Testo completoThe aim of this research project is to analyse the evolution of the heritage development process in time and space. It sets out to study the transformations and urban reproductions of the historic centre of Bologna from the period of the unification of the new Italian state to the inclusion of the city's porticoes on UNESCO's World Heritage List. It takes as its starting point the renewed representations and practices of the city's inhabitants, and the parallel institutionalisation of urban heritage at different scales. The history of this urban area and its gradual integration into a wider municipal territory demonstrates the diversification of cultural properties over the period in question, from national monuments to the diffuse heritage that forms the basis of local typicality. It reveals a heritage system made up of interconnected and polarised architectural and town-planning elements. This composition is the result of the stratification and articulation of heritage developments, of which the historic centre is the archetype.Following a geohistorical approach, this thesis sets out to compare, in time and space, the relationships between actors and their cultural properties. The aim is not only to gain a deeper understanding of the increasing complexity of heritage, but also to examine heritage development as a socio-spatial dynamic that interacts with spatial planning and territory management
Remacle, Claudine. "La maison rurale en vallée d'Aoste (Bionaz, Oyace, Torgnon) : étude de géographie historique et sociale". Grenoble 1, 1991. http://www.theses.fr/1991GRE19016.
Testo completoIn the aosta valley rural houses are adapted to the development of families since the lower middle ages. The organisation of villages is directly related to the farming layout of the soils distributed according to height. The present state of inertia of ancient houses is due to mass emigration and to its land consequences, which are connected to the egalitariam succession system; this has caused an indivisibility of real estates. The hierarchy of the local society explains the process of old and new settlements through cadastral records: for example on one side the land retention practiced by the biggest elderly landowners freezing real estates, and the other hand the action of promoters, taking advantage of the touristic residential pressure, who are purchasing the least profitable land and abandoned houses. The landscape is rapidly changing according to the development sectors chosen by the local societies. Second homes are surrounding the villages of torgnon. Model cowsheds are supplanting the former habitat of the higher valpelline region. Everywhere the estate situation of the past is a clue to the present evolution of rural space
Storti, Maristella. "Il paesaggio storico delle cinque terre : individuazione di regole per azioni di progetto condivise". Toulouse 2, 2003. http://www.theses.fr/2003TOU20113.
Testo completoAccording to the approach of this research the reading of the landscape start from a survey of the main cartographic representations available, from the oldest to the most recent ones, concerning the area under exam. The thesis pursues a precise goal: reading and interpreting the origin, the development and subsequent modifications of a reality consolidated in the longterm, and explored through cartography and the most wide-ranging images, in order to recognise indicators that bear witness to the present signs and meanings of a layered schedule, and which allow us to identify rules for shared design actions. This research aims to find a method to deal with other parameters of historic cartography: descriptions, explorations, old land registers become instruments to recognise historic indicators, not quantitative, but, we would say, cultural, in order to outline the identity dimension of territory and landscape

Testo completoThis thesis aims at studying the mediterranean arc : the regions from the straits of gibraltar to the straits of messina that border the coasts of the northwestern mediterranean. The study undertakes to find out whether there exist, beyond the apparent differences, similar forms of organization and types of evolution, and whether, excepting time-lags the devolopment trands have been identical or close. In a word, does an arc effect exist? spatial considerations are at the heart of the problem, the first part of the study is thus devoted to research on methods and techniques that allow for the best integration of space within the regional analysis. The structures and regional dynamics of the arc are analysed in part 2. In the first place, we have compared their structures and socio-economic dynamics with those of other european regions. We next focussed on the string of coastal provinces and departments. Fanally, we have carried out several "close-up" views by focussing on a sample of regions whose structures we have compared, and the functioning of the micro-regional dynamics of on of which has been modelled
Giancaspero, Laura. "L'art mural comme stratégie de survie des communautés rurales. Trois études de cas en milieu rural italien". Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018USPCA158/document.
Testo completoThis thesis is focused on Italian mural paintings in rural environments. Through three case studies, it analyses artistic phenomenon as an expression of the ecological relationship between the local community and their environment. The study of this phenomenon, conducted by combining the geohistorical approach with American ecocriticism, reveals that these murals represent a response to the many fractures: territorial, identity and ecological, which have occurred in this rural area during contemporary times. All these changes, therefore, broke the centuries-old relationships that local communities maintained with their territory by threatening their own existence. This is a common phenomenon in Italy that has resulted in the abandonment of many rural villages. In the case of the three villages analyzed, the local population employed the mural art in order to reclaim their place and to redefine the relationship with their environment, which finally affirmed the survival of these small communities
