The Value of the Emotional Knowledge Emotional knowledge is a form of self-knowledge which holds great interest for ordinary individuals. It is not obtained by any obligation but rather because we think it is crucial to obtain (Cassam 2017). In this article it is a matter of demonstrating that emotional knowledge holds an instrumental and a prudential value. By arguing that it can allow a control over our emotions, I shall maintain that emotional knowledge affects individual marginalization or acceptance in society. In addition, this type of knowledge is revealing of our personality by allowing us to identify our affective identities. Finally, I shall defend the idea that emotional knowledge contributes to the conduct of a good life. As such, my hypothesis could be viewed as incompatible with widespread ideas (Montaigne 2019), according to which the knowledge of our own emotions can trigger negative emotional states, e.g. mental rumination, anxiety, that do not contribute to our well-being.

Purpose: This study examined the relationship between child value and happiness among parents of infants and toddlers in the 6th and 7th waves of the Korean Child Panel Survey. Method: We conducted an analysis of self and other interdependence model(APIM) to test the self-effect and partner-effect of parents of infants and toddlers. Results: The results of the self-effect and partner-effect tests of mothers' and fathers' perceived parental child value on happiness showed that mothers' and fathers' perceived child value had a significant positive effect on their own happiness. In addition, the interaction effect of mothers' and fathers' perceived child value on happiness was significant only for the negative effect of fathers' perceived child value on mothers' happiness. We also found significant differences in the self-effect and partner-effect of parental values on happiness, with mothers' happiness being influenced more by their own parental values than by their fathers' parental values. Conclusion: The significance of this study is that it verified the effect of parents' child value on their own happiness, which has been lacking in the literature. Therefore, this study provides implications for the establishment of government childcare policies to improve the happiness of parents of infants and toddlers and for parent education in early childhood education institutions, and provides a basis for future research and programs to improve the happiness of parents of infants and toddlers.

Summary British linguistic thought in the first half of the 20th century reacted against the Saussurean oppositions signifiant/signifié, langue/parole, and signification/valeur. Ogden & Richards (1923) reject them on epistemological, orthological, and terminological grounds. For Bronislaw Malinowski meaning in a pre-literate language cannot be described by the dyadic sign. Alan H. Gardiner too rejects this concept of the sign, but he modifies langue/parole and synchronie/diachronie to make them complementary. J. R. Firth rejects most of the Saussurean canon, but the starting point of his own line of analysis proves to be indistinguishable from the same brand of functionalism. The connection between the British linguistic tradition and Saussure therefore displays a full range of positions from incompatibility to unwilling and unwitting compatibility.

Abstract ‘We have twelve professions’, say the Serer Niominka of the Sine-Saloum Delta, Senegal. This article traces how they have embraced two short-lived opportunities: to glean sea snails from the bycatch of industrial trawlers and to salvage fish for a fish factory. Salvaging for is about relating oneself and one's environment to capitalist value chains and feeding into them, allowing for ‘salvage accumulation’. Gleaning from, I argue, points in the opposite direction. It is about performing the marginality of remainders of capitalist value chains while redescribing their value for one's own profit. As such, gleaning can be a ‘minor tactic’ that allows one to create niches intertwined with capitalist processes and mobilise them to one's own ends. For the Serer Niominka, this article shows, both gleaning and salvaging have represented ways of exploring and valorising capitalist-induced volatilities as opportunities from ‘below’ and integrating them into their rhythmic meshwork of practice. Résumé « Nous avons douze professions » déclarent les Serer Niominka du delta Sine-Saloun au Sénégal. Cet article documente deux pratiques opportunes des habitants du Delta qui n'ont pas duré: le glanage des escargots de mer péchés accidentellement par les chalutiers industriels et le sauvetage les poissons pour les pêcheries. Sauver pour est une manière de se relier avec son environnement à la chaîne de valeur capitaliste et de s'en nourrir en permettant « l'accumulation de récupération ». Glaner de, comme je le défends ici, pointe plutôt dans la direction opposée. Il s'agit de tirer profit des restes marginaux du capitalisme en en redécrivant la valeur à son profit. Comme tel, le glanage est une tactique mineure qui permet à certains de créer des niches au sein des processus capitalistes et de mobiliser ceux-ci à ses fins propres. L'article montre que pour les Serer Niominka glaner et sauver représentent des manières d'explorer et de valoriser les volatilités induites par le capitalisme comme des opportunités « d'en-bas » et de les intégrer dans leur propre ensemble rythmé de pratiques.

Purpose: This study presents the direction for the development of the cosmetics industry and the revitalization of the customized cosmetics industry. By using natural raw materials that are harmless to the human body as raw materials for customized cosmetics, It was conducted with the aim of raising positive awareness among consumers and inducing purchases. Customized cosmetics can contribute to solving the problem of the unemployed as small-scale start-ups are possible, Since only those with professional qualifications can manufacture customized cosmetics, We want to research how we can fulfill consumers' desire for safety and their desire to own cosmetics that are right for their skin. Method: A total of 306 questionnaires were administered to men and women in their 20s and 60s who had experience in purchasing cosmetics living in Korea, and a frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and reliability analysis using Cronbach's alpha coefficient were conducted using SPSS 25.0 program as the analysis data, and an independent sample t test was conducted to test the hypotheses. We also conducted correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and mediation analysis using SPSS process macros to verify mediation effects. Results: First, it can be said that the higher the Awareness of selective attributes and Reliability of selective attributes of customized cosmetics, the higher the Purchase intention. Second, emphasizing the use of natural ingredients in the formulation of customized cosmetics will further enhance purchase intent. Third, since the awareness of customized cosmetics is high enough, supporting it in various ways will not only expand the market, but also allow customers to purchase customized cosmetics with confidence. Fourth, it means that the trust in the customized cosmetics formulation manager who received professional education the state had a positive effect on the choice of customized cosmetics. Conclusion: Using natural raw materials for customized cosmetics can contribute to solving international environmental problems, For the first time in the world, only those with professional qualifications can prepare customized cosmetics. It will be able to satisfy consumers' desire to own cosmetics that are safe and suitable for their skin. Therefore, in a situation where customized cosmetics are attracting worldwide attention, this study aims to increase consumers' positive awareness and help skin health by using harmless natural raw materials as raw materials for customized cosmetics. It will be able to suggest a direction as a new growth engine for K-beauty, Even as an international subject, it is considered to have original value.

Even as Prof. Tedeschi sits before us in his valour – for so our sages have designated the age of four-score – I am well aware that he has no desire for eulogies and that he is a man who shuns honours. Indeed, only the entreaties of his students and friends moved him – with great difficulty – to participate in this festive meeting of the Academy of Sciences and Humanities. His valour is in his humility. This is the man and such has always been his chosen path. As I know him and respect him – and, I admit without shame, also love him – I shall, in deference to him, conduct myself in strictest accordance with the dictate of the sages and shall sing but the smallest part of his praises. Nevertheless, we owe it to ourselves to give an accounting of the work of this great jurist from whose well we have quaffed and who, as a rising spring, is as prolific today as in his youth.

Abstract.Until very recently, the “orthodox” liberal view had assumed that the right to the profession and practice of one's own religious values encompassed the right to instil particular religious values in one's children. This view has been challenged by sustained analysis of the role of children within liberal theory, given the basic tenet of the equal moral worth of persons. This strand of liberal thought questions the extent to which parental rights to direct children's upbringing can include a right to form children's basic value sets. With this challenge comes a stronger basis from which to also challenge the idea that parents may legitimately oppose certain aspects of the state-mandated curriculum on the basis that such education may impinge on the values they wish to instil in their children. This paper will examine the controversy surrounding Québec's “Ethics and Religious Culture” course within a framework that seeks to put the interest of children first, as well as how the religious rights of parents and children might be understood in this context.Résumé.Naguère, l'opinion libérale voulait que le droit à la pratique et à la profession de sa propre religion et de ses valeurs comprît le droit d'inculquer ces valeurs religieuses à ses enfants. Depuis un certain temps, cette position est remise en question à la lumière d'une analyse soutenue des droits de l'enfant, vu la primauté du tenant de l'égalité morale de tous les individus dans la pensée libérale contemporaine. Selon cette analyse, il n'est pas acquis que le droit du parent de voir à la formation de l'enfant comprenne le droit de lui imposer des valeurs de base particulières. Cette remise en question donne lieu à une réévaluation plus concrète du droit des parents de s'opposer à certains aspects du programme d'études établi par le gouvernement sous prétexte que ceux-ci nuiraient à leur droit d'inculquer des valeurs particulières à leurs enfants. La controverse au sujet du cours d'éthique et de culture religieuse au Québec est revue dans un contexte qui place en priorité le droit de l'enfant. Il est question du rapport entre les droits des parents et ceux des enfants concernant la religion et l'éducation religieuse.

AbstractThe Valour and the Horroris a series of three documentary films describing Canadian participation during the Second World War which were aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in 1992. The series aggressively challenged “official” war history, arguing that while ordinary soldiers served with dignity and bravery, the incompetence and immorality of senior British and Canadian commanders produced terrible blunders and losses and grotesque assaults against civilian populations in Germany. This article analyzes the controversy that surrounded the series, a controversy that mushroomed into a political struggle over who had the right to control “memory” and who had the right to produce and interpret “reality.” The struggle produced a Senate subcommittee investigation, placed the CBC under intense pressure and scrutiny and evoked strong reactions from veterans' groups and the journalistic and artistic communities. Three frameworks are used to assess the forces that contend against each other in media production: the hegemonic view (that the media celebrate and reinforce the dominant interests in society); the organizational or institutional perspective (that media organizations pursue their own interests even if these interests do not necessarily coincide with those of other dominant groups in society); and the journalist-centred framework (that journalists as professionals exercise considerable discretion over their own work). The article suggests that each of these perspectives can provide valuable insights, but that each by itself fails to provide a satisfactory explanation for the events. By utilizing multiple perspectives for the analysis, a wider range of questions is addressed.

Purpose: Unlike in the past, the modern women have destroyed the frame of stereotypes that women must be feminine and men must be masculine through their own arguments and active actions. This has resulted in changes in the women’s self-esteem as their independent tendencies have strengthened due to changes in ste-reotypes about their roles and the women's advancement into society. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of self-esteem and gender sensitivity on the appearance recognition behavior of women in their 20s. Method: The questionnaire items for scale development of the study were used for the women in their 20s for empirical research. The composition of the questionnaire consisted of self-esteem, gender sensitivity, appearance recognition behavior, and demographic variables. A stepwise multiple regression analysis was conducted to in-vestigate the relationship between demographic variables, self-esteem, gender sensitivity, and appearance recognition behavior. Results: First, as a result of analyzing the effect of self-esteem on gender sensitivity, it turned out that positive self-esteem had a positively significant effect on gender sensitivity, and negative self-esteem had a negatively significant effect on gender sensitivity. Second, as a result of analyzing the effect of gender sensitivity on the appearance stereotypes, it turned out that gender positive attitude had a positively significant effect on the appearance stereotypes, and gender sen-sitivity also had a positively significant effect on the appearance stereotypes. Third, it turned out that gender sensitivity has a mediating effect when the positive self-esteem affects ap-pearance evaluation and respect for appearance, and the negative self-esteem affects appearance evaluation and appearance stereotypes. Conclusion: It is considered that the research on the direction of the beauty industry and between the classes that become direct consumers must be conducted in various ways because the gender sensitivity that women have as a human being can bring about changes in appearance recognition behavior, thereby breaking away from stereotypes about gender. It is hoped that this study will help understand the gender sensitivity of women in their 20s and contribute to the development of the beauty industry.

René Girard’s Mimetic Theory has put forward a very compelling toolbox whose hermeneutical valour we are willing to test by reading Heidegger’s ontological wandering in the semantic constellation of Being. Finding a lead in Heidegger’s reading of Œdipus’ peripeties as presented in Sophocles’ Œdipus Rex, we will try to translate the fundamental notions of Heidegger’s critique of metaphysics into Girard’s jargon to see if any clarity is gained. It is time to go after Heidegger, both as in following him in his own wandering but also as in chasing him, out of his Holzwege, and eventually go further. Hopefully, some of the obscurities of Heidegger’s text will find in this perspective a new light, without losing any of its fascination.

AbstractThe medical texts in the Genizah have been analyzed mainly as part of other subjects, like the various professional classes within the Jewish community in Old Cairo. Until now few have studied these documents in their own right, despite the fact that they offer valuable insights into the medieval economy of the Eastern Mediterranean and beyond. Focussing on saffron and myrobalan, this article offers a tentative investigation of the significance of medical drugs for the study of Mediterranean trade in the Middle Ages on the basis of practical medical fragments found mainly at the Taylor-Schechter collection in Cambridge. L'exploitation des textes médicaux de la Geniza a surtout servi aux sujets tels que les divers groupes professionnels de la communauté juive du vieux Caire. Jusqu'à présent de rares chercheurs ont étudiés ces manuscrits pour leur valeur intrinsèque. Pourtant, leur lecture permet d'approcher d'autres aspects de l'économie médiévale de la Méditerranée orientale et au-delà. Cette contribution, qui traite des drogues médicales, particulièrement le safran et le myrobalan, propose une première recherche sur l'importance des drogues médicales dans l'étude du commerce méditerranéen au Moyen-Âge. Elle est fondée sur les manuscrits incomplets traitant des pratiques médicales conservés principalement dans la collection Taylor-Schechter à Cambridge.

Many martial arts systems have their own revered heroes, such as mythical founders and leaders of notable schools. The paper draws on ethnographic research conducted on The Blade Academy, an expanding historical European martial arts (HEMA) school in the United Kingdom. Among pedagogic strategies used by the lead instructors and their core followers are narratives about historic figures whose heroic beliefs and deeds should be respected and even emulated by practitioners. This article explores the case study of 12-13th century Norman-English knight William Marshal, who is used as a principal model for leadership, martial valour, economic success and moral activity by the lead instructor. We examine idealised models of chivalry that such modern martial artists aspire to follow despite them living within very different societies and value systems. We conclude by considering the merits of revisiting historical figures who might act as role models for modern teachers and their students.

The paper examines the concept of individual and collective value identities based an emotionalist understanding of values. The main perspective it discusses is one where emotions are the most important practical instruments for the clarification of individual and collective values. The argument implies that moral emotions are not irrational, but have a logic of their own which can reliably pinpoint the persons’ value system; emotions are thus crucial building blocks of an ethics which is able to enhance personal and moral identity. This particular ecology of moral emotions is pivotal in crisis periods, such as the global pandemics, wars or system crashes, either economic, or political, security, diplomatic or cultural. In the current circumstances, where the already shaken individual and collective values throughout the world have been shaken by the Covid 19 pandemic, understanding identities as fundamentally couched in moral emotions may be critical to saving our cultures and our legacies of social and moral capital.

El siguiente análisis explora las maneras en que diferentes tipos y niveles de estructuras interactúan formando tanto la narración como la construcción del significado en la historia de Chopin. La estructura de la historia anuncia la acción literal de la construcción en el núcleo del argumento, establece parámetros para el proceso cognitivo de la historia y compara la estratégica apropiación de las dos estructuras que hace el sujeto de la enunciación de la historia principal, para contar y hacer valer su historia a su manera. The following analysis explores the ways in which different types and levels of frames interact in structuring both the narration and the construction of meaning(s) in Chopin's story. The frame story foreshadows the literal action of framing at the crux of the plot, establishes parameters for cognitive processing of the story, and parallels the strategic appropriation of both frames by the subject of the enunciation of the main story for both telling and validating her story in her own way.

Women comprise the majority of students in adult education, but the experiences of women continue to be marginalized and devalued in the academic sphere. This article provides an exploration of the current critical analysis of the marketplace influence on adult education, and a comparative feminist analysis with a critical perspective. I argue for the development of a critical feminist approach to adult education that acknowledges the importance of women's life experiences and connections to the homeplace. Various research studies are correlated with my own experience to provide an alternative value set from which to challenge existing marketplace influences within academia, and redefine the way society assesses "what counts" as important work and learning experiences. The critical discourse I advocate supports the work that women do in the homeplace, as students and as academics; the process can lead to a more holistic and inclusive approach to adult education. Résumé Bien que les femmes représentent la majeure partie de l'effectif étudiant dans les programmes de formation pour adultes, leurs expériences continuent à être marginalisées et dévalorisées dans les milieux universitaires. Cet article explore l'analyse critique actuelle portant sur l'influence du marché dans le domaine de la formation pour adultes et offre une analyse féministe comparative fondée sur une perspective critique. J'y prône le développement d'une approche féministe critique en matière de formation pour adultes, qui tienne compte de l'importance des expériences vécues par les femmes et des liens qu'elles entretiennent avec la maison. L'article présente diverses études qui corroborent mon expérience et mettent de l'avant un nouvel ensemble de valeurs. Ces valeurs contribuent à remettre en question l'influence du marché dans les milieux universitaires et à redéfinir la manière par laquelle on évalue 'ce qui compte' vraiment sur les plans du travail et des expériences d'apprentissage. Par ce discours critique, j'entends appuyer le travail que font les femmes à la maison, en tant qu'étudiantes et en tant que chercheurs; ce processus est susceptible de mener à une approche en matière de formation pour adultes qui soil plus globale et respectueuse des différences.

Self-esteem, individual accomplishment, instant response to social difficulties, and the rejection of alienating uniformity are some of the ideals that the hypermodern era claims as its own. Under that order of expansionist and excessive renewal, various fields of knowledge undergo an extraordinary mutation. The novels whose analysis falls to the current study appropriate that new order and enrich it in their own way by textualizing human societies or creating others from scratch in which voice is given to active female characters, who successfully disregard the old norms by inventing others, which trace the furrows of a paritary or egalitarian relationship, and which contributes, at the same time, to their economic independence and socio-cultural advancement. For example, Paule Marshall and Léonora’s imaginations are a crucible of extratextual and original values anchored in a plural leadership whose prevailing and common trend remains feminist. Considering the characteristics of that tendency, a number of convergent and divergent points whose aesthetic scope seems to have not hitherto been much studied, emerge. For this purpose, it is essential to elucidate it from a comparative perspective. But, to achieve this, it is appropriate to use the operational properties of hypermodernity in order to examine two "points-valeurs", inter alia, the construction of hypermodern characters’ identity, the reversals of hypermodernity and its "effet-idéologie".

This paper is intended to cover some major issues in the sphere of non-formal education in Russia and its validation. The ratio of “formal” and “non-formal learning” is the main aspect of solving the problems of the advanced development of public education systems. It is illuminated that the official education systems are slowly adjusting to socio-economic development, their own conservatism as well as the inertia of societies contributes to this fact. Modern society has already had the opportunity to make sure that non-formal education is stronger, as the formal education system is not able to reverse the result of non-formal human socialization. The aim of this paper is to present the relevance of this topic for Russia, as the creation of efficient model of non-formal validation will meet the needs of people of different ages, especially adults, to implement the so-called lifelong learning in life. The paper reviews international leading literature in this subject focusing on its practical application and including the results of Russian participation in international VALERU project.

Motherhood is imposed upon women by the society convincing her to believe in its valour but during the whole process of motherhood, the challenges of mothering are never counted Mothering. Motherhood is an institution defined by hegemonic groups to exert power on women. Motherhood, a monolithic term, emphasizes on the process of socialization of the future generation only by mother. During this process her own subjectivity and personal experiences are ignored and she is degraded to mere an object for catering the needs of her children. Her identity is not what she asserts but her identity is perceived as a mother. Buchi Emecheta, an eminent womanist writer has raised the issue of challenging motherhood in her novel Second Class Citizen. My article aims to analyze the novel on the grounds of conceptualized motherhood and its impact on the self-identity of the protagonist who single handedly raises her children.

Batik is part of a culture that has long developed and known by the people of Indonesia and the world. However, the knowledge is only on the name of batik, not at a more detailed level, such as image characteristic and batik motifs. Batik motif is very diverse, different areas have their own motifs and patterns related to local customs and values. Therefore, it is important to introduce knowledge about batik motifs and patterns effectively and efficiently. So, we build CBIR batik using Micro-Structure Descriptor (MSD) method on Android platform. The data used consisted of 300 images with 50 classes with each class consists of six images. Performance test is held in three scenarios, which the data is divided as test data and data train, with the ratio of scenario 1 is 50%: 50%, scenario 2 is 70%, 30%, and scenario 3 is 80%: 20%. The best results are generated by scenario 3 with precision valur 65.67% and recall value 65.80%, which indicates that the use of MSD on the android platform for CBIR batik performs well.

AbstractThe objective of this paper is to draw on archaeological data from Bengal to address issues relating to the social and cultural milieu of trade from the 5th-4th centuries BC to the 6th-7th centuries AD. Trading activity by its very nature was mobile, cut across political frontiers and as a result created its own networks of communication and information transfer. Within this extensive trading system, diverse communities in Bengal developed distinctive cultural identities as they interacted with their unique environment as well as with the larger Indic cultural sphere. This cultural identity included religious affiliation and it is important to highlight the vibrancy and dynamism of these cultural identities from the prehistoric period to the 8th-9th centuries AD. L'objectif de cet article est de partir des données archéologiques du Bengale pour en extraire les problématiques en relation avec le milieu social et culturel du monde commercial du 5eme-4eme s. av. J.-C. au 6eme-7eme s. de notre ère. L'activité commerciale fut, par sa nature même, mobile, au-delà des frontières politiques et créa en conséquence ses propres réseaux de communication et de transfert de l'information. Dans le cadre de ce système de commerce extensif, diverses communautés au Bengale ont développé des identités culturelles spécifiques en établissant des relations aussi bien avec leur propre environnement qu'avec la sphère culturelle indienne plus générale. The material consequences of the US-led “war on terror” in Pakistan are always counted in statistical terms, that is, the number of casualties in drone strikes or suicide bombings. Little attention, however, is paid to the local public imagination to know how the ordinary people consume this everyday destruction and what kind of cultural production it ensures that shapes and inspires their imagination. In this study, therefore, we discuss the way systemic violence and cultural expression reinforce each other and how such an uneasy configuration depicts the pain and injury of people affected by this global war. We examine a purposive sample of Pashto tapey--anonymous couplets attributed to Pashtun women and conventionally reflecting war, valour, grief, longing, and love--to gain an insight into how this folk literature engages militarized violence, embraces the political and ideological challenges of the war, and reveals the hidden power contestation between actual militarization and symbolic representation. A close reading of these tapey depicts that Pashtun life is not only subjected to a rule of death, what Mbembe calls, “necropolitics” but these tapey create its own necrospace in local enunciative and cultural practices, thus reinforcing militarised violence in a cultural sphere.

The results of research on the value production of the stands of poplar clones Robusta and I-214 carried out in Slovakia are presented. Models of value yield tables were constructed separately for each clone. The models simulate gross and net financial yield of wood production in dependence on the site index and age of stand. They were constructed on the basis of the models of assortment yield tables, timber prices according to assortments and the models of own costs of timber felling and processing. The clone I-214 produces a faster and higher proportion of thicker assortments of average and below-average quality, and therefore it has the higher value production at a younger age only. Robusta produces smaller diameter but higher quality assortments and has the higher value production only at an older age. The site index of the stand is the most important factor in the value production of poplar clones. Differences in the production between site indexes are much greater than between the clones.

In December 1793, after the end of the siege of Toulon, which had been in the hands of the British and their allies for three months, a national holiday was declared throughout the French Republic. By that time, such holidays had been completely formed and become systematic as well as acquired their own symbols. Among the essential components were a crowd of spectators, a procession, dancing, music with songs, and a banquet. Since the victory won in Toulon was long-awaited, the events on this occasion had to be grandiose. The author studies the revolutionary festival and highlights its general and special features typical of the regions. Each department celebrated the holiday in its own way: some seized an opportunity to promote the Worship of Reason and de-Christianization, others praised the goddess of victory and the brave soldiers, still others turned it into a kind of a Catholic procession. Further, the article analyses the extensive festival programme in Paris, which was developed by artist Jacques-Louis David and playwright Marie-Joseph Chénier. In some places, however, the processions were spontaneous. Of interest are the “reconstructions” of the battles in Toulon, which were undertaken at some festivals, at which mannequins depicting kings and statesmen of the allies were also burnt. In addition, the author demonstrates how the creative community reacted to the retaking of Toulon: poems and hymns were written all over the country, plays and performances were staged, exposing the tyranny and meanness of the British, as well as the cowardice of the Toulonnais that had surrendered the city, and praising the valour of the Republican soldiers.

The evolution of CSR is largely the history of reconciling economic goals of business and social goals of society. Relatively recent CSR related concepts “creating shared value” (CSV) and “integrated value creation” (IVC) aim at aligning interests of business and society by producing economic and social value simultaneously. The purpose of this article is to compare the CSV and IVC concepts and show their relation to CSR. In particular, we discuss whether CSV and IVC can be regarded as substitutes for CSR, varieties of CSR or completely new paradigms, and come to the conclusion that the positioning of both concepts depends on how broadly CSR is defined. We summarize major criticisms of the CSV concept and provide our own vision of the strengths and limitations of both concepts, showing why at least the CSV concept cannot supplant CSR. Comparing CSV and IVC, we focus on the differences between them and show that IVC represents a more fundamental shift in business philosophy and aims at a deeper and system-wide rather than local and fragmentary integration within society. We maintain that the CSV and IVC ideas can and should be used in strategic planning as inspiration for innovative thinking, as guidelines for increasing business competitiveness and societal well-being. We also point out the need for refining methodological frameworks for the practical implementation of the CSV and IVC ideas.

Dans le cadre de la dynamisation du marché financier des pays en voie de développement et le passage de l’économie d’endettement à la finance directe. La cotation de nouvelles sociétés en bourse contribue à l’accroissement de la capitalisation, révèle la transparence des entreprises, renforce leurs fonds propres et permet le financement direct des firmes. L’ouverture du capital au public par un ou plusieurs actionnaires augmente la part de financement de l’économie par le marché financier, permet de profiter des avantages de la cotation en bourse et leur offre une opportunité d’une plus value sur actions nette d’impôts (En Tunisie la plus value sur actions dégagée par les personnes physiques lors de la première cotation n’est pas imposable. Elle doit être seulement déclarée). L’appétit d’accroitre la plus value sur actions peut l’emporter sur les avantages intrinsèques de la cotation. Une surévaluation de l’action peut être constatée et peut nuire à l’avenir de l’action sur le parquet. L’objectif de l’article est de saisir une éventuelle surévaluation de l’action lors d’une introduction en bourse d’une société de droit tunisien, détenue en majorité par des personnes physiques de la même famille. Ces derniers ont cédé 10% du capita, à travers une offre publique de vente (OPV). Notre méthodologie consiste à se référer aux modèles d’évaluation théoriques des actions pour les confronter aux modèles utilisés au niveau du prospectus d’admission en bourse. Partant des mêmes hypothèses avancées par les actionnaires de la société, nous allons réévaluer l’action, tester l’éventuelle surévaluation et son impact sur la pérennité de l’action sur le parquet de la bourse des valeurs mobilières de Tunis (BVMT). L’introduction en bourse vise la recherche d’un financement direct pour le renforcement des fonds propres de la société, la bonne image de l’entreprise et le désengagement de l’un ou de plusieurs actionnaires du capital social. La vente de titres de participation par les anciens actionnaires doit se faire tout en prenant en considération les intérêts antagonistes de tous les intervenants et fixant la juste valeur d’introduction, afin de réaliser un équilibre gagnants/gagnants. Une déviation par rapport à l’équilibre peut nuire à l’opération d’introduction, tout en induisant les novices de la bourse en erreur et éventuellement se retirer de la cote officielle. A ce titre, l’encaissement d’une importante plus-value de cession, peut nuire à la pérennité de l’action sur le parquet de la bourse pour un initiateur de l’offre publique de vente. Les résultats obtenus ont montré que l’actionnaire privé, notamment l’initiateur de l’introduction à la bourse des valeurs mobilières de Tunis cherche son propre intérêt en termes de maximisation du produit de cession, indépendamment des nouveaux entrants et de la continuation de la cotation. L’opération d’introduction en bourse a échoué à moyen terme et s’est terminée par une offre publique de retrait (OPR). The listing of new companies on the stock exchange contributes to the increase of capitalization, reveals the transparency of companies, strengthens their equity and allows the direct financing of firms. The opening of the capital to the public by one or more shareholders increases the share of financing of the economy by the financial market, allows them to take advantage of the advantages of stock exchange listing and offers them an opportunity for a net capital gain on shares. Taxes (In Tunisia the capital gain on shares generated by natural persons during the first listing is not taxable. It must only be declared). The appetite to increase the capital gain on equities can outweigh the intrinsic advantages of listing. An overvaluation of the action can be noticed and can harm the future of the action on the trading floor. The objective of the article is to capture a possible overvaluation of the action during an initial public offering of a company under Tunisian law, majority owned by natural persons of the same family. The latter sold 10% of the capital, through a public offer of sale (OPV). Our methodology consists in referring to the theoretical valuation models of the shares to compare them with the models used at the level of the prospectus for admission to the stock exchange. Based on the same assumptions put forward by the shareholders of the company, we will revalue the action, test the possible overvaluation and its impact on the sustainability of the action on the floor of the Tunis Stock Exchange (BVMT). The IPO aims to seek direct financing to strengthen the company's equity, the good image of the company and the disengagement of one or more shareholders from the share capital. The sale of equity securities by former shareholders must be done while taking into consideration the antagonistic interests of all stakeholders and setting the fair value of introduction, in order to achieve a win/win balance. A deviation from equilibrium can harm the IPO trade, while misleading the exchange novices and possibly withdrawing from the official listing. As such, the receipt of a significant capital gain from the sale can harm the sustainability of the action on the stock market floor for an initiator of the public offering. The results obtained showed that the private shareholder, in particular the initiator of the introduction to the Tunis Stock Exchange seeks its own interest in terms of maximizing the sale proceeds, independently of new entrants and the continuation of listing. The IPO operation failed in the medium term and ended with a public withdrawal offer (OPR).

The article develops and analyzes a method of the comprehensive evaluation of the quality of natural gas as an energy source. The method is based on establishing the calorific value of natural gas as a determinative index of its quality, taking into account all gas properties: both those that positively affect the gas calorific value and its energy content, and those that adversely affect. The generalized definition of natural gas quality as the degree to which the set of the own gas characteristics (component composition and physical properties) meet the requirements concerning energy content, safety, ecology, and other factors is given. The results of experimental researches on natural gas quality according to the developed procedure are also presented.

English The temptation to seek in primates our own origin is still found in ethology. More broadly speaking, we see that the animal kingdom is often used as an anthropological operator of identity, using either similitude or inversion or contrast. The observation data most often reflect values, or even preferences, concerning modes of social organization. However, this observation should not lead to relativism. On the contrary, it invites us to envisage ethological knowledge as constructing humans and animals at the same time, together. This article sets out to explore the concrete conditions in which this kind of knowledge can be constructed. French La tentation d'interroger les primates en leur posant la question de notre origine reste présente dans le domaine de l'éthologie. Plus largement, on peut remarquer que l'animal se constitue souvent comme un opérateur anthropologique d'identité, soit par similitude, soit par inversion ou contraste. Or, les faits issus des observations traduisent le plus souvent des valeurs, voire reflètent des préférences quant aux modes d'organisation sociale. Ce constat ne doit pas nous conduire au relativisme. Il nous invite au contraire à envisager le savoir de l'éthologie comme un savoir qui construit simultanément l'identité de l'homme et de l'animal, ensemble. Cet article se propose d'explorer les conditions concrètes dans lesquelles ce type de savoir peut se constituer.

The aim of the research was to assess using biodegradable screws in treatment of hallux valgus. We managed 40female patients (average age 50±2.51) with hallux valgus who where admitted to the orthopedic unit of Irkutsk Scientific Center of Surgery and Traumatology for operative treatment.All patients had X-ray, MRI and intraoperational examination of affected foot before the surgery and in postoperative period. All patients were operated using own surgical technique.Patients were divided into two groups: group1 (22patients) – osteosynthesis using biodegradable (PLGA) screws; group2 (18patients) – osteosynthesis using metal cannulated screws.In group1 postoperative values of M1P1 angle were within normal range (9.67±0.78°). According to MRI, proximal articular set angle (PASA) was corrected from 21.5±0.35 to 4.17±0.09°. 6patients of the group1 were complaining of pain and discomfort in the area of screw-head contacting soft tissues. The result of operative treatment in the group2 resulted in the correction of M1P1 angle from 34±1.63 to 7.67±0.75°. After the surgery intraoperative PASA was back to the normal range (4.33±0.34°).The comparison of the results of treatment of patients of groups1 and 2 didn’t reveal any statistically significant dif-ferences in the values of М1Р1, М1М2, М1М5 angles and PASA.The advantage of using biodegradable screws, compared to the metal ones, in the treatment of hallux valgus is the possibility of postoperative MRI of the foot with calculation of PASA to evaluate treatment results. The disadvantage of using biodegradable screws is engineering deficiency preventing screw-head from dipping into bone tissue and causing soft tissue traumatizing. Biodegradable and metal screws allow to obtain similar results of hallux valgus treatment.

The story entailed in Ọmọ Olókùn Ẹṣin (The Freedom Fight) is straightforward. Àjàyí, the titular hero, starts off with the direct first-person narrative. The story starts off straight from the horse’s mouth, setting the stage for all other active agents to render their own sides of the events, to which everyone else is not privy. Here is the snippet of the novel directly from the author’s blurb: Àjàyí, son of Council Chief Olókùn Ẹṣin of Àgùn, seeks independence on behalf of his Òkè Ògùn kinsmen, independence from the oppressive Òkò, one of the principal regions of Yorùbáland. To this end he and his many friends – among them Àyọwí from Igboho, and Ibiwumi, the Otu Baale’s ̀ daughter – who help him narrate this story, suffered untold hardships. In the beginning, the very countrymen he sought to liberate were opposed to the talk of independence because no one could really grasp the idea. However, in the end, Àjàyí prevailed. Where shall we begin this tale? Which among the story’s many episodes should one emphasize – is it Kọ́lájọ’s demonic rampage, or Ibiwumi’s calculated risk, or Lagbogun’s greed and flagrant abuse of power and privilege? Incidents abound – highlights herein include the riot in Baba-Ode Townships; the fight at Idi Araba; the bizarre encounter in the market 200 Michael Oladejo Afolayan center at Igboho; even the scuffle outside Baale of Ìgbẹtì’s compound; and, ́ of course, many more of Àjàyí’s numerous acts of valour and defiance.

ABSTRACT: Our article tries to show, in Niyongoma's novel, that widowhood has its own modalities of writing. Thus, this situation is experienced and apprehended differently depending on the customs and traditions of the societies taken as reference. Consequently, a writer who grew up in a phallocratic society will not treat the theme of "widowhood" in the same way as one who grew up in an egalitarian society. From this fact, it follows that the way in which a society represents genres influences the modalities of writing. In our analysis, alongside sociocriticism, we will also use Burundian cultural knowledge and values to explain the strategies of discourse in order to highlight the poetics of the obsession with widowhood. RÉSUMÉ : Notre article essaie de montrer, dans le roman de Niyongoma, que le veuvage possède ses propres modalités d’écriture. Ainsi, cette situation est vécue et appréhendée différemment en fonction des coutumes et traditions des sociétés prises pour référence. En conséquence, un écrivain qui a grandi dans une société phallocratique ne traitera pas de la même manière le thème du « veuvage » que celui qui a grandi dans une société égalitaire. De ce fait, il s’ensuit que la manière dont une société se représente les genres influence les modalités d’écriture. Dans notre analyse, à côté de la sociocritique, nous aurons également recours aux savoirs et valeurs culturels burundais pour expliquer les stratégies de mise en discours en vue de mettre en évidence la poétique de l’obsession du veuvage.

Une reliure sert avant tout à protéger l’ouvrage qu’elle recouvre. Elle doit aussi être considérée comme un élément autonome qui a son esthétique, ses techniques et son histoire propres. Cet article présentera d’abord, de manière générale, les reliures des neuf livres d’Heures manuscrits conservés à McGill, dont certaines sont d’origine et d’autres furent restaurées entre le XVIIe et la fin du XXe siècle. En second lieu, la remarquable reliure originale du manuscrit McGill, MS 101 sera décrite en détail. Cette reliure est la plus représentative du corpus au pour son vocabulaire stylistique de la reliure de la deuxième moitié du XVe siècle avec ses ais, ses fermoirs en laiton torsadé et son cuir décoré à froid de fers dit monastiques. L’analyse codicologique de ces livres d’Heures contribue à l’archéologie du livre médiéval et s’inscrit dans une perspective de mise en valeur de la reliure ancienne en Occident entreprise par de grandes bibliothèques européennes. A book’s binding, above all else, serves to protect the work inside. It must also be considered as an autonomous element that has its own aesthetic, techniques, and history. This article will present, in a general way, the bindings of nine Books of Hours preserved at McGill, some of which are original and others that were restored between the seventeenth century and the end of the twentieth. Secondly, the remarkable original binding of manuscript McGill, MS 101 will be described in detail. This binding is the most representative of the corpus when considering the stylistic vocabulary of book bindings during the second half of the fifteenth century with its panels, braided brass fasteners, and leather which was decorated freehand with a monastic design. The codicological analysis of these Books of Hours contributes to the archeology of the medieval book and follows a perspective of the development of ancient book binding in the West undertaken by great European libraries.

Containing many reports of his own illnesses and attempts at treatment, along with inquiries after the health of correspondents and acquaintances, the letters of Wang Xizhi (303-361) constitute the earliest sizeable corpus of personal health reports in Chinese literature and are thus a valuable source for the study of Chinese epistolary communication and medical history. This article explores the rhetorical strategies of Wang’s medical narratives and the role that writing about illness and healing may have played in the correspondents’ relationships and broader networks. Examining the medical ideas and terminology evident in Wang Xizhi’s letters, the article also seeks to illuminate a section of the multifaceted world of early medieval Chinese healing practices. By allowing us to get closer to the calligrapher’s body, Wang’s illness narratives further help us to heighten our awareness of the circumstances that shape the artistic process. Les lettres de Wang Xizhi (303-361) contiennent de nombreuses informations sur ses propres problèmes médicaux et sur ses façons de se traiter, ainsi que des questions adressées aux destinataires quant à leur santé et celle de leurs connaissances communes. Elles constituent ainsi le plus ancien corpus de taille conséquente au sein de la littérature chinoise traitant de l’histoire médicale d’individus ; elles ont donc une valeur importante comme source tant pour l’histoire épistolaire que médicale. Cet article explore les stratégies rhétoriques dans les récits qu’offre Wang au sujet de la santé, ainsi que le rôle que ses écrits sur les maladies et les guérisons ont pu jouer dans ses rapports sociaux avec ses correspondants et au-delà. En examinant les idées et la terminologie médicale exprimées dans les lettres de Wang Xizhi, cet article ambitionne aussi d’éclairer un pan du monde très varié des pratiques de guérison chinoises médiévales. Ses témoignages sur ses maladies, qui nous permettent d’approcher de près le grand calligraphe dans sa corporalité, nous rendent plus attentif aux conditions les plus physiques de sa production artistique.

« La nation qui ne sait d’où elle vient ne sait pas non plus où elle va ». Ces mots nous rappellent le rôle de l’histoire et son enseignement dans les différentes nations. En effet, l’histoire et son apprentissage permettent aux citoyens de connaître non seulement leur passé, mais aussi de transmettre la mémoire collective, de former l’esprit national et de développer une conscience politique commune. Cependant, dans les nations multiculturelles que connaissent le monde actuel, l’élaboration d’une même histoire nationale semble irréalisable voir même impensable, du fait que chaque groupe ethnique dispose d’un passé, d’une culture et de valeurs particuliers qu’il ne partage pas avec les autres groupes. Dans plusieurs pays multiethniques, l’accomplissement d’une histoire commune, la fabrication des manuels scolaires et l’enseignement de l’histoire nationale peuvent même provoquer des émotions de mépris, de haine, etc., entre les citoyens qui partagent pourtant la même nation. Dans cette contribution, nous verrons en quoi l’enseignement de l’histoire peut susciter les émotions négatives à l’école. Emotions in the Teaching of History: To what Extent Can the Teaching of History Provoke Negative Emotions in Schools? Abstract: “The nation that does not know where it comes from does not know where it is headed either.” These words remind us of the role of History and its teaching in different nations. Indeed, History and its teaching allow citizen not only to know their past but also to pass on collective memory, forge a national spirit and develop a collective political consciousness. However, in today’s world’s multicultural nations, producing a common national History seems an unachievable goal, if not unconceivable, since each ethnic group has its own past, its own culture and values which are not shared with other groups. In many countries that are multi-ethnic, attaining a common History, producing school books and teaching national History can even provoke such reactions as disdain, hate, etc., among citizen who otherwise belong to the same nation. In this study, we aim to show how the teaching of History can spark off such negative emotions in schools.

This article explores the epic story of an old fisherman and his experience at the sea that portrays the physical and emotional strength of a man called Santiago and will analyse his motivation to reclaim his lost reputation and dignity of not catching a fish for 84 days. Santiago confronted each day with poise and dignity for many days without catching a fish and was made fun of by many fishermen. He was called unlucky (salao) by the fellow fishermen. Hemingway illustrates the daring resolution of the old man through this tale. The story deals with the vital issues of mortality, hope, despair, and determination, where an old fisherman fights back against a huge fish to reclaim his honour and dignity. Ernest Hemingway rejoices over this heroic man who goes through life’s challenges alone with fierce courage and tenacity, exhibiting what Hemingway views as an indestructible spirit of man at its best. In addition, Hemingway reminds us about the human spirit and the importance of human dignity in our everyday struggle for survival. Hemingway compels us to acknowledge courage, tenacity, skill, expertise, and strength through this story. He recalls a tale of valour, daring, and heroism, of one man's struggle against his own doubts and about his success and failure, and his ultimate triumph. The novel brings forth man’s understanding of his own mortality and his power to overcome it. The objective of this study is to analyse the character of Santiago, based on the structural elements,using qualitative research.The primary data of the research is The Old Man and the Sea and the secondary data of the research are the other materials related to the study. The result of the study shows following conclusion.Based on the research the character of Santiago’s struggle displays the aptitude of the indomitable spirit of man that endures suffering and adversity in order to succeed. The story illustrates Santiago’s adventure and resolution, hardship and perseverance.

Let each of you know that you are a blessing from God to each other. Everyone has the right to marry and start a family. No sane person gets married to get divorced later. The success of a marriage is measured by reminding one of the heavenly life. Failure is living hell. Let's note one thing, the fate of unsuccessful families should not frighten the younger generation and deter them from getting married. Everyone, each family has their own destiny and share of happiness. Couples getting married to start a family make life more enjoyable. But what is the family itself? A family is not just two people living under one roof. Living together, sitting next to each other, sitting at the same table, going shopping together, etc. Issues are not yet about being a family. Being a family means that the parties open up to each other spiritually, share their heart world, share their most intimate feelings, and build their partnership on compassion and love. Many women were socially conditioned as children to believe that gender operates on a superiority/inferiority axis – the male has been naturally created to be in charge and to take dominion of all living and non-living things including plants, animals, fishes, birds, children, and women. For the women, they are to be submissive to the biological order of things which patriarchy has worked hard to institutionalise. One of the means patriarchy has adopted to sustain this belief is the divide and rule tactic, where women are taught to believe that they cannot work together, cannot love one another and cannot support one another because they do not like themselves. This belief is propagated through folklore, especially in co-wife rivalry tales. Another common instance is the raging ‘war’ between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law. This paper will analyse the common myth that women are their own worst enemies through selected Nigerian folktales, and in the second part, will analyse contemporary Nigerian women’s autobiographies, with particular emphasis on the 3-volume biographical compendium, Women of Valour, and how these women negated this erroneous belief in their narratives. One of the findings of this paper is that women’s autobiographies have significantly disabuse many of these patriarchal myths about women, thereby rewriting and re-narrating women’s life histories. Another finding is that many of the women featured in the biography used the medium as a platform to voice themselves into being, thereby empowering themselves through the narration of their life stories.

The purpose of the article is to investigate the features of development of the value component of personal identity in student age empirically. Methods of the research. For the research there were used the following theoretical methods: analysis, synthesis, systematization, generalization of theoretical and empirical data on the research problem; empirical ones like testing by methods: “Methodology for personal identity research” (Колесніченко, 2020); “Methodology for diagnosis the level of reflexivity development” (Колесніченко, 2020); “Portrait of Values” (Семків, 2013); “Self-Assessment Questionnaire Test” (Сенчина, 2019); methods of mathematical statistics: descriptive statistics, correlation analysis. Results of the research. It has been established that the students under study have the identity status “Moratorium”, which is characterized by an identity crisis. The study of the value orientations has shown that the values of hedonism, kindness, and achievement are priorities for today’s student youth. In the course of the study of self-attitude, such components as self-respect, autosympathy and self-interest have been analyzed. It has been found that the studied students have an average level of self-respect. Self-sympathy of the subjects has an average level: in general, students are characterized by a favorable attitude towards themselves. Indicators of students’ self-interest are at a level higher than the average, which indicates the presence of a stable cognitive attitude to one’s own “Self”, interest in one’s own thoughts and feelings. It has been established that the average level of development of reflexivity prevails among student youth: students reflect on their current activities, are inclined to introspection in certain life situations. Conclusions. The conducted correlation analysis has confirmed the presence of significant positive relationships between the selected components of the value component of identity and the general status of identity. This indicates that value orientations, self-attitude and reflexivity can act as meaningful components of the value component of students’ personal identity, which has confirmed the proposed assumption.

Rimtautas Vincentas Gibavičius is one of the most authoritative Lithuanian artists of the late Soviet period. He had a solid position in the Artists Association, sat on a number of arts councils and collaborated with leading Lithuanian publishing houses as a book illustrator and expert. An “insider” both among the official ranks and artists challenging the system. He was known for his extensive expertise and professionalism. The article asks how the contrasting traits such as the posture of a western artist and Soviet recognition combined in the artist’s personality. The study incorporates memories of the contemporaries of the artist and remaining sparse notes reflecting the moral standards of the artist within the context of existing sovietology studies in Lithuania. In many cases, memories illustrate the position outlined in the monograph by Vilius Ivanauskas Įrėminta tapatybė: Lietuvos rašytojai Tautų draugystės imperijoje on the situation of the artist in Soviet Lithuania (2015). That study became the methodological and structural basis for the article. Its starting point is the idea of Ivanauskas that artists in Soviet times were mostly affected by three contrasting forces: constant collective disciplining, aspiration to have own position and need for creative success (Ivanauskas, 2015, p. 23). That idea is supported by the description by Aušra Marija Sluckaitė Jurašienė – a diplomatic maverick who had quite close ties to off spring of the Soviet elite – describing the importance of the social environment and social ties. These factors underlying the position of the artist are the cornerstones of the text which is divided into four sections: Social Environment and Social Ties; Collective Disciplining, Need to Have Own Position; and Creative Success. The article reaches the main conclusion that diplomacy was intrinsic to both the personality and creative work of Gibavičius. First, he manoeuvred between the applied and visual arts facilitating the development of the geometric composition expression. Second, the artist relied on aesthetics combining precise professional execution and decorative representation which is hard to decode in order to mask the true creative objectives related to focusing on formal creative objectives triggered by Western modernism. The importance of ties with people close to controlling bodies reflected the intertwining personal and public space of the Soviet society. Collective disciplining by these bodies would reach most people through a network of personal connections. Gibavičius had direct ties with the representatives of powerful authorities which he used as needed as a tool to broaden the boundaries of freedom. However, these ties did not affect his moral standards and gradually boosted his creative capacities.

Bank stakeholders such as investors, creditors, and other stakeholders of a bank, expect full disclosure to evaluate banks’ financial statements. To achieve this goal, bank managers can increase the value of a bank by enhancing the return on their investments. This study examines the impact of financial performance on the market value of Jordanian public shareholding banks. The study model examines the effect of return on investment (ROI), debt ratio, dividend policy, and current ratio while controlling for bank size. Bank value is measured using the market value. The sample is Jordanian banks listed on the Amman Stock Exchange between 2005 and 2020. To investigate the link between the study variables, the random effect model, panel least squares approach, correlation analysis, and descriptive measures are used. The findings indicate that banks own 3.025 JD from current assets for each JD from current liabilities. In addition, the debt ratio is 38.4% from total assets. Adj R2 for the study model is 22.1%. The results show that profitability, leverage, and bank size significantly affect the value of Jordanian banks, while dividend policy and liquidity do not have a significant impact.

Economic values of 15 production and functional traits for Slovakian Pied cattle were calculated under different marketing strategies. The traits were as follows: birth weight of calves, daily gain of calves in fattening, mature weight of cows, weight of calves at 120, 210 (weaning weight) and 365 days (yearling weight) of age, dressing percentage, mean class for fleshiness and fat covering, conception rate of heifers and cows, losses of calves at calving and from 48 hours to weaning, lifetime of cows and mean class for calving performance. A purebred cow-calf pasture system producing its own female and male replacement was assumed for all strategies. The following marketing strategies for surplus weaned female and male calves were taken into account: (A) export of all surplus calves, (B) intensive fattening of all surplus calves, (C) rearing and selling of all surplus non-pregnant (1) or pregnant (2) breeding heifers and fattening or export of surplus male calves. All calculations were carried out with the computer program Ecoweight. The relative economic importance of traits was calculated multiplying the economic values by the genetic standard deviations of the traits. The lifetime of cows was the most important trait when applying export or fattening of all calves or when selling pregnant breeding heifers, whereas the yearling weight was even more important for the strategy with selling non-pregnant heifers. The second most important trait was weaning weight in strategy A, yearling weight in strategy B and lifetime of cows in marketing strategy C. Carcass conformation traits had the lowest economic importance in all calculations.

Gleichwohl vertritt die jüngere Forschung nicht nur die Auffassung, dass die Vorstellung des griechischen paideia eine vorrangige Stellung in der griechisch-römischen Welt hatte, sondern zeichnet auch Paulus als Fürsprecher einer besonderen Art von christlicher paideia. Dies wirft Fragen zur Art der Beziehung zwischen dem Evangelium des Paulus und paideia auf. Die gegenwärtige Forschung stellt auch heraus, dass es einen Konflikt zwischen den Wertvorstellungen von paideia und jenen der Evangeliumsbotschaft von Paulus gegeben hatte. Dabei wird zuweilen eingeräumt, dass es schwierig ist festzulegen, wie die ethischen Wertvorstellungen von Paulus sich von jenen in seinem kulturellen Kontext unterscheiden. Dem entgegen erläutert Paulus in Galater 6:14- 16, dass er der Welt gekreuzigt ist und dass weder die Beschneidung noch das Unbeschnittensein irgendetwas gelten; eine neue Schöpfung zu sein ist alles, was zählt. Gemäß dem Gegner von Paulus in Galatien stellt die Beschneidung eine andere Form von kulturellem Kapital dar, was die Unterscheidung zwischen Beschnittenen und Unbeschnittenen rechtfertigt. Allerdings hat Paulus zufolge das Christusereignis die Bedeutung dieser Unterscheidung dramatisch reduziert. This raises questions about the nature of the relationship between Paul’s gospel and paideia. Recent research has also stressed that there was a conflict between the values of paideia and those of Paul’s gospel message, sometimes recognising that it can be difficult to specify how Paul’s ethical values differ from those of his cultural context, and sometimes questioning the basis of the call for a reversal of values that has been identified in Paul’s thinking.This article argues that advocates of Greek paideia sought to establish a distinction between the educated and the uneducated, presuming that only the educated elite was morally qualified to hold political office. Thus, paideia represents a kind of cultural capital that was used by the educated elite to justify their own superior position. However, in Galatians 6:14-15 Paul explains that he has been crucified to the world and that neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; being a new creation is all that matters. Circumcision represents another kind of cultural capital that, according to Paul’s opponents in Galatia, justifies the distinction between circumcised and uncircumcised. However, according to Paul, the Christ-event has dramatically reduced the importance of this distinction. Similarly, according to him, the significance of Greek paideia ‐ and hence of the distinction between educated and uneducated - has been reduced to nothing; the Christ-event has overturned the wisdom represented by paideia and thus removed the basis for its claim to status.RésuméPaul n’expose nulle part son point de vue sur la notion grecque de païdeia. Pourtant, la recherche récente a montré que c’était là une notion importante dans le monde gréco-romain ancien et que Paul préconisait une forme spécifique de païdeia chrétienne. Ce qui pose la question du rapport entre la païdeia et l’Évangile prêché par Paul. De même aussi, selon lui, l’importance de la païdeia, et donc de la distinction entre éduqué et non éduqué, a été réduite à néant : l’événement Jésus- Christ a renversé la sagesse que représente la païdeia et ôté tout fondement à la revendication d’un statut particulier sur cette base.

The article is devoted to the specifics of providing clinical and psychological assistance to people who, after a short-term hospitalization (5-7 days), were discharged from the hospital with a diagnosis of “transient ischemic attack” (TIA). The purpose of the study is to clarify the hierarchy of value meanings in the value system of patients who have undergone a TIA, as well as to study how exactly these values affect their attitude to taking care of their own health and, more importantly, adherence to the post-hospital outpatient self-care regimen. Research methods and techniques. Based on the main task of the research, the following diagnostic tools were used: the Mini-mult test adapted by V.P. Zaitsev; method of portrait selections by L. Sondi (MPV); questionnaire “Attitude to health” (author R. Berezovska); patient health questionnaire (Patient Health Questionnaire - PHQ-9); J. Rother’s method of diagnosing the level of subjective control (adaptation by E.F. Bazhyn, S.A. Golinkin, O.M. Etkinda); quality of life assessment questionnaire (SF-36); universal questionnaire for the quantitative assessment of adherence to treatment (QAA-25) by N.A. Nikolaev and Y.P. Skirdenko. Results and discussion. The study found that health is the leading terminal value for patients who have undergone a TIA, a happy family life is the second, and independence is the third one. At the same time, on the basis of regression analysis, the assumption about the overwhelming desirability for patients of such forms and methods of treatment, which minimizes their own efforts in order to overcome the disease, is substantiated. Conclusions. The results show that there are clearly expressed trends, with the help of which it is possible to orient oneself in the probable post-hospital behavior of the patient in relation to his own health, which in a new way raises the question of defining not so much typical, but rather individual ways of psychological approach to the patient’s personality, which corresponds to the prospects for the development of personalized medicine.

Abstract. The following research focuses on universal value analyses and lingvocultural analysis. It primarily focuses on the innovation, in that the concept of linguistic analysis has been combined with the concept of text. Furthermore, this method raises the work's theoretical level. These values therefore have an impact on how citizens are motivated to act as citizens and how their acts as global citizens are validated. Values serve as social action regulators. According to some researchers, education tends to lead to emancipation. "Universal value" refers to uncritically copying the value system of another country, supporting so-called "western" "freedom, democracy, equality, and human rights," among other ideals, while ignoring the originality and specificity of their own growth. It promotes itself as the universal ideals of human society, then goes on to criticize China's contemporary political structure. It is directly intended at promoting a political discourse and system with a strong stamp of western institutions, which is wrapped in academic language and transmitted through academic discourse. Universal values are supra-individual regulators of activity in society. Their image is a composite representation of certain values, which are reflected in the scientific public consciousness and the public consciousness of ordinary speakers of the national language and culture. Being a powerful personal resource, values also act as a basis linking the individual and society. Values perform a socializing function, because they are reproduced in the cultural structures of society, determine the consciousness of generations. This research is based on the idea that the real reality perceived by a person in the process of objective activity is reflected in the consciousness of an individual in the form of temporal, spatial and causal connections of phenomena and objects. In this regard, the model of linguistic consciousness can be represented by a certain set of associations, with the help of which a carrier of a certain culture acquires an idea of a fragment of the image of the world. Introduction. Both inside schooling and throughout society, education promotes, amplifies, and transmits values. Individuals will operate within society as a result of their values motivating them to take acts that they consider worthwhile. Individuals' actions may be influenced by society's emphasis on values, which may be influenced by social pressure to comply or social affirmation of good ideals. Research methods. The translation of values, the meaning of valus, the essence of the concept, the excessive length, complex phrases are inconvenient, with an excessive number of English values. Results and discussions. It is very important for a lingvoculture to work with a specialist in the field from the beginning to the end of the translation development process. There are good reasons for this. Bilingual dictionaries are more practical than textual content. For dictionaries of practical translation, the functional value of the term is important, that is, the user must be able to use the dictionary in order to understand a certain value in the correct context, understand it from a communicative point of view and understand it herself. Conclusion. In terms of idea, language and its intended use are extremely crucial to examine in the context of mass media. For the time being, any of us must be active in the process of communication.
