Background: Social media can be powerful tools to influence high-risk behaviors. This study aimed to evaluate tobacco-related images on Instagram’s Persian-language pages and their audience attraction rates. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study included 1870 Instagram posts with cigar, cigarette, e-cigarette, tobacco, vape, and shisha/waterpipe/hookah hashtags. The number of likes and comments for these posts were recorded, and the image type, the attitude of the audience, and the type of caption were noted as well. Results: In general, 500 images (26.7%) had #cigar/cigarette, while 30 (1.6%), 470 (25.1%), 650 (34.8%), 70 (3.7%), and 150 (8%) images had #e-cigarette, #shisha/#waterpipe/#hookah, # tobacco, #juice, and #vape hashtags, respectively. The most common type of image was product images (52.4%). The audience’s attitude towards the images was mostly positive (93.2%). In addition, the most common caption type was sales (76.5%). There was a significant correlation between the number of likes and comments with image hashtags, audience attitude, and caption type. The highest number of likes and comments belonged to images with shisha/waterpipe/hookah hashtags and a positive audience attitude. The sales caption type had the highest number of likes, while the encouragement caption type had the highest number of comments. Eventually, text image types had the highest number of comments. Conclusion: Given the high promotion of tobacco-related posts on Instagram, policymakers should take the necessary measures to reduce the volume of tobacco advertisements.

Ibn Abbas, one of the companions of the Prophet classified the level of rasikh in understanding al Qur’an verses as four parts: first, it is able to be understood by Arabian generally based on their linguistic; second, there is no reason for them to let it; third, noone knows except scholars; and fourth, only Allah knows it. This is proof of the miracles and the truth of the prophet Muhammad SAW, one of the al Qur’an terms of language which can be accepted by the owner’s only. Besides, Muhammad’s friends who witnessed the al Qur’an descent, they knew and understood it structure and vocabulary of the language, and the context of the verses passage, so the appreciation of the al Qur’an interpretation is always needed by the Indonesian mufassir that is M. Quraish Shihab in tafsir al Misbah.

The purpose of the research is to describe the assonance figurative language in Catatan Harian Catatan Najwa by Najwa Shihab. The data of this research is primary data which consists of quotations of assonance figurative language and the metaphor of that assonance. The source of this data is daily notes of Catatan Najwa by Najwa Shihab. This research is qualitative with descriptive method. Through collecting data, choosing data, and analyzing data, the research can understand the assonance figurative language and the metaphor from the daily notes of Catatan Najwa by Najwa Shihab. Moreover, the researcher interpreted it logically and drawed the conclusion for each discussion.The result shows that there are three things that are related to this research, they are two kinds of assonance figurative language; assonance figurative language of vowel repetition on one speech and one line. For example: Indonesia adalah kata kerja, kita semua yang harus menuntaskannya. Next is assonance figurative language with the repetition of vowel pattern on two lines, such as: Cukup lama dia geming membatuMenyindir kekuasaan yang penuh ragu. Moreover, there are some words that comprise metaphor, such as: Uluran tangan which means giving help, geming membatu which means being silent without saying any words, ibu pertiwi which means Indonesia land, which is suitable with this theory (Suwandi, 2011: 117). Thus, it can be concluded that there are two kinds of assonance figurative language and words that have metaphor meaning in Catatan Najwa daily notes.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi atau pandangan mahasiswa Jurnalistik UIN Bandung pada keterampilan komunikasi lisan presenter Najwa Shihab. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, metode penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif yang memaparkan suatu situasi atau peristiwa berdasarkan data dari hasil wawancara. Metode ini digunakan agar mengetahui persepsi atau pandangan mahasiswa pada keterampilan komunikasi lisan presenter Najwa Shihab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pandangan mahasiswa terhadap keterampilan komunikasi Najwa Shihab menimbulkan persepsi yang positif. Keterampilan komunikasi Najwa Shihab saat membawakan sebuah acara dan menyampaikan informasi mampu membentuk pemahaman mahasiswa akan isi pesan yang disampaikan. Keterampilan komunikasi yang dimiliki Najwa Shihab sesuai dengan konsep dari Asrori yang meliputi keterampilan dalam menggunakan kata-kata/bahasa/gaya bahasa yang menarik dan sopan, dan mampu menjadi pendengar yang baik bagi narasumber maupun audiens dalam sebuah acara talkshow. Kata Kunci ; Persepsi; Keterampilan Komunikasi; This research aims to find out the perceptions of views of UIN Bandung Journalistic students on the presenter’s oral communication skills, Najwa Shihab. This study uses a qualitative approach, the research method of this study is a descriptive method that describes a situation or event based on data from interviews. This method is used to determine the perceptions or views of students on the presenter's oral communication skills, Najwa Shihab. The results of the study show that students' views on the presenter's communication skills Najwa Shihab rise up the positive perceptions. Najwa Shihab's communication skills when delivering an event and delivering information were able to create students' understanding of the contents of the message delivered. The communication skills possessed by Najwa Shihab are in accordance with the concepts of Asrori which include skills in using interesting and polite words, languages and language styles, as well as are able to become good listeners for the speakers and audiences in a talkshow. The current paper is dedicated to examine Quraish Shihab’s views on Muhkamât and Mutasyahabihat. The method applied in this study is critical analysis by comparing various reference of his works. I am interested in this topic because it is related to the Qur’anic Studies. I found that not all muhkamat verses are disputed, some of them remained clear. In the discussion around the texts of the mutasyabihat, Quraish Shihab did not mention the views of sufi thought such as Ibn Arabi who used the 'irfani’s perspective. In addition, his study of mutasyabihat verses related to God's attributes and deeds can be found deeper in other works, by using an intertextual analysis. It is found that Quraish Shihab did not relate majaz when he discussed it. The majaz style in the Qur'an, among others, is used to expand the function of the language description, to accommodate as many ideas or meanings as possible, by giving a picture or imagination in such a way as to be understood by man, as a being to whom the Qur'an is derived. Since the verses are addressed to humans to understand, the symbols used also in the form of language understood by humans.

The article deals with the lexical means expressing the biological sex semantics in Russian. Nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs may carry information on the denotatum of the semantically related noun. According to the National corpus of Russian language a set of such relevant lexemes and the statistical probability of their male and female markedness is established. Also the statistical probability of their male and female markedness in accordance with the modern Russian lexical minimum is determined.

Abstract: The meaning of the Qur'an made on social media can occur in the form of an oral and more dialectical explanation. Quraish Shihab interprets the Qur'an on Najwa Shihab's Youtube Channel by responding to people's understanding of the Qur'an. This study aims to analyze the cultural structure of understanding and meaning depicted on Najwa Shihab's Youtube Channel. This study uses qualitative methods and content analysis as a data analysis tool. Meanwhile, the achievement of cultural analysis in language uses a structuralist anthropological approach introduced by Levi-Strauss. This study concludes that the explanation of meaning is carried out through two mechanisms; delegitimization as a critique of understanding and figurative as a meaning mechanism that is relevant to the understanding of new issues that exist. The delegitimization and figurative mechanisms used represent the actual cultural structure of meaning in Quraish Shihab and the puritanical and modernist-quasi-objective culture of understanding. The culture that is represented in the structure of meaning on social media shows another function of the representation of the Qur'an on Youtube as a medium of "storage" of culture that can be recognized through its explanation mechanism.Abstrak: Pemaknaan terhadap al-Qur’an yang berlangsung di media sosial hadir dalam bentuk penjelasan secara oral dan lebih dialektis. Quraish Shihab menghadirkan penafsiran terhadap al-Qur’an di Channel Youtube Najwa Shihab dengan memberikan respon terhadap pemahaman masyarakat terhadap al-Qur’an yang berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur budaya pemahaman dan pemaknaan yang tergambar pada Channel Youtube Najwa Shihab. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan content analysis sebagai perangkat analisa data. Sedangkan pencapaian analisa budaya dalam bahasa menggunakan pendekatan antropologi strukturalis yang dikenalkan Levi-Strauss. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penjelasan terhadap makna dilakukan melalui dua mekanisme; delegitimasi sebagai kritik atas pemahaman dan figuratif sebagai mekanisme pemaknaan yang relevan dengan pemahaman isu baru yang berkembang. Mekanisme delegitimasi dan figuratif yang digunakan merepresentasikan struktur budaya pemaknaan yang aktual pada diri Quraish Shihab dan budaya pemahaman yang puritan dan modernis-quasi-objektif. Penampakan budaya dalam struktur pemaknaan di media sosial menunjukkan fungsi lain dari representasi al-Qur’an di Youtube sebagai media penyimpanan budaya yang dapat dikenali melalui mekanisme penjelasannya.

City streets and squares have become centre stage for political change, in the wave of protests in Europe and the Middle East. Most protest locations are iconic sites of national resonance. Yet this was not the case in the summer 2011 wave of social protests in Israel. Rothschild Boulevard, which was the heart of the protest movement, is a non-iconic street usually associated with the good life of sushi and espresso bars and constant cycle traffic. This unusual choice contrasted sharply with Egypt’s Tahrir Square, Madrid’s Puerta del Sol and protest sites in Jerusalem – all associated with the politics of the nation. Yet it is exactly the lack of symbolic national resonance, and its down-to-earth association with urban joie de vivre, that enabled the Boulevard to assemble a broad and diverse coalition of protestors, and to transcend the exclusive language of politics in Israel. In a country where the national is identified with the ethnic (Jewish), the pedestrian symbolism of Rothschild allowed protestors to forge a civic language that appealed to Israel’s citizenry and residents, Jews and Arabs, local and migrants.

The Tunisian Berber (or Shilha) vernaculars are among the least described Afroasiatic (Hamito-Semitic) languages to this day. Although they have been provisionally assigned to the North-Berber group within the Berber branch of Afroasiatic, their immediate affiliation remains an open question. The principal task of this present work is to describe the phonology, morphology and syntax of Douiret. Less central to the aims of the study is the analysis of the basic wordstores of the three surviving Shilha varieties which include Douiret, Chninni (or Chenini) and Ouirsighen (Jerba). The Shilha variety of Douiret is chosen for this study because it still retains some fundamental elements of Berber structure which are not very dissimilar to other Berber languages such as Kabyle and Tamazight. The research shows that Tunisian Berber still survives today, but its future remains uncertain in the face of the forces of urbanisation, economic migration and lack of government support all of which may contribute hypothetically to its likely death. This study will be pursued with reference to the social and cultural context of the Tunisian Berber vernaculars. Research on the nature of language contact bewtween Tunisian Arabic and Shilha is practically non-existent and in this study, is a secondary concern. The strong influence of the local Arabic superstratum on Shilha in phonology, morphology, syntax and lexis is also investigated, as well as the presence of Berber elements in the distinctive Arabic dialect of Tunisia. As the thesis title suggests, this study should not be taken as the last word on Berber in Tunisia. The little available data on Berber in Tunisia makes the task harder in establishing a clear picture of its structure and relationship with other Berber languages such as Kabyle and Tamazight.

Le présent travail est une description linguistique du shiwa, une langue bantu du Nord-Est du Gabon.La thèse comporte trois parties précédées d’une introduction générale qui situe le shiwa et les Shiwa dans leur environnement géographique, sociolinguistique et socioculturel. Cette introduction présente également les données exploitées et les conditions de leur collecte.La partie phonétique et phonologie (phonématique et analyse tonale) est traitée dans l’optique fonctionnaliste. Le shiwa présente un grand nombre de réalisations phonétiques et un système phonologique complexe, six tons se réalisant sur plusieurs registres. La complexité phonétique est liée à la monosyllabisation. Elle engendre des consonnes complexes, palatalisées, labialisées, affriquées, des voyelles centralisées et nasalisées. Le système phonologique présente de multiples mécanismes de variations libres, combinatoires et contextuelles.La morphologie inspirée des méthodes de l’Ecole de Londres montre un système d’accord bantu classique avec, cependant, un nombre restreint de schèmes d’accord et de classes. La langue fait usage au singulier des mêmes préfixes pour l’ensemble des classes.Le lexique exploité compte 1104 termes, transcrits, segmentés, rangés selon la classe avec une référence les liant à l’annexe audio.Outre les éléments de description linguistique, la thèse comprend des fichiers sons. Ces fichiers sons comportent une partie des données collectées sur le terrain soit une dizaine d’heures d’enregistrements sur des lexiques spécialisés, des questionnaires et des récits
The present work is a linguistic description of the Shiwa, a Bantu language of northeastern Gabon. The thesis has three parts preceded by a general introduction. It places the Shiwa and Shiwa in their geographical, sociolinguistic and sociocultural environment. The introduction also presents the data used and the conditions of their collection.Phonetics and phonology part use the functionalist perspective. Shiwa has many phonetic realisations, a complex phonological system and six tones. Phonetic complexity is related to the monosyllabisation. It generates complex consonants, palatalized, labialized, affricates, centralized and nasalized vowels. The phonological system has multiple mechanisms of free, combinatorial and contextual variations.The morphology is based on the London School methods. It brings to light a system with classical Bantu agreements system. However, the language has few classes and agreements marks. It uses the same singular prefixes for all classes.The lexicon contain 1104 words, transcribed, segmented, classified by class and linking to the audio Annex.In addition to the elements of linguistic description, the thesis includes a sound data. This contain a part of data collected during our investigations: ten hours of recordings on specialized lexicons, questionnaires and stories

In this thesis, 9 Indo-Aryan languages which have previously been classified as Shina languages were analyzed. A cognate analysis of basic vocabulary was conducted, in order to explore the relatedness of the languages. Furthermore, a selection of phonological, morphological, syntactic, and lexical features was analyzed, in order to explore areal patterns among the languages. The data mainly consisted of first-hand data, which has been collected for the project ”Language contact and relatedness in the Hindu Kush region”, but even previous descriptions of the languages were used. The results primarily confirmed hypotheses about the relatedness of the Shina languages, and showed interesting areal patterns.The data also suggested that the Shina languages share many typical features with other Hindu Kush Indo-Aryan languages, such as SOV word order, the use of postpositions, sex based grammatical gender, and moderately complex to complex syllable structures. Other features, such as aspiration, retroflexion, and case alignment in noun phrases showed more variation and could certainly be relevant for future studies on these languages.
I den här uppsatsen har 9 indoariska språk som tidigare har klassificerats som shinaspråk analyserats. För att undersöka hur språken är besläktade med varandra har en kognatanalys av det grundläggande ordförrådet genomförts. Dessutom har ett urval fonologiska, morfologiska, syntaktiska, och lexikaladrag analyserats, i syfte att undersöka areala mönster hos språken. Datan för undersökningen bestod huvudsakligen av förstahandsdata, som har samlats in för projektet “Språkkontakt och släktskap i Hindukushregionen”, men även tidigare beskrivningar av språken har används. Resultaten bekräftade mestadels hypoteser om hur shinaspråken är besläktade med varandra, och visade intressanta areala mönster. Det visade sig att shinaspråken delar många drag med andra indoariska språk i Hindukushregionen, såsom SOV ordföljd, användning av postpositioner, grammatisk genus baserat på biologisk kön, och medelkomplexa till komplexa stavelsestrukturer. Andra drag, exempelvis aspiration, retroflexion,och kasuskongruens i nominalfraser, visade större variation och skulle kunna vara relevanta för framtida studier av dessa språk.

The present study investigates discourse markers in Dardic languages (Indo-Aryan; Pakistan), focusing on the discourse markers ba and ta in Palula in comparison with other languages of the region, particularly Dameli in which two markers with the same form and similar functions have been observed. The results showed that Palula ba functions as a topic-marker, in addition to other functions, whereas ta only signals subsequence, except in an adversative construction ta... ba. In Dameli, both ba and ta function as topic-markers, in addition to other functions such as ta marking subsequence, and the ta... ba construction functions similarly to Palula. Interestingly, Kalasha and Gawri showed some similarities, as both have a topic-marker surfacing as ta and tä respectively, which can be used in the adversative constructions ta... o and tä... i respectively, both of which have another marker as the second element. No other language in the sample was found to have a construction similar to the ta... ba construction nor a marker similar in form and function to ba, but all have a subsequence marker resembling ta. These results indicated that the Palula markers ba and ta are part of an areal phenomenon encompassing at least the Chitral, Panjkora and Swat valleys, where Palula originally only had the Shina subsequence marker and later adapted the Dameli system into the language.
Denna studie undersöker diskursmarkörer i dardiska språk (indoariska; Pakistan) med fokus på diskursmarkörer ba och ta i palula i jämförelse med andra språk i regionen, i synnerhet dameli i vilket två markörer med samma form och liknande funktion har observerats. Resultaten visade att palula ba fungerar som topikmarkör, tillsammans med andra funktioner, medan ta enbart signalerar subsekvens, förutom i den adversativa konstruktionen ta... ba. This study presents selected features in the phonology and grammar of Sauji, an Indo-Aryan language spoken in a village in the Kunar province in north-eastern Afghanistan. Sauji belongs to a cluster of (western) Shina languages - a subgroup of the Hindukush Indo-Aryan languages, which are spoken in large parts of northernmost Pakistan, north-eastern Afghanistan, and the disputed Kashmir region. As many languages in the Hindukush region, Sauji is largely underdescribed, hence the aim of this study was to provide a grammar sketch of the language, based on materials from field trips to the region. The results were compared to the closest related languages, to put the language into a broader context. Sauji is generally very similar to its closest linguistic relative, Palula, but also shows clear influence of Gawarbati, another Indo-Aryan language, on its phonology, lexicon, and some grammatical features.
Denna studie presenterar ett urval av fonologiska och grammatiska drag i sauji, ett indoariskt språk som talas i en by i Kunarprovinsen i nordöstra Afghanistan. Sauji tillhör ett kluster av shinaspråk, som är en undergrupp av de hindukush-indoariska språken som talas i stora delar av nordligaste Pakistan, nord-östra Afghanistan och det omstridda Kashmirområdet. I likhet med många av språken i denna region är sauji knapphändigt beskrivet och därför är målet med den här studien att bidra med en grammatikskiss. Studien är baserat på data som har samlats in under fältarbete i regionen. Resultaten jämfördes med de närmast besläktade språken för att undersöka språket i en bredare kontext. Sauji är i stora drag väldigt likt palula, det närmast besläktade språket, men det har också visat sig att fonologin, lexikonet och även vissa grammatiska drag har påverkats mycket av gawarbati, ett annat indoariskt språk som talas i omgivningen.

We study the expansions of the elements in S(ℝ+d) and S'(ℝ+d) with respect to the Laguerre orthonormal basis. As a consequence, we obtain the Schwartz kernel theorem for S(ℝ+d) and S'(ℝ+d). Also we give the extension theorem of Whitney type for S(ℝ+d). Next, we consider the G-type spaces i.e. the spaces Gαα(ℝ+d), α≥1  and their dual spaces which can be described as analogous to the Gelfand-Shilov spaces and their dual spaces. Actually, we show the exist-ence of the topological isomorphism between the G-type spaces and the subspaces of the Gelfand-Shilov spaces Sα/2α/2(ℝd), α≥1 consisting of "even" functions. Next, we show that the Fourier Laguerre coecients of the elements in the G-type spaces and their dual spaces characterize these spaces through the exponential and sub-exponentia l growth of the coecients. We provide the full topological description and the kernel theorem is proved. Also two structural theorems for the dual spaces of G-type spaces are obtained. Furthemore, we dene the new class of the Weyl pseudo-dierential operators with radial symbols belonging to the G-type spaces and their dual spaces. The continuity properties of this class of pseudo-dierential operators over the Gelfand-Shilov type spaces and their duals are proved. In this way the class of the Weyl pseudo-dierential operators is extended to the one with the radial symbols with the exponential and sub-exponential growth rate.
Proučavamo razvoje elemenata iz S(ℝ+d) i S'(ℝ+d) preko Lagerove ortonormirane baze. Kao posledicu dobijamo Švarcovu teoremu o jezgru za preko Lagerove ortonormirane baze. Kao posledicu dobijamo Švarcovu teoremu o jezgru za S(ℝ+d) i S'(ℝ+d). Takođe, pokazujemo i Teoremu Vitnijevog tipa za S(ℝ+d) . Zatim, posmatramo prostore G-tipa i.e. prostore Gαα(ℝd), α ≥ 1 i njihove duale koji su analogni sa Geljfand-Šilovim prostorima i njihovim dualima. Zapravo, pokazujemo da postoji topološki izomorfizam između prostora G-tipa i potprostora Geljfand-Šilovih prostora Sα/2α/2(ℝd), α ≥ 1 koji sadrže "parne" funkcije. Dalje, dokazujemo da Furije Lagerovi koeficijenti elemenata iz prostora G-tipa i njihovih duala karakterišu ove prostore kroz eksponencijalni i sub-eksponencijalni rast tih koeficijenata. Opisujemo topološku strukturu ovih prostora i dajemo Švarcovu teoremu o jezgru. Takođe, dve strukturalne teoreme za duale prostora G-tipa su dobijene. Dalje, definišemo novu klasu Vejlovih pseudo-diferencijalnih operatora sa radijalnim simbolima koji se nalaze u prostorima G-tipa i njihovim dualima. Pokazana je neprekidnost ove klase Vejlovih pseudo-diferencijalnih operatora na prostorima Geljfand-Šilova i na njihovim dualima. Na ovaj način klasa Vejlovih pseudo-diferencijalnih operatora je proširena na radijalne simbole koji imaju eksponencijalni i sub-eksponencijalni rast.

In complex clause constructions, the dependent clause can either precede or succeed the main clause. In a study on a selection of Indo-Aryan languages spoken on the Indian subcontinent (Hook 1987), a gradual transition between pre- and postposing languages was found, when moving from the southeast to the northwest in the area. In their relative vicinity in the Hindukush area, a sub-group of Indo-Aryan languages are spoken, commonly known by the tentative term “Dardic”. These languages are said to mainly have the dependent clause preceding the main clause (left-branching), and that this feature is shared by the neighbouring languages. This would mean a breach with the continuum described by Hook. In the present comparative study on the Dardic languages spoken in northern Pakistan, complex clauses of adverbial and complement types were studied in an attempt to confirm this proposition. The languages were found to have two competing branching structures where the indigenous, dominating left-branching structure possibly is being challenged by an imported right branching pattern, especially in complement clauses, possibly due to Persian or Urdu influence. A similar transition between more left-branching languages towards languages with a higher degree of right branching structures were found when moving from east to west in the geographical area studied.
I underordnande satskonstruktioner kan bisatsen antingen föregå eller följa på huvudsatsen. I en studie på ett urval indoariska språk som talas på den indiska subkontinenten (Hook 1987) fann man en gradvis skiftning mellan språk med bisatsen till vänster om huvudsatsen (vänsterställda), via språk som tillät båda placeringar av bisatsen, till språk som enbart hade bisatsen till höger om huvudsatsen (högerställda). Detta när man rörde sig från sydöstra Indien i riktning mot nordväst. I Hindukush-området, inte allt för långt ifrån denna region, talas en undergrupp av indoariska språk som länge gått under den provisoriska termen ”dardiska” språk. Om dessa språk har det hävdats att de har bisatsen till vänster om huvudsatsen, ett drag som också ska delas med närliggande språk i området. Om detta stämmer skulle det innebära en brytning av det kontinuum Hook beskrev. I denna jämförande studie på några indo-ariska språk som talas i norra Pakistan studerades underordnade adverbiala och nominala bisatser i ett försök att utreda om dessa verkligen är vänsterställda. Språken befanns ha två konkurrerande placeringsmönster där en inhemsk och starkt dominerande vänsterställd struktur eventuellt håller på att utmanas av en importerad högerställd struktur, särskilt i nominala objektsatser, som möjligen kommit in i språken via inflytande från persiska eller urdu. Ett kontinuum liknande Hooks mellan språk med primärt vänsterställda bisatser till språk med en allt högre andel högerställda bisatser hittades i en rörelse från öst till väst i området.

Abstract Sociological approaches to ethnicity variously emphasize types of domination (Mason 1970), religious orientations (Hoetinck 1972; Van den Berghe 1978), or processes of acculturation (Glazer 1983). Parsons (1975) and Shils (1956) describe deethnicization as a necessary development. Ethnic identity may, however, survive through symbolic tokens (Gans 1979), ultimately accounted for by the political profitability of ethnic mobilization (Bell 1975; Barth 1969), or the social support that ethnic communities are able to offer their members (Glazer and Moynihan 1975), but a connection between ethnicity and class is explained in terms of the ethnics’ predispositions to modernity (Lenski 1972), discrimination (Simpson and Yinger 1958), power relations (Kuper 1965), or competition between subordinate groups (Bonacich 1980). Ethnic boundaries, primarily defined by primordial attributes, compete with societal identification, though when ethnic groups become socially heterogeneous by mobility, they may undergo heterogenization of ethnic consciousness as well. The better-off have more contacts with outsiders and tend to acculturate and assimilate to the dominant culture more than others (Burgess 1978; Lal 1983). Yet ethnics also react to dominant cultures, which, on their own, encourage either pluralism or uniformity (Tabory and Lazerwitz 1983; Hoetinck 1972; Van den Berghe 1978).

Objective: To identify the level of communicative skills of children with congenital heart disease submitted to cardiac surgeries, corrective or not, through the behavioral observation protocol – PROC. Methods: This is an analytical observational study with a quantitative approach. The research participants were 15 children with congenital heart disease, who had undergone some type of cardiac surgery, who were in the age group of 24 to 48 months, and were hospitalized in the pediatric unit or in outpatient medical care at the Hospital do Coração de Messejana Dr. Carlos Alberto Studart Gomes, excluding those who had any associated syndrome. For data collection, two instruments were used, the Behavioral Observation Protocol (PROC), already validated, and a questionnaire to outline the sociodemographic profile of the child and his/her guardian. Descriptive statistics were adopted for data analysis. Results: Children with congenital heart disease submitted to surgical procedures have alterations in the language acquisition process, most of them in the initial sensorimotor phase. Conclusion: The present study was promising as it allowed us to understand and identify the delays in linguistic development caused by heart disease, facilitating the referral for early intervention, in order to detect, prevent or minimize the impairment of linguistic aspects.

In this article, it has been revealed that Sheikh Zahid Gilani and his student Sheikh Safieddin wrote rubai in Talish language in addition to Persian, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Kurdish and Gilak languages. Despite the fact that Sheikh Zahid Gilani propagated the ideology of the Sunni Shafei sect, one of his students, Sheikh Safieddin and others, created the "Alawi", "Bekdashi" and "Aliallahi" sects of the Shia movement, and it was determined that they founded the Shia states by spreading the Shia ideology. In addition, as a result of the research, not one, but several different dates of birth of Sheikh Zahid Gilani were revealed. Also according to this article, besides being a well-known cleric, Sheikh Zahid Gilani was also involved in farming, shipping and other fields.
