Abstract (sommario):
The peculiarities of the implementation of the 6G intelligent radio interface infrastructure, which will use an individual configuration for each individual subscriber application and flexible services with lower overhead costs, have been studied. A personalized infrastructure consisting of an AI-enabled intelligent physical layer, an intelligent MAC controller, and an intelligent protocol is considered, followed by a potentially novel AI-based end-to-end (E2E) device. The intelligent controller is investigated, in particular the intelligent functions at the MAC level, which may become key components of the intelligent controller in the future. The joint optimization of these components, which will provide better system performance, is considered. It was determined that instead of using a complex mathematical method of optimization, it is possible to use machine learning, which has less complexity and can adapt to network conditions. A 6G radio interface design based on a combination of model-driven and data-driven artificial intelligence is investigated and is expected to provide customized radio interface optimization from pre-configuration to self-learning. The specifics of configuring the network scheme and transmission parameters at the level of subscriber equipment and services using a personalized radio interface to maximize the individual user experience without compromising the throughput of the system as a whole are determined. Artificial intelligence is considered, which will be a built-in function of the radio interface that creates an intelligent physical layer and is responsible for MAC access control, network management optimization (such as load balancing and power saving), replacing some non-linear or non-convex algorithms in receiver modules or compensation of shortcomings in non-linear models. Built-in intelligence has been studied, which will make the 6G physical layer more advanced and efficient, facilitate the optimization of structural elements of the physical layer and procedural design, including the possible change of the receiver architecture, will help implement new detection and positioning capabilities, which, in turn, will significantly affect the design of radio interface components. The requirements for the 6G network are defined, which provide for the creation of a single network with scanning and communication functions, which must be integrated into a single structure at the stage of radio interface design. The specifics of carefully designing a communication and scanning network that will offer full scanning capabilities and more fully meet all key performance indicators in the communications industry are explored.

Abstract (sommario):
Despite intelligence research being among the most replicable bodies of empirical findings—a Rosetta stone across the social sciences—the communication of intelligence research with non-intelligence researchers and the public remains a challenge, especially given ongoing public controversies throughout the history of the field. Hunt argued that “we have a communication problem.” This article is a call for intelligence researchers to consider communication at multiple levels—communication with other intelligence researchers, communication with non-intelligence researchers, and communication with the public, defined here as policymakers, practitioners, students, and general readers. It discusses ongoing tensions between academic freedom and social responsibility and provides suggestions for thinking about communication and effective research translation and implementation of intelligence research from the frameworks of science and policy research communication. It concludes with some recommendations for effective communication and stresses the importance of incentivizing more scholars to responsibly seek to educate and engage with multiple publics about the science of intelligence.

Abstract (sommario):
Since no empirical research regarding cultural intelligence has yet been done in Croatia, the objective of this paper is to determine the basic metric characteristics of the Cultural Intelligence Scale – CQS by Van Dyne et al. (2008), as well as the applicability in research on a sample of N=144 subjects, namely, students attending schools of foreign languages from three different countries: Croatia, Ireland and Serbia. The reliability of the scale was verified using the Cronbach alpha coefficient, while the validity was assessed by factor analysis. The results of the study show the cultural intelligence of the subjects through four factor dimensions, like in the original instrument, but with different factor loadings. Thus, the Cultural Intelligence Scale is a reliable and valid instrument for measuring cultural intelligence with the possibility of practical application on different subject samples.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper seeks to improve mobile communications performance by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. The study is centered on device-to-device (D2D) communication, which has emerged as a significant aspect in the 5th generation of mobile networks (5G) and is expected to be extended to the 6th generation (6G). Based on the fuzzy system, the proposed solution tackles the critical issue of energy harvesting in D2D communication. The solution presents a support system that selects the best relay for the transmitter-receiver communication to minimize energy consumption and maximize the network’s lifetime. Minimizing energy consumption optimizes the network’s lifetime, thus providing a reliable and efficient communication system. The approach taken in this study offers a novel perspective in addressing the energy harvesting challenge in D2D communication. It is expected to have a significant impact on the performance of mobile communications.

--- Taxonomy, use cases, strengths and challenges of chatbots Chatbots appeared in critical mass in the beginning of the 2010’s as a specific form of business intelligence. Interactive technology, often combined with artificial intelligence, has since then found a way onto online chat services. Chatbots are now not only part of virtual assistants, but are also used by several organizations on websites, applications, and instant messaging platforms. Their purpose is to promote products, ideas, services and topics considered to be important. In their study, the authors undertake to demonstrate the taxonomy of chatbots, tree structured and generative models, open and closed systems, briefly touching on the issue of artificial and emotional intelligence as well. The study also aims to present how the use of chatbots will be more accurate and even more intuitive with the further development of technology. This technology could be artificial intelligence, machine learning or natural language understanding. In addition to some promising areas of use, the authors also draw attention to the challenges and disadvantages of technology. Keywords: chatbots, artificial intelligence, crowdsourcing, e-government, Turing-test

Abstract (sommario):
Artificial intelligence has become a major element in corporates' strategic plans, and its technologies have been linked to strategic communication techniques for public relations and digital marketing communications. The current study aimed to monitor Governance of Sustainable Artificial Intelligence (AI)in Strategic Communication (SC) and Digital Marketing (DM). The research initially involved secondary research where qualitative data was collected to design research questions related to the governance of sustainable AI as a frame for strategic communication and digital marketing. The mixed method of data collection adapted using a textual discourse analysis form to collect data and determine organizational governance priorities for responsible artificial intelligence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The results indicated the responsible use and sustainability of artificial intelligence and its impact on the organization's strategic communication and emphasize the corporates efforts to protect users from electronic fraud based on (AI)techniques to detect hacks, frauds, and misleading messages. The findings recommended reliance on robots to manage social media platforms, crisis communication, public relations and digital advertising, and detecting machine production of fake content.

Abstract (sommario):
Artificial intelligence (AI) and people’s interactions with it—through virtual agents, socialbots, and language-generation software—do not fit neatly into paradigms of communication theory that have long focused on human–human communication. To address this disconnect between communication theory and emerging technology, this article provides a starting point for articulating the differences between communicative AI and previous technologies and introduces a theoretical basis for navigating these conditions in the form of scholarship within human–machine communication (HMC). Drawing on an HMC framework, we outline a research agenda built around three key aspects of communicative AI technologies: (1) the functional dimensions through which people make sense of these devices and applications as communicators, (2) the relational dynamics through which people associate with these technologies and, in turn, relate to themselves and others, and (3) the metaphysical implications called up by blurring ontological boundaries surrounding what constitutes human, machine, and communication.

Abstract (sommario):
The purpose of this article is to identify the risks, threats, and challenges associated with possible social changes in the processes of digitalization of society and transformations of traditional communication practices, which is associated with the emergence of new digital subjects of mass public communication that form the pseudo structure of digital interaction of people. The primary tasks of the work were to identify the potential of artificial intelligence technologies and neural networks in the field of social and political communications, as well as to analyze the features of “smart” communications in terms of their subjectness. As a methodological optics, the work used the method of discourse analysis of scientific research devoted to the implementation and application of artificial intelligence technologies and self-learning neural networks in the processes of social and political digitalization, as well as the method of critical analysis of current communication practices in the socio-political sphere. At the same time, when analyzing the current digitalization practices, the case study method was used. The authors substantiate the thesis that introducing technological solutions based on artificial intelligence algorithms and self-learning neural networks into contemporary processes of socio-political communication creates the potential for a wide range of challenges, threats, and risks, the key of which is the problem of identifying the actual subjects of digital communication acts. The article also discusses the problem of increasing the manipulative potential of “smart” communications, for which the authors used the concepts of cyber simulacrum and information capsule developed by them. The paper shows that artificial intelligence and self-learning neural network algorithms, being increasingly widely introduced into the current practice of contemporary digital communications, form a high potential for information and communication impact on the mass consciousness from technological solutions that no longer require control by operators – humans. As a result, conditions arise to form a hybrid socio-technical reality – a communication reality of a new type with mixed subjectness. The paper also concludes that in the current practices of social interactions in the digital space, a person faces a new phenomenon – interfaceization, within which self-communication stimulates the universalization and standardization of digital behavior, creating, disseminating, strengthening, and imposing special digital rituals. In the article, the authors suggest that digital rituals blur the line between the activity of digital avatars based on artificial intelligence and the activity of actual people, resulting in the potential for a person to lose his own subjectness in the digital communications space.
