Abstract:This article uses recent findings about the diversity of political organization in Archaic and Classical Greece beyond Athens, and methodological considerations about the role of civic Hestia in oligarchic communities, to add sharpness to current work on the political contextualization of Classical enkomiastic poetry. The two works considered here remind us of the epichoric political significance of such poetry, because of their attunement to two divergent oligarchic contexts. They thus help to get us back to specific fifth-century political as well as culturalRealien.

In the oeuvre of Szymon Szymonowic, an outstanding Polish poet of the late Renaissance, Latin works occupy a prominent place, which led to him being called the Polish Pindar. One of his works is the tragedy Penthesileia that continues the themes of the Trojan myth. Printed for the first time in Zamość (1618), the work was not fully translated until 1778. Parts of the work were translated later. The latest translation by Elwira Buszewicz combines a vocabulary understandable to modern readers with a desire to reproduce the poetic artistry of the Latin original and a solid philological commentary. The bilingual edition with parallel printing of the Latin and Polish texts, which makes it possible to follow the translation continuously, was preceded by an extensive scholarly introduction. Its author outlined the state of research on Penthesileia and pointed out the antecedents of the theme of the Amazons in Greek, Roman, medieval, and modern literary traditions.

The main aim of this paper is to present and analyse an ode by the Flemish Jesuit Sidronius Hosschius (Sidronius [or Syderoen] de Hossche, 1596–1653) to “the Sarmatian Horace”Mathias Casimirus Sarbievius (Maciej Kazimierz Sarbiewski, 1595–1640). This eulogy has often been viewed as a masterpiece. In addition, it has two distinct versions: one published in a collection of poems in honour of Sarbievius (the socalled Epicitharisma), first printed in an edition of his oeuvre in 1632, and one in the collective volume of Hosschius’s own works issued posthumously in 1656. Both versions were first published by the famous Plantin-Moretus printing house in Antwerp. The paper consists of three sections. The first one focuses on the relationship between Hosschius and Sarbievius and on the Nachleben of Hosschius’s ode. The second section offers a general analysis of the poem. Tracing the contents of Hosschius’s ode and its sources of inspiration, it argues that Hor. Carm. IV 2 is central to the poem’s understanding. The third section discusses the differences between the two versions, in an attempt to disclose why the poem was altered and how the changes influence the ode’s meaning. A number of larger changes affect the poem’s central message: while in the earlier version Sarbievius is said to outdo Pindar and even Horace, the later version is more cautious. All it does is admit that Sarbievius could perhaps equal Pindar and Orpheus. Hosschius’s eulogy and the reception of Sarbievius through his composition have two different traditions: 1) the one found in most editions of Sarbievius’s works, where the poem basically proclaims him to be the best Latin lyricist of all time, thereby tying in with other laudatory contributions and promoting both Sarbievius’s oeuvre and the editions themselves, and 2) the one added to Hosschius’s own poetry, where the adjusted version—which contains more references to ancient literature and which could be called more personal, as well as, perhaps, more realistic—became a fan favourite. In both instances, however, the reinterpretation of the psychological effect of poetry—the translation of furor poeticus from the author to the reader—and the re-evaluation of the concept of aemulatio could be the main reason why Hosschius’s ode was so highly valued.

The scholiasts offer two different dates for the Pythian victory of the Theban Thrasydaios celebrated in Pindar's eleventh Pythian ode: 474 or 454 bce. Following several older scholars, I accept the latter date, mainly because Pindar's myth in this poem is a mini-Oresteia, teeming with what seem to be echoes of the language, plotting, and sequencing of Aischylos' trilogy of 458 bce, as well as allusions to the genre of tragedy in general. Yet even those scholars who have argued for such a dialogue between these two works are at something of a loss to explain it, except as Pindar's admiring homage to the genius of Aischylos. Such accounts reveal the inadequacy of a reading that assumes a narrowly literary system of intertextuality. In order to account for this intertextual, intergeneric dialogue, we need instead to recognize the embeddedness of choral lyric and tragedy within their social and cultural contexts, and their differential relations with “neighboring systems” such as cult ritual. I will argue that Pindar implicitly challenges the tendency of Attic tragedy to displace and appropriate for its own purposes cults that properly belong to other Greek cities. Pindar, in contrast, in Pythian 11 emphasizes the locality and specificity of different communities' relations to the heroes of myth and cult as an important part of traditional choral and civic harmonia. Thus I will argue that these two texts are engaged in a contestatory ritual poetics about the locality and propriety of cult and its relation to the community as mediated through different choral forms.

Abstract:This article offers a close reading of Pindar's lacunose fr. 140b S.-M. and explores the evidence it includes for Pindar's contributions to contemporary debates and polemics in late sixth- and early fifth-century musical culture concerning, among other things, harmonics, tonal ranges, instrumentation and the boundaries between different genres. By reading the contents of the fragment against the backdrop of other works from the period that similarly engage in these issues and the later revisionary accounts of the questions first raised by the author-musicians of the early classical age, I show how the diction, imagery and structure of the work are designed to position Pindar as one among the current choral innovators. In the discussion's final part, I address the question of the genre to which the piece belongs and propose some fresh ways of addressing this still outstanding matter. At several points, the article also considers some relevant visual evidence.

The article provides a general description of the image of friend and enemy in early Greek lyrics. First of all, the author defines the specificity of the key lexemes of the ancient Greek language for the studied concepts, namely φίλος, and ἐχθρὸς, emphasizing their diversity, ambiguity, “untranslatability” and contextuality. This situation is also connected with the presence of a kind of “dictionary” of both friendship and enmity in the language of the ancient Greeks. It is proved that the source of the designation of a person as a “friend/enemy” for the early Greek lyricists was the work of the archaic epic, namely the works of Homer and Hesiod since both epics and lyricists noted that both gods and humans can be friends. At the same time, it is emphasized that the possibility of friendly relations with the transcendent was widespread in the ancient Near Eastern tradition. By examining the works of such early Greek lyricists as Alcmaeon, Anacreon, Bacchylides, Pindar, Sappho, and Theognis, it is proved that the image of a friend is dual, according to the use of one or another lexeme φίλος or ἑταῖρος. Φίλος denoted a friend with whom a person has a spiritual/emotional affinity, although this did not exclude usefulness, while ἑταῖρος determined the relationship between the mundane and everyday. This distinction between friendship and kinship was also due to the reflections of the pre-Socratics, as they contributed to this clarification by arguing that there are conditions for friendship that do not necessarily exist between family and friends. It has been proved that enemies in the context of the works of the lyricists of the pre-classical period of ancient culture exist not only in the relations between people but also between certain mythological characters. The Greek poets of the pre-classical period did not hate the enemy as such only for some atrocities, but it was a mutual feeling. One was not at odds with a person blindly, thoughtlessly, but because of the corresponding (in)action with which this or that person was associated. The image of the enemy has not only a negative meaning, since negative, sometimes even cruel feelings will be felt towards him, but also positive and friendly ones, if he really deserves it.

The article examines the peculiarities in the formation of the Orpheus mythologeme in the ancient cultural tradition. An analysis of the works of ancient authors, including Pindar, Aeschylus, Euripides, Apollonius of Rhodes, Virgil and Ovid allows to single out the specifics of creating the image of Orpheus. The latter is seen by the above-mentioned authors not only as a poet and musician who had lost his beloved Eurydice, but also as the founder of cult rites known as Orphic mysteries. “Orphism” as a system of religious and philosophical views became most widespread in the era of Peisistratus in the 6th century BC in Attica. Dionysus, revered by the Orphic, was important for farmers as a deity of eternal rebirth and powerful natural forces. In the ancient cultural tradition, the image of Orpheus develops under a double sign: both Apollo and Dionysus. The ideas of Orphic philosophy can be found in the religious and philosophical teachings of the Pythagorean school and in the writings of Plato. The original transformation of the Orphic-Pythagorean ideas and the mythologeme of Orpheus occurs in Virgil’s Georgics and Ovid’s Metamorphoses, which are also the subject of this article. The comparative historical analysis of artworks and philosophical treatises of antiquity carried out in the course of this study indicates that the mythologeme of Orpheus in the ancient cultural tradition is an example of the embodiment of the syncretic unity of art and religion in the archaic consciousness.

The article explores the question of how the ideas about the source of creativity were been changing among European thinkers. In the classical period in Ancient Greece the idea prevailed, coming from Homer, Hesiod and Pindar, that poets derive the content and form of poetic works from Muses, who give them the opportunity to create at their will. At the same time, a common place was the idea that poets do not always bring the truth to the world. Plato, analyzing the work of poets, speaks of two sources – pleasure and inspiration, but only the gods choose when the poet speaks on their behalf. He also clarified the content of poetry by relating it to the different Muses. Aristotle moves away from an external source, placing the source of creativity in the creator of the work, who obtains special abilities, and Aristotle calls imitation (mimesis) the main mode of creativity. Yet at the same time he takes imitation as not limited by visible reality, since the poet speaks of what could have happened, not of what actually has happened. Christian thinkers, from apologists to scholastics and mystics, agree that God is the source of creativity. But their views differ considerably in the details. Thus, for instance, in Thomas Aquinas works we find a peculiar synthesis of the Aristotelian concept of mimesis and Plato’s breakthrough to the divine. The Renaissance desacralization of the world ultimately leads to an exclusively rational conception of association, which allows us to explain the emergence of the new only as the creation of wrong associations. Kant, turning to the theme of genius, finds himself in a difficult situation between two positions: on the one hand, he cannot accept the traditional idea of divine inspiration, on the other hand, the purely empirical idea of association built on tabula rasa material. He had to find some third way. He finds it in the a priori given principle of the ability to think the particular as subordinate to the general, which manifests itself in two aspects – as determining and as reflective. The poet has an idea of some goal and some indeterminate idea of the material and, guided by his genius and not limited by any rules, freely expresses aesthetic ideas.

This article treats representations of victors in the Greek athletic games in the artistic and poetic media of the early classical age, and argues that fifth-century sculptors, painters and poets similarly constructed the athlete as an object designed to arouse desire in audiences for their works. After reviewing the very scanty archaeological evidence for the original victory images, I seek to recover something of the response elicited by these monuments by looking to visualizations of athletes in contemporary vase-painting and literary sources, and most particularly in the epinician odes of Pindar. Poets and painters, I suggest, both place their subjects within an erotically-charged atmosphere which replicates that surrounding actual athletes in the city gymnasia and at the games, and encourage audiences to regard the youthful bodies on display as "spectacularized" objects, sources of both aesthetic and sensual pleasure. The makers of monumental images work within the same paradigm, also prompting the viewer to transfer the sentiments aroused by the real-world athlete and victor to his re-presentation in bronze. Through an examination of the conventions used for victor images, and a close study of the so-called Motya charioteer, I propose that the sculptor deploys techniques analogous to those of artist and poet to highlight the appeal of the athlete's body, and displays the victor in a mode calculated not only to mark him as the alluring target of the gaze, but even to cast him as a potential erômenos. The concluding section of the article investigates the impetus behind this mode of representation, and seeks to place the dynamic between the viewer and the viewed within the context of the early fifth-century polis.

The description of god as phthoneros (‘envious’, ‘jealous’, ‘grudging’) in the works of Pindar, Aeschylus, and Herodotus has played an important role in the later understanding of archaic and classical Greek religion. This paper explores the genesis and development of several interpretations of the Greek concept of φθόνος θεῶν that have arisen since the Renaissance, and how these relate to wider debates on the relationship between Christianity and ‘paganism’, including the ‘jealous God’ of Scripture. I outline three principal approaches to the topic. First, a Platonizing or Christianizing interpretation whereby divine phthonos is god’s moral disapproval of human ‘hubris’, impiety, or arrogance and thus a form of ‘divine justice’; second, a ‘Paganizing’ interpretation, whereby divine phthonos is an immoral resentment of human success or simply a hostility towards humanity, and represents an essential difference between the ‘moral’ theology of Christianity and ‘amoral’ pagan theology; third, a ‘developmental’ explanation posited in the late Enlightenment (and later popularized in a different form by anthropologists and philologists) as part of a thesis for the religious development of mankind as a whole. In this third view, divine phthonos was initially an ‘amoral’ emotion, felt by the gods of ‘primitive’ religious systems, but the concept was ‘purified’ in the course of the Greeks’ theological development, so that divine phthonos became a ‘moral’ response to hybris. By exploring the intellectual climate which gave rise to each of these interpretations, I trace the origins of the tacit but total disagreement over the meaning of ‘divine phthonos’ in classical scholarship today, and encourage a return to the long-standing debates about a theme at the heart of Herodotus’s Histories and our understanding of Greek religion more generally.

Статья посвящается анализу ряда исследований, касающихся мифологемы Гипербореи и появившихся в зарубежной научной литературе в последнее десятилетие (2010-2020 гг.) В России тема Гипербореи до известной степени дискредитирована интересом к ней многочисленных эзотериков и националистов; в зарубежных изданиях интерес к данной теме, однако, не затухает. Норвежский филолог П. Сандин вскрывает культурно-политическую подоплеку древних концепций географической принадлежности Гипербореи, в т. ч. Пиндара, намеренно сделавшего из гиперборейцев своего рода «антискифов». Плодом кропотливой работы Сандина стал подробнейший каталог гиперборейцев, упомянутых в античной литературе от Пиндара и Геродота до византийских грамматиков и историков. Польский историк Я. Хохоровски на основании археологических материалов делает предположение, что «гипербореями» делосцы называли народы, жившие с северной стороны Карпат, в бассейне Вислы и Варты. Белградские ученые А. Палавестра и М. Милосавлевич демонстрируют, как легко может стать политически ангажированной любая версия географической принадлежности Гипербореи. Делают они это на примерах М. Васича, отождествившего Гиперборею с открытой им древнейшей цивилизацией Винча, М. Будимира, узнавшего в гипербореях славян, и Д. Гарашанина, локализовавшего Гиперборею в Подунавье. Итальянский религиовед М. Интровинье вскрывает эзотерические основания костариканского национализма, обращающегося к гипербореанской метафорике для обоснования исключительности своей нации. Дж. Арнольд (Варшава) анализирует концепцию Гипербореи в творчестве основоположника традиционализма Р. Генона. Л. Уэбб (Гётеборг) исследует способы бытования мифов о Туле и Гиперборее в римской литературе от Катулла до Сидония Аполлинария. The article is devoted to the analysis of a number of studies concerning the myth of Hyperborea that appeared in foreign scientific literature in the last decade (2010-2020). In Russia, the topic of Hyperborea is to a certain extent discredited by the interest of numerous esotericists and nationalists; in foreign publications, however interest in this topic does not fade. The Norwegian philologist P. Sandin reveals the cultural and political background of the ancient concepts of the geographical affiliation of Hyperborea, for example, that of Pindar, who deliberately made a kind of «anti-Scythians» out of the Hyperboreans. The fruit of Sandin's painstaking work was a detailed catalog of the Hyperboreans mentioned in ancient literature from Pindar and Herodotus to Byzantine grammarians and historians. The Polish historian J. Chokhorowski, on the basis of archaeological materials, makes the assumption that the Delians called the peoples who lived on the northern side of the Carpathians, in the basin of the Vistula and Warta, «Hyperboreans». Belgrade scientists A. Palavestra and M. Milosavlevich demonstrate how easily any version of the geographical affiliation of Hyperborea can become politically engaged. They do this on the examples of M. Vasich, who identified Hyperborea with the discovered by him ancient civilization of Vinch; M. Budimir, who recognized the Slavs in Hyperborea; D. Garashanin, who placed Hyperborea in the Danube. The Italian religious scholar M. Introvigne reveals the esoteric foundations of Costa Rican nationalism, which turns to the Hyperborean metaphor to substantiate the exclusiveness of his nation. J. Arnold (Warsaw) analyzes the concept of Hyperborea in the works of the founder of traditionalism R. Guénon. L. Webb (Gothenburg) explores the ways in which the myths of Thule and Hyperborea were used in Roman literature from Catullus to Sidonius Apollinarius.

Abstract This article will discuss, in two separate parts, two different ancient commentaries on Pindar. The first, P. Berol. 13875, may be an abbreviated version of an original commentary of Didymos: the words πελε- / κυφ̣[ό]ρ̣αν ἵππον (P. Berol. 13875 ll. 9-10 = Pi. Fr. Dub. 339a M.) represent a fragment of Simonides, not of Pindar. The source of Schol. in Pi. N. 4.3/5 may be an abbreviated version of Theon’s commentary on Pindar. In the second part of the article, some passages of the P. Oxy. 2451 A Fr. 2, the second commentary, will be discussed. Pi. I. 3 and 4 are two different victory odes. Thematic similarities or repetitions of individual words between the end of a poem and beginning of the following poem can also be found in the corpus of other lyric poets, especially in Sappho. Only with the order of the manuscripts do the similarities and repetitions between the end of Pi. I. 3 and the beginning of Pi. I. 4 become clear: this may have been the intention of the original Alexandrian editors.

The Geological and Geomorphological study in Upper Ganga basin has been attempted in parts of de Uttarkashi,Chamoli, Pauri and Tehri districts, an area of 10000 Sq.kms in parts of QA sheet 53J and 53 N on 1:50000 scale of Garhwal Himalaya U.P has been covered presently known as Uttrakhand State of Union of India. Out of total area of study, an area about 3500 sq.Kms (1:50000 scale) has been selected for detailed Geological, Geomorphological and Sedimentological study. The area of Upper Ganga basin consisting of Alaknanda, Bhagirathi, Bhilangna, Nandakini, Mandakini, Pindar, Dhauli- Ganga Bal- Ganga, Madhmeshwar Ganga and Berhi Ganga. The Alaknanda is chracterised by six terraces followed by Bhagirathi with five terraces, Bhilangna Nandakini four terraces, Mandakini /Pindar/Dhauli-Ganga /Balganga three terraces, Madhmshwar Ganga two terraces and Berhi Ganga one terrace, amidst these Alaknanda is trunk stream and others are tributaries. Geomorphologically, the area is divided in to seven geomorphic units viz High relief formerly glaciated area, Structural hills, Denudational hills, Area of mass wasting, High level dissected fans River Terraces and Present day flood plain of Alaknanda and its tributaries. These units area developed in response to lithology to erosional land depositional activities and tectonic in which they are embedded. Each unit is characterized by distinct drainage, diagnostic geomorphic landform elements and features, photo charcters and morphogenetic expression. The other geomorphic features and elements identified in the area are point bar, channel bar, alluvial fans ,talus cone , rock cut terraces fan cut terraces , abandoned and fossil channel courses,epigenetic gorges, strant lines landslides, rock fall scree and scree slope, retreating scarp, abandoned cirque, cirque morines, arêtes, threshold, horn peak and glacial lake. The area genetically comprised of terraces of three domains, viz. glacial, fluvio-glacia and fluvial which represent distinct environment of sedimentation of Pleistocene, late Pleistocene and Holocene time during Quaternary period. The glacial terraces are identified at an average elevation of 1150 m above m.s.l. the fluvio-glacial terraces at an average elevation of 975 m above m.s.l. and fluvial terraces at an average elevation between 650 to 900 m above m.s.l. The Badrinath temple is situated in glaciated trough valley of Alaknanda, which comprise of, four levels of the glacial terraces (lateral moraine), cirque moraine on mountain flanks and the terminal moraine at the base of valley. whereas Kedarnath in the upstream of Mandakini, where number of well developed cirques were identified on high mountain, they are mostly arm chair shaped hollows with a steep to vertical head walls, concave floor and a threshold, these cirques are noticed at an average height of about 4500 m. The Kedarnath temple is situated in glaciated trough valley on quaternary platform formed by coalescing of cirque, lateral moraine and terminal moraine. The-Himalayan thrust like Central thrust Srinagar thrust, Alaknanda fault, Tons thrust show flattening dip suggesting that they lie at comparatively at shallow depth at short distance, down dip from their out crops, recent movements along the trace of these thrust/ faults are not of high and longer magnitude but have considerably affected Quaternary terraces of glacial, fluvio-glacial and fluvial domain of Alaknanda and its tributaries. Beside drainage, river bed profile, landscape architect and over all morphogenetic expression of the area, this bears the adverse impact of tectonic activity. The imprints of neotectonisam associated in the area indicate that these thrust /faults are active and have, signatures of sinking of landscape, mass wasting activities and posed neosiemic hazards and tectano-ecological problems, bears signatures of sinking of the area, mass wasting activities and neosiemic hazards. The geomophological study of the area, overall morphogenetic illustration, imprints of neotectonisam, disposition of terrces of different domains, mass wasting activities, drainage net, channel morphology, landform elements of glacial, fluvioglacial and fluvial domain of Alaknanda and its tributaries indicate that tectonically the area is active and slow movements are taking plae along thrust, faults and lineament. In the area North of Wazri in Jamuna valley, North of Uttarkashi around Sainj in Bhagirathi valley, around Tugnath and Chamoli and South of Joshimuth in Alaknanda valley revealed that there is sharp persistent curvilinear break in topography, which has geothermal manifestation at Wazri Gagnani anda Tugnath in the form of emitation of hot springs. This curvilinear line has further reconfigurated the neo stream net works system and affected morphogenetic expression it appears to be due to horizontal movement of sub - tectonic plate towards south, which, is sole collective and cumulative causative factor in dislocation of tectonic ecology of the area and has resulted micro earthquake shocksand and segmental sinkiking of area. The overall study revealed that the the area is sensitive active and is vulnerable to any techtono- seismic event it is matter of serious concerned and needs further attention.

AbstractInPyth. 2.52–5 Pindar describes Archilochus as ‘growing fat on dire words of hatred’. This article argues that Pindar portrays Archilochus as a glutton in the manner of iambic invective. A glutton is seen as a person who grows fat at the expense of others, and so fails in the matter of χάρις. In this light, Archilochus, the poet of blame, stands with Ixion in the poem as a negative paradigm, serving as a foil to Pindar's praise of Hieron. Praise is thus placed in a setting that recognizes its opposite: praise is only meaningful when seen in relation to blame. Pindar's poetry is not the product of gluttony; it is a return that offers a necessary recognition of excellence.

These works are the results of collaborative works between generations, which is represented by Tony Broer, theatre artist and Yola Yulfianti, choreographer and dance film artist. This collaboration has brought them, specifically Yola Yulfianti, to finding a new creative approach. These two works have brought a choreographer to a next level, becoming director. For an observer, these two works have shifted to become a work of theatre performance. By mastering technology and the artists’ sensitiveness to the environment, good works will be created in the spirit of multimedia.Tulisan ini adalah suatu refleksi terhadap praktik artistik seorang koreografer, khususnya dalam proses penciptaan pertunjukan yang berjudul “Cuy- Gimana Cara Nolong Elu Pindah dari Zaman BB ke Zaman Z” (2018) dan “Cuy- Gang X Tanah Tinggi” (2019). Karya-karya tersebut merupakan hasil upaya penciptaan yang sifatnya kolaboratif antargenerasi, yang diwakili Tony Broer, seorang pekerja teater, dan Yola Yulfianti, koreografer. Kerja kolaboratif ini membawa pada penemuan pendekatan kreatif baru. For this reason, an innovative tool is needed, namely the Smart Trash Can that is able to manage waste using a water sensor and determine the capacity and distance of the waste object using an ultrasonic sensor and can perform automatic control of the type of waste using a servo output. This Smart Trash can make it easier for users to manage waste on a small scale. How this tool works uses NodeMCU as a microcontroller to retrieve data generated by rain sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and micro servos. Because NodeMCU already has a wifi module, the data is sent to telegram for garbage notification and communication between trash bins.

Odes 4.8 is anomalous: its thirty-four lines are not a multiple of four. Most editors delete two or six lines, but this involves deleting at least one blameless line and disturbing the stanzaic structure of the poem. Instead mark a lacuna of two or six lines before the final couplet. The missing lines will have contained a prayer for Censorinus' immortality and some words of praise, thereby fulfilling the expectations raised earlier in the poem. Vota in 34 refers to Horace's prayer, which Bacchus fulfils as god of poetry. Finally, the conceit that uates potentes can in real terms immortalize or deify their subjects chimes in with a feature of Roman religion noted by A. D. Nock.

This research has observed workers in PT Pindad Persero and it purposes to know how correlation dynamic in groups, because the kind of works in this PT Pindad Persero is works that must be done in group. If one of workers cannot cooperate in doing work, the achieved result will not maximum and the relation between partners will not be harmony because there is an assignment load. The research method used is quantitative research with correlative analysis. Taking sample is done by using purposive technique sampling. The measurement tool used is attitude scale and Need Satisfaction Questioner (NSQ) from Porter (1961). The measurement tool is designed by using Likert scale producing the data with ordinal measurement level. The result of data analysis shows rs = -0,125. After doing significance test with test statistic, it is known that t= -0,88, it appropriates with test criteria. In conclusion, there is a correlation in this research but it not so significant, i.e., about 0,156 percent. Basing on processing the data, it concludes that getting higher the attitude of group cooperation is, getting higher the work satisfactory level will be.

The aim of this paper is to analyse 12 political cartoons published by Steve Bell in the left-wing oriented newspaper The Guardian to show how visual metaphors and metonymies and intertextual references are powerful strategies to present potent rhetorical depictions of political candidates and political issues. These devices are used to establish intertextual links across political cartoons and historical events, contemporary culture, paintings, literary works and illustrations. The themes that appear regularly in political cartoons have been identified, as well as a number of categories of source domains in visual metaphors. The analysis of the cartoons reveals that the interpretation of the cartoon and the appreciation of humour depend on the audience’s access to background knowledge, both of the political situation described in the cartoon and the intertextual references presented, on the audience’s ideology and on the decoding of the characteristics mapped onto the target of the metaphor.

Pinda taila, herbal medicated oil intended for vatarakta(gout) and daha(burning sensation) in Ayurvedicsystem of medicine. It is applied topically in the form of Abhyanga. The name Pinda tailais because of pinda(semisolid) like appearance of final kalpna. The viscous appearance is marked by the presence of Sarja rasaand Madhucchishta. The dravyas present in the Pinda tailapacify the vitiated vatadoshaand rakta. Vatarakta, a painful condition, is a disorder where vatais vitiated by raktaor vice-versa. The symptoms include ruk (pain), daha (burning sensation), toda (pricking pain) and shotha (inflammation) and managed with both internal and external chikitsas using gutika, niruha, lepaand sneha kalpna. In Ayurveda, Taila kalpana are included in Sneha Kalpana. The article deals with detailed linguistic stylistic analysis of one of Harold Pinter’s “memory plays” Betrayal. The object of our investigation is the text of the play and the subject is its linguistic stylistic peculiarities. This literary work stands out from the rest of the plays due to its autobiographical element – the prototypes of main characters of Betrayal are Pinter himself, his lover Joan Bakewell and her husband. The central motif, as the title suggests, is betrayal which incorporates two types of this phenomenon – a betrayal of a spouse and a betrayal of a friend. We have studied the motif of betrayal realized both in author’s remark and characters’ dialogue at all language levels. It is noticeable that incomplete, elliptical sentences together with aposiopesis prevail – their purpose is to reflect emotional tension presented in characters’ utterances. Among other dominant figures of speech are repetition of different type (alliteration, morphological and lexical repetition, anaphora, epiphora and parallel construction), semantic associative group of words denoting human relationship and marriage, words denoting emotions (mostly adjectives), numerous intensifiers, words with strong emotional connotations and verbal irony. Also, author’s remarks “pause” and “silence”, performing various functions, are conspicuous.

The Tami Otaka Method is a method of memorizing by using the ability of the right brain by means of the students memorizing the Qur’an while moving their hands from the verse they are reading. The type of research taken is field research using a qualitative approach. The object of this research is TK PINTAR Bandung, which includes the principal, tahfidz teacher, curriculum, and students. To obtain research data, researcher used observation, interview, and documentation techniques. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis, so that the results of this study are manifested in the form of words both orally and verbally. The results obtained are as follows: first, to achieve purpose of the learning, TK PINTAR Bandung uses the Tami Otaka method with the help of audio, visual, audio-visual and body movements of a teacher. Second, the curriculum used is a synthesis of the National Curriculum and the Typical Curriculum of TK PINTAR Bandung. Third, learning is carried out in groups. Fourth, the evaluation is given continuously everyday and there is also an evaluation every semester. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan, penerapan, evaluasi serta kelebihan dan kekurangan dari Metode Tami Otaka. Metode Tami Otaka adalah Metode menghafal menggunakan kemampuan otak kanan dengan cara siswa menghafal Al-Qur’an sambil menggerakkan tangan dari arti ayat yang dibaca. Jenis penelitian yang diambil adalah penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah lembaga TK PINTAR Bandung yang di dalamnya ada kepala sekolah, guru tahfidz, kurikulum, dan siswa. Untuk memperoleh data penelitian, peneliti menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kualitatif deskriptif, sehingga hasil dari penelitian ini diwujudkan dalam bentuk kata-kata baik tulisan maupun lisan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh sebagai berikut: pertama, untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, TK PINTAR Bandung menggunakan metode Tami Otaka dengan dibantu media auido, visual, audio-visual dan gerakan tubuh dari seorang guru. Kedua, kurikulum yang digunakan sintesis dari kurikulum Nasional dan kurikulum khas TK PINTAR Bandung. Ketiga, pembelajaran dilakukan secara berkelompok. Keempat, evaluasi diberikan terus menerus setiap harinya dan ada juga evaluasi tiap semester.

In a much discussed passage Pindar uses the expression when speaking of early performances of the dithyramb. The passage was famous in antiquity and before the discovery of a papyrus fragment early in the Twentieth Century, we owed our knowledge of it chiefly to citations in Athenaeus. In discussing it, Athenaeus explains the words in the context of asigmatic odes, i.e. odes in which for the sake of euphony the letter sigma was avoided or omitted altogether. This explanation remains the most commonly accepted one, though scholars continue to puzzle over it, as it is hard to see why Pindar would use the word which means ‘false’ or ‘counterfeit’ in such a context. A more natural interpretation, and one which would, I believe, have been readily accepted had it not been for the comments of Athenaeus, is that in early dithyrambic performances the ‘s’ sound was in some way impure or unauthentic when compared with current practice. In what follows, I will re-open the discussion, arguing that Athenaeus misunderstood the passage or based his explanation on a tradition which obscured its true meaning. It will be necessary in the first place to examine evidence for the pronunciation of Greek sibilants and it is here that some light may be cast upon the discussion from a rather unexpected source—the adaptation of the Greek alphabet for writing down the Middle Iranian language of Bactria.

O rio Pindaré integra o conjunto de cursos fluviais que desaguam no Golfão Maranhense, utilizados historicamente pela população, ao longo dos processos de ocupação e povoamento do território norte maranhense. Neste contexto foi edificada a cidade de Pindaré-Mirim, localizada às margens do rio Pindaré, que se utiliza das águas do rio para usos diversos em que incluem o sustento, transporte e lazer. Com o crescimento populacional, o ambiente fluvial vem sofrendo impactos negativos que interferem na qualidade ambiental e de vida. No presente estudo, analisa-se a percepção dos moradores em relação aos problemas ambientais e sanitários na área urbana ribeirinha de Pindaré, com base no diagnóstico socioambiental, procurando identificar tais problemas especificamente no bairro Beira Rio. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa. Foram aplicados questionários com 103 famílias, tendo como critério de inclusão morar há mais de cinco anos no bairro. Os dados coletados foram analisados por meio de estatística descritiva; os dados qualitativos, mais representativos, foram expressos através das falas dos informantes. Utilizou-se uma matriz de inter-relação homem e ambiente e registros fotográficos. Os problemas mais citados foram identificados nas falas dos informantes que apontaram os impactos negativos relacionados ao esgoto a céu aberto, acúmulo de lixo e o rio contaminado. De forma similar a matriz de inter-relação identificou as modificações ambientais e na qualidade de vida do bairro. In this context the Pindaré-Mirim city was built, located at the margins of the Pindaré River using its waters for several uses including sustenance, transportation, and leisure. With the population growth the fluvial environment has been suffering negative impacts that interfere with the environmental and life quality. In the present study, the resident’s perception regarding environmental and sanitary problems in Pindaré’s urban riverside area are analyzed, based on the socioenvironmental diagnostic, aiming at identifying such problems, specifically in the Beira Rio neighborhood. This study is an exploratory and descriptive research using the quantitative and qualitative approaches. A total of 103 families that lived in the neighborhood for at least five years were interviewed. Data collected were analyzed through descriptive statistics; the qualitative data, more representative, were expressed by the informant’s words. An inter-relationship matrix between man and environment was used together with photographic records. The most commonly cited problems identified by the interviewed were the negative impacts associated to the lack of sanitation, garbage accumulation and contaminated water from the river. In a similar manner, the inter-relationship matrix identified the environmental changes and the neighborhood’s quality of life. It is concluded that the environmental and sanitary impacts identified are of the residents and the local government’s responsibility. En este contexto fue edificada la ciudad de Pindaré-Mirim, ubicada a orillas del río Pindaré, que se utiliza de las aguas del río para usos diversos en que incluyen el sustento, transporte y ocio. Con el crecimiento poblacional, el ambiente fluvial viene sufriendo impactos negativos que interfieren en la calidad ambiental y de vida. En el presente estudio se analiza la percepción de los habitantes en relación a los problemas ambientales y sanitarios en el área urbana ribereña de Pindaré, con base en el diagnóstico socioambiental, buscando identificar tales problemas específicamente en el barrio Beira Rio. Se trata de una investigación exploratoria y descriptiva, con abordaje cuantitativo y cualitativo. Se aplicaron cuestionarios con 103 familias, teniendo como criterio de inclusión morar desde hace más de cinco años en el barrio. Los datos recolectados fueron analizados por medio de estadística descriptiva; Los datos cualitativos, más representativos, se expresaron a través de las palabras de los informantes. Se utilizó una matriz de interrelación hombre y ambiente y registros fotográficos. Los problemas más citados fueron identificados en las palabras de los informantes que apuntaron los impactos negativos relacionados con el alcantarillado a cielo abierto, la acumulación de basura y el río contaminado. De forma similar la matriz de interrelación identificó las modificaciones ambientales y en la calidad de vida del barrio. With the aim of develop the system, it is necessary to design a system that can reduce crimes that are beyond human expectations. This system is called the Smart Security System which is a development of CCTV in general, this system uses cameras and smartphones as information media that will provide notifications to each individual to get notifications regarding real-time conditions in areas under camera surveillance via telegram. This system is assisted by Machine Learning in the form of OpenCV which is programmed on a Raspberry pi4 device which is connected directly to the camera to detect people ormovement in areas under CCTV monitoring so that it can immediately provide information to users which is sent via telegram in the form of video. It is hoped that with this system the level of security can be more effective so as to reduce the risk of theft in a room. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, it is found that to determine the effectiveness of the work of this study, an optimal distance is needed with a minimum distance range of 2 meters - 10 meters from the front of the camera and bright lighting

This IoT-based smart classroom prototype was built using the NodeMCU microcontroller ESP8266. The automation system works by checking if there are users connected to the access point in the classroom and the course scheduled to use it. The attendance check is done by fetching MAC address from a user's device automatically. Next, it will activate relay to turn on electrical facilities in the used classroom, such as lamps, fans, or air conditioners. The system also uses the website using MySQL database to monitor classroom conditions, edit class schedules, register user devices to the system and access attendance data. From the tests carried out, the system can run according to design. Among other things, the relay circuit can be arranged according to the schedule of activities and the whereabouts of the user. Attendance data can be displayed according to users who are connected and registered in the system. The calculations on total delay of system yield results that the delay to activate the classroom is 10.66 ± 0.87 seconds on the website and 14.55 ± 0.78 seconds on the relay. On the other hand, the delay needed to deactivate the classroom is 39.34 ± 3.69 seconds on the website and 36.26 ± 3.70 seconds on the relay.

Two different polymorphisms have been identified in natural populations of the grasshopper Chorthippus vagans. One of these involved an inversion polymorphism in the M7 chromosome and was present in two populations from Granada. In one of these, from Prados del Pinar, the frequency of this polymorphism was constant over three consecutive generations, and meiotic studies of heterozygous individuals indicated that this inversion had not effect on male fertility. The second polymorphism involved a deletion of the distal C-band of the short arm of the M4 chromosome, which was observed in three different populations. From the observed difference between its frequency in adults and embryos in one of these populations, that of Prados del Pinar, it would appear that this deletion is strongly selected against. Despite this, its frequency was maintained in adult individuals of this population over 2 consecutive years. Complete meiotic drive in favour of the M4–d chromosomes in heterozygous females would explain the maintenance of its frequency despite the fact that it is counterselected. The synthesis and characterization of a new and readily synthesized class of potentially anionic pincer ligands with C1 point group symmetries is described. These materials can be made via amide coupling of a 2-(2′-anilinyl)-2-oxazoline unit with picolinic acid; the incorporation of enantiopure oxazoline fragments facilitates the construction of chiral C1 pincers. Treatment of the free ligands with Pd metal sources leads to the formation of amido–Pd pincer complexes in good yield. One of these Pd complexes has been characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods, which confirms the proposed tridentate binding mode of the ligand and the formation of an amido N—Pd bond. The metal complexes have been shown to be suitable precusors for catalytically active Pd species that are useful for C—C bond forming reactions, notably the Heck reaction under standard conditions. Changes in the meaning of words with refinement (euphemism) and refinement (dysfemism) occur at the level of a sentence marked by words, phrases and clauses. The purpose of this research is to describe the forms of euphemisms and dysphemisms in the essay of Emha Ainun Nadjib (Cak Nun) with the title "Life Must Be Clever Ngegas and Ngerem" through a component analysis. The paradigm in research uses qualitative by referring to the natural axioms of reality, the relationship between the researcher and the one being studied, the possibility of generalization, and the causal relationship. The data in this study are in the form of sentences in Cak Nun's essay which are included in the process of changing the meaning of euphemisms and dysfemisms. The data is taken from a book entitled "Life Must Be Smart and Ngerem", an article that contains motivation and teachings of life based on Islamic law. The data analysis process in this study includes four stages, namely domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, component analysis, and cultural theme analysis. The results in this study contain a form of euphemism with two modes of use, namely protection and motivation. Meanwhile, dysphemism has two modes of use which include negative evaluation and satire. The four modes are then combined with the equivalent words in accordance with the context of the sentence, giving rise to comparisons based on the meaning components contained. Comparison of meaning components aims to determine the level of meaning change which refers to refinement and roughing. There is one word without comparing the meaning component with its equivalent, namely the word pramonyet. The term pramonyet is used as a form of curbing which refers to the process of comparing human needs with a monkey.

The ability to read is an ability that must be possessed by students as the main capital in improving their quality. This study aims to produce learning media "Smart Board Random Words" to improve the reading skills of Indonesian language content for second grade elementary school students whose effectiveness has been tested. This study uses the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of development in this research is a product in the form of word scrambled smart board media, the object of development is content validity, user response, and product effectiveness. The test subjects in this study involved 55 grade II elementary school students, whose reading skills were used as the test object. Data collection methods and instruments used in this study were observation guidelines, interview guidelines, rating scales and questionnaires. Test product validity using the Gregory formula. Data analysis is using qualitative statistics and statistical inferential t-test technique. The results from content validation, teacher's and students' response showed that the random word smart board media obtained a very valid. The test results for the effectiveness of learning media show a result of 0.000 less than 0.05, which means that the product being developed has significant effectiveness. It was concluded that the learning media "Smart Board Random Words" can improve the reading skills of Indonesian language content for class II elementary school students.

The quality of smart tree media product and how it use in the class. This developing experiment are based on the foru-D developing model that consists of first steps (1) define; (2) design; (3) develop; and (4) disseminate. But, this experiment until in develop step only without to do the disseminate step because this experiment product just use for the trying special school. The grouping of datta is doing by kelitatif-kuantitatif of descriptif. Based on experiment result is getting the good prosentase of the content, the mean learning, and the technic regularly is 95%; 94%; and 95,4%. All of those aspects are including in quality aspect (very good/well). The getting observation for the teacher and student activity continually are 96,6% dan 95,8%. Respons of the teacher and student for smart tree media is 96,8% and 94,2%. The total of students study result is 84,4 which avaluable with the success criteria is 75. Based on the result of an experiment shows that smart tree media by multimeddia bassis in a CIRC learning way that has developing is good to use in writing a poem learning. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berdasar kenyataan bahwa siswa Sekolah Dasar yang kesulitan dalam menulis puisi, rendahnya minat berpuisi, mengalami kesulitan menuangkan pikiran dan berimajinasi, kurang memahami perbedaan menulis deskripsi dan puisi. Oleh karena itu diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa. Salah satunya dengan merancang media pembelajaran yang dapat menarik minat siswa untuk memahami materi dan mengaplikasikannya dalam menulis puisi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan dan kualitas media pohon pintar berbasis multimedia dalam model pembelajaran CIRC untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Kualitas media pohon pintar yang dikembangkan ditinjau berdasarkan produk dan penggunaannya di kelas. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu pada model pengembangan four-D yang terdiri atas tahap (1) pendefinisian; (2) perancangan; (3) pengembangan; dan (4) penyebaran. Akan tetapi, penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap pengembangan tanpa melakukan penyebaran karena produk penelitian ini hanya dikhususkan sekolah uji coba. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, observasi, angket, dan tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif-kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil presentase kelayakan isi, pembelajaran, dan teknik secara berturut-turut sebesar 95%; 94%; dan 95,4%. Semua kategori tersebut termasuk kategori berkualitas (sangat baik/layak). Perolehan hasil observasi terhadap aktivitas guru dan siswa berturut-turut adalah 96,6% dan 95,8%. Respon guru dan siswa terhadap media pohon pintar adalah 96,8% dan 94,2%. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 84,4 yang sesuai dengan kriteria ketuntasan yaitu 75. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pohon pintar berbasis multimedia dalam model pembelajaran CIRC yang dikembangkan baik digunakan pada pembelajaran menulis puisi. Extreme climate change makes the situation and environmental conditions uncertain, causing the painting practice lecture process to be less than optimal. Weather that tends to be cloudy has the potential to damage the paint from student practicum results. Referring to these problems, in this research an LPG-assisted automatic paint dryer was made as the solution offered. The purpose of this research is to make an oven to support the acceleration of drying of student paint. This research is a design type, which is carried out to support effective and efficient learning in accordance with the planned learning series. The instruments used in this study were: (1) paint drying oven machine assessment sheet; and (2) the target audience's response questionnaire. Indicators of research success are based on process and results. This smart oven based on electronic control module is very suitable to be used as a tool in improving the quality of painting results, especially in automotive painting. Making a smart oven based on electronic control of this module does not require too much money and is very easy to understand in operating the system because of the simplicity of how the oven machine system works. Questionnaire responses of students who have used smart ovens show results that agree and strongly agree with the existence of this smart oven.

- Poetic images and Pragmatics Starting from Benveniste's analyses of historical enunciation, the nature of pronouns and the subjectivity of language, this essay focuses on that the kind of subjectivity implied in much Greek lyric poetry, especially in Pindar. By means of discursive tools, the narration builds an exclusively verbal image of the "I", which comes before any reference to elements external to the text. In this way, the "I" stands for an enunciative, pragmatic and polyphonic subject: it is, indeed, the actor (singer, tragic actor, choral group) of a ritualized situation. This performative identity is different from the author of the written text. In Greek poetry, the written text is above all a speech-act, mostly a song-act. This raises the problem of the difference - and of the relation - between the author's biographic subjectivity and the identity created by the linguistic devices in the text. This review article is devoted to the natural course of hip femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). The evolution of the understanding and views of surgeons on primary (idiopathic) arthrosis are considered. It is noted that nowadays, the primary arthrosis in fact almost always arises from anatomical variations. Among those are cam- and pincer-deformities, leading to impingement. In most of the major works, a reliable causal relationship of cam-FAI with arthrosis has been proven. Moreover, cam-FAI also carries the risk of impending arthroplasty. The association of pincer-FAI with arthrosis has been controversial. The course of FAI arthrosis, most likely, is not as aggressive as, for example, dysplastic arthrosis, and less often requires arthroplastics. Since cam-FAI is a reliable risk factor for arthrosis and arthroplasty, it could be assumed that timely surgical correction of FAI would stop or slow down arthrosis and avoid arthroplasty. However, at present, this assumption has not been proven, therefore, there is no reason to assert that surgery for FAI in any way affects its natural history in the form of severe arthrosis following by arthroplasty.

Abstract: At this time, persons with visual impairments are divided into two, namely total blindness and those who still have residual vision, with the reduced functioning of the sense of sight, someone who is visually impaired tries to maximize the functioning of the other senses such as smell, hearing, and so forth. Based on existing conditions in the field, as well as previous research, the researchers wanted to design a tool that could help people with visual impairments. This tool system works from the design of stick-shaped devices, the electronics are placed, such as arduino, ultrasonic sensors, water lavel sensors, servo, and arduino as moving the components. So this tool when used and find obstacles such as large stones, walls and others, ultrasonic sensors will read and produce buzzer sounds and sound modules, and if this tool is used to find obstacles such as puddles, water lavel sensors will read and produce sounds buzzer and sound module. Keywords: Smart stick; smart stick for tunanetra; controller and ultrasonic; waterlevel sensor and stick. Abstrak: Pada saat ini penyandang disabilitas tunanetra tingkat gangguannya dibagi dua yaitu buta total dan yang masih mempunyai sisa penglihatan, dengan berkurangnya fungsi indra penglihatan maka seseorang yang terkena tunanetra berusaha memaksimalkan fungsi indra-indra yang lainnya seperti, penciuman, pendengaran, dan lain sebagainya. Didasari kondisi yang ada dilapangan saat ini, serta penelitian terdahulu maka peneliti ingin merancang sebuah alat yang bisa membantu penyandang disabilitas tunanetra. Sistem alat ini bekerja dari rancangan alat berbentuk tongkat, ditongkat tersebut diletak komponen elektronik, seperti arduino, sensor ultrasonic, sensor water lavel, buzzer, dfplayer mini, vibration disk motor, motor servo dan arduino nano sebagai menggerakan komponen tersebut. Jadi alat ini apabila digunakan dan menemukan hambatan seperti tembok, pohon dan lain-laim, sensor ultrasonic akan mendeteksi dan menghasilkan bunyi buzzer dan modul getaran, dan apabila alat ini digunakan menemukan hambatan seperti genangan air, sensor water lavel akan mendeteksi dan menghasilkan bunyi modul suara dan modul getaran. Kata kunci: Smart tongkat; tongkat pintar bagi tunanetra; controller dan ultrasonic; sensor ketinggian air dan tongkat.

Women bodies are the victim of sheer oppression and violence due to their vulnerable status since time immemorial. Instances of rape, murder, abduction, honour killing, and domestic violence are quite common in the case of women even in the contemporary world. They were the principal victims of the communal violence at the time of partition as well. They were murdered and humiliated before their loved ones; abducted and forcefully married after conversion or even sold out like inanimate entities. To avert the worst, copious of them committed suicide or others were killed by their family members for the sake of honour. The plight of these misfortunate women has been depicted by many writers very often through their works and even by cinema industries. The present paper tries to explore the fate of these wretched women which have been depicted on the silver screen in Khamosh Pani (Silent Waters), Pinjar (The Skeleton) and Eho Hamara Jeevna (Such is Her Fate). Women characters in these movies are trapped in a quagmire of hideous social evils, inflicted upon them by society, which has left them with nothing but trauma, violence, suffering, identity crises, atrocities and so on. All these women are Sikh women, who are swirling in the gyre of ‘in-betweenness’ due to their past traumas and the kind of life they are living right now. Keeping aside their emotions, these women do not lose their self-control and always try to strike a balance to live a harmonious life even after such atrocities. Their stoic personalities have encouraged them to undergo the sufferings inflicted upon them but their soul is completely torn due to these inhuman atrocities.

Abstract This study aims to create an automated system to turn off and turn on the lights. This research used experimental method. This prototype uses Arduino Mega 2560 with the programming language C language simplified with software IDE 1.5.4. an input device consists of three sensor Receiver Passive Infrared (PIR), 1 sensor Microphone (Voice), 1 sensor Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and 1 sensor Light Dependent Resistance (LDR). Hardware output consists of 5 LED lights air conditioning and Solenoid. PIR is used to detect human presence, Voice sensor is used to turn on and turn off the room lights with applause, RFID sensors are used to unlock which is connected with the solenoid, LDR sensor is used to turn on and off lights that exist outside the home. The results obtained are the PIR sensor can only read infrared moving, RFID can not be read when unobstructed metal objects (iron) and LDR sensor works based on the intensity of light around, so it can be concluded that a prototype installation of lighting smart homes to apartment studio type microcontroller based, tools and systems can work in accordance with well-designed. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat sistem otomatis dalam mematikan dan menghidupkan lampu. penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen.Prototipe ini menggunakan Arduino Mega 2560 dengan bahasa pemrograman yaitu bahasa C yang disederhanakan dengan software IDE 1.5.4. peralatan input terdiri dari 3 sensor Passive Infrared Receiver (PIR), 1 sensor Microphone (Suara), 1 sensor Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), dan 1 sensor Light Dependent Resistance (LDR).Peralatan output terdiri dari 5 lampu LED AC dan Solenoid. Hasil yang telah didapat adalah sensor PIR hanya dapat membaca infrared yang bergerak, RFID tidak dapat membaca bila terhalang objek logam (besi) dan sensor LDR bekerja berdasarkan intensitas cahaya disekitar,sehinggadapatdisimpulkanbahwaprototipe instalasi penerangan rumah pintar untuk apartemen tipe studio berbasis mikrokontroler, alat dan sistem dapat bekerja sesuai dengan yang dirancang. dirancang.

The PCP pincer complex, IrH2{C6H3-2,6-(CH2P-t-Bu2)2} (1) catalyzes the transfer dehydrogenation of primary and secondary alcohols. Dehydrogenation occurs across the C—O bond rather than the C—C bonds and the corresponding aldehydes or ketones are obtained as the sole products arising from the dehydrogenation reactions. Methanol is an exception to this pattern of reactivity and undergoes only stoichiometric dehydrogenation with 1 to give the carbonyl complex, Ir(CO){C6H3-2,6-(CH2P-t-Bu2)2} (2). The products are obtained in nearly quantitative yields when the reactions are carried out in toluene solutions. Under the same conditions, 2,5-hexanediol is converted to the annulated product, 3-methyl-2-cyclopenten-1-one which has been isolated in 91% yield in a preparative scale reaction.Key words: alcohol, dehydrogenation, ketones, iridium pincer complex, annulation.

This study is focused on development of the content of history as a school subject in Estonian general comprehensive schools in 1874-2015. Selection of the content for learning has been influenced by the socio-political context and ideology in all times reflecting the officially recognized and accepted values. Theoretical analysis of selection of the content for history learning in Estonian general comprehensive schools is based on the works of de Tracy, Marx, Engels, Maritain, Althusser, Habermas, Žižek, Mannheim, Foucault, Popper, Gellner, de Beauvoir, Tyler, Taba, Goodson, Pinar, Kelly and Autio. All curriculum documents of the mentioned period have been analysed considering their aims, content of learning, time allotted for learning, and methods recommended in a thematic monograph. This article is focussed on aims and principles for selection of the content of history learning in Estonian general comprehensive schools, influenced by ideologies and contexts at different times.

This article aimed to identify how violent languages are operated for othering and disciplining the body as an exercise of power over the LGBTIQ groups in Indonesia. The analyzed violent language was taken from a conversation on Twitter that responds to Deddy Corbuzier’s podcast video with the title “TUTORIAL JADI G4Y DI INDO!!= PINDAH KE JERMAN (tonton sblm ngamuk) RAGIL AND FRED”. The issues of violence in language have been arising when the words used by Twitter accounts @cholilnafis, @anasabuabdillah, @mas_po_sanusi, @ridwan2474, @djoesa, @defrizonz, and @samsularifin000 are seen in a particular way in the context of their response to Deddy’s podcast video. This article shows that there is a process of othering and disciplining the body through the choices of words that contain elements of violence. Violent languages are operated to alienate others, as in the concept of “blaming others”. From Lozano and Laurent’s perspective, “blaming others” is accusing minorities under social inappropriateness instead of seeing their own fault. Meanwhile, the process of disciplining the body moves through violent languages that are associated with interpretation of Islamic discourse.

In 1947, a ghastly incident occurred in the Indian Sub-continent known as Partition of India under which two new countries India and Pakistan came into existence. And for these countries the incident proved to be the most atrocious and catastrophic incident in human history due to the occurrence of incessant robbery, kidnapping, rape and murder. Since then, Partition of India has been the most gruesome and ugly past of Indian history which puts the nation to shame whenever remembered or discussed. The partition and the associated bloody riots compelled many creative minds to create literary pieces capturing the inhuman acts of murder and brutal slaughter on both sides. The trauma of partition and agony experienced by the people of Indian Sub-continent found its voice in the literature of Partition written by various writers of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh in different languages. While some creations depicted the massacres during the refugee migration, others concentrated on the aftermath of the partition in terms of difficulties faced by the refugees on both sides of the border. Even now, after more than 75 years of partition, works of fiction and films are made that relate to the events of partition. A few literatures describing the human cost of independence and partition are ‘Train to Pakistan’ by Khushwant Singh, ‘Toba Tek Singh’ by Saadat Hassan Manto, ‘Tamas’ by Bhisham Sahni, and ‘Midnight’s Children’ by Salman Rushdi. The present paper deals with the sensitive story picked from a Punjabi novel ‘Pinjar’ written by Amrita Pritam. Amrita is a prominent writer from Punjab who has provided an avid expression of the lives and experiences of women during Partition in many of her poems and novels. Pinjar is an appalling and petrifying story of a Hindu Girl who is kidnapped by a Muslim young man who marries her. In the course of events the girl again gets a chance to meet her family and re-unite which she is compelled to refuse as her parents denied accepting her saying that she has been defiled by a non-Hindu. The novel, in its flow of narration, unfolds the harrowing journey of innocent females whose whole life is rendered shattered due to a single episode called ‘partition’.

Pemilihan supplier merupakan salah satu keputusan strategis dalam manajemen rantai pasok yang berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keunggulan kompetitif suatu perusahaan. Setiap pabrikan perlu memiliki kriteria standar dalam pemilihan supplier sesuai dengan kebutuhan perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kriteria-kriteria yang paling berpengaruh dan urutan alternatif supplier Rail Pad 158-7 terbaik yang bisa digunakan untuk menjadi bahan pertimbangan oleh PT. Pindad (Persero) dalam memilih supplier di masa yang akan datang. Bobot dan prioritas kriteria yang diuji dengan Metode Analytical Network Process (ANP) juga dimaksudkan untuk memunculkan hubungan timbal balik yang saling berpengaruh antar kriteria. ANP dapat digunakan untuk membantu membuat keputusan untuk memilih supplier dan untuk mengelola kinerja rantai pasokan. Makalah ini menunjukkan kriteria yang mempengaruhi keputusan pemilihan suatu supplier yaitu faktor biaya, delivery, kualitas, dan service sebagai prioritas utama produksi perusahaan. Adapun jika terdapat perbedaan maka perbedaan perspektif dipengaruhi oleh tingkat minat dan tanggung jawab yang berbeda. Perbedaan penilaian ini membentuk dasar pengambilan keputusan dan kebijakan strategis rantai pasokan sesuai dengan kondisi perusahaan. Abstract [Analysis of Supplier Selection Using Analytical Network Process (ANP) Method in Procurement of Rail Pad 158-7 Components (Case Study: PT. Pindad (Persero))] Supplier selection is one of the strategic decisions in supply chain management that affects the improvement of a company's competitive advantage. Each manufacturer needs to have standard criteria in the selection of suppliers according to company needs. The purpose of this paper is to find out the most influential criteria and the best alternative order of Rail Pad 158-7 suppliers that can be used as a material for consideration by PT PINDAD (Persero) in selecting future suppliers. The weight and priority of the criteria tested by the Analytical Network Process (ANP) Method are also intended to bring up mutually influential relationships between criteria. ANP can be used to help make decisions to choose suppliers and to manage supply chain performance. This paper shows the criteria that influence a supplier selection decision, which are cost, delivery, quality, and service as the main priority of the company's production. As for if there are differences, differences in perspective are influenced by different levels of interest and responsibility. This difference in valuation forms the basis of supply chain strategic decision-making and policy according to company conditions.Key words: ANP; Criteria; MCDM; Supplier
