With the entry of 3G and WiMAX players, the Indian mobile subscriber base is expected to reach 1110 million by the end of 2015. To meet mobile infrastructure demand, India will require approximately 350,000 to 400,000 mobile telecommunications towers in the next 7 to 8 years. Presently only 40% of mobile telecommunications towers are shared in India. The high growth of subscribers and initial cost of mobile telecommunications towers and license conditions will force mobile network operators to share infrastructure with other mobile network operators, specifically with new operators. The Indian government has allowed sharing of passive and active components of mobile telecommunication infrastructure. With the changing demand of the telecommunications infrastructure, many new telecommunications tower business entities and companies and mobile telecommunications tower business models are being explored. In this paper, the author presents the landscape of the mobile telecommunications tower industry in India, which consists of four types of companies and trends with respect to the strategies of telecommunication tower companies, especially tenancy ratio. Emerging features of the mobile telecommunication towers industry in India are also presented.

Telecommunication infrastructure is part of critical infrastructure because it has a vital role in the community and affects the country's economy. Therefore, telecommunications infrastructure can be classified as a vital national object, requiring a particular security mechanism in its deployment. However, telecommunication infrastructure has different characteristics than other sectors, where the operation is fixed and mobile. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, data is obtained from benchmarks and interviews with resource persons from various fields through several Forum Group Discussion activities. Each telecommunications network operator can apply for National Vital Objects in the Telecommunications Sector based on the mechanism under the guidelines for determining the national vital object in the telecommunications sector stipulated through a Ministerial Regulation. The regulation covers various aspects, including the mechanism for determining, evaluating, fostering, and responsibilities of National Vital Objects in the Telecommunications Sector. In its implementation, the National Vital Objects in the Telecommunications Sector manager coordinates with various security parties, such as the Indonesian National Police. With the policy of the National Vital Objects in the Telecommunications Sector implementation mechanism, it is hoped that the telecommunications infrastructure can be well protected so that the business climate of telecommunications operations remains conducive and telecommunications services can always support the development and strengthening of the national economy.

Key findings reveal that robust telecommunications networks are foundational to smart city initiatives, enabling seamless communication between devices, infrastructure, and citizens. The review identifies critical areas where telecommunications drive sustainability, such as smart grids, intelligent transportation systems, and environmental monitoring. Moreover, the research underscores the importance of strategic planning and investment in telecommunication infrastructure to address challenges such as data security, privacy concerns, and digital divide issues. Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate the long-run impact of telecommunications revenue and telecommunications investment on economic growth of Ghana for the time horizon 1976-2007. Design/methodology/approach – The paper uses the Augmented Dickey Fuller and Phillips Perron unit root test to explore the stationarity property of the variables and the Engle-Granger residual-based test of cointegration to model an appropriate restricted error correction model. Findings – The outcome of the analysis produced mixed results. Telecommunications revenue does not contribute significantly whilst telecommunications investment does. Practical implications – Policy makers will have to deal with a conundrum; while designing targeted policies that will attract more telecommunication investment in order to maximize the corresponding revenues and the economic growth it brings in its wake, they must at the same time find ways and resources to grow the economy to a point or threshold where revenue from telecommunications can have the much needed impact on their economies. Originality/value – The study is one of the first that has investigated the line of causality between telecommunication revenue and economic growth unlike previous research that mainly focused on the impact of telecommunication infrastructure on economic development.

This paper empirically studies the impact of telecommunications infrastructure construction on economic and social innovative development using panel data from 31 provinces in China spanning from 2009 to 2022. The research findings indicate that telecommunication infrastructure significantly promotes innovation in terms of R&D investment, knowledge output, and application output. In addition, at various stages of telecommunication technology development, the impact on innovative development varies. Iterative updates in telecommunication technology drive higher R&D expenditures, facilitating better utilization of innovation outcomes in industries. Moreover, there are regional disparities in the influence of telecommunications infrastructure on economic and social innovative development. In the eastern regions, telecommunications infrastructure construction primarily promotes mobile communication, with clear spillover effects. In contrast, in western regions, it mainly facilitates fixed communication networks. Thus, further strengthening telecommunications infrastructure construction provides a new impetus for social innovative development and long-term sustainability. It is essential to persistently advance the coordinated construction of mobile and fixed communication infrastructure to achieve regional development coordination.

Introduction. The importance of telecommunications in the socio-economic sphere is growing, providing support for the development of the national economy, since the priority development of telecommunications, compared with the overall pace of economic development, significantly increases the competitiveness of the Ukrainian economy. Therefore, the management of telecommunications companies is defined as one of the priority areas of government in the face of growing competition, which makes the problem of increasing the competitiveness of telecommunications services and the telecommunications operator as a whole urgent.
Aim and tasks. The aim of the article is to study the methodological issues of substantiating the elements of enterprise competitiveness in the telecommunications services market, as well as studying the gradation of the level of competitiveness and recommendations for their use in managing the competitiveness of an enterprise.
Results. The scientific and theoretical approaches to the essence of the concept of «competitiveness» are considered. The study made it possible to form its own scientific vision of the economic category “competitiveness of telecommunication companies”. It is noted that modern global trends in the development of the telecommunications market affect its new type in the conditions of the formation of the information society. The main forms of competition in the telecommunications services market are considered. The features of modern telecommunications are highlighted. Disclosed policy in the space of competition regulation in the market of telecommunication services.
Conclusions. Identified and analyzed the basics of managing the competitiveness of telecommunications companies operating in a competitive environment, which is characterized by constant technological innovation.. The main elements of the process of managing the competitiveness of telecommunications companies are substantiated as components of the internal and external environment that determine or can determine the future performance of the company in the international and domestic markets, which will help create the conditions for the implementation of a highly developed information and telecommunications infrastructure to provide telecommunications services to all segments of the population.

In this paper we investigate how telecommunications infrastructure affects economic growth. We use evidence from 21 OECD countries over a 20-year period to examine the impacts that telecommunications developments may have had. We jointly estimate a micromodel for telecommunication investment with a macro production function. We find evidence of a significant positive causal link, especially when a critical mass of telecommunications infrastructure is present. Interestingly, the critical mass appears to be at a level of telecommunications infrastructure that is near universal service. (JEL O57, O47, L69)

The purpose of the article is to present the results of research on the direction of changing the content and forms of economic activity of telecommunication enterprises in the process of introducing the newest technologies. The article also proposes a micro model of one of the possible options for increasing the effectiveness of the economic activity of an enterprise by organizing its effective interaction with all participants of the telecommunication market. The study was performed on the example of communication enterprises operating in the communication space of Ukraine. Since the current markets for communication services integrated with the cyberspace of the Internet are virtually global, it can be assumed that the results are typical for other communication spaces. Methodology. Theoretical and methodological basis of the research are monographs, scientific books, scientific articles of modern scientists in the field of telecommunications, the newest information and communication technologies, economic globalization, development of the Internet. The basic documents that form the basis for analysing the performance of telecommunications enterprises are statistical data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. Other available Internet publications have also been used. To ensure the validity of research results, the following methods were used: survey methods for clarifying concepts; economic-statistical and method of graphic representation in the study of directions of changes in economic activity of telecommunications enterprises in Ukraine; economic modelling, in particular, the heuristic anaxiomatization approach, in the development of micro models of cooperation of the communication enterprise with other market actors in the process of economic activity, and some others. Results. The conducted researches confirmed the assumption that there is a redistribution of incomes during the introduction of the newest technologies in the economic activity of telecommunication enterprises. The share of revenues from the provision of telecommunications services is declining, the share of revenues from the provision of Internet services is increasing. To increase the effectiveness of economic activities of telecommunications enterprises, a micro model of cooperation has been developed and justified by the enterprise of communication with other market players in the process of economic activity. Practical importance. The micro model of interaction reflects the actual structure of interaction between telecommunications enterprises and all participants in the global telecommunications market. Practical implementation of the model can contribute to increasing the efficiency of the economic activity of telecommunications enterprises in the context of the introduction of new technologies. The model can also be used by other researchers to study various aspects of economic activity in the real market where telecommunication companies operate. Value/ originality. The originality of the results lies in a detailed study of real trends of changes in the content of economic activity of telecommunication enterprises in the context of introducing new technologies, and in the development of a micro model for the interaction of the telecommunications enterprise with all other market players.

The purpose of this research is to know the profitability ratios of telecommunication companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2014-2017, particularly the influence of profitability ratio to stock price of telecommunication company. This research is conducted on twelve telecommunication companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data used are secondary data of financial statements. The analytical technique mobilize multiple linear regression with two dependent variables of ROA and ROE and one free variable of stock price, to test the contribution of variable in influencing the stock price of companies. The results of research on Indonesian telecommunications companies show that the movement of stock prices are not significantly influenced by the value of ROE on Indonesian telecommunications companies. This study found that in the telecommunications company in Indonesia the increased or decreased value of ROA have an influence on the value of the company and the stock price of companies.

In the context of globalization and digitalization, the sphere of telecommunications is one of the most promising, since telecommunications enterprises supply the population with information and telecommunication services along with access to the Internet. The telecommunications sector became especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the communication system was built on the principles of digital technologies. Crisis conditions of functioning contribute to the transformation of the entire system of economic activity. First of all, it concerns the energy-dependent spheres of the economy. Therefore, the main strategic direction of development is the formation of an adaptive diversified integrative system of information and telecommunication services. The carried out study substantiates the problems and prospects for the development of the telecommunications sector in a crisis. The authors develop a system of indicators of a comprehensive rating assessment, which covers development indicators in six main areas, namely: the efficiency of internal business processes; optimization of flow management of service chains; sustainability and safety of technology and innovation; level of national integration; level of digital strategic partnership; customer loyalty. The results of the carried out rating assessment according to the proposed system of indicators indicate the integrative orientation of the development of the telecommunications sector, as well as the readiness for an adaptive transformation policy into the global network of the information and telecommunication system on the basis of the formation of diversification organizational and economic mechanisms of activity and innovative technologies.

In the process of preparation of the article the methods of analytical, statistical and financial analysis were used. A scientific novelty is the proposal to use effective indicators of economic efficiency of the enterprise, such as profitability, profitability, cost, return on resources, investment, etc. to assess the effectiveness of the formation and use of the potential of the telecommunications enterprise. Conclusions. 1. The study of trends in the formation of the potential of telecommunications enterprises in Ukraine has determined that the pace of its development corresponds to the basic principles and principles of the concept of economic development and strategy of information society development adopted in Ukraine. The development of the economy of telecommunications enterprises is facilitated at the state level by developing new legislation in the information and telecommunications technologies sector in Ukraine, discussing and adopting new strategies for digital transformation aimed at using big data, blockchain, cloud technologies, robotics and the Internet of Things. 2. It is determined that the potential of a telecommunications enterprise is a unity of organizational, technical and information capabilities that contribute to the preparation and adoption of management decisions and influence its development. Features of capacity building determine the following components that ensure its functioning: software and hardware; personnel; information (databases); organizational, marketing, technical, technological, etc. 3. The system of financial indicators for definition of efficiency of functioning of the formed potential of the telecommunication enterprise is offered. 4. The Nigerian Telecommunications Industry is classified as the fastest-growing and most competitive Telecommunications industry in the world. It has the largest subscriber base in Africa with over 150 million subscribers. Due to the increased competitiveness in the telecommunication industry in Nigeria, customer retention has become the focus of telecommunication providers. It is in this light that this paper is built. Hence, the general objective of the paper is to determine the effect of experience marketing on customer retention in the Nigerian Telecommunications industry. The study made use of primary data gotten through a validated set of structured questionnaires which was distributed to a selected sample of 402 respondents within the six states of the south-south geo-political zone of the Niger Delta Area of Nigeria, which are Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Calabar, Edo, Delta and River States. The paper adopted correlation and regression analysis to test the formulated research questions and hypotheses. After the analysis, it was discovered that there was a strong and positive effect of experience marketing on customer retention in the Nigerian Telecommunications industry. The study, therefore, concluded that Customer Service Quality, Customer Brand Relationship, and Customer Emotional Experience are good indicators and dimensions of Experience Marketing that could increase the degree to which customer retention is enhanced in Telecommunication Firms in Nigeria. Hence, it was recommended, among others, that Telecommunication operators in Nigeria must switch from the traditional marketing approach to an experience-based marketing strategy if they want to remain relevant and competitive in the globalised telecommunication industry.

Such complex object as telecommunication network requires advanced software tools for their planning and management. They realize that the knowledge in these huge databases might significantly improve various organizational strategic and operational decisions. However, this knowledge is not given explicitly, it is hidden in data. Advanced methods and algorithms are being developed for knowledge extracting. In this paper we will focus on using data mining for solving selected problems in telecommunication industry. We will provide a systematic overview of various telecommunications applications.

The analysis focused on historical cyber threat data and incidents within the telecommunications sector to identify prevalent threats and vulnerabilities. The literature review provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by the industry and the evolving landscape of cybersecurity. Quantitative data was collected through surveys administered to telecommunication companies operating in the United States. The surveys covered various aspects of cybersecurity practices, protocols, and incidents. The data collected from the surveys was analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of existing cybersecurity measures in mitigating cyber threats. Additionally, qualitative insights and perspectives were gathered through interviews with key stakeholders, including cybersecurity experts, telecommunication industry professionals, and regulatory authorities. The findings of this study contribute to a better understanding of the state of cybersecurity in the United States telecommunications industry. The literature-based approach allowed for a comprehensive assessment of the industry's cybersecurity posture based on existing knowledge and research. The research outcomes provide valuable insights for telecommunication companies, policymakers, and regulatory authorities. By addressing the identified gaps and weaknesses, policymakers and regulatory authorities can implement targeted interventions to enhance cybersecurity practices. Telecommunication companies can leverage the research findings to strengthen their cybersecurity protocols and protect critical infrastructure. The research study demonstrates the importance of continuous evaluation and improvement of cybersecurity measures in the telecommunications industry. It highlights the need for ongoing collaboration between industry stakeholders, policymakers, and regulatory bodies to address the evolving cyber threat landscape effectively. Intense competition in the global telecommunications field has resulted in heavy investments ininnovative approaches to remain competitive. Kenya has followed this global trend following theliberalization of market operations. This article highlights how innovation strategies influence thecompetitive advantage of telecommunication companies in Kenya. Specifically, the study’s objectiveswere based on how product innovation, process innovation, technological innovation, and marketinnovation influence the competitive advantage of telecommunication companies in Kenya. The studyused a descriptive design to sample 26 licensed telecommunications targeting 311 management staff.The proportionate sampling yielded 247 responses. Using linear regression analysis run through theSPSS computer program, the results show that innovation strategies statistically influence thecompetitive advantage of telecommunication companies in Kenya with a beta of .376 (β = .376t = 6.613,p<.05). The study concludes that innovation strategies, if well harnessed, provide a platform forachieving competitive advantage over the long term. Innovation theories are truly supportive of thedynamic application of innovation strategies within telecommunication companies actively seizing anysuch opportunities in the short term. Undeniably, translation into competitive advantage will dependon the aggressiveness of each individual company. The study recommends that firms should create andmaintain special teams to lead implementation of innovative strategies in order to attain competitiveadvantage in the telecommunications sector.

The purpose of this research is to compare the accuracy of Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) and Arbitrage Pricing Theory (APT) in estimating the return of telecommunication stock return. From the results of the Median Absolute Deviation (MAD) value has a small difference. Based on the results of Independent Sample T-Test can be concluded that there is no significant difference between CAPM and APT method in predicting the return of telecommunications stocks return.

The concern over the likely impact of space‐adjusting technologies like telecommunications has attracted considerable attention in most studies. The focus of this paper is to examine how the proliferation of telecommunications affects intra‐urban flow of people in a medium size urban centre. This is with a view to understanding the implications of the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on travel pattern in a sub‐Saharan urban centre like Zaria, Nigeria. In doing this however, attempts were made to answer the following questions: How have telecommunications substituted trip patterns in the study area? Does telecommunication usage eliminate all types of trips and to what extent has it helped to eliminate urban trips? In trying to provide answers to these questions, this study obtained purposive data from 335 telecommunication users that were carefully sampled. The results thereafter established that 76.7 % of the respondents substitute certain trips in the city and that telecommunications do not eliminate the physical movements of the residents surveyed. Furthermore, results also depict that not all trip types in the city are significantly substituted by telecommunications, rather the usage of ICT has tremendously helped to complement intra‐urban trip types in the city. The implications of these findings therefore are that with the improvement and subsequent increases in high tele‐density in the area, least‐cost travel planning will be ultimately achieved.

Despite the importance of inclusive leadership, there is dearth of studies exploring the influence of inclusive leadership on employee engagement in the telecommunications industry. Hence, this study sought to examine the influence of inclusive leadership on employee engagement in selected telecommunication companies in Namibia. A qualitative approach was adopted, where face-to-face interviews were conducted using a semi-structured interview guide. The participants (22 executives) were selected for interviews from two telecommunication companies in Namibia using a purposive sampling method. Data collection involved recording and transcribing participant interviews using Microsoft Word. Thematic analysis was conducted using NVivo 20 software. Results show the importance of empathy and non-hierarchical leadership behaviour as the most critical factor influencing team engagement and discretionary effort in the telecommunications industry in Namibia. Meanwhile, clear career advancement pathways, work autonomy, cross-departmental collaboration, and supervisory support are major contributors to employee engagement for innovative performance and sustainability in the telecommunications industry.

In order to identify the role of data storage in the monitoring system of a telecommunications device, a conceptual design method was used, which was based on the basic principles of the Telecommunication Management Network concept, which is a network management system for telecommunication operators. Based on this concept, it was possible to design a data storage model in the monitoring system of a telecommunications device, which clearly reflects the separation of databases involved in the telecommunications network at different levels of the concept. A description of the differences between the databases assigned to each specific level from each other and an explanation of the functional features of each of the databases under consideration, as well as a description of the data circulation process over the network, is presented. The work focuses on describing the contents of the database of a specific telecommunications device, which is the object of control in the communication network, with the possibility of developing an interface to this database, which makes it convenient to search, view and modify stored data. To designate the information stored in the database of a telecommunications device, a fragment of the database was developed containing a set of attributes characterizing the device, their values and parameters of attribute values. The role of the database interface is to enable the user to quickly and easily access the information contained in the database.

To remedy this situation the introduction of performance monitoring is fully supported. It is time for the telecommunications industry to adopt new broadband business models that are based on the provision of unlimited data and a maximum of 90 to 95 per cent utilisation on optical network links.

It assessed the relationship between marketing mix strategies (product variety, promotion, people and process) and subscribers’ satisfaction in the telecommunications industry. Cross sectional research design was adopted and primary data were obtained from 107 telecommunication subscribers using a structured questionnaire. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics (frequency tables and simple percentages) and inferential statistics (Pearson’s product moment correlation) in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS 23). The findings of the study revealed that product variety, promotion, people and process had significant positive relationships with subscribers’ satisfaction in the telecommunications industry. In line with these findings, we made practical implications for possible implementation by players in the telecommunications industry.

The article systematizes the challenges to the largest Russian telecommunications companies and presents certain proposals of economic, financial and legal character to prevent possible damage to the industry. In this paper, we consider the problem of minimising the cost of data transmission as a function of the capacity of telecommunication links. To solve this problem, we first formulated a mathematical model, and then we designed and developed a software that enables the optimisation of the given or randomly generated telecommunications network. Declarative programming is a good choice for optimisation problems because it is enough to specify only the relations that must be satisfied, without giving any effective procedure for finding the values for the decision variables. To test the application, we developed a software that randomly generates a telecommunications network that meets the given requirements. This enables us to test the application on an arbitrary number of different telecommunication networks with different numbers of nodes and links, and analyse the impact of changing network parameters on the flow and results of the optimisation. As telecommunications networks operate in conditions of uncertainty, the subject of special analysis was the potential failure of some of the network links. The paper presents and thoroughly analyses the optimisation results for several selected networks, as well as summary results for a number of telecommunications networks.

While the sample is taken is the profitability ratios such as gross profit margin (GPM), operating profit margin (OPM), net profit margin (NPM), return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE) and Earnings per Share (EPS) at Telelomunikasi companies that go public and have complete data in 2007-2011 period is 5 company, a Telecommunication Company of the State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and Private Telecommunication company 4. The model used is a non-parametric statistics using a different test(Independent Sample Test). These results indicate that thevariable used is the gross profit margin (GPM), operating profit margin (OPM), net profit margin (NPM), return on assets(ROA), return on equity (ROE) and Earnings per Share (EPS) significantly influence the financial performance differences between SOEs and private telecommunications companies that gopublic in the period 2007-2011, and shows the financial performance of state-owned telecommunications company betterthan Private Telecommunications company. In the present study indicate that use of all the variables, the variable ROE on state-owned telecommunications companies stand out and show a better value. ROE on Telecommunications Private companies showed a decline in each year.

Providing a quality data-heavy transfer is a major factor in increasing the role and importance of investment activity in achieving the strategic targets of telecommunications providers. Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. There are works dedicated to the problems and the value of ICT investment, but on the general issues of telecommunications. However, in the scientific literature surveyed, the investment activity of telecom providers is not addressed as it is in this paper. Uninvestigated parts of general matters defining. The study of telecommunications providers’ investment requires separate research that will address the issues in the context of ongoing changes. The research objective. The purpose of this research is a study of conditions, problems and trends of telecommunications providers’ investment activity. The statement of basic materials. The trends of European and Ukrainian telecommunications providers’ activity suggest that current providers should consider investment activities that solve higher important strategic tasks when ICT technologies spread very quickly. Due to the existing complex problems, telecommunication providers in Ukraine, especially Ukrtelecom, which accounts for 14% of the market, are unable to provide sufficient and timely amounts of investment. As a result, the needed investment in facilities is lacking. This situation negatively influences the rate of penetration and diffusion of new generations of ICT in Ukraine compared with developed countries. Conclusions. To overcome the existing technology gap in the implementation of investment activities by Ukrainian telecommunication providers, the main emphasis should be given to the selection of investment directions. This will provide not only the modernization of their networks, but also the basis of future long-term development. The conditions and effectiveness of telecommunication providers investment activities are becoming more important not only according to strategic development, but also in terms of the availability of modern ICT.

The increase in the number of cases of failure of information and telecommunication networks due to cyber attacks determines the need to protect them from this type of attacks. The issue of increasing cyber security in the conditions of conducting operations by groups of troops (forces) is very important. Due to the armed conflict in the East of Ukraine, the military-political instability in the Middle East, the struggle for influence on world financial and energy flows, the global military-political instability is intensifying. This is due to an increase in the number of communication devices in information and telecommunication networks, as well as an increase in the number of possible attacks that can be used to disrupt the operation of an information and telecommunication network. Considering the above, the object of research is a special purpose information and telecommunication system. The subject of research is cyber security of a special purpose information and telecommunication system. Classical methods of scientific knowledge, namely analysis and synthesis, were used during the research. The research identifies factors that affect cyber security in a special purpose information and telecommunications system. All this must be taken into account while planning and deploying a special purpose information and telecommunication system. The analysis of the consequences of the impact on the information and telecommunications system of special purpose of modern devices of defeat and the impact of devices of radio-electronic suppression and other factors was carried out. A typical special purpose information and telecommunication system does not fully meet the requirements for constant readiness to ensure the management of troops (forces), stability, mobility and throughput. A formalized description of the task of improving cyber security in a special purpose information and telecommunications network is provided. The components that affect the level of cyber security of the special purpose information and telecommunication network during the group's operations have been established. The impact of the specified conditions and factors must be reflected: in the planning documents during the planning of the deployment and operation of the group's information and telecommunications system; in the software, during operational management.

The Artarmon Triangle in Sydney, Australia is cornered by three large broadcast towers that, over the years, have emitted high levels of radiofrequency radiation. One study of the Artarmon Triangle suggests a link between the incidence of leukemia and proximity to the towers. Further, there is a widespread belief within the telecommunications industry that exposure to radiofrequency radiation may cause telecommunication equipment riggers to conceive more female offspring.
This study tests a hypothesis that telecommunications riggers who have worked on any of the three Artarmon Triangle towers would have an increased frequency of female offspring when compared to telecommunications riggers who have not worked in the Triangle.

The article proposes the integration of neural networks as a parallel element base in telecommunications systems. In this case, their main advantage, the ability to self-study or adapt to external conditions, will be used. For telecommunication systems in conditions of interference, this ability will significantly increase their noise immunity, reliability, operability, etc. The article considers an example of integration of a neural network into a discrete matched signal filter. It is noted that the use of parallel mathematics in signal processing, such as a system of residual classes, will lead to the maximum effect of increasing the quality parameters of such elements of telecommunications.
Purpose – introduction to neural networks; application of neural networks in digital filtering; possible directions of integration of neural network technologies.
Method or methodology of the work: harmonic analysis, Fourier transform, correlation analysis were used in the article.
Results: The introduction of mass parallelism in telecommunications becomes feasible when integrating neural networks into telecommunication elements. The efficiency becomes maximum when using simultaneously parallel mathematics of the system of residual classes
Practical implications: the use of parallel mathematics in signal processing, such as a system of residual classes, will lead to the maximum effect of increasing the quality parameters of such elements of telecommunications.

The aim of the article is to develop a methodology for the formal design of the complex information security system in information and telecommunication systems. At the moment, there are no methods for the formal design of complex information security system in information and telecommunication systems, so the development of such a methodology is an urgent task. The article discusses the methods of formalized modeling of information security policy and methods of formalized description of the information and telecommunications system and information processing processes. The necessity of formal design of complex information security system is substantiated and the requirements for the development of formal descriptions of an integrated information security system in accordance with regulatory documents in the field of technical protection of information are described. The comparative characteristics of the methods of formalized modeling of information security policy and methods of formalized description of the information and telecommunication system and information processing processes are given. As a result of the comparison, it is proposed to use the UML method for the formal description of the information-telecommunication system, and the UMLsec method for the security policy modeling. An algorithm for the formation of a complex of protection facilities in an information and telecommunications system is proposed from a formal model of security policy and from a formalized description of an information and telecommunications system and information processing processes.

The present article evaluates the public policy towards the telecommunication sector in Brazil, taking into consideration the dead scheme of state monopoly and the introduction of processes of privatization, economic liberalization and technological innovation. It is described the increase in direct foreign investments, new forms of technology innovation, introduction of regulatory institutions, goals for investments and scopes of service attendance. Through a wide bibliographical review, data analysis and interviews with specialists, entrepreneurs and public policy makers, it was possible to better understand the role of the public policy on the national technological innovation capabilities in the sector. The results demonstrate that the commercial balance in telecommunication's equipments has increased its deficit as well as the expenses with the foreign technology transfer contracts. The new market structure was achieved mainly due to an elevation of internal prices to international levels and the legislation favorable to the competition among incumbents. It is identified an absence of policies and incentives of the public sector in the telecommunications technology innovation system, allowing an increased Brazilian dependence on foreign supply.

This study empirically examines the correlation between service system innovation and competitiveness in Nigeria, an emerging market, by focusing on the country’s mobile telecommunications sector. The moderating effect of managerial competencies was also tested. Due to the contribution of the telecommunications sector to the economic well-being of Nigeria and the world’s economy at large, the sector witnesses a high level of competition among its players, resulting in unsustainable price wars, negatively impacting the telecommunication firms and their ability to invest in service improvements. Thus, there is a need for a study into the factors affecting competitiveness in the telecommunications sector. A cross sectional survey was used because the study explored the relationships between service system innovation, managerial competencies and competitiveness. The study used a survey instrument, which was sent to 450 respondents using Google Forms, out of which 230 responded. The 230 returned copies represented a 51.1 percent return rate, which satisfied the minimum required return rate for a cross sectional study. The study’s hypotheses were tested using the partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM). The finding revealed that service system innovation (idea development, service development and commercialization) enhances the competitiveness of mobile telecommunication firms. Thus, an increase in idea development, service development and commercialization is essential for a competitive advantage. Also, managerial competencies were found to significantly moderate the relationship between service system innovation and competitiveness. The study provides a new insight into how service system innovation affects the competitiveness of telecommunications companies, particularly in emerging markets, with Nigeria as the focal point. It also shows the role managerial competencies play in the telecommunications sector. This study offers proof of the traits of service system innovation, managerial competencies, and competitiveness in the telecommunications sector. It also developed and tested a scale for measuring these variables, which future studies could adopt.

The government has initiated access and telecommunication infrastructure equalization program in Indonesia by deploying BTS to provide signals in the frontier, outermost, and least developed (3T) regions and providing rural internet access services. Government investment through the provision of telecommunications and internet access in rural areas is expected to be able to provide economic benefits for improving the people’s welfare. This study aims to identify the economic benefits of equitable access and infrastructure in rural areas (mainly 3T villages) with the Ranti Generic IS/IT Business Value Table. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that in ideal conditions, equitable access to the internet and telecommunications infrastructure can contribute directly to cost efficiency for rural communities by reducing distribution costs and telecommunications costs. Also, the use of telecommunications and internet access can improve the people’s welfare by increasing business capacity and expanding market segmentation.
