splenocytes. At six weeks post injection animals were sacrificed and a mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) was performed using host splenocytes as responders and irradiated donor splenocytes as stimulators. Splenocytes were stained using CFDA SE tracking dye and stained for CD4+ and CD8+ positive T cells. Proliferation of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells was measured using dual color flow cytometry. No increase in proliferation compared to a naïve MLR was noted in the animals injected with the congenic C57/B6 GFP AmMSCs. However all animals injected with allogeneic AmMSCs or allogeneic splenocytes showed increased CD4+ and CD8+ proliferation. It has been suggested primarily based on their in vitro properties, that MSCs may evade the immune response or induce tolerance after allogeneic transplantation. Our results document immune recognition of AmMSCs in vitro and in vivo. While we observed suppression of T-cell proliferation in vitro, our results after in vivo administration support a specific allogeneic immunization response equivalent to that induced by allogeneic splenocytes. These results argue against the theory that allogeneic MSCs may induce tolerance after transplantation, or that they can escape immune surveillance.

Machismos, as is the instance with feminineness for women, are publically built gender profiles under which men are pigeonholed. The inferred affiliation between male bodies and machismos or masculinity presents us with an understanding of the sex/gender gap where ‘sex’ is seen as remaining a preeminence and ‘gender’ as a set of facets which are ancillary. New directions in feminist studies have begun to take up this issue of reconsidering or rediscovering masculinity, especially in the context of recent works of Literature. Arundhati Roy’s Man-booker award winning novel, The God of Small Things (1997) is predominantly a novel about battle- in and through the body. Velutha, “The God of Loss. The God of Small Things” (Roy 265), whose name in Malayalam means “white” (Roy 73, 175 and 334), the colour affiliated both to sorrow and sunlit, has been depicted by the writer as the emblem of masculinity. Arundhati Roy builds an account that focuses on bodily happenstances that rebel considerable discourses and function as edges of cultural and social acquaintances. This study has been enthused by the comprehension that the subject of masculinity in women’s writing has not yet been explored to that extent, which it was expected to be! Little attention has been given to the analysis of women’s writing with the tools that theories of virilities provide. What masculinities emerge in Roy’s The God of Small Things is the multi-layered, mongrel text, wavering between traversing valuations of indigenous acuities of the standing of the man, the bequest of interventionism, and the impresses of novelty and globalization! Hence, this study, not only reconnoiters the different traits of masculinity present in Velutha as envisioned by a female writer, but it also deliberates in detail the male identity construction.

This article examined environmental factors contributing to the development of artistic talent. The subject is a 56-yr.-old internationally acclaimed ceramic artist. Interviews with the artist, his family, students, colleagues, and acquaintances provided the main source of data; records, tapes of lectures, photographs, and actual artistic products yielded additional information. The subject was the product of a warm, stable, achievement-oriented home atmosphere where little attention was paid to the arts. His early association with a culturally enriched family, his urban environment, his propitious university experience, and his personal ambition—all contributed to the full realization of his abilities. Gifted in the areas of music, sports, and drawing, he experienced a crystallizing experience at the age of 17 which set the course of further creative productivity. The findings are consistent with prior views expressed by Ammons and Ammons in 1962, by Bloom in 1985 and by Walker in 1986.

This paper will look at the way the African Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem have utilised the theological narrative of marginalisation in their quest for identity and self-determination. The African Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem are an expatriate black American group who have lived in Israel since 1969, when their spiritual leader, Detroit-born Ben Ammi, received a vision commanding him to take his people back to the Promised Land. Drawing on a long tradition in the African American community that self-identified as the biblical Israelites, the African Hebrew Israelites are marginalised in their status as Americans, as Jews, and as Israelis. We will examine the writings of Ben Ammi in order to demonstrate that this biblically based motif of marginalisation was a key part of his theology, and one which enabled his movement to grow and sustain itself; yet, in comparison with other contemporaneous theological movements, Ben Ammi utilised a specific variant of this motif. Rejecting the more common emphasis on liberation, Ammi argued for an eschatological reorientation around the marginalised. This article will conclude that Ben Ammi’s theology is key to understanding how the community has oriented itself and how it has proved successful in lasting 50 years against both internal disputes and external attacks.

Abstract Background: MammaPrint (MP) is an FDA approved early breast cancer prognostic genomic assay that examines the expression levels of 70 genes and classifies clinically high-risk patients with early-stage breast cancer into low or high risk of distant metastasis. Current ASCO guidelines do not support using MP testing in clinically low-risk patients. Historically, assessing a patient’s clinical risk for breast cancer recurrence has relied on a subjective evaluation of histologic factors, immunohistochemical features, and clinical characteristics. Genomic assay testing provides more objective prognostic and predictive information than those more traditional methods; however, several studies have shown that statistical models using standard histologic variables can give valuable prognostic information, and might be used as an alternative approach to genomic assays for clinical risk-assessment and risk-stratification, particularly in lower risk breast cancer patients, potentially resulting in significant cost savings for health care systems. One of these statistical models, the average Modified Magee equation, has been shown to be prognostic for a low risk of recurrence in ER positive Her2 negative breast cancer patients who have an average Modified Magee score (aMMs) of ≤ 12. The aMMs has been shown to correlate well with the Oncotype DX recurrence score; however, there is limited data on the correlation between the aMMs and MP. In this study, we evaluated the concordance between the aMMs and the MP index (MPI). Methods: 222 consecutive patients with a new diagnosis of hormone receptor positive Her-2 negative breast cancer at the University of Rochester between April 2020 and December 2020 were sent for MP testing. The aMMs was determined for each patient based on the estrogen receptor status, progesterone receptor status, HER-2 status, Ki-67 proliferation index, Nottingham score, and tumor size. Based on the previous literature, patients were risk-stratified by the aMMs into three groups: 1) low risk (aMMs ≤ 12; n = 75); 2) low - intermediate risk (aMMs >12 and ≤ 18; n = 96); and, 3) high risk (aMMs >18, n = 51). Based on the previous literature, patients were risk-stratified by the MPI into two groups: 1) low risk (MPI 0 to +1); and, 2) high risk (MPI -1 to 0). The correlation between the aMMs and the MPI was evaluated using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The aMMs showed a negative correlation (r= -0.55) with the MPI, consistent with a lower risk aMMs more likely being associated with a lower risk MPI. 92% of patients with an aMMs ≤ 12 (very low risk) were classified as low risk by MP. 72% of patients with an aMMs > 12 and ≤ 18 (low - intermediate risk) were classified as low risk by MP. 47% of patients with an aMMs > 18 (high risk) were classified as high risk by MP (Table 1). All patients with an aMMs ≥ 24.7 (n=8) were classified as high risk by MP. Conclusion: Our study suggests that hormone receptor positive, Her-2 negative breast cancer patients with a lower risk aMMs are likely to have a lower MPI, suggesting that these patients have a decreased risk for breast cancer recurrence. As the aMMs approaches higher risk, the concordance with the MPI decreases; however 100% of patients with an aMMs ≥ 24.7 were classified as high risk by MP. The aMMs can be helpful in clinical risk-assessment prior to making a decision about sending a patient specimen out for MP testing. Additional studies are warranted.
