Abstract (sommario):
Ce travail aborde la notion de permanence artistique et sa place dans le processus de creation theatrale. Apres avoir etabli une echelle de permanence artistique a partir d'une methode de description du parcours des comediens, nous avons pu etudier l'evolution du degre de permanence artistique dans le travail d'importantes troupes francaises de 1913 a 1997. Cette premiere approche historique a permis de degager des contextes de production profondement differents, qui influencaient en profondeur les enjeux lies a l'instauration d'une permanence artistique. Nous avons etudie trois grandes periodes : avant la seconde guerre mondiale (1913-1939), les debuts de la decentralisation theatrale (1947-1968) et une troisieme periode de maturation qui s'etendait de 1968 a nos jours. Nous avons ensuite etudie la dynamique de permanence artistique sous l'angle de l'elaboration du langage scenique, en degageant une poetique de la troupe et en la mettant en perspective avec l'irruption de l'approche dramaturgique sous l'influence du modele brechtien. La mise en evidence de cette dynamique, et le constat de connexions recurrentes entre les politiques de permanence artistique et la volonte de renouvellement du repertoire, nous ont conduit a etudier la place de la permanence artistique dans le processus de renouvellement des structures de production, c'est-adire dans le phenomene d'evolution du champ theatral. Nous avons alors mis en relief le role preponderant de la logique d'implantation des troupes dans le processus de decentralisation theatrale francaise et le necessaire contrepoids de la permanence face au systeme d'intermittence du spectacle vivant. Nous avons enfin essaye de comprendre la lutte obstinee de l'artiste de theatre contre toute standardisation, en vue de rester le plus ouvert aux transformations de la societe.

Abstract (sommario):
This thesis explores the late-eighteenth-century movement to end Britain’s transatlantic slave trade through recovering one of the major discourses in favour of abolition, namely that of the evangelical Anglicans. This important intellectual milieu has often been ignored in academia and is discovered through examining the sermons, hymns, and prayers of three influential leaders in this movement: Member of Parliament William Wilberforce, pastor and hymn writer John Newton, and pastor and professor Charles Simeon. Their oral texts reveal that at the heart of their discourse lies the doctrine of Atonement. On this foundation these abolitionists primarily built a vocabulary not of human rights, but of public duty. This duty was both to care for the destitute as individuals and to protect their nation as a whole because they believed that God was the defender of the enslaved and that he would bring providential judgement on those nations that ignored their plight. For the British evangelicals, abolishing the slave trade was not merely a means to avoid impending judgement, but also part of a broader project to prepare the way for Jesus’s imminent return through advancing the work of reconciliation between humankind and God as they believed themselves to be confronting evil in all of its forms. By reconfiguring the evangelical abolitionist arguments within their religious framework and social contexts, this thesis helps overcome the dissonance that separates our world from theirs and makes accessible the eighteenth-century abolitionist discourse of a campaign that continues to resonate with human rights activists and scholars of social change in the twenty-first-century.

Abstract (sommario):
The subject of this thesis is Roger Bacon`s work De signis. Its goal is to consider in what sense Bacon works out the general theory of signs. In this sense the thesis` method is situated in the field of "archeology of sings". First it examines Bacon`s definition of sign as a relation, investigates its formal properties and ways of application in particular cases, i.e. Bacon`s classification of signs. Then it shows the way in which Bacon applies this general notion in particular examinations, that is in problems of what the words signify, concept of univaocation and equivocation, theory of analogy and last but not least it considers a question of the nature of signification itself. The last chapter is dedicated to the examination of the (re)imposition phenomenon together with consideration of result it has on the notion of sign relation`s nature and how it serves as an explanation of the process in which these relations work. Esta investigación analiza la circulación y la recepción de la obra crítica y las ideas sobre arte de Charles Baudelaire en el ámbito de la crítica de arte y los artistas del último decenio del siglo XIX y de la primera mitad del siglo XX en Argentina, dejando establecido cuándo y cómo se comenzó a leer dicha obra en nuestro país. Presenta un estudio pormenorizado de los procesos complejos involucrados en los modos en que el campo artístico local dialogó con un conjunto de ideas provenientes de Europa, en particular, aquellas relativas al arte moderno, los lazos entre artes visuales y literatura, y el rol de la crítica de arte.

The focus of this practical theological study is Pentecostalism, and the relationship between the hermeneutics of Pentecostalism and Postmodernism. Through a literary search, we observe the points of congruency between the hermeneutics of early Pentecostals and the key tenets of Postmodernism. We note the unprecedented acceptance of Pentecostal scholars into the larger theological world and question whether this is a result of the increased Modernization of Pentecostal hermeneutics. The Postmodern world of youth is explored, and we observe their tremendous openness to spirituality. This thesis will show that Pentecostals may contribute to the Christian world a Pentecostal hermeneutic that will speak a relevant message to generations of youth. Chapters two and three examine the convergent viewpoints of Pentecostalism with Postmodernity, in terms of rationalism, narratives, and the place of experience in life and theology. Chapter four highlights the hermeneutical debate between Gordon D. Fee and his Pentecostal responders, noting the Modern approach in the principles debated. Chapter five seeks to provide interaction with a giant of theology seldom engaged by Pentecostals - Rudolf Bultmann - and his modern followers, and explores the world of Postmodern youth. Chapter six explores the work of Kenneth Archer, who has proposed a specific Pentecostal hermeneutical approach, and chapter seven discusses the role of the Holy Spirit in hermeneutics, including whether Pentecostal experience may be considered an ”edge” in hermeneutics. Chapter eight summarizes the findings of this study.

Abstract Roger As Cham (1515/ 16---68) was educated at StJohn’ s College Cambridge, where he was taught by John Cheke (1514-57), the outstanding classicist and first Regius Professor of Greek. A Fellow of St John’ s from 1534 to 1548, Ascham was elected to a Readership in Greek, and in 1546 to the University Orator ship. In 1548 he became the private tutor of Princess Elizabeth, teaching her Greek (Sophocles, Isocrates, Demosthenes) in the mornings, Latin (Cicero, Livy) in the afternoons, together with Protestant theology. From 1550 to 1553 Ascham was secretary to the English ambassador to the Emperor Charles V, and from 1553 to his death in 1568 he was Latin Secretary, both to the Catholic Queen Mary and to the Protestant Queen Elizabeth, with whom he resumed studies in Latin and Greek, now more as an equal than a teacher. Ascham also published a book recommending archery, Toxophilus, the Schole of Shootinge (1545; repr. 1571, 1589), and A Report of Germany (1570).

This chapter focuses on the family background, childhood, education, and careers of George and Charles Townshend and their role in the making of the British empire. George Townshend was born on February 28, 1724 in London and Charles followed on August 27, 1725 in Essex. Their parents were Charles, third Viscount Townshend, and Etheldreda Harrison, also known as Audrey. The brothers grew up in the Norfolk countryside in Raynham Hall. They both attended the University of Cambridge. In 1747, Charles was elected to Parliament in a constituency controlled by his family and became a member of the Board of Trade. George, on the other hand, joined the army. The chapter also considers Sir Lewis Namier's influence on George and Charles Townshend and how the brothers became involved in British politics, military, and trade. Finally, it discusses the death of the Townshends' younger brother, Roger, and their father.

Charles E. Ives (1874–1954), an American composer – wanted to preach in music and music – freedom and truth. The essence of the composer’s outlook on the world is included in his Essays Before a Sonata, which can be interpreted as a unique composer’s treaty – the only one of its kind. Ives believed that music was an internally dialectic set of values, composed of two subsets – a higher subset of substance, and a lower subset of style or manner, a manner of expression. He wrote: “Why can’t a musical thought be presented as it is born – perchance ‘a bastard of the slums,’ or a ‘daughter of a bishop’”. Ives recalls an important thought by Ralph Emerson, the leading figure of American transcendentalism, and his spiritual mentor: “What you are talks so loud, that I cannot hear what you say?” The generation of Stalowa Wola – „new humanists” or „new romantics” – entered the ax-iological space marked by Ives’s thought: Eugeniusz Knapik (1951), Andrzej Krzanowski (1951–1990) and Aleksander Lasoń. They came back to what – after Mikhail Bakhtin and Roger Scruton – I call emotional memory; they were returning through the reception of the views of Ives and his concept of music as a set of values.

Abstract (sommario):
The Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) mission led by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) aims at studying Phobos and Deimos, with a launch planned mid-2024. It includes a small rover (about 30kg) carried out jointly by the French Space Agency (CNES, Centre National des Etudes Spatiales) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt), released from the main spacecraft to explore the surface of Phobos. The MMX rover survival depends on its ability to charge its battery, powered by a solar array (SA) fixed with respect to the rover body. For that purpose, the attitude control system‎ (SKA, System für die Kontrolle of the Attitude) manages the orientation of the rover, using the locomotion system‎ (its "legs") and based on a sun sensor measurements. Conceptually, the system stems from a classic Attitude Determination and Control System‎‎ (ADCS), but the specifics are due to the dynamic interaction between the wheels and the regolith: mouvements limitation to avoid sinkage, delays in the control loop. This paper presents the SKA architecture, through the various challenges encountered: limited design flexibility with major changes during the development, small knowledge of Phobos' expected soil, "nanosatellite philosophy" constraints and in particular very tight schedule to meet the JAXA delivery date (mid-2023). The design drivers were to create the most simple, robust and efficient system to orient the rover in order to maximize the battery charge, while ensuring the rover stability and addressing all of the above issues. A particular focus is made on the preliminary simulation results. Finally, the way forward is outlined with the development and validation steps.
