Abstract (sommario):
This study focuses on the framing theory as a lens to analyze the coverage and frames of political parties by two prominent news channels, Dunya News and Geo News. A comprehensive content analysis spanning over three months was conducted to assess the frequency, story types, frames, and tone of news coverage related to political leaders from 1st Sep 2023 to 20th Dec 2023 through purposive sampling. For this purpose, five themes, party manifesto, and plans, leader’s character, past performance of the party, voting worth, bias, and victimization were designed to explore the study’s objectives. The findings indicate a notable disparity in the salience given to political parties, with both news channels showing a higher emphasis on PMLN compared to PTI and PPP. Furthermore, the results reveal that Nawaz Sharif, received more favorable coverage from both news channels, followed by Imran Khan. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari receives comparable coverage to Imran Khan on Dunya News but notably less on Geo News. Additionally, the majority of the stance from these news channels leans in favor of PMLN leader Nawaz Sharif, while PTI leader Imran Khan tends to receive a more negative stance across both channels. A frames-wise analysis uncovers that Dunya News provides a more diverse range of perspectives when portraying political leaders, encompassing frames such as party manifesto, party previous performance, and voting worth, in contrast to Geo News, which maintains a more consistent distribution of emphasis across different frames. Findings also revealed that Nawaz Sharif’s frames prominently centered on the manifesto category. On the other hand, Imran Khan received coverage under the attributes of leaders’ character while party performance was a common attribute covered related to politicians.

Abstract (sommario):
This study combines two research methods to explore how female leaders are portrayed in the news in Vietnam, and Vietnamese journalists’ perception of female and male leaders. Content analysis indicated that female leaders are under- and misrepresented. Female leader sources seldom appear in the news. When they do, they are more likely to be interviewed on traditionally feminine issues. Survey findings demonstrated that gender stereotypes are pervasive among journalists, influencing their perception of news sources. Journalists believe male sources possess stronger work-oriented and agentic traits while female sources are more socially oriented and communal. Results confirmed role congruity theory’s applicability in studying media in a non-Western country.

Abstract (sommario):
This study explored relations between COVID-19 news source, trust in COVID-19 information source, and COVID-19 health literacy in 194 STEM-oriented adolescents and young adults from the US and the UK. Analyses suggest that adolescents use both traditional news (e.g., TV or newspapers) and social media news to acquire information about COVID-19 and have average levels of COVID-19 health literacy. Hierarchical linear regression analyses suggest that the association between traditional news media and COVID-19 health literacy depends on participants’ level of trust in their government leader. For youth in both the US and the UK who used traditional media for information about COVID-19 and who have higher trust in their respective government leader (i.e., former US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson) had lower COVID-19 health literacy. Results highlight how youth are learning about the pandemic and the importance of not only considering their information source, but also their levels of trust in their government leaders.

Abstract (sommario):
This article explores the implications for female politicians of the gendered nature of news coverage. An analysis of the language used in television news coverage of the English-language leaders' debates in the Canadian federal elections of 1993, 1997 and 2000 confirms that the debates are framed in stereotypically masculine ways as battles, sporting events or back street brawls. When the news coverage is compared with the leaders' actual behaviour in the debates, it is clear that the coverage focuses disproportionately on combative displays of behaviour by female party leaders, but tends to ignore the women when they adopt a more low-key style, especially when the novelty of a female leader has worn off.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract: Research on gender bias is always interesting and can continue research related to other fields. One is the study of gender bias in reporting women leaders in the mass media. The social construction in Indonesia distinguishes men and women. Megawati Soekarnoputri is a female leader known as the first and only female President in Indonesia. This study uncovers the news content of two newspapers in Indonesia, namely Kompas and Kedaulatan Rakyat, during Megawati's presidency in the era 2001 - 2004. The researcher uses a content analysis method with the "pen pix" dimension by Cathy Jenkins. This study then interviewed two female journalists from Kompas and Kedaulatan Rakyat to confirm the findings of the news text research in the context of the news production process at the Kompas and Kedaulatan Rakyat editorial staff. The study results show that Kompas and Kedaulatan Rakyat are still gender-biased and focus more on the appearance and personal character of female politicians. The implications of this research are considered essential for media actors' guidelines to maintain gender equality between women and men as news subjects through the choice of news angles and news content flow. Keywords: Gender, media, female leader, Megawati, news content

Abstract (sommario):
The phenomenon of moral decline and the humanitarian crisis is now rampant and is happening everywhere. The act is not only done by teenagers, but by some parents and even leaders. This can be seen by the proliferation of corruption, the association of free sex, drugs, the spread of news about sheepfighting and hatred and hoax news that are very disturbing to the public. Even radical movements in the name of religion and ethnicity began to flourish. The purpose of this study is to unravel the theme of the urgency of the spirit of the leadership of jihad embedded in the success of education because education leaders now face very heavy challenges in the success of education. The research method used in the research is the type of library research. Based on the results of the conceptual study the urgency of the spirit of the jihad of a leader towards the success of education is found that a leader in his heart implanted the spirit of jihad for the success of education, then a leader will devote all his abilities seriously in doing something in good totality concerning life, emotions, energy, mind and knowledge and time and place for the success of education. This shows that the ideal education leader is a leader who has leadership talents who are strong, responsible and have a spirit of great jihad in carrying out his leadership duties, and still maintain noble character in his own personality.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract Publics hold chief executives uniquely responsible for national well-being, and they learn about national conditions through news. But when news disproportionately covers problems, what happens to democratic accountability? Here, we experimentally test how leader approval changes when crime loses prominence in news for a sustained period. We create an online news environment coding real news in real time, then experimentally filter news for nationally diverse U.S. panelists over 1 week. We find causal evidence that reducing crime news raises presidential approval and depresses problem importance evaluations for crime. No other leaders are credited, and reducing all problems produces no further gains. These effects persist well after exposure but dissipate within a week. We conclude with broad implications for journalism and democratic judgment.

Abstract (sommario):
The conventional wisdom derived from the two-step flow theory suggests that opinion leaders have great influence on their followers. However, it has been difficult for social scientists to measure and describe the extent to which political opinion leaders influence voters, especially when voters today access multiple information sources like communication networks and self-selected news media. This paper fills this gap by using agent-based modeling to represent what the two-step flow theory describes about opinion leader influence and refines the theory based on the findings. First, opinion leader influence does not diffuse to the public without homogeneous communication networks. Second, opinion leader influence usually does not diffuse widely to the public because it inevitably faces resistance from self-strengthening communication networks.

Abstract (sommario):
The image of a political leader is considered as a discursive phenomenon, structured by a set of practices. Two practices bring together the images of Stalin and Putin: 1) use of specific nominations of a leader; 2) reproduction of laudatory slogans addressed to a leader. The gatekeeping practices and the content of leaders’ images in considered discourses are fundamentally different. The modern Russian media select the most spectacular breaking news with the participation of Putin and construct the star image, well sold to the Russian consumer. Soviet media refuse any sensationalism, covering only official and routine events with the participation of Stalin. So the contradiction is revealed between the ordinary actions of the leader and the endless praise for Stalin as a deified father.

The purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis is to investigate how party leaders appear in pictures in newspapers in relation to how they portray themselves in pictures in their own social media. We have conducted a quantitative content analysis of pictures from two newspapers and two social media. The material consists of pictures of party leaders from the six largest parties in the Swedish Parliament. Research findings are that civic and everyday environments appear to a greater extent in the pictures on social media. Close-ups appear to a greater extent in the newspapers. The party leaders smile and look into the camera to a greater extent at the pictures on social media than they do in the news media. The female party leaders smile and look into the camera to a greater extent than the male ones. Images where party leaders express themselves with gestures are rare.

Abstract (sommario):

The meaning of the word leadership is changing over time, and so is the role of the leader. Organisational labour is today required to be more self-governing as organisational tasks are moving towards a more flexible and independent nature. This requires a leadership able to inspire and motivate independent performance by acting as an inspirational mentor or coach (Bass and Riggio (2005). Those leaders and that style of leadership have many names, but in our research they are titled as Transformational and Charismatic leaders, as well as Super Leaders. Perhaps they are best described by using Vardiman et al (2006:97) own words: “the most effective leaders teach others to be effective leaders of themselves and others."

Identifying, selecting and recruiting the right leader are a competitive advantage and an important success factor (Fernández-Aráoz et al, 2009). The objective of this thesis is therefore to gain knowledge in the manners present when charismatic and inspirational leaders with the ability to lead others to lead themselves are identified, recruited and selected. We judge gaining understanding in how to identify, attract, select, recruit and keep leaders with this special leadership style as a vital knowledge in today’s highly competitive business world.

This thesis approaches leader recruitment from both an external and internal perspective by conveying dialogues with recruitment consultants as well as with a HR-manager. The thesis further raises the question whether the inspirational and charismatic leadership style is appropriate in all type of organisations and here focus on organisational culture as a key determinant when recruiting leaders.

Testo completo
Abstract (sommario):
Technology integration, the incorporation of technology resources and technology-related practices into the daily routines, work, and management of schools, is an essential component of 21st century schools. One of the most important aspects of technology integration is the role that principals play. Despite the importance of this role, many principals report that their preparation programs did not fully prepare them to lead a technology integration effort. One program designed to assist principals is the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI). Using International Society for Technology in Education's National Educational Technology Standards for Administrators (NETS-A) as a guide, AMSTI provides training to principals in technology integration. In an effort to describe the role of the principal in leading a technology integration initiative in 21st century schools, five AMSTI principals who exhibited excellence in technology integration were selected. Data were collected through interviews and observations and then transcribed, coded, and analyzed. From the analysis four themes emerged: lead by example, provide technology opportunities, minimize hindrances, and train regularly. Research questions were answered based on analysis of data. Several conclusions were formed by answering the research questions. Principals who were successful in leading a technology integration initiative had a shared vision that included a plan and goals for an initiative. They led by example and got faculty to believe in the merits of the initiative. Principals also showed a willingness to learn and provided resources such as training and technology for students and faculty. The final report serves as a resource for those charged with leading a technology integration initiative in 21st century schools.

Haslop, Dennis. "Team leader autonomy in manufacturing companies' new product development". Thesis, Brunel University, 1996. http://bura.brunel.ac.uk/handle/2438/1364.

Testo completo
Abstract (sommario):
Management writers have emphasised that both new product development and innovation need to be stimulated in corporations if they are to prosper (Kanter, 1983; Lawrence and Dyer, 1983; Ouchi, 1981; Pascale and Athos, 1981) and they have focused mainly on issues of marketing and organisational behaviour and only to a limited extent on job autonomy. In the thesis aspects of team leader autonomy in new product development companies are investigated critically and empirically. The empirical study is based on data obtained from fifteen semi-structured interviews and two questionnaire surveys. The problems of managing and monitoring team leaders is discussed and conceptually represented in an improved definition of 'autonomy' originally proposed by Bailyn (1985). Autonomy is characterized in multi-dimensional terms and provides a new approach to understanding the complexity of team leader autonomy. Following a review of the literature and a grounded theory analysis of the pilot interview data, a number of common manifestations of autonomy were identified and subdivided into 'operational' and 'strategic' components. The findings of the pilot and main questionnaire studies into the level of team leader autonomy granted by top management are reported and analysed using correspondence analysis. 'Strategic' autonomy is found to reside primarily with senior management whilst team leaders are delegated more 'operational' autonomy. The literature on innovation cautions against too much hierarchical control but also draws attention to the top management dilemma of exercising responsibility and control of strategic tasks without stifling employees' technical competence and entrepreneurialism. A major finding from the main study is that in high technology types of company, management shares 'strategic" responsibilities with the team leader more than in other types of company. Top management cannot abrogate responsibility for directing and managing the company but, it is argued, a number of the strategic tasks could become more the responsibility of the team leader.

Testo completo
Abstract (sommario):
Approximately 64% of nonprofit leaders struggle to connect with supporters through fund initiatives alone, and 59% of nonprofit leaders lack the marketing communication capability to attract new donors. Fundraising is vital to nonprofit organizations' sustainability and essential for successfully attracting new donors. The purpose of this qualitative single case study was to explore effective external communication strategies used by 3 southern California nonprofits through the conceptual lens of the integrated marketing communications theory. Data were gathered using semistructured interviews, a review of organizational documents and online databases, and the Baldrige Excellence Framework. The data were analyzed using Yin's 5-step process. The two key themes that emerged were process strengths and process opportunities. The results of this study could contribute to positive social change by helping organizations strengthen external communications strategies to increase new donors and financial capital to achieve mission goals.

Abstract (sommario):
More and more firms are establishing strategic alliances and networks in an attempt to acquire the necessary resources to attend to increasing market requirements, and, thus, create sustainable competitive advantage. Considering this context, the present study aims at analyzing the tendencies of leading firms in Brazil with respect to their strategic alliances and networks. It is part of a wider research which objective is to develop and test conceptual tools for strategic analyses that can contribute to the decision-making of executives in Brazil related to companies that operate in strategic networks of alliances. The study was carried out by way of an extensive literature review as well as a survey about the perceptions of the CEOs in 230 leading firms in the country regarding their strategic alliances and networks. It confirmed that a great majority of the leading firms in Brazil have indeed established strategic alliances and that approximately one third of them also operate in strategic networks. It also helped revealing a deficiency in a large number of firms that could constitute a significant barrier to the effectiveness of their alliances and networks: the lack of measures and indicators regarding alliance and network performance, especially with respect to intangible benefits, such as social and informational capital that they can potentially offer.

Bolton, Rebecca S. "Post-Succession Leadership| Factors Affecting New Leader Ability to Impact Change". Thesis, University of Maryland University College, 2017. http://pqdtopen.proquest.com/#viewpdf?dispub=10275772.

Abstract (sommario):

Executive level turnover is an unavoidable challenge for organizations in every sector. The challenges associated with leadership turnover have been explored in a variety of contexts, most frequently focused on how turnover impacts organizational performance, yet very little research has focused on post-succession leadership. This evidence based dissertation found that a transitioning leader’s efforts to affect change impacts performance and identified those factors that impact a post-succession executive leader’s ability to implement change.

Current research focuses on whether or not leadership turnover affects performance and whether or not the performance is affected negatively or positively. There is a lack of consistency in the findings that turnover itself impacts performance or that turnover either has a negative or positive effect. This inconsistency in overall findings suggests that the impact on performance following a leadership transition is not due to the transition itself, but other factors. One of the primary leadership actions taken to affect performance following executive-level leadership transition is the new leader’s initiation of change during the transitional period.

This dissertation to provide context as to how leadership actions affect change in a post-transition organizational environment and thereby impact performance following an executive-level turnover. Through systematic review of 53 articles, including primary research studies and gray literature, studies identified 19 elements that pointed to the leader’s ability to influence the organization, the organization’s susceptibility to the leader’s influence, and the methodology the new leader uses to influence. An assessment tool for post-transition leaders was developed to assist in informing executive-level leader’s change initiatives following a leadership succession.

Abstract (sommario):
The Covid-19 pandemic posed many problems for politicians worldwide, but it also offered an opportunity for some politicians of a populist nature to exploit public fears and tensions by scapegoating migrants, minorities or other countries. In this chapter we follow Moffitt’s (2016) analysis of 21st century populism, in which he shows how crises are constructed discursively by populist leaders, who then stir up antagonism against certain out-groups whom they hold to be responsible for the crisis, and exploit the ensuing polarization in order to gain support. We examine four cases of political exploitation of fake news in which migrants were held responsible for spreading the Covid-19 virus or benefiting from treatment or vaccines before members of the in-group. These four cases are from very different cultural settings (Germany, Spain, Lebanon and India), and they all focus on multimodal evidence. Our analysis shows how each populist leader exploits existing cultural tensions and multimodal repertoires to persuade his/her audience. Although populist politicians draw on a wide range of different visual and textual manifestations embedded into different cultural settings, it is possible to identify certain common key strategies that characterize populist communication in times of crisis.

Abstract (sommario):
AbstractThe new normal is a new order created to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic, a new habit built on adaptation to promote a clean and healthy lifestyle. The pandemic is a real-life example of a volatile-uncertain-complex-ambiguous (VUCA) world. It has resulted in huge changes in leadership and management of business entities. The goal of this study is to analyze digital leader characteristics from related digital leadership papers on the world wide web and develop a digital leader framework. Google Scholar was used as a web browser tool to collect data. The study’s keywords included digital leadership, digital leaders, digital leader characteristics, digital leader qualities, digital leader traits, leadership traits for a new normal age, and leadership skill for a new normal age. The synthesis matrix techniques with congruence index of sources technique have been used to analyze the content of the literature review. For further model development, the accuracy of essential aspects from at least three sources was required. This study discovered 61 high-quality digital leaders from seven journals. The finalized digital leader characteristics have been synthesized and analyzed by using congruence index criterion, which requires a minimum three sources. According to the findings of this study, ten characteristics of digital leaders met this criterion: innovative visionary, digital intelligence, agile, role model, diversity champion, creative, knowledge-oriented, digital talent scout, employee-oriented, and business intelligence. These characteristics were used to develop a model called “Ten Characteristics of a Digital Leader for the New Normal Age.”

Abstract (sommario):
An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a logical address that is used by the router to identify a device on a network. An IP version 4 (IPv4) address is composed of 32 bits that are split into 4 octets of 8 bits each. Each IPv4 address is encoded using decimal notation giving the address the appearance of being composed of 4 integers. As such IPv4 addresses range from 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255 with 232 or 4294967296 possible addresses. An IP version 6 (IPv6) address is composed of 128 bits that are split into 8 octets of 16 bits each. Each IPv6 address is encoded using hexadecimal notation giving the address the appearance of being composed of 32 alphanumeric characters. As such IPv6 addresses range from 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000 to FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF: FFFF:FFFF with 2128 or 340282366920938463463374607431768211456 possible addresses. Infrastructureless Networks are distributed networks where no sense of infrastructure is present in the network. As such, no central server or administrative device is present and each device operates as a client and a server. When such infrastructureless networks are used for sharing news and social interactions, it is defined as an Infrastructureless Social Network. Hence given the finite set of public IP addresses available to devices on Infrastructureless Social Networks and the dynamic nature of Infrastructureless Social Networks, there is a need to conserve public IP addresses on such networks. Therefore, this work proposes the Law of Conservation of IP Addresses and uses Infrastructureless Social Networks as a test base. The proposed Law of Conservation of IP Addresses states that a public IP address cannot be created nor destroyed but rather redistributed by a DHCP Server from one end device to another. Based upon this proposed law, Infrastructureless Social Networks are used as the testing ground for testing the proposed law. In Infrastructureless Social Networks, one approach by which public IP addresses are normally assigned is based upon some form of grouping or clustering. In the group, the group leader is used as the administrator of the group and is normally charged with distributing the IP addresses to members of the group. The public IP addresses are assigned based upon those that are available on the network and hence are not created as the Law of Conservation of IP Addresses proposed above. When each device leaves the network, the device releases the public IP address back to the network and it is once again available for use by a device. Hence the public IP address is not destroyed. If the group leader leaves the network, the members of the group appoint a new group leader and the public IP address is updated accordingly. Even though there is no central device, each end device acts as a DHCP server and distributes addresses as they join and leave the network. Hence the Infrastructureless Social Networks have proven to be an excellent testbed for the Law of Conservation of IP Addresses. As such the conclusion is that the Law of Conservation of IP addresses aptly describes how public IP addresses are assigned and have proven its applicability to the world of Infrastructureless Social Networks.

Abstract (sommario):
The run-up to a full-scale U.S. military attack on Iraq - “shock and awe” -- provided an unusual and ideal test the effectiveness of a parsimonious content analysis methodology designed to determine when a national leader made or would make a decision to go to war. As W. Ben Hunt’s work that is the model for this study anticipated, editorials in The Wall Street Journal clearly ramped up war fever with not only the number of “get to it, George” editorials but also with the language. Critical editorials ad-vised/urged/demanded Bush to get on with the second phase of the long-planned remaking of the Middle East -- taking out Saddam Hussein. The paper links several aspects of post-Cold War, postmodern American life -- low levels of knowledge, use of poll data throughout society, declining news consumption and others -- to paint a picture of a newly vulnerable society, one willing - polls would indicate - to listen to and follow clear, perhaps simplistic, policies even to the point of a pre-emptive strike on a small nation that many could not locate on a map.

Abstract (sommario):
Dramatic news headlines imply that the use of additive manufacturing/3D printing in medicine is a brand new way to save and improve lives. The truth is, it’s not so new. Twenty years ago anatomical models were beginning to be used for planning complicated surgeries. In 2000, hearing aid cases were being 3D-printed and within a few years became industry standard. Medical applications have been a leader in taking 3D printing technology far beyond a product development tool. The combination of using medical imaging data to create patient-matched devices and the ability to manufacture structures difficult to produce with traditional technologies is compelling to an industry always looking for ways to innovate. Surgical uses of 3D printing-centric therapies have a long history beginning with anatomical modeling for bony reconstructive surgery planning[8]. By practicing on a tactile model before surgery surgeons were more prepared and patients received better care. Patient matched implants were a natural extension of this work, leading to truly personalized implants that fit one unique individual[10]. Virtual planning of surgery and guidance using 3D printed, personalized instruments have been applied to many areas of surgery including total joint replacement and craniomaxillofacial reconstruction with great success[9,11]. Further study of the use of models for planning heart and solid organ surgery has lead to increased use in these areas[14]. Finally, hospital-based 3D printing is now of great interest and many institutions are pursuing adding this specialty within individual radiology departments[12,13]. Despite these successful areas of application, widespread use has been fairly slow. Working toward increasing the use of 3D printing in medicine, industry professionals, clinicians, technology developers, and researchers[1] are working together to first identify the challenges and then develop tools and resources to address these challenges.

Abstract (sommario):
When each person encounters the notion of leader, they have their own glossary to define this notion, but each time they are usually focused on their own experience gained during life, school, university, gang and work. Leaders are in any team or group, but we see that these assumptions about who would be a leader and what leadership is are wrong. The leader is not exactly if he has a leadership position, if he has a long career, if he has extraordinary achievements, if he is charismatic, if he has power, if he is influential or if he is appointed manager. Manager is not synonymous with leader, the person can have any of these qualities, but that does not automatically mean that he is a leader. Institutional leaders are responsible for defining the company. They create the vision, mission and values of the company they identify with in the market. They develop business and market strategy, set work priorities and strategic business tools. They set major goals for the rest of the company's leadership. They are driving change. Team leaders are responsible for achieving its results. Individual leaders are responsible for carrying out their work in a team spirit.

Abstract (sommario):
At the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), our research suggests that leadership is a social process. That is, leadership is neither a matter of one’s inherent traits nor something that’s bestowed based on one’s job title. With leadership as a social process, one way to support leadership development is through conversational analysis, which captures the dialogue that unfolds among individuals as they strive towards shared outcomes. We developed a wearable technology system (i.e., HiFi, which is short for high-fidelity) and are pilot testing this system within one of CCL’s flagship programs – Leading for Organizational Impact (LOI). In the LOI program for executives and senior leaders, HiFi plays a significant role in helping leaders work more effectively across boundaries, increase their self-awareness, and understand how measured behaviors impact their perceived influence and effectiveness. Leaders want concrete actions they can take to improve their leadership skills. Using this innovative technology and evidence-based metrics, CCL provides behavioral insight into how leader conversations directly result in specific outcomes. For example, we can quantify how much a leader’s boundary spanning conversations contribute to the amount of influence they are afforded by their colleagues. Such insight can be a provocative tool that leaders use to enact behavioral change upon returning to their own organizations. In service of better leadership, conversations are a key lever for leader development.

Abstract (sommario):
The global tide of populism will leave a profound mark on Turkey. The ruling Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) success during the past two decades, has hinged on Islamist authoritarian populism and been driven by its long-time leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. “New Turkey” is now a reality. The AKP has been successful at dismantling the Kemalist ideals – ironically, perhaps, by using similarly repressing techniques, such as cracking down on civil liberties and democratic rights.

Abstract (sommario):
"A recent industry trend survey of CEOs found that only 11% of organizations report having a strong enough bench to fill leadership roles (Rhyne, 2021). As such, effective leadership development is an imperative for any high-performing organization. Rather than focusing time, money, and energy on only a small subset of “high-potential” employees, organizations can realize the full potential of their entire workforce by providing tech-enabled leadership development to leaders at all levels. This paper shares the following insights for Chief Learning Officers interested in leveraging evidence-based practices to accelerate leader development at scale and unlock the collective potential of their workforce: • A brief overview of why we need new ways to develop leaders and a high-level description of the new digital assessment and development tools that meet individuals where they are – offering a highly personalized approach to development in-the-flow of work. • A review of eight research-based learning practices that provide a foundation for leveraging technology to make in-the-flow leadership development better, faster, and more accessible to leaders at all levels. For every learning practice, we provide implementation tips and discuss illustrative example tools. • We conclude with a discussion around the strategic use of the eight learning practices for enabling better organization-wide development outcomes.
