Abstract (sommario):
In this article, in the form of publication, are presented key study findings that cover both methodological issues of measurement and comprehensive analysis of regional labor productivity, along with extended formulations of study results. Based on the experience of domestic and foreign statisticians, the author substantiates the system of regional labour productivity indicators required for its integrated assessment. In the author’s opinion, this system is needed in a formation of a single coordinated approach to the calculation of labour productivity from the perspective of branches, enterprises, and constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The introduction argues for the relevance of the issues related to measuring regional labour productivity, which is necessary to evaluate the progress of the Federal Project “Systemic Measures to Improve Labor Productivity” implemented under the national project “Labor Productivity and Employment Support”.The author justifies the solution to the problem of clustering regions by regional labour productivity indicator using a combined approach, which explains the trends in the economic development of the regions of Russia in the selected clusters. The final part of the article concludes that the study is relevant in assessing the factors of regional labour productivity needed to identify growth reserves or to prevent stagnation in economic development, measured, in particular, by means of a basic indicator of the economic production efficiency in constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Abstract (sommario):
For sustainable development of the Russian construction complex it is necessary to increase labour productivity. All research related to labour productivity is a topical task for companies and the state as a whole. In order to analyse the indicators of labour productivity efficiency in capital repairs, the data on the normative labour intensity of Germany and Austria, which occupy leading positions in terms of labour productivity per working hour of time, were analysed. This study considers the labour costs of construction workers involved in various technological processes in major repairs in Russia and EU countries. Also, in this work a comparative analysis of actual and normative indicators of labour productivity in Russia and EU countries is carried out. As a result of this work the result was obtained, showing the absence of stable correlation between labour inputs for a set of work processes. In connection with the obtained results, it was suggested that it is possible to identify stable relationships as a result of grouping technological processes by various parameters, which in turn will allow to identify the presence and levels of influence of assumed factors on productivity change for different countries. Labor productivity and labor costs are influenced by technological processes. major repairs.

Abstract (sommario):
Theoretically, the relationship between health expenditures and labour productivity is ambiguous. On the one hand, health expenditures can enhance labour productivity by improving health of workers. Poor health impairs both the working hours and productivities of workers. When workers are healthy, they become physically and mentally more energetic and they have higher incentive to develop new skills and knowledge. On the other hand, increase in health expenditures may deteriorates labour productivity by crowding out physical capital investment. Causality between health expenditures and labour productivity is also ambiguous. This paper investigates the long-run relationship between health expenditures and labor productivity by utilizing a panel data covering the period between 2000 and 2015 and 35 OECD countries. Results of the study displays that there is a positive and statistically significant long-run association between health expenditures and labor productivity. Findings indicate that an increase in per capita health expenditure leads to a rise in labor productivity in terms of GDP per person employed. Results of the study also suggest that there is a mutual (bi-directional) causality relationship between health expenditures and labor productivity indicators.

Abstract (sommario):
Road construction in Pakistan is booming because of China’s One Belt One Road program. Pakistan is in a developing stage and facing a lot of challenges in construction projects, primarily in labour productivity. This research focuses on the factors affecting labour productivity in road construction projects of Pakistan. A questionnaire was developed to observe the impact of critical factors on labour productivity. Based on the gathered responses, the factors were ranked using the Relative Importance Index (RII). The analysis shows that out of thirty (30) factors, the most important five (5) factors that affect labour productivity on road construction are unskilled workforce, payment delays to labour, tools and equipment shortages, poor communication of supervisor with labours and financial difficulties of owner/contractor. By focusing on these critical issues’ betterment can be made in labour productivity which will directly enhance the projects’ performance.

Abstract (sommario):
The main aim of the work was to present the changes observed in the labour productivity in EU agriculture in years 2005-2016. The author proposed also the methodical decomposition of the labor productivity ratio in agriculture. Seven factors (ratios) have been taken into account in three models of labor productivity decomposition. These factors are: inputs productivity, land productivity, value added index, production taxation, production subsidies, equipment employed in agricultural land and the level of agricultural production intensity. The use of the deterministic method allowed to analyse the changes in labour productivity from the perspectives both in the EU agriculture (EU-28) and in the Polish agriculture. Performed studies seems to prove that in the years 2005-2016 the labor productivity measured by gross value added increased in case of EU-28 by average 2.13% and in the case of EU-15 only by 0.98%. At the same time, higher increase was observed in the case of EU-13 which equal to 3.45%. It may suggest that can be observe the ongoing process of the labor productivity convergence in EU agriculture. In the light of deterministic analysis, it was possible to specify the main factors contributing to the increase in labor productivity in agriculture in the EU-28 and in Poland, which are the increase in production intensity and the increase in agricultural land/labour relation. However, it should be also noted that the favorable direction of changes in labour productivity was weakened by the decreasing efficiency of production measured by the inputs productivity and the share of value added in revenues.

Abstract (sommario):
The contribution of labour is vital in a labour-intensive production organization. The continuous growth of the farm is ensured by the labours participation. In recent years, the tea industry is facing an unexpected situation of labour supply which can be considered the problem due to changing dynamics. The emergence of small tea growers in place of an earlier form of large estates in the tea growing district of Assam seems to be prominent and a significant supplier of green leaves. It is observed that, it is over 23000 registered small tea growers under Tea Board of Indiathose who are by definition hasa plantation area of 10.12 ha or below and the question of labour productivity to the total tea productivity is of paramount importance. The study was conducted as descriptive by nature and a questionnaire was administered to extract the labour productivity in two ways such as man day plucking of labour and input –output ratio of labour to assess its contribution. Data collected was analysed to find out the correlation between labour productivity to the total productivity and whether the variances in between total productivity and labour productivity is similar. The study has concluded that although variations in the labour productivity and total productivity of tea are equal, they maintain a low correlation. In this regard, recommendations can be put forward like better skill formation of labour along with more stimulating benefits to them to boost motivation for ensuring growth and performance for small tea growers in Golaghat district of Assam.

Abstract (sommario):
Majority of the share investment in the enterprises are initiated by the Government of Nepal. This study has considered productivity model developed the Sumanth (1984). Accordingly, some of the variables are identified for the productivity improvement like: productivity planning, improvement, measurement, and evaluation. The basic objective of the study is to assess the labour productivity of the manufacturing public enterprises in Nepal. This study reveals that the concept of productivity and its benefits to investors, employees, government, society and the enterprises themselves, were not properly understood and realized by the employees of the enterprises. The managers were also doubtful about the effectiveness of the existing personnel policies. The major problems associated with productivity improvement were found to be underutilization of production capacity and poor maintenance of machines. Similarly socio-cultural contexts like favoritism, nepotism, and corruption had seriously influenced the appraisal practices, and the productivity status. The productivity was also suffered because of the failure of the management to adjust to the changes taking place within the workforce. In managing human resources, leadership styles and motivational systems had not kept abreast of these changes.

Abstract (sommario):
Construction industry faces lots of challenges with regard to problems associated with productivity. Productivity is one of the most important factors affecting the overall performance of any organization, whether large or small and the problems are usually associated with performance of Labour. The performance of labour is affected by many factors and is usually linked to the performance of time, cost, and quality. Productivity is still a fascinating topic and a hot topic in the construction industry, promising cost savings and resource efficiency. In both developed and developing countries, productivity is one of the most critical challenges. The developed world understands the relevance of economic development and social welfare. Developing countries that are dealing with unemployment, inflation, and resource scarcity try to make the best use of their resources in order to promote economic growth and better the lives of their population. The purpose of this thesis is to identify elements that affect labour productivity as well as to investigate reasons, such as labour problems on the job site and their impact on building projects.

Abstract (sommario):
The recent trends in female labour force participation have garnered considerable attention among policymakers and research scholars in India, primarily because of the sudden and significant falls in female labour force participation rates in the presence of many enabling factors, particularly the growth of the GDP. Studies on the falling rates have examined many underlying ‘pull and push’ factors but few of them have analysed the role of productivity. This study attempts to have a preliminary understanding of the role of labour productivity on the female labour force participation in India using cross-section and panel data. The study found a link between labour productivity and wages which could impact female labour force participation. The paper found that the FLFPR function for the rural and urban sectors is markedly different from each other and hence, should be studied separately.

Abstract: In this study, the regulation of labours working in the construction sector of Pakistan was studied. As there is no system to distinguish skill and unskill labour force in the construction industry of Pakistan, which leads to unforeseen events during the project works. This may lead to delay of the project and also compromises the safety of the workers. To overcome the problem, the impact of a protocol, labour certification, which is being practiced in other countries is studied. To determine the effect of labour certification on labour productivity, a questionnaire was prepared and sent to different stakeholders of AEC. The results showed that the majority of respondents were in favour of labour certification and agreed that it will have a significant impact on labour productivity. Moreover, respondents also pointed that it will create problems for labour and the construction industry if the process of certification is not smooth. Abstract (sommario):
Sericultural farming is important to the local economy of Mahasarakham province of Thailand. This study measured the labour productivity of sericultural farmers by calculating the total labour value added per hour worked, given that the total labour value added refers to the difference between the total revenue and the total cost, not including the labour cost. This mixed-method research collected empirical data from 160 households in five districts of Mahasarakham during the 2020 production cycle using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Silk mulberry sales minus all costs (except labour) were used to represent the added value of labour. The overall total revenue data and total costs in each production cycle were used in this study. The study's results revealed that farmers' total labour productivity equated to 1.68 USD per hour per production cycle, 9.69 USD per day and 1,559.61 USD per year, calculated using the added value of labour divided by total hours worked. When comparing by district, Na Dun had the highest productivity of labour at 1.90 USD per hour, followed by Na Chueak (1.82 USD per hour), Wapi Pathum (1.70 USD per hour), Phayakkhaphum Phisai (1.50 USD per hour) and Yang Sisurat tires (1.46 USD per hour), respectively. The research results showed that the labour productivity of the studied sericultural farmers, 1.68 USD per hour, was higher than the minimum wage of Mahasarakham labours in 2022, which was 1.26 USD per hour. Despite the higher productivity cost, various challenges faced by the farmers were also identified, including a shortage of labour, lack of a market to support production, insufficient promotion and support from government agencies, a low price for silk products, damage to barns repair costs, lack of investment and production factors. The procedures and methods used to raise silkworms are complicated and time-consuming. Traditional farmers' barns are insufficient for raising silkworms and sick silk varieties; a suitable barn design and systematic production management are recommended, providing the research's empirical evidence confirmed to help enhance labour productivity. Based on the results and discussions, this paper recommends future studies to investigate practical guides to help increase labour productivity and tackle the challenges facing local sericultural farming to a wider extent. Abstract (sommario):
The main aim of the paper is to identify the changes in labour productivity in the agribusiness and to define its relationship to labour productivity in the entire national economy of the EU countries. Labour productivity is expressed as gross value added per employee in agribusiness as a whole and its three zones (I – industries manufacturing means of production and services for agriculture and the food industry, II – agriculture, III – food industry). The analysis concerns selected years from 1995 to 2010, which are the most recent available data. The gross value added in agribusiness were calculated by means of the formula suggested by Woś in 1979. As it results from the analyses, despite favorable changes, the productivity of labour in the agribusiness in the new EU Member States remains at a lower level than in most of the EU-15 countries. The main reason behind the differences in the levels of agribusiness labour productivity is a surplus of the labor force in the agriculture in the most EU-12 countries. Moreover, the EU-15 countries especially from Western and Northern Europe demonstrate smaller differences between the labour productivity in agribusiness and other sectors of the national economy.

Abstract (sommario):
The article aims at presenting the fundamental relationship between remuneration and productivity of labor factor. This relationship is explored analytically and empirically. It is investigated at the level of the agricultural sector, derived from the microeconomic level, i.e. an agricultural producer. Based on an optimal solution of the income maximisation problem, we derive the determinants of remuneration of the labour factor, i.e. income in agriculture. We explore analytically the improvement of labour productivity. We also take into consideration the issue of the importance of subsidies which can be refered to as the second potential source of agricultural producer's income. The empirical evidence is based on the FADN (Farm Accountancy Data Network) data for 2004-2012 for Member States that joined the European Union in 2004. We examine the statistical relationship between the indicators of developments in the productivity of the labour factor, income and the level of subsidies in selected countries.Keywords: objective function of an agricultural producer, productivity of the labour factor, remuneration of the labour factor;

Abstract (sommario):
The article from the perspective of interregional comparative analysis methodology substantiates the system of labor productivity factors and presents the results of statistical modeling of labor productivity in the regions of Russia in 2020.The shortcomings of the existing measures of labor productivity in international and domestic practice are noted, namely, the ambiguity and inconsistency of the assessment results. The authors propose a technique for constructing an integral index of regional labor productivity and substantiate a four-factor econometric model of the dependence of the integral index of regional labor productivity, which allowed for an improved system of labour productivity factors to be applied in regional economic analysis. Estimates are given of the relative impact of both traditional and new factors of regional labor productivity, which are the increasing incidence rate and the growing share of unprofitable enterprises (organizations), investments and industrial output per capita in the regions of Russia in 2020.The need to monitor regional labor productivity factors annually to help bring forward problems in the regions is justified. The reasons that led to the insufficient level of labour productivity (compared to Russian average) were identified. According to the authors (following the results of socio-economic development in 2020), they should include low growth rates of investment and production volumes, as well as an increase in the incidence and in the share of unprofitable enterprises and organizations.

Abstract (sommario):
The construction industry is considered to be one of the rapidly growing industries of India. So, to fulfil such a vast and constantly increasing construction demand the labour productivity is the key factor to maintain client satisfaction, attract investment, and contribute by helping the nation with its economic growth. Aluminium system formwork is one economical and technical approach to effectively maintain productivity of labours on site. Various research studies have been conducted to compare different types of formwork system and the advantages and disadvantages of each type of formwork system are examined in terms of cost, duration, quality etc. There is no standard procedure to put a number on the efficiency of the site labour, using aluminium formwork system in the industry. So, the primary objective of this study is to find the practical labour productivity in aluminium formwork system and the factors affecting the labour productivity. For this, research is performed on Purva Silversands project, Pune, Maharashtra (Residential Project). Labour productivity and its variations could generate a greater impact on the project economy and project duration. Low productivity can decrease profitability and increases construction cost. This case study shows that the actual productivity observed is less than the target productivity in some of the months, the reasons for variation in target and actual productivity is examined and the factors that hamper the productivity mostly are natural (rain), improper management and any breakdown of machinery. Whereas, the maximum productivity achieved in a month is 10.36 sqm per man per day.

Abstract (sommario):
The article is devoted to the problem of analyzing the methodological foundations for assessing the dynamics of labour productivity in the regions of Russia in the context of the digital transformation of the economy. The identification of differences in the level of labour productivity and employment and the influencing factors is a necessary requirement for building a competent regional socio-economic policy in the new institutional conditions. Calculations of labour productivity are carried out by various international and national organizations that use a variety of methods for measuring this indicator. The presence of a sufficiently large number of methods for measuring productivity leads to the fact that each one gives its own result and different dynamics. The authors set the task to consider the existing methodological approaches to calculating labor productivity and to analyze how much they affect the results. The authors statistically tested the hypothesis of heterogeneity of ratings obtained by various methods. The calculations were made on the basis of data from Rosstat for the regions of Russia for the period from 2013 to 2018. To study the uniformity of the series, various statistical criteria were used. The analysis showed that in all years of the period under review the samples are heterogeneous. Consequently, the development of managerial decisions substantially depends on the methodology used to calculate the labour productivity index. The authors concluded that it is necessary to build an index of labour productivity based on regression dependencies on indicators reflecting the main factors affecting regional labor productivity. It helps to get a more effective assessment of regional differences in its level and dynamics. This index should be built for each region taking into account its industry specifics and the level of development of new digital technologies.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper discusses the role played by the recent Brazilian Labour Reform (BLR) in conditioning the level and the rate of growth of employment, value added and productivity in the Brazilian economy from 2017. Our main findings are that after BLR, the share of informal employment, value added and productivity increased, as well as those shares in low productivity sectors. Furthermore, we show that the employment created in low-productivity sectors (formal and informal) were moved to high-productivity sectors in the years after the implementation of the 2017 labour reform, the aggregate levels of value added and productivity would have been much higher than otherwise.

Abstract (sommario):
In this era, technological advances benefit many aspects of work, including Human Resources Management (HRM). Implementing E-HRM helps organizations improve efficiency, reduce paper waste, and support sustainability principles. The study aims to examine the impact of E-HRM on Sustainability Performance, mediated by Labour Productivity and moderated by Organizational Agility. The research was conducted on MSMEs in Batam City, using a purposive sampling technique to obtain primary data from 200 respondents by distributing G-From questionnaires. The quantitative analysis method used is SmartPLS software. The research results of the hypothesis that shows a direct and significant positive effect on Sustainability Performance is Labor Productivity. Meanwhile, E-HRM implementation has a positive, not significant, effect on Sustainability Performance but has a positive, significant impact on Labour Productivity. The proven indirect research hypothesis is the relationship between E-HRM implementation and Sustainability Performance mediated by Labor Productivity. The theory that E-HRM implementation significantly positively affects Labour Productivity through moderation of organizational agility has yet to be proven. This research is expected to cover a broader range of research and can be used as a reference for other studies.

Abstract (sommario):
In this paper we make an attempt of assessing the wage productivity gap in Indian manufacturing at a disaggregated level in terms of classifying different 3-digit industry groups in some categories based upon wage elasticity of labour productivity. We have classified industry groups (3-digit NIC) for high, medium, and low category. We have suggested that we find some differences in the nature of the trend in labour share as far high, medium, and low-growth industries are concerned. The following figures suggest that the category of industries with Low AAGRi (based on elasticity) has comparatively higher labour share than the category of industries with Medium AAGRi (based on elasticity) till 1999-2000 and after 2000 the situations have been completely reversed. We can opine that industrial growth rates did not essentially increase labour share in manufacturing industries. The groups have been formulated based on wage elasticity of labour productivity. It is important to note that the mentioned classified range here is for measuring High, Medium and Low category. There is absence of industry with High AAGRi based on wage elasticity of labour productivity. Therefore, we have only two categories of industry groups. Category 1 represents medium industry groups based on wage elasticity of labour productivity and category 2 represents low industry group based on wage elasticity of labour productivity. We have found that the following figures exhibit the overall downward trend in labour share in all these categories for the whole period under consideration.

Abstract (sommario):
The Portuguese labour force is ageing rapidly, corresponding to an increase in the share of older cohorts in the workforce, and there are no prospects that this situation will slow down. This study carries out an empirical analysis of the impact of workforce ageing on labour productivity in the Portuguese economy considering data for the period 1971-2017. We investigate the main channels through which these demographic changes affect labour productivity, the accumulation of factors of production, physical or human capital, and total factor productivity (TFP), based on a Cobb-Douglas production function. The results from the estimation of our VAR model defined according to the aggregate production function that includes the capital-output ratio, educational attainment, TFP and an indicator of workforce ageing, and the corresponding impulse-response functions analysis do not allow us to identify any impact of the growth rate in the proportion of older workers on the growth rate of labour productivity. For the time being it thus seems that workforce ageing has not posed a serious threat to the Portuguese economy, but this situation could rapidly change in the near future given the dismal demographic forecasts that project that the Portuguese population will decrease from 10.5 millions of people in 2012 to 8.6 millions in 2060 (INE 2014).

The service industries—that is, all activities apart from agriculture and the production and construction industries—account for more than half of gross domestic product and employ about two thirds of the civilian labour force. The size of the employed labour force alone makes a brief analysis of productivity worthwhile; additional interest stems from the importance of the contribution of the internationally tradeable services to the balance of payments.

Abstract (sommario):
The paper examines whether labour productivity converges or diverges. This research estimates the convergence of labour productivity, and the effects of infrastructure to support this convergence, based on a set panel data comprising 18 districts in Gunungkidul Regency from 2009 to 2016. The secondary data published by the Statistics of DIY is used in this study. The infrastructure includes educational facilities, health facilities and length of the road. A fixed-effect model presents that there is a process of convergence of labour productivity among districts in Gunungkidul Regency. Moreover, the result shows that infrastructure has a positive effect on labour productivity. This research finds that labour productivity, in the lagging districts, tends to grow faster than advanced ones. Thus, the labour productivity gap between districts will disappear. A better educational and health facilities supports the speed of the knowledge transfer process to generate productive labour. For supporting the convergence of labour productivity, the local government has to improve infrastructure especially in lagging districts. Likewise, improvements in road facilities solve the problem of high-cost distribution to increase labour productivity.

Abstract (sommario):
The problem of low labour productivity is a «chronic» problem for Russia. At the same time, some Rus-sian enterprises increase productivity successfully implementimg to the «rational model of labor rela-tions» implementation. The authors assume that the problem of increasing labour productivity is transdis-ciplinary, and psychology of personality and social psychology should play a significant role in finding the solution to this problem. The working hypothesis of this research is that there are statistically signifi-cant differences in personality traits and professional motivation that determine the specific style of activ-ity of employees of enterprises with different labour productivity. In order to test this hypothesis the au-thors did a study in the summer–autumn of 2018 at two industrial enterprises of the Perm Krai. The study has showed that there are practically no significant differences between the personality traits of the em-ployees who work at the enterprises, and the levels of labour productivity. The only exception is the fac-tor «Openness to Experience» that makes a distinction between the employees of enterprises which might be attributed to specificity of the production processes at these two plants and also to specificity of the sample. It is possible that absence of significant differences between the personality traits of the employ-ees of these enterprises evidences that labour productivity is mainly determined by specific social ties in professional groups. So, the first version of the working hypothesis is not confirmed. It is possible that as-signment of roles and responsibilities, as well as the styles of communication and administration are the predictors of labour productivity.

Abstract (sommario):
There are various methods that can be employed to measure construction labour productivity. However, it is difficult to measure accurately labour productivity. Work sampling is a relatively easy to use methode for measuring productivity. The main objective of this research is to analyze labour productivity on the building project of The Fame Citywalk located on Jalan Rajawali Palembang utilizing work sampling method. The productivity measure obtained from the analysis is labour utilization rate (LUR) and labour daily coefficient productivity of bore file contruction. Besides, this research is intended to investigate factors influencing the LUR in project by using questionnaire. The work sampling analysis shows that ini overall LUR of project of bore file construction was 73.45%. Besides LUR, high productivity is taken from every percent per hour of every work from bore file construction is 6.404 org/m’/hour. The highest labour productivity for all works tookplace on Tuesday. From the result of t-test on questionnare, factors taken influence significantly to labour productivity that is on the level of significant 95% is control and supervision, teamwork, and leadership. Mean while factors of material and equipment, rework, information, present, shedule, motivation, moral and behavior, skill and labour substitute do not influence significantly on labour productivity.

Abstract (sommario):
The present paper deals with an international comparison of labour productivity, as well as with total factor productivity comparison made by different international organisations, e.g. the OECD. These kinds of comparisons do not contain data regarding transition countries in the 20th century. Long-term comparisons yield an analysis of the several factors influencing productivity trends, among which human factors have an increasing role. The second part of the paper gives several kinds of information about the tendencies of the Hungarian labour productivity on a national and branch level. The most important development can be seen in the engineering industry. A short part of the paper illustrates the development of total factor productivity in Hungary between 1992 and 1997.

This paper examines the effect of real wages on labour productivity for the case of tourist sector. Since, tourist sector is widely a service-oriented sector based on personal employment characteristics, we propose a theoretical model of Cobb – Douglas productivity equation which accounts only for labor. The paper aims at calculating the productivity-income elasticity of tourist sector based on the aforementioned model.

Abstract (sommario):
The Labor Code of the Russian Federation repeatedly mentions the terms «labor productivity» and «qualification,» while the definition of the first category by the legislator is not given, and the definition of the qualification of the employee appeared in the code relatively recently and the norms in which these terms are indicated are focused throughout the code, which complicates the establishment of for which relations regulated by labor law, for which rights of workers these categories are legally significant. On the basis of the analysis of the rules of the labour legislation in force, this article concludes the relations for which these categories, both separately and collectively, have legal significance, as well as what the legal meaning of these terms for the conclusion, modification and termination of an employment contract is, in particular, for relations directly related to employment contracts.
