Ao longo do s?culo XVI, diversas ?reas do continente americano passaram pelo processo de conquista empreendido por na??es europeias como a Espanha e Portugal, por exemplo. Partindo desse contexto hist?rico como cen?rio, temos as obras liter?rias Malinche (2005) e In?s del alma m?a (2006), narrativas de extra??o hist?rica escritas por Laura Esquivel e Isabel Allende, respectivamente, que apresentam um olhar voltado para figuras femininas que participaram de modo significativo na ocupa??o do M?xico e do Chile pelos espanh?is. A presen?a de protagonistas femininas ? um tra?o recorrente em ambas as escritoras latino-americanas e, no caso das narrativas que nos propusemos analisar, esta caracter?stica se mant?m, acrescida da mem?ria como elemento fundamental na constru??o dos textos. Desse modo, buscamos neste trabalho, analisar como Esquivel e Allende constroem suas narrativas dando voz ? mulher como protagonista na conquista da Am?rica e como o abandono, presente na vida de Malinalli e In?s Su?rez, influenciou significativamente seus destinos, deixando marcas em suas mem?rias, elementos que s?o resgatados pelas autoras. Nosso estudo ? baseado em pesquisa bibliogr?fica, utilizando como base te?rica Costa Lima (1986; 2006) e suas discuss?es sobre as rela??es entre texto hist?rico e texto ficcional; Menton (2003) e Trouche (2006) e suas sistematiza??es te?ricas sobre romance hist?rico; Todorov (1993), D?az del Castillo (2003) e Delgado (1987) e suas abordagens acerca dos dados hist?ricos referentes ?s protagonistas das narrativas em estudo; Le Goff (2003) e Ricoeur (2007) e suas concep??es acerca da mem?ria, entre outros autores relacionados ao tema da pesquisa. Diante dos objetivos propostos, verificamos que o abandono foi um fator determinante para o destino delineado das protagonistas Malinalli e In?s Su?rez. Ademais, atrav?s da an?lise, pudemos identificar uma clara inten??o das escritoras de elaborar releituras e/ou reescritas das mem?rias de ambas personagens hist?ricas ficcionalizadas, destacando o protagonismo da mulher na conquista da Am?rica e questionando os registros hist?ricos sobre elas, bem como as imagens constru?das em torno de suas figuras.
A lo largo del siglo XVI, diversas ?reas del continente americano pasaron por el proceso de conquista realizado por naciones europeas como Espa?a y Portugal, por ejemplo. A partir de este contexto hist?rico como escenario, tenemos las obras literarias Malinche (2005) e In?s del alma m?a (2006), novelas escritas por Laura Esquivel e Isabel Allende, respectivamente, que presentan una mirada direccionada a las figuras femeninas que participaron de modo significativo en la ocupaci?n de M?xico y Chile por los espa?oles. La presencia de protagonistas femeninas es un rasgo recurrente en las dos escritoras latinoamericanas y en el caso de las narrativas que nos proponemos analizar, esa caracter?stica se mantiene, a?adida de la memoria como elemento fundamental en la elaboraci?n de los textos. De este modo, buscamos en este trabajo, analizar c?mo Esquivel y Allende construyen sus narrativas de extracci?n hist?rica dando voz a la mujer como protagonista en la conquista de Am?rica y c?mo el abandono, hecho presente en la vida de Malinalli e In?s Su?rez, influy? significativamente sus destinos, dejando huellas en sus memorias, elementos estos rescatados por las autoras. Nuestro estudio est? basado en investigaci?n bibliogr?fica, utilizando como fundamentaci?n te?rica Costa Lima (1986; 2006) y sus discusiones sobre las relaciones entre el texto hist?rico y el texto ficcional; Menton (2003) y Trouche (2006) y sus sistematizaciones te?ricas sobre la novela hist?rica; Todorov (1993), D?az del Castillo (2003) y Delgado (1987) y sus abordajes de los datos hist?ricos relacionados a las dos personajes principales de las narrativas en estudio; Le Goff (2003) y Ricoeur (2007) y sus concepciones sobre la memoria, entre otros autores relacionados al tema de la investigaci?n. Delante de los objetivos propuestos, verificamos que el abandono ha sido un factor determinante para el destino dise?ado de las protagonistas Malinalli e In?s Su?rez. Adem?s, a trav?s del an?lisis, hemos podido identificar evidente intenci?n de las escritoras en elaborar relecturas y/o reescrituras de las memorias de las dos personajes hist?ricas ficcionalizadas, llamando la atenci?n para el protagonismo de la mujer en la conquista de Am?rica y cuestionando los registros hist?ricos sobre ellas, as? como las im?genes construidas en torno a sus figuras.

In this essay we follow a professional female photographer on the island of Gotland in Sweden around the turn of the twentieth century. The story of Laura Stenman’s life has for a long time been hidden, but through literature- and archival studies, her biographical story was pieced together and revealed during the winter of 2019. Through this essay her family life and photographic work has emerged. In parallel, a piece of the history of photography and the first photographers on Gotland are revealed. The essay highlights the educational opportunities and advice available to those interested in photography at this time. It also describes the photographic studios that Laura Stenman and her second husband worked in. How the studio was planned and what inventories you would find in them. It also describes which assignments were the most common, which customers they had, how they communicated with the customers and how they found new ones. The economic conditions and aspects both for the photographer and the person to be portrayed, were of the utmost importance, and this is also being discussed. Some of the photographic pictures that Laura Stenman made were found and studied in detail in order to find patterns in her work. The essay also highlights how both the married and unmarried women were affected by changes in two big reforms in Sweden. First in 1846 when new opportunities arose for those who wanted to carry on activities in the craft profession, and second in 1864 when a business freedom regulation was introduced. Laura Stenman was married twice an both marriages changed her life and her history in different directions which is also being discussed throughout the essay.
I denna uppsats får vi följa en kvinnlig yrkesverksam fotograf på Gotland under sekelskiftet 1900. Laura Stenmans historia var länge dold men genom litteratur- och arkivstudier pusslades hennes biografiska skelett under vintern 2019 åter samman. En bild av hennes familjeliv och fotografiska arbete utkristalliserade sig. Parallellt har frågor om när fotokonsten och fotograferna egentligen kom till Gotland och vilka de första fotograferna var, besvarats. Vilka utbildningsmöjligheter och råd fanns för den intresserade vid denna tid?Arbetet beskriver de fotoateljéer som Laura Stenman och hennes andra man var aktiva i. Vart de byggdes upp, hur de planerades, fungerade och vad som fanns i dem. Även vilka fotografernas vanligaste uppdrag var, vilka kunder de hade, hur de kommunicerade med dem och hittade nya. De ekonomiska förutsättningarna och aspekterna både för fotografen och den som skulle låta sig avporträtteras var av allra största vikt vilket också diskuteras. Ett antal fotografiska visitkort som Laura Stenman lämnat efter sig studerades närmare. Vid 1846 års reform avskaffades skråväsendet i Sverige vilket gav nya möjligheter för den som ville bedriva verksamhet inom hantverksyrken och 1864 infördes sedan näringsfrihetsförordning. Uppsatsen lyfter hur både gifta och ogifta kvinnor påverkades av detta. Laura Stenman själv var gift två gånger och dessa giftermål påverkade hennes liv och historieskrivning i olika riktningar vilket har diskuterats genom hela arbetet.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att genomföra en jämförande studie av den klassiska Hollywood-deckaren, representerad av de tre första filmerna i Thin Man-serien, och film noir. Analysen utgår ifrån Thin Man-filmerna The Thin Man (1934), After the Thin Man (1936) och Another Thin Man (1939) och noir filmerna The Maltese Falcon (1941), Laura (1944), The Big Sleep (1946) och Dark Passage (1947). Den grundläggande teorin för uppsatsen är genreteori och hur den klassiska Hollywood-deckarfilmen skilde sig ifrån film noir. Analysen är uppdelad i fyra kapitel, i vilka olika delar av innehållet i både Thin Man-filmerna och de fyra exemplen av film noir analyseras. De olika kapitlen handlar om manliga huvudkaraktären, den kvinnliga huvudkaraktären, hur de olika filmerna hanterade ämnen berörande sex och sexualitet och hur samhället och människorna representeras i filmerna. Slutsats omfattar sedan en diskussion om uppsatsens resultat och svaret på varför Thin Man-filmerna inte räknas som film noir.

This study analyzes the journalistic work of Otto Lara Resende (1922 1992) based on columns he published in the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo from 1991 to 1992. It describes the support in which the columns exist the newspaper and discusses the importance of this writing genre for the periodicals. It also provides an overview of journalistic columns in Brazil, describing influences evinced by the columns over the decades. Some of the 523 columns that Otto Lara Resende wrote for the Folha de S.Paulo are selected to demonstrate features of this columnist s writing, such as irony, criticism and the use of day-to-day life. The texts by Otto concerning the Collor Era, a period of recent Brazilian history marked by intense activity by the press, are given a special focus. Having arisen in France at the end of the 19th century, the practice of writing and publishing columns soon arrived in Brazil, and with the overall development of the press in the 20th century the column s role was consolidated and took on peculiarities that became established as distinctively Brazilian characteristics. The newspaper column has been a starting point for various writers who became known for their column writing, including Rubem Braga, Paulo Mendes Campos, Antônio Maria and Otto Lara Resende himself. He was a journalist in the widest sense of the term having worked in all sectors of newspaper production: reporting, editing, report planning, editorials and authored several books including O Braço Direito and Boca do Inferno. His last columns display striking characteristics, as described in this study. His columns for the Folha are a good example of the blending of different fields journalism and literature which is typical of Brazilian periodicals, giving rise to reflections on current journalistic practice
Essa pesquisa analisa a produção jornalística de Otto Lara Resende (1922-1992) a partir das crônicas que ele publicou no jornal Folha de S.Paulo entre os anos de 1991 e 1992. O trabalho estuda o suporte das crônicas o jornal e discute a importância desse gênero de escrita para os periódicos. O estudo também traça um panorama da crônica no Brasil, mostrando influências sofridas com o passar das décadas. Selecionamos ainda algumas crônicas das 523 que Otto Lara Resende publicou na Folha de S.Paulo para mostrar traços do texto do cronista, como a ironia, a crítica e uso do tom cotidiano. Os textos de Otto sobre a Era Collor , período da história recente do país que foi especialmente marcante pela atuação da imprensa, mereceram destaque no estudo. Surgida na França, no final do século XIX, a crônica logo veio para o Brasil e, no decorrer do século XX, paralelamente ao desenvolvimento da imprensa, consolidou-se e ganhou particularidades que depois se consagrariam como brasileiras. A crônica abrigou uma leva de escritores que se tornariam conhecidos principalmente por suas atividades de cronista, como Rubem Braga, Paulo Mendes Campos, Antônio Maria e Otto Lara Resende, entre outros. Jornalista no sentido mais amplo do termo ele trabalhou em todos os setores da produção de um jornal: reportagem, edição, pauta, editoriais e autor de livros são dele O Braço Direito, Boca do Inferno, entre outros , Otto Lara Resende imprimiu nos seus últimos trabalhos características marcantes do gênero crônica, destacados por essa pesquisa. Suas crônicas para a Folha são um bom exemplo de um cruzamento de fronteiras do jornalismo e da literatura que é típico dos periódicos nacionais e abre espaço para reflexões sobre a atualidade jornalística

ABSTRACT This study focuses on twenty-one particular texts published in 1925 as contemporaries of The Great Gatsby. The manuscript is divided into four categories—The Impressionists, The Experimentalists, The Realists, and The Independents. Among The Impressionists are F. Scott Fitzgerald himself, Willa Cather (The Professor’s House), Sherwood Anderson (Dark Laughter), William Carlos Williams (In the American Grain), Elinor Wylie (The Venetian Glass Nephew), John Dos Passos (Manhattan Transfer), and William Faulkner (New Orleans Sketches). The Experimentalists are Gertrude Stein (The Making of Americans), E. E. Cummings (& aka “Poems 48-96”), Ezra Pound (A Draft of XVI Cantos), T. S. Eliot (“The Hollow Men”), Laura Riding (“Summary for Alastor”), and John Erskine (The Private Life of Helen of Troy). The Realists are Theodore Dreiser (An American Tragedy), Edith Wharton (The Mother’s Recompense), Upton Sinclair (Mammonart), Ellen Glasgow (Barren Ground), Sinclair Lewis (Arrowsmith), James Boyd (Drums), and Ernest Hemingway (In Our Time). The Independents are Archibald MacLeish (The Pot of Earth) and Robert Penn Warren (“To a Face in a Crowd”). Although these twenty-two texts may in some cases represent literary fragmentations, each in its own way also represents a coherent response to the spirit of the times that is in one way or another cognate to The Great Gatsby. The fact that all these works appeared the same year is special because the authors, if not already famous, would become famous, and their works were or would come to represent classic American literature around the world. The twenty-two authors either knew each other personally or knew each other’s works. Naturally, they were also influenced by writings of international authors and philosophers. The greatest common elements among the poets and fiction writers are their uninhibited interest in sex, an absorbing cynicism about life, and the frequent portrayal of disintegration of the family, a trope for what had happened to the countries and to the “family of nations” that experienced the Great War. In 1925, it would seem, Fitzgerald and many of his writing peers—some even considered his betters—channeled a major spirit of the times, and Fitzgerald did it more successfully than almost anyone.

Gegenentwürfe zur männlichen Perspektive populärer Filme, in denen Frauen als passive Objekte fungieren.

Abstract (sommario):

The aim of this thesis is the detection of changes ongoing in time on exposed larch wood samples coated with water-soluble stain paint depending on the intensity of weather conditions associated with the orientation on the cardinal point and the season. The thesis is supported by laboratory measurement which took place in Department of Furniture, Design and Living at Mendel University in Brno. One coating system in three different shades was studied in exterior. Half of the samples were impregnated and half were exposed without impregnation. The measured values were compared to reference samples which were kept in dark environment without air for the whole time of exposure.
