Abstract (sommario):
Abstract Recent approaches to data-to-text generation have adopted the very successful encoder-decoder architecture or variants thereof. These models generate text that is fluent (but often imprecise) and perform quite poorly at selecting appropriate content and ordering it coherently. To overcome some of these issues, we propose a neural model with a macro planning stage followed by a generation stage reminiscent of traditional methods which embrace separate modules for planning and surface realization. Macro plans represent high level organization of important content such as entities, events, and their interactions; they are learned from data and given as input to the generator. Extensive experiments on two data-to-text benchmarks (RotoWire and MLB) show that our approach outperforms competitive baselines in terms of automatic and human evaluation.

Abstract (sommario):
The paper is an attempt to shed light on one of the most interesting issues on the crossroads of pragmatics and text linguistics – presuppositional and logical structure of the text. The relevance of this study is determined by the fact that it unveils text architecture from a new angle – its micro-/macropresuppositional content. The research outcomes allow of the following statement – the semantic structure of the text largely owes to and depends on the macro-/micro-presuppositions of the text underlying it. The paper also clarifies the differences between the notions of micro-text and macro-text on the one hand and micro-presupposition and macro-presupposition on the other as these phenomena play a crucial role in text composition and progression.

Abstract (sommario):
The problem of textual credibility is considered in line with the theory of reference from the standpoint of a text’s grammar. The referential semantics of a text is determined by the type of discourse in which the text is generated. Subsequently, the criteria for credibility are discur sively conditioned. The article reveals the referential aspects of news media text as a “product” of news discourse with its accuracy and objectivity requirements to factually ascertain a message. To describe these characteristics, the concept of referential density of the text is introduced, which is revealed through macrostructural text analysis. The basic definitions of this analysis are provided, its methodology is described and its testing is carried out to explicate the degree of reference density of the text. The key terms of macrostructural analysis are the macro-textual position and the ways of filling it. The main macro-textual positions of the news media text are headline ↔︎ text, compositional-factual, compositional-logical, compositional-syntagmatic relations and stylistic perspective. The different ways of filling these positions reveal different degrees of factuality/interpretability, which can be located on the reference scale in a certain sequence. Scales for each macro-textual position are combined into a referential matrix of the text, graduated in the direction of decreasing reference density/increasing interpretability. Another way to visualize the results of macro-textual analysis is to construct a radar diagram, on which the referential focus of the text is especially evident. Using the example of three news reports of the Russian press, the analysis of the filling of macro-textual positions, of which reveals varying degrees of reference density, three types of referential focus of news media text are demonstrated: concentrated, shifted and diffused. The distinguished types reflect the corresponding referential types of news media text, the referential density of which is a “linguistic dimension” of its credibility.

Abstract (sommario):
Given a multi-valued function Φ : X ⊸ X on a topological space X we study the properties of its fixed fractal[Formula: see text], which is defined as the closure of the orbit Φω(*Φ) = ⋃n∈ωΦn(*Φ) of the set *Φ = {x ∈ X : x ∈ Φ(x)} of fixed points of Φ. A special attention is paid to the duality between micro-fractals and macro-fractals, which are fixed fractals [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] for a contracting compact-valued function Φ : X ⊸ X on a complete metric space X. With help of algorithms (described in this paper) we generate various images of macro-fractals which are dual to some well-known micro-fractals like the fractal cross, the Sierpiński triangle, Sierpiński carpet, the Koch curve, or the fractal snowflakes. The obtained images show that macro-fractals have a large-scale fractal structure, which becomes clearly visible after a suitable zooming.

Abstract (sommario):
Many Bible translations, including one in Mbyá Guarani of Brazil which this article takes as a case study, use natural target-language discourse patterns on &lquo;micro-levels” (within a thematic unit and usually within a sentence or two) but source-text patterns on “macro-levels.” Questions arise: Why should such a strategy be used? Why might it work? On macro-levels, how can readers understand what is presented with source-text patterns? And on micro-levels, how can a translation claim to communicate the author’s original intent when its discourse functions—not just its forms—are radically different from those of the source text? This article explores such questions and proposes answers using concepts from such diverse areas as general cognition, text processing, genre innovation, information structure, indices of markedness and reader confidence.

Abstract (sommario):
George Orwell is best known for his allegorical political novel, Animal Farm (1945), written in the period of Modernism in English literature. This novel is read as an offensive on totalitarianism in general, and a political satire against Stalinism Communist totalitarianism in particular. The current paper is conducted to investigate the relationship between the micro-universe which is represented by the narrative text of Orwell's novel Animal Farm, and macro-universe which represents the reality or the real world. The main aim of this study is to determine the interconnection of the micro-universe (the narrative text), and the macro-universe (the reality) through finding a convergence between the topics and events of the narrative text and our real world. Marxist Criticism and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) are used together as analytical approaches to investigate the selected narrative text and the historical, political, and social context in which the narrative text was written. The findings of this study points out that the narrative text of Animal Farm represents reality. This confirms the social and moral function of the committed literature which expresses human sufferings and aspirations for better conditions. The significance of the current study lies in provides better comprehension of the interconnection of the narrative text and reality as a missing feature in literature on this novel. This study contributes to literature on Orwell's novel Animal Farm particularly, and the field of the political English novels in general. Thus, this study extends the base of the researchers' knowledge in this literary area. Keywords: Micro-universe and Macro-universe, Modernism, Totalitarianism, Animal Farm.

Abstract (sommario):
This article sets out to describe the relationship between mental spaces and text coherence. When a reader interprets a text he mentally divides it into smaller parts, so-called mental spaces. The question is how texts cohere in spite of the fact that the mental spaces in principle work against text coherence because of their dividing function. The article will show that text reference helps to establish text coherence but only the macro level makes the text fully cohere.

Abstract (sommario):
Background. Clinical named entity recognition is the basic task of mining electronic medical records text, which are with some challenges containing the language features of Chinese electronic medical records text with many compound entities, serious missing sentence components, and unclear entity boundary. Moreover, the corpus of Chinese electronic medical records is difficult to obtain. Methods. Aiming at these characteristics of Chinese electronic medical records, this study proposed a Chinese clinical entity recognition model based on deep learning pretraining. The model used word embedding from domain corpus and fine-tuning of entity recognition model pretrained by relevant corpus. Then BiLSTM and Transformer are, respectively, used as feature extractors to identify four types of clinical entities including diseases, symptoms, drugs, and operations from the text of Chinese electronic medical records. Results. 75.06% Macro-P, 76.40% Macro-R, and 75.72% Macro-F1 aiming at test dataset could be achieved. These experiments show that the Chinese clinical entity recognition model based on deep learning pretraining can effectively improve the recognition effect. Conclusions. These experiments show that the proposed Chinese clinical entity recognition model based on deep learning pretraining can effectively improve the recognition performance.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract This paper introduces a paired text history methodology to explore the citation practices of three experienced Russian scholars in philosophy, sociology, and economics. The empirical focus is on the analysis of three paired text histories, comparing Russian-medium research articles with English-medium research articles in each discipline. By analyzing the paired text histories through the use of multiple data sources – article drafts, email correspondence surrounding text production, and interviews – focusing specifically on the changes made to citations in each pair, the paper seeks to throw light on both micro and macro level knowledge production practices. At the micro level, the paper analyses changes made to citations across English and Russian-medium texts, documenting the involvement of literacy brokers, their evaluative requests about citations, and authors’ responses to such requests. At the macro level, the paper raises questions about what counts as ‘citeworthy’ in different geolinguistic contexts and considers the consequences of citation brokering and citation practices for knowledge production and circulation globally.

Abstract (sommario):
As well as a result of cultural perception, humour can also be seen as a kind of text representing the culture of society which produces it. The humour column of “Si Palui” in Banjarmasin Post is not an exception. Reflecting the culture of the people of Banjar, the stories in Si Palui are strongly related to women and how men, as the dominant gender in Banjar culture, deal with women in daily life. Inasmuchas text is firmly connected with discourse, using Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis, in this paper I will see the discourse of gender relation in Si Palui on three levels—micro (text), mezzo (text producent), and macro (sociocultural). On micro level the representation is seen from the using of language. On the second level, mezzo, how women are represented is studied from the view point of the text producent, namely Banjarmasin Post. Meanwhile on the third level which is macro, the representation of women in Si Palui is comprehended from broader perspective, namely the Banjar culture which can not be separated from Islam Banjar. It is concluded from this research that: (1) On micro level men are always more dominant than women, (2) on mezzo level the sexist humor of Si Palui is strongly related to the fact that all of the writer of Si Palui are men, and (3) on macro level, the gender relation narrated on Si Palui is firmly connected with patriarchal ideology adopted by the people of Banjar, which is legitimated by Islam Banjar.

Abstract (sommario):
We forecast inflation using a large news corpus and machine learning methods. Over 3.9 million daily newspaper headlines from January 2001 to June, 2023 are decomposed into monthly time series and integrated with machine learning models to predict inflation. The addition of Text mining in models outperformed the numerical predictions based on the machine learning models without text mining as published by the authors earlier in Das and Das (2024). In addition, the variable importance while analyzing the predictors provides further insights into new variables came out from text mining for which structured data was not available earlier. A dictionary of words sentimental to inflation forecasting has been prepared possibly for the first time. The forecasting model that used text words sentimental to inflation as additional inputs in artificial neural network performed better than all the other models in terms of forecast accuracy. Overall, we provide a novel representation of improvements in adding text mining in machine learning models in inflation forecasting.

This study aims to describe the macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure of political news discourse in the Palopo Pos newspaper. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data source of this research is the political news discourse in Palopo Pos newspaper 23 and 24 February 2018. The research data are excerpts, words, clauses, phrases, sentences, and discourse contained in the political news of Palopo Pos newspaper 23 and 24 February 2018. The object of this research is the macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure of political news discourse. Data obtained by reading and note taking techniques. The results of research on the political news Palopo Pos published 23 and 24 February 2018 are divided into three structures, namely the macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure. In the research on the micro structure of news text discourse, many attitudes of journalists were found to support the Palopo Pos political news text discourse. This shows that the ideology of a journalist greatly influences the formation of a news text. Journalists disguise their alignments in the news discourse by using these elements. With the discourse strategy, journalists can implicitly or explicitly state their ideology and guide public opinion in the direction journalists expect.

Abstract (sommario):
This research paper aimed at investigating translation shifts in two Arabic translations of Gibran’s The Prophet, using Leuven-Zwart’s comparative and descriptive model. The main objective of this paper was to identify the micro structural shifts that induced shifts on the macro structural level and to analyze their consequences on the general meaning of the original text with an attempt to explore the potential factors behind them. In this respect, it followed an analytical, descriptive and comparative methodology, analyzing (23) examples taken from the source text (ST) and its target texts (TTs). In spite of the relatively limited sample, it offered valuable insights into the crucial importance of having sufficient knowledge about the author’s philosophy, high proficiency in the TL, and adequate determination of translation purpose upon the original text’s purpose. The findings revealed, through many occasions, that unlike Naimy, Bashir’s having no close friendship with Gibran and also no appropriate competency in the target language (TL) led him making big macro shifts. Most importantly, the findings also confirmed in some occasions that they both took the translation purpose differently with a view to create an impact on determined target readers and thus adversely affecting the macro message and purpose of the original text as a whole.

Abstract (sommario):
Text analysis-based models have achieved outstanding results in fake news detection tasks in recent years, which is closely linked to the quantity and quality enhancement of feature information extracted from the text. Drawing upon the existing semantic detection frameworks, studies in this field concentrate on extracting various textual information through a solitary auxiliary feature, text stance feature or sentiment feature. However, it is challenging to depict the general attributes of the text using a single auxiliary feature, which frequently results in missing essential details and leaves problems with stance distortion and emotional resonance. To tackle the problem, this study proposes a joint model for identifying fake news, incorporating numerous textual characteristics. By extracting and blending various aspects of text features, i.e., semantic, stance and sentiment features, a more detailed and effective joint analysis of textual information is attained, resulting in improved performance in fake news detection. On the RumourEval-17 datasets, our model attains the Macro F1 Score of 0.891, surpassing current models for detecting rumors. Additionally, our model obtains a Macro F1 Score of 0.904 on the latest COVID-19 dataset, demonstrating strong competitiveness and promising prospects for fake news detection.

Abstract (sommario):
Text pre-processing is an important component of a Chinese text classification. At present, however, most of the studies on this topic focus on exploring the influence of preprocessing methods on a few text classification algorithms using English text. In this paper we experimentally compared fifteen commonly used classifiers on two Chinese datasets using three widely used Chinese preprocessing methods that include word segmentation, Chinese specific stop word removal, and Chinese specific symbol removal. We then explored the influence of the preprocessing methods on the final classifications according to various conditions such as classification evaluation, combination style, and classifier selection. Finally, we conducted a battery of various additional experiments, and found that most of the classifiers improved in performance after proper preprocessing was applied. Our general conclusion is that the systematic use of preprocessing methods can have a positive impact on the classification of Chinese short text, using classification evaluation such as macro-F1, combination of preprocessing methods such as word segmentation, Chinese specific stop word and symbol removal, and classifier selection such as machine and deep learning models. We find that the best macro-f1s for categorizing text for the two datasets are 92.13% and 91.99%, which represent improvements of 0.3% and 2%, respectively over the compared baselines.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper investigates how internet memes are complex and stratified objects, going beyond the standardized definition of ‘image macro’ habitually employed by scholars. To this end, we take the 2019 Italian government crisis as a case study and analyze a dataset of related 1.269 memes using a combination of computational and qualitative methodologies. Our analysis shows the emergence, proliferation, and fading of popular templates, which remix images and text from the political crisis and occasionally serve as frames for other events: the Contingent Macro. Together with less standardized memetic instances, we found that Contingent Macros concur to create metaphoric narratives, which develop as the event unfolds. Besides formalizing the concept of Contingent Macro, this work provides scholars with a methodological toolkit for the analysis of event-related meme production, which can capture the fluidity of memes. Overall, the article concurs to underline the need for a clear, context-specific definition of memes, tailored to specific social, cultural, and research contexts.

Abstract (sommario):
An intertext (e.g. Home Smart Home) adopts or adapts an earlier source text (e.g. Home Sweet Home) in such a way that the intertextual meaning can be constructed or appreciated in terms of the source text. This article explores variations in the use of intertexts across six English newspapers in different macro contexts. Drawn from the six newspapers were 1,681 full-length news stories, from which 253 intertexts were identified. The ensuing intertextual and macro-contextual analyses of the identified intertexts show that (i) they were largely situated in the context of a large newspaper for speakers of English as a native/official language, (ii) the most adaptable intertextual sources are formulaic expressions, media products, and literary and scholarly works, (iii) intertexts tend to appear in salient discourse units (namely, the headline, lead, and coda) to realize a pragmatic act, and (iv) formal intertexts find greater affordance of playfulness in salient discourse units and in native-speaking contexts than the other intertexts. The survey and analyses have shed some light on the affordance between intertexts and their macro contexts.

Abstract (sommario):
This study aimed to describe the President's speech text as a critical discourse analysis taken on the Indonesian Republic Secretariat Cabinet website, conveyed by Ir. Joko Widodo as the 7th president of the Republic of Indonesia. The methodology used by the researchers was a descriptive qualitative method. This textual content analysis is base on Van Dijk's design by which the research unit section is divide into three parts: macro-structure, supra structure and microstructure. The study revealed that the textual content was analyzed thematically or the discourse's subject in the macro-structure. The theme of Jokowi's speech was about Indonesia's excellence. It can be seen clearly from almost all the paragraphs in the statement stating one general subject, namely, about Indonesia's superiority. Then, for the supra-structure, Jokowi's speech text is divided into three main elements: opening, content, and closing, which consisted of two opening paragraphs, eighteen content paragraphs, and two closing paragraphs. The last was microstructure. It was analyzed in a semantic way, which refers to the text's social meaning and the language modes used in the text. Semantically, the text of Jokowi's speech was analyzed from its setting, detail, intention, and presupposition. From Jokowi's information, this expression shows that the speech's overall form contained all the speeches delivered by him; opening, filling, and closing. What has become very clear to set Jokowi apart from many other international public figures is that he uses simple language. The things that Jokowi has brought can be an excellent lesson for people when speaking in front of the audience. Keywords: Critical Discourse Analysis, Jokowi’s Speech Text, Van Dijk’s Design

Abstract (sommario):
Dialogue, conflict, and context are paramount in the drama text. The research of these three things can reveal the meaning, aesthetics, and ideology that blend in the drama text. Drama text research has not obtained comprehensive results if it has not revealed all three. The purpose of this research is to find the dialogue model, conflict, and context in drama text by Arifin C. Noer. The approach used in this research is the critical discourse of Teun A. Van Dijk. Data are analyzed in three dimensions, namely text, social cognition, and social context through macro structures, superstructures, and microstructures. The global macro structure is reflected in the synopsis, the superstructure is seen from its builder elements, and the microstructure contains the use of language. The results of the microstructure research found that the dialogue can be configured in several models, i.e. by topic, principles of cooperation, principles of politeness, speech acts, and speech series. The conflict was created with a model of pragmatic, socio-psychology, and ideological principles use. The context model is the use of physical, epistemic, linguistic, and social context. The results of this research contribute to the increased appreciation of drama and reference texts in its teaching.

Abstract (sommario):
Assigning predefined classes to natural language texts, based on their content, is a necessary component in many tasks in organizations. This task is carried out by classifying documents within a set of predefined categories using models and computational methods. Text representation for classification purposes has traditionally been performed using a vector space model due to its good performance and simplicity. Moreover, the classification of texts via multilabeling has typically been approached by using simple label classification methods, which require the transformation of the problem studied to apply binary techniques, or by adapting binary algorithms. Over the previous decade, text classification has been extended using deep learning models. Compared to traditional machine learning methods, deep learning avoids rule design and feature selection by humans, and automatically provides semantically meaningful representations for text analysis. However, deep learning-based text classification is data-intensive and computationally complex. Interest in deep learning models does not rule out techniques and models based on shallow learning. This situation is true when the set of training cases is smaller, and when the set of features is small. White box approaches have advantages over black box approaches, where the feasibility of working with relatively small sets of data and the interpretability of the results stand out. This research evaluates a weighting function of the words in texts to modify the representation of the texts during multilabel classification, using a combination of two approaches: problem transformation and model adaptation. This weighting function was tested in 10 referential textual data sets, and compared with alternative techniques based on three performance measures: Hamming Loss, Accuracy, and macro-F1. The best improvement occurs on the macro-F1 when the data sets have fewer labels, fewer documents, and smaller vocabulary sizes. In addition, the performance improves in data sets with higher cardinality, density, and diversity of labels. This proves the usefulness of the function on smaller data sets. The results show improvements of more than 10% in terms of macro-F1 in classifiers based on our method in almost all of the cases analyzed.

Abstract (sommario):
The katoba ritual as a form of oral tradition from the Muna tribe is an integral part of the culture of the supporting community. The purpose of this study is to describe the structure of the ritual text speech of the Muna communities. The structure of the ritual speech utterances in this study is called the pogau toba text (PTT). This study uses a qualitative method with a Van Dijk structural approach that focuses on three frameworks of text structure, namely macro structure, superstructure, and microstructure. The results showed that 1) the macro structure, which is the overall meaning, global meaning, or general meaning of the PTT. The macro structure found in the PTT is the inauguration of a child as a Muslim. This is reflected in the pronunciation of the two words of the shahada of Asyhadu Allah ilaha Ilallah wa ashadu anna Muhammadar Rasulullah which marks a person's Islamic status; 2) superstructure, namely the four main flow structure of PTT in the context of the katoba ritual, namely opening “pembukaan”, toba conditions “syarat-syarat toba”, core of toba “inti toba”, and the closing “penutup”; and 3) microstructure, which is limited to the style of the PTT language, namely diction or choice of words in the katoba ritual emphasizing religious and moral elements that are concrete through the use of polite and gentle language, found also a parallelism in grammatical structure, and expressions metaphorical expressions that take the symbols of flora and fauna or other natural objects are presented to convey an idea, concept, or specific purpose.

Abstract (sommario):
The article deals with the problem of relation of two linguistic categories – interrogativity and text cohesion – in a literary text. The aim of the research is to study the role of ‘why’ questions in text cohesion in Waterland by G. Swift. As part of the study, a database of interrogative contexts was formed, which includes general questions, special questions and disjunctive questions. Methods of semantic analysis, stylistic analysis, contextual analysis, syntactical analysis were used in the research process. The paper provides the results of analysis conducted to reveal the functions of ‘why’ questions in text cohesion on the micro-level (lexical and semantical cohesion, syntactical cohesion) and macro-level (plot and composition, imagery, themes and idea) of the literary text. There were found means of text cohesion such as lexical and syntactical repetitions. On the level of lexis, such various types of repetition were discovered as complete lexical repetition, partial repetition, synonymic and antonymic repetition, deixis, repetition of the interrogative adverb ‘why’. On the level of syntax, the analysis demonstrates a tendency to formal incompleteness of interrogative structures, on the one hand, which allows us to assume an implicit type of text cohesion, and, on the other hand, a tendency to formal complexity of interrogative structures, with parenthetic clauses, adverbial participial phrases and homogeneous parts of the sentence being frequently used. Stylistic analysis of ‘why’ questions shows that anaphora, antithesis, syntactical parallelism, parenthesis, ellipsis and aposiopesis are among the means of text cohesion in the text under consideration. The analysis of the novel on the macro-level demonstrates that ‘why’ questions function in the plot development, facilitate semantical cohesion between chapters, form thematical and conceptual unity of the literary text, and serve to promote the unity of imagery. The author concludes that ‘why’ questions facilitate the processes of semantical and syntactical compression, which are considered the main mechanisms of text production.

Abstract (sommario):
Aiming at addressing the inability of traditional web technologies to effectively respond to Winter-Olympics-related user questions containing multiple intentions, this paper explores a multi-model fusion-based multi-intention recognition model BCNBLMATT to solve this problem. The model is proposed to address the characteristics of complex semantics, strong contextual relevance, and a large number of informative features of the Chinese problem text related to the Winter Olympics, as well as the limitations of the traditional word vector model, such as insufficient expression in the textual representation and the relative concern mechanism of feature expression. The BCNBLMATT model first obtains a comprehensive feature vector representation of the problem text through BERT. Then, a multi-scale text convolutional neural network model and a BiLSTM-Multi-heads attention model (a joint model combining a bidirectional long- and short-term attention network with a multi-head attention mechanism) are used to capture local features at more scales and contextually critical information features at more levels. Finally, the two obtained kinds of features are concatenated and fused to obtain richer and more comprehensive information about the problem text features, which improves the model’s performance in the multi-attention recognition task. Comparative experiments on the Winter Olympics Chinese question dataset and the MixATIS question dataset show that the BCNBLMATT model significantly improves the three metrics of macro-averaged precision, macro-averaged recall, and macro-averaged F1 value and exhibits better generalization. This study provides an effective solution to the multi-intent recognition task for Winter Olympic problems, overcomes the limitations of traditional models, and provides new ideas for improving the performance of multi-intent recognition.

Abstract (sommario):
Adopting Berrendonner’s (1990, 2002) and Berrendonner et al.’s (forthcoming) distinction between “micro-syntax” and “macro-syntax”, as well as the orthogonal dichotomy between foregrounded and backgrounded discourse segments (cf. Khalil 2005), this paper aims to examine certain “non-canonical” interactions amongst these domains. In particular, it analyses instances where a potential referent is evoked within a highly presupposed, discursively backgrounded text segment, but where that referent is targeted via an “anadeictic” indexical expression and may be made into a discourse entity in its own right. This last-mentioned use is characteristic of discourse deixis, but not of anaphora as such. The paper also examines larger stretches of text, which relate to each other discursively in terms of “macro-syntax”. The overall aim is to characterise the limits of discourse-anaphoric reference as a function of the degree of backgrounding or foregrounding of the discourse units in terms of which the referent is determined and targeted.

Abstract (sommario):
The study was to find and describe the structure of the news text on the arrest of the Front Pem-bela Islam chairman in cases of violating health protocols in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic on BBC News Indonesia and Kompas.com online media. The research was a descriptive qualitative by utilizing van Dijk's model with a social cognition approach focusing on the text schemes which included macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure. The research data were the fragments of discourse of articles on online media BBC News Indonesia and Kompas.com which contained news of healt protocals violations. The re-search applied listening technique and a note-taking technique as a follow-up. To check the re-search data, triangulation and interactive analysis techniques were needed to analyze the data. This study foud out that the online media BBC News Indonesia and Kompas.com had a macro structure regarding the arrest of Rizieq Shihab for violating one of the Covid 19 health protocols, that was gathering crowds. the superstructure was found in the introduction, content, and clos-ing; the microstructure section was found in semantics (background and intent), syntax (sentence forms and pronouns), lexicon, and graphics. The study concluded that according to the Teun A van Dijk scheme, the news on Rizieq Shihab's health protocol violations during the Covid 19 pandemic of BBC News Indonesia and Kompas.com had a macro text structure, superstructure, and micro structure.

The main problem of this reserach is the study of textual stucture in Hiyangan Wadian at death ceremony in Dayak Maanyan. In order to find and indentify the textual structure that build the Hiyangan Wadian in this ceremony, there are three textual sturcture by Van Dijk, such as macro structure, superstucture, and micro structure. Result of analysis on textual structure in the macro structure found that the main theme in Hiyangan kiaen tell about the journey stages to heaven that have to be passed by the spirit. The super structure of the text reveal that Hiyangan kiaen has three parts, opening part, content part and closing part. Result of analysis in the micro srtucture found that there are lexicosemantic paralelisms that reveal the words repetitions with the same meaning to emphasize that those words are important parts in the text.

Abstract (sommario):
One of the most important aspects of writing a meaningful text is to achieve its coherence within the text. This study evaluated students' argumentative essays' micro and macro-level coherence in the ESA WEEK writing competition. This research is a qualitative study in the form of a discourse analysis approach by using the theory through the lens of micro and macro-level coherence (Thornburry, 2005). This study reveals several findings. Almost all the texts are sufficient to have good logical relations. The most frequent connections are additive and causal ties. In terms of logical relationships, the most frequent pattern in the texts was the zig-zag pattern, and the rarely used was the multiple rheme pattern. Even though all patterns were in texts, some rogue sentences were still found in each text. The keywords could represent the texts' topic or theme in almost every paragraph. It made readers guess the main issue quickly. Some writers could build a schema well, but others could not. Most of the texts organized in argumentative essays structure has Introduction-Body-Conclusion. This study can be used as a consideration to write meaningful and coherent text and references in the same field of discourse analysis.

Abstract (sommario):
The current situation in economic activity is notable for exponential increase in accessible e-information and serious interest in its use in order to get competitive advantages. The article studies influence of information published in mass media on the essential social and economic indicators, which show key concepts of the system of strategic management in Russia. Methodological basis of the research was formed by theories of cognitive, topical modeling and regressive analysis. In the investigation the author used methods of topical modeling, machine education and statistical analysis of data. The author put forward the procedure of automated plotting of the cause-and-effect diagram based on qualitative and quantitative data. The system of causal links between key concepts of the system gave a chance to build forecast models of high accuracy. Findings of the research showed that topics being highlighted in mass media can influence social and economic indicators. Unfortunately, accidental events can make mathematic models, relying on system inertia, inadequate. In theoretical aspect the article proposes the procedure of automated building of the cause-and-effect diagram based on heterogeneous data, which can eliminate the problem of subjectivity of expert estimations in plotting cognitive maps. In applied aspect models of forecasting the most important social and economic indicators based on mass media publications were worked out that lean against cause-and-effect diagram and can support well-grounded managerial decisions and in case of necessity can affect the situation.

For the level of superstructure, in general Timor Express formulates headlines followed by leads consisting of script elements, which can be identified as: what, when, and who elements. Meanwhile, element why and how elements are in the news content (story). Macro structure is a thematic form of the Kupang city fire extinguishing service news text. The micro structure consists of semantics, syntactic, stylistic, rhetoric. In the microstructure of the news of the Kupang City fire service, the use of words that pointed to or reinforced news messages about the fire disaster that received fire services for the City of Kupang was found. In terms of social cognition, the aspect is realized in the form of journalists' mental awareness of a fire disaster that received services from the Kupang City fire service department. Timor Express journalists consider that fire is an unpredictable humanitarian disaster whose effects bring material losses in life. The social context relates to how a meaning is shared together. In accordance with the news text of the fire extinguishing service contains news of a fire accident and getting fire services from Kupang City.

To achieve this goal, the researcher utilized the following theories: 1) van Dijk's theory of Semantic Macrostructure (1980); to examine macro and micro structures of CNN's online news articles, 2) van Dijk's theory of Ideological Square (1998c); to examine CNN's ideologies embedded within its online news articles and 3) Wodak's Discourse- Historical Approach; to endorse linguistic and ideological analysis of CNN's online news article. Fairclough's three-dimensional Approach was utilized to organize the process of analysis. Within the linguistic analysis, macro and micro structures of CNN's online news articles were analyzed. At the macro level, the semantic macrostructure of CNN's text was outlined to determine its global meaning. At the micro level, the syntactic, lexical and rhetorical structures of CNN's text were examined to determine their local meaning. Within the ideological analysis, the CNN's online news text was analyzed to determine its ideological positive ''Self'' (in-group) and negative ''Other'' (out-group) presentations. The findings revealed that CNN's ideological orientations towards its positive "Self" and negative "Other" were varied as far as Egyptian conflict is concerned. Thus, it presented the Egyptian new authority as the positive identities while Muslim Brotherhood as the negative "Other'' identities.

Abstract (sommario):
The purpose of the paper is to identify ways to implement the speech macro strategy of praise to God for text material of the collection of Dutch evangelical psalms published in 1806. This article has three main parts. First, the article analyzes how the communicative intention of praise manifests itself in the prose text of the Preface to the Collection. Here the strategy is formulated in the third person; its implementation is most clearly observed in the initial and final positions of the text as the most communicatively loaded. Second, we consider ways in which a given strategy is implemented in the poetic texts of the psalms. In this perspective, the communicative task of glorifying the greatness of God is of the utmost importance; it is formulated directly on behalf of all believers using the following linguistic means and stylistic techniques: rhetorical exclamations and appeals to the Lord, rhetorical questions, lexical means of appropriate semantics and pragmatic potential. Third, the basic principles of interaction between the text of the psalms and the musical arrangement for the voice are discussed. The analysis allows us to conclude that with the help of harmonies and melodic drawing, the dictum and modus content of the poetic text is masterfully emphasized, the inner potential of meter and rhyme is more fully revealed. In general, the macro-strategy of praise has a dominant meaning and manifests itself in many aspects in the contamination of verbal and musical language.

Abstract (sommario):
Text production research tends to analyse corpora of text products as its data. However, for the aim of investigating especially text production processes, such an approach falls short; a written text does its best to hide any traces of its genesis. This article argues for a holistic approach in text production research by presenting five methodological guidelines for future research: 1) what/how-research questions need to be followed by why-questions, and such research frameworks require 2) several methods to be applied in order to 3) encompass both product and process perspectives, 4) reveal material, mental and social activities, and 5) move from micro-level activities towards macro-level contexts. The holistic approach is empirically illustrated by drawing on a study on journalistic quoting (Haapanen 2017a).

Abstract (sommario):
The study of Asbabun Nuzul as seen by some scholars is very important to be used in interpreting the texts of the Qur’an. Mufassir scholars never separated from a historical text of the Koran. However, the use of the asbabun nuzul qur’an theory of classical clerics often only looks at the context of the fall of the verse so that among some contemporary thought try to reconstruct the asbabun nuzul qur’an theory in this present era. Specifically, interpreting the text of the Qur’an through its history by looking at several structures namely, First, Seeing asbabun nuzul qur’an macro. Second, see the asbabun nuzul qur’an micron in determining the true values of the Qur’an. The approach used in this paper is the literature study approach to find various concepts of Asbabun Nuuz theory through books, journals, and so on. the conclusion is that the asbabun nuzul al-Qur’an theory basically does not only refer to the historical context of the fall of verses in earlier times, but is contextualized with the relation between macro and micro to find meaning and values in the substance of the text of the verse

Abstract (sommario):
COVID-19 has become one of the most highly orated subject matter in these days. Countries have taken many viable actions to prevent the spread of the virus directed by international recommendations, which led to many disputes concerning wearing a face mask as a preventive measure against the virus. This study aims to assess and compare the overall accuracy, macro precision, macro F-measure and macro recall of the different decision models towards the COVID-19 mask-wearing practices via sentiment analysis. Tweets are labeled and text pre-processing techniques are applied as stemming, normalization, tokenization, and stop-word removal. Subsequently, the tweets are transformed into master feature vectors by applying various feature extraction, feature representation, feature selection and word embedding techniques with five supervised machine learning decision models to predict mask wearing practices reinforced from Twitter tweets. Moreover, the highest macro F-measure and macro precision are found with feature extraction as hybrid-grams, feature representation as TF-IDF, feature selection as Chi-Squared Test, and highest macro recall with feature extraction as BOW, feature representation as TF-IDF, feature selection as ANOVA F-value. Hence, this study concludes that the Naive Bayes (NB) algorithm outperforms other decision models with master feature vectors applied. In addition, it also outperforms word embedding techniques.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper aims at an accurate and efficient computation of effective quantities, e.g. the homogenized coefficients for approximating the solutions to partial differential equations with oscillatory coefficients. Typical multiscale methods are based on a micro–macro-coupling, where the macromodel describes the coarse scale behavior, and the micromodel is solved only locally to upscale the effective quantities, which are missing in the macromodel. The fact that the microproblems are solved over small domains within the entire macroscopic domain, implies imposing artificial boundary conditions on the boundary of the microscopic domains. A naive treatment of these artificial boundary conditions leads to a first-order error in [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] represents the characteristic length of the small scale oscillations and [Formula: see text] is the size of microdomain. This error dominates all other errors originating from the discretization of the macro and the microproblems, and its reduction is a main issue in today’s engineering multiscale computations. The objective of this work is to analyze a parabolic approach, first announced in A. Abdulle, D. Arjmand, E. Paganoni, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser. I, 2019, for computing the homogenized coefficients with arbitrarily high convergence rates in [Formula: see text]. The analysis covers the setting of periodic microstructure, and numerical simulations are provided to verify the theoretical findings for more general settings, e.g. non-periodic microstructures.
