Abstract (sommario):
Nye kulturstudier [New Cultural Studies] is the first introduction to cultural studies in Scandinavia and an impressive presentation of the subject. The book aims to explain how cultural studies emerged as an interdisciplinary field in humanities and social sciences. Other introductions to cultural research in ethnology and anthropology have been produced – but this one is different, since it is more comprehensive and ambitious.
Nye kulturstudier is the result of interdisciplinary collaboration between four colleagues from Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Senior lecturer Anne Scott Sørensen a

Abstract: This article discusses the intentions and experiences from architects and pedagogues involved in planning and establishing kindergartens with new building topologies in Oslo. The National Kindergarten effort (St.meld.nr. 24 2002-2003) with the political aim that all children between one and six years should have the right to attend kindergarten, led to a huge development of kindergarten buildings all over Norway. Many of the buildings were designed as new typologies named base and zone kindergartens. There are barely research on processes and consequences of the changes in physical s

Abstract (sommario):
Introduction Greater resilience is associated with the ability to self-organise, and with social learning as part of a process of adaptation and transformation (Goldstein 341). This article deals with responses to a crisis in a Norwegian community in the late 1880s, and with some of the many internal conflicts it caused. The crisis and the subsequent conflicts in this particular community, Volda, were caused by a number of processes, driven mostly by external forces and closely linked to the expansion of the capitalist mode of production in rural Norway. But the crisis also reflects a growing

Amundsen, Arne Bugge. "Hans Nielsen Hauge – før og etter Anton Christian Bang." In Nye perspektiv på Hans Nielsen Hauge. Cappelen Damm Akademisk/NOASP, 2023. http://dx.doi.org/10.23865/noasp.190.ch2.

Abstract (sommario):
The first comprehensive historical biography of Hans Nielsen Hauge was published in 1874. The author was Anton Christian Bang (1840–1913), later to become the first professor of church history at the University of Christiania (Oslo). Bang used a large number of written and oral sources. His main perspective is a very positive evaluation of Hauge, his theology and activities. Bang portrays the preacher on a very dark background of contemporary “rationalism” dominating the Norwegian clergy. Bang also argues that Hauge was of high importance for the development of both church and society. Anton Christian Bang’s biography was for almost a century regarded as the most important contribution to understanding Hans Nielsen Hauge. The biography was perfectly fitted to make later religious organisations in Norway claiming Hauge their spiritual and historical hero and ideal, thus creating a Bakhtinian monoglossia. Bang also claimed that Hauge should be included in the historical memory of the Norwegian nation.
