Schools must promote scientific vocations designing teaching-learning strategies that involve teachers, pupils, scientists and the students’ families. Keen on this idea we have developed a didactic participative design to promote science learning in students of primary and secondary schools. With the collaboration of teachers from three primary schools in Nelson (New Zealand) and three high schools (secondary education) in Asturias (Spain), educational sessions were organized where scientists posed research challenges to 323 students. While they were learning key concepts about science they were instructed about basic scientific methodologies with the aim that they could carry out some research by themselves, both individually and in groups. The transfer of knowledge acquired during the sessions transcended the school environment because students shared their research with their families. Scientific vocation can be worked up in the educational environment by changing the teaching methodology and introducing current and relevant scientific topics. Teachers should count on the active participation of scientists for this. When the students of these educational levels are involved in real research their scientific vocation is stimulated, as is the transfer of scientific knowledge to the families. Résumé A la fin du XIXe siècle, en France, trois sortes d'écoles dispensent l'enseigne- ment secondaire tel qu'on l'entend aujourd'hui, soit les lycées et collèges, les écoles primaires supérieures et les écoles à vocation plutôt professionnelle. Ces dernières se divisent également en trois catégories — Ecoles pratiques, Ecoles professionnelles et Ecoles d'arts et métiers — et ce sont elles qui constituent l'objet de cette recherche. L'auteur s'arrête d'abord à la période d'avant la première guerre mondiale, c'est-à-dire aux années 1880-1914, puis il s'attarde plus longuement à la période de l'entre-deux-guerres. On nous renseigne sur la formation professionnelle des ouvriers qualifiés et des cadres techniques pendant ces deux décennies; on élabore sur les liens qui s'établissent entre ces écoles, le gouvernement et l'industrie; on établit enfin un bilan du progrès réalisé dans l'enseignement professionnel tout au long de cette période. Restent les années de l'après-guerre et l'auteur esquisse à grands traits les divers changements qui se sont produits dans ces institutions depuis 1945.

Abstract This paper presents the case for how students can be helped to increase their scientific vocation by experimental work and the introduction of particle physics into pre-university studies. These two ideas are the two main lines of work of the ADMIRA initiative, which has been created by individuals belonging to different and complementary educational and research institutions. The initiative consists of a network of schools that share Minipix devices, a readout system for the Timepix detector designed at CERN in the framework of the Medipix2 Collaboration. The schools receive logistical and technical support from the local University (the University of Barcelona) and from CERN. The centres involved and the objectives, as well as the characteristics of the project are presented. The technical and didactic materials available are also shown. Finally, some initiative data has been analysed to show its rapid growth, and some students’ research is presented showing the diversity of tasks that can be done with such detectors.

This research aims to develop an electronic AutoCAD learning module for drawing brick ties as an effort to increase the effectiveness of learning at Vocation High School 2 Merangin. The research method used is the Lee and Owens development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The results of this research show that the AutoCAD learning module developed received a positive response from experts and students. This module is effective in improving students' understanding and skills in drawing brick ties using AutoCAD software. The novelty of this research lies in the development of interactive and interesting electronic modules to facilitate more effective and interesting learning. The implications of this research are increasing student motivation and interest in learning as well as increasing the quality of learning at Vocation High School 2 Merangin. Thus, the use of this AutoCAD learning module can make a positive contribution to improving the quality of education in the field of building engineering. The results of this research indicate that the development of an AutoCAD learning module can be an effective solution in overcoming challenges in learning technical drawing, especially in drawing brick ties. Therefore, it is hoped that the use of this module can be an innovative and efficient learning alternative in vocational high schools, as well as making a positive contribution in improving students' skills in technical drawing and their preparation for the world of work.

Education is one field that has a role in creating human resources and national development. The national education system states that the government can ensure equal distribution of education, quality improvement, the relevance and efficiency of education management. The implementation of education in regions of Indonesia has obstacles, including in remote areas have not been evenly distributed in accessing education services. The provision of schools and teaching staff is a supporting factors for teaching and learning activities. All regions, including sub-districts in Cianjur Regency. One of the efforts for equity is to use the k-means method to classifysub-districts in Cianjur Regency in the provision of schools and teachers by the Government. The data used number of schools and teachers at the elementary school, junior high school, high school and vocation high school level in every sub-district in Cianjur Regerency in 2020. The results that have been researched show two clusters.Cluster 1 or an area that has several schools and the number of teachers lacked in Cianjur Regency consisting of 21 sub-districts and cluster 2 or an area had a better number of schools and the number of teachers than cluster 1 in Cianjur Regency consisting of 11 sub-districts.

The fundamental goal of India's formal education system is to improve students' academic success in public examination results, since the Indian educational system is mostly centred on examinations. As a result, parents choose to send their children to schools with higher academic accomplishment. Because a student with a high grade point average and a high percentage of marks has a lot of options when it comes to entrance, training, and vocation. The necessity of the hour is to boost academic attainment. It's because of certain influencing elements, such as intake, process, and result. An institution's overall academic growth leads to more and higher accomplishment in public examinations. The purpose of this research is to examine the state's overall academic accomplishment in both public and private high schools. Specifically, the essay aims to investigate and determine the causes for the disparities in student academic success between government and private high schools in Warangal East, Hyderabad State, between 2009 and 2011. Furthermore, based on (a) the results of the research and (b) the opinions of the principals of reputable institutions, the article seeks to uncover some suggestion methods for the development of high school education in the mentioned district.

This study finds out the relationship between work performance and job satisfaction among teachers of junior high schools in Philippines. They were well aware of the facts of their job satisfaction, e.g., school policies, supervision methods, pay and other benefits, relationships between faculty and students, further growth and promotions, workplace conditions, achievement and recognition, and responsibility and accountability. It was concluded that teachers’ job satisfaction could produce an effectiveness and sustainability in educational institutions. Using a descriptive method, a non-probability convenience sampling was employed for 70 public school teachers. Two existing validated questionnaires were used: the Three-Component Model Employee Commitment Survey, to surface the level of work commitment of teachers in an organisation; and Job Satisfaction Survey, to evaluate the teachers’ overall job satisfaction. Findings show a significant relationship between work commitment and job satisfaction, specifically in terms of position and educational level. In addition, teachers are satisfied with the people within the organisation; however, it also shows that teachers are not satisfied with too much paper work. It is recommended that teachers should consider the teaching job as a profession and as a vocation. Keywords: High schools in Philippines, job satisfaction, descriptive method, work commitment.

A teacher with self-efficacy is more able to accomplish any task from the management so that he is engaged to his work, and a teacher who regards his work as a calling has the proper motivation to work better. The aim of this study was to find whether there is a correlation between teacher’s self-efficacy and work engangement and whether there is a correlation between the meaning of work as a calling and work engagement of private high school teachers in Surabaya. The subjects (N = 87) were teachers from three private schools in Surabaya. The data was collected through close-ended statements scales with five options of answer that were later analyzed through a nonparametric correlation test with SPSS 19.00. The result showed a correlation between teachers’ self-efficacy and work engagement (r = .08; p < .05) and a correlation between the meaning of work as a calling and work engagement (r = .612; p < .05). Based on the result, it could be concluded that teachers’ self efficacy and meaning of work as a calling could not be treated as one unit, but each correlated independently with their work engagement.

The choice of a profession is one of the important stages in a person's life, it can be said that it determines most of the future life. The choice of profession is, first of all, the choice of a person. When choosing a profession, a person chooses not only the necessary means to meet material needs, but also a way of life. A choice made without regard to the profession, or only taking into account external circumstances or the interests of others, is an experiment that can cost a person and the people around him dearly. The purpose of our study was to study the professional interests and professional orientation of the students of the pilot schools, to determine how well they are informed about the issues of vocational education and what factors influence the choice of a profession. We should also conduct a training on the topic: "Choose a profession." According to the hypothesis, the students of our school are less informed about the issues of vocation, and are also insufficiently prepared for the right choice of profession. The results of the study confirmed our assumption. In particular, it was found that the students of our school are less informed in matters of vocational training, and are also insufficiently prepared for the right choice of profession, which means taking into account their own interests, skills and abilities when choosing a profession. Pupils experience a lack of information on issues related to professions. In addition, respondents believe that the school needs the work of a psychologist who will provide qualified advice on issues related to the choice of profession. It is noteworthy that it is important that pupils are better informed about what skills and abilities are necessary for mastering different professions. Therefore, at each stage of the study, it was important to determine the correspondence of skills and abilities to the chosen profession.

This research identifies the importance of Islamic colleges in preparing preachers ,reviews the linguistic and idiomatic meaning of the call, speaking about the role of the teacher in preparing the preachers, the role of the curricula in preparing the preachers, and the role of the student in preparing him for the call. One of the most important results of the search, is the issue of preparing the preacher the contemporary ummah, because the preacher to God Almighty, if he is properly prepared, he will be able, after the grace of God Almighty, to enlighten the ummah about its religion and alert it to the importance of its role in the life of humanity, which is the role of leadership, guidance and education. The school curriculum and the teacher have a great role and impact on the numbers of preachers. One of the most important benefits that the student and preacher reap from Islamic high schools, is the understanding of Islam, a moderate, understanding which is away from exaggeration and extremism.

A Learning Development Of Beauty Skill Program At A Vocational School In Preserving Local Wisdom. Objectives: The research is to analyze the learning development of beauty skill program at a vocational school in preserving local wisdom. Methods: to employ a qualitative approach with an analytically descriptive method towards two-state vocational schools in Kabupaten Bandung and Bandung city. Library research, in-depth interviews, a document study and observation were carried out to gather data. Informants were chosen by using a snowball technique, the findings, then, were examined and analyzed by using management theory by Deming, curriculum theory of social reconstruction and learning theory of constructivism by Vygotsky. Findings: Learning development planning of beauty skill at a vocation school in preserving local wisdom is designed by formulating vision and mission, arranging curriculum, providing more productive teachers and improving learning facilities. Learning development implementation is made by achieving student’s competence, involving experts and industrial and business world. Learning development is supervised by the Department of Education, Branch Department of Education West Java Provincial Government and school superintendent. The problem faced in learning development is the lack of productive subject time allotment, human resources and qualified teachers understanding local wisdom. The improvement is by enhancing industrial and business world cooperation and teaching factory, collaborating with professional, experts and practitioner organization, using subject time allotment and extracurricular activities. Conclusion: By learning development of beauty skill program in preserving local wisdom, it affects the quality improvement of graduates who have high awareness towards local wisdom, educational service improvement and the achievement of learning development implementation and the learning quality improvement.

<p>ABSTRAK</p><p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Pengaruh kompetensi profesional terhadap kinerja guru akuntansi SMK bisnis manajemen di Kabupaten Klaten, dan (2) Pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi profesional guru secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru akuntansi SMK bisnis manajemen di Kabupaten Klaten. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian ex-post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh guru akuntansi SMK bisnis manajemen di Kabupaten Klaten sejumlah 73 guru dari 15 sekolah. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif dan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu sebagai berikut. (1) Tidak ada pengaruh kompetensi profesional terhadap kinerja guru akunansi SMK bisnis manajemen di Kabupaten (β =0,643, sig = 0,522). This research was ex-post facto quantitative approach. The population of this research simultaneously as sample was all of accounting teachers in Klaten District which involved 73 teachers and 15 schools. The data were collected by questionnaires. Analyzing data referred to descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. (1) There is no influence of Professional Competence on accounting teacher’s performance at vocational high school of bussines management in Klaten district (t = 0.643, sig = 0.522). (2) There is an influence of school leadership, pedagogical and professional competences on accounting teacher’s performance at vocational high school of bussines management in Klaten district (F = 33.584, sig = 0.000).</p>

The present study aims at investigating the perspectives of Malaysian secondary school teachers and students towards computer technology in education during the Covid‑19 Pandemic. A questionnaire adapted from Christensen and Knezek (1998) was used as a data collection instrument in this study. The participants included 49 secondary school teachers, 63 student teachers and 125 secondary school students. The main result of the study indicates that teachers have the most positive perspectives towards computers than that of student teachers and senior high school students. In contrast, senior high school students do not have positive perspectives towards the use of computer technology. In addition, they have different perspectives concerning different constructs including enthusiasm, email, vocation, aversion and enjoyment. The results of this research offer an understanding of Malaysian secondary school teachers’ and students’ perspectives to computer technology in education. Therefore, it can help promulgate computer usage in secondary education. In addition, the findings will inform policy-makers and stakeholders of secondary schools to prepare particular strategies for diverse targeted groups to enhance computer applications.

Background: High school students have a far-reaching discernment when it comes to opting a vocation this is because decisions made in the senior year of school concretes their future. Physiotherapy is a health-maintenance craft that necessitate appraisal and drawing out a diagnosis to heal deterioration, improve vigor, and hence improve standard of living. This study evaluated the perception of high school students about physiotherapy as a profession and career option. Methodology: Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria 200 high school students were selected using cluster sampling. Outcome measures used a self-made questionnaire sculpted as Google form which was sent to students from standard IX to XII. Bearing physiotherapy as an option within health sciences domain in mind, various types of questions specific to physiotherapy department, its practice areas, and the course study were put forth to these students through the online questionnaire. Results: The percentage of students who considered physiotherapy as a career option in medicine was 59% but, 72.5% were not aware of the eligibility criteria for entering a physiotherapy degree program and 73.5% did not know about the pathological conditions treated in physical therapy although, 81% agreed that physical therapy is effective in reducing pain. Mixed opinions were noted on physical therapy as profession as good (46.5%), very good (24%), excellent (23%) and not good (6.5%). Conclusion: Conclusion of above study is that the awareness among students of senior secondary section of private schools across the city of Ludhiana in Punjab is less than half of the percentage in most of the questions of surveyed population. None of the students were able to complete the whole questionnaire perfectly. Key words: awareness; physiotherapy; private schools; career options; students.

Objective: to determine the level of future teachers’ professional readiness for pedagogical activity using the statistical method of analysis based on the secondary data of a sociological research; to assess the factors affecting the above level.Methods: the study applied an index method of generalizing the data of sociological measurements to calculate the index of professional readiness for pedagogical activity (Iprpa). As part of the assessment, we used the data of the sociological survey conducted by VolNTs RAS in May-June 2023 among graduate students majoring in pedagogy at vocational schools and universities of Vologda oblast.Results: based on generalization of the study of professional readiness for pedagogical activity (futher – PRPA), a theoretical model of criterion-level assessment of this phenomenon was proposed. Within the model approbation, the readiness of future teachers for professional activity was assessed. Calculations showed that 24.6 % of the surveyed graduates had a high level, 44.6 % had an average level, and 30.8 % had a low level of PRPA. At the same time, university graduates had a lower level of readiness for school work than those who get a profession in colleges. The correlation analysis revealed that future teachers’ PRPA is strongly influenced by the presence of professional vocation as a sense of spiritual connection with the profession, and is influenced weakly by the purchasing power of their income. The spread of negative perceptions of the teaching profession among graduates usually reduces their readiness to work in the profession.Practical significance: the study proposes a step-by-step algorithm for assessing professional readiness for pedagogical activity using a sociological database. It is suggested that the process of the PRPA formation is influenced not only by the educational organization, but also by the future specialist personality. In particular, it concerns the inner desire to see oneself in pedagogical activity as an established professional, which is not always formed in the process of training at vocational schools and universities (especially if admission to the major was associated with “negative selection”). In this regard, we formulate proposals to overcome the effect of “negative selection” in the professional training of future teachers.Scientific novelty: the study clarifies the approach to the category of “professional readiness for pedagogical activity” and proposes a methodology for assessing the PRPA level, which includes a theoretical model of criterion-level assessment of this phenomenon, as well as an algorithm for calculating the final index of PRPA.

The demand for certified sports coaches in Singapore is high, especially from the schools and private sectors. This trend is in line with the significant global growth of the vocation of sports coaching (Taylor & Garratt, 2013). The purpose of this paper is to provide an informal review of the state of coaching and coach education in Singapore, by addressing three main themes: (1) provide an overview of the evolution of the Singaporean coaching system since the late 1990s, (2) describe examples of identified ground up initiatives from various stakeholders within the coaching ecosystem and (3) draw conclusions from existing literature and provide suggestions on how coach education systems can be further developed. The foundation of the current coaching system was established in the late 1990s with the introduction of the National Coaching Accreditation Program (NCAP) and it is still the benchmark for the coaching practice in Singapore today. The basic NCAP is broken down to a theory and technical component which is administered by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and the National Sports Associations (NSAs) respectively. The SSC had embarked on various initiatives over the years to ensure that more Singaporeans have access to quality coaching.

This research examines the relationship between Person-Environment fit (PE fit) and teachers’ work engagement and motivation in the context of public elementary schools in the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Philippines. The study surveyed 117 teachers through random sampling and utilized multiple regression analysis to identify significant predictors of teachers’ work engagement and motivation. Results indicate that P-E fit is highly observed among public elementary school teachers with high work engagement and motivation. Moreover, there was a moderate correlation between the different factors of P-E fit, including person-vocation fit, person-organization fit, person-group fit, and person-job fit. The study’s most notable finding is that person-organization and person-group fit significantly influenced teachers’ work engagement and motivation. This suggests that teachers who fit well with their organization and workgroup are more likely to be motivated and engaged. These findings have implications for human resource management and organizational leadership practices, highlighting the importance of considering P-E fit when hiring and managing teachers. Overall, this study contributes to the growing literature on P-E fit and its impact on work engagement and motivation. It provides valuable insights for school administrators and policymakers on creating a work environment that fosters teacher engagement and motivation, ultimately improving the quality of education for students.

Spiritual vocation is a broad concept that affects the human spirit or soul that collides the sense of connection to the people giving a bigger meaning in life. Vocation is a work that people feel to do, particularly people want to fulfill a particular role in life. Meanwhile, academic satisfaction is the whole experience of the students and also their expectation regarding to their academic reality. The study intends to assess the association between students’ spiritual vocation and academic satisfaction particularly to find out the students’ association between students’ spiritual vocation and students’ academic satisfaction. The study banked the theory proposed by John Holland titled Vocational Choice Theory and Alexander Astin titled Students Involvement Theory. This quantitative approach research used descriptive survey design used rating scale research instruments in gathering the data. The respondents of the study were the Senior High School Students with a total population of 245 but only 194 students acceded to answer. The researchers asked permission from the students to be the respondents of this research study using informed letter signed by the principal and teachers involved. The researchers provided answer sheets to the respondents to answer. The researcher gave instructions and discussed the purpose of the study before allowing the students to answer the survey questionnaires. The researchers gave at least 10 minutes to answer the questionnaire. The result of the study revealed that there is no association between the students’ spiritual vocation and academic satisfaction.

This study aims to describe the managerial competence of principals in turning their schools into centers of excellence. This concept is derived from the experience expressed by the leaders responsible for the development of quality management in public and private vocational high schools at East Borneo. This research is a comparative study that uses a qualitative approach with a case study method at two vocational high schools in East Borneo-collecting data using interview, observation, and documentation methods. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to obtain information and excellent school programs from the six informants who participated in this study. They consist of two principals, two curriculum officers, and two teachers who support the flagship program in their school. The results of this study indicate that the principal leads his school to realize a superior and quality Vocational High School; this is the implementation of their managerial competence. Vocational High Schools are organized to prepare a skilled middle-level workforce to support national development in employment and career selection and develop student competencies to compete globally and create jobs. Public and Private Vocational Schools in East Borneo have great potential to become centers of excellence. The principal's managerial competence supports this. Adequate infrastructure according to standard equipment in the industry. In addition, they apply all the knowledge obtained from school about attitudes, manners, character, and Pancasila student profiles in the studio environment and the community in their environment. The Center for Excellence Vocational School's management responsibilities includes developing policies, conducting research, and proposing ideas to the Directorate of Education. Following that, a schedule of tasks is completed to acquire tangible and intangible infrastructure and mentoring activities related to each vocational school's area of specialization.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of school climate and leadership on school productivity in the business and management of SMK in Bekasi district. In this study, data was collected through the use of a quantitative technique and an explanatory survey involving a questionnaire. Multivariate regression is used to analyze the data. As a result of this research, we can say: The Business and Management Skills Vocational School in Bekasi Regency's productivity is positively influenced by the leadership of the school's principal, as well as the school's overall climate. The productivity of SMK Business and Management in Bekasi district is greatly influenced by the leadership and school climate at Vocational School in Bekasi Regency. The principle of SMK is advised to maximize the supporting aspects of the school environment, such as the school climate, in order to boost productivity.

AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to provide some preliminary data on the vocational interests of a sample of Australian high school pupils. Subjects (N=935) from five high schools were administered the Career Interest Test, which provides idiographic, forced-choice assessments of Outdoor, Practical, Scientific, Creative, Business, Office, and People Contact vocational interests across the three dimensions of vocations, academic preferences, and leisure activity choices. Interests are not related to age but there are significant sex differences as well as interaction effects, with males higher on Outdoor and Practical and females higher on Creative and People Contact categories. Data are provided on male and females preferences for each of the 63 paired choices (i.e., 126 items). The intercorrelation of the interests was assessed in terms of Holland's vocational typology. The validity of vocational/academic/activity measures of interests was reflected in comparisons with expressed occupational choices. It was argued that interests may be considered in terms of work-task preferences and that male-female differences in interests are consistent with Gotffredson's role of stereotypes in interest development. The implications for the assessment of vocational inlerests are discussed in terms of item content, format, scoring, and interpretation.

If ours is a young man's world, it is also a woman's world. Some of us who are fortunate to have women among our graduate students and as young colleagues are extraordinarily impressed by the high level of their work. Indeed, we often wonder if criticism will not make substantial strides forward, blending the cognitive and the affective values, taste and a rational approach, the logic of the intellect and that of the heart, only when women take over a large share of it, as they are now out-numbering men as teachers of English and of languages in many schools. This country witnessed a bold feminist movement several decades ago. The second sex then conquered all the rights and courageously accepted corresponding duties. College presidents in women's colleges were in many cases women. In anthropology, archeology, psychology several American women have been outstanding. So have they been in journalism. Why not to the same extent today in philology, medieval studies, literary history, criticism? Are men to blame, wary of these potential rivals, preferring to utilize women's generosity and their capacity for devoted attachment by keeping them as secretaries and obedient confidents of their profound male cogitations? Have women put so much energy in once winning equality and security that they are now content to enjoy these rights, and to look upon maternity and procreation without tears and without anesthesia as their sole vocation? Men in any case have the duty to make room for them, to incite them to express themselves more boldly, to elect them to more positions of power in this Association and in others, to ask them for the healthy challenge which our duller brains need to receive from their keener perceptiveness in matters of art and literature.

This study attempts to explore the system approach in school entrepreneurship management in Vocational High Schools (VHS). Although the government has made attempts to promote entrepreneurship, little progress has been made. Thus, it is possible to observe how the approach of running educational institutions with the idea of entrepreneurship is encouraging for schools and students to make the most of their potential. This qualitative study included five Vocational High Schools implementing the entrepreneurship-based school program and the data was collected via documentation. The data analysis activity was carried out throughout the research activity, and the most core activities include data simplification, data display and conclusions drawing. This study revealed that the system approach of developing school entrepreneurship in Vocational High Schools included the preparation stage (P), the planning stage (P), implementation stage (I), and the marketing stage (M). In order to develop an entrepreneurship-based school, the school must overcome a number of challenges, including external partners issues, funding issues, human resources issues, infrastructure issues, marketing issues, and momentum issues.

The study was to describe the implementation of the entrepreneurial character education through the school culture in the vocational high schools (VHSs).The method that the researcher made use in the study was the qualitative one. The study was conducted in the 2 Depok Public Vocational High School and the 2 Pengasih Public Vocational High School. The data source in the study was the school members, the documents, and the school cultures. The data was collected by means of observation, interview, and documentation. For the instruments, the researcher made use of the human instrument and the interview guideline. The data was analyzed by using the open coding, the axial coding and the selective coding. The findings in the research were as folows: the entrepreneurial character education by means of the school culture implementation in the VHSs had been included in the entrepreneurship culture through: (1 ) the five artifacts in the verbal/conceptual dimension that might generate 17 dominant entrepreneurial characters; (2) the five artifacts in the action/behavioral dimension that might generate 8 dominant entrepreneurial characters; and (3) the four artifacts in the physical/material dimension that might generate seven dominant entrepreneurial characters.

The research is based on the results of the author's observations showing that the teacher's motivation is not optimal. Therefore, many factors affect work motivation, one of which is organizational culture. The purpose of the study was to determine: 1) work motivation, 2) school culture and 3) the relationship between organizational culture and work motivation. The hypothesis of the research is "there is a significant relationship between school culture and work motivation". This type of research is correlational. The population consists of all teachers who are in SMK totaling 63 people and also the sample of this study. The research instrument is a Likert Scale model with five alternative answers that have been tested for validity and reliability using the SPSS application. Data analysis using the Product Moment correlation formula. The results showed that 1) school culture was in the good category with a score of 87.6%, 2) work motivation was in the very high category with a score of 90.2%, and 3) there was a significant relationship between school culture and teacher work motivation of 0.450 which belongs to the moderately correlated

How are metaphorical perceptions of Anatolian high school and Vocational High School students’ schools conceptualized? What are the likes and dislikes of Anatolian and Vocational High School students about their schools? In this research, maximum diversity sampling was employed to reflect the views of students from different sampling areas and purposeful sampling methods. The study group consisted of students from an Anatolian High School and a Vocational High School in Ankara in the 2016-2017 academic year. The research was conducted with a total of two hundred students, one hundred from each high school. It was found that the students in both groups perceived the school with supervision and rules.

Vocational High Schools are educational institution aiming to prepare the ready-to-employ graduates by prioritizing their skill and expertise according to their areas of expertise (Azri, Irwan, & Nurul, 2020; Mukhlason, Winanti, & Yundra, 2020). Vocational High School is expected to play an important role in holistic human development and community development Indonesia entirely and reduce the number of early school leaver (Slamet, 2016; Diwangkoro & Soenarto, 2020; Farrugia & Martina, 2021). While the growth of employment in the industrial sector is growing slowly, the graduates of Vocational High Schools are increasing but the rate of joblessness of the Vocational Highs Schools graduates has become a critical issue in Indonesia (Erlinawati, 2020; Wijaya & Utami, 2021; Hanifah & Suharyanto, 2021). As a result, these Vocational High Schools graduates are not accommodated in the industrial sector and they become job seekers or open unemployment (Dewi, 2017; Yunikawati, Prayitno, Purboyo, Istiqomah, & Puspasari, 2018; Azman, Ambiyar, Simatupang, Karudin, & Dakhi, 2020). The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that in August 2021, the majority of unemployed people in Indonesia were dominated to 11.13% or 9.77 million by the graduates from Vocational High Schools (BPS, 2021). Most of the Vocational High Schools graduates intend to work immediately, but are not employed in the industry or business sector. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterbacaan wacana buku teks pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Sekolah Penggerak jenjang SMP kelas VII dan jenjang SMA/SMK kelas X belum sesuai. Berdasar hasil perhitungan menggunakan Grafik Fry, keterbacaan buku Bahasa Indonesia bagi Sekolah Penggerak kelas VII berada pada level 5 sedangkan kelas X pada level 6. Tingkat keterbacaan merupakan suatu perkiraan sehingga kemungkinan terjadi penyimpangan ke atas atau ke bawah. Oleh karenanya, level keterbacaan yang diperoleh hendaknya ditambah satu level dan dikurangi satu level. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan jika hasil uji keterbacaan wacana pada Grafik Fry berada di level 5 berarti wacana tersebut cocok untuk kelas IV, V, VI dan jika hasil uji keterbacaan wacana berada pada level 6 berarti wacana tersebut cocok untuk kelas V, VI, VII.

Teachers are important figures in forming the school climate, including in inclusive schools. Their perception will influence the learning process and indirectly affect students’ achievements. This study aimed to identify teachers’ perceptions of school climate in inclusive schools. Mixed method was used in this study. Quantitatively, questionnaires were given to 127 teachers from 2 inclusive vocational schools and 4 inclusive high schools in Jakarta, Bandung, and Surakarta, using accidental sampling technique. In each class, there were 2 – 3 students with special needs, which encompassed different types of disability such as physically disabled, low vision, slow learner, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and autism. Qualitatively, school observations and interviews were conducted with 10 teachers. The results showed that their perceptions of the school climate in high schools and vocational schools tended to be positive although the knowledge and application of inclusive education still needed to be improved. There were differences in several perceptual aspects due to the duration of teaching and the type of school.

This study investigates the impact of school factors on students’ categorisation of core competencies in general and vocational high schools, leading up to the full implementation of the high school credit system. The study’s conclusions are summarised based on the main findings. The results of the latent profile classification showed that both general and vocational upper secondary schools could be classified into three types of core competence profiles, namely ‘top core competence’, ‘upper core competence’ and ‘middle core competence’, and that the levels of the four sub-competences in each profile were similar. According to the results of the multinomial logistic regression analysis, the variables that showed statistical significance for the top group in both general and vocational upper secondary schools based on the middle group of core competences were ‘relevance of elective courses to careers’, ‘teaching method (interaction)’, ‘degree of reflection of students’ opinions’ and ‘city and region’, and the most influential variable in both groups was ‘teaching method (interaction)’. For the variables ‘teaching method (individualised)’, ‘no experience with optional courses’, ‘small and medium-sized town’ and ‘private school’, only general secondary schools showed statistically significant effects on group classification, while ‘large town’ showed a statistically significant negative regression value only for vocational schools.

The lack of attention of school culture has an adverse effect on the character building of students to the low productivity and effectiveness of the school. The aim of the research was to obtain data and information about school culture development in vocational high school. The research employed qualitative research. This research was done in Vocational High School (SMK) Negeri 9 Padang which is one of the favorite vocational high school with all accredited skills program A. Subjects in this research were principal, head majors, teachers, employees, and pupils. Data in this research was collected by using observation, interview, and documentation study. Data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study describe the culture of SMK Negeri 9 Padang seen from: (1) behavior; (2) norms; (3) dominant values; (4) philosophy; (5) rules; (6) school climate. The culture has been developing are hospitality culture and work above standard.

This study aims to know and describe the school’s efforts in preventing drug abuse (Narcotics, Psychotropic, and Other Addictive Substances) by students at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga. There were five respondents, namely the Head of Student Affairs, counseling teacher, subject teacher (PPKn), one of the students, and the Drug Unit of Salatiga Police. This research uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results showed that there are several efforts or activities that have been carried out by schools to prevent drug abuse by students, namely; 1) intracurricular activities carried out by subject teachers (PPKn, BK). 2) co-curricular activities, where this activity aims to deepen the material in intracurricular activities, such as the cooperation of counseling teachers with doctors who are more expert in the field of health. 3) extracurricular activities, which are activities outside of class hours, one of which is PMR. 4) school collaboration activities with other parties, namely BNN, Police / TNI. These activities are the efforts of SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga in preventing drug abuse.

This research aims to describe vocational service programs, especially at SMKN 1 Garut, as innovative community empowerment. This study used a case study method with a qualitative approach. This case study was conducted through interviews with five informants, non-participant observation, and document study. The collected data were analyzed using inductive analysis. The results showed that the vocational high school community service programs serve as innovative community empowerment programs. This case study found that the participation of vocational schools (SMK) in community service activities catalyzes the fostering of more robust connections between educational institutions and their local communities. Forms of SMK participation in community service activities cover ten expertise skills which serve as the foundation for the school's community empowerment initiatives, where community members are engaged and empowered through various programs and activities. The alignment of expertise competencies with community needs is crucial to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of the programs. Some programs, such as Logistics Management and Renewable Energy Engineering, have encountered resistance due to perceived irrelevance to community skill development. The research recommends a comprehensive evaluation of the specific needs within the local area for an effective and well-developed implementation of the community program.

This study aims to evaluate implementing the Industrial Work Practice (Prakerin) program at the Vocational High School (VHS) of 1 Rejotangan. This type of research is evaluative with a descriptive qualitative method using the CIPP model. The population of this study was 15 students involved, five work of world instructors, 21 teacher councils, and the headmaster of VHS of 1 Rejotangan. Data collection techniques use interviews and observations. Interviews are conducted openly and behind closed doors. The interview was conducted with the headmaster of VHS of 1 Rejotangan. The observations made by the researchers aimed to capture data on pre-employment activities, sincerity, and cooperation of participants and instructors during the activity. The results of this study are (1) synchronization of the joint curriculum to the world of work at the evaluation stage of the context of the VKS of 1 Rejotangan industrial practice program. At this stage, (1) the signing of an MOU between the world of work schools, a student readiness plan (competency mapping), and a placement plan (world of work Placement Mapping); (2) input evaluation obtained information that a cooperative organization was formed. The cooperative organization between schools and the business world and industry in the industrial practice program has two aspects: departmentalization and division of labor. The division of labor comprises principals and teachers from the business/industrial world. Meanwhile, departmentalization consists of mapping students. Place students in existing competencies and an appropriate world of work; (3) process evaluation, a collaboration between schools and the world of work for student development, is flexible and consistent with each school's policies; (4) product evaluation. The internship program has many benefits for schools and the world of work.

This study aims to examine and prove the factors that affect the optimisation of facilities and infrastructure in vocational high schools. The research design used is a quantitative research method. The study was conducted at vocational high schools. The research sample used was 125 teachers in vocational high schools. Data collection techniques were carried out using a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis through t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect on the optimisation of facilities and infrastructure for the rule factor, partnership factor, student needs factor and motivation factor. The findings of this study prove that the optimisation of facilities and infrastructure is very important to be developed and implemented in vocational high schools. Educators serving in Vocational High Schools have not met the competency standards. This study aimed to describe: (1) pedagogy, professional, personality, and social competence of teachers in vocational high schools, and (2) the performance of teachers in vocational high schools. This descriptive study was conducted at four vocational high schools in North Morowali that have been nationally accredited. The respondents consisted of 23 principals, vice principals, heads of the study program, and 178 student. The data were collected using documentation and questionnaire. It were further analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) 66.76% of the teachers have the competence of the teacher's pedagogy with high category, 77.92% of the teachers have the professional competence with high category; 78.66% of the teachers have the personality competence with high category; 79.82% of the teachers have social competence with high category, (2) 75.35% of the teachers have the performance with high category.

A vocational school is an educational institution that focuses on providing students with practical skills and training for specific careers or professions. Unfortunately, the English lessons given to vocational schools still follow the same English as English in general high school which does not support their needs in their specific major resulted in gaps in English skill for vocational students. The gaps between secondary schools teaching English and vocational schools in terms of resources, curriculum, and even infrastructure. Examining the ESP of computer and network engineering in vocational high school was the aim of this study. As research tools for this study, a questionnaire about needs analysis, analysis of textbooks, and analysis of interviews were used. The findings indicated that in vocational schools, ESP teaching and learning based on the school program is needed by both students and teachers. The poor value of English language proficiency, particularly ESP in vocational schools, is due to a number of factors, including a lack of ESP for computer and network engineering starting from the content, such as textbooks, suitable school facilities, and even the competence of teachers to teach ESP.

This study was conducted to measure and analyze the effects of the School Characteristics, the Skill Competences, the Vocational School Image, and Parents’ Social Classes on the Students’ Preference in Selecting the Vocational Midle Schools in Palangka Raya. This study used a descriptive quantitative method. The population of this study was the Tenth Graders of Vocational Midle Schools Palangka Raya, specifically in the SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, SMK Negeri 2 Palangka Raya, and SMK Negeri 3 Palangka Raya. To determine the number of the samples, Slovin Formula was applied. Data collection methods were obtained by interviewing the entitled and authorized parties who provided the data, through questioners by giving and distributing the questioners to the respondents (acted as the samples) who answered those questions, and the Study of documentation by collecting and studying the data relating to this study. The data that verify the assumptions were analyzed with Descriptive Analysis, Factor Analysis, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The result of the Descriptive Analysis concluded that the variables such as the school characteristics, the vocational skills offered, the school image, and the social classes of the parents were the important factors in students’ preference to continue their study in the vocational high school in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. Thus, based on analyzing the confirmatory factors, each of question indicators of the variables was valid and reliable and indicators of each factor were accurate to measure those variables. The Multiple Regression Analysis indicates that based on the F-test, it was obtained that the school characteristics, the vocational skills offered, the school images, and the social classes of the parents affected simultaneously on the students’ preference in selecting the Vocational High School, and the value of the coefficient of determination shows that about 54.50% of the total variation of the students’ preference can be accounted for by the four variables. Moreover, the t-test result indicates partially that the variables of the school images and the vocational skills are significantly positive to influence the students’ preference in selecting the vocational school, which the variable of the school image is more dominant. However, the school characteristics and the parents social classes are not significantly affecting on the students’ preference to select the vocational school in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan.

<p>探討應用虛擬實境於技術型高中自閉症學生職業技能的可用性,以科技接受模式、認知負荷與認知焦慮理論為基礎,以知覺有用性、知覺易用性、認知負荷、認知焦慮與系統提示作為問卷構面,由自閉症學生體驗虛擬實境語音版與字幕版的切小黃瓜任務後填寫問卷,回收40份有效問卷,以Spearman等級相關係數檢驗知覺有用性、知覺易用性、認知負荷、認知焦慮與提示模式對行為意圖之關係。結果自閉症學生知覺有用性與職業技能行為意圖達正向關係,知覺有用性越高,使用VR學習職業技能的行為意圖越高;知覺易用性與職業技能行為意圖達正向關係,知覺易用性越高,使用虛擬實境學習職業技能的行為意圖越高;不同智力水準認知負荷達顯著差異,合併智能障礙的自閉症學生認知負荷與行為意圖無相關,未合併智能障礙的自閉症學生為負向關係;不同智力水準認知焦慮達顯著差異,合併智能障礙的自閉症學生認知焦慮與行為意圖無相關,未合併智能障礙的自閉症學生認知焦慮與行為意圖為負向,即認知焦慮越高,應用虛擬實境學習職業技能行為意圖越低;自閉症學生系統提示模式與行為意圖為正向,合併智能障礙的自閉症學生偏好語音旁白與字幕之提示模式,未合併智能障礙的自閉症學生偏好藍色閃爍與字幕的提示模式。</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><p>The usability of virtual reality (VR) for vocational students with autism spectrum dis-order (ASD) was uncommon. The purpose was to evaluate that these students adopt the theories of technology acceptance model, cognitive load, cognitive anxiety, and take per-ceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, cognitive load, cognitive anxiety and system prompts. Students with ASD took the task of cutting cucumber in the VR voice version and the VR subtitle version respectively and filled out the questionnaires. The results of the study showed that perceived usefulness of students with ASD has a positive relationship with be-havioral intention. The positive relationship between perceived ease of use and behavioral intention, the higher perceived ease of use, the higher behavioral intention of using VR. The cognitive load of different levels of intelligence had reached significant differences. There were significant differences in cognitive anxiety among different levels of intelligence. The cognitive anxiety of students with ASD with intellectual disability was not related to be-havioral intention. The system prompt mode of students with ASD had a positive relationship with behavioral intentions, but the system prompt modes of different intelligence levels were different. The students with ASD with intellectual disabilities preferred voice narration and caption description prompt modes, and the students with ASD without intellectual disabilities preferred blue flashing and caption description mode.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
