Professor Jan Rowiński died on 2 January 2023 in Piaseczno (near Warsaw). He was a member of the Academic Council of the Centre of East Asian Studies at the University of Gdańsk and of the scholarly bi-annual journal Gdańsk East Asian Studies. Jan Rowiński was a professor of the University of Warsaw. As a scholar and a diplomat, he was concerned with China for most of his professional life. He wrote many scholarly articles and books on the politics, culture, and history of China, and his passion for these subjects inspired generations of undergraduates, doctoral students, and colleagues. Inter alia, he owed his knowledge of China and the Chinese to the experience of the many years he spent there first as a student and later as a diplomat. He was born on 11 May 1936 in Kiełpiny. From 1954 to 1959, he studied at the University of Beijing and at the Institute of Diplomacy in Beijing. From the beginning of his studies in Beijing he devoted his entire professional life to the study of East Asia, especially China. He witnessed the transformations that took place in China, and observed the changes in the structures of power there. China had a considerable influence on his way of life. It is difficult to overestimate his contribution to research into that part of the world. His professional life ran on two tracks: on one hand, in diplomacy; on the other, in the academic world. As an employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he worked in the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beijing. Between 1995 and 2001, he was counsellor-minister plenipotentiary and deputy ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the People’s Republic of China. From 1969, he was connected with the Polish Institute of International Affairs, where he held several academic posts, and after completing his habilitation in 1987 was appointed professor there. In 2002, he became professor at the Institute of International Relations of the University of Warsaw in the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, where he worked until 2013. At the University of Warsaw, he conducted classes on the foreign policies of China and Japan, the history and civilization of East Asia, and international relations in the Asia-Pacific region. He supervised the work of many doctoral students and reviewed doctoral and post-doctoral dissertations. For his achievements, Professor Rowiński was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Gold Cross of Merit.

Depuis près de quarante ans, Kenneth White travaille à travers l'essai, le récit et le poème à l'élaboration d'une oeuvre poétique et théorique qui ouvre sur un projet culturel d'envergure : l'Institut international de géopoétique. Par une approche qui se veut résolument interne, se situant au-dedans de son paysage physique et mental, on cherche ici à retracer le parcours suivi par ce scoto-français, depuis son enfance sur le rivage écossais jusqu'à l'élaboration du concept de géopoétique. Consacrée à l'espace premier, la première partie met en lumière l'archéologie de la vocation du poète. Il est question de cette expérience fondamentale et fondatrice du dehors qui conduit à une première tentative de synthèse : l'élaboration du monde blanc, entendu comme le plus haut degré que puisse atteindre un individu dans son rapport au monde et un possible mythe moderne capable de fournir un nouveau fondement culturel. La deuxième partie se concentre sur l'un des enjeux majeurs de l'oeuvre : comment sortir de la poésie du moi et de la poésie du mot pour entrer dans une poétique du monde? En suivant les chemins de recherche et la méthode de travail de White, on aborde le surnihilisme et le nomadisme intellectuel, deux de ses concepts fertiles, qui ouvrent, après une culturanalyse radicale et la recherche de foyers culturels inspirants (le champ celte, le monde primitif et l'Orient) sur un nouvel espace mental et culturel. La troisième partie la grande cohérence- explore les champs de réalisation : l'oeuvre organique et le projet géopolotique, mouvement culturel majeur qui concerne les fondements mêmes de l'existence de l'homme sur la Terre. A l'issue de cette étude, il s'avère que la trajectoire de White est l'une des plus significatives, en tout cas, des plus stimulantes du XXe siècle apporte une réponse à notre questionnement de départ : comment obtenir le plus de vie possible?
For about forty years, Kenneth White has been working out and working at - via prose, poetry and essays - not only a poetical but a theoretical « opus » which is opening on a wide-ranging cultural movement : the International Institute of Geopoetics. As what is counting in a poet is what lie gets back to, and what lie goes out to, we will explore, the complex field generated between those two poles. In our first part entitled the primal space, we will put forward the initial premises on the Scottish ground,that experience of the earth which leads to the concept of white world. Then we will explore, on our second part called ways of research and method of working, the new mental and cultural space Kenneth White, as a cosmographer, is maping out, bringing old mental landscape to life again (celtic field, hamanism, Easter thought and practice) and sheding new light on them. New concepts such as supernihilism and intellectual nomadism will be fully explained as being partsof the integral poetics way. In the third part, entitled the great coherence, we will study the whole organic work, seen as an opus cosmopoeticum, and the concept and cultural movement of geopoetics which is concerned by the fundamental question : the earth, how to live on it, how to life along with it ? The idea is to augment both sensation of life and sense of world, which a way to answer Thoreau's question : « how to get the most life ?». These thesis provides the real opportunity to see, from inside, the whole White picture : his thought-path, his teaching, his poetics, his way of being in the world. It looks as if not only a new poetic field, a new literary space, but the beginning of a new culture, at least, a new cultural context is emerging on the horizon

La question de l'oiseau dans la poésie contemporaine se pose avec une certaine évidence. Impossible, semble-t-il, d'ouvrir un recueil de poèmes sans tomber à de nombreuses reprises sur des références explicites à l'oiseau : à son vol bien sûr, mais aussi à son chant, à sa présence discrète mais permanente. Comment expliquer cette re��currence dans la production contemporaine ? Et qu'est-ce qui constitue la singularité de l'oiseau dans le règne animal ? Après avoir justifié le rapprochement des trois poètes de notre corpus, nous avons fondé notre travail selon des perspectives analogiques et transdisciplinaires. Renouant à un certain degré avec la mystique médiévale, la poésie cherche les frontières de l'homme dans l'univers-macrocosme. L'oiseau, qui semble une limite ultime pour le psychisme humain, nous permet de redéfinir l'animalité selon un principe de "consanguinité" (Saint-John Perse). Contre la propension moderne à l'émiettement, au dispersé, au catalogique, cette pensée analogique à l'œuvre dans la production poétique de nos auteurs, cherche à reconstituer la trame et à "recoudre l'univers". La dimension métaphysique, souvent non revendiquée chez nos poètes, reste ainsi constamment sous-jacente. Au-delà d'une lecture du réel qui s'appuie sur la précision de la science, une "autre dimension", proche de l'Ouvert rilkéen, imprègne leurs œuvres. L'oiseau, à travers les motifs du vol et du chant, dessine alors les contours d'une poétique liée à la modernité esthétique
The question of the bird in contemporary poetry seems to be obvious. It's really impossible to open a collection of poems without seeing lots of explicit references to the bird : his fly, his singing, and his discreet but permanent presence. How to explain this recurrence in contemporary production ? And what's the foundation of the bird's particularity in the animal kingdom ? After justifying the connection of the three poets of our corpus, we based our work on analogical and transdiciplinary viewpoints. Reviving the medieval mysticism, poetry looks for the limits of human nature in the world-macrocosm. The bird, that seems the last limit for the human psychism, allows us to redefine animality in accordance with a principle of "consanguinity" (Saint-John Perse). Against the modern proclivity to dispersion and catalogue, this analogical thought circulating in the poems of our authors, wants to reconstruct the weft, to "sew up the universe". The metaphysical dimension, that is not often clearly claimed by our poets, is always underlying. Beyond a description of the real world, that is leaning on the precision of the science, another dimension, verging on rilkean "Ouvert", impregnates their works. The bird, through the patterns of the flight and the singing, draws the lines of poetics linked by aesthetic modernity

Pastor Adolf Friedrich Martin Thomsen (* 30. Mai 1901 in Rendsburg; † 04. März 1997 in Flensburg) war ein deutscher Pastor und Rektor der evangelisch-lutherischen Diakonissenanstalt in Flensburg. Thomsen war ein leitendes Mitglied der Bekennenden Kirche in Flensburg und positionierte sich gegen die Gleichschaltung der Kirche. Im Oktober 1936 war er Mitveranstalter der Evangelischen Woche in Flensburg.

The chapter examines five prominent Czech thinkers whose works contributed to the issue of Central European integration. These key figures are discussed chronologically. First, the life and work of František Palacký (1798–1876) is presented. A politician, writer and the founder of modern Czech history, Palacký contributed significantly to the political life of the nineteenth century through the question of cooperation between the Slavic peoples of the Habsburg Monarchy; the relationship of the Czech lands to German integration; and later to the Compromise of 1867. Another important figure is the politician and Czechoslovak Prime Minister Karel Kramář (1860–1937), who based his ideas on close cooperation with Russia and developed the concept of the Slavic Empire. Although the Czechoslovak President Edvard Beneš (1884–1948) is often mentioned primarily in connection with the events of 1938 (Munich Agreement), the expulsion of Germans from Czechoslovakia and 1948 (Communist putsch), Beneš had advocated the unification of the European area as a barrier against the hardships of war. These concepts were manifested not only in the Paris Peace Conference and proposals within the League of Nations, but also in the formation of the Little Entente during the interwar period and negotiations for the Czechoslovak–Polish Confederation during the Second World War. However, Beneš’s ideas ulti- mately failed thanks to France’s incompetence and the expansionism of the Soviet Union, which he underestimated. Another prominent integrationist theorist was the politician and national economist Jaromír Nečas (1888–1945), who developed the United States of Europe thesis and whose efforts at a peaceful solution to the Sudeten crisis are often overlooked. Czechoslovak and Czech president, playwright, and dissident Václav Havel (1936–2011) provided a philosophical dimension to the integration issue. Havel actively sought the early integration of Eastern Europe into Western European structures and was also the main initiator of close cooperation with Hungary and Poland, understanding the Euro-Atlantic orientation of the former socialist countries as a necessity. He simultaneously pointed out the mistakes that were gaining negative assessments, especially for the European Union. This chapter presents the aforementioned thinkers’ life stories and summarises their crucial works and speeches, illustrating their contribution to Central European integration.

Nesse trabalho abordaremos práticas de educação ambiental desenvolvidas na educação básica. Faremos uma reflexão intercalando elementos teóricos que tangem à educação ambiental e ensino de História com as práticas desenvolvidas em salas de aula. Destacaremos algumas ações na perspectiva da História Ambiental, tais como: minicurso sobre o conceito de sustentabilidade tendo como estratégia a compreensão conceitual a partir da experiência desenvolvida pela comunidade Caldeirão da Santa Cruz do Deserto liderada pelo Beato José Lourenço, em Crato, entre os anos de 1926 a 1936. Minicurso sobre epidemias e pandemias, ressaltando a relação homem/natureza e seu papel ativo na disseminação das doenças, buscando identificar semelhanças de como a sociedade e o poder público tem encarado as epidemias em diversos momentos históricos. A produção de vídeo sobre o Rio Grangeiro tendo-o como elemento chave para trabalhar a degradação dos rios, os impactos da poluição ambiental e a especulação imobiliária como agente potencializador do desmatamento, poluição dos rios e nascentes. Trilha ecológica no Sítio Fundão, importante Unidade de Conservação, dentro da qual corre o Rio Batateira. A trilha se constituiu como instrumento metodológico para sensibilizar os alunos da necessidade de cuidar do meio ambiente rompendo com a visão homem versus natureza, enxergando os entrelaçamentos entre essas duas esferas. Oficina de réplicas de fósseis, destacando a importância de seu estudo, preservação e combate ao tráfico ilegal de fósseis. As ações pedagógicas possibilitaram aos estudantes conhecer como se deu a relação do homem com o meio ambiente, do início da colonização ao tempo presente, no município de Crato, e identificar os impactos ambientais decorrentes desse processo colonizador. Norteamos as atividades numa postura crítica evitando uma visão romântica do desenvolvimento sustentável no turismo (MESQUITA 2006), ressaltando os impactos ambientais do turismo ecológico (RUSCHMANN, 1992) contribuindo para a formação de uma compreensão crítica por parte dos estudantes.

The article examines a comparative analysis of the hypothetical image of Troyan in The Tale of Igor’s Campaign and Alexander Kondratiev’s sonnet cycle Slavic Gods (1936). Being well versed in various interpretations of the mysterious image by Medievalists, the poet gave unconditional preference to the mythological direction. An inspirational example for him was the book of Pyotr Buturlin Sonnets (1895). During the period of 20 years of residence in the Volyn city of Dorogobuzh, Kondratiev studied local legends both in the folklore existence and in the presentation of Polish authors Jan Dlugosh (15 c.) and Alexander Brückner (his contemporary). An analysis of Kondratiev’s three sonnets Earth I, Earth II and Troyan showed that despite the absence of direct borrowings from The Tale of Igor’s Campaign, the author did not renounce the old Slavic gods, but tried to extract from pagan mythology inherent in it bright figurative plasticity, generously supplementing it with his own poetic fantasy.

is article attempts to reconstruct the main events that characterize the initial stage of the 90-year history of higher historical education in Veliky Novgorod. e training of historians and history teachers in Veliky Novgorod began on October 1, 1932 on the basis of the Novgorod State Pedagogical Institute. But until now, due to the insu cient number of surviving sources, the period 1932–1936 has been poorly studied by researchers. During this period, the institute was transformed from pedagogical to teaching, the term of student training decreased from 4 years to 2 years, the status of the institute departments responsible for training history students changed, the sta of teachers of the history department changed, curricula changed, the number of students studying at the history department/faculty of history of the institute. In the article, on the basis of information extracted from sources rst introduced into scienti c circulation, all the transformations that determined the goals and content of higher historical education in Veliky Novgorod in 1932–1936 are considered in chronological order.

В статье раскрыты тенденции изменения значений показателей одного из интегральных показателей степени увлажненности территорий - гидротермического коэффициента Г.Т. Селянинова за период 1936 - 2021 гг. В статье отмечено, что в последние годы, наблюдается нарушение однородности рядов наблюдений, на этом основании было выявлено время изменения тенденций рассматриваемого показателя. Установлено, что за период заметных климатических изменений на территории республики обнаруживается тенденция к увеличению значений гидротермического коэффициента.
