Abstract (sommario):

The theme of literacy is marked by worldview disputes. In this sense, this research aims to discuss the importance of literary reading in the literacy process, based on the assumptions of the historical-cultural theory. Thus, the following question arises: what are the main implications of literary reading for the literacy process, based on the assumptions of the cultural-historical theory? This is bibliographical research, with qualitative data treatment and a critical-dialectical approach, using the Marxist categories 'content' and 'form'. Although incipient, the results point to the possibility of re-dimensioning the literacy process based on literary reading, from the perspective of historical-cultural theory. An approach that goes beyond the didactic-instrumental perspective, a process focused on the formation of the reader subject.

In Shalakya tantra, among the five sense organs, Siro (head) and Netra (eyes) are the most important. This sense organ acquires utmost importance as this is one of the vital sense perceptions for human beings. While treating Netra Roga (ocular disorders), it is necessary to eliminate all four vitiated doshas for total vyadhi shaman (disease cure). Raktamokshan (blood-letting) is considered one of the essential treatments for vyadhi shaman. In Shalya – Shalakya tantra it is considered as ‘Ardha chikitsa’ (half treatment). Siravyadha Karma (type of blood-letting) is an ideal Chikitsa (treatment) for pain as well as disease management. Acharya Sushruta has also described Viddha karma (bloodletting) as a treatment modality in Netra Roga (eye disorders). An attempt is made here to emphasize Viddha karma as an essential treatment in various Netra roga.

Abstract (sommario):

Pneumoparotid is a rare condition of parotid swelling. The presence of the air in gland parenchyma is caused by an incompetent Stensen’s duct with high pressure may cause the acini’s rupture. We reviewed 49 manuscripts, from 1987 to today, that enrolled a total of 54 patients with pneumoparotid. Our review evaluated the following evaluation parameters: gender, age, etiology, clinical presentation, treatment, days of resolution after diagnosis, relapse and complications. The most frequent etiology is self-induction by swelling the cheeks (53.7%). This cause mainly involves children (74%), for conflicts with parents, excuses for not going to school, nervous tics or adults (16%) with psychiatric disorders. Iatrogenic causes are also frequent (16.6%), for dental treatments (55.5%) or use of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) (33.4%). Medical therapy is the most practiced (53.7%), in most cases it is combined with behavioral therapy (25.9%) or psychotherapy (25.9%). Surgery is rarely used (9.2%) as a definitive solution through parotidectomy (50%) or ligation of the duct (50%). The most common complication is subcutaneous emphysema (24.1%), sometimes associated with pneumomediastinum (5.5%). Careful treatment and management are necessary to ensure the resolution of the pathology and counteract the onset of complications.

Abstract (sommario):

The introduction to the archival collection “To Revive the Past Through Pedagogy: On History and Historicism in Children’s Literature” starts with a close reading of Yesterday and Today, a picture book for children, which the poet Samuil Marshak and the artist Vladimir Lebedev published in 1925 with the private press Raduga in Leningrad. Relying on clear binary schemes, the book presented temporal distinctions (yesterday/today) as a combination of differential features. Belonging to different time frames was presented not simply as a matter of chronology; also, it was read as a manifestation of cultural differences (old/new), that is, as differences constructed and appropriated through time, and, simultaneously, as a clear expression of historical differences (outdated/progressive), i.e., as differences that were rooted in a specific and therefore irreproducible context. The historical juxtaposition of the world of yesterday and the world of today was conceptualized in Yesterday and Today as a juxtaposition of two different orders of things — the things of the past vs. the things of the present. However, in the finale of the book this early Soviet version of the object-oriented ontology was transformed into something else: everyday objects reemerged as social symptoms. The order of things was re-coded as a metonym of a social order: behind everyday objects of the past and the present, there were “for- mer” and “new” people, lurking. This contrastive multilevel juxtaposition of yesterday and today diffused the linearity of history; the continuity of the material, intellectual, and social progression was subjected to purposeful fragmentation and polarization. And the habitual obviousness of the gap between “yesterday” and “today” was called upon to justify the organic — and therefore natural — essence of such fragmentations and breaks. Yesterday and Today was among the first Soviet books for children to articulate the contrastive method of the early Soviet historicism in a graphic and accessible way. The book’s poetics of historical discontinuities, gaps, and shifts provided an important foundation for the literary treatment of history in the early Soviet period. Moreover, the method of contrastive juxtaposition of the past and the present, of the good and the bad, of the heroic and the cowardly would be quickly turned into a popular narrative formula of Soviet literature for children. By grounding things and people in distinctive temporal settings, this early Soviet version of historicism could successfully organize the multidimensional and heterogenous coexistence of distinctive practices, mentalities, and symbolic frameworks. Incompatible things, styles, and ways of life were placed in their book on their own — separate — pages, as if to emphasize their historically discordant relations. The poetics of historical discontinuities evolved into a politics of historical incompatibility of heterogenous things, styles, and ways of life. By the middle of the 1930s, the poetics of historical discontinuities would be revised and reframed. A desire to juxtapose the past and the present would be replaced by the desire to demonstrate historical continuity. As an organizing model, “yesterday and today” would still be in use but its meaning would dramatically change: “today” would be perceived as a natural continuation of the revolutionary “yesterday.” “Gaps,” “breaks” and “shifts” would be pushed out by “stages” and “steps.” Historical allegories would make historicism ideologically useless and aesthetically irrelevant.

Krumi is an important disease described in ayurvedic science and is described in detail with respect to its etiology, clinical features and treatment. The term krumi is used to denote tiny organisms which reside in human body. Concept of krumi and their relation in the development of disease is described in almost all ayurvedicsamhita. Acharyas also describe krumi as an etiological factor in various diseases. Krumi contribute significantly to global burden of diseases. Overcrowding, contamination of water, poor sanitation greatly favour transmission of parasitic infection resulting in high endemicity. Intestinal worm infestation results in impaired nutrition. Many neglect this condition as most of the times it may be asymptomatic. It maybe associated with malnutrition, iron deficiency anaemia, repeated gastrointestinal disturbances and upper respiratory tract infections.

The present article has the general objective of conducting a comparative study between two Portuguese language textbooks for the 8th year of Elementary School – Final Years: “Singular e Plural: leitura, produção e estudos de linguagem”, by Balthasar and Goulart (2015) and “Tecendo Linguagens: Língua Portuguesa”, by Oliveira and Araújo (2018), used in municipal public schools in the city of Carpina-PE. Based on the assumptions of Literary Literacy developed by Cosson (2014), Marinho and Pinheiro (2012), the guidelines for the teaching of Portuguese language present in the PCN (BRASIL, 1997; 1998), the BNCC (BRASIL, 2018) and the Curriculum of Pernambuco (PERNAMBUCO, 2019), we analyze the data collected in order to reflect on the space of cordel in the textbook and its performance in the classroom. The methodology applied in this article is of qualitative approach with basic nature, explanatory objectives and bibliographic procedure. The results obtained demonstrate that cordel, even being present in the two selected textbooks, is not placed in a way that promotes literary literacy, being crucial the critical look of the teacher before the treatment given to cordel in the textbooks and its value for the formation of the student.

The present study investigated the effects of writing reader response journals (RRJ) on the quality of responses to literary works assigned. The study is underpinned by Rosenblatt’s Reader Response Theory, literacy principles, and sociocultural views. The study assumes that readers’ responses to literature involve critical and aesthetic reading-writing (literacy) events that are collaboratively constructed. The study involved an intact group (N=22) comprising EFL teacher trainees of a private education college in Ciamis, Indonesia, taking Literature Criticism subject. This time series pre-experimental study entailed repeated measurements of critical reading and assessments of aesthetic responses before and after the treatment. Before the treatment, New Critics’ conventional text-based teaching strategies were given. Findings of the study suggest that, quantitatively, as ANOVA proved, the use of reader response journal gave effects on the constantly better achievements, and, as the Paired t-Test indicated, the treatment resulted in better quality. Additionally, qualitative evidences revealed from observation, interviews, and document analysis showed better quality of the trainees’ aesthetic experiences reflecting varied reader response strategies. The study recommends further studies develop reader response-based literature teaching model across contexts in reference to gender issues.

Arsha is a very common ano-rectal disease, which destroys the patient’s life as an enemy does. In modern science, it may be co-related with haemorrhoids. Haemorrhoid is a type of ano-rectal ailment that becomes more common as people get older. According to John Goligher (1984), 50 percent of people over the age of 50 years may have haemorrhoids after a thorough examination. It doesn't have a single cause, and it usually manifests as a group effort. In order to cure the patient, these conditions should be addressed with caution. Ayurveda and modern science have both outlined many therapies, surgical procedures, medicines etc. When treating this disease, a specific modality should be considered in each circumstance. Patients, however, receive incorrect therapies or medicines due to a lack of information, resulting in several consequences. So, using a comparison of basic concepts, the right treatment of arsha described in ayurveda and western science is elaborated here.

The present study is aimed at examining the effect of reflective thinking strategies on developing literary reading skills and metacognitive reading awareness of the EFL student teachers. The study adopted the quasi-experimental design. One experimental group of 40 major English students at the third-year Faculty of Education, Zagazig University in Egypt, participated in the study. The treatment conducted in fourteen sessions through teaching King Lear drama by Shakespeare. The utilized instruments included a literary reading test that was developed and used as a pre-post test and a metacognitive reading awareness scale, which was also designed by the researcher and approved by the jury members. Parametric statistical calculations have used for data analysis through the SPSS program. Results revealed that reflective thinking had a positive effect on developing literacy reading skills and metacognitive reading awareness of the EFL student teachers.

В данной статье рассматривается проблема факоморфической глаукомы. Факоморфическая глаукома развивается вследствие вторичного закрытия угла передней камеры, которая вызывается незрелой возрастной катарактой. Данный вид глаукомы чаще встречается у лиц с короткими параметрами глазного яблока, особенно в азиатских странах. К сожалению из-за позднего обращения пациентов за медицинской помощи, развивается атрофия зрительного нерва. Цель этого обзора - осветить эпидемиологию, факторы риска, диагностику, варианты лечения и зрительные прогнозы факоморфической глаукомы. This article discusses the problem of phacomorphic glaucoma. Phacomorphic glaucoma develops due to secondary closure of the anterior chamber angle, which is caused by immature age-related cataracts. This type of glaucoma is more common in individuals with short eyeball parameters, especially in Asian countries. Unfortunately, optic atrophy develops because of patients' late application for medical care. The purpose of this review is to highlight the epidemiology, risk factors, diagnosis, treatment options, and visual prognosis of phacomorphic glaucoma.

A healthy woman is a promise of a healthy family during different stages of her life, from puberty to menopause; the theory of healthy yoni has been mentioned in Ayurveda and modern science. In Ayurveda, women's healthcare is linked to a separate section, where the term Yonivyapada includes the majority of gynaecological disorders. Dysmenorrhea can be correlated with Udavartini Yonivyapada in Ayurveda. The main clinical characteristic of Udavartini is 'rajah Krichratha’(painful menstruation). Therefore, this study has attempted to conduct a conceptual study that covers almost all aspects of Udavartini Yonivyapada so that early diagnosis and treatment can be given.

Abstract (sommario):

Sex or the intimate relationship between or among characters is an act that is explicitly depicted in the novels of Ayi Kwei Armah for various purposes. The purpose of sex should not just be sex for the sake of sex, or for the sake of making a writer ‘popular’. The paper argues that the act of sex plays a number of literary functions in these relationships. The thematic as well as other literary relevance of sex is explored through literary concepts such as ‘linguistic foregrounding’ and ‘paradigmatic associations’. Through these literary concepts of stylistic analysis, it becomes clear that sex plays the following roles in Armah’s novels: serves as an avenue for characterization; establishes a relationship as loving or adrift; is a tool of oppression and also vengeance; creates suspense and retains readers’ interest; obscures the real story plot for a literary effect such as ‘to motivate but also shock his (Armah’s) audience into activity’ (Fubara 72); and cures characters’ negative emotions like loneliness and anguish, among other roles. The paper concludes that Armah’s treatment of sex in largely explicit terms in his novels is not gratuitous, but fundamental for the appreciation of his literary works.

Alejandra Basualto is a little studied yet significant Chilean prose writer and poet whose first short story collection, La mujer de yeso (1988), exemplifies the redefinition of the woman writer that occurred in many female- authored fiction texts published during the Pinochet regime. Exemplifying the aesthetic of censorship and silence characterizing her entire short story collection, analyses in this article of “La espera” and “1954” reveal how Basualto undermines the repressive hierarchies defining Chilean politics of the dictatorship era as well as the national literary establishment through what I call her aesthetic of silence and censorship. The art of censorship recalls the context of dictatorial repression Basualto confronts in this collection, while the aesthetic of silence points to the dialogue with international feminist thought perceptible in the compilation. In these two short stories, creative women protagonists challenge institutional power structures by assuming the feminized positions of vulnerability and silence. Basualto incorporates literary strategies like metaphors, mythical allusions, and ellipses to create an intricate textual dynamic representing repressive military tactics like censorship and disappearing dissidents. A story inscribed on a tortured and repressed female body longing to create, an extended metaphor for the Chilean nation and its writers, “La espera” showcases artists’ frustrated attempts to create during the regime while representing the psychological despair of Chileans suffering due to the “disappearance” of their loved ones. The focus on women and writing in “1954” depicts women authors’ need to identify female literary models and to imagine belonging to same-sex writers’ communities to succeed as authors despite the male-dominant literary establishment, traditional gender roles, and military and self-censorship.

According to nowaday protocols of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) treatment, the percentage of recovering patients has increased significantly. This determines the necessity for comlex long-term rehabilitation, as chemotherapeutic drugs are highly toxic and contribute to the development of comorbid diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, nervous and musculosceletal systems. The purpose of the study was to review and analyze data from foreign and domestic literature concerning possibilities for rehabilitative treatment of children with ALL and to reveal informative methods assessing the effectiveness of rehabilitation. Important elements of rehabilitation goals and assessment of its the effectiveness are the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health of Children and Adolescents, and the Quality of Childrens’ Life. Rehabilitation begins at the hospital and includes psychological support for the child with the involvement of psychotherapists and family, as well as the performance of certain physical exercises lasting for 15-30 minutes, which are selected individually, taking into account the functional capabilities and motivation of the child. After the acute period, physical activity is carried out in accordance with an individual plan, which takes into account the peculiarities of the disease and includes active video games, cycling and other activities. Rehabilitation treatment on the basis of sanatorium-resort institutions with the participation of a multidisciplinary team is actual. Such treatment, in addition to physical exercises, includes the use of natural and preformed physical factors in order to influence the manifestations of comorbid pathology, and also contributes to an increase of the social activity and independence of the child. However, the number of such studies is limited, which determines the necessity to develop clear practical recommendations regarding methods of exposure, their duration and intensity.

In his 1989 article entitled “Apologetic Literature and Ambassadorial Activities,” William R. Schoedel considers “aspects of the form of apologetic literature in the early church and Judaism.” More specifically, he attempts to discover possible models for the literary character of the Christian apologies, and in particular theEmbassyof Athenagoras, in the various kinds of addresses that ambassadors delivered before the emperor when presenting appeals and requests. Examples of such addresses include the ambassadorial speech discussed by the third-century rhetorician Menander Rhetor, the legal oration as exemplified by Philostratus in his treatment of the trial of Apollonius of Tyana, and the imperiallibellusor petition. Schoedel draws two clear conclusions from this investigation. The first is that the literary form of Athenagoras'sEmbassyis an “apologetically grounded petition,” that is, a “mixed form that as such appears to have no real precedent in the Greco-Roman literary tradition.” The second is that “there is good reason to think that [it] was written to be presented to the emperor or delivered before him.” The present article will explore the ideas and arguments that led Schoedel to each of his conclusions and will offer an alternative interpretation of the evidence in each case.

Procedures for research and development include analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating learning products in the form of literary teaching materials responsive to Sasak culture for class XI students of high school specialization groups. To find out the effectiveness of the product, a user of literary teaching materials is responsive to Sasak culture. The results of the effectiveness of teaching materials products before and after treatment are known that t test = -13,281 with a significance level of 0.0000 less than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between literary learning before and after the use of literature teaching products responsive to Sasak culture. The mean score of the learning outcomes before the treatment (pretest) was 51.4545 while the mean score of the learning outcomes after the treatment (posttest) was 76.8182. This means that there is an increase in literary learning outcomes after the eleventh grade students of MAN 1 Mataram use literary teaching materials responsive to Sasak culture.

Children who are afflicted with problems of the law must remain entitled to obtain services, guidance, education, protection, and fulfillment of their rights. This is directed to help children to prepare for their future life which is better and more dignified. The study is aimed at describing the nurture of children offenders, the running, and the benefits of literacy learning for inmates who receive rehabilitation treatment in the Institute for Children Special Rehabilitation (ICSR) of Class II B of Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. The study is descriptive qualitative research involving 23 inmates and one instructor. Data are obtained from observations, interviews, and documents. Data analyses are done in three phases; namely selection, presentation, and conclusion. The findings are as follows. First, the rehabilitation phases in the ICSR are orientation, personality nurture, advanced nurture, and integration. Orientation and nurture phases are conducted in the ICSR, while integration is done outside the institute. Second, the literary learning activities are run informally taking the inmate conditions into consideration. Instructional materials consist of poetry writing, poetry musicalization, and basic exercises in drama staging. Third, literary learning gives benefits in character education, the betterment of social adaptation, and media for catharsis.

Cultural influencers of mental health in elite athletes include: (1) the lack of acceptance of women as athletes; (2) lower acceptability of mental health symptoms and disorders among non-white athletes; (3) non-disclosure of religious beliefs; and (4) higher dependence on economic benefits. Coaches have an important role in supporting elite athletes in obtaining treatment for mental illness. Brief anti-stigma interventions in elite athletes decrease stigma and improve literary about mental health.ConclusionThere is a need for various actors to provide more effective strategies to overcome the stigma that surrounds mental illness, increase mental health literacy in the athlete/coach community, and address athlete-specific barriers to seeking treatment for mental illness. The article reviews the problem of hippocampal sclerosis as the main cause of pharmacoresistant temporal lobe epilepsy. Clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, recommended methods of examination and treatment of hippocampal sclerosis are given. The effectiveness of surgical and medical treatments was analyzed. The relevance of this article is due to a general increase in the detection of this disease, primarily owing the improvement of neuroimaging methods. Given that this disease is relatively rare, and that surgical treatment is often delayed for many years, a review of this topic is useful for early diagnosis and improved treatment outcomes. Modern literary sources on hippocampal sclerosis were studied. The studied material is summarized and presented in the form of a literature review in this article. A search for literary sources was carried out in two main scientific databases: Scopus and PubMed. The review included original articles, research, and official guidelines from medical associations.

The great Ayurvedic Acharya mentioned in the Samhita: "Sarvendriyanam Nayam Pradhanam". The eye is the most critical organ, and it is essential to maintain eye health and effectively alleviate possible disorders. The Acharyas described detailed local treatments for managing and treating eye diseases using simple but effective methods called "Kriyakalpa". Kriyakalpa is a treatment method that refers to procedures where drugs/medications are used in or around the eyeball as a method of therapy. Kriyakalpa has more advantages over oral drug administration because it allows more time for bioavailability. Modern science also uses drug absorption through the skin and is considered an effective method of drug delivery, since Pindi(poultice) is the modified procedure of Bidalaka, and also follows the same route. This article discusses the literary review, mode of action and significance of Pindi(poultice) in Netra Rogas.

This article examines the treatment of racism in Hebrew literary translation. It relies on culture theorists such as Foucault, Said, Fanon and Bhabha who have analyzed the relations of a society with individuals and groups whom it regards as “others”. The texts discussed have been selected because they can illustrate critical arguments made by these theorists. They include texts which are openly racist (Henryk Sienkiewicz’s W pustyni i w puszczy [In Desert and Wilderness], Margaret Mitchell’s Gone with the Wind, Edgar Wallace’s The People of the River) and others that criticize racism but fall into the trap against which they warn (Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Harriet Beecher Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin). The article also refers to “Geschichte von den schwarzen Buben” (in English, “The Story of the Inky Boys”), one of the stories included in Heinrich Hoffmann’s Struwwelpeter (The Slovenly Peter). In the latter, the Hebrew translations (rather than the German source) make use of racist stereotypes. Inspired by translation researchers who regard translation as the meeting place of a culture with “others” (Venuti, Tymoczco, Cronin), the article also makes use of the concept of norms as elaborated by Toury. In line with his theoretical approach, it is assumed that the treatment of racism in translation depends not only on the overall attitude to racism in the receiving culture but also on its translation norms.

Jaundice is defined as a yellowish discoloration of skin, mucous membrane and sclera due to the deposition of bile pigment (bilirubin). It can be classified as pre-hepatic, hepatic and post hepatic jaundice. The causes of various forms of Jaundice are either acquired or congenital. The incidence of jaundice in India is 2.37-3.15 per 1000 population. Varied reasons result in jaundice. Some of them are medically managed whereas some require surgical interventions. The underlying causative factors and clinical manifestations in such conditions are similar to Kamala described in Ayurveda. Various treatment protocols have been mentioned by various Acharya in their respective Samhita. One among them is a handbook for an Ayurvedic physician from Andhra Pradesh, written by Basavaraju named as Basavarajiyam where he has mentioned Agnikarma in Kamala Vyadhi which is a unique practice that might help for early recovery of patients. Another famous book on Viddha and Agnikarma Chikitsa by Dr.R.B. Gogate from Maharashtra also mentions about similar kind of treatment. By considering all these, the present article is aimed at understanding the textual references of Agnikarma in Kamala.

Infertility is presently a widely spreading significantly, and couples with nil progeny are increasing worldwide. A thought on this problem is discussed, and studies regarding the problem expect to give some solutions. Aim and Objective: To do a literary survey of Vajeekarana concerning a solution for infertility and health maintenance. Materials and Methods: Literary research is carried out on Vajeekarana therapy based on the literary sources available from the institutional library. Discussion: The scope of Vajeekarana therapy is vast, and the application of a so-called treatment modality based on Ayurveda is considered beneficial for nil-progeny couples to get a healthy child. The formulations explained in the science can be used fruitfully to achieve better progeny and general healthy conditions. The psychological involvement of the couples also has to be considered here. Conclusion: The word Vajeekarana implies enhancing good reproductive health by providing physical strength to the individuals involved. A better protocol for proposing a treatment plan, as well as its application and determination, will help in reaching the destination.

<p>Rites as the reflection of religious ideas and everyday traditions are of great importance to understand the national picture of the world among the representatives of different peoples. The article examines the rites of the East African society aimed at healing; the ritual vocabulary, saturated with national and cultural information is analyzed and the translation decisions in the transfer of cultural-labeled units reflecting the realities of the Swahili culture carriers are demonstrated. Taking into account the nature of the presented material, the methods widely used in historical and ethnographic and philological research were used during the present study: descriptive, systemic, and semantic one. Nowadays, traditional medicine and conventional medicine go hand in hand in Eastern Africa countries, particularly in Tanzania, complementing each other in the treatment and the prevention of diseases, the preservation and the strengthening of human health. In the case when modern medicine is powerless, doctors recommend that patients turn to herbalists. At the same time, it is impossible to confuse healers who use grasses and other natural resources in their work, passing their experience from generation to generation, with sorcerers and the sorcerers not engaged in treatment. The conclusions formulated in the process of research are of practical importance and can be used by the experts of ethnography, ethnology, translation studies, linguistics, cultural studies and historical science, as well as during the lectures on the study of lexicology in Swahili. </p>

Shalakya Tantra is the main branch of Astanga Ayurveda, it deals with the etiology, diagnosis, prognosis, prevention and treatment of disease which are located above the clavicle region in which the eye is a highly specialized sense organ that primarily serves the function of vision. Drushti or vision is the most important Indriya/sense of human body according to Ayurveda. Visual disturbances are described in Ayurveda under the terms Timir, Kacha, and Linganasha and progresses to total vision loss. Timir is one of the ‘Drushtigataroga’, if it is not treated then it may lead into complete blindness. The symptoms of Patalgat Timir can be correlated with refractive error. Globally it is estimated that approximately 1.3 billion people live with some form of vision impairment. There is no medicinal treatment available for refractive error in modern science and available therapies have some complications like dry eye, corneal ulceration etc. While in Ayurvedic text Timir is said to be ‘Ayushdhisadhya’ if treated in early stages. So, Ayurvedic science can be explored to find a better alternative to manage this condition. In Ayurveda there are number of preventive and curative modalities explained to treat Timir in the form of Pathykaraahar-vihar, Rasayana yoga, Chakshusya drugs, Netrakarma, Kriyakalpa, Panchkarma etc. Use of these therapies helps us to prevent vision loss and to maintain vision.

The term Churna may be applied to the powder prepared by a single drug or a combination of more drugs. It may be considered as modified form of Kalka Kapana. For attaining better therapeutic results, it is advisable to powder all the drugs of formulation separately and then only they are supposed to be mixed together uniformly. It can be used as main medicament in the treatment of many diseases. It has both advantages and disadvantages. It can be used as Prakshepaka Dravya along with quantity & Sevana Vidhi. Hence, the prepared drug is to be stored in Air tight containers for packaging with maintaining quality parameters.

Musharraf Alam Zauqi is renowned novelist, short story writer, dramatist, columnist and poet. His novels earned a great fame for him, this is due to the unique themes and literary treatment of these creations. In his very much acclaimed novels he has described the philosophy of human nature. His novels predominantly narrated the heritage and culture of variegated societies. He masterfully highlighted the abruptly changing norms of society. Musharraf Alam Zauqi also opted blunt style to bring forth the ills of life. Some of his novels brought out feminist themes, the aspiration of self recognition and freedom of speech. The skillful narration style of his writings make him distinct novelist. This research article is an effort to highlight the novelistic distinctions of Musharraf Alam Zauqi.

Seed treatment is extremely important and beneficial for all crops, which aims to eliminate and control fungi, insects and other pests that attack seeds, seedlings and plants. For this, it is necessary to use new technologies and agricultural equipment that help in the treatment of these seeds, making the producer more profitable. This literary review aims to describe different types of seed treatments and agricultural equipment that can help in this process. This study took place between October and November 2022 and used different works as a basis to develop this review, in which it can be seen that the demand for seed treatment in Brazil has increased in relation to the use of fungicides and application technologies and equipment. , where it can be concluded that seed treatment is constantly evolving, both with regard to seed treatment equipment and the chemical and biological products used.

This paper discusses problems involved in the translation of literary works that apply linguistic varieties, especially geographical dialects. It surveys selected approaches to the functions of dialects in literature and to the strategies of dealing with linguistic variation in translation, arguing that the understanding of the issue may be deepened and systematized by applying notions drawn from relevance theory. The use of dialect in literary texts is interpreted as a communicative clue and the translators’ approach to its rendering is described with reference to the cognitive environment of the recipients and the balance of processing effort and communicative gain. Examples are drawn from the Polish translations of The Secret Garden by F.H. Burnett, the oldest coming from 1917 and the newest from 2012, which highlight the translators’ changing assumptions on the recipients’ cognitive environment reflected in the choice of the strategy of dialect rendition.

Given the current context, an age of technological innovations, thinking about old books in the printed format and not correlating them to the new moment is perhaps not the best of the alternatives, especially if we consider paper’s fragility. However, a question is necessary: What, after all, are the advantages of using digital support in the process of preserving a literary collection? Regarding the possible answers, we can say that there are many benefits gained from this process. Among them, we have the ease and speed of access to data and information, in addition to the democratization of knowledge. Thus, thinking of such advantages, the present study aims to present the possibilities of research in digital collections, as well as the preservation practices executed with literary collections in the city of Caxias-MA. Relevance. Vasoproliferative retinal tumor is a rare acquired disease. The exact pathogenesis of vasoproliferative tumors remains completely unknown, and it has long been assumed that their development is a reactive process with the proliferation of glial cells and blood vessels. Despite the widespread use of this term, vasoproliferative tumor cannot be fully attributed to true tumors and it cannot be reliably established that it is vascular in its pathogenesis. The clinical signs of vasoproliferative retinal tumor manifests itself as a yellowish-red, often loose mass with vessels of normal or slightly enlarged caliber, usually small, single and located in the lower-outer or lower part of the fundus. Due to their rarity, there are currently no uniform recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of this pathology. Most of the available methods have limited effectiveness, causing a temporary regression of the process, which makes it necessary to repeatedly re-treat or combine several treatments. In some cases, the use of several therapeutic options leads to complications that can be caused by both therapy and the natural progression of the disease, which together prevents reconvalescence and improvement of visual func tions. Purpose. This article presents for the first time a detailed review of the literature, including generalized data on the epidemiology, pathogenesis, histological features, differential diagnosis and modern approaches to the treatment of this pathology. Material and methods. The article uses literary materials of domestic and foreign authors published in the period from 1982 to the present. Conclusion. It is necessary to further study the mechanisms of development of vasoproliferative tumors and related complications.
