Communication skills in students is one of the important assets to improving the soft skills of conveying messages to others. The things that support a student to convey messages well are the ability to understand information well, and the ability to convey the message back to other parties. This also applies when someone is studying a foreign language, especially Japanese. If we do not have good communication skills, the information will not be conveyed properly. This study aims to describe the Japanese language communication skills of students in the Japanese Language Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Semarang. This communication capability is carried out in the form of Saiwa activities or retelling information or news that has been listened. The research methodology used is to use self-help activities or retelling the news that students have listened. To measure this ability is done by means of presentation tests and interview tests. Based on the results of the presentation capability assessment, it can be seen that The average value of the interview results for the samples "fair" category. The average value of the acquisition of the results retelling information on the entire sample is "more than enough" category.

The Luo are a Nilotic people living in western Kenya, north-eastern Tanzania and in western Uganda. Their language, Dholuo, forms part of the Western Nilotic group of languages. This article presents the traditional kincepts (kinship terminology) of the Luo people as described by elders living in Central Sakwa location, Siaya County, western part of Kenya. The kincepts for consanguine as well as affine relatives in up to three ascending and five descending generations are described. The paper applies a combined linguistic and anthropological approach. Linguistically, the terms are analysed in relation to current Dholuo vocabulary, grammar and modes of expression. Anthropologically, the Luo kinship rules of patrilineality and virilocality are considered. The domain of kincepts is a research field bringing together linguistics, anthropology and history. It contributes to the inquiry of diachronic linguistics, which can provide insights on the development and interaction of related languages as well as population groups’ migratory patterns not least in parts of the world where written historical sources are scarce.

The Mufassirins have done many interpretations of the Quran, with the various methods they use. One of the sciences that supports the interpretation of the Qur'an is the science of Balaghah. Balaghah serves to explain the meaning contained in the Arabic language used by the Quran. Balaghah also plays a role in the beauty contained in a verse. The book of Shafwatut Tafasir was written by Sheikh Ali Ash-Shabuni, one of the supporting aspects in its interpretation is Balaghah. This article will discuss the analysis of the balaghah of surah al-Qari'ah in the book of Shafwatut Tafasir. Surah al-Qari'ah generally discusses the Day of Judgment. This article aims to discuss the depth of meaning and beauty of language in the surah al-Qari'ah by referring to the book of Shafwatut Tafasir. And with this article, it is hoped that Muslims will become more acquainted with the science of interpretation and understand the Quran well by referring to the interpretation of the Mufasirins. So, that Muslims avoid misunderstandings and can use the Quran as a guide for life and can achieve happiness in this world and the hereafter.

This study aims to develop taman satwa diorama media to increase students' learning interest, determine the feasibility level of taman satwa diorama media, and determine the level of students’ learning interest in science subjects class V MI Thoriqotul Hidayah Bulutigo after using taman satwa diorama media in learning activities. This type of research is research and development (R&D) used the ADDIE development model. The sample in this study were fifth grade students, totaling 10 students. The data collection technique in this study were questionnaires and documentation. The analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of research and development of taman satwa diorama media showed that taman satwa diorama media were appropriate to be used as learning media in fifth grade students in science subjects to increase students' learning interest. This could be seen from the results of the validation test of media experts by 91%, material experts by 82%, language experts by 88%, practitioners (teachers) by 100%, and from the results of field trials by 97.4% which showed very valid criteria. Based on the results of the data analysis of students' learning interest questionnaires, there was a significant difference in the initial and final students' learning interest with the acquisition of an average score which was initially only 55% with the moderate category increasing to 93% with the very high category. Thus it could be concluded that taman satwa diorama media can increase students' learning interest in science subjects of fifth grade students at MI Thoriqotul Hidayah Bulutigo for the 2022/2023 academic year.

This essay explores the film collaborations of Franco-Egyptian filmmaker Safaa Fathy and Franco-Maghrebian philosopher Jacques Derrida, offering an extended reading of their court-métrage, Nom à la mer (2004)—a film about language, exile, and loss, made by a pair of wanderers both keenly interested in the spectral effects of translation as they haunt the filmic medium. Nom à la mer is a cinematic rendering of the French translation of Fathy's original, Arabic-language poem, recited by Derrida in voice-off as Fathy's camera focuses on a single, highly overdetermined site in a small Andalusian town. This essay reads the film as both an artefact of the pathos of translation and as a scene of valediction, played out by both collaborators on grounds simultaneously intimate and historical.

The Qur'anic language is unrivalled in its validity of meaning and declaration. Each symbol and phrase has its location while and the language is free from flawless. These special attributes are found demonstrate in the use of one single letter or a preposition. The inexplicable characteristic of the Quranic language are not limited to the validity of its words and symbol or to their adequacy of meaning. Arabic rhetoric is classified into three with called المعاني ,البیان ,an البدیع..The tafseer under review is called Safwat al-Tafaseer.This tafseer has been compiled by the famous 21century religious scholar Muhammad Ali Al-Sabouni with his many years of hard work and struggle.While there are numerous commentaries and lexical points in thistafseer, numerous virtues of rhetoric have also been mentioned. Therefore, this short article of ours refers to the rhetorical discourses and methods mentioned in this Tafseer which have been brought in to create beauty in the Quranic verses.Although the subject of our PhD Research is the rhetorical points contained in the entire Tafseer, in this short article we will confine ourselves to the points of the early surahs of the Tafseer

Media sosial banyak dimanfaatkan masyarakat dalam memperoleh informasi, demikian juga lembaga pemerintahan, banyak yang menggunakan media sosial dalam menyebarkan informasi. Salah satunya adalah Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) melalui halaman Facebook fanpage-nya. Informasi yang diberikan pada umumnya berbentuk teks atau video dan gambar disertai penjelasan teks. Untuk itu,penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik informasi tekstual terhadap ketertarikan minat pengunjung pada halaman Facebook fanpage KLHK. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara melakukan scraping dan dilanjutkan pemrosesan bahasa alamiah (Natural Language Processing) untuk mengetahui karakteristik teks. Minat masyarakat diukur berdasarkan likes, shares, dan comments, dan disusun ke dalam klaster dengan metode Kmeans. Frekuensi kata yang sering muncul pada setiap klaster di analisis menggunakan similaritas cosine agar dapat dilakukan inferensi sesuai dengan domain KLHK. Relabeling dilakukan untuk menarik inferensi pada klaster yang terbentuk. Penelitian yang dilakukan dapat membentuk empat klaster. Klaster-klaster tersebut adalah klaster pengelolaan sumber daya alam nasional, pelestarian satwa liar, kegiatan pelestarian satwa liar,dan tim konservasi. Minat masyarakat tertinggi terdapat pada klaster pelestarian satwa liar yang ditunjukan dengan jumlah likes terbanyak. Sedangkan klaster yang paling banyak dibagikan dan dikomentari adalah klaster tim konservasi. Informasi yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini dapat digunakan oleh lembaga terkait dalam meningkatkan dan mengembangkan penyebaran informasi melalui media sosial.

There is a consensus in the literature that higher exports are associated with increased economic growth, productivity, and employment. This paper attempts to analyze India’s export potential in the South Asian region following the South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA) agreement. Using panel data, an augmented gravity model analysis is employed for the period from 2004 to 2021. The analysis finds a positive and significant effect of trading countries’ gross domestic product (GDP) on India’s total exports, whereas the effect of the per capita GDP differential between the countries is negative. This paper does not find any significant effect of distance, border, or common language on India’s total exports. The study also finds that from 2004 to 2021, India’s average export potential was positive with three countries (Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Maldives) and negative with four countries (Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bhutan). India had the highest export potential with Pakistan during this period. The study suggests that India must raise its exports to those South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member nations where it has not been able to export in accordance with its potential and explore trade opportunities with other countries in Asia, Europe, and North America. In this context, it is crucial to focus on trade and infrastructural reforms to boost India’s exports.

This study aims to describe the identity crisis of Diaspora people (Arab -American) in "Laila Halaby's" novel "Once in A promise Land". Halaby tackles the issues of racism, exclusion, and instability of identity that affect the Arab American community after the terrorist event of eleventh of September. She sheds light on the experiences of her significant characters Salwa and Jassim in America, clarifying how this event weakened their social position and made their presence in America questionable. "Halaby" describes the bitterness of her characters who are induced into a dream of belonging to a land that dismisses their original culture and religious values as well as their language. "Halaby" explains the subsistence in America involving challenges to face the harassment and verbal transgression. She reveals the failure of Salwa and Jassim to transcend the policy of fear and aggressive acts of America which help in dispersing them.

This study examines the pragmatic functions of the marker sawa in spoken Swahili. The data have been obtained from informal conversations made by Swahili speakers in informal social settings. These settings include “vijiwe vya kahawa” (setting of informal conversations created around people drinking coffee) and “vijiwe vya mamantilie” (setting of informal conversations created around women preparing and selling food on the streets). The analysis of the data, performed within the framework of the contextualization theory (Gumperz 1982), shows that, apart from its basic connotation of agreement, the marker sawa conveys other meanings, depending on these very contexts of communication, and therefore acquires also various pragmatic functions. The pragmatic functions identified in this work include: to show that the speaker agrees with what has been said but on a condition (I agree, but…), as a receipt marker, as a tag-positioned-comprehension check, as an answer to the question showing that the speaker has understood what has been said (Yes, I understand), as a continuer, as a negative releasing marker, and as a gap filler. Interestingly, the study shows also that intonation and other paralinguistic features (like gestures) play a role in determining the pragmatic functions of this marker. The article concludes that the pragmatic markers in spoken Swahili are rich in meanings and are used to show speakers’ attitudes and emotions, therefore manifesting a deep and meaningful interconnection between the language and its contextualized experience.

Most of the Western writers, especially when they come to compare the English modal verbs with their equivalents in Arabic, claim that there are no modal verbs in Arabic (see, for example, Swan and Smith's (1987) Learner English: A Teacher's Guide to Interference and other Problems). There are probably two reasons why they make this assumption. The first one is that modality in Arabic has not yet attracted much attention from either Arabic or Western linguists. The second is the scarcity of information about these modal forms in Arabic grammar books. Arabic does have different realizations at the level of form for 'modal' meanings, e.g. as verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and particles. But these verbal and non-verbal forms do not form a distinct, formally recognizable set of modal forms, as is the case with the English modals. The result is that discussions of them are scattered throughout different chapters of the traditional Arabic grammar books. (This is possibly a third reason that has led some writers claim that there are no modal verbs in Arabic). But, whether they are verbs, adjectives, or particles, these forms express a wide range of 'modal' meanings (see Abunowara, 1996). This paper shows that the two particles sa- and sawfa, beside their meaning as future markers, can cover a range of volitional and prediction meanings if they are used in different contexts..

Abstract This study explores five Swahili discourse-pragmatic features – ati/eti, yaani, pole, sasa and sawa – which are borrowed from Swahili into Kenyan and Tanzanian Englishes, with a view to investigating their meanings, frequencies, positioning, collocational patterns, syntactic distribution and discourse-pragmatic functions. The data, which are extracted from the International Corpus of English-East Africa and the Kenyan and Tanzanian components of the corpus of Global Web-based English, are analysed quantitatively and qualitatively, from a variational and postcolonial corpus pragmatic framework. The study reveals that the Swahili discourse-pragmatic features occur more frequently in the Kenyan corpora than in the Tanzanian corpora, except in the case of sasa, which occurred with the same frequency in the online corpus. The paper identifies ati/eti as an attention marker, a quotative marker, a hearsay marker, an inferential marker, and an emotive interjection, yaani as an emphasis and elaborative marker, while pole is an attitudinal marker that expresses sympathy and sarcasm. While sasa is only an attention marker, sawa is an agreement and attention marker. The paper shows that these borrowed discourse-pragmatic features contribute to the distinctive nature of East African Englishes.

Iluminaciones en la sombra (1910) se publicó póstumamente un año después de la muerte de Alejandro Sawa (1862-1909). El presente trabajo propone analizar su carácter de diario personal con entidad literaria, algo que no ha ocurrido con frecuencia y que puede ayudar a su asentamiento canónico. Se ha definido Iluminaciones en la sombra, así, como un libro de ensayos, un libro de crónicas, un libro misceláneo a secas e incluso como una novela, y solo algunos especialistas lo han catalogado como un diario. Un análisis que permita una definición más clara sobre su naturaleza literaria y autobiográfica puede dar cuenta de su importancia en la constitución de un nuevo género en el contexto español. Iluminaciones en la sombra (1910) was published posthumously one year after the death of Alejandro Sawa (1862-1909). The present work proposes to analyze its character as a personal diary with a literary entity. This can affect the canonical consideration of this work. Iluminaciones en la sombra has been defined as a book of essays, a book of chronicles, a miscellaneous book or a novel; only some specialists have cataloged it as a personal diary. This article aims to clarify the literary and autobiographical nature of this work, with the objective of confirming its importance in the constitution of a new genre in the Spanish context.

Proses pentranskripsian teks menggunakan pencatatansecara fonetik dengansistem International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). Hasil transkripsi dan terjemahan kemudiandiolah dengan komputer menggunakan program shoebox untuk menghasilkan database daninterlinear text. Hasil penlitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, kearifan lokal teknologi tangkapikan tradisional (acar, paca”, ginte”, mukat, jala, tubay, dan bubu). The text transcribingprocess used the phonetic transcription with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)system. The transcription and translation results were computerized using the shoeboxprogram to generate the data base and interlinear text. The results of the study are asfollows. El presente estudio se propone establecer un parentesco estético entre Nuevo mundo (1895-1896), de Miguel de Unamuno, y Declaración de un vencido (1887), de Alejandro Sawa. A fin de cotejar ambos textos, se propone un esquema de análisis que toma en consideración tres criterios: el argumento, la enunciación y la concepción del personaje de las dos novelas. Paralelamente, se establece un modelo de la novela modernista, fruto de la confrontación de la producción narrativa española con la novela modernista europea y, en menor medida, hispanoamericana. El método adoptado permite constatar que ambos textos cuentan la historia de un artista frustrado (héroe decadente) y acuden a una perspectiva narrativa virada deliberadamente hacia el interior de los personajes. Al recurrir a personajes que combinan su condición de escritores con la actividad periodística, Sawa y Unamuno ponen en escena una búsqueda de fundamentación de la posición del artista/intelectual en una realidad cambiante y caótica, regida por las leyes del mercado, búsqueda que encontramos en gran número de novelas modernistas europeas e hispánicas.

Let us rewind a few decades to a time when educators had very few tools at their disposal in the classroom. What was the outcome of that? A teacher had to go to a lot of trouble to secure the supplies he required for his classroom. Assuming that technology can simply be used for presentations is misleading when considering its potential to enhance the learning process. Teachers should view technology as a means through which they and their students may more quickly and efficiently gain access to relevant information. Teachers and students alike may do everything from accessing library materials to conducting virtual experiments to collaborating with subject matter experts to recording courses to organizing curriculum to taking virtual field excursions. In the classroom context, preparing for some of these activities may take weeks. As a result, many educators don't bother with them, despite the fact that their students would benefit much from them.

Hip Hop has been a cultural wave creating and modifying the revolution started in the 1970s by Black people against systemic oppression, and while it manifests itself as a commodified narrativization against racism, sexism and other equally troublesome oppressive ideologies, it becomes a site for change through ethnographic performativity. Spoken Word poets have used this tool to bring marginal narratives to the center and challenge the heteropatriarchal lens, misogynoir and racist practices all around the world. Spoken word poetry has not been researched analytically or theoretically much previously, and even when it was, the research and statistics were limited to the technical aspects of performance. This paper deals with the idea of culture being a site for performance, and simultaneously performance being the action that precedes stereotypes and false representations of marginalized cultures throughout the global north. The spoken word poets use the stage as a liminal space for a multiplicity of cultures to thrive, and challenge the oppressive tools, including that of language, clothing, and voice used by mainstream cultures to oppress the said communities, and normalize their own traditions and morals. The paper reveals the performative tactics used by spoken word poets in order to deinstitutionalize systems of power, and establish a counter narrative of their own as a form of revolution.

Ethnozoology is a branch of ethnobiology, namely the relationship between humans and the use of animals in the surrounding environment and is a link between human culture and the animals in their environment. The Mali Dayak community in Angan Tembawang Village, Jelimpo District is one of the Dayak sub-tribes located in Landak Regency which has a characteristic that distinguishes it from other Dayak tribes, one of which is its language. The Malian Dayak people are also very closely related to nature, where their lives are very dependent on nature. The purpose of this study was to record the types of animals used for traditional and mystical rituals. This study uses a snowball sampling technique, which is a method for identifying, selecting and taking samples in a network or continuous chain of relationships. The number of people who became respondents as many as 10 people. The data presented in the form of qualitative descriptive. The results showed that there were 8 species from 8 families and 4 classes, namely mammals, aves, pisces and insects which were used for traditional and mystical rituals by the Mali Dayak community. The parts of animals that are used are flesh, blood, fur and the whole body. Masyarakat Dayak Mali juga sangat erat hubungan nya dengan alam, dimana hidup mereka sangat tergantung pada alam. Tujuan penelitian ini mendata jenis-jenis satwa yang dimanfaatkan untuk ritual adat dan mistis. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik snowball sampling yaitu suatu metode untuk mengidentifikasi, memilih dan mengambil sampel dalam suatu jaringan atau rantai hubungan yang terus menerus. Jumlah masyarakat yang dijadikan responden sebanyak 10 orang. Data yang disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian terdapat 8 spesies dari 8 famili dan 4 kelas yaitu mamalia, aves, pisces dan insecta yang dimanfaatkan untuk ritual adat dan mistis oleh masyarakat Dayak Mali. This research aims to ensure the active role of the Bagak Sahwa village community in making decisions on tourism by using the environmental area to obtain a fair share of income from tourism activities. Bagak Sahwa tourism village is expected to implement Community Based Tourism (CBT) effectively. However, the implementation by the local community has not been conducted as mandated in Law No. 10 of 2009. In some cases, it can even lead to community conflicts. The results showed that community participation in developing the tourism village potential was still low. The low quality of human resources also influenced this situation, and the resident-focused more on the agricultural sector. The road access is in poor shape, insufficient facilities, and infrastructure supporting tourism activities, the promotion of tourism objects is still deficient, and the quality and quantity of human resources are still low. The Social Entrepreneur model’s presence has impacted a shift in society’s perspective socially and economically. However, the Village community still upholds their ancestors’ language and behavior patterns. The administrators involving the local community transmit knowledge based on these findings. Therefore, the local community is educated to actively participate in developing the village. They can collaborate with new things by involving millennials in tourism village activities to maintain local culture and wisdom.

The international trade of Pakistan is highly concentrated on a few goods and markets. This study investigates macroeconomic behaviour of trade flow and explores potential trade markets for Pakistan using an augmented gravity model on a large panel of 47 cross-sections from 1980 to 2013. The result of standard gravity variables shows consistent findings with statistically significant t-statistics, whereas augmented variables reveal that relative price has a positive impact with lower price elasticity. The result of binary variables shows that Pakistan’s trade is more with countries having the same language, whereas lower trade is observed with bordering countries. The result of South Asian Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA) revealed ineffectiveness of regional integration on the creation of trade for Pakistan, whereas, bilateral free trade agreements (BFTAs) have created considerable trade. The finding of trade potential revealed exhausted potential with major trading partners and there is a need for greater trade diversification from exhausted to potential countries. It has higher untapped potential with Nepal, Iraq, India, Philippines and Jordan, respectively, in Asia, whereas European countries have the highest potential. The results concluded that Pakistan can diversify its trade from exhausted to potential countries through individual BFTAs and multilateral free trade agreements. South Asian countries should address their disputes and revisit SAFTA aiming to improve regional trade and growth.

ABSTRACT This study aims at investigating the perceptions of students at Kanjuruhan University of Malang about the use of songs as supplementary materials in understanding the meanings of figurative language such as metaphor, hyperbole, personification, etc. This study employed a mixed-methods approach. The data were collected through questionnaire, video-recording and focus-group discussion. The participants of this study were 30 students attending vocabulary class in the third semester. The results of this data analysis showed that most of the students (85%) have positive attitudes towards the use of songs as considerable media to help them understand the meanings of figurative language and improve their motivation in learning English. It is hoped that English lecturers will use songs as one of interesting techniques in teaching figurative language, so that students will be more interested in analyzing figurative language using authentic-based materials. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara rinci bagaimana pembelajaran bahasa kiasan (figurative language) seperti metafora, hiperbola, personifikasi, dsb agar dapat lebih mudah dimengerti oleh para mahasiswa, melalui media lagu sebagai materi tambahan (supplementary materials). Metode penelitian ini adalah mixed-method. Peneliti menggunakan beberapa instrumen penelitian yaitu kuesioner, observasi, rekaman video dan juga focus- group discussion yang dilakukan pada para participant yaitu 30 mahasiswa semester tiga yang menempuh mata kuliah Vocabulary pada jurusan pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasanya para mahasiswa (85%) memiliki persepsi dan sikap yang positif terhadap penggunaan lagu dalam pembelajaran Figurative language. Pembelajaran dengan menggunaan media lagu ini juga dapat meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa dalam mempelajari Figurative language. Penelitian ini secara teori dapat menambah variasi metode pembelajaran Figurative language sehingga diharapkan para dosen pengajar mata kuliah vocabulary serta mata kuliah Intro to literature (pendekatan sastra) dapat menerapkan metode ini didalam kelas sehingga dapat meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing melalui media otentik seperti lagu. The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region is an important player in the world agriculture trade. They have vast potential to strengthen their position in global agricultural trade due to theregion's opportunities to increase agricultural production combined with growing global demand. To discover the SAARC potential of agricultural trade patterns, the present paper examines the determinants of bilateral agricultural exports from 2000 to 2019. The gravity model was estimated by employing the Poisson Pseudo Maximum Likelihood (PMML) technique, including zero trade flows for panel data. The results confirm the positive and significant impact of exporter gross domestic product (GDP), importer GDP, Broder, common language, South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA), and India-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (ISFTA) on bilateral agricultural trade inthe SAARC region. On the other hand, distance and development levels significantly negatively impact bilateral agricultural trade. Lastly, the study showed an insignificant impact of the bilateral exchange rate.

English version The contribution of gestures on meaning has attracted attention of many scholars (c.f Goodwin, 1986; Mc Neill, 1992; Kendon, 2004; Kidwell, 2013; Müller, 2013; Zhi-pheng 2014). Many researches dealt on its contributions in English language. However, its contributions specifically on Swahili has been given less or no attention. As noted by Kendon (2004) and Zhi-pheng (2014) that the intepretation of gestures can yield different intepretations from one culture to another. The current article investigates the contributions of gestures on meaning in Swahili. Pragmatic markers (henceforth PMs) eh, sawa, mh, and ah have been used as case study. Data was obtained from ‘vijiwe vya kahawa’ (setting of informal conversations created around people drinking coffee) and ‘vijiwe vya mamantilie’ (setting of informal conversations created around women preparing and selling food on the streets. The analysis was done using Social Semiotic Approach under Multimodality Theory by Kress (2010). The results indicate that gestures contribute to the meaning-making. It was observed that various gestures (such as facial expressions, eye gaze, mouth, head and hand movements) were used in conjunctions with uttering the PMs hence helped to convey their meanings. Generally, the article concludes that spoken Swahili is rich in meanings complemented by the contributions of gestures. Thus, the current study calls for more researches on gestures in Kiswahili since they play a big role in the sense-making process. Data zimekusanywa kutoka katika mazungumzo yasiyo rasmi yanayofanywa na wazungumzaji wa Kiswahili katika vijiwe vya kahawa na vya mamantilie. Uchambuzi wa data umeongozwa na Nadharia ya Njianyingi za Mawasiliano kwa kutumia mkabala wa Semiotiki Jamii wa Kress (2010). T H E CONFLUENCE OF THE WRITING OF EASTERN, CENTRAL LITHUANIA, AND LITHUANIA MINOR IN REFORMER BOOKS ON RELIGIOUS DIDACTICS FROM 1863 TO 1865 The article looks into five books on religious didactics published by the Calvinists in Eisleben in 1863–1865: Atsiminimas da geroje adijnoje, Nusidawimas biedna Joniuka, Prisiwertimas grieszna żmogaus ing Diewą, Wartojmas arba meginimas patis sawę and Gromata Naszłaitela ing sawa mieła Iszganitoja, which bibliographers and historians claim to have been written by Alexander Raphael Moczulski. A textological analysis has revealed Prisiwertimas not to have been drafted by Moczulski. This is evidenced in the differences in the spelling and the language of the texts covered by the analysis, the mismatched hypernormalisms, and the specific characteristics of the edits made to Biblical quotes and hymns. Certain qualities of the language in Prisiwertimas demonstrate that, unlike Moczulski, the editor of this text was under the influence of both the subdialect of Biržai and the subdialects of the northern Panevėžys region further to the west. Furthermore, Prisiwertimas features a much larger number of unique morphological forms not recorded elsewhere, which indirectly reflect the typical truncation of the ending of the Panevėžys subdialect and the resultant uncertainty on the editor’s part with regard to how certain parts of the text were to be written.

This article centers around the figure of Peyami Safa, a classic of Turkish literary modernism, and particularly around his creative activities that have not yet received enough attention in Turkish studies in Russia, especially his contribution into Turkish mass (popular) literature. Under examination is the story “A Young Girl Among The Bektashi”, which combines erotic, detective, and gothic plot lines. The story was published in 1927 under the name Server Bedi, a widely known pseudonym of Peyami Safa. In this work he manifests as a writer extremely sensitive to the political situation, to government ideology, and to state policy. A decree aimed at secularization of the state was issued in Turkey in 1925, according to which dervishes’ tekkes were to be closed. Even though the struggle against “popular” forms of Islam started much earlier, in the late 19th century, when Sultan Mahmud II took steps to eradicate the Bektashi Order of dervishes, the Republican government was still in need of legitimizing its activities at all levels and in all forms of social influencing, including such media as literature and fiction. To further discredit the Alevi and Bektashi religious minorities, Peyami Safa builds his story around (and actively uses) various misconceptions about dervishes’ customs, rituals, and religious practices, misconceptions that were purported and widely circulated among the Sunni Turks. The novelty of the paper lies in the fact that it gives the fullest biography of the writer available in Russian, which, in turn, reveals major underlying reasons that determined the author’s choice of narrative strategies. Due to Peyami Safa’s personal features that were exacerbated by a serious disease he suffered, he failed to create a literary piece of mass literature of the same high quality which characterizes modernism writings created under his own name.

The purpose of this study was to identify Vertebrate animals of the Mammal class, order artiodactyla, family Cervidae in the Jurug Surakarta taru Animal Park, develop interactive video media as a result of identification of vetebrata animals into learning media, know the quality of interactive video media based on assessment by material experts, media experts and biology teachers, and applications in learning. The research method uses an observation method by making direct observations of vertebrate species. The instrument for assessing the quality of interactive video media is based on material aspects and presentation aspects, with a qualitative descriptive analysis design. The results of this study indicate that in Taru Jurug Animal Park Surakarta there are 3 species of animals namely Cervus unicolor, Cervus timorensis, Axis-axis and all three have been identified. Research on the identification of vertebrate animals, especially the mammalian class, order artiodactyla, and the cervidae family can be used for the preparation of interactive video media with material on Biodiversity at the level of genes and species. The quality of interactive video media in terms of material aspects, presentation, and language. Assessment of material experts obtained a percentage of 90.9% so that it was categorized as very valid, media experts obtained a percentage of 88.5% so it was categorized as very valid, biology teacher Veteran 1 Sukoharjo High School obtained a percentage of 92.5% so it was categorized as very valid and biology teacher Nguter 1 Public High School obtained a percentage of 97.5% so it is categorized as very valid. Based on this, it can be concluded that this interactive video media is worthy of being used by teachers as one of the learning media about Biodiversity at the level of genes and species.

This research aims to analyze the contents of the statement about emphasis (tawkīd) on sūrat al-Kahfi, Maryam, and Ṭāha. The used method in this research is a qualitative descriptive method and used a classification table to specify the explanation. Tawkīd is an affirmation language style that useful to emphasize expression and eliminate hesitation. Tawkīd is used for emphasizing certainty and causing it accepted in the listener’s mind and heart. Based on data analysis conducted by the researcher, deduced that on sūrat al-Kahfi, Maryam and Ṭāha found 58 kinds of tawkīd. 55 (95%) were tawkīd lafẓī, and 3 (5%) were tawkīd ma‘nawī. Besides, they found 154 different kinds from the articles of tawkīd which is divided into 8 types. Those were 8 (5%) of lām, and 51 (32%) of innā, and 13 (8%) of annā, and 23 (15%) of qad, and 21 (13%) of sīn or sawfa, and 18 (12%) of lan, and researchers were not found the type lām juḥūd from the kinds of tawkīd articles.

The subject for analysis were works for voice and piano by selected Polish composers of the 20th and 21st centuries, e.g. Grażyna Bacewicz, Tadeusz Baird, Henryk Czyż, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Henryk Hubertus Jabłoński, Wojciech Kilar, Zygmunt Krauze, Szymon Laks, Witold Lutosławski, Juliusz Mieczysław Łuciuk, Wojciech Łukaszewski, Paweł Łukaszewski, Maciej Małecki, Paweł Mykietyn, Edward Pałłasz, Konrad Pałubicki, Krzysztof Penderecki, Witold Rudziński, Marian Sawa, Kazimierz Serocki, Tadeusz Szeligowski and Romuald Twardowski. An important matter for the author was to determine whether there are common features for this creative genre. She also attempted to find an answer to the question if the trends from the second half of the 20th century were reflected in songs. The scope of analysis covered the repertoire the author knew from her performance practice from the standpoint of a pianist. To the general characteristics of selected songs she added a review of famous trends, techniques and styles of composition, such as impressionism, neoromanticism, expressionism, dodecaphony, serialism, punctualism, minimalism, sonorism, spectralism, neoclassicism, vitalism, postmodernism, aleatoricism, bruitism, microtonality, electronic music, musique concrète, stochastic music, references to previous periods, to folklore and to popular music. She compared musical notation of the analysed works. She also confronted forms of songs with contemporary composition techniques. Interesting was the approach of composers to chamber relations in a duo and the way they made texts musical. Most composers distanced themselves from the avant-garde in works for voice and piano which had a specific poetic text because of the clarity of narration. Matching composers unequivocally to just one trend turned out impossible. Various techniques and phenomena may co-exist in one piece and in the same way one creator may search for different means of expression.

Public service or community service is defined as the provision of services to people who have an interest. The Center for Conservation and Natural Resources is an agency that is engaged in the field of conservation and natural resources which is responsible for supervising the captive efforts and maintenance of protected plants and animals by individuals, companies and institutions. The community is the main source of information for this agency in terms of monitoring the use of natural resources in their environment, but it is the community themselves who rarely provide information because the community must report directly and it takes time and money to report. One alternative that can be done to provide good service is to build an information system application for communication media with the Work System Framework approach. Work System Framework is a system where humans or machines participate in running business processes using information, technology and resources, in conducting analysis and design modeling is carried out with the Unified modeling language. Pelayanan publik atau layanan masyarakat diartikan sebagai pemberian layanan kepada masyarakat yang mempunyai kepentingan. Balai Konservasi Dan Sumber Daya Alam adalah sebuah Instansi yang bergelut di bidang konservasi dan sumber daya alam yang bertanggung jawab mengawasi upaya-upaya penangkaran dan pemeliharaan tumbuhan dan satwa dilindungi oleh perorangan, perusahaan dan lembaga. Masyarakat merupakan sumber informasi utama bagi instansi ini dalam hal pemantauan terhadap pemanfaatan sumberdaya alam di lingkugannya, tetapi justru masyarakat sendiri yang jarang memberikan informasi dikaranakan masyarakat harus melakukan pelaporan secara langsung dan membutuhkan waktu dan biaya untuk melakukan pelaporan. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat dilakukan untuk memberikan pelayanan yang baik adalah dengan membagun aplikasi sistem informasi untuk media komunikasi dengan pendekatan Work System Framework. The past twenty years have witnessed much progress at translation, and good results have been achieved in this field, as it has led to the exchange of knowledge between countries, provided the ground for the exchange of information and experiences, and worked to ensure that countries become a comprehensive and potential driving force for economic growth and human development. Translation has various types, one of these types is the semantic translation where the translator attempts to keep the exact contextual meaning of the original language. This study aims at investigating the extent to which the aesthetic effect (AE) of semantic translation on English texts translated into Arabic namely quotes from George R. R. Martin’ novel "a song of Ice and Fire", Hans Küng's book Islam: "Past, Present and Future" (translated by Al-Shuraiqi and examples translated by Safia Al-Sa'di in the last work of her entitled "Life in Japan". A comparison between the original text aesthetics and the target text (TT) was made based on the selection of sentence structure, lexical and metaphors employed. The data of the study are illustrative examples chosen randomly to be analysed according to Yan Fu’s (2012, cited in Zhang, 2013) triple translation criteria of faithfulness, expressiveness, and elegance in combination with Nida’s (1964) functional equivalence. The results reveal clearly that the chosen translations show a distinct amount of adequacy in terms of expressing the aesthetic effect (AE) in the target text (TT). The results also show that semantic translation appears to be more creatively appropriate in preserving the AE and transferring it into the TT.

Abstract In this journal, we will discuss the importance of integrating various concepts in Islamic early childhood education (PIAUD). First, we will discuss how educational games can be used to integrate math and language skills for foreign-born children. In addition, we will explain how to include storytelling and science into the education of PID children about the environment and wildlife. Apart from that, we will discuss how social skills can be integrated with game-based learning to foster teamwork and empathy among PIAUD children.We will also discuss the benefits of integrating music and art into the teaching of concepts to young Dini scholars. In addition, we will explore how knowledge about water and the environment may be integrated into daily activities for PIAUD children. Abstrak Pada jurnal kali ini akan dibahas tentang pentingnya mengintegrasikan berbagai konsep dalam pendidikan anak usia dini Islam (PIAUD). Pertama, kita akan membahas bagaimana permainan edukatif dapat digunakan untuk mengintegrasikan keterampilan matematika dan bahasa bagi anak-anak kelahiran asing. Selain itu, kami akan menjelaskan bagaimana memasukkan dongeng dan sains ke dalam pendidikan anak-anak PID tentang lingkungan dan satwa liar. Selain itu, kita akan membahas bagaimana keterampilan sosial dapat diintegrasikan dengan pembelajaran berbasis permainan untuk menumbuhkan kerja sama tim dan empati di kalangan anak-anak PIAUD. Kita juga akan membahas manfaat mengintegrasikan musik dan seni ke dalam pengajaran konsep kepada para sarjana muda Dini. Selain itu, kami akan mengeksplorasi bagaimana pengetahuan tentang air dan lingkungan dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam aktivitas sehari-hari anak-anak PIAUD. Pada bagian selanjutnya, kita akan membahas bagaimana penggunaan teknologi secara terbatas dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam pendidikan. The complementation problem for nondeterministic word automata has numerous applications in formal verification. In particular, the language-containment problem, to which many verification problems is reduced, involves complementation. For automata on finite words, which correspond to safety properties, complementation involves determinization. The 2n blow-up that is caused by the subset construction is justified by a tight lower bound. For Büchi automata on infinite words, which are required for the modeling of liveness properties, optimal complementation constructions are quite complicated, as the subset construction is not sufficient. From a theoretical point of view, the problem is considered solved since 1988, when Safra came up with a determinization construction for Büchi automata, leading to a 2O(n log n) complementation construction, and Michel came up with a matching lower bound. A careful analysis, however, of the exact blow-up in Safra's and Michel's bounds reveals an exponential gap in the constants hiding in the O( ) notations: while the upper bound on the number of states in Safra's complementary automaton is n2n, Michel's lower bound involves only an n! blow up, which is roughly (n/e)n. The exponential gap exists also in more recent complementation constructions. In particular, the upper bound on the number of states in the complementation construction of Kupferman and Vardi, which avoids determinization, is (6n)n. This is in contrast with the case of automata on finite words, where the upper and lower bounds coincides. In this work we describe an improved complementation construction for nondeterministic Büchi automata and analyze its complexity. We show that the new construction results in an automaton with at most (0.96n)n states. While this leaves the problem about the exact blow up open, the gap is now exponentially smaller. From a practical point of view, our solution enjoys the simplicity of the construction of Kupferman and Vardi, and results in much smaller automata.
