In order to maintain a high quality of life for the residents of growing rural communities a more efficient, sustainable, and pragmatic architectural solution must be devised. The current mentality concerning rural development and lifestyle must be reshaped in order to adapt to an increasingly environmentally conscience world. Within the built environment is the opportunity to provide direction for this positive change. Through extensive research and study, I intend to create an architectural solution that begins to shape its inhabitant's mentality, behavior and lifestyle by utilizing, teaching, and promoting the importance of nature and its cycles. Thus minimizing environmental impacts and conserving energy while improving the health, happiness, and quality of life of the building's occupants. Considering most of a persons life is spent immersed in architecture, the built environment determines a large portion of its inhabitants impact on the environment. This can be significantly minimized if the buildings, required as a necessity in peoples lives, have less impact on the environment. The future project's location should minimize its residents and visitors need for private vehicular transportation by providing an appealing environment for daily economic, recreational and social activities to take place simultaneously. It is my goal to continuously unite nature and man within the building and its surroundings forming awareness and appreciation for the natural world and its cycles by providing gardens through which residents can each begin to personally establish a relationship with nature. Most importantly, the project should be immersed as close to a natural recreational and wildlife area as possible. Through the resident's interaction with gardening environments, the surrounding natural landscape, and the building's use of natural energies and systems, an intimate relationship and sense of dependency on nature will become ingrained in the people living in and experiencing the building. Community and public spaces will be integrated within the development in order to encourage social and economical relationships while further immersing the architecture into the existing community. Ultimately this solution would encourage and promote positive interaction and relationships between the residents, the Bozeman community, and nature. The final result would be an architectural solution that provides a more energy and spatially efficient alternative to lateral development while embracing, improving, and interacting with the local environment, the central core of the city, and the existing community.

Since Montesquie's incisive differentiation of the principal forms of governance and their components, the rate at which theories of governance have been proposed has exponenetially grown now when we have a plethora of different theories on the best way to govern, lead and /or manage. Anyone interested in this topic is confronted with many conflicting schools of thought, from Weber's theory of the 'iron cage' to Wheatley's new-age concept of leadership. This seeming maze of different theories can be seen merely as different perspectives on the overall embracing concept of governance which is essentially the holistic conception and explanation of differentiated purposive human systems - about paradigms and systems that have their inception in and are limited by, human mind. The core challenge, then, is to put some order and rationale into the understanding of this 'many-headed ' concept of governance. This thesis meets this challenge by mapping out a cognitive framework that is capable of embracing and ordering all the multitudinous differentiated conceptions of human governance experienced at the different levels of society. In essence, this thesis reformulates the concept of organizational governance in terms of the metaphor of the human mind. The cognitive model of governance are embraced by the different organizations in different circumstances and why this is appropriate and necessary, how and why governance changes over time, and how it is important to institute processes of inquiry, dialogue and reflection in order to know and choose more consciously. As a consequence of using the mind metaphor to analyse governance in Western society, the key conclusion is that there has been a substantial shift or evolution in thinking from a mangerialist mindset to the more abstract politicist mindset. This thesis contends that optimization of energy resources through active control and
predictive simulation modelling is possible, and that such monitoring l e d to large savings
in the electricity costs of hot mines (where refrigeration has to be employed). In addition,
active monitoring and control can positively affect the establishment of a safe, healthy and
productive working environment.
In the entire optimization process certain guidelines were set to ensure that the requirements
of the Mine Health and Safety Act were met. Varying the quantity of air supplied
underground by means of Variable Speed Drives (VSD's) is one of the crucial factors in the
interactive approach towards the optimization of ventilation, as is refrigeration and the
pumping requirements associated with refrigeration. This research highlights the interaction
between the amount of air supplied and the effect it has on refrigeration requirements
underground. This thesis also considers the effect that this would have on contaminant
control.
Various tools are available for ventilation and cooling design for mining. These tools are
based on the assumption of steady state conditions and do not take into account
instantaneous changes in conditions day to day or hour to hour (such as for temperature and
contaminants). They also do not take into account the optimization of energy resources
related to the creation of the acceptable underground conditions. With these tools worst case
and best-case scenarios are identified and strategic decisions are made accordingly.
Currently, the amount of the fresh air, the velocity of the air, and its general temperature in
the mine are only changed when one production phase changes into another (or when
unacceptable conditions occur as a result of poor design or neglect). This means that during
a specific production phase (which can last for several months), there can be an oversupply,
or undersupply, of energy resources, which will obviously affect the concentration levels of
the various contaminants (through under or oversupply of air).
Studies done at the Target Mine in the Free State, South Africa, investigated the possibility of
optimizing air cooling, air supply, and water pumping. A unique simulation programme was
designed for the mine - initially to monitor how the mine normally utilized energy resources
in air-supply cooling and water pumping. Once this had been done, an 'optimization
schedule' for energy use on the mine was established using predictive simulation. A
potential saving in energy costs of approximately R2.6 million per annum was identified

La hipótesis que nos planteamos al construir una MIP para el estado, podría resumirse como sigue: ¿es posible obtener un buen estimador de la matriz de insumo-producto del Estado México a partir de metodologías indirectas que tienen como base la matriz de insumo-producto nacional?
A continuación explicaremos brevemente el contenido de los capítulos que conformaran el presente trabajo:
En el capítulo I desarrollaremos las bases teóricas que sustentan el modelo de insumo-producto, realizando la tarea de definir el concepto de una MIP, así como de los principales términos que esta herramienta implica. Expondremos una serie de trabajos previamente realizados para otras entidades del país, cuyo tema central descansa en la regionalización de la MIP nacional. Explicaremos de forma pormenorizada las metodologías implementadas: Flegg y Webber y RAS.
En el capítulo II describiremos en un sentido económico y social a la entidad, centrándonos de la misma manera que con la MIP, en el año 2008, la idea principal consiste en describir uno de los indicadores económicos más relevantes del sistema productivo estatal: el PIB, contrastando los valores obtenidos con los mismos datos a nivel nacional. Así mismo, se analizará el comportamiento social y demográfico de la entidad que nos permitirá tener una coyuntura más específica otorgando soporte a los resultados que se obtengan.
En el capítulo III presentaremos los resultados de nuestra investigación: la matriz de insumo-producto del Estado de México para el año 2008, comparando las diferencias y similitudes encontradas con ambos métodos (Flegg y Webber y RAS), al mismo tiempo que contrastaremos las estimaciones de los principales indicadores macroeconómicos con lo observable en la realidad productiva del estado.
Finalmente, en el capítulo IV presentamos un análisis insumo-producto derivado de la estimación de la MIP estatal, este análisis se concentra en la técnica de los multiplicadores de interdependencia hacia atrás y hacia adelante.

Museerna har genom åren långsamt utvecklats mot öppnare institutioner, vilket under de senaste decennierna har visat sig bland annat som en strävan efter dialog med museets publik. Denna utveckling har likheter med hur internet under de senaste åren blivit allt mer inriktat på deltagande och sociala aspekter, ofta kallat webb 2.0. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om svenska länsmuseer och centralmuseer använder webben för att inbjuda till dialog med sina virtuella besökare. Uppsatsen tar också upp vad denna typ av webbarbete kan ha för konsekvenser, och hur museerna skulle kunna uppnå en högre grad av interaktion på internet. De svenska läns- och centralmuseernas webbplatser har analyserats ur en genomsnittlig användares perspektiv. De aspekter som tas upp är huruvida texten eller funktionerna på webbplatserna uppmuntrar till kontakt, interaktion eller dialog med museet. Skillnaden mellan kontakt, interaktion och dialog ligger i vilken typ av kommunikation det handlar om och vilken typ av information som museet efterfrågar, men också i hur relationen ser ut mellan museet och besökarna: är museet auktoriteten eller inbjuder det besökaren att påverka? På de undersökta svenska museernas webbplatser finns endast ett fåtal funktioner som utnyttjar webbens möjligheter till deltagande. De flesta webbplatserna ger snarare intryck av att vara främst reklammaterial för det fysiska museet. Detta kan bero på att webben ses som ett verktyg snarare än som en del av en virtuell kultur. Exempel finns dock på utländska museer som satsat mycket på sin virtuella närvaro. Olika sociala medier som skulle kunna användas av museer i interaktionssyfte tas också upp, främst bloggar, folksonomier och sociala nätverk. Bloggar blir allt vanligare på museer och kan användas för att till exempel visa föremål eller diskutera museets verksamhet. Besökare kan enkelt delta genom att skriva kommentarer, eller i vissa fall till och med skriva egna inlägg. Folksonomi, eller social taggning av konstverk och föremål, kan användas som navigationsverktyg på webbplatserna, vilket kan ha både för- och nackdelar beroende på vilket mål museet har med att visa sina samlingar virtuellt. Sociala nätverk, som communities av olika slag, kan för museerna vara ett sätt att nå ut till sina besökare men även till nya besökargrupper. Allmänhetens förtroende för museerna och museernas förtroende för allmänheten är något som kan påverkas av ett "öppnare" webbarbete. Förtroende behöver dock inte vara kopplat till auktoritet, och det finns tecken som tyder på att synen på auktoritet är under förändring i och med att delaktighet och deltagande blir allt vanligare i samhället. Detta är något som museer måste förhålla sig till oavsett hur de arbetar idag, och det finns troligen många fördelar med att hänga med i utvecklingen.

<p> </p><p>Internet har utvecklats till att bli den enskilt största källan för information och tjänster från myndigheter och företag. Webbsidor produceras dock sällan med användbarhet i fokus. Detta innebär en risk för att informationssökning och utnyttjande av tjänster försvåras eller omöjliggörs för stora grupper av befolkningen. I denna uppsats fokuseras på äldres problem med att tillgodogöra sig information via Internet på grund av syn-, koordinations- och kognitiva problem, dess bakomliggande orsaker och hur detta kan och bör åtgärdas.</p><p>Sammanlagt 65 webbsidor har studerats och vi konstaterar att ingen av dessa uppfyller de krav och rekommendationer som finns för att producera användarvänliga webbsidor. Vidare konstaterar vi att de riktlinjer som World Wide Web Consortium utvecklat och som bland annat rekommenderas av Verket för förvaltningsutveckling inte ger någon garanti för att webbsidor blir mer användarvänliga.</p><p>Uppsatsen avslutas med några rekommendationer för att skapa mera användarvänliga webbsidor.</p><p> </p><br><p> </p><p>Internet has grown to the biggest individual source of information and service from governmental authorities as well as companies. Web pages are, despite of this, rarely produced with usability in mind. This leads to a risk that information and use of services will be more complicated or even impossible to reach for large groups of people in the community. This thesis focuses on older people's problem using Internet because of reduced sight and problems with coordination and cognition. We also discuss the cause of those problems and how Internet pages should be designed to meet the needs of those affected.</p><p>Within the work 65 web pages has been analyzed and we establish that none of those pages fulfil the requirements and recommendations that are in use. We also establish that the guidelines that World Wide Web Consortium has developed and that is recommended by the Swedish Administrative Development Agency, is not a guarantee for usability of web pages.</p><p> </p>

The thesis concerns the use of classification schemes for organising resources in subject-based hierarchical search-services on the web. The aim is to investigate the different kinds of classification that are used, which fall into two groups: established respectively new classification schemes. This is attained by studying literature and the websites of each search-service. The prospects for using classification in a web-environment are discussed and divided into three major groups: browsing, control and cross-classification. One question at issue concerns how an established scheme manages to organise web-resources and whether this classification differs from the classification of new schemes and in what way. The BUBL LINK search-service makes use of the Dewey Decimal Classification DDC and exemplifies the application of an established classification scheme on the web. Yahoo! represents a non-established scheme. A presentation of the schemes, including the DDC, is done with the intention to achieve an understanding of the essential theoretical principles behind them. The classification schemes of BUBL LINK and Yahoo! are analysed with the purpose to discern the basic characteristics of each scheme which are illustrated by examples from the classification and then compared. The thesis ends in a discussion where flexibility, updating, notation, verbal description, subject-analysis and control are pointed out as important aspects. Which classification to use depends highly upon the aim and target group of the particular search-service. Thirty questions, grouped into three categories politics, economy and sports, were used and the first twenty documents for each question were examined. The questions used were designed to be as current as possible and efforts were made to perform the searches with as little time span as possible between each search engine. The precision of the search engines was determined for each of the questions as well as for each category and for the combined categories. In measuring precision an average was calculated, intended to favour search engines that place its relevant documents early in the ranked list. The relevance of the retrieved documents was evaluated using a three-grade scale. Irrelevant articles and duplicates were given 0 points, partially relevant documents were given 0,5 points and those judged to be highly relevant were given 1 point. The results of the study show surprisingly high precision from two of the search engines, Excite and News Index with the former performing slightly better than the latter. Ananova performed considerably worse than the other two. One possible reason for the high precision observed is the relatively low complexity of the documents retrieved compared to web pages in general. When comparing the different categories of questions one notable result was that all search engines performed considerably worse in the "economy"-category. Possible reasons for this are, apart from a higher number of duplicates, a shortage of relevant articles for the questions in this category as well as possible differences between either the documents retrieved in the different categories, or the web pages publishing them.<br>Uppsatsnivå: D

User education is an important aspect of university libraries' service to its users. This Masters' Thesis is about online user education. The aim of this study is to analyse five Swedish online user courses in relation to information literacy and learning theory. The web-sites were explored through textual analyses to find how concepts of information literacy and learning theory are expressed. The theoretical framework is based on Carol C Kuhlthau's three levels of user education, Paul Ramsden's three theories of teaching in higher education and Christine Bruce's different aspects of information literacy. The study reveals that the source approach to user education as described by Kuhlthau is the most common i.e. the library and its resources are the focus. I also found, using Bruce's different aspects of information literacy, that different aspects existed, but the information source approach and the information process approach dominated. This result differs a little from Bruce's own discussion where she meant that information literacy curriculum in higher education clusters around information technology and information source conceptions. Using Ramsden' s theories of teaching I found that the most common teaching strategy in the user courses was teaching as transmission of information.<br>Uppsatsnivå: D

Internet och dess webbplatser är källa till mycket information. Ofta vet vi vilken information vi söker, problemet är bara att hitta den. Ett nyckelelement på webbplatser för att hitta den information som man söker är navigationen. Navigationen kan vara utformad på många olika sätt, vilka har olika för- och nackdelar. Denna studie ska undersöka vilken navigationstyp som är den mest effektiva för tredimensionella navigationsstrukturer.Först väljs de fem navigationstyperna som ska jämföras, detta genom att undersöka vilka de bästa webbplatserna i Sverige använder. För att kunna testa de mot varandra byggs en testmiljö i fem versioner. Det enda som skiljer versionerna åt är deras navigationstyp. Fem testpersoner för varje testmiljö får sedan sex uppgifter att utföra. Här mäts tid för att utföra uppgiften, tid som spenderas i navigationen för varje uppgift, antal klick/hovringar samt antal felklick/felhovringar. Det samlas även in demografisk data samt testpersonens subjektiva uppfattning om testmiljöns navigationstyp.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att navigationstypen mega drop-down är effektivast enligt de uppmätta mätvariablerna. Den har genomgående bäst testresultat, både tidsmässigt och klick/hovringsmässigt. Mellan de övriga fyra navigationstyperna visar undersökningen ingen större skillnad. Studien rekommenderar därför att använda mega drop-down vid implementation av en tredimensionell navigationsstruktur.<br>Internet with all its websites is a great source of information. Often we know what information we are searching for and the problem is to find it. A key element to find information on websites is the navigation, which can be designed in many different ways with different advantages and disadvantages. This study will examine which type of navigation that is the most effective for three-dimensional navigation structures.At first five different navigation types are chosen to be examined by reviewing what sort of navigation type are used in the top 50 web pages in Sweden. In order to test the different types against each other a test environment is built in five different versions. The only thing separating them is the navigation type that is implemented. Five test subjects are then handed six tasks to complete in one test environment each. The variables that are measured are the total time for completing the task, the time spent in the navigation, the total number of clicks/hovers and the number of errors caused by each click/hover. Demographic data and subjective opinions about the navigation systems are also collected from the test subjects.The result of the survey shows that the mega drop-down navigation is the most effective navigation type according to the measured variables. It consistently keeps the highest result in all measured variables included time tracking, amount of clicks/hovers and the subjective opinion by the test objects. Between the other four navigation-types the test shows no major difference. The study therefore recommends the use of mega drop-down navigation in implementation of three-dimensional navigational structures.

Detta görs genom att generera en viss ljudidentitet från en given sifferkod. Problemet för hand är en idé att förenkla användarens interaktion på webben. När en vanlig användare har tillgång till en webbsidans interaktion krävs för att fortsätta med den aktuella uppgiften. Men om uppgiften är känd för utvecklaren, kan den här uppgiften inom en viss inställning automatiseras. Mentimeter är ett verktyg för att skapa interaktiva presentationer. Presentatören uppmanar publiken att navigera till en viss sida för att infoga en kod. Publiken kan sedan gå med i presentationsinteraktiviteten. Uppgiften till hands i detta fall är där användaren ska ange koden. Det ligger inom en viss inställning och den saknade delen för att automatisera denna process är tekniken för att skicka data med lätthet. Ett sätt att automatisera är med hjälp av ljud och olika ljudfrekvenser. Denna rapport kommer att undersöka möjligheterna till kommunikation via ljud på webben. Dessutom kommer det här att undersöka gränserna för ljudanalys på webben.<br>Sound analysis in the web can have different meanings. Determining sound quality or recognising sounds for example. For this specific case it means sending data through sound from one device to another. With the help of mathematical methods such as Fast Fourier Transform and the development environment in the web browser. This is done by generating a particular sound identity from a given digit code. The problem at hand is an idea of simplifying user interaction in the web. When a regular user accesses a web page interaction is required to proceed with the task at hand. However, if the task is known for the developer, within a given setting, this task could be automated. Mentimeter is a tool for creating interactive presentations. The presenter prompts the audience to navigate to a specific page to insert a code. The audience can then join the interactivity of the presentation. The task at hand in this case is where the user should enter the code. It is within a given setting and the missing piece for automating this process is the technology for sending data with ease. One way of automating is with the use of sound and different sound frequencies. This report will explore the possibilities for communication through sound within the web. In addition this this, it will also explore the limits of sound analysis in the web.

The purpose of this Master’s thesis is to examine the function of public libraries on the social web, focusing on reading promotion and reading stimulation. For an understanding of the larger context regarding public libraries on the social web, we conducted online interviews via email with people in the Swedish library profession, together with a content analysis of various texts on the subject found in library journals and on the Internet. Furthermore to identify the public library's practice on reading promotion and reading stimulation on the social web, we did interviews with librarians at a public library on their use of a blog for this purpose, together with a questionnaire handed out to the library's users on their use and conceptions of the blog.The conceptual framework of this study consists of four key aspects in the theoretical and empirical definition of Library 2.0 presented by Holmberg, Huvila and Widén-Wulff. The results showed that the public library can create a substantial value through its use of the social web, but it’s necessary to have a clear vision of the desired outcome. The study also showed the importance of seeing the social web as one of several possible channels for the public library's work, and that it can be specifically useful to reach the younger generation. Moreover the study showed that the social web is a useful tool for the public library’s reading promotion and reading stimulation, as it provides beneficial features for conversation.

Kunskapslucka: Denna studie har identifierat en kunskapslucka vad gäller hur företag fastställer och verkställer designstrategi för att stödja övergripande varumärkesstrategi på webben. Metod: Studien avser att undersöka tillämpning av designstrategi genom att ta fram ett designförslag som baserats på en användarcentrerad designprocess. För att göra detta har intervjuer med experter samt expertutvärdering av webbsidor utförts för att kartlägga en billeverantörs återförsäljares domän, baserat på motsvarande strategi för köpresa som är avsedd för att leda besökaren till billeverantörens produkt- och tjänsteutbud som representeras av återförsäljare och dess webbsidor. Denna datainsamling ligger till grund för persona och kontextscenarion som översätts till identifierade krav som motsvarar produktens designstrategi. Designstrategin ligger sedan till grund för det skapande momentet i den användarcentrerade designprocessen, där iterativ design leder till förädlande av framtagna ramverksskisser till interaktiv prototyp. Resultat och slutsats: Resultatet av studien som var en framtagen interaktiv prototyp visar att användarcentrerad design som tillämpar designstrategi, genom att fastställa företagets och användarens mål och behov samt innehålls- och funktionalitetskrav, är ett alternativ som tillåter strukturerad förädling av en webbsida till den punkt att webbsidan uppfyller sin designstrategi. Resultatet visar också att beroende på hur grundlig en kartläggning är och hur välformulerad designstrategin är påverkar hur väl framtagen webbsida, vare sig det är en prototyp eller slutprodukt, uppfyller sitt syfte.<br>Purpose: Corporations experience difficulties positioning themselves on the web as a result of not developing their websites in a way that is inline with their overall business strategy. The purpose of this study is to explore how corporations should apply design strategy, based on a user-centered design perspective, to support their overall business strategy on the web. Originality/value: This study has identified a knowledge gap in terms of how corporations define and apply design strategy in order to support their overall business strategy on the web. Methodology: This study aims to research the application of design strategy by creating a prototype through the use of a user-centered design process. This was done by interviewing experts as well as evaluating websites, in order to explore the domain of a car manufacturers retailers, which was based on the corresponding strategy of leading the visitor to the car manufacturers offerings that are represented by the retailers and their websites. This data collection was the foundation in the creation of a persona and context scenarios that was translated into identified needs that represented the products design strategy. The design strategy in turn was the foundation for the creating phase of the user-centered design process, where iterative design lead to refining framework sketches and an interactive prototype. Findings and conclusion: The study which resulted in an interactive prototype shows that user-centered design, which applies design strategy by defining the corporations and the users goals and needs, is an alternative that allows for structured refinement to the point that the website fulfills its design strategy. The results also show that depending on how well the domain exploration is executed as well as how well the design strategy is defined will affect the resulting website and to what extent it fulfills its purpose, whether it’s is still a prototype or if it’s the end result.

<p>Denna rapport behandlar push-teknik, en teknik för att skicka data i realtid inom webbapplikationer.</p><p>Många gånger i dagens mer interaktiva webb kan ett behov finnas av att behandla data på ett alternativt sätt. På grund av detta kändes det valda ämnet relevant inom ramen för webbutveckling.</p><p>Syftet är att undersöka hur vida denna teknik skiljer sig mot andra tekniker för att transportera data. För att kunna undersöka push-tekniken har en applikation skapats med hjälp av ett ramverk för detta ändamål. Som ramverk för arbetet valdes APE som innehåller en komplett lösning för push-teknik på webben.</p><p>Som underlag för rapporten utvecklades en spelapplikation samt en utvärdering av ramverket APE och ett antal prestandatester gjordes.</p><br><p>This study deals with push technology, a technology to send real-time data within web applications.</p><p>Many times in today's more inter-active web an alternative way of processing data may be needed. Because of this, the topic seemed relevant in the context of web development.</p><p>The aim is to examine how far this technique contrasts with other techniques to transport data. To investigate the push technology an application was created using a framework for this purpose. As a framework for the exercise the APE framework, containing a complete solution for push technology on the web, was chosen.</p><p>As a basis for the report a gaming application was developed and a number of performance tests as well as an evaluation of the framework APE were made.</p>

Targitude Handelsbolag har en konceptuell idé om att erbjuda användare en webbaserad träningsdagbok med ett innovativt gränssnitt och ett system som kan ge användaren förslag på passande träning beroende på användarens kondition. En träningsdagbok är vanligtvis utformad som en vanlig dagbok och är ett hjälpmedel för träningsaktiva att följa upp sin träning. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att leverera en fungerande produkt till uppdragsgivaren för att på så sätt visa att deras koncept fungerar. En viktig del i projektet har varit att integrera produktens inloggningssystem med webbshop-systemet OpenCart, vilken uppdragsgivaren önskar använda parallellt. Uppdragsgivarens önskan var att en användare bara skulle behöva logga in i ett av systemen för att bli inloggad i båda. På detta vis slipper användaren logga in på nytt vid navigation från det ena systemet till det andra. Produkten implementerades som en hemsida där användargränssnittet byggdes i HTML och CSS, logiken skrevs i PHP och Javascript och data lagrades i en MySQL-databas. Användare, som har ett konto i systemet, kan logga in och presenteras ett veckoschema och en lista med förslag på vad användaren borde träna under den vecka som visas baserat på användarens konditionsnivå. Användaren kan själv planera sin vecka genom att med hjälp av musen dra träningspassen till passande plats i schemat. Så fort systemet uppfattades som tillräckligt klart för att fungera testades det av en av uppdragsgivaren inbjuden grupp testanvändare. Uppdragsgivaren utvärderade sedan produkten baserat på vad testgruppen tyckte. Denna testperiod fungerade även som slutligt test av källkoden för att hitta och åtgärda eventuella fel, endast två fel uppdagades och de åtgärdades med en gång. Efter testomgången och utvärderingen var uppdragsgivaren nöjd med den produkt som levererades. Samtliga av uppdragsgivaren ställda krav uppfylldes och projektet föll väl ut. Efter projektets genomförande kunde jag visa på att uppdragsgivarens koncept fungerade och de båda systemen hade en synkroniserad inloggningshantering. Dock levererades ingen fullständigt genomarbetad produkt. Innan den kan anses komplett krävs viss vidareutveckling, främst med komplettering av ytterligare funktionalitet för att ge användaren ett komplett verktyg men även med avseende på systemets säkerhet och hur systemet hanterar inloggningsuppgifter.

Nu ligger fokus även på användarvänligheten. Principerna för användbarhet ger utvecklare nya perspektiv för form, struktur och färgsättning av en webbsida. Färger runt om i världen har olika betydelser. Det människor inte tänker på är hur färger påverkar deras känslor och undermedvetna. Syftet med denna studien är att undersöka vilka känslor som inges från en webbsidas färgsättning och hur färgsättningen påverkar användbarheten. Med hjälp av litteraturstudie som datainsamlingsmetod kan detta besvaras. Även ett experiment används som innehåller en enkät. Syftet med enkäten är att undersöka vilka känslor som inges vid användandet av en röd respektive blå webbsida. Resultatet av denna studien identifierar och diskuterar vilka känslor som inges och hur användbarheten påverkas av en webbsidas färgsättning.<br>With the development of the web, the competition between companies has occurred the last century. Tillgängligt innehåll på webben är uppmärksammat sedan länge inom webbutveckling. Kognitiv tillgänglighet innebär att innehållet även är tillgängligt för användare med en kognitiv funktionsnedsättning. En person med kognitiv funktionsnedsättning har nedsatt förmåga att ta in och bearbeta information. Exempel på svårigheter är koncentration, inlärning eller minnesproblem. Många människor pratar om kognitiv funktionsnedsättning i termer som ADHD och andra vanligt förekommande diagnoser i kategorin. Dock händer det inte ofta att webbutvecklare talar om kognitiv funktionsnedsättning i diskussioner om tillgänglighet på webben. Detta kan anses märkligt eftersom kognitiva funktionsnedsättningar är mer vanligt än de fysiska funktionsnedsättningar som tillgänglighet oftast syfar till. Riktlinjerna WCAG 2.0 är framtagna för att möta alla användares behov men upplevs vara otillräckliga för att möta kognitiv tillgänglighet. Denna studie lyfter fram vilka kognitiva behov som finns på webben och riktlinjerna WCAG 2.0 granskas utifrån de behov som definierats. I denna och även i tidigare studier kan vi se att användare med kognitiv funktionsnedsättning behöver rättstavningshjälp, igenkännbart innehåll, textuppläsning och att slippa se popup-rutor och blinkande eller rörligt innehåll. Riktlinjer som möter dessa behov är bland annat riktlinje 10 om förutsägbart innehåll och riktlinje 11 om inmatningsstöd. Där det saknas riktlinjer för att möta kognitiva behov finns istället utvecklade hjälpmedel som stödjer olika kognitiva behov. Exempel på ett sådant hjälpmedel är Chrome-tillägget AdBlock som blockerar popup-rutor. Resultatet i denna studie visar att riktlinjerna faktiskt är tillräckligt bra och med hjälp av befintliga hjälpmedel möter de alla kognitiva behov.<br>Accessible web content is a familiar concept since many years. It has a fundamental purpose of making web content useful for everyone regardless of abilities. Cognitive accessibility imply that the content is also accessible for people with cognitive disabilities. Difficulty with mental tasks such as memory, problem-solving and attention is one definition of cognitive disability. It’s common to talk about cognitive disabilities in terms of diagnosis like ADHD and others. Despite the fact that accessibility and cognitive disabilities are highlighted terms apart, the compound term cognitive accessibility is not that very highlighted among web developers while discussing web accessibility. This can be considered odd since cognitive disabilities are more frequent then other physical disabilities. Te accessibility guidelines WCAG 2.0 are produced with its purpose of describing guidelines for making web content accessible for all users. These guidelines are perceived insufficient where cognitive needs are concerned. Tis study emphasizes what cognitive needs there currently are and the guidelines WCAG 2.0 are criticized towards the emphasized cognitive needs. In this study and other studies cognitive needs have been defined such as spellchecker, recognizable content, text to speech and the need of avoiding popups and blinking or moving content. There are guidelines to answer for those needs. Two of these guidelines are Guideline 10 and 11 where Guideline 10 is about predictable content and Guideline 11 is about input support. Where cognitive needs are not answered by any guidelines, there are many tools for cognitive needs available. One tool of such quality is the Chrome extension AdBlock for user to block content such as popups or ads. According to the results of this study, the guidelines WCAG 2.0 are actually good enough and together with available tools they answer for all cognitive needs.

This thesis proposes a design for a cognitive array system for next generation wireless communication systems, combining the techniques of cognitive radios and adaptive array systems. This novel array system allows for the possibility of greater spectral usage and reuse, and improved communication ranges. In this thesis, numerous algorithms were studied to map an RF environment in both spatial and spectral domains that would be useful in this system. Towards this goal, direction of arrival estimation, frequency sensing and spectral hole finding algorithms were studied, in addition to a joint frequency and direction of arrival estimation algorithm. Beamforming was also studied as a means of improving signal quality and increasing range. Once the direction to a target was found, localization and tracking were studied to further refine the target's position and change in position over time. After the algorithms were studied in simulation to determine their properties, hardware calibration was performed followed by laboratory tests of the methods with a uniform circular array testbed at Montana State University to verify the expected performances.

<p><p>Rapporten tar upp och behandlar ämnet betalväxlar utifrån en utvecklares perspektiv. Två företag som varit i eller nära inpå processen att utveckla en webbshop har intervjuats och jämförts med utbudet hos ett antal olika betalväxlar. Intervjuerna har visat ett resultat som är mycket troligt att man som ny utvecklare kommer i kontakt med i början. Positionen kan då vara både som utvecklare eller som ägare till webbshoppen. Det gick även att konstatera att det fanns ett antal betalväxlar lämpade för olika kunskapsnivåer. Professionell hjälp i form av råd och implementation måste inte tvunget vara en nödvändighet för att man ska kunna sätta upp en relativt avancerad webbshop.</p></p><br><p><p>This report deals with online Payment Service Providers (PSPs) from the developer's point of view. Two companies that were in or in close connection to the process of developing a web shop were interviewed and compared to the suppöy of payment options at a number of different payment PSPs. The interviews has shown a result which is probable that a new developer will get in contact with in the beginning. The position could be either as a web developer or as an owner of a web shop. It was also possible to establish that there were a number of PSPs suitable for different levels of knowledge within the field. Professional help such as advices and implementation is not necessary in order to be able to set up a relatively advanced web shop.</p></p>

I Sverige finns det i dag ca: 350.000 diabetiker och varje dag måste de testa sitt blodsocker 6-7 gånger, ibland oftare. Detta kräver disciplin och de måste göra detta så att de kan se att deras blodsockervärden är normala. Vårat mål är att skapa en webbsida som gör livet lättare för diabetiker. Ett problem som kan uppstå när man skapar en webbsida är att den inte blir tillräckligt användarvänlig och blir för svår för besökarna att använda och förstå. För att kunna hjälpa diabetiker så måste vi ta reda på hur vi ska visualisera de olika värden som diabetiker dagligen måste logga på något sätt. Vårat mål är att diabetikerna ska kunna logga sina värden på nätet och där även få värdena visualiserade och presenterade på ett enkelt och överskådligt sätt i en eller flera grafer. Våra användartester visar på att vi har lyckats skapa en webbsida användarvänlig för testpersonerna som deltog i vår evaluering. Evalueringen visar också på att det finns vissa tendenser som tyder på att blodsockervärdena bör visualiseras som en kontinuerlig linje i en graf och att insulinintag bör visas som staplar. Vi kan dock konstatera att det finns meningsskiljaktigheter mellan experter om hur de olika värdena bör visualiseras.
