Testo completoThe paper introduces the new phenomena of dark tourism that has not ever been analyzed in Lithuanian academic literature. The notion of dark tourism and the variety of its forms is represented. This paper also analyzes the reasons of increasing popularity of dark tourism in postmodern society and the ethical points of dark tourism. This paper concentrates on assessment of Lithuania‘s dark heritage and explains the reasons, why this heritage is in such condition. The main focus is on Kaunas Fortress which is an outstanding example of dark heritage in Lithuania. The representation of dark heritage in Kaunas VII and Kaunas IX museums are compared and also the Lithuanian tourist‘s motivation of visiting the dark sites is analyzed.

The system monitors parameters of a number of the on-board electronic and mechanical systems, and also the activities of the vehicle driver. This data is transmitted to a lead vehicle, where the support team analyzes the performance in real-time to optimize the vehicle's performance. In previous vehicles the data was displayed using a LabVIEW based user interface. In this work we will describe a custom software solution, which provides the team with additional flexibility to display and analyze the data.

Testo completoMucopolysaccharidosis type VII (MPS VII) is an ultrarare monogenic lysosomal storage disease. It is caused by the lack of β-‐glucuronidase activity, a lysosomal enzyme involved in the degradation pathway of glycosaminoglycans. This inborn genetic alteration causes a dysfunction of the lysosomal system that entails abnormal lysosomal storage and disruption of cell homeostasis. The disease presents a range of clinical severity among patients, from death in utero to a life expectancy of up to 20 or 30 years for the milder forms. The severe form of MPS VII among cases with postnatal disease onset is characterized by hepatosplenomegaly, skeletal abnormalities, developmental delay and mental retardation, among other symptoms. Currently, the only treatments for MPS VII patients are interventions to alleviate the symptoms, but no curative treatment is available. Gene therapy is a promising therapeutic approach to find a cure for monogenic diseases. Among the available gene delivery vectors, adeno-‐associated viruses (AAVs) present several features that make them attractive for gene therapy strategies: they are able to transduce dividing and quiescent cells, they provide long term expression of the transgene, they are not able to autonomously replicate without a helper virus, and wild type AAV infections are not pathogenic. Different AAV serotypes have been used as gene therapy vectors in preclinical studies. Among them, AAV9 and AAVrh10 are the serotypes which show greater transduction capacity and a broader range of cell-‐type specific tropism, particularly in the central nervous system. The use of AAVrh10, a non-‐human serotype, may avoid the neutralization by anti-‐AAV immune factors present in human sera after natural AAV infections. However, cross-‐reactivity with antibodies raised against AAV2, the most common human AAV serotype, may still interfere in the therapeutic outcome. In this work, we propose a gene therapy strategy for MPS VII based on a single intrathecal injection of an AAVrh10 coding for the β-‐glucuronidase gene, tested in young adult MPS VII mice. We show that vector delivery to the CSF by lumbar puncture, a poorly invasive technique, allows the transduction of CNS structures using a lower vector dose than by intravenous delivery. In addition, the drainage of the vector from the CSF to the bloodstream results in transduction of somatic organs such as liver, thus providing a systemic β-‐glucuronidase source that achieves serum enzymatic activity comparable to wild type mice. The sustained recombinant enzyme expression by AAV-‐transduced cells, and the cross-‐correction provided by enzyme secretion, attains the correction of biochemical and histopathological hallmarks of the disease in CNS and somatic organs. This correction at the cellular level leads to a significant improvement of physical, cognitive and emotional characteristics of MPS VII mice and a doubling of the MPS VII mouse life span.

It has been analyzed how the student processes the data, how he/she learns to learn, how the necessity of acquisition of the new knowledge is produced, as well as, how he/she enjoys acquiring the new knowledge simultaneously with the social relationship that takes place on the future professionals who are carrying out a professional development in order to deal with the social and working world where the competence takes place and just the best qualified and skillful professional will succeed. On the other hand, this research will show the consequences that the variables of study have on the student's academic results. Based on a sample formed by students of the VII and VIII cycle (2004) with 107 students of the Academic Professional School of Social Communication and 156 students of the Academic Professional School of System Engineering. The kind of research developed has been the descriptive one, co relational design, guided sample of probabilistic one. The data was processed by the statistics package of the Social Security Service (SPSS), developing an Chi square tests and getting to know that there is a correlation among the variables of study and the acceptance of the general hypothesis set. Moreover, it was found that there isn't any meaningful difference in the academic performance and the cognitive needs of the Professional Academic School of Social Communication compared with the Professional Academic School of System. Engineering, where the first one got higher marks

Testo completoSince the end of the 1990's, the Maison Hennessy, thanks to the expertise of its Tasting Committee, has noticed a decrease in the proportion of eaux-de-vies with high qualitative potential. Thus, with the help of a CIFRE thesis led in cooperation with UMR GENIAL, it has been decided to develop means of characterisation of eaux-de-vie and identify factors within the distillation process that will enable the production of more quality-oriented new eaux-de-vie.These works have been structured around the following themes: (i) research of key volatile compounds through olfactometry, (ii) development of a descriptive and quantitative sensory method, (iii) setting up an experimental distillation tool as well as the implementation of structured trials in the shape of designs of experiments, and finally (iv) behavioural study of volatile compounds during batch distillation.(i) The fast GC-Olfactometry method enabled us to identify 7 volatile compounds probably involved in the discrimination of the qualitative potential: acetaldehyde, ethyl caproate, hexyl acetate, 3-methylpentanol, 3-ethoxy-1-propanol, acetic acid, isobutanoic acid.(ii) The development of a QDA-type sensory method led to the elaboration of a list of 19 sensory descriptors representative of eaux-de-vie with strong potential as well as the creation of 22 aromatic references for panel training. The control of performances highlighted the necessity to pursue further the training in order to benefit from a reliable panel according to AFNOR.(iii) The set-up of a dedicated room equipped with pilot pot-stills, associated with the development of an experimental distillation methodology and the use of designs of experiments, enabled to study the effect of 5 distillation factors upon the quality of new eaux-de-vie. The results foreshadow a positive influence of a taller swan's neck and an absence of recycling of tails.(iv) Finally, the behavioural study of volatile compounds during distillation validated a classification previously established in literature and has highlighted the possibility to use a commercial simulation software to describe their behaviour

O segundo capÃtulo examina a noÃÃo de imagem, bem como o uso que o filÃsofo faz de vÃrias imagens para tratar justamente de distinguir imagem de essÃncia. Para referir-se à imagem, na RepÃblica, PlatÃo nÃo se vale de um Ãnico termo, mas de vÃrios como eikon, eidolÃn, skiÃ, phÃntasma. Examinamos, ainda, exemplos de imagens usadas na RepÃblica, como a imagem do sol, a da trikymia, a da linha dividida, e a da caverna.
This research aims to examine the notion of image in books V, VI and VII and its implications in the formation of the philosopher-king in the Republic of Plato. It is divided into two chapters: the first one analyzes the proposal of a new paideia that form the philosopher-king, highlighting the Platonic dialectics. The second chapter examines the notion of the image as well as the philosopher makes use of multiple images precisely to distinguish image from essence. In order to refer to the image, in the Republic, Plato doesnât use a single term, but many others like eikon, eidolon, skiÃ, phÃntasma. This dissertation also examines some examples of images used in the Republic, as the image of the sun, the trikymia, the divided line and the cave.

Testo completoResumo: A hipoplasia maxilar geralmente resulta em uma maloclusão Classe III de Angle, podendo, em alguns casos, apresentar mordida aberta anterior. O grau de deficiência de crescimento orbital, maxilar e ao nível oclusal raramente é uniforme nos três planos. Para corrigir discrepâncias severas e atingir uma relação intermaxilar adequada, com oclusão estável, a osteotomia Le Fort III está indicada para tratamento de pacientes sindrômicos e não sindrômicos. A técnica segue um desenho semelhante a uma fratura Le Fort III, descrita por René Le Fort. Devido à mobilização de todo segmento esquelético do terço médio, apresenta resultados estéticos mais favoráveis em comparação com avanço apenas do segmento maxilar. Este trabalho tem o propósito de avaliar comparativamente, por meio de análise tomográfica retrospectiva, a alteração das vias aéreas superiores e a estabilidade óssea em pacientes não sindrômicos submetidos à osteotomia Le Fort III modificada associada à osteotomia Le Fort I para tratamento da hipoplasia do terço médio da face.
The maxillary hypoplasia generally results in an Angle Class III malocclusion, and may in some cases produce anterior open bite. The level of orbital, maxillary and occlusal growth deficiency is rarely uniform in all three planes. To correct severe discrepancies and achieve adequate intermaxillary relation, with stable occlusion, Le Fort III osteotomy is indicated for the treatment of syndromic and non-syndromic patients. The technique is similar to a Le Fort III fracture, described by René Le Fort. Due to the mobilization of the entire skeletal segment of the facial middle third, presents more favorable cosmetic results compared to advancement of only the maxillary segment. This retrospective work aims to compare, using computed tomography, the change of the superior airway and the stability of the bone advancement in non-syndromic patients who underwent modified Le Fort III osteotomy associated with the Le Fort I osteotomy...(Complete abstract electronic sccess below)

Testo completoENGLISH ABSTRACT: My provisional identification of chiasm in Mark 7:24-31 initiated this multidisciplinary study of the literary shape of this interesting text. New Testament scholars tend to agree that the genre (form, content and function) of the Gospel of Mark exhibits the literary characteristics typical of ancient, first century AD, Greco-Roman biography thereby evidencing, in a broad sense, Greco-Roman form and function, and Jewish content. As a result, the New Testament Gospels have been described as a "tertium quid'. However, until fairly recently, few scholars appear to have taken the possibility of finding Jewish rhetorical form, in the shape of chiasm, into account in their examination of New Testament texts and have almost exclusively tended to focus on classical Greek rhetorical forms. As a result, this study opens itself to the possibility of finding both Jewish and Greco- Roman literary forms in the text, thereby attempting to obtain a greater presence of understanding of what the implied author was doing with the text. This study therefore endeavours to understand, not only what the implied author intended to communicate through the literary form of the text to the implied reader but also, at the level of discourse, the "how" of that communication within the literary context of the Gospel as a whole. In the light of the aforegoing, the research questions appear as follows. (1) What, on a balance of probability, is the literary form or structure of Mark 7:24- 3 1 within its literary context? If the form of the text is found, on a balance of probability, to exhibit the characteristics of chiasm: (2) What implied effect would this have on an implied reader when understood and interpreted within the context of Greco-Roman biography? And, (3) what effect would the answers to (1) and (2) above have on a modern (present) reader of the Gospel of Mark? After a brief overview of the socio-historical and cultural setting to the Gospel of Mark that serves as essential background material necessary for an understanding of the text, this study proceeds to consider the ancient roots of chiasm with regard to the literature of the Ancient Near East and briefly traces its prevalence from the ancient past through to the period of the New Testament. Because chiasm is a particular form of parallelism, the importance of understanding Biblical parallelisms in the Hebrew literature in general and its significance with regard to the New Testament and Mark's Gospel in particular is considered. A discussion of various definitions of chiasm follows. After considering the Gospel of Mark and the literary context of the subject text, its literary form is examined in the light of known ancient literary conventions, including Biblical narrative and the various forms evidenced in the exchange of dialogue are considered and the text examined for further correspondences. Thereafter the text is reviewed within its literary context and, what follows, is an explanation of how the form of the text may function within its literary location.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: My voorlopige identifiesering van chiasme in Markus 7:24-31 inisieer 'n multidimensionele studie van die literêre vorm van dié interessante teks. Nuwe-Testamentici neig om saam te stem dat die genre (vorm, inhoud en funksie) van die evangelie volgens Markus die literêre kenmerke toon, tipies van antieke, eerste eeuse (AD) Grieks-Romeinse biografie en stel so, in 'n breë sin, Grieks-Romeinse vorm en funksie sowel as Joodse inhoud ten toon. As 'n resultaat is die Nuwe Testamentiese Evangelies beskryf as 'n "tertium quid." Tog, tot redelik onlangs het weinig Nuwe-Testamentici die moontlikheid in ag geneem om Joodse retoriese vorm, in die vorm van giasme, te vind in hulle ondersoek van Nuwe Testamentiese tekste en het geneig om bykans uitsluitlik te fokus op klassieke Griekse retoriese vorme. As 'n gevolg open hierdie studie ditself tot die moontlikheid om Joodse, sowel as Grieks-Romeinse literêre vorme binne die teks te vind en sodoende 'n groter begrip mee te bring van wat die geïmpliseerde outeur met die teks gemaak het. Die studie onderneem dus om nie net aan te dui wat die geïmpliseerde outeur beoog het om te kommunikeer d.m.v. die literêre vorm van die teks aan die geïmpliseerde gehoor nie, maar ook op die vlak van diskoers, die "hoe" van die kommunikasie binne die literêre konteks van die evangelie as geheel. In die lig van die voorafgaande kan die ondersoekvrae as volg geformuleer word. (1) Wat is die literêre vorm of struktuur van Markus 7:24-31 binne die bepaalde literêre konteks? lndien die vorm van die teks die kenmerke van chiasme vertoon: (2) Watter geïmpliseerde effek sal dit hê op 'n geïmpliseerde gehoor indien die teks verstaan en geïnterpreteer word binne die konteks van Grieks-Romeinse biografie? En (3) watter effek sal die antwoorde tot vrae (1) en (2) hê op die moderne (eietydse) leser van die Evangelie volgens Markus? Na 'n kort oorsig oor die sosio-historiese en kulturele plasing van die Evangelie volgens Markus wat dien as noodsaaklike agtergrond materiaal, noodsaaklik vir 'n verstaan van die teks, gaan die studie voort om die antieke wortels van chiasme te oorweeg, met inagneming die literatuur van die ou Nabye Ooste en gaan kortliks die belang hiervan na, vanaf die antieke tye tot en met die Nuwe Testamentiese tydperk. Aangesien chiasme 'n spesifieke vorm van parallelisme is, word die belang van die verstaan van Bybelse parallelisme binne die Hebreeuse literatuur in die algemeen en die belang daarvan rakende die Nuwe Testament en die Evangelie volgens Markus in besonder, oorweeg. 'n Bespreking van verskeie definisies van chiasme volg. MAUPASSANT COMBINES A REFERENTIAL REALITY AND THE ARTISTIC SUBJECTIVITY TO CREATE THE IMPRESSION OF VERISIMILITUDE IN HIS DESCRIPTIONS LIKE NORMANDY, NATURAL SPACES, PARIS OR CLOSED SPACES. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SPACE AND CHARACTERS, IN MAUPASSANT'S NOVELS, IS MARKED BY A PHENOMENON OF RECIPROCITY. SPACE IS SOMETIMES TRANSMITTER AND OTHER TIMES RECEIVER OF MODALITIES IN RELATION TO A SYSTEM OF CHARACTERS WICH CONTAINS CHARACTERS OF "BEING" AND CHARACTERS OF "DOING". THE SECOND PART OF THE WORK STUDIES THE MODALISATION OF CHARACTERS BY THE SPACE. THIS MODALISATION, WICH IS FOUNDED ON THE PERCEPTION'S THEME, CONFIRMS THE ACTIVE ROLE OF THE NOVEL'S SPACE AND HIS RECOUNTING FUNCTION IN THE STORY. THEN, WE DISCOVER, THROUGH PRIVILEGIED SPACES, THE IMPORTANCE OF SENSES IN THE NOVELIST'S WORK AND IT ESTABLISHS THE RELATIONSHIP OF strength BETWEEN PHYSICAL SPACE AND THE CHARACTER. THE THIRD PART OF THE THESIS IS CONSECRATED TO THE MODALISATION OF THE SPACE BY CHARACTER WHO IS APPOINTED TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF HIS OWN SPACE. THIS CONSTRUCTION IS ASSUMED BY CHARACTER'S LOOK AND IS SUBMISSIVED TO HIS VARIOUS SIGHTS. Testo completoDetermina la manera de cómo se relaciona el desempeño del docente con los logros de aprendizaje en estudiantes. Desde la perspectiva de una investigación se plantea el tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo utilizando el diseño correlacional; se lleva a cabo un conjunto de actividades utilizando los conceptos teóricos básicos del desempeño docente y los logros de aprendizaje en los estudiantes, a través del muestreo no probabilístico se elige una muestra de 12 docentes, 03 directivos y 25 estudiantes del VII ciclo de la especialidad de matemáticas a quienes se les aplica mediante la técnica de la encuesta a través de un cuestionario así como la revisión documentaria de las actas de evaluación al finalizar el semestre académico 2014-II, con el instrumento que consta de 37 ítems y mide las dimensiones: obligaciones y programa curricular, metodología y uso de materiales didácticos, actitudes y evaluación; una ficha de observación de revisión documentaria de las actas de evaluación de asignaturas del VII Ciclo: Geometría III Análisis III Álgebra Epistemología de la matemática, Currículo y didáctica aplicada a la matemática, Inglés III, Práctica pre-profesional, investigación aplicada, Opcional III /Seminarios de actualización. Ambos han sido validados mediante juicio de expertos y presentan un adecuado nivel de confiabilidad: 0,854 respectivamente. Los resultados demuestran que existe relación significativa entre el desempeño del docente con los logros de aprendizaje en estudiantes del VII ciclo de la especialidad de matemática.

Testo completoThe use of plasma as an amplification medium is currently discussed because it can overcome current solid-state technology limitations in terms of maximum achievable intensity. Via parametric scattering off a plasma oscillation the energy from a long pump pulse can be transferred into a short seed pulse. Brillouin scattering has the potential to become a robust amplification process. In this thesis we present theoretical and numerical (PIC) studies aimed at better understanding the role of each plasma parameter on the amplification mechanism: the interaction length, the shape of the density profile, the duration of the long pump signal, the relative delay between the seed and pump signals, the chirp of the long pump laser pulse. For the first time we show complete description of the time and space evolution of the phases of the pump, seed and plasma density perturbation that dictate the energy flow transfer between the pump and seed laser beams and the efficiency of amplification. In order to propose and improve nowadays experimental set-ups, a comparison with recent experiments is performed

Testo completoThe promise of the "porte-fort" stated by the article 1120 of the civil code, is the engagement towards the stipulant to obtain the consent of the third party. The contractant concludes a contract on behalf of a third without having the power of doing it in the first place. He himself promises that a third will take the engagement. The promise of the "porte-fort" appears in the accomplishement of legal facts and legal transactions. It is not submitted to any special form. While interpreting the promise, the judge has the power to give back to the contract its real judicial qualification without having to follow the qualifications suggested by the parties. The approval is the act whereby the third lets know that the wants to make the contract that had been concluded in this behalf by the contractant. The contractant is therefore freed. He garantees only the approval, but not the execution of the fact, and that is because he is not "caution". The third becames then directly engaged tomards the stipulant. The approval has a retroactive action since the day where the promise of the "porte-fort" has been made. The lack of approval binds the liability out of contract of the contractant towards the stipulant. The promise of the "porte-fort" is not considered a promise for others. The third is not bound if he did not give his consent. The promise of the "porte-fort" is not a derogation to the principle of the relatif effect of contracts stated by the article 1165 of the civil code. The promise of the "porte-fort" is different from other close notions such as business management, "l'enrichissement sans cause", representation, mandat, provision in favour of the third party, shipping contract of goods and collective labour agreement. It has its own characteristics that give it a proper judicial nature. It is a unique and independant notion.
