Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie znaczenia trzech kopiariuszy i inwentarzy ruchomości i nieruchomości kościoła i klasztoru w Szczyrzycu. Dokumenty te można również uznać za kroniki i źródła z pierwszej ręki do dziejów klasztoru cystersów w Szczyrzycu. Pierwszy egzemplarz księgi, zatytułowany Inventarium praediorum, pecorum, villarum..., został sporządzony w 1643 r., prawdopodobnie przez przeora o. Zygmunta Strychowskiego. Najwcześniejszym i najcenniejszym z trzech zachowanych kodeksów jest drugi egzemplarz, zatytułowany De Origine et Fundatione Monasterii Ciricensis..., A.D. 1627, opatrzony podpisem o. Zygmunta Strychowskiego. Wreszcie trzecia kopiariusza, zawierająca zaledwie dziesięć nienumerowanych stron, dołączona do dokumentu Testimonium Ex Libro Beneficiorum Dioecesis Cracoviensis de Monasterio ac Ecclesiae Erectione primo in Ludźmierz Anno Domini 1234 ac tandem translationis eorundem post deccennium in Szczyrzyc Anno 1234. Innym ważnym źródłem do dziejów klasztoru cystersów w Szczyrzycu są kopiariusze, czyli kroniki Provisio I i Provisio II, spisane przez przeora o. Bernarda Reydlewicza. Niezastąpionym źródłem do ekonomii klasztoru jest XVIII-wieczny inwentarz Revisio Praediorum, Inventariorum... napisany przez przeorów Antoniego Stawskiego, Stefana Poznańskiego i Mikołaja Dybczyńskiego oraz prowizora Alberyka Siewierkowskiego. W artykule wymieniono wszystkie zachowane inwentarze gospodarcze konwentu szczyrzyckiego, które stanowią unikalny zapis gospodarki dworskiej. Na koniec krótko wspomniano również o Liber Mortuorum... Anno Domini 1641 oraz Inventarium Cijrzickiego Kościoła... Anno Domini 1727.

Niniejszy artykuł ma za cel ukazanie genezy kultury florealnej na Półwyspie Apenińskim, która do dziś jest bardzo żywa i stanowi istotny element tradycji w wielu włoskich miastach i miejscowościach. Zwyczaj zdobienia dywanami kwiatowymi uroczystości Bożego Ciała sięga XVIII wieku, choć pierwsze wzmianki o takowych dekoracjach pochodzą z okresu Baroku. To zapewne z terenu dzisiejszych Włoch elementy kultury florealnej zostały przeszczepione na ziemie okupowanej Rzeczpospolitej w XIX wieku.

XI. Este artículo ofrece una investigación acerca de cómo las sociedades locales aparecen representadas en la documentación del monasterio de Oseira antes y después de su fundación (1025-1199). A partir del estudio de las tradiciones diplomáticas y gráficas ursarienses, así como de una lectura histórica de sus textos, este trabajo confirma la existencia de un filtro monástico que se hace presente en los documentos en los que interviene directamente el monasterio desde el momento de su fundación. Además de resaltar cómo dicho filtro se intuye en los múltiples aspectos que conforman la génesis documental (desde la materialidad de los propios diplomas a la redacción de su contenido o a su estructura diplomática), se ofrecen también varios estudios de caso que destacan cómo la información acerca de las sociedades locales se ve relegada una vez establecidos los intereses propios de la institución monástica. El corpus seleccionado para este estudio, que incluye documentación previa a la fundación del monasterio, así como aquella inmediatamente posterior, confirma que dicho filtro afecta principalmente, aunque no exclusivamente, a la documentación producida con posterioridad a la fundación monástica.

Исследование направлено на выявление основных характеристик, определяющих лексико-семантические особенности праздничных текстов на примерах, тематически относящихся к существующему в католической традиции празднику il Corpus Domini (Тела Христова). Основой для работы явились три текста на итальянском языке, написанные от имени католической церкви. Основное внимание уделено сопоставительно-аналитическому разбору изучаемых текстов. Проведен этимологический анализ основных слов, связанных с понятием «праздник» вообще и с рассматриваемым праздником в частности. Определено семантическое наполнение данного понятия, выделены особо значимые единицы, прослежена и выстроена его внешняя схема (концептосфера). Проведен дискурсивный анализ текстов по трем признакам (поликодовость, время, языковая личность). Определены основные черты, характеризующие особенности праздничных текстов и обеспечивающие их функционирование в пространстве праздника. The study aims at identifying the main characteristics that determine the lexical and semantic features of holiday texts through the description of the semantic field and the construction of the conceptual sphere of the concept “holiday” using the example of texts thematically related to the holiday il Corpus Domini existing in the Catholic tradition. The basis for the work was three texts in Italian, one way or another emanating on behalf of the Catholic Church: a message from Pope Benedict XVI about the feast of il Corpus Domini and about St. Juliana of Cornelia (2010), an article describing the holiday on the Vatican information website, and a list hymns of the arrival of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (Padua). The methodological basis of the study was a number of theoretical developments created by Russian researchers: the concept of the semantic field by S. N. Vinogradov, methods for analyzing the lexical composition of concepts (G. V. Tokarev, G. S. Shchur). The research, in a methodological sense, focuses on a comparative and analytical analysis of holiday texts: identifying lexical units according to partial affiliation, observing their functioning in the context of holiday texts, and forming the structure of holiday discourse. The authors analyzed the etymology of the main terms associated with the concept of “holiday” in general and related to the holiday il Corpus Domini in particular, determined the semantic content of the concept “holiday”, identified particularly significant units characterizing its conceptual composition, examined and modeled its external scheme (domain of a concept). The authors also performed a discourse analysis of the studied texts in Italian; on this basis, to model the polycode, they described the most significant words and analyzed the features of conveying the sense of time (chronotope), and studied the characteristics of the language personality of the holiday text. The main points that determined the lexical and semantic characteristics of holiday texts were: (1) the festive text contains code words that fix the basic meanings of the texts; (2) the festive text focuses on creating an atmosphere of celebration, which is achieved by the rare use of nouns of an elevated linguistic register; (3) the festive text allows a person to feel involved in distant events associated with the celebration; (4) knowledge of the history of the holiday helps a person form their picture of the world and understand their social role. The use of similar methods will allow identifying individual discourses in the festivity paradigm: ritualistic, ritual, ceremonial, religious.

Prendendo le mosse dalla letteratura sul soggiorno veneziano di Francesco Salviati (1539-1540), la tesi propone uno studio approfondito delle opere realizzate in laguna dal pittore e della rete culturale, politica e sociale ad esse sottesa. Grazie a una lunga e paziente ricerca presso l’Archivio di Stato di Venezia, è stato possibile riportare alla luce alcuni documenti inediti in grado di fornire nuovi spunti di riflessione sulla Deposizione del Corpus Domini, e soprattutto sulla committenza ad opera di Bernardo Moro, procuratore di San Marco.

Caterina Vigri (later Saint Catherine of Bologna) was a mystic, writer, teacher and nun-artist. Her first home, Corpus Domini, Ferrara, was a house of semi-religious women that became a Poor Clare convent and model of Franciscan Observant piety. Vigri's intensely spiritual decoration of her breviary, as well as convent altarpieces that formed a visual program of adoration for the Body of Christ, exemplify the Franciscan Observant visual culture. After Vigri's departure, it was transformed by d'Este women patrons, including Isabella da Aragona, Isabella d'Este and Lucrezia Borgia. While still preserving Observant ideals, it became a more elite noblewomen's retreat. Grounded in archival research and extant paintings, drawings, prints and art objects from Corpus Domini, this volume explores the art, visual culture, and social history of an early modern Franciscan women's community.

The Venetian lagoon’s geography isolated the city’s earliest convent complexes, but over time, networks of bridges and calli ultimately wove these monastic houses into the urban fabric. In Venice, as in most Italian cities, almost all convents founded during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries were sited around urban edges that were later filled in, although some were established within already densely developed areas, thereby altering the character of their neighborhood in significant ways. Focusing on the convents of Corpus Domini and Santa Lucia, which exemplify both foundation models, chapter 15 relies on archival documents, de’ Barbari’s View, and urban plans to examine neighborhood development, patterns of convent foundation, and architectural and urban adjacencies, revealing how the built environment shaped and was shaped by relationships between convent communities.

Abstract In 695Seaxburh, abbess of Ely, took an important decision. She ordered that the bones of her predecessor, Æthelthryth, who had died sixteen years earlier, be raised from their resting-place in the nuns’ cemetery and placed in the abbey church in a new shrine (locellus). Brethren from the monastery, ordered to go out and search for blocks of stone from which to make this sepulchre, returned with a sarcophagus beautifully made of white marble, which they had found outside the walls of the deserted Roman fortress of Grantchester. These preliminaries accomplished, the abbess proceeded to the solemn ceremony of raising the body. A tent was erected over the burialplace, and the whole congregation of the double monastery, divided into choirs of men and women, stood around it chanting psalms. The abbess and a few companions went inside and the onlookers heard a loud cry: ‘Sit glorianomini Domini’. The abbess in the act of raising her predecessor’s remains had discovered them to be incorrupt. Shortly afterwards the entrance to the tent was opened, a doctor was called, and Æthelthryth was seen lying on a bed like one asleep, the linen clothes in which her body had been wrapped as fresh and intact as on the day that they had first covered her body. The nuns washed the corpse, wrapped it in new robes, carried it to the church, and placed it within the new sarcophagus which the brethren had brought from Grantchester.

Abstract This oratorio, like Perti’s Beata Imelde (see Chapter 11) and Albergati’s L’iride di pace o sia il Beato Nicolo Albergati (1690), was composed in honour of a Bolognese saint. The embalmed body of Caterina de’Vigri had a place of honour in an ornate chapel in the church of the Poor Clares, Corpus Domini. Pirro Albergati, whose family palace lay in the same quarter of the city, com posed his oratorio about Caterina when the Catholic Church venerated her as a ‘Beata’. She was canonized and rose to the rank of ‘saint’ in 1712. That is why the composer, when he published the oratorio as part of his opus 10 in 1714, altered its title to Santa Catterina Vigri da Bologna.
