Testo completoIn this dissertation the problem of two-phase flow of immiscible fluids in porous media is considered. The interaction of the fluid flow mechanisms with the medium heterogeneity leads to the uncertainties in the oil production forecasts. To assess these uncertainties the probabilistic approach and stochastic analysis of processes in porous media are needed. The simplest idea of assessing uncertainties is to follow the Monte-Carlo method. The main disadvantage of this approach is high computer time expenses necessary for the simulations. This problem is even more severe in the case of immiscible flows, where the functions of relative permeability have nonlinear form and hence main variables of the problem are coupled in a nonlinear way. The alternative approach consists in solving stochastic differential equations using analytical methods without performing costly numerical simulations. In the first part of the dissertation we follow this approach to derive the statistical moments of the saturation, namely, the averaged saturation and the saturation variance. The variogram of the front is studied as well. Finally, the theory predictions are compared with the results of the Monte-Carlo simulations. The second part of the dissertation is devoted to the development of the front-tracking method in heterogeneous porous media. The differential equation describing the propagation of the displacement front is obtained using perturbation theory. The discrete form of the equation is used for the numerical simulation of the propagation of the displacement front through the heterogeneous permeability grid. The obtained results are compared with the results of conventional simulator

Testo completoThis thesis is set in the context of predictive maintenance for heterogeneous production processes, targeting three scientific issues: drift detection without the need for labeled data, drift diagnosis using hybrid methods, and the integration of these activities into an adaptable methodological approach. The first contribution proposes, via a decision logigram, a guided method for selecting the machine learning algorithms best suited to the data via the calculation of indicators. The second contribution presents a hybrid diagnosis, combining binary classifiers and decision trees enriched with expert knowledge, to identify the root causes of drift. Finally, the third contribution develops an integrated methodological approach to process drift detection and diagnosis, incorporating continuous learning steps to enable adaptation to process evolutions. Validated on an industrial process at SEW USOCOME, this approach shows promising results and confirms the relevance of the contributions

Testo completoThese works are based on the study of the structural behaviour of a heterogeneous reactive silica resulting from a natural siliceous aggregate (flint) submitted to a physico-chemical degradation process: the Alkali Silica Reaction. The impact of the reaction on the aggregate depends punctually of the degree of heterogeneousness of the structure; therefore, the appeal to the techniques of punctual analysis is then necessary. So, all the stages of the degradation of the silica on a grain of some microns were realized due to the use of the microbeam of the line LUCIA on SLS. The study of the behaviour of elements calcium and potassium in the structure of the aggregate was realized by EDX and consolidated by the analysis of the atomic environments of the silicon and cations by the interpretation of X-Ray absorption spectrums (XANES). These studies allowed to advance in the understanding of reactions mechanisms involved during ASR

Testo completoThis work is devoted to the study of radiative transfer through binary heterogeneous mixtures. The spatial patterns of the mixture are described by rather simple stochastic processeses (Markovian or renewal processes) which permit to obtain analytical results. Within the context of the diffusion approximation, we propose a formula for the effective opacity of the mixture, it depends on the chord-length distribution of each species and not only on volumic proportions; all these results are obtained for the stationnary case and without scattering. The scattering term is not easy to handle and is only accounted for in the one dimensional conservative case: then we calculate the entire statistical distribution for the transmission coefficient and prove the existence of a transmission window. White provided in the context of radiative transfer, all these methods can be applied for any other particule transport

Testo completoThe catalytic oxidation of propylene to acrolein is a complex and highly exothermic process carried out in the gas phase, involving consecutive and competitive reactions. To maximize the efficiency of this process, the temperature needs to be rigorously controlled and the thermal transfers must be maximized, in order to evacuate the heat released by the reactions. A millistructured reactor-exchanger has thus been chosen to intensify this process. Indeed, millimetric channels washcoated with an industrial catalyst provide intensified heat and mass transfer. To carry out this design, a preliminary study of the kinetics of these reactions was carried out and a kinetic model was determined. This model was then used to identify the optimal operating conditions of a single reactive channel (temperature, number of channels, composition), and to extrapolate these conditions for the design of an intensified reactor exchanger. The shape of the distribution and collect chambers of these reactive channels were then optimized to minimize maldistribution, maximize the acrolein yield with an optimal control of the temperature, and to ensure the safety of the process. This intensified reactor-exchanger with complex geometry was finally manufactured by 3D printing, within the French project FAIR (Additive Manufacturing for the Intensification of Reactors)

Testo completoGlobal change and the evolution of the socio-economic context reinforce the expectations for multifunctional forest management. In France, the forest community agreed on the definition of the double objective of “improving timber production while preserving biodiversity better” (Grenelle 2007). This objective goes along with a will of maintaining the natural attributes favoring biodiversity on one hand, and of increasing management intensity on the other hand. The compatibility between both objectives is however controversial and it seem nowadays necessary to better understand their effects on ecosystem services, so as to enable the definition of multifunctional and sustainable forest management. The objective of this PhD thesis is to explore the effect of silviculture on stand structure, timber production and biodiversity preservation. This works involves two main hypotheses: (1) the fact that ecosystem services indicators present different responses to silvicultural drivers, thus leading to trade-offs situations; (2) the fact that management scenarios of intermediate intensity may enable satisfactory production-biodiversity trade-offs to be reached. This work addressed the case of uneven-aged spruce-fir mountain forests, which present a long tradition of uneven-aged management (selection system) and are judged favorable to the provision of several ecosystem services. We used a simulation approach coupling a forest dynamics simulation model (Samsara2), a silviculture algorithm, and ecosystem services models and indicators (for timber production and biodiversity). This however required a complete simulation experiment approach to be set up, with several steps: (i) formalization of control and response variables, (ii) model development and evaluation, (iii) experiment designs definition, (iv) sensitivity analysis, and (v) study of indicators' response to management. A complete analysis of the Samsara2 model enabled the consistency of simulated forest dynamics and the reliability of predictions to be checked. A silviculture algorithm has been developed to accurately model uneven-aged management. Two biodiversity models have been implemented from the literature: a dead wood decay model and an understory diversity model.A sensitivity analysis of the system first enabled us to assess the influence of input parameters (silviculture, demographic and initial state) on structure, timber production and biodiversity indicators, and then to identify and fix those with low influence. Then, a regression approach enabled the establishment of the response function (metamodels) of each indicator to the main silvicultural factors, in interaction with demography and initial state. This revealed the negative effect of increased management intensity on biodiversity indicators, although its effect depended on the indicator. Biodiversity conservation measures could however be used as compensation drivers in some cases, therefore enabling both objectives to be concealed. Trade-offs situations have also been detected between timber production and/or biodiversity conservation indicators, but their analysis now require specific multi-criteria analysis to be used. The combined analysis of ecosystem services response to silvicultural drivers and of management scenarios located on the trade-offs area would then supply the discussion with forest managers with new elements and enable management recommendations to be discussed at the stand or landscape scale

Testo completoThis research is a questioning, which is both theorical and practical, of the notion of limit, by an artist. While limit is usually regarded asthe place which separates and mutually excludes two worlds, the works here presented (installations, filmed photographed performances) show that it allows, as a zone of mediation, a permeability and makes possible an encounter. Being situated atthe confluences of the art movements of the last fifty years (minimalism, post-minimalism, Gutai, Mono-ha, conceptual art, institutional critique, etc.), these works are kind of synthesis bearing on their demarcations

Testo completoIn a structural analysis, the incorporation of uncertainties related to material properties, loading or geometry seems today essential if one seeks to obtain reliable numerical predictions. Stochastic finite element method allows solving this kind of problem when the uncertainties deal with material properties or loading. However, there is still no available efficient strategy to deal with uncertainties on the geometry although it could have a great interest in various applications such as corrosion modelling in a random environment. The aim of this thesis is to develop a computational strategy which allows taking into account these geometrical uncertainties. The proposed method, called X-SFEM, is based on an extension to the stochastic framework of the deterministic X-FEM method. It lies on an implicit representation of the random geometry by the level sets technique and on a Galerkin approximation for the construction and the resolution of the problem. The method is presented for problems with random shape, where only the boundary is random, and for problems of random material interface. For this latter kind of problem, we proposed a new enrichment strategy of the approximation space based on the partition of unity method and which is well adapted to the stochastic framework. We present the various developments carried out for this work and we show the efficiency of the method with several numerical examples. Finally, we proposed an application of the X-SFEM method to a mechanical problem of a structural component submitted to marine corrosion impact

Testo completoIn this thesis, we designed a simulation platform to compare and evaluate production planning and order management strategies for lumber production in North American sawmills. In our context, a strategy is composed of several parameters such as the choice of order acceptance policies, allowing to accept or refuse an order based on implemented rules, the choice of planning models and algorithms used at each stage of timber production, the choice of model at the tactical level, the coordination mechanisms used, to better coordinate the operations of several distinct entities or of several planning levels; this includes the exchange of information between tactical and operational planning levels or between entities / models used at the operational level to plan timber production. Today, it is extremely difficult for a company to know which management strategy to put in place. The general objective is then to evaluate and compare tactical and operational planning strategies for timber production, taking into account the company's market context and its production parameters. To achieve this goal, we divided it into four specific objectives that resulted in three publications. In the first specific objective, we developed a simulation model to represent the generation, acceptance and sale of an order for a sawmill. We coupled a production planning module to this simulation model that is responsible for inventory management and the generation of production plans. In a second objective, we use this simulation model to be able to evaluate the impact of order acceptance policies such as Available-to-promise (ATP), Capable-to-promise (CTP) and Stock policies on the company’s performance in terms of volume of accepted orders in a product flow environment diverge with co-production. Although these order acceptance policies have been widely studied in a traditional manufacturing context, the choice of one policy over another is far from being trivial in such a context of divergence flow. We show that in this type of context, the choice of an order acceptance policy rather than another depends strongly on the market and impacts the performance of the company, in terms of accepted orders and average annual inventory. This specific objective leads to the first publication. In a third specific objective, we evaluated coordination mechanisms used at the operational level between the different activities of the timber processing process, which is a decentralized process. The previous simulation platform has been adapted and previously published coordination mechanisms such as "Two-phase planning" or "bottleneck-first planning" are evaluated using a rolling horizon in an environment where orders are generated dynamically. We show that coordination mechanisms already published and tested in a static environment perform poorly in a dynamic environment. We therefore propose another "hybrid push / pull" coordination mechanism exploiting the decoupling point concept. This mechanism is better than the previous ones by allowing a greater number of sales, as well as a reduction in average inventory. This specific objective leads to a second publication. Finally, in a fourth specific objective, we are interested in production planning at the tactical and operational levels. We use the simulation model to compare and evaluate different information transmitted from the tactical level to the operational level by simulating the production system, the planning process and the market behavior. The tactical planning level is then taken into account to establish longer-term production planning. We show that the choice of the type of information to be transmitted from the tactical level to the operational level varies according to several factors, such as: the order acceptance policy (ATP, CTP) used by the company, the extent of seasonality selling prices, or whether or not being in an overcapacity market. This specific objective leads to third publication

Testo completoIn a number of disordered porous, solute spreading does not obey Fick's law. The latter describes the evolution of a plume of tracer. When initial data represent a local impulse, the concentration is a Gaussian variance is proportional to time. Experimental data obtained in aquifers have put into evidence qualitatively different behaviors, replacing Gaussians by stable Lévy densities, which also are non increasing functions. But in the large values asymptotics, they behave algebraically, and in general the second moment does not converge. Moreover, stable Lévy densities are the fundamental solutions of a wide class of partial differetial equations, which are space-fractional equations. They resemble heat equation, with the Laplacean being replaced by a derivative of non-integer order. They also rule the evolution of the concentration of a cloud of random walkers performing Lévy flights, wich are more general than Brownian motion, with the jump length density being a stable Lévy law. All these point are detailed in the thesis. The main results concern the spreading of matter in a semi-infinite medium where the motion of tracer particles is described by Lévy flights (on the small scale) except when they meet the boundary. With a reflexive wall, it is necessary to modify the kernel of the fractional derivative on the right hand-side of the equation ruling the evolution of the concentration of walkers. The theoretical result is illustrated by a Monte Carlo simulation, and compared with the numerical discretization of the fractional equation in a semi-infinite medium

Testo completoThe subject of the piece of research work is the analysis of the production process of the national identityt in Catalonia. The aim was to give an account of the meaning and stakes of the construction of the catalonian national reality. To begin with we analysed the thought and words of the parties holding the most powerful positions in Catalonia which adenowledge the spanish state's legitimacy, and this the belonging of Catalonia to Spain. Then we confronted the parties'speeches with the secessionists'. The analysis of the catalonian nationalist political speeches allowed us to reconstruct a field, which we named the "catalonianist field". It is made up of all the groups that exist both thoules to and for nothing but nationalism, that is to say some political parties is well as associations whose purpose is to stand up for the catalonian identity. The second part of this study is devoted to drawing links between the objectivization of catalanonian properties as elements of catalanonian ethnie identity on the one hand, and the construction of catalonian national identity on the other. To do so, and starting from the concept of "habitus" (defined by p. Bourdieu) we analysed the catalonian "habitus" in the process of being constructed, after the fashion of catalonian national identity. We accounted for fact that the catalonian national identity is being constructed througt the appropriation of the nationalist thought and words by those who we are adenowledged as "immigrans". The different ways of appropriating the nationalists' thought and words gave rise to a common representation of the catalonian identity

Testo completoThe purpose of this thesis is to study the improvement of services production. We begin the first part by discussing service concepts. We examine two points of view: “conceived quality” and “perceived quality”. Process improvement consists in a process transformation which aims at increasing system “effectiveness” and “efficiency”. We defend that the use of simulation is essential for the instrumentation of services process conception and transformation. In the second part, we discuss simulation techniques: “Object Based Simulation (OBS)”, “Object Oriented Simulation (OOS)” and “Multi-Agent Based Simulation (MABS)”. We claim that OBS can be sufficient to realize objectives mentioned above and to model some of the most important perceived quality dimensions, which is not the common use of this technique. We finish our thesis by discussing the contribution of the simulation on an extremely complex example, a hospital emergency department

Testo completoThis thesis focuses on population dynamics models and their applications, on one hand to demography and actuarial science, and on the other hand to Hawkes processes. This work explores through several viewpoints how population structures evolve over time, both in terms of ages and characteristics. In five chapters, we develop a common philosophy which studies the population at the scale of the individual in order to better understand the behavior of aggregate quantities. The first chapter introduces the motivations and details the main contributions in French. In Chapter 2, based on Bensusan et al. (2010–2015), we survey the modeling of characteristic and age-structured populations and their dynamics, as well as several examples motivated by demographic issues. We detail the mathematical construction of such population processes, as well as their link with well known deterministic equations in demography. We illustrate the simulation algorithm on an example of cohort effect, and we also discuss the role of the random environment. The two following chapters emphasize on the importance of the age pyramid. Chapter 3 uses a particular form of the general model introduced in Chapter 2 in order to study Hawkes processes with general immigrants. In this theoretical part based on Boumezoued (2015b) we use the concept of age pyramid to derive new distribution properties for a class of fertility functions which generalize the popular exponential case. Chapter 4 is based on Arnold et al. (2015) and analyses the impact of cause-of- death mortality changes on the population age pyramid, and in particular on the dependency ratio which is crucial to measure population ageing. By including birth patterns, this numerical work based on WHO data gives additional insights compared to the existing literature on causes of death focusing only on mortality indicators. The last two chapters focus on population heterogeneity. The aim of Chapter 5, based on Boumezoued et al. (2015), is to measure mortality heterogeneity on French longitudinal data called Échantillon Démographique Permanent. In this work, inspired by recent advances in the statistical literature, we develop a parametric maximum likelihood method for multi-state models which takes into account both interval censoring and reversible transitions. Finally, Chapter 6, based on Boumezoued (2015a), considers the general model introduced in Chapter 2 in which individuals can give birth, change their characteristics and die. The contribution of this theoretical work is the analysis of the population behavior when individual characteristics change very often. We establish a large population limit theorem for the age pyramid process, whose dynamics is described at the limit by birth and death rates which are averaged over the stable population composition

Testo completoThe level of technical and aesthetic excellence reached by learned cuisine in the second half of the 17th century and the capacity to create novel works and or reinterpret some have propelled domestic and artisanal cooking into the world of artistic professional practice. We have chosen to address the problem of work construction in French contemporary culinary art from the production process viewpoint. The analytical and expert reading of the food offer as evidenced in menus of three-starred restaurants and in chefs’ interviews clearly underlines that the production process differs between chefs since it depends on the professional socialization but also on the chefs’ life history and on their interactions with the world of culinary art in the gastronomic arena. The way chefs aggregate all these elements is the hallmark of their artistic production (interpreter vs creator – national dimension vs terroir-focused). The culinary type to which they belong (conservative/avant-garde) seems to be closely linked to the type of aesthetic signature which differentiates them. The theoretical contribution of this research work may help define some social space that could be referred to as « gastronomic social space ». Such an approach could help outline the contours of the chefs’ signature that might prove quite valuable to the researchers who intend to study culinary art, to the professionals who try to position themselves with regard to « culinary and scenic design », to the reviewers who need an analytical framework and to the trainers who plan to educate the general public. In this respect, this research work can be considered as an asset to incorporate culinary art to the domain of food sociology

Testo completoThe functioning of the parliamentary legislative body, from a legal point of view, responds first and foremost to parliamentary rationalisation. This technique can be seen through the demarcation of a particular area of the law and the monitoring of the constitutionality of the laws, as well as through the respecting of a pre-established procedure. On the whole, however, none of these techniques have had any practical consequences whatsoever. On the other hand, the political factor has been a huge influence on the functioning of the legislative service. In the early years of independence, members of parliament, although recruited by president houphouet boigny, assisted by the pdci-rda, participated rather pertinently in the adoption of laws, as much from the point of view of taking the initiatives, as taking part in the parliamentary debates in the commissions and plenary assemblies. This situation was to evolve considerably following the political purges of 1963-1964, which were a result of the discovery of political plotting. From this period of 1964-1980, the year of the internal democratisation of the regime, ivory coast m. P. 's have remained rather timorous. They have not taken any legislative initiatives, and have practically not taken part in any parliamentary debates. The national assembly during this period can no doubt be described simply as a registration chamber, with one or two exceptions

Testo completoThe main objective of this work is to understand the electron transfer and the mass transport in ionic liquid. So, a particular ionic liquid is presented: a redox ionic liquid. This molecule can be the solvent, the electrolyte and a redox species. One of its possible applications is in photovoltaic devices. The electrochemistry of this molecule had been studied with different methods: ultramicroelectrodes, electrochemistry impedance spectroscopy and scanning electrochemistry microscopy. In ionic liquid, the dynamics of mass transport and electronic transport are slowed compared to molecular solvents due to the increase in viscosity. In this redox ionic liquid, we have shown a succession of bimolecular reactions to transfer the electrons. With the electrochemistry microscopy, it is possible to access the kinetics of the electron transfer in a thin layer configuration. To illustrate the impact of ionic liquid in electrochemistry reactions, we have studied a modification of surface in ionic liquid. The reduction of diazonium salt had been chosen for this study. The more the viscosity is increased, less quantity is deposited

Testo completoRecent advances in Molecular Biology have led biologists toward high-throughput genomic studies. In particular, the investigation of the human transcriptome offers unprecedented opportunities for understanding cellular and disease mechanisms. In this PhD, we put our focus on providing robust statistical methods dedicated to the treatment and the analysis of high-throughput transcriptome data. We discuss the differential analysis approaches available in the literature for identifying genes associated with a phenotype of interest and propose a comparison study. We provide practical recommendations on the appropriate method to be used based on various simulation models and real datasets. With the eventual goal of overcoming the inherent instability of differential analysis strategies, we have developed an innovative approach called DiAMS, for DIsease Associated Modules Selection. This method was applied to select significant modules of genes rather than individual genes and involves the integration of both transcriptome and protein interactions data in a local-score strategy. We then focus on the development of a framework to infer gene regulatory networks by integration of a biological informative prior over network structures using Gaussian graphical models. This approach offers the possibility of exploring the molecular relationships between genes, leading to the identification of altered regulations potentially involved in disease processes. Finally, we apply our statistical developments to study the metastatic relapse of breast cancer

Testo completoIn Food science, the operating limits of the existing mechanistic models bring the researchers to incorporate the knowhow of the field into their models. Taking advantage of both, know-how and scientific knowledge, is also a challenge for knowledge engineering. In this work, we propose to exploit the available domain’s knowledge so to build a model of the French breadmaking process. Our approach proceeds in two stages: representing the structure of the whole process, representing the transformation operations of the process by using a qualitative algebra, our formal knowledge representation’s tool. We set out to: i / formalize a structured approach to model the whole process, ii / extend the theoretical tools of the qualitative algebra (Q, ≈, ⊕,⊗) iii / apply this formalism to the modeling of the operations composing the system. We have shown how to complete the systemic representation of the process so to increase the use properties of the models, that the qualitative algebra is suitable for representing the expertise in breadmaking, its use can even lead to making new knowledge emerge, and finally, that the association of qualitative and quantitative models allow to simulate the dynamic of an operation of the process. Finally the theoretical tools introduced should facilitate the calculation and the use of the qualitative algebra. A preliminary model’s validation has yielded encouraging results, the validation of a model that can handle over 109 different combinations of inputs is an extension of this work

Testo completoCurrently, industrialized housing is facing an increased demand while a lot of small producers have to deal with a lack of capacity and non-automated production processes. This master thesis focuses on the way to improve the production processes in this field in order to gain efficiency. First, a literature review leads to a comprehensive state of the art concerning scheduling and production management practices in industrialized housing. It compares this sector to the traditional construction field and the manufacturing industry. It then identifies the various problems enterprises may face while suggesting potential solutions. Thereafter a case study involving a company specialized in producing prefabricated elements is studied in detail. The focus is on the processes conducted to manufacture panels. Improvements that should be implemented in order to decrease operation times as well as better use the production capacity while respecting the labor’s availability constraint are proposed. A simulation model is therefore developed to test those suggestions and to evaluate the gain each solution can generate so as to meet a rise in demand. Results show that the most interesting improvements are those involving to invest in automation technologies.

Testo completoOne of the weak points of forest dynamics models is the recruitment. Classically, ecologists make the assumption that recruitment mainly depends on both spatial pattern of mature trees and environment. A detailed inventory of the stand and the environmental conditions enabled them to show the effects of these two factors on the local density of seedlings. In practice, such information is not available: only a part of seedlings is sampled and the environment is partially observed. The aim of the paper is to propose an approach in order to predict the spatial distribution and the seedlings genotype on the basis of a reasonable sampling of seedling, mature trees and environmental conditions. The spatial pattern of the seedlings is assumed to be a realization of a marked point process. The intensity of the process is not only related to the seed and pollen dispersal but also to the sapling survival. The sapling survival depends on the environment; so the environment must be predicted on the whole study area. The environment is characterized through spatial variables of different nature and predictions are obtained using a spatial hierarchical model. Unlike the existing models which assume the environmental covariables as exactly known, the recruitment model we propose takes into account the error related to the prediction of the environment. The prediction of seedling recruitment in tropical rainforest in French Guiana illustrates our approach

Testo completoThis work deals with the modeling of transient conduction heat transfer by brownian walkers within a heterogenous medium. The medium is described by a 3D voxelised structure. Each walker carries an elementary enthalpy during its movement. This enthalpy motion represents the thermal flux and allows to solve quantitatively the transient thermal conduction. A study demonstrates the importance of the time step chosen in the simulations. An empirical value of this parameter, based on the spatial resolution and the thermal diffusivities of the constituents, has been established to model accurately the conduction at each step of the heat transfer. Several problems related to the behavior of the walkers had to be solved to model two well-known experimental thermal characterization techniques: the hot guarded plate technique and the flash method. An imposed temperature condition is modeled by a reservoir where the number of walkers is regulated. An adiabatic wall condition imposes a specular reflection to the walkers. A stochastic transmission criterion, based on the thermal effusivities, was established to treat the behavior of a walker at voxel-voxel interface between two different constituents. Convective losses at a boundary of the numerical structure are represented by an analogous stochastic transmission criterion involving the effusivity, the convective exchange coefficient and the time step. An imposed thermal flux condition, of any temporal profile, is modeled by an injection of walkers through the boundary. The complex combination of these computing blocks allowed to model transient heat transfer within voxelised heterogeneous structures. The comparison between our results and those issued from more classical approaches allowed to validate the ability of our model to characterize the phonic thermal properties of virtual and real structures. We conclude this PhD work with preliminary activities aiming at the simulation of conduction-radiation coupling at the voxel scale of the structure: the radiative contribution is modeled by an internal power source term within the voxels

Testo completoManufacturing SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), major actors of the global industry, are subjected to strong pressure from the market to respond in shorter delays to customized needs with competitive prices. The evolution of production planning activities through the 4.0 technologies can provide answers for facing these challenges. However, considering the large number of industry 4.0 technologies, it is not easy for SMEs to select the most adequate technologies for their industrial and organizational context and the most adequate activities that could enhance a digital improvement. Planning a digital transformation project requires the definition of the 4.0 scope as well as a clear vision of the performance objectives to be achieved. Nevertheless, our review of the scientific literature shows that SMEs lack models for carrying digital transformation in planning activities. This thesis proposes a 4.0 production planning approach, focused on the Master Production Schedule (MPS), for manufacturing SMEs. In order to reach our research goal, we conducted a prospective study to specify the industrial need of the MPS process within a group of manufacturing SMEs. This study revealed that the main levers of the transformation concerned the process and the tools for supporting decision-making. Regarding the process, we present a methodology for selecting the activities to be done in a new way based on two improvement levers, monitoring and optimization. On this basis, we propose the integration of the 4.0 technologies in the MPS. As for decision support tools, we propose two optimization approaches for the MPS in the context of SME with an assemble-to-order (ATO) strategy, multiple assembly lines, several bottlenecks, diverse master items and a mainly artisanal production process. We also present the integration of these optimization approaches in the MPS activities

Testo completoToday's business organizations must deal with constant changes in their organizational structure and markets. This requires organizations to become agile through the adoption of increasingly flexible and information processing oriented business models. The concepts of workflows or business processes have become the main enablers of business environments. The trend to an increasing agility demands decoupling business process modeling from its execution, in comparison with classical workflows, which consist in a fixed sequence of concrete business tasks. The flexibility of such loosely coupled process models however entails new interoperability and security research challenges notably due to the need for supporting interactions beyond business boundaries and between a priori unknown actors. The main contribution of this thesis is the introduction of the notion of document-based agile workflow system. A basic methodology for modeling such workflows and their execution is first presented based on a declarative approach to processing the exchanged documents, which organizes and combines strategic business goals and rules into a unified framework. The use of an ontology based model for the semantic annotation of document data is then proposed as a solution for interoperability. That approach also provides the basic mechanism of a decentralized communication infrastructure supporting document distribution between actors during the execution of a document-based agile workflow. Security mechanisms are finally defined to enforce fine-grained document access control and document integrity, as well as dynamic key management among workflow participants
