Based on the results of the work of agricultural enterprises of the Russian Federation for 2017 (data from annual reports), an analysis of the state of the fleet of machines was carried out. The age composition of the available equipment is revealed. The analysis of material and technical equipment of repair shops of farms, expenses of financial resources for repair and maintenance of equipment is made. The share of agricultural machinery repairs carried out in specialized repair enterprises is determined. A draft of standards for planning the repair of agricultural machinery has been developed.

Abstract (sommario):
Work job orders for 196 seed drills collected by HADCO (Hail Agricultural Development Company), Saudi Arabia, were used in this study. The work job orders were classified in terms of the parts used and the cost of each item. Distribution of repair and maintenance as listed in the work-job orders was classified as repairs by 55% while 45% was found to be maintenance. Moreover, Classification of repair and maintenance for parts of seed drills was 66% for rapair jobs and 34% for manitinance jobs. Cost ratio term was developed, by dividing the repair or maintenance cost by the seed drill purchase price. The results indicate that the average cost ratio was affected by annual working area. Also repair and maintenance cost decreased as increasing the number of seed drills every year, and due to the increasing number of working area, the costs increased after about 430 ha/year.

Annotation Purpose. Improving the efficiency of the use mobile agricultural machinery by substantiating the rational terms of its maintenance and repair, taking into account changes in its technical condition from seasonal loading, natural-production and agrometeorological conditions of use. Methods. System analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, system-factor and system-event approaches, graphic, statistical. Results. The conceptual provisions of strategy adaptive maintenance and repair mobile agricultural machinery are revealed, as well as its advantages over the known approaches to the organization of repair and maintenance works are marked. The regularities of seasonal loading of mobile agricultural machinery in farms of different natural-production zones of Ukraine analyzed. A generalized algorithm of the strategy of adaptive maintenance and repair of mobile agricultural machinery has been developed. Conclusions 1. It’s established that the main factors that determine the need for maintenance and repair of equipment are its residual life and operating time, and the factors that determine the possible periods of maintenance and repair of equipment – natural-production and agrometeorological characteristics of the agricultural producer. Predicting the impact of these factors on the processes of using mobile agricultural machinery is the basis for justifying the rational timing of its maintenance and repair. 2. The formation of strategy adaptive maintenance and repair of mobile agricultural machinery based on statistical simulation of the processes of seasonal use of machinery by agricultural producers. Such a model should take into account the natural-production characteristics of the agricultural producer, the characteristics of its technical support, agrometeorological conditions and generate technical and economic indicators of many possible options for adaptive plans for seasonal maintenance and repair of each unit. 3. It’s established that the criterion for substantiation of a rational seasonal adaptive plan for maintenance and repair of mobile agricultural machinery is the minimum total cost of implementing the relevant strategy. The total cost of funds should take into account the cost of maintenance and repair of machinery, the cost of potential crop losses caused by late performance of mechanized agricultural work machinery due to its incapacity, and cost due to underutilization of technical resources. Modern machines are subject to progressive wear that occurs at different rates, which leads to unpredictable failures that reduce the reliability and durability of machines. The strategy of maintenance and repair is aimed at eliminating these problems. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in analyzing the basic principles of the strategy of maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery in order to ensure control of the technical condition of machine parts. (Materials and methods) When resource diagnostics is used, , the allowable value of the parameter is set in advance for a part . This value is the tolerance that corresponds to a certain wear rate of the part. The tolerance is set based on the condition that if the current value of the controlled resource parameter during the next diagnosis is less than the set value, then such a part at the current value of the wear rate can be finalized until the next inter-control check. Taking into account the wear rate of the same type of parts from the group when determining the allowable wear during their resource diagnostics becomes an urgent task. (Results and discussions) As a result of research, the article presents "Methodology for determining the main indicators of reliability of parts of agricultural machines with different wear rates" and "Methodology for determining the tolerance system of parts of agricultural machines with different wear rates". (Conclusions) The article presents the tolerance system that reduces the probability of failure of machine parts in operation. During resource diagnostics, those parts whose resource parameters exceed the tolerance are rejected.

The initial data for calculating the basic salary are: the labour intensity of carrying out maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in animal husbandry, as well as hourly tariff rates for workers in workshops and areas for the repair of agricultural machinery and tools, which are accepted directly in farms and repair and maintenance organizations independently, but not lower than the tariff rate has been established for budget organizations. The purpose of the work was to calculate the basic salary of personnel according to the tariff categories used in the Republic of Belarus, and to consider the key provisions of the methodology for determining the total costs of technical service of machinery and equipment in animal husbandry. The most important provisions of the methodology for calculating the basic salary of personnel of repair and maintenance departments and organizations operating in the livestock subcomplex of the Agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Belarus have been presented. The main points of the methodology for calculating the total costs of maintenance and repair for machines and equipment of livestock farms and complexes have been given in relation to the conditions and their own features of accounting and planning of repair and maintenance work in domestic animal husbandry. An example of practical calculation of costs for carrying out various types of maintenance and repair of a widely used domestic milking machine has been considered.

The article considers the current state of the system of maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery, shows the analysis of the existing system and its impact on the economic efficiency of production in the agro-industrial complex. The current state of instrumentation, electronics and computer technology can significantly increase and expand the possibilities of both diagnosing and forecasting based on it. The combination of these capabilities with the progress of agricultural machinery ensures its reliable, highly productive and economical operation. It is established that of great importance in the production of crop and livestock products is the qualified use of agricultural machinery, including its diagnosis, maintenance and technological maintenance and repair. The quantity and quality of the received production, its competitiveness, labor costs, fuel consumption and degree of influence on environment depend on quality and timeliness of carrying out service – diagnostics at technical and technological service. Improving the use of agricultural machinery and reducing the cost of its operation provides the use of technical diagnostics of machines as an information basis for the management of maintenance and repair processes. The practice of using diagnostic tools indicates the possibility of reducing operating costs. This is achieved by increasing the actual resource used, reducing the number of repairs and saving spare parts. To effectively apply existing diagnostics and development of new, engineering and technical workers of agricultural enterprises must have knowledge that reveals the fundamental side of the diagnosis. Measures of preventive influences which provide maintenance of necessary indicators of reliability and working capacity of cars during time of use are executed on a scientific basis, practical use and research of processes of wear and other deviations of details are developed.

Abstract This work substantiates the rational structure of the repair and maintenance base of agricultural machinery, methods for determining the needs for material and technical means, taking into account the appropriate proportions between the links of the repair network. The maintenance and restoration of the operability of tractors and other agricultural machines in sufficient limits is ensured, as is known, with the help of a system of maintenance and repair, which provides for the implementation of preventive maintenance operations and the conduct of routine and major repairs of machines in a planned manner. The established system of maintenance and repair, the creation of a material and technical basis for its implementation, as well as a continuous process of improving the qualifications of machine operators and repair personnel, contribute to the effective use of equipment in agriculture. At the same time, there are significant disadvantages in the use of tractors and agricultural machines. The analysis of the results of numerous studies of VIMa, ChIMESXa and other organizations made it possible to identify and systematize the loss of time due to machine downtime. In particular, machine downtime for regulated maintenance is 10-15% of the shift time, for technical malfunctions - from 5-8% for plowing, up to 30% for harvesting crops. The volume of work on the repair of cars in the country as a whole is more than 2 times higher than the standard. The efficiency of maintenance and repair of machines largely depends on the level of the material and technical base of these works - the availability of modern equipment and tooling, industrial buildings, warehouses, and other structures, inventories, means of transport and communications.

Timely conducting of all types of maintenance and routine repairs is possible only in the conditions of an innovative service center, equipped with the necessary equipment and having a complex of facilities to ensure favorable conditions for technical service. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in identifying opportunities for updating the technical service system in the agro-industrial complex by creating innovative service centers to ensure highly efficient operation of agricultural machinery and equipment. (Materials and methods) The system of maintenance in agriculture is characterized by a significant decrease in efficiency due to physical and moral wear of equipment of repair and technical enterprises, low level and insufficient qualification of personnel and managers of enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. The availability of existing enterprises of the agro-industrial complex with production areas is no more than 50 percent, technological equipment is no more than 47 percent, and technological equipment and equipment for jobs are 15 and 40 percent. (Results and discussion) The modernization of the infrastructure of technical service of agricultural machinery is aimed at updating the technological base of machine repair. Repair and technical enterprises do not have the necessary equipment to perform a number of maintenance and routine repairs. The process of developing technical service infrastructure is significantly behind the level of structural and technological complexity of agricultural machinery. Due to technological requirements, complex components and assemblies, such as engines, hydraulic equipment, fuel pumps of domestic and imported agricultural machinery should not be repaired in the conditions of farms. (Conclusions) The high technological level of innovative technical service centers serves as a condition for efficient operation of production, ensuring its stability and reliability of operation, flexibility and adaptability, high intensity and waste-free operation.

Abstract (sommario):
Increasing the performance of machines within their useful life necessitates modernizing maintenance and repair strategies. To develop a method for organizing maintenance and repair of machine parts aimed at improving the reliability of agricultural machinery, the authors carried out an analysis of the U-shaped form of the failure rate curve. Two types of post-warranty service were considered. The study showed that the failures of machine parts observed while operating are of two types: failures of the manufacturer (determined by the quality of design, manufacture and installation, and characterized by the failure rate) and operational failures (determined by the service quality of machine parts and characterized by the distribution law of failures described by the Weibull distribution, the standard normal Gaussian distribution law or other distribution laws of random variables). The research yielded the characteristics of the life periods of the control objects. The authors determined and justified the law of resource distribution and the active area of control, and presented methods for their analysis and use in the maintenance and repair of machine parts. The proposed method of maintenance and repair, based on preventing the failures of machine parts through the use of post-warranty service, will improve the reliability of diagnosed machines.

Modern trends in agriculture involve the use of the latest reliable equipment. The specified requirements are met by samples of equipment manufactured by well-known global and domestic machine-building plants. A part of the agricultural machinery market of Ukraine is occupied by means for preparing and distributing fodder. The effectiveness of the use of agricultural machinery depends on the existing regulatory and technical documentation for its operation and measures to ensure reliability. The purpose of the research is to increase the efficiency of the operation of agricultural machinery due to the formation and implementation of the Program for ensuring its reliability. The stages of the Program for ensuring the reliability of means for preparing and distributing fodder at the stage of operation and maintenance are presented. The main components of the implementation stages of the Reliability Assurance Program have been established. The need to study the operational reliability of machines as complex technical systems using quantitative calculation methods is confirmed. Recommendations for increasing the reliability of means for preparing and distributing fodder are defined: training of personnel engaged in their installation and operation, maintenance and repair; organization of the reliability information collection system; maintenance and repair system provision; research into the causes of failures of repaired objects; functioning of the automated control of the facility's technical condition.

Maintenance and repair of livestock machinery and equipment is carried out as a rule by specialized repair and service enterprises on the basis of service contracts in accordance with the procedure established by law. However, with the renewal of the park’s farms with machines and equipment with automated and computerized process control, as well as the reconstruction of dairy farms and complexes, it became necessary to have a production base and highly qualified specialists for the maintenance of equipment. The most important and key provisions of the improved methodology of planning and accounting of work in the technical service of animal husbandry with the use of a number of standards are given, some features of accounting and planning of these types of work have been noted. The concepts of “repair unit” and “category of complexity of technical service” have been defined. The general provisions of the methodology for calculating costs and determining the cost of carrying out maintenance and repair of livestock equipment have been considered. On the base of calculations, the average total cost standards for carrying out maintenance and repair of livestock equipment have been established. These standards greatly simplify the planning of costs during the operation of equipment, and also allow us to determine the cost of maintenance and repair at different stages of the creation of new machines.

The expansion of services and technological equipment applied to the agribusiness sector grows year after year, e.g., tractors and agricultural machinery, which use systems shipped with sophisticated software that collaborate to aid, and optimize activities in the field. Maintenance of agricultural machinery, including tractors, is routine in the life of any farmer, especially the preventive and corrective maintenance. In this paper, the objective was to evaluate an alternative for the use of diagnostic software in the prediction of failures that may occur in the tractor clutch system. In this study, the PicoScope6 software was used to identify the failures in this system, and then, using the predictive maintenance phase, was compared with classic maintenance methods, allowed for estimating the necessary repair time. Results showed that software identified more precisely the mechanical components that presented failures. From the identification of failure components, a list of repairs and exchanges was estimated, and, when compared to the list of components generated by inspection without diagnostic software, the repair time was reduced by 88%, and the cost of repair in up to 93%. The availability of the equipment also increased as a result of the shorter repair time, thus maximizing the machine time in the field.

The article presents the prospects of digitalization and use of artificial intelligence technologies in the technical modernization of the agro-industrial complex (AIC). In order to improve the efficiency of agricultural industry, including the productivity and quality of products in such sectors as crop production, livestock, processing of agricultural products, a transition to innovative technologies is required. Their use in agricultural production makes it possible to significantly competitiveness of the agricultural sector of the economy of the Russian Federation. To do this, the technical modernization of the agro-industrial complex, which provides for the renewal of its base with domestic agricultural machinery is required. In modern machines, a large number of electronic systems with various sensors are involved. They allow to control the operation of various units, including the internal combustion engine, transmission, work tools and other mechanisms. The use of such systems makes it possible to reduce the cost of maintenance and use of equipment, to monitor the modes of operation and technical condition of equipment around the clock, to conduct repair and maintenance activities as required. The current global trend is the use of remote machine diagnostics systems. They allow service centers and emergency support to diagnose a vehicle at a distance, reducing downtime. In recent years, there has been a trend towards digital solutions in machine maintenance. 3D technologies are promising for repair of agricultural machinery, including restoration and hardening of parts. They can be used to measure the geometric dimensions and determine the physical and mechanical properties of part faces of agricultural machines during the incoming inspection of spare parts and fault detection of parts, by scanning them. The introduction of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the repair practice will reduce the duration of repair and maintenance actions during the technical service of agricultural machinery and significantly reduce the cost of their implementation.

Harmonization of standards for modern methods of organization of maintenance and repair, advanced methods of service of agricultural machines (tractors, diesels, combines and others) updates the list of regulatory documents required for the certification of agricultural machinery. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in increasing the quality of repair, maintenance and work in the certification of tractors and agricultural machinery, taking into account new trends by clarifying the list of controlled indicators of technical and information compatibility in accordance with the priority areas of standardization, establishing a list of mandatory routine maintenance work in the certification of repair quality aimed at technical and environmental safety, as well as increasing the competitiveness of Russian goods in the domestic and regional markets. (Materials and methods) The specifics of the work consists in public discussion of draft standards and expertise by specialists of the engineering service and agricultural machinery, interested organizations and enterprises of the Russian Federation and organizations in the member states of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of the Commonwealth of Independent States and a detailed analysis of the proposals received. (Results and discussion) The article presents the final versions of the draft standards that meet the conditions of the current state of the machine-technical park and the engineering service of the agro-industrial complex. It summaries of reviews from organizations in Russia and the CIS countries; the draft final version of the standards will be sent for editing and approval to Rosstandart. (Conclusions) For the first time, the types, basic rules and technical requirements for carrying out the procedure for putting into repair and releasing from repair tractors, diesel engines, combines and other machines intended for field work were unified. The implementation of these requirements will improve the quality of repair, reliability and the inter-repair resource of the machine and tractor fleet of the agro-industrial complex.

In the course of operation of transport and technological machines (tractors, cars, grain and forage harvesters and other complex agricultural machinery), the joints in the nodes, aggregates, and mechanisms are worn out. The amount of wear depends on the service life and operating conditions. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in searching for the most acceptable method for practical application of determining the optimal frequency of technical service to ensure high reliability and efficiency through reducing the intensity of wear of the interfaces of components, aggregates, mechanisms of the transport and technological machine; proposing coefficients for adjusting the frequency standards when planning and organizing maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery. (Materials and methods) The condition of the crankshafts of internal combustion engines at the operating time close to carrying out major repairs, 5000 hours (maintenance - 3) for tractors, 192,000 km and 150,000 km (routine repairs) for vehicles like KAMAZ and GAZ-3309. Authors applied the methods used to determine the optimal frequency of maintenance and repair, which characterize the quality of technical impacts. (Results and discussion) The article presents calculations performed to determine the maximum performance of the unit as part of a tractor with different maintenance intervals and an agricultural machine based on the use of a statistical method (according to the probability of failure). Authors found that the most acceptable method for determining the optimal frequency of technical impacts is the "unit cost" method. The article proposes coefficients for adjusting the frequency of technical impacts. (Conclusions) Determining the optimal frequency of technical impacts will minimize operating costs and prevent possible failures. To do this, it is necessary to choose an acceptable method that determines the optimal frequency and ensures minimal wear of the interfaces in the nodes, aggregates, mechanisms of transport and technological machines.

The paper presents performance analysis of a rod breakdown system consisting of two machines operating in parallel. Ten years maintenance data of the system depicts three maintenance practices: repair, major preventive maintenance and minor preventive maintenance. Machines are repaired on normal failures, whereas major/minor preventive maintenance is carried out at scheduled basis. The machines are queued for major preventive maintenance. An operative machine requires a cooling period of half hour before undergoing major preventive maintenance. Repair is prioritized over major preventive maintenance. The system is analysed using semi-Markov processes and regenerative point techniques. Performance indices namely mean time to system failure, system availability, no. of system repairs and busy period of the repairman are obtained. Simulated results are presented to demonstrate the effect of varying failure/repair rates on the system performance.

This is one of the most important objectives of proactive maintenance; maintenance engineer must follow and monitor the wear of equipment with moving parts to prevent damage and removing them permanently from service, ensuring repair costs as low as possible. The aim of this paper is to present a particular case study on vibro- acoustic diagnosis of equipment and components subject to wear during operation to prevent catastrophic damage, as well as human and material losses.

Annotation Purpose. Optimization terms of repair and maintenance works due to monitoring of the technical condition in mobile agricultural machinery on the basis statistical simulation using of its technical resource. Methods. System analysis and methods for statistical processing results of operational reliability tractors in experimental farms on NAAS. For the development statistical simulation models, discrete-event simulation, “Any Logic” simulation environment is provided. Results. The intensity using of mobile agricultural machinery during the year by the amount of fuel consumption is established, which makes it possible to plan the terms and scope of repair and maintenance works during the period of minimum load of equipment. The advantages strategy of adaptive maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery in comparison with the planning and warning system, which consist in determining the periods of repair and maintenance work, taking into account the intensity using mobile equipment and residual resource, which is basis for the development and implementation of operational management plans for its technical. Prerequisites for statistical simulation of the process of using the technical resource of mobile equipment are highlighted; the stages of establishment of its residual resource and appointment of terms of repair and maintenance works are defined. Conclusions. The economic effect on the results of research will be to monitor the technical state of mobile equipment, minimization of downtime for technical reasons during intense field work and effective use of technical resources maintaining a crop of potential losses by 8–10% due to the timely implementation processes. The article considers the factors influencing on the quality of manufacture and repair of agricultural machinery from the perspective of application of one of the newest methods of the quality analysis known as Principle of 5 M - men, methods, materials, machines, measures. It is defined that in all five indices the domestic agricultural machinery considerably lags behind the foreign one. The main reasons are the use of cheap raw materials, the lack of modern processing equipment with high precision, the lack of highly skilled and highly paid workers, the designing of machines by means of archaic methods, the small degree of information support on modern technologies and specifics of branch machinery, especially internationally. The role of control in formation of quality of manufacture and repair of agricultural machinery is highlighted. The purchasing manager of a large repair enterprise has to provide in the contract for delivery of incoming production the conditions on the presence of a defined limit of defects with selective check of incoming consignment. For a small enterprise, there is the simple recommendation to take a technical documentation and instruments of control along when going on a warehouse for spares, and to buy only good products of manufacturer or well-established similar products. The main objectives of metrological service in repair enterprises are defined. Modern metrological provision during machine repair is the system ensuring the quality of control that includes: the strict ensuring unity of measurements; the choice of critical control points, which are subject to rigid control; the feasibility study of choice of measuring instruments by criteria of minimization of costs and losses for controlled products; the regular actions on adjustment of measuring instruments, the tests and control during maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery.

Introduction. The aim of the study is to develop the basic principles for digitalization of the processes of providing the diagnostics and repair of agricultural machinery. Materials and Methods. The specifics of agricultural machinery functioning are work in worst-on-worst operating conditions, such as significant abrasive contamination (soil particles, dust and other substances), operation in the conditions of exposure to natural climatic conditions, intensive use during the work shift and other factors that result in a regular need for testing and repairing. These factors significantly extend the time of maintenance and repair works. The study of the information environment for planning the distribution of agricultural machinery by repair enterprises has showed that the methods of this activity are not sufficiently developed. The authors propose a solution to the problem of rational distribution of agricultural machinery for repair and rehabilitation. Results. This article describes the main principles for developing structural relationships of databases used to find rational solutions for organizing repair and rehabilitation of agricultural machinery. Due to the fact that the solution of such a problem is time-consuming and is carried out under conditions that dynamically change over time, a mathematical model for the production environment of repair organizations is proposed, which is implemented by means of computer technology. The requirements for models describing the state of the production system of repair organizations are defined. A model of a generalized production system is proposed. Discussion and Conclusion. The model developed by the authors allows increasing the automation level of processes of distributing agricultural machinery by repair enterprises. The implementation of a new approach to planning repair works and distributing repairable agricultural machinery by repair enterprises will increase the efficiency of repair works, improve their quality parameters, reduce time, and optimize the structure of technological equipment of repair enterprises.

Ships have a wide variety of machinery available onboard that is crucial for her sustenance at sea for prolonged durations. The machinery can be grouped into various plants, such as propulsion plant, air conditioning plants, power generation plants, etc., each having its own specific function. The plants in turn are composed of various systems which further comprise various types of machinery. There are redundancies built in at the plant level, as well as at the system and at machinery level, so as to improve the reliability of the ship as a whole. Planning of maintenance schedule, specifically for tasks which can only be undertaken in an ashore repair yard is a daunting task for the maintenance managers. The paper presents a NSGA-II (nondominated sorting genetic algorithm) based multi-objective optimization approach to arrive at an optimum maintenance plan for the vast variety of machinery in order to improve the average reliability of ship's operations at sea at minimum cost. The paper presents the advantages that can accrue from introducing short maintenance periods for a select group of machinery, within the constraints of mandatory operational time, over the method of following a common maintenance interval for all the machinery. The problem function in hand is nonlinear, multi-modal and multi-objective in nature. The search spaces for the problem is noncontinuous and the (multiple) variables, such as time interval for maintenance, serial number of equipment, number of minor maintenance actions, etc., are uncoded real parameters.

To substantiate the organizational and technological models for maintaining the performance of agricultural machinery, primarily energy-rich, in modern operating conditions using new technologies. The analysis of publications of domestic and foreign authors, refl ecting the state of the engineering service of the agroindustrial complex. The factors that determine the choice of an organizational and technological model for maintaining the operability of equipment in relation to the conditions of the agro-industrial complex of Russia are investigated. Received and processed statistical information on the current state of the equipment park and enterprises of the repair and service base of the agro-industrial complex. Based on the results of the study, the state of the fl eet of agricultural machinery used was determined, as well as the ability of the repair and maintenance base of the agro-industrial complex to ensure its performance. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the positive capabilities of various life support systems of equipment and systems for maintenance and repair is hampered by the unstable position of participants in the processes of production, use and renovation of equipment. It was also revealed that the fl eet of equipment is outdated, requires large volumes of maintenance and repair, and the repair and maintenance base of the agro-industrial complex in Russia as a whole is not able to fulfi ll the tasks of providing the necessary level of technical assistance when using agricultural machinery

The share of the main types of agricultural machinery with a service life of more than 10 years in the total volume of equipment remains high. The maintenance the performance of machinery and equipment are performed mainly by repair and restoration processes. In recent years, there used a 3D-scanning technology in the repair of machines. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in searching for the possibility of using 3D-scanning technologies in the repair of equipment based on the analysis of information materials. (Materials and methods) Authors used open information sources from various scientific and educational organizations for analysis. The great attention has been paid to the analysis of 3D-scanning technologies presented at various international specialized exhibitions. It was found that various laser scanners have been developed and used for 3D-scanning, mainly for quality control of parts manufacturing. It was also found that they can be used to control the geometric, physical and mechanical parameters of agricultural machinery parts during the input control of spare parts and repair of machines. (Results and discussion) It has been found that 3D-scanning improves the accuracy and performance of measurements in comparison with contact devices. The article notes that the use of 3D-scanning in convergent modeling technologies and in additive manufacturing is becoming a modern trend in mechanical engineering. (Conclusions) A promising direction for the introduction of 3D-technologies in repair production is the integrated use of additive technologies and 3D-scanning; when parts are defective after disassembly of the repaired units, the machine uses a 3D-scanner to determine the wear, and a 3D-printer to restore the worn surface, taking into account the uneven wear. The advantages of this repair technology include increasing the accuracy of measurement, reducing the range of measurement tools used, and the ability to restore parts of complex geometric shapes. Spot application of a layer of additive material to the wear site reduces material consumption by 20-90 percent.

The article covers issues related to the selection of a management strategy for the operation of technical infrastructure. It contains the approaches, methodology and a general model of the system of operation of the Maintenance Services of the LOTOS Group production company, which is an example of a large oil concern. Nowadays, an increasing aspect is put on the efficiency of individual repair processes, as well as the operation of equipment. Doubts often arise as to which strategy is the right one and which one to choose. With numerous machines, there are problems related to work planning and optimal use of resources. In addition, there are frequently difficulties in identifying the devices that interfere with the processes. The aim of this article is to present the maintenance strategy of the LOTOS production company and to introduce a procedure that allows for the assessment of the efficiency of machinery and equipment operation. It includes a method extending the identification of “Bad Actors” used so far, based on data from the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, with a solution based on reports made after device repairs. MTBR (Mean Time Between Repair) coefficients were calculated for particular Complexes, Plants and Machines, which allowed for the identification of troublesome areas and the most difficult devices in production processes. This made it possible to select the equipment that should be repaired in the first place. After the implementation of the method and service activities, a decrease in the number of problematic machines was observed.

Supporting metal structures of large dump trucks at open cast coal mines function under exposure to alternating cyclic load. Fatigue cracks that appear there require timely maintenance welding. Organization of repair processes is multivariant; it can be performed either by the enterprise (open cast coal mine) efforts or by special repair units. An industrial experiment carried out at Permyakovskiy and Prokopyevskiy open cast coal mines in Kuzbass has shown that type of large dump trucks’ repair works organization influences significantly process efficiency. Repair welding by enterprise efforts is the most non-productive compared to other types of repair process organization. Its specific rate is 37 per cent lower than in comparison with unstructured welding and 2.2 times lower in comparison with structured metal sheet replacement and structured welding. Structuring repair processes allows to increase their efficiency by 30...40 per cent on average. Structured replacement of the spring plate is the most productive type of metal structure repair process organization. Comparison of maintenance measurement results in accordance with Unified Norms and Prices collected book with the results obtained from the industrial experiment showed that calculation methods give underestimated values of repair processes’ specific rate.

(Materials and methods) Authors used methods of generalizing data from various services of agro- industrial formations of individual regions, materials of scientific and technical literature and research developments, studied data on the practical use of modern resource-saving technologies by engineering services of the agro-industrial complex of the regions when carrying out repairs and service and technological services. (Results and discussion) The lack of information about the state of the repair and maintenance base makes it difficult to determine all the criteria associated with the transition of manufacturers to a contract of the entire life cycle. Obtaining information about the state of the repair and maintenance base of the agro-industrial complex is a very important stage that contributes to the modernization of this base and attracting not only the governments, but also agricultural machinery manufacturers to modernization. (Conclusions) The technological level of the enterprises of the repair and maintenance base of agriculture has significantly decreased in recent years, and this has affected the decline in technical readiness indicators, which confirms the need to conduct research and implement in practice the main measures related to the modernization of the specified repair and maintenance base.

In the military units of the National Guard of Ukraine, a system for repairing automotive vehicles has been introduced, which provides for current, secondary and overhaul repairs. Maintenance of machines is carried out in order to eliminate malfunctions arising from the use of machines, and allows the replacement of individual units, including the main one. The average repair consists in the replacement or overhaul of not more than half of the main units. Overhaul restores the life of the machine and should be carried out at specialized enterprises of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine or at other enterprises under contracts. Actually, in the military units of NGU, only current repairs are carried out. This is due to the high cost of overhaul and its low quality. Therefore, for the military units of the NGU, a diagnostic and recovery system for repairing automotive vehicles is proposed, including two types of repair: maintenance and restoration. The essence of maintenance repair consists in eliminating malfunctions, violations of adjustments during the operation of the machines according to the inspection, listening ? diagnostics with built-in and external diagnostic devices. Reconditioning repair consists in carrying out repair operations related to disassembling, troubleshooting, mechanical or other processing of component parts, assembling units, assemblies, testing them, and, if necessary, replacing them with new or repaired ones. Maintenance and repair repairs of automotive equipment are carried out only if there is a need for their implementation. It is proposed to establish ten parameters of the diagnostic and recovery system for the repair of automotive equipment at NGU and determine the life of the machine only before being discarding. The procedure for determining the number of machines that must be written off and get new ones to increase the non-reduced resource in each operation group is given.

To ensure highly efficient operation of agricultural machinery and equipment, it is necessary to improve the system of technical services in agriculture by creating specialized service centers. The system of maintenance in agriculture is characterized by a significant decrease in efficiency due to critical physical and moral wear of equipment of repair and technical enterprises (RTP), low level and insufficient qualification of Executive personnel and managers of enterprises of the agro-industrial complex (AIC). These changes led to the loss of the majority of RTP for agriculture and their re-equipment for non-agricultural production. According to experts, in the service sectors of agriculture, there was a loss of technological production and a significant part of applied science. This is especially worrisome due to the catastrophic aging of cars and the lack of funds to replace them. It is necessary to improve the General condition of the equipment of repair shops, the availability of existing agricultural enterprises with production areas is no more than 50%, technological equipment — no more than 47%, and technological equipment and equipment of workplaces — 15% — 40%, respectively. The priority areas of modernization of the infrastructure of technical service of agricultural machinery are related to updating the technological base of machine repair. Based on a reliable assessment and analysis of the technological level of RTP, which takes into account a number of technological, technical, organizational and environmental factors of production. RTP does not have the necessary equipment and devices to perform a number of maintenance and maintenance operations. The process of developing the technical service infrastructure lags far behind the level of structural and technological complexity of agricultural machinery. Due to technological requirements, such complex components and assemblies as engines, hydraulic equipment, fuel pumps of domestic and imported agricultural machinery should not be repaired in the conditions of farms. In a number of works proved the following provision: evaluation of the technological level repair enterprises shall be based on the application of such methods and means of technological preparation of production, which correspond to the advanced achievements of science and technology, and provide high-capacity system maintenance to continuous improvement. A high technological level of technical service enterprises is a condition for efficient operation of any type of production, ensuring its stability and reliability of operation, flexibility and adaptability, high intensity and waste-free operation.

The authors' company is a medium-sized engineering company specializing in naval ship repair. The bulk of corporate work centers on the Phased Maintenance (PM) of three classes of ships. Typically, each PM contract covers three to five different ships per class scheduled for 90-day Availabilities at approximately one-year intervals over a period of five years. The type of work to be performed during each Phased Maintenance Availability (PMA) falls into one of two categories: ship alterations or ship repairs. The first group, ship alterations, is characterized by detailed, long-lead engineering and planning efforts, typically beginning 540 days prior to the vessels's arrival. The second group, ship repairs, makes up the other end of the spectrum with short lead times and compressed service details. The majority of repair items are identified 60 days prior to an Availability, while some are not determined until after the vessel has arrived in the shipyard. The engineering department that services PMA work is composed of three disciplines: structural, mechanical and electrical. The mechanical discipline is further subdivided into the areas of machinery and piping/HVAC. While the nature of PMA work within each discipline is peculiar to the application, the process is similar in each. Reference information is gathered and verified, technical analysis is provided where necessary, and detailed drawings are prepared and submitted for Navy approval prior to shipyard production. All drawings are developed using two-dimensional drafting techniques at various sites by teams of computer-aided design (CAD) input operators utilizing color graphic workstations on a multi-shift basis as required by the workload. Completed drawings are transferred to the engineering site over a network link, where additional workstations are available for engineers to check and correct them as necessary

The article deals with corrosion as one of the most dangerous types of the destruction of forest machinery parts. The exploitation of forest machines occurs under conditions of high hu-midity, dust, temperature changes of the surrounding air. Because of influence of various climat-ic and other factors, the processes of weakening and destruction of the parts take place, and something goes wrong, sometimes it is impossible to detect the problem during maintenance and repair. Based on the analysis of the working conditions of forestry machines, details and their groups have been identified and which are greatly subjected to corrosion and aggressive envi-ronment.

The equipment of agricultural machinery has its own special features due to the following reasons: high requirements for wear resistance and fatigue strength of the working surfaces of parts that experience heavy loads; relatively large dimensions and weight of manufactured machines; mainly small-scale and serial production, etc. In the conditions of aging and wear of the machine and tractor fleet, multiple increases in the cost of machines and spare parts, and the lack of financial resources, the issue of technical equipment of agricultural production should be solved by developing new and improving the existing technological processes of production and repair. In the production of agricultural machinery and mechanisms, it is necessary to use modern technologies, equipment, and materials. An urgent task is the development and application of hybrid technologies and hybrid equipment for the production of machines and mechanisms, as well as spare parts for the machine and tractor fleet. The paper presents the options for applying the principle of combination. This will allow creating machine tool systems where different types of processing can be combined on a single platform, which reduces the time for intermediate and auxiliary operations, the range of available equipment, maintenance and repair costs, etc., which is especially important for small enterprises, repair shops, and small businesses that produce machines and mechanisms for agricultural purposes. The classification of failures and damages of the linear part and its separate elements is carried out, variants of technology of carrying out of preventive and repair-restoration works and modular-technological structure of repair and maintenance units are formulated. Particular attention is paid to improving the efficiency of the operation of a separate repair and maintenance unit during maintenance and repair with a known layout scheme and a certain mode of control and restoration works by choosing the optimal technology of work and rational equipment of units and crews leaving for the route. On the basis of the analysis of the technology of work execution it is shown that only a small part of the repair and maintenance measures requires the use of powerful machinery and equipment, which include the first level of priority work on the replacement of gas pipeline sections, work, damage elimination, work on elimination of significant pipeline displacements, work for restoration of soil collapse of the main gas pipeline. In addition, each type of work on the objects of the linear part requires the use of the same vehicles. The type and number of vehicles depend on the particular operating conditions, as well as on the possibility and feasibility of purchasing and operating a particular type of equipment. The method of estimation of indexes of maintenance of linear part of main gas pipelines and efficiency of functioning of repair and maintenance units during maintenance and repair is developed.

In this study, we integrate deteriorate jobs with repair&maintenance activity on a single machine scheduling subject to total completion time. This work has more than one motivation. First, jobs are assigned to machines in an automated production line. Later, to schedule the maintenance activities, if needed, to prevent machinery from breaking down later. There are some important mathematical models to solve this combination. However, due to the complexity of the problem which is Np-hard, a polynomial algorithm should be needed for solving large problems. Therefore, this article introduces several polnomial algorithms to determine the order of things best. With using these algorithms, it will be possible to determine where to assign to the schedule, taking into account the number of maintenance activities required and their optimum total completion time.

The efficiency of use and increase the reliability of agricultural machinery depends on the regulatory and technical documentation governing the requirements for its technical condition and operation. The analysis of the existing normative-technical and guiding documents on ensuring the reliability of means for preparation and distribution of fodder is given. To effectively carry out maintenance and repair of means for the preparation and distribution of feed should know: the criteria for disability; maximum and permissible parameters of technical condition; indicators of the transition of equipment from working to inoperable condition. The article presents the monitoring of instructions for maintenance and operation of machines, guide materials for use from the standpoint of their informativeness on the implementation of reliability requirements. Monitoring of technical condition was carried out for foreign samples of means for preparation and distribution of feed with horizontal mixing and grinding mechanisms. The mechanisms are analyzed from the standpoint of the availability of information about the features of the structure, the characteristic faults and failures, the main ways to restore efficiency. Ensuring reliability includes several activities throughout the life cycle. The main provisions for assessing the technical condition and improving the reliability of machines when using guide materials. The provisions include: information on the reliability of machines, mechanisms, working bodies; periodicity of maintenance and repair of machines, restoration of working bodies; information on the complexity of maintenance and repair of machines, restoration of working bodies; schemes of assembly and disassembly of mechanisms; information on typical failures and the sequence of their elimination; information on the limit state criteria; technologies for the restoration of working bodies; information on installation requirements. The current normative documents of the system of general technical requirements for the means for the preparation and distribution of feed do not fully meet the organizational and methodological aspects of ensuring their reliability.

Keeping the equipment and machinery in working order is a very important activity in the field of industrial production, being specific to the maintenance department within an enterprise. Ensuring an optimal in operation of the manufacturing systems is closely related to the prevention of defects, an action that must be found in a planning and scheduling of preventive-planned maintenance works. In the paper, in addition to the introductory part on the main objectives and implementation of the maintenance system and maintenance-specific operations, a case study is conducted for the planning and organization of maintenance in a company equipped with plastic injection machines. The main stages developed consisted in elaborating the maintenance plan, establishing the optimal moment for replacing the machine tools, choosing the optimal type of machine tool and establishing the elements of random wear of the machine tools. It is concluded that the optimal type of injection molding machine that will be chosen to replace the T10 injection molding machine is T14, because it has a minimum average cost of acquisition, maintenance and repair, respectively 42.286 UV.
