Abstract (sommario):
Unilateral dentigerous cyst is a common entity in the oral cavity. Conversely, bilateral dentigerous cysts are rare, especially in non-syndromic patients. The purpose of the present article was to report a case of a bilateral dentigerous cyst in a non-syndromic patient and discuss about the treatment strategy. A literature review was perfomed and only eleven articles was report describing this condition. The orthopantomograph showed impacted wisdom teeth and a bilateral well-defined radiolucent unilocular image around the crown of the lower third molars. The diagnostic hypothesis was bilateral dentigerous cyst. The extraction of the impacted teeth was performed followed by excisional biopsy, which confirmed the diagnosis of dentigerous cyst. It might be concluded that radiographic examination is the first resource to intercept initial changes in the dental follicle through observation of the radiolucent halo. This paper is authored by the administrative head, sixth in line since the first generation, of the Shinto sect known as Shintō Fusōkyō神道扶桑教.This was recognized as a specially established separate sect in 1882 by decree of the Office for Shinto Affairs of the Japanese government. The main devotional focus for Shintō Fusōkyō is nothing less than Mount Fuji. An explanation is given as to why and how it was that sectarian developments could arise at all within Shinto, that is, in the context of a religion regarded as being national in its range. The reasons for this are sought in the rapidly changing policies of the Meiji government at a time when Japan was facing the challenges of the Western powers.

Abstract (sommario):
This chapter explores Nomura Bōtō's life in Chōshū. It starts with a narrative of her rescue from Himeshima by Fuji Shirō and Takasugi Shinsaku. Bōtō took care of Takasugi following his illness. Debates rose whether the poetry monument in Shimonoseki was written by Bōtō or Takasugi. The Bōshū Diary shows her life after exile in Chōshū and Yamaguchi. The chapter discusses how Bōtō passed away after being consumed by her illness. She spent her last twelve days alive writing poetry. Prior to her death, Bōtō had heard from Sumikawa Senzō that overthrowing the bakufu was halted after the individual died of natural causes.

Abstract (sommario):
Evaluation of added resistance in short waves is critical to the assessment of the global performance of a ship traveling in a seaway. In this paper, three methods of added resistance evaluation in short waves are briefly reviewed, including those proposed by Fujii & Takahashi [1], Faltinsen et al. [2], and Kuroda et al. [3]. Based on the experimental data collected by Kuroda et al., a new method is developed for the estimation of added resistance in short waves. The proposed method is validated by comparing the obtained numerical results with experimental data and other numerical solutions for different types of hulls, including the Wigley hull I, KVLCC2 hull, Series 60 hull with CB = 0.7, and the S-175 hull. The present study confirms that the developed method can well predict the added resistance in short waves and complement the three-dimensional Rankine panel method developed in a previous study focusing on intermediate and long waves.
