Les cas des Galápagos et du Yasuní en Equateur". Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015USPCA172/document.
Pełny tekst źródłaArchetypes of the complex interactions between humans and ecosystems in protected areas rich in Common Pool Resources (CPR), the Galapagos Islands and the Yasuní in Ecuador share a history of environment degradation, socio-environmental conflicts and chaotic land development. The abundance of CPR, source of a lucrative rent from biodiversity and crude (in the Yasuní case) have attracted the interests of oil and tourism businesses over the last fifty years. These industries have consistently steered public decisions over the creation, spatial organisation and administration of these natural reserves, additionally affecting their governance, a reality which has hindered the implementation of land-use planning policies for these areas which are two UNESCO MAB Reserves. The Galapagos and Yasuní protected areas are also a powerful example of the peculiar way whereby Ecuador governments over the last five decades have “instrumented” policy making, preferring the use of policy tools to public policies to decide on the two areas’ fate. This thesis shows how a structural problem such as the absence of a land use planning policy, has thrust the practice of policy tools adoption, instead of policy making, to manage the two protected areas. The “revolución ciudadana” led by president Correa succeeded in re-founding State institutions and launching a new development paradigm (Sumak Kawsay or Buen Vivir) however, it did not advance on land-use management related issues particularly regarding the two areas. Correa has placed national planning at the heart of public policy making it the state policy – backed by a powerful bureaucratic structure – but in this process, land use planning is considered as an instrument in support of national planning. This research, carried out under an interdisciplinary perspective, using policy tools as analytical key, wishes to contribute new insights and methods of analysis on public land use planning and management, as well as governance of common pool resources in protected areas
Guerrero, Zurita Grace. "Dynamique territoriale dans les petits cantons en Equateur : Etude comparative de 4 cantons de 20000 à 50000 habitants". Electronic Thesis or Diss., Université Grenoble Alpes, 2024. http://www.theses.fr/2024GRALH003.
Pełny tekst źródłaThe thesis examines the territorial dynamics of four small cantons of Ecuador with populations ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 people. There is a great disparity between cantons in the country; small cantons generate little production and are the poorest ones. Consequently, research into the factors that cause territorial dynamics in small cantons and can enhance territorial development processes is crucial. Two coastal cantons (Jama and Montalvo) and two highlands’ cantons (Cotacachi and Baños) were researched. The cantons were selected from a total of 221, based on their rate of population growth between the 2001 and 2010 censuses: Two surpass the national average in terms of population growth, two have slower growth rates than the national average. The territories have significant differences in terms of their economic and institutional conditions. The study of territorial dynamics is an understudied topic in cantonal planning processes, despite its importance in each canton's distinctive territorial development commitment. This absence gave rise to the following research question: What are the factors that might explain disparities in territorial development dynamics in small cantons? And the hypothesis: The factors that explain differences in territorial development dynamics in small cantons include demographic, economic, and related to the importance of small cities, social capital, and institutionality. As a conclusion, the four factors generate distinct dynamics in the cantons. Complexity is an appropriate framework for the study of territories because of the linkages of numerous factors that result in distinct territorial dynamics. According to this perspective, territories are complex systems which in turn, links factor subsystems. Finding the factors that stimulate these dynamics - unique to each territory - allows for the implementation of developmental efforts that break the cycle of poverty and depopulation. The interdependence of the studied four factors reflects the transformations and changes that imply the well-being of the inhabitants of the territory. The factors studied interact with one another; the economic sector has an impact on the demographic factor, population growth and migration; the small city plays a role in the generation of an economic and social dynamic of the territory and is essential within it because it dynamizes markets, functions, institutions, flows of goods and services, trade, installed infrastructure, and cultural activities; and the rural-urban relationship determines a conformation that influences the economic dynamics; finally, social capital explain dynamics of territorial development in just one canton. This is a mixed-methods study that allows the researcher to investigate several territorial issues within small cantons, using not only a quantitative approach but also appreciating the perspectives of the population, forming a triangle, and meeting various interests and representations
Guevara, rosero Grace carolina. "Impact of Spatial Agglomeration on Economic Performance in developing countries : the Latin American case". Thesis, Saint-Etienne, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015STETT118.
Pełny tekst źródłaIn economic literature, it has been underscored that spatial agglomeration plays a keyrole in the economic growth. Recently, it has been acknowledged that the conditions of development of countries are likely to shape the agglomeration-growth relationship. On these grounds, this PhD thesis aims to analyze the effects of agglomeration in Latin American countries.First, it investigates whether Latin American countries experience positive effects ofagglomeration on growth and to what extent their level of development influences such effects. In order to answer these questions, a growth model using regional data is estimated considering spatial interdependence. The results show that Latin American regions enjoy increasing positive effects of agglomeration on their growth until a certain level of income is reached.Second, it studies the influence of the nature of agglomeration externalities, such as specialization, diversity, density and competition on industrial productivity in cantonsby looking at the case of Ecuador. Using Generalized Method of Moments, an econometric model dealing with potential endogenous factors is estimated. The results indicate that diversity externalities generate the highest positive effects of agglomeration on productivity. Finally, it addresses how spatial agglomeration within regions is shaped by external trade. A panel data model is estimated taking into account regional characteristics,time-specific effects and regional-specific time trends of Colombian regions. The results show that the effect of trade openness in spatial concentration within regions isenhanced by two aspects: the home market effect and the location advantage effect of main cities within regions
N'Zebele, Jérôme. "Télécommunications et aménagement du territoire au Congo". Paris 8, 1993. http://www.theses.fr/1993PA080775.
Pełny tekst źródłaThe fondamental role play by telecommunications in social and economic developpement, and spatial planning in congo is no longer strange but real and important because it is a developping country which want to integrate new communications technologies. After this analysis: telecommunications appear as generators of disenclosement and this developpement of isolated aeras structuring therefore the space. This leads to what we call: spatil discrepancy or regional discrepancy: discrepancy accentuated by equipements the outline networks, density, flow, and tariffs these different elements reinforce the weight of two central poles of congo: brazzaville and pointe noire. But the preoccupations of spatial planning must be taken into account to lead to well balanced and well thought of ventilation as regards telecommunications. In this domain we must avoid the mimesis and more over consider the human dimension which determines the future of possible innovation

Pełny tekst źródłaThe Shuar people of Ecuador participate in native movements of politico-identical demands in a globalized context of natives rights recognizing. Reputed for their practice of human head reducing, people of a shamanic and warrior ideology and implied in the renewal of national and international political stakes, These people impulse since 1964 a regional federative grouping. In this frame, practices and shamanics representations of the world have a considerable influence on the formation of the leaders and on the contents of their speech. This thesis suggests analyzing a specific context of shamanicals representations’ influence on indigenous movements to understand in which measure the shuar notion of penker pujustin – well being - is a determinant of the shuar demands. Totalizing 13 months of ground in ecuadorian Amazonia, we will analyze the question of “living together” in a multicultural context. This work is at the border of ethnology, anthropology and sociology, in the domains of politics, health, sacred and territory. Working on the shuar people obligates to the reading and mobilization of anthropological and ethnological concepts. By the way, the changes operating on this ground places us in the conceptual field of political and health sociology. This double approach makes of this research a political socio-anthropology of good living
Tours, 1993. http://www.theses.fr/1993TOUR1010.
Pełny tekst źródłaThe thesis aims at showing that a code of ethics for the planning profession implies first a definition of the discipline, secondly a bringing to ligth of its historical and conceptual constants. To that end, a definition has been worked out, centered on four different notions : space, tile, collective action and open-ended developments. There follows a study of the different flows of ethical and deontological considerations. It subsequently appears that the time-space notion aline allows a rational basis for an ethical principle. The latter can be defined by a diversification of the different elements constituting the space potentially usable for social purposes, that is to say the space planners work on. It is an ethic of the never-ending opportunities in the field of planning
Montacer, Makram. "Localisation industrielle, disparités spatiales et aménagement du territoire en Tunisie". Nice, 2004. http://www.theses.fr/2004NICE0015.
Pełny tekst źródłaThroughout this work, we have shown how the theory of the endogenous local development can constitute the basis of regional planning. The aim is to fight against spatial inequalities of development. A spatial economic analysis has permitted us both to understand the economic basis of spatial inequalities and to infer a core - periphery structure. We have tried to study this structure in a developing country : Tunisia. The failure of Tunisian regional policies to fight against the inequalities of development between the coast and the interior, already present in the early 1950's, has lead us to evaluate the policies adopted in the mid 1980's. In this way, an Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis applied to the regional employment was able to show the persistence of the coast/interior configuration in the case of industry. However, there are positive signs in the employment within the spatial distribution of services and agriculture

Pełny tekst źródłaThis research deals with territorial development regarding spaces devoted to sport. In the first part we have introduced the participants, the laws and the regulations that are the framework of their action, the evolution of public policies and the issues at stake during half a century. In the second part we have made an inventory and a study of the tools that have been used in France and in several European countries for the assessment and planning of sports facilities for over fifty years. In the third part we have endeavoured to find some criteria for the further establishment of grids in order to evaluate demand and specify offer. Above all we have tried to show that the field of territorial sports development and sports facilities can no longer be considered as the sum of normative knowledge and technical skill but as a field open to scientific reflection with an interdisciplinary aspect
