Abstract (sommario):
Abstract Currently there are no methods available to identifiy leukemogenic fusion proteins in vivo. All available methods, like Southern blotting, PCR, FISH or Western blotting, require the destruction of the cells that are assayed. A method for the in vivo detection of leukemogenic fusion proteins would be highly desirable because it would open up new approaches to study leukemia and might lead to novel treatment strategies. We have developed a strategy for the in vivo detection of the BCR/ABL fusion protein. BCR/ABL is found in virtually all cases chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and a large proportion of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Animal model have shown that the BCR/ABL fusion protein is required for the induction and maintenance of leukemia. The fact that BCR/ABL fusion protein is crucial for the development of leukemia makes this fusion protein an attractive target for therapy development. Our BCR/ABL detection strategy is based on protein-protein interactions and a proof of principle for the strategy was implemented in the yeast system. Two detection proteins are expressed in the cells: 1) protein A, a Gal4-DNA binding domain/BCR interacting protein fusion protein and 2) protein B, a Gal4-activation domain/ABL interacting protein fusion protein. Only when BCR/ABL is present in the cell, do protein A, protein B, and BCR/ABL form a trimeric complex which activates the transcription of reporter genes under the control of Gal4-upstream activating sequence (UAS). Yeast cells (strain CG1945) transformed with a protein A expressing plasmid (pGBT9-BCR-interactor), a protein B expressing plasmid (pGAD424-ABL1-interactor), and a BCR/ABL expressing plasmid (pES1-BCR/ABL) showed expression of the reporter genes HIS3 and LACZ. The expression of the HIS3 reporter gene was assayed by growth of the yeast cells on medium lacking histidine. The expression of the LACZ gene was verified by a beta-galactosidase filter assay. Yeast cells that were transformed with the pES1 plasmid without the BCR-ABL coding region did not show activation of the reporter genes. Several other negative controls were also negative. Thus the method was able to clearly distinguish between BCR/ABL expressing cells and cells did not express BCR/ABL. We are presently adapting this system for use in mammalian cells. The flexibility of our strategy allows us to freely choose the reporter or effector genes. Therapeutically more useful effector genes are suicide genes, which encode pro-drug converting enzymes (e.g. HSV thymidine kinase), or markers that can easily be assayed (e.g. green fluorescent protein).

Abstract (sommario):
ENTERORapid 24 kit (PLIVA-Lachema, Czech Republic) was used for the identification of 321 strains isolated from the respiratory tract of different animal species in the CzechRepublic and Ethiopia. A total of 207 ( 64.5%) strains were identified at the species level within 4 to 8 hours of incubation. In the same way, 39 (12.1%) strains were successfully classified at the genus level. The remaining strains (23.4%) were not identified nor classified to the family Pasteurellaceae. On the other hand, the accuracy of the ENTERORapid 24 kit for the identification of P. multocida and M. haemoyltica was observed using 9 reference strains and the identification results were compaired with the results of the RapiD 20E kit (bioMérieux, France), which required an overall examination time of 4 hours. According to our observation, the ENTERO Rapid 24 kit is the fastest system forthe identification of P. multocida and M. haemolytica strains within 4 to 8 hours with a correct identification rate at thespecies level, with and without additional tests. For these reasons, we propose its modification for rapid identificaton of P. multocida, M. haemolytica and related bacterial species from the family Pasteurellaceae isolated from different animal species.

Abstract (sommario):
Batu Bara Regency is a region with abundant natural resources, one of which is the cultivation of grouper fish. Grouper is a member of the Serranidae family of coral reef fish. Many groupers are raised in ponds, which makes them susceptible to disease due to environmental and dietary factors that are not adapted to grouper fish, which is a native species. Parasites are one of the grouper-infecting diseases that, if left untreated, can result in mass mortality and harm farmers. The aim of this study was to identify parasites in ponds in Mesjid Lama Village, Talawi District, so that it would be easier to determine the type of parasite, its level of attack, and subsequent efforts to eradicate it. This research employs a sampling technique, specifically a random sampling of orange-spotted grouper. The results of the performed analysis include analyses of both ectoparasites and endoparasites. Several types of ectoparasites were identified, including Cryptocaryon irritans, Pseudorhabdosynochus sp, Benedenia epinepheli, and Caligus sp, while Prosorynchus sp was identified as the endoparasite. The most prevalent parasite found in the fish is Cryptocaryon irritans. Keywords: EndoparasiteParasitesGrouper

Abstract (sommario):
Traceability in the coffee supply chain is crucial for ensuring transparency and authenticity. It helps safeguard the interests of both producers and consumers by minimizing the risk of fraudulent practices and ensuring fair trade. Different geographical origins can lead to variances in coffee taste, quality of product and economic value. Just because controlling the authenticity of the geographical origin of coffee beans is of great importance for producers and consumers worldwide. This study determined parameters (caffeine, chlorogenic acids, total antioxidant capacity (TAC), total polyphenols content (TPC) volatile compounds, pH, water activity aw and dry matter) based on which was testing classification of geographical origin of coffee beans. For this research, six samples of 100% Coffea arabica medium roasting coffee beans, from the two major growing country of America and Africa were studied. As part of the research, variability in chemical composition based on geographical origin was confirmed. For America samples were significant parameters TAC, 4.5-dicaffeoylquinic acid, 3.5-dicaffeoylquinic acid, caffeine and chlorogenic acids. Second group was sample from Africa. For these samples was determine parameter like TPC, cryptochlorogenic acid, neochlorogenic acid and pH. Volatile substances, caffeine, pH, chlorogenic acids were considered the most important parameters that can help to identify the geographical origin.

Abstract (sommario):
BackgroundFamilial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH) is a greatly underdiagnosed and treatable genetic lipid disorder which significantly increases risk of premature cardiovascular disease. The prevalence of monogenic FH is thought to be 1 in 250–350. The NHS Long Term Plan aims to increase FH detection to at least 25% over 5 years in collaboration with primary care, supported by the NHS genomics programme.AimThis systematic review evaluates systematic screening methods for FH in adults aged ≥18 years in primary care.MethodSeven databases [Cochrane, PubMed, Ovid, CINAHL, ProQuest, Web of Science, Scopus], four clinical trial registries [ISRCTN, ANZCTR, Clinicaltrials.gov, WHO-ICTRP] and relevant grey literature [OpenGrey] from March 2020 to May 2023 were searched. Only studies including adults were eligible. Risk of bias was assessed using ROBINS-I.Results831 records were screened. No randomised, controlled studies were identified. From full-text review, five eligible non-randomised studies out of 57 (6.90%) were identified. The included studies all used automated FH case-identification from electronic medical records (EMR) and were high quality studies with a moderate risk of bias. Narrative synthesis reported outcomes which included three algorithmic studies, with a pooled detection rate, DR 14.4% (95%CI 11.67–16.62), one supervised Machine Learning [Ensemble] study, DR 15.5% (95%CI 15.47–15.53) and one study utilising a hybrid diagnostic EMR model and/or FH genotype confirmation DR 25.0% (95%CI 16.30–35.8). No adverse effects were reported in these studies.ConclusionIncorporating automated case-finding from EMR with clinical follow-up in primary care can enhance FH identification. Pathways incorporating genotyping showed the best detection rate.

Abstract (sommario):
This research addresses: (1) the salience of employees’ social (organizational, sub-organizational, group, micro-group), interpersonal, and personal identifications and their dimensions (cognitive and affective); (2) and the relationship and structure of the identifications of employees in different areas of professional activity. The study was conducted on independent samples of employees in the socio-economic sphere (241 participants), in the law enforcement agency (265), and in higher education (172). To assess the respective identification foci and dimensions, the study employed four questionnaires. The personal identification was the weakest and the micro-group identification was the strongest for both dimensions in all samples. The affective dimension prevails over the cognitive in all identifications, except for interpersonal. Social identifications were significantly positively correlated to each other in all samples whereas personal identification was significantly negatively correlated with all social identifications (on the affective dimension) in two samples. The results expand our understanding of the identifications of employees in organizations.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to reveal difficulties associated with identifying child victims of the 2004 South-East Asia Tsunami at the Thai Tsunami Victim Identification (TTVI) operation in Phuket and explores two strategies that increased child identifications. Design/methodology/approach Data allowing comparison of identification proportions between adult and child (defined as ⩽16 years old) victims of six nationalities and the forensic methods used to establish identification were used in this study. Findings The first 100 days of the operation revealed that the proportion of adult identifications far outweighed the proportion of child identifications. Moreover, the younger the child, the longer the identification process took (p<0.0001). Children under the age of 1 year took an average of 195 days to identify compared to 130 days for children aged 16. Identification was extended, on average, 4.3 days for each year that victims younger were than 16. Identifying large numbers of child victims requires targeted protocols. Two efforts increased child identifications for the TTVI operation: using body length to distinguish post-mortem (PM) DNA samples potentially belonging to children for targeted testing, and singling out deceased parents of missing children who were previously identified by a modality other than DNA, in order to retrieve and test their PM samples as references for kinship matching. Disaster victim identification operations with similar characteristics may benefit from implementing a strategy targeting child identifications. Originality/value The implementation of these two strategies at the TTVI helped to overcome initial complexities, namely, the lack of ante-mortem and PM material, and increased child identifications.

We systematically explored the differences between workgroup and organizational identifications. To obtain an understanding of multiple identifications on the basis of social identity, self-categorization, and social projection theories, we reviewed the literature and distinguished between workgroup and organizational identifications in 3 ways: First, the development of workgroup and organizational identifications was found to be based on self-anchoring and self-stereotyping mechanisms, respectively. Second, workgroup and organizational identifications served members’ personalized and depersonalized belongingness motives, respectively. Finally, organizational identification played a distal role in influencing job satisfaction through workgroup identification. Implications of the findings are discussed.

Abstract (sommario):
Introduction: Molecular divergence thresholds have been proposed to distinguish recently separated evolutive units, often displaying more accurate putative species assignments in taxonomic research compared to traditional morphological approaches. This makes DNA barcoding an attractive identification tool for a variety of marine invertebrates, especially for cryptic species complexes. Although GenBank and the Barcode of Life Data System (BOLD) are the major sequence repositories worldwide, very few have tested their performance in the identification of echinoderm sequences. Objective: We use COI echinoderm sequences from local samples and the molecular identification platforms from GenBank and BOLD, in order to test their accuracy and reliability in the DNA barcoding identification for Central American shallow water echinoderms, at genus and species level. Methods: We conducted sampling, tissue extraction, COI amplification, sequencing, and taxonomic identification for 475 specimens. The 348 obtained sequences were individually enquired with BLAST in GenBank as well as using the Identification System (IDS) in BOLD. Query sequences were classified depending on the best match result. McNemar’s chi-squared, Kruskal-Wallis’s and Mann-Whitney’s U tests were performed to prove differences between the results from both databases. Additionally, we recorded an updated list of species reported for the shallow waters of the Central American Pacific. Results: We found 324 echinoderm species reported for Central American Pacific shallow waters. Only 118 and 110 were present in GenBank and BOLD databases respectively. We proposed 325 solved morphology-based identities and 21 provisional identifications in 50 putative taxa. GenBank retrieved 348 molecular-based identifications in 58 species, including twelve provisional identifications in tree taxa. BOLD recovered 170 COI identifications in 23 species with one provisional identification. Nevertheless, 178 sequences retrieved unmatched terms (in 34 morphology-based taxa). Only 86 sequences (25 %) were retrieved as correct identifications and 128 (37 %) as identification errors in both platforms. We include 84 sequences for eleven species not represented in GenBank and 65 sequences for ten species in BOLD Echinoderm COI databases. The identification accuracy using BLAST (175 correct and 152 incorrect identifications) was greater than with IDS engine (110 correct and 218 identification errors), therefore GenBank outperforms BOLD (Kruskal-Wallis = 41.625, df = 1, p < 0.001). Conclusions: Additional echinoderm sample references are needed to improve the utility of the evaluated DNA barcoding identification tools. Identification discordances in both databases may obey specific parameters used in each search algorithm engine and the available sequences. We recommend the use of barcoding as a complementary identification source for Central American Pacific shallow water echinoderm species.

Abstract (sommario):
Previous research has found that some individuals give different answers when asked about their national, state and/or local party identifications. These response inconsistencies suggest that there is a level of government dimension to party identification. It is possible, however, that the consistency of individuals' responses to questions about their different party identifications is instead the product of measurement error. The validity of measures of mixed party identifications is investigated in this study. The results of the analysis support the conclusion that there is a level of government dimension to party identification.

<p>Isolation, Identificaton, and Charaterization of Blast Fungus Pyricularia oryzae Derived from Rejuvenation. Puji Lestari, Wawan, Tri P. Priyatno, Wening Enggarini, Reflinur, and Yadi Suryadi. Blast disease caused by Pyricularia oryzae (Po) is one of the important diseases on rice crop in Indonesia. This study was aimed at obtaining blast fungus pathogen rejuvenated from preserved seed origin, agar medium and rice leaf tissue. In addition, we identified blast isolates for long-term storage collection, and characterized isolates towards their specific locus of genes virulence. The results revealed that 22.7% isolates stored in agar media produced a typical mycelium of Po. The specificity of total genomic DNA banding pattern of isolates which were analyzed using specific primers encoding virulence genes of Cut1, Erg2, and Pwl2, showed six haplotypes consist of B-001 (1 isolate), C-011 (1 isolate), D-111 (8 isolate), F-110 (1 isolate), G-100 (3 isolate), and H-101 (2 isolate). None of haplotypes A-000 and E-010 were found among the isolates studied. In regard to its pathogenicity, the majority of Po fungal isolates had Cut1, Pwl2, and Erg2 genes. Among the total isolates of the Po fungus, the greatest proportion of genes were Pwl2 (87.5%) followed by Cut1 (75%) and Erg2 (62.4%) genes.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p>Penyakit blas yang disebabkan oleh cendawan Pyricularia oryzae (Po) merupakan salah satu penyakit penting pada pertanaman padi di Indonesia. Abstract (sommario):
Resultados: Los resultados identificaron cuatro perfiles afectivos: autorrealizado (AP alto y AN bajo), autodestructivo (AP bajo y AN alto), afectivo alto (AP y AN altos) y afectivo bajo (AP y AN bajos).

Abstract (sommario):
Background: With the creation of photo-based plant identification applications (apps), the ability to attain basic identifications of plants in the field is seemingly available to anyone who has access to a smartphone. The use of such apps as an educational tool for students and as a major identification resource for some community science projects calls into question the accuracy of the identifications they provide. We created a study based on the context of local tree species in order to offer an informed response to students asking for guidance when choosing a tool for their support in classes. Methods: This study tested 6 mobile plant identification apps on a set of 440 photographs representing the leaves and bark of 55 tree species common to the state of New Jersey (USA). Results: Of the 6 apps tested, PictureThis was the most accurate, followed by iNaturalist, with PlantSnap failing to offer consistently accurate identifications. Overall, these apps are much more accurate in identifying leaf photos as compared to bark photos, and while these apps offer accurate identifications to the genus-level, there seems to be little accuracy in successfully identifying photos to the species-level. Conclusions: While these apps cannot replace traditional field identification, they can be used with high confidence as a tool to assist inexperienced or unsure arborists, foresters, or ecologists by helping to refine the pool of possible species for further identification.

Abstract (sommario):

Abstract (sommario):
AimsPerformance of matrix-assisted laser desorption ionisation-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) was compared in a side-by side-analysis with conventional phenotypic methods currently in use in our laboratory for identification of yeasts in a routine diagnostic setting.MethodsA diverse collection of 200 clinically important yeasts (19 species, five genera) were identified by both methods using standard protocols. Discordant or unreliable identifications were resolved by sequencing of the internal transcribed spacer region of the rRNA gene.ResultsMALDI-TOF and conventional methods were in agreement for 182 isolates (91%) with correct identification to species level. Eighteen discordant results (9%) were due to rarely encountered species, hence the difficulty in their identification using traditional phenotypic methods.ConclusionsMALDI-TOF MS enabled rapid, reliable and accurate identification of clinically important yeasts in a routine diagnostic microbiology laboratory. Isolates with rare, unusual or low probability identifications should be confirmed using robust molecular methods.

Abstract (sommario):
The rates of infection withFusariummolds are increasing, and a diverse number ofFusariumspp. belonging to different species complexes can cause infection. Conventional species identification in the clinical laboratory is time-consuming and prone to errors. We therefore evaluated whether matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization–time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) is a useful alternative. The 289Fusariumstrains from the Belgian Coordinated Collections of Microorganisms (BCCM)/Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology Mycology (IHEM) culture collection with validated sequence-based identities and comprising 40 species were used in this study. An identification strategy was developed, applying a standardized MALDI-TOF MS assay and an in-house reference spectrum database. In vitroantifungal testing was performed to assess important differences in susceptibility between clinically relevant species/species complexes. We observed that no incorrect species complex identifications were made by MALDI-TOF MS, and 82.8% of the identifications were correct to the species level. This success rate was increased to 91% by lowering the cutoff for identification. Although the identification of the correct species complex member was not always guaranteed, antifungal susceptibility testing showed that discriminating betweenFusariumspecies complexes can be important for treatment but is not necessarily required between members of a species complex. With this perspective, someFusariumspecies complexes with closely related members can be considered as a whole, increasing the success rate of correct identifications to 97%. The application of our user-friendly MALDI-TOF MS identification approach resulted in a dramatic improvement in both time and accuracy compared to identification with the conventional method. A proof of principle of our MALDI-TOF MS approach in the clinical setting using recently isolatedFusariumstrains demonstrated its validity.

Abstract (sommario):
Latino Americans have to navigate involvement and identification with two cultural groups—their ethnic culture and the dominant American culture. Differences in cultural identifications have been found to correlate with political affiliation and attitudes toward acculturation. Using a sample of U.S.-born Mexican Americans, we examined several correlates of political ideology including the strength of identification with both Mexican and Anglo-American cultures, acculturation attitudes, and socioeconomic status (SES). Strength of Mexican identity, stronger integration acculturation attitudes, weaker assimilation attitudes, and lower SES were associated with holding a more liberal political ideology. Furthermore, we found that integration acculturation attitudes mediated and SES moderated the relationship between Mexican identification and political ideology. These findings suggest that political campaigns should be mindful of differences in cultural identifications and acculturation attitudes when addressing their Latino constituents.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose – This paper aims to empirically analyze the extent to which advertising reception among consumers with a migration background (German-Turks) is influenced by a person’s strength of national identifications with his/her country-of-origin (COO) and with his/her country-of-residence (COR). The focus is on Turkey-sensitive advertisements (ads) of telecommunication service suppliers in Germany because such communication measures are quite common and about three million German-Turks constitute an economically important group. Design/methodology/approach – Measures of COO and COR identification as well as of three ad reception criteria were obtained in a survey of 291 German-Turks and analyzed via moderated regression models. Findings – Strength of COO identification was a significantly positive predictor of the frequency with which participants remembered Turkey-sensitive ads for telecommunication services. Additionally, COO identification related significantly to two criteria that capture facets of attitudes toward such ads. By contrast, COR identification acted partly as a moderator which attenuated links between respondents’ COO identification and two ad reception measures. Nevertheless, German-Turks with a strong COR identification (i.e. “accultured” consumers) were still receptive to Turkey-sensitive telecommunication services ads even if their self-image was simultaneously strongly dependent on their COO. “Alienated” German-Turks who identify neither with their COO nor with their COR were least responsive to ethnic ads. Practical implications – The research indicates that marketing practitioners should not use uniform communication measures to address migrant consumers with a specific COO but segment this target group further by simultaneously considering their members’ COO and COR identifications. Originality/value – The contribution of this paper results from the simultaneous inclusion of both COO and COR identifications as factors explaining differences in reactions to communication measures among migrant consumers which share the same COO. Furthermore, the scarcity of empirical work on reactions of German-Turks to ethnomarketing is reduced.

Abstract (sommario):
Taxonomic identification of archaeofauna relies on techniques and anatomical traits that should be valid, reliable, and usable, but which are rarely tested. Identification protocols (techniques and anatomical traits), particularly those used to distinguish taxa of similar size and morphology, should be rigorously tested to ensure a solid interpretive foundation. Blind testing of a protocol for identifying stylohyoid bones of North American artiodactyls was performed by three analysts who independently employed the protocol to identify 77 anatomically complete specimens of known taxonomic identity, representing 54 individuals and 11 species. Identifications were identical in 89% of cases and in conflict in 3% of cases. The remainder involved differences in resolution; two analysts identified specimens to species, whereas the third identified specimens to more general taxonomic groups. Inter-analyst variability in identification was a result of differences in protocol application. Identifications were consistent with known taxon in 92%–96% of cases. Results indicate that the protocol is valid, reliable, and usable, and it can be applied to archaeological specimens with confidence. Testing of other identification criteria employed by zooarchaeologists is encouraged.

Abstract (sommario):
The uniqueness of dental morphology plays an important role in Forensic Odontology, especially for human identifications, in which a single tooth can provide information for dental identification. Objective: To address the importance of a permanent lower canine with two roots for dental identification considering the internal and external morphology of the canine roots. Case report: To report a forensic case in which a two-rooted permanent lower canine was found in a decomposed human body. Conclusion: Although the victim was not identified by the dental parameter, it was observed that this type of morphological variation is of little incidence in some populations, therefore constituting a valuable tool for dental human identifications.

Abstract (sommario):
A multi-year airborne field investigation of remote botanical species identification was conducted involving multiple curated botanical collections. The purpose of the study was to better constrain the observational conditions that most favor remote identification by longwave-infrared spectral imaging and assess the degree to which confidence metrics developed for remote chemical composition determination could be adapted to botanical species classification. Identification success was examined as a function of spatial resolution and viewing obliquity. A key aim was to articulate a procedure for validating inferred species identifications and evaluating the retrieval methodology’s performance for alleviating confusion between species exhibiting spectral similarity at the foliar scale. It was found that several confounding factors degrade confidence in the species identifications to levels that render the approach impractical in the general case. A number of taxa, predominantly evergreen, were nevertheless identified that are amenable to the technique and for which utility may be viable.

Abstract (sommario):
The MicroScan Rapid Neg ID3 panel (Dade Behring, Inc., West Sacramento, Calif.) is designed for the identification of gram-negative bacilli. We evaluated its ability to accurately identifyEnterobacteriaceae that are routinely encountered in a clinical laboratory and glucose nonfermenting gram-negative bacilli. Using 511 stock cultures that were maintained at −70°C and passaged three times before use, we inoculated panels according to the manufacturer's instructions and processed them in a Walk/Away instrument using version 22.01 software. The time to identification was 2 h and 30 min. All panel identifications were compared to reference identifications previously determined by conventional tube biochemicals. At the end of the initial 2.5-h incubation period, 405 (79.3%) identifications were correct. An additional 49 (9.6%) isolates were correctly identified after required additional off-line biochemical tests were performed. Thus, at 24 h, 88.8% of the 511 strains tested were correctly identified. Twenty-two (4.3%) were identified to the genus level only. Twenty-six (5.1%) strains were misidentified. Because the system is based on fluorogenics, there are no conventional tests readily available with which to compare possibly incorrect reactions. Of the 28 Salmonella strains that were tested, 5 were incorrectly reported. The 21 remaining errors were scattered among the genera tested. Testing on nine strains gave a result of “no identification” (very rare biotype). The Rapid Neg ID3 panel in this study approached 89% accuracy for the identification of gram-negative organisms encountered in the hospital laboratory.

Abstract (sommario):
AbstractA system to assist daily identification of radiotherapy patients and to prevent accidental exposures to mis-indentified patients was developed. The fingerprint-based biometric system was chosen because of its high sensitivity in identification and suitability for hospital use. In a 6-month survey, 85.7% of the daily treatment fractions were identified successfully; 5.5% of the unsuccessful identifications were overridden by the staff and the remaining 8.8% were due to poor-quality fingerprints. No false identifications occurred so that patient was identified as a different person. During the past 2.5 years and 47,000 treatment fractions, the system has been well accepted by the patients and radiation technologists and misidentified patients have not been treated since the installation.

Abstract (sommario):
The unambiguous identification of lipids is a critical component of lipidomics studies and greatly impacts the interpretation and significance of analyses as well as the ultimate biological understandings derived from measurements. The level of structural detail that is available for lipid identifications is largely determined by the analytical platform being used. Mass spectrometry (MS) coupled with liquid chromatography (LC) is the predominant combination of analytical techniques used for lipidomics studies, and these methods can provide fairly detailed lipid identification. More recently, ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) has begun to see greater adoption in lipidomics studies thanks to the additional dimension of separation that it provides and the added structural information that can support lipid identification. At present, relatively few software tools are available for IMS-MS lipidomics data analysis, which reflects the still limited adoption of IMS as well as the limited software support. This fact is even more pronounced for isomer identifications, such as the determination of double bond positions or integration with MS-based imaging. In this review, we survey the landscape of software tools that are available for the analysis of IMS-MS-based lipidomics data and we evaluate lipid identifications produced by these tools using open-access data sourced from the peer-reviewed lipidomics literature.

Abstract (sommario):
We provide a meta-analytical review examining two decades of work on the relationship between individuals’ social identifications and health in organizations (102 effect sizes, k = 58, N = 19,799). Results reveal a mean-weighted positive association between organizational identification and health ( r = .21, T = .14). Analysis identified a positive relationship for both workgroup ( r = .21) and organizational identification ( r = .21), and in studies using longitudinal/experimental ( r = .13) and cross-sectional designs ( r = .22). The relationship is stronger (a) for indicators of the presence of well-being ( r = .27) than absence of stress ( r = .18), (b) for psychological ( r = .23) than physical health ( r = .16), (c) to the extent that identification is shared among group members, and (d) as the proportion of female participants in a sample decreases. Overall, results indicate that social identifications in organizations are positively associated with health but that there is also substantial variation in effect size strength. We discuss implications for theory and practice and outline a roadmap for future research.
