Abstract (sommario):

Postmoderni gotski žanr predstavlja postmodernu inkarnaciju tradicionalnog gotskog žanra i obuhvata tradicionalne gotske elemente, premda u izvesnoj meri izmenjene i nadograđene. U biti, ovaj žanr predstavlja jedinstven spoj gotskog žanra i postmodernih odlika. U radu se razmatraju takvi unapređeni gotski elementi na primeru romana Čaka Palahnjuka Borilački klub. Svi glavni gotski elementi (poput vremena i mesta zbivanja, gotskih junaka i junakinje, dvojnika itd.) predstavljeni su u ovom romanu sa posebnim naglaskom na subjektivnosti i elementu terora, jer su oni možda dve tačke najvećeg pomaka u odnosu na tradicionalne karakteristike gotskog žanra. Osim gotske teorije i teorije postmodernizma, jos jedan teorijski okvir se doima vrlo bitnim za interpretaciju ovog romana, a to je Bodrijarova teorija hiperrealnosti. Tradicionalna gotska priča izmeštena je tako da pripada nivou realnosti koji je upečatljivo očuđen od stvarnosti koja je činjenica. Uz ovakav jedinstven spoj različitih, premda čini se srodnih, teorijskih okvira, Palahnjukov roman jeste jedan od najboljih predstavnika postmodernog gotskog žanra.

This research aims to understand the meaning of 'Gotong Royong' in GOTO's YouTube video by applying Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions. The world keeps on revolving and more technologies has appeared to make life in all aspects easier. GOTO is a newly merged tech giant of Gojek and Tokopedia as one of the most popular e-commerce in Indonesia. In order to be accepted by society, GOTO creates a creative ad with a philosophical message that not only aims to market their products but also to introduce 'Gotong Royong,' which is the culture of Indonesia. Through Philip Mayring, Qualitative Content Analysis helps us to explain the Hofstede six cultural dimensions through the mixture of visual and audio found in GOTO's. In order the emphasize the “Gotong Royong” culture, by using Philip Mayring Qualitative Content Analysis, the video was divided into parts that represent the audio and visual elements, GoTo's video tries to show a cultural message that is "Gotong Royong" which is the culture of Indonesia. This research found that GOTO implemented their 'Gotong Royong' motto and combined it with the goal of establishing GOTO, which is to increase the country's economic growth.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan segala problema yang ada dalam kehidupan masyarakat dimana dibutuhkan sikap gotong royong yang dapat menumbuhkan kebersamaan serta mempermudah dalam memecahkan suatu masalah secara efisien. Gotong royong dapat di artikan sebagai sikap ataupun kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh anggota masyarakat secara kerjasama dan tolong menolong dalam menyelesaikan masalah maupun itu dalam suatu pekerjaan dengan suka rela tanpa adanya imbalan. Sikap gotong royong ini sangat berperan dalam memperlancar pembangunan yang berguna bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kegiatan gotong royong dilakukan oleh para pemuda kampung ci berem desa cibatok II. Manfaat dari gotong royong itu sendri adalah suatu pekerjaan dapat terselesaikan dengan cepat, tanpa tersara persaudaraan yang kuat serta kebersamaan sesama warga semakin erat.. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kesadaran diri seluruh elemen masyarakat bahwa kegiatan gotog-royong merupakan tanggung jawab bersama dengan tujuan menciptakan kehidupan masyarakat yang sejahtera.

Information Systems Technology (IST) has an increasingly central role in today’s globalised information society. In this regard, it is imperative to recognise the impossibility of a technological life without ethics. As typical components for an ethics program, the authors use Codes of Ethics/Conduct/Practices (CE/CC/CP) as some professions (physicians, lawyers, etc.) have adopted them. The codes are instrumental in developing sound relations with various stakeholders to reduce the number of legal proceedings and contingencies, negotiate conflicts of interest, and ensure the fulfillment of the law. In view of this, the codes should be dynamic and not static documents, used for the advancement in easy reading, understanding, and structure. This will be instrumental for their followers to more easily consult and understand them, and find guidelines for their key ethical problems and concerns. This paper proposes the voluntary GOTOPS code of the techno ethics governance, that is, ethical problems raised by IST.

Presentamos este caso para resaltar la importancia de la identificación de los tofos gotosos en localizaciones menos clásicas, incluso en pacientes sin crisis de artritis previas, uso de terapia hipouricemiante o factores de riesgo, ya que los tofos gotosos auriculares pueden ser la primera manifestación de la gota, a pesar de que se ha considerado que su aparición ocurre en estadios más avanzados, entre 5 y 10 años del inicio de los síntomas articulares.

Filozofska misao Maxa Schelera bila je prisutna u našoj filozofiji gotovo od svojih početaka. Iako bi se moglo tvrditi kako je hrvatska recepcija Schelerove misli opsegom mala, ona je sadržajno bogata cjelovitim pregledima i bitnim problematiziranjima. Time je Schelerova filozofija na našim prostorima još od nekada prepoznata i smještena u širi filozofski kontekst. Stoga je svrha ovoga rada prikaz recepcije Schelerove misli kroz prikaz djela autora koji su se sustavno bavili Schelerovom filozofijom. Ti su autori holistički pristupili Schelerovoj misli te su pokrivena gotova sva njena razdoblja, od etike vrijednosti do antropologije i metafizike. Ostali autori, koji prikazuju pojedini aspekt Schelerove misli ili se na nju usputno pozivaju, biti će taksativno navedeni. Na taj način u središtu rasprave biti će ono bitno hrvatske interpretacije Schelera, a također se pokazati i širi odjek njegove misli.

Tulisan ini bermaksud memaparkan keanekaragaman suku, bahasa, agama dan kepercayaan di Indonesia. Adanya keanekaragaman tersebut memang di satu pihak adalah sebuah potensi yang besar untuk membangun bangsa Indonesia, tetapi di lain pihak juga ada bahaya sektarian, di mana masing-masing mau mementingkan kelompoknya sendiri dan tidak jarang terjadi pertikaian antarsuku. Dan jika itu didiamkan akan dapat memecah belah kesatuan Bangsa Indonesia. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu pengikat yang dapat mempersatukan semua suku, bahasa, agama dan kepercayaan. Salah satu budaya yang dimiliki oleh semua suku di Indonesia adalah gotong royong. Dengan gotong royong inilah kita dapat mempersatukan seluruh bangsa menuju Indonesia yang adil dan makmur. Melalui gotong royong seluruh bangsa Indonesia bekerja sama membangun negeri ini menjadi negeri yang sejahtera.

Historiarum libri quinque ab anno incarnationis DCCCC usque ad annum MXLIV by Radulphus Glaber sometimes is called a mirror on the roads of Europe around the year 1000. The author – a Burgundian Benedictine monk who spent a few years in the famous monastery of Cluny – presented a vivid description of Latin society in the first half of the 11th century. Glaber described religious enthusiasm, the pilgrimage movement, processes of social and economic transformation, the fear of Muslims, growing interest in the situation in the Holy Land, and other factors that laid the groundwork for the crusading movement. Fifty years after Glaber’s death, Pope Urban II made his famous appeal in Clermont, launching the era of the Crusades, which lasted for more than 200 years. The enthusiastic response of thousands of knights, priests and civilians suggests that European society was ready for a holy war to liberate Christ’s tomb and the Holy Land from the hands of the infidels. The concept of the Crusades must have been growing for decades before 1095. Historiarum libri quinque… is the best proof that Europeans were mentally prepared for the Crusades long before 1095.

Background and Aims: Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is an emerging problem worldwide due to an increase in the incidence of type 2 diabetes. Animal studies have indicated that metformin and pioglitazone can prevent DCM partly by normalizing insulin resistance, and partly by other, pleiotropic mechanisms. One clinical study has evidenced the insulin-senzitizing effect of the drug candidate BGP-15, along with additional animal studies that have confirmed its beneficial effects in models of diabetes, muscular dystrophy and heart failure, with the drug affecting chaperones, contractile proteins and mitochondria. Our aim was to investigate whether the inzulin-senzitizer BGP-15 exert any additive cardiovascular effects compared to metformin or pioglitazone, using Goto-Kakizaki (GotoK) rats. Methods: Rats were divided into five groups: (I) healthy control (Wistar), (II) diseased (GotoK), and GotoK rats treated with: (III) BGP-15, (IV) metformin, and (V) pioglitazone, respectively, for 12 weeks. Metabolic parameters and insulin levels were determined at the endpoint. Doppler echocardiography was carried out to estimate diabetes-associated cardiac dysfunction. Thoracotomy was performed after the vascular status of rats was evaluated using an isolated aortic ring method. Furthermore, western blot assays were carried out to determine expression or phosphorylation levels of selected proteins that take part in myocyte relaxation. Results: BGP-15 restored diastolic parameters (e′/a′, E/e′, LAP, E and A wave) and improved Tei-index compared to untreated GotoK rats. Vascular status was unaffected by BGP-15. Expression of sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA2a) and phosphodiesterase 9A (PDE9A) were unchanged by the treatments, but the phosphorylation level of vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP) and phospholamban (PLB) increased in BGP-15-treated rats, in comparison to GotoK. Conclusions: Even though the BGP-15-treatment did not interfere significantly with glucose homeostasis and vascular status, it considerably enhanced diastolic function, by affecting the SERCA/phospholamban pathway in GotoK rats. Although it requires further investigation, BGP-15 may offer a new therapeutic approach in DCM.

The project, which is located in Cipinang Besar Selatan (CBS) sub-district, has become a prototype of the CBS community's daily life. "Community" and "mutual cooperation" are the basic essences held by the local society and these essences can be clearly seen from the existing conditions in the CBS village. They work together to build positive activities in their village such as; The First Smoke-Free Village in Jakarta, "Kampung Warna Warni", "Kampung Listrik Indie". However, these activities were formed unevenly in the CBS village. This problem is tried to be resolved through a design that has been proposed. The design is about how the CBS Mutual Cooperation Community could become a Third Place that is not only a place to carry out routines and activities. It also can become an entertainment facility and education for the CBS community. As a result, the CBS community could grow forward and develop together. The program is arranged in accordance to the daily activities of the CBS community. Therefore, the CBS Mutual Cooperation Community may become a center for the village activities that has been separated from each other. The society will not only be participating in the program, but they are involved in its development, like assembling the main material in the design of Glulam Timber with a modular system, up to the management stage. As well as the other aspects, it can be said that the CBS Gotong Royong Community Forum not only answer the essence of "community" and "mutual cooperation", but also answers the challenges of the Third Place itself. Esensi dari “komunitas” dan “gotong royong” dapat secara nyata dilihat apabila melihat kondisi existing pada perkampungan CBS, dimana mereka bergotong-royong membangun kegiatan-kegiatan positif pada kampung mereka seperti; Kampung Bebas Asap Rokok Pertama di Jakarta, Kampung Warna Warni, Kampung Listrik Indie. Namun kegiatan-kegiatan positif terbentuk secara tidak merata pada perkampungan CBS. Hal itulah yang berusaha diselesaikan dalam desain yakni tentang bagaimana Wadah Komunitas Gotong Royong CBS dapat menjadi sebuah Third Place yang bukan saja hanya menjadi wadah untuk melakukan rutinitas dan aktivitas, tetapi menjadi sarana hiburan dan juga edukasi bagi masyarakat CBS, sehingga perkampungan CBS dapat tumbuh maju dan berkembang bersama-sama. Program yang diusung pun sesuai dengan aktivitas sehari-hari masyarakat CBS, sehingga Wadah Komunitas Gotong Royong CBS bukan hanya sebuah wadah, namun menjadi pusat bagi aktivitas-aktivitas perkampungan CBS yang selama ini terpisah satu dengan lainnya. Masyarakat pun bukan hanya menjadi pengguna program, namun mereka dilibatkan sejak awal pembangunan seperti halnya perakitan material utama pada desain yakni Glulam Timber dengan sistem modular, hingga dengan tahap pengelolaan. Begitu juga dengan beberapa aspek lainnya, sehingga dapat dikatakan Wadah Komunitas Gotong Royong CBS bukan saja hanya dapat menjawab esensi dari “komunitas” dan “gotong royong”, namun juga menjawab tantangan dari Third Place itu sendiri.

Manajemen Pendidikan Karakter Gotong Royong di Pesantren Ummul Quro al-Islami Leuwiliang Bogor tidak terlepas dari fungsi-fungsi Manajemen Pendidikan Karakter. Fungsi Manajemen Pendidikan Karakter mencakup perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Metode Penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Karakter Gotong Royong tidak dirumuskan dalam Perencanaan Manajemen Pendidikan Karakter Gotong Royong, akan tetapi, dalam Pelaksanaannya Karakter Gotong Royong nampak pada komponen pesantren. Standar Operational Procedure disampaikan secara lisan dan tidak ditulis untuk Majelis Pembimbing Organisasi, akan tetapi, dalam pelaksanaannya dilaksanakan dengan baik yang meliputi membimbing, mendidik, mengarahkan, dan mengayomi. Pengawasan Manajemen Pendidikan Karakter Gotong Royong menggunakan metode langsung, semi langsung dan tidak langsung. Evaluasi yang digunakan terbagi menjadi dua, evaluasi wajib dan berdasarkan kesepakatan. Therefore, there is a need to study and explore the meaning and history of Gotong Royong. Writing this article is to reveal the rich meaning of the men’s head cover or gotong for the Simalungun Batak community. The use of gotong or head cover for men and what their meaning and function for millennials today, especially those living in urban areas, have a lack of understanding. Therefore, the author created this article to describe the history of gotong, the types of gotong and what the function and meaning of gotong for the Simalungun Batak ethnicity. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive method and uses semiotic theory by Charles Sanders Pierce and data collection is done by observation, interviews and literature study. As for data analysis, it was carried out of using data reduction, translation and drawing conclusions and suggestions. There were found 4 types of gotong namely gotong salalu or gotong parhorja, gotong dihar, gotong porsa and gotong potik/gotong somba. The functions of gotong as a head cover and also as a means of identity. The meaning of using gotong is as a symbol of maturity and being able to become a good leader and be responsible for the house that he leads as well as in community life. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu sekaligus menjelaskan jenis-jenis gotong- royong masyarakat Batak Toba di desa Sigapiton Kecamatan Ajibata Kabupaten Toba, dan juga menjelaskan gotong-royong apa saja yang masih dilaksanakan maupun yang sudah di tinggalkan untuk guna melestarikan kembali gotong-royong yang pernah dilaksanakan. Penulisan skripsi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Tahapan metode tersebut, yakni: metode dasar (pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan), lokasi dan sumber data penelitian, instrumen penelitian, metode pengumpulan data, metode analisis data. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tradisi lisan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tahapan jenis-jenis gotong-royong ada tiga, yakni: tahapan gotong-royong pada siklus menanam hingga memanen,tahapan gotong-royong pada siklus kehidupan mulai lahir hingga kematian, dan tahapan gotong-royong yang dilakukan dalam berdemokrasi. Adapun yang dilakukan dalam proses gotong-royong tersebut semuanya di dasari dengan musyawarah dan kesepakatan bersama. Dari penelitian ini, penulis mendapat banyaknya gotong-royong yang dilakukan dalam kehidupan masyarakat baik di desa Sigapiton maupun di daerah-daerah lainnya.

Metode penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu guru kelas 3a, 3b, 4b, 5b, 6a, 6b. Pengumpulan data pada penelitin ini dilakukan dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa program pendidikan berbasis gotong royong masih bertahan hingga sekarang, namun ada beberapa siswa saja yang sulit dalam melakukan sikap gotong royong dan masih dikategorikan baik. Adapun strategi guru dalam menanamkan sikap karakter gotong royong seperti memberi contoh langsung kepada siswa, memberikan reward berupa pujian-pujian sehingga semangat gotong royong siswa sejalan dengan tujuan pendidikan di sekolah. Dalam penerapan sikap gotong royong guru menggunakan beberapa substansi dalam pembelajaran seperti pembelajaran PKn, IPS, Matematika, Bahasa Indonesia, SBdP.

Gotong Royong is identified as old-fashioned, only thought to be practiced in villages and traditional activities, due to the tendency for Millennials to participate in modern activities that tends to make them anti-social. However, when KOMPAS put out polling with the question, "Is there still Gotong Royong in this millennial era," as much as 63.5% of the respondents said that there are Gotong Royong activities in their neighborhood. Additionally, as many as 53.2% of respondents felt satisfied with the government's attempt to institutionalize the cultural value in several sectors. Also, more than 70% of the respondents stated that the spirit of Gotong Royong is still embedded in society. This fact implies that the spirit of Gotong Royong is still actively practiced by Indonesians living in both rural and urban areas. Gotong Royong could transcend in any future era because it is a value deeply embedded in the Indonesian people.&nbsp;

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat desa dalam mengelola sampah berbasis masyarakat. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan berupa penyuluhan dengan materi tentang model pengelolaan sampah bank sampah, prinsip dan nilai-nilai gotong royong di pedesaan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat pedesaan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan masyarakat di Desa Pringamba Kecamatan Sigaluh Kabupaten Banjarnegara memahami tentang model pengelolaan sampah bank sampah, prinsip dan nilai-nilai gotong royong di pedesaan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat pedesaan dan mampu menerapkan cara pengelolaan sampah berbasis masyarakat sehingga terciptanya lingkungan yang bersih dan nyaman. Kata kunci : Pengelolaan Sampah, Gotong Royong

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab terjadinya pergeseran budaya gotong royong pada warga di Desa Banyu Asih. Selanjutnya penelitian ini juga ingin mengetahui peran tokoh masyarakat dalam mempertahankan budaya gotong royong di Desa Banyu Asih. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data diolah melalui analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Desa Banyu Asih benar telah mengalami pergeseran nilai gotong royong yang di sebabkan oleh (1) factor kesibukan yaitu adanya sistem upah atau gaji, dan adanya rasa berat memanggil atau mengumpulakan warga untuk gotong royong (2) Tokoh masyarakat turut berperan dalam memelihara budaya gotong royong dengan membina dan menggerakan masyarakat agar tetap mempertahankan budaya gotong royong, dan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan tersebut.

The article presents the analysis and interpretation (in the form of a close reading) of Witold Gombrowicz’s short story The Premeditated Crime from his debut collection Memoirs from a Time of Immaturity , 1933 (later published under the title Bakakaj or Bacacay in the English translation). The main theoretical framework is the concept of „paranoid Gothic” by Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick, which is based on the reinterpretation of Sigmund Freud’s classic essay Psychoanalytical comments on autobiographically described paranoia . From that perspective Gombrowicz’s narrative is interpreted as a paranoid homosexual narrative, and paranoia itself as a form of love.

This study is to find out the factors that Cause the shift in the value of gotong royong under the foot of Mount Sinabung. People who live in the foot of Sinabung mountain, used to be famous for the value of gotong royong that Inherent in every day of their daily life. Both in agriculture, as well as in traditional events, karo people have close values of gotong royong, in the form of joy and in the form of sorrow. However, at the time of the eruption, there was a huge impact on karo people, especially the shift in the value of gotong royong. So, the qualitative approach is chosen in this study with documentation methods, observation techniques and interviews. The findings of this study showed that as for the factors that led to the shift in the value of gotong royong among others, the eruption of Mount Sinabung, materialistic attitudes and individualistic lack of community participation in holding closely the value of gotong royong, plus the flow of modernization or globalization. It is expected that the government and the community cooperate to realize the values of gotong royong who are experiencing youth, socializing the planting of the value of gotong royong karo community, so that the younger generation will continue to preserve the value of gotong royong Karo community.

Tujuan utama dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap salah satu surat yang ada dalam Al Qur’an, yaitu surat Al-Ashr. Artikel ini menyandingkan konsep dalam surat Al-Ashr dengan konsep gotong-royong yang merupakan budaya dasar dari bangsa Indonesia. Artikel ini memperlihatkan bahwa gotong-royong sebagai budaya dasar bangsa Indonesia memiliki aplikasi yang dapat berimplikasi positif atau negatif, sementara surat Al-Ashr selalu memiliki aplikasi yang berimplikasi positif. Beberapa simpulan adalah (1) bangsa Indonesia masih memiliki budaya gotong-royong sebagai budaya dasar, bahkan manfaat (efek positifnya) masih bisa dideteksi dan dirasakan namun tidak bisa dipungkiri tentang adanya distorsi khususnya pada aplikasi dari budaya dasar ini; (2) Distorsi pada konsep gotong-royong terjadi karena perubahan rentang waktu yang berlaku bagi konsep. Semakin panjang rentang waktu yang berlaku pada konsep maka semakin konsep gotong-royong mendekati konsep awalnya. Saran untuk memperbaiki keadaan lapangan tentang penerapan konsep gotong-royong (yang cenderung menunjukkan adanya distorsi terutama pada aplikasinya) diberikan kepada masyarakat dengan kembali kepada konsep awal dari gotong-royong yang cenderung untuk selalu memiliki implikasi positif.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi dukungan masyarakat seta implikasi terhadap kehidupan sosial bagi yang melaksanakan dan bagi masyarakat yang tidak melaksanakan horja sebagai budaya gotong royong. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, dilakukan reduksi data terhadap hasil wawancara tersebut hingga didapatkan data yang yang paling absah menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Gotong royong dalam horja berupa pemberian bantuan uang dan pemberian bantuan tenaga. Dalam gotong royong horja masyarakat mandailing di Nagari Sontang Cubadak terbagi dua golongan yaitu Horja yang melibatkan keluarga terdekat (dongan sahudon) dan Horja yang melibatkan masyarakat.

In gotong royong instituion we find social values, collective spirit, mutual collective trust, and organization aimed at common progress. Roles of gotong royong are significant in alleviating Indonesian from undeveloped economy of basic needs and foreign dominance. Gotong royong institution revitalization is necessary to involve people through deep participation in order to implement good governance. Upper aspect of gotong royong is norms. It is possible to improve social structure through gotong royong both at local and national levels. Collective, focused movement of this institution enables the government to establish self-reliance society based on social justice. Therefore it needs political will from all stakeholders both at regional and central levels. <br /><br /><br /><strong>Indonesian</strong><br />Gotong royong bukan saja merupakan kekayaan sosio-budaya, melainkan juga ”modal sosial” yang hampir secara merata dijumpai pada setiap sub-kultur masyarakat Indonesia. Dalam kelembagaan gotong royong terkandung unsur visi nilai kehidupan sosial (”ideologi”), spirit perjuangan kolektif, semangat saling menghargai (mutual collective trust), dan keorganisasian kerjasama yang kompatibel terhadap kemajuan masyarakat (bangsa). Tanpa kekuatan kelembagaan gotong royong, mustahil masyarakat Indonesia dapat melepaskan diri dari keterpurukan ekonomi kebutuhan dasar, dominasi bangsa asing, serta penjajahan politik dari bangsa lain. Revitalisasi kelembagan adat gotong royong dapat dijadikan wahana untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat secara menyeluruh (deep participation) dalam rangka mewujudkan penyelenggaraan pemerintahan yang bersih dan baik (clean and good governance). Aspek hulu dari kekuatan gotong royong adalah tata-nilai yang hidup dan berkembang pada masyarakat adat. Jika terhadap tata-nilai adat-istiadat dapat dilakukan pengembangan melalui prekayasaan sosio-politik yang terarah, maka melalui kelembagaan gotong royong dapat dibangun kompetensi SDM yang lebih baik, perubahan struktur masyarakat (ke arah yang lebih egaliter; tidak polaristik), manajemen sosial yang lebih sehat, serta kepemimpinan sosio-politik yang merepresentasikan kemajuan bersama baik dalam tingkat komunitas lokal maupun nasional. Gerakan kolektif dalam penguatan kelembagaan gotong royong secara terarah akan memudahkan bagi penyelenggaraan pemerintahan dalam rangka mewujudkan kemandirian (masyarakat) bangsa yang dilandaskan pada keadilan sosial. Berkaitan dengan itu dibutuhkan dukungan kemauan politik (”political will”) yang kuat dari kalangan elit kepemimpinan pemerintahan, partai politik, masyarakat adat, serta masyarakat bisnis di tingkat daerah dan pusat.

The biggest challenge of the Indonesian people today is the weakening of national identity, which is marked by the fading sense of social solidarity. Egocentrism behavior is often seen and become something that is common in today's patterns of social relations. The culture of gotong royong is no longer used as a community tradition that is the wealth of the archipelago. This challenge is increasingly apparent because most of the younger generation seems to lack the awareness to preserve various traditions of the Indonesian community's gotong royong. Though gotong royong is a character as well as the national identity of the Indonesian nation that distinguishes it from other nations. Starting from this background, this study aims to find out how students' understanding of the mutual cooperation culture in the Pakpak ethnic community of North Sumatra. This research uses descriptive analytical method. The research subjects were Civic Education and Pancasila Department, University of Medan State. The results showed that the low understanding of students towards various cultures of gotong royong carried out by the Pakpak ethnic community in North Sumatra. This affects the mindset and actions of students to understand and preserve various cultures of gotong royong. From the results of this study it is necessary to develop a learning model that is able to build student awareness of gotong royong culture. Abstrak Di Lampung Timur tepatnya di Desa Negara Nabung Kecamatan Sukadana, masyarakatnya masih memegang kuat nilai-nilai kegotongroyongan yang dijalankan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, baik gotong royong tolong-menolong maupun gotong royong kerja bakti. Masyarakat Negara Nabung menjalankan aktivitas gotong royong tolong-menolong dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, baik di bidang mata pencaharian hidup, kemasyarakatan, dan pelaksanaan upacara adat. Di bidang mata pencaharian, mereka melakukan gotong royong di bidang pertanian yakni di ladang (kebun) dan sawah. Selain bidang pertanian, gotong royong juga dilakukan dalam bidang kemasyarakatan yakni membantu dalam mendirikan rumah, kematian, dan jika ada musibah seperti sakit, kebakaran, kecelakaan dan lain-lain. Di bidang adat, masyarakat tolong-menolong dalam pelaksanaan upacara adat, misalnya dalam upacara perkawinan, kelahiran, dan pemberian gelar (cakak pepadun). Gotong royong kerja bakti juga dilakukan untuk kepentingan umum seperti memperbaiki jalan, mesjid, irigasi, dan balai desa. Namun demikian, tidak dipungkiri pada masa sekarang bentuk gotong royong mengalami perubahan akibat dari perkembangan teknologi, industrialisasi, dan modernisasi. Terlepas dari perubahan yang terjadi, sikap gotong royong pada masyarakat Negara Nabung masih cukup kuat melekat. Hal itu disebabkan di Desa Negara Nabung terdapat prinsip sakai sambaian, salah satu prinsip hidup gotong royong di Lampung. Sakai sambaian adalah nilai budaya penting pada masyarakat Negara Nabung yang sudah menjadi pedoman hidup sehari-hari. AbstractDesa (village) Negara Nabung, Kecamatan (district) Sukadana in East Lampung holds strong values of togetherness (gotong-royong), either in their daily social life or in traditional ceremony. This kind of value has gradually faded due to very fast development in technology, industrialization and modernization. Fortunately, Desa Negara Nabung has a principle called sakai sambaian that helps their bond strong. Sakai sambaian is their guidance in their daily social life, e.g. in erecting new houses, mending roads, and conducting wedding ceremony.
