Abstract (sommario):
The cemetery of the Pechenga monastery "near the Sretensky Church" (of the neighborhood of Luostari) had a special sacred status. Its origin was closely connected with the legend that the relics of St. Tryphon of Pechenga and his disciples Jonah and Herman rested at the right here. The desire to bury the dead as close as possible to the saints was a consequence of the centuries-old tradition of their veneration. Since the cemetery is now lost, the article is devoted to the re-construction of the list of those buried on the basis of the parish registers that were kept in the Pechenga parish in 1855–1920 and monastery in 1891–1916. Information is revealed about 55 persons, including monks, novices and guests of the monastery, pilgrims among the colonists, Sami, peasants of different provinces, buried "next to the Tryphon", about Sretensky Church. The problem of interpreting the information of parish registers to clarify the localization of burials is considered.
