Abstract (sommario):
When testing agricultural machinery in order to determine its functional indicators, the ability to wirelessly transmit data between sensors, measuring and information systems are important. (Research purpose) To develop methods and create wireless digital devices for determining the functional indicators of agricultural tractors and machines with the ability to wirelessly transmit data to a remote control point in real time. (Materials and methods) The authors assumed that it was possible to determine the slipping of driving wheels using an inertial navigation system. It was found that in order to calculate real-time indicators obtained using wireless technologies, it was necessary to determine the characteristics of the input signals of discrete sensors on the side of the measuring system. (Results and discussions) The authors substantiated a method for determining the period of incoming signals of discrete sensors with an accuracy of 0.001 seconds for wireless information transmission. They proposed the design of a slipping sensor for an energy vehicle driving wheels, the main element of which is an inertial wheel position sensor. They developed a discrete signal input module and an inertial slipping sensor with the possibility of wireless data transmission based on a radio system with a carrier frequency of 433 megahertz. During field tests, it was found that the accuracy of determining slippage using the inertial wireless sensor IP-291 does not exceed 1 percent; the range of stable radio communication from the tested object to the test control center reaches 1000 meters; the current indicators obtained through digital radio communication did not differ from the indicators obtained in the tractor cab. (Conclusions) The authors worked out an effective system for wireless information transfer with the ability to calculate the performance of the tested equipment in real time.

Abstract Wireless networking is not new to contemporary dental offices around the country. Wireless routers and network cards have made access to patient records within the office handy and, thereby, saving valuable chair side time and increasing productivity. As is the case with any rapidly developing technology, wireless technology also changes with the same rate. Unless, the users of the wireless networking understand the implications of these changes and keep themselves updated periodically, the office network will become obsolete very quickly. This update of the emerging security protocols and pertaining to ratified wireless 802.11 standards will be timely for the contemporary dentist whose office is wirelessly networked. This article brings the practicing dentist up-to-date on the newer versions and standards in wireless networking that are changing at a fast pace. The introduction of newer 802.11 standards like super G, Super AG, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO), and pre-n are changing the pace of adaptation of this technology. Like any other rapidly transforming technology, information pertaining to wireless networking should be a priority for the contemporary dentist, an eventual end-user in order to be a well-informed and techno-savvy consumer. Abstract (sommario):
In this paper, a low power consumption long range wireless data acquisition system for PV installations, consisting of a set of sensors connected wirelessly with one or several monitoring/control systems was designed and implemented. The wireless communication between devices is based on LoRa technology. LoRa is a spread spectrum modulation technique derived from Chirp Spread Spectrum (CSS) technology. It offers a long-range low power wireless platform, suitable for professional wireless sensor network applications. The integration of this technology in PV installations provides an extensive, low cost, power-efficient, and easy to maintain, system. Design, high-layer communication protocol, and hardware implementation of sensors are discussed. The sensor set consists of a voltage/current sensor, a sun irradiance sensor, a panel position sensor based on an accelerometer/magnetometer for sun tracking installations, a temperature and humidity sensor, and a mobile monitoring system.

Abstract (sommario):
The wireless communication technologies nowadays are the most common ubiquitous innovations used in our life. It is much easier to run than wired one, and its applications are increasing steadily. It is now extensively utilized in wireless equipment controlling during the continuous development. That is, from a reasonable distance, we can monitor and control our electronics and electrical equipment. It can be said that tools can only be managed with a controller in hand from a distance without being close to the controller. One of the popular technology requirements in the present time is wireless technology. In this article, the proposed multi plant multi controller (MPMC) system is based on wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The aims are to design and implement of wireless closed-loop optimal control system for multiple plants. The system consists of two main parts: the station part and the sensing part. The station part is designed for the purpose to control the system through the graphical user interface (GUI) designed in the LabVIEW program that gives signals to the sensing part wirelessly through the ZigBee nodes. The sensing part receives a signal from the station part wirelessly through the ZigBee node and used a wireless speed sensor to calculate the speed of connecting DC motors. Then, the sensing part returns the measure reading to the station side through another ZigBee node, to show the result in the GUI controlling the operations of the two plants. The work proves the feasibility of implementing the optimal MPMC systems through wireless networks using ZigBee technology.

Abstract (sommario):
This article is concerned with the design of wireless-networked control framework based on Internet of Things technology and predictive control strategy to remote control a thermal benchmark system. In order to improve the control performance of systems, an autonomous real-time solution is proposed for handling network problems. The adopted control strategy is divided into two cooperative parts under a master–slave architecture, in which two STM32 microcontrollers are investigated. The slave board is connected closely to the process and the master one is a distant controller. The microcontrollers communicate wirelessly through the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol. In the master board, a model predictive output-estimator-based controller is designed to control wirelessly the benchmark system, even though the incoming outputs from the slave board are lost. However, a buffered structure is implemented on the slave board to compensate the input losses of the arrived control sequences. The performance of the proposed wireless-networked predictive control compensation strategy for packet loss and perturbation handling in the wireless-networked control system in this work is verified through different experimentation conditions. Also, a comparative study with a wireless-networked proportional integral controller is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of wireless-networked predictive control strategy for practical Internet of Things applications.

Abstract (sommario):

Today's world is evolving toward creating a smart house where a multitude of Internet Of Things (IoT) devices and sensors are interacting to deliver plenty of useful information. Essential to the implementation of this IoT is the design of energy-efficient solutions aiming toward a low-carbon-emission, namely green, society. Many R\&D studies are working on a long-range distance wireless charging that will send microwave energy to powered IoT devices wherever it is in the room and without cords. Wireless power transmission technology is the diffusion of RF power without using any physical support. The vision of future technology is to make the IoT devices charging and powered wirelessly. The objective of the work scope is to combine the wireless power technology with smart IoT and IIoT devices and reduce the turnoff of devices due to battery depletion. In this research paper, we designed and realized a wireless charging device using the fundamentals of microwave radiation. The proposed electronic device takes all parameters above to deliver sufficient energy to charging any IoT devices wirelessly with a maximum power of 5W.

Abstract (sommario):
A novel passive wireless pressure sensor is proposed based on LTCC (low temperature cofired ceramic) technology. The sensor employs a passive LC circuit, which is composed of a variable interdigital capacitor and a constant inductor. The inductor and capacitor were fabricated by screen-printing. Pressure measurement is tested using a wireless mutual inductance coupling method. The experimental sensitivity of the sensor is about 273.95 kHz/bar below 2 bar. Experimental results show that the sensor can be read out wirelessly by external antenna at 600°C. The max readout distance is 3 cm at room temperature. The sensors described can be applied for monitoring of gas pressure in harsh environments, such as environment with high temperature and chemical corrosion.
