Streszczenie:
Data have shapes, and human intelligence and perception have to classify the forms of data to understand and interpret them. This article uses a sliding window technique and the main aim is to answer two questions. Is there an opportunity window in time series of stock exchange index? The second question is how to find a way to use the opportunity window if there is one. The authors defined the term opportunity window as a window that is generated in the sliding window technique and can be used for forecasting. In analysis, the study determined the different frequencies and explained how to evaluate opportunity windows embedded using time series data for the S&P 500, the DJIA, and the Russell 2000 indices. As a result, for the S&P 500 the last days of the patterns 0111, 1100, 0011; for the DJIA the last days of the patterns 0101, 1001, 0011; and finally for the Russell 2000, the last days of the patterns 0100, 1001, 1100 are opportunity windows for prediction

Abstract We investigate the dependence of material and electrical properties on the growth temperature of in situ SiN x on InAlGaN/GaN heterostructures grown by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition. Degradation of the interface between SiN x and InAlGaN layer was observed when growth temperature is below 900 °C or above 1100 °C. With the optimized SiN x growth temperature, the high-quality SiN x and low interface trap density can be realized. Thus, the double-sweep capacitance–voltage measurement showed a sharp transition from charge accumulation to depletion with low hysteresis of 0.09 V. A small threshold-voltage shift after gate bias stress (1001 s) was also characterized by I–V measurement.

Streszczenie:
The study zone includes one of the largest montane old-growth forests in Europe (Slatioara UNESCO site), and understanding the structure and functioning of sill intact forests in Europe is essential for grounding management strategies for secondary forests. For this reason, we set out to analyze the dependencies between aboveground biomass (AgB), tree species and size diversity and terrain morphology, as well as the relationship between biomass and diversity, since neither of these issues have been sufficiently explored. We found that tree species diversity decreases with increased solar radiation and elevation. Tree size heterogeneity reaches its highest mean values at elevations between 1001 and 1100 m, on slopes between 50 and 60 degrees. AgB is differentiated with elevation; the highest mean AgB (293 tonnes per hectare) is recorded at elevations between 801 and 900 m, while it decreases to 79 tonnes per hectare at more than 1500 m a.s.l. It is also influenced by tree species diversity and tree size heterogeneity, with the highest AgB reached in the most complex forest ecosystems in terms of structural diversity. We showed that intact temperate montane forests develop maximum biomass for optimum species diversity and highest size heterogeneity; all three are modulated mainly by elevation.

Background: Non-communicable diseases like DM2, cardiac diseases, chronic respiratory disorders, brain disorders like stroke have created a havoc in developing countries, especially India which harbors 2nd largest population in the world. The present study was planned in this area to capture the data regarding epidemiology, risk factors of DM2, and use this information to plan health program to formulate effective preventive measures, including raising general awareness about the disease in that geographical area. Methods: The present cross sectional study was carried out in population of Karad area of Satara district in Maharashtra state. The study duration was of 1 year, from 1st February 2018 to 1st February 2019.Results: Out of total 1100 study population in the present study, 99 (9%) were diagnosed as diabetics (DM2) while 1001 were normal/non-diabetics. Majority of the diabetic patients were of the age group 41 to 50 years. Females (47%) showed slightly more prevalence of diabetes as compared to males (53%). Majority of the diabetic patients were having sedentary lifestyle, which consisted of 69 patients (70%), which was statistically significant, as compared to non-diabetic group. Conclusion: Thus, findings of the present study amply clarifies that DM2 is on longer a disease of urban population. Its prevalence is increasing in rural population, as well. Lack of awareness, sedentary lifestyle, faulty dietary habits, etc. are some of the reasons for such high prevalence.

Streszczenie:
The article deals with constructing an asset accounting process and an algorithm for recognizing an object as an asset. The main approaches to the reflection of cryptocurrency in financial accounting are analyzed. The study showed that International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) still lack specific clarifications on the correctness of accounting and recognition of cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies are suggested to be recognized as, intangible assets on the one hand, and as inventories, on the other. The research shows that before starting the process of accounting for any asset, it is necessary to determine, whether such a resource meets the definition of an asset. The article proves that cryptocurrency is an asset. However, attaching cryptocurrency to a certain group of assets turns out to be rather problematic. The main approaches to doing it are analyzed. Speaking formally, cryptocurrency is considered to be cash or cash equivalents. Cash and cryptocurrencies have been compared, and the main distinguishing features of these two assets have been considered. The conclusion is made that cryptocurrency should be evaluated at fair value, indicating the date of evaluation to fix actual market conditions. The measure of cryptocurrency when reflected in the financial reporting is the US dollar or its equivalent in the national currency as at the balance sheet date. The research has shown that depending on the type of the enterprise activity, cryptocurrency should be determined in the financial reporting, or the «balance sheet», as «intangible assets» (line code 1000), and the primary value of such an asset corresponds to line 1001, or inventories (line code 1100). Also, if the company’s accounting policy states that cryptocurrency is a financial investment, it should be reflected in line 1160.

Streszczenie:
Abstract Our collaborative research (Cell1) used 1001 patients of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) to show that genetic alterations interact with clinical factors to impact overall survival (OS) in DLBCL. B cell receptor (BCR) signaling-driven activated B cell-like (ABC) DLBCL subtypes is the most chemo-resistant subtype to the frontline therapy R-CHOP, with 40% of patients experiencing no response or relapse. We have systematically examined disparities in lymphoma outcomes and identified African-American (AA) patients as a poor-risk population in DLBCL, with a diagnosis age 10 years younger than other racial groups. We found that AA-DLBCL patients experienced inferior 5-year OS compared to non-Hispanic whites (38% vs 46%)2,3. We performed the first-ever characterization of genetic alterations among AA-DLBCL patients and demonstrated distinct mutation patterns across DLBCL arising in AA ancestry groups4. While some of the most frequent genetic mutations in AA-DLBCL are related to chromatin and epigenetics, few studies have investigated racial disparities in patients with aggressive ABC DLBCLs. The mechanisms that determine this racial inequality are unknown but may lie in the particular spectrum of mutations that act in concert with intricate survival signals imparted by the lymph node tumor microenvironment (Ly-TME). The pathogenesis of ABC DLBCLs has been linked to constitutive activation of and cooperation between the BCR and Toll-like receptor (TLR) pathways. These pathways are emerging as novel therapeutic targets, with a particular interest in MALT1 (mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue translocation protein 1). However, the genetic heterogeneity of ABC DLBCLs and the cooperative signaling mediated by the Ly-TME have led to discrepancies in drug responses. As a first step towards understanding Ly-TME in DLBCLs (Nature Materials5), we used DLBCL patient samples from multiple cohorts, covering >1100 samples and imaging analysis to determine immune and ECM cues in the lymphoid TME. These samples were not classified into racial categories. We designed a biomaterials-based modular lymphoma organoid that presents specific integrin ligands at controlled densities to DLBCLs. Human ABC-DLBCLs responded to MALT1 inhibition in an integrin-ligand-dependent manner. TLR activation with TLR agonists rescued cells from MALT1 inhibitors, possibly due to increased MALT1 expression. The inclusion of T-cell signals increased MALT1 expression and rescued cells from MALT1 inhibitor-mediated killing in cell lines and human PDX organoids. Changes in RNA-seq and phosphorylation in the TLR & BCR pathways were used to inform effective combination therapy approaches with MALT1 inhibitors in vitro and in vivo5. Ongoing work is determining the racial disparities in AA lymphomas through complex interactions between Ly-TME and DLBCLs. References: (1) Cell 171, 481-494.e415 (2017) (2). Streszczenie:
Abstract. A precise synchronization of different climate records is indispensable for a correct dynamical interpretation of paleoclimatic data. A chronology for the TALDICE ice core from the Ross Sea sector of East Antarctica has recently been presented based on methane synchronization with Greenland and the EDC ice cores and δ18Oice synchronization with EDC in the bottom part (TALDICE-1). Using new high-resolution methane data obtained with a continuous flow analysis technique, we present a refined age scale for the age interval from 55–112 thousand years (ka) before present, where TALDICE is synchronized with EDC. New and more precise tie points reduce the uncertainties of the age scale from up to 1900 yr in TALDICE-1 to below 1100 yr over most of the refined interval and shift the Talos Dome dating to significantly younger ages during the onset of Marine Isotope Stage 3. Thus, discussions of climate dynamics at sub-millennial time scales are now possible back to 110 ka, in particular during the inception of the last ice age. Calcium data of EDC and TALDICE are compared to show the impact of the refinement to the synchronization of the two ice cores not only for the gas but also for the ice age scale.
