Magnaporthe grisea, pathogène du riz est cosmopolite et cause d’énormes dégâts au Mali. L’utilisation de variétés résistantes et de fongicides chimiques sont efficaces pour son contrôle, mais présentent des limites objectives avec le contournement des gènes de résistances par l’agent pathogène, ainsi que les risques sanitaires et environnementaux que présentent les fongicides. Avec cette information de base, cette étude s’est proposée de développer une stratégie de lutte biologique utilisant des antagonismes naturels afin de contrôler M. grisea. Dix souches de M. grisea du Mali ont été caractérisées morphologiquement et moléculairement pour confirmer leurs identité et variabilité. L’action antagoniste in vitro de 05 souches de T. harzianum a été évaluée sur ces souches pathogènes. M. grisea et T. harzianum ont ainsi été mises en confrontation directe dans des boites de Petri pendant 06 jours. Les croissances radiales du pathogène ont été évaluées et les coefficients d’antagonisme calculés. L’analyse moléculaire a indiqué que toutes les souches appartiennent à M. grisea et présentent de fortes homologies avec les souches de références du NCBI. L’analyse des séquences a indiqué trois groupes légèrement distingués. Toutes les souches de T. harzianum ont inhibé la croissance du pathogène avec des coefficients d’antagonisme compris entre 0,50 et 0,78.Mots clés: Riz, Magnaporthe grisea, In vitro, Trichoderma harzianum, antagonisme. English Title: In vitro evaluation of the antagonistic potential of Trichoderma harzianum from Burkina Faso against Magnaporthe grisea, the causative agent of rice blast disease, isolated in MaliMagnaporthe grisea, a rice pathogen, is cosmopolitan and causes enormous damage in Mali. The use of resistance cultivars and chemical fungicide are generally effective control methods. However, the durability of genetic resistance is often short-lived because of the pathogen’s ability to rapidly evolve to overcome resistance gene, and then environmental and toxicity threat of chemicals employment. With this basic information, this study proposed to develop an alternative strategy to control M. grisea with T. harzianum. M. grisea from Mali has been characterized morphologically and molecularly to confirm their identity and variability. The in vitro antagonistic action of 05 strains of T. harzianum was tested. M. grisea and T. harzianum were thus confronted with a direct confrontation in the Petri dishes during 06 days. The radial growths of the pathogen were evaluated and the coefficients of antagonism calculated. Molecular analysis with all strains corresponds to M. grisea and strong assertions with NCBI reference strains. Sequence analysis indicated three slightly distinguished groups. T. harzianum strains inhibited growth of the pathogen with antagonistic coefficients between 0.50 and 0.78.Keywords: Rice, Magnaporthe grisea, In vitro, Trichoderma harzianum, antagonism

L’anacardier (Anacardium occidentale L.), importante culture de rente, est confrontée à la menace de nombreux pathogènes qui entravent sa productivité au Cameroun. Dès lors, cette étude se propose de déterminer le potentiel d’une lutte biologique à base d’extraits végétaux sur les champignons pathogènes identifiés sur des fruits prélevés dans le bassin de la Benoué. Pour atteindre ces objectifs, l’identification des agents pathogènes des fruits, des tests de pathogénicité et l’évaluation de l’effet antifongique in vitro et in vivo des extraits de piments et de neem ont été effectués. Les résultats ont montré que ces fruits abritent une diversité d’espèces fongiques dont les principales sont Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Oïdium anacardii, Fusarium solani, Aspergillus niger et Phytophthora sp. Les tests de pathogénicité ont produit les symptômes des maladies observées sur le terrain. L’huile de neem et les extrait de piment ont inhibé totalement la croissance de C. gloeosporioides, O. anacardii et A. niger aux doses respectives de 7,5% v/v et 75 mg/ml. Cependant, l'huile de neem s'est avérée plus efficace. Ces résultats représentent des sources d'information précieuses pour l’implémentation d'une stratégie de lutte intégrée contre les agents pathogènes de l’anacardier à l’origine de la baisse de sa productivité, affectant ainsi son potentiel économique. English Title: Antifungal effect of two plant extracts on pathogens identified on fruits of Cashew tree (Anacardium occidentale L.) in North Cameroon The Cashew tree (Anacardium occidentale L.), an important cash crop, is challenged by the proliferation of pathogens that affect its productivity in Cameroon. Therefore, this study aims to determine the potential of a biological control based on plant extracts on pathogenic fungi identified on fruits collected in the Benoué basin. To achieve these objectives, identification of fruit pathogens, pathogenicity tests and evaluation of the in vitro and in vivo antifungal effect of chilli and neem extracts were carried out. The results showed that these fruits harbour a diversity of fungal species, of which the main ones are Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Oïdium anacardii, Fusarium solani, Aspergillus niger and Phytophthora sp. The pathogenicity tests have generated the symptoms of the diseases observed in the field. Neem oil and chilli extracts completely inhibited the growth of C. gloeosporioides, O. anacardii and A. niger at doses of 7.5% v/v and 75 mg/ml respectively. However, neem oil proved to be more effective. These results represent valuable sources of information for the implementation of an integrated pest management strategy against cashew pathogens that impede the productivity of the tree, thereby affecting its economic potential.

Abstract (sommario):
De nombreux etats pathologiques, tels le diabete, les maladies cerebrales, l'ischemie myocardique et le cancer, sont associes a des troubles dans le transport ou le metabolisme intracellulaire du glucose. L'appreciation in vivo chez l'homme des variations pathologiques de la captation du glucose revet donc une grande importance en medecine. Pour ces raisons nous avons oriente notre travail vers la recherche de nouveaux analogues du glucose marques a l'iode 123, un radioelement emetteur et utilisables dans tous les services de medecine nucleaire. Pour proceder a l'evaluation biologique de ces analogues iodes du glucose nous avons choisi deux modeles experimentaux: la culture primaire de cardiomyocytes de rats nouveau-nes et la souris in vivo. Ces modeles experimentaux ont ete valides et des protocoles experimentaux pour l'etude des nouveaux analogues du glucose ont ete etablis avec l'aide de trois traceurs de reference de la captation du glucose par les cellules: le #1#4c2-deoxy-d-glucose, le #1#4c3-o-methyl-d-glucose (3-omg) et le #1#4cl-glucose. Dix analogues du glucose, marques a l'iode 123 en position 1, 2, 3 ou 6 de la molecule du glucose ont ete synthetises et etudies sur nos differents modeles experimentaux. Parmi ces analogues trois ont montre des proprietes interessantes. Le 6-deoxy-6-iodo-d-glucose (6dig) a montre un comportement tres proche de celui du 3-omg et s'est donc revele etre un excellent traceur du transport net du glucose par l'intermediaire du transporteur du glucose. Le -methyl-6-deoxy-6-iodo-d-glucose (mdig) a aussi montre un comportement semblable a celui du 3-omg, mais cependant, la specificite de son interaction avec le transporteur du glucose semble plus faible comparee a celle du 6dig. Le 2,3,4,6-tetra-o-acetyl-2'iodoethyl -d-glucopyranoside (1paig1) a montre des caracteristiques laissant supposer qu'il pourrait etre un bon marqueur des transporteurs du glucose, se fixant sur ceux-ci probablement du cote intracellulaire. Son comportement biologique a ete compare a celui de la cytochalasine b, un marqueur des transporteurs du glucose, et les deux molecules ont montre un comportement biologique similaire. Les resultats obtenus avec ces trois molecules sont tres encourageants puisque c'est la premiere fois que l'on observe une interaction specifique entre un analogue iode du glucose et le transporteur. De plus, injectees chez le chien in vivo, ces molecules permettent l'acquisition d'images scintigraphiques de bonne qualite

Plusieurs composés présents dans les solutions de cryoconservation pour embryons sontsource de préoccupations : soit du point de vue sanitaire à cause de leur origine animale, soitdu fait de leur rôle potentiellement mutagène, notamment pour certains cryoprotecteurspénétrants. Leur retrait ou leur substitution par des composés chimiquement définis pourraitdonc constituer une amélioration sensible des techniques de cryoconservation des embryons.C’est dans ce cadre de réflexion que s’inscrit notre travail.Souvent, la conception et la mise en oeuvre des protocoles de cryoconservation sontempiriques. Il en résulte de nombreuses variations entre les études qui rendent lacomparaison des résultats obtenus d’autant plus difficile. Dans notre démarche, deuxapproches complémentaires ont été associées :•La première, physique, s’appuie sur l’utilisation de la calorimétrie différentielle à balayage(DSC) pour standardiser la comparaison des différentes solutions de congélation lente.Ainsi, les propriétés thermodynamiques de solutions contenant un substituant défini ontété caractérisées et comparées à celles de solutions contenant des produits de référence(sérum de veau foetal ou albumine bovine sérique) ;• La seconde, biologique, a consisté à congeler des embryons de lapins produits in vivo etdes embryons bovins produits in vitro, puis à analyser les taux de survie après culture invitro et/ou transferts. Cette approche a permis d’objectiver les propriétés biologiques dessolutions ainsi définies.Nos résultats confirment qu’il est judicieux d’utiliser une approche thermodynamiquepour sélectionner des molécules chimiquement différentes des composés habituellementutilisés
Several compounds in embryo cryopreservation solutions are a source of concern:products of animal origin because of the sanitary risks, and the permeating cryoprotectantsbecause of their potential mutagenic effect. Removing or substituting these compounds withchemically defined products might improve embryo cryopreservation technics.Conception and use of cryopreservation protocols are often empirical. This empiricismleads to many variations between the studies which make a comparison between results allthe more difficult. In our study, two complementary approaches were associated:• The first approach (physical) consisted of using the differential scanning calorimetry tostandardize the comparison between different slow-freezing solutions. Plusieurs composés présents dans les solutions de cryoconservation pour embryons sontsource de préoccupations : soit du point de vue sanitaire à cause de leur origine animale, soitdu fait de leur rôle potentiellement mutagène, notamment pour certains cryoprotecteurspénétrants. Leur retrait ou leur substitution par des composés chimiquement définis pourraitdonc constituer une amélioration sensible des techniques de cryoconservation des embryons.C'est dans ce cadre de réflexion que s'inscrit notre travail.Souvent, la conception et la mise en oeuvre des protocoles de cryoconservation sontempiriques. Il en résulte de nombreuses variations entre les études qui rendent lacomparaison des résultats obtenus d'autant plus difficile. Dans notre démarche, deuxapproches complémentaires ont été associées :*La première, physique, s'appuie sur l'utilisation de la calorimétrie différentielle à balayage(DSC) pour standardiser la comparaison des différentes solutions de congélation lente.Ainsi, les propriétés thermodynamiques de solutions contenant un substituant défini ontété caractérisées et comparées à celles de solutions contenant des produits de référence(sérum de veau foetal ou albumine bovine sérique) ;* La seconde, biologique, a consisté à congeler des embryons de lapins produits in vivo etdes embryons bovins produits in vitro, puis à analyser les taux de survie après culture invitro et/ou transferts. Cette approche a permis d'objectiver les propriétés biologiques dessolutions ainsi définies.Nos résultats confirment qu'il est judicieux d'utiliser une approche thermodynamiquepour sélectionner des molécules chimiquement différentes des composés habituellementutilisés.

La substitution des immunoglobulines polyclonales anti-d par des anticorps monoclonaux anti-d dans la prévention de l'allo-immunisation foeto-maternelle à l'antigène d nécessite une sélection in vitro des anticorps monoclonaux. Seulement, la méconnaissance du mode d'action des anti-d ne permet pas de définir de façon sûre les critères de sélection d'anti-d à usage thérapeutique. Un travail de base a donc été entrepris avec quelques anticorps monoclonaux humains anti-d dans le but de définir les paramètres importants pour la sélection de tels anticorps anti-d. Plusieurs tests in vitro ont ainsi été développés. L'activité biologique des anticorps monoclonaux anti-d a toujours été comparée à des immunoglobulines polyclonales anti-d de référence qui sont reconnues comme efficaces dans la prévention de la mhnn. L'analyse des résultats obtenus a montré des différences d'activité entre les anticorps quant à leur capacité a induire une lyse ou une phagocytose d'hématies sensibilisées non seulement en fonction de la sous-classe igg1 ou igg3 mais aussi entre différentes igg1. Une étude comparative entre la réactivité des anti-d et leurs propriétés fonctionnelles a également été réalisée. De plus, des essais de mélange de deux anticorps monoclonaux ont montré qu'il était possible d'obtenir une potentialisation de l'activité de phagocytose. Toutefois, il reste difficile de trouver des anticorps possédant simultanément les deux critères d'efficacité : réactivité et activité fonctionnelle. Une des voies d'approche pour essayer de contourner cette limite consiste a préparer des anti-d par recombinaison génétique. Quatre anticorps recombinants anti-d ont ainsi été étudiés en tests d'adcc et de phagocytose

LLa photophysique du calcium green a été étudiée grâce au montage de fluorescence résolue en temps sous microscope. Cette sonde est caractérisée par des durées de vie différentes selon l'état de complexation au calcium. Elle n'est pas sensible a la viscosité et peu sensible a la polarité, mais sensible a l'hydrolyse, a l'adsorption et au ph. La molécule sonde le milieu dans son état fondamental. Il existe deux conformations stables de la sonde, caractérisées par leurs durées de vie. La durée de vie courte est due au transfert de charges intramoléculaire. Des études ex vivo sur des cellules ont été faites : étalonnage, détermination de la concentration en calcium, mesure d'adsorption de la sonde par anisotropie de fluorescence.

Ferrocene derivatives are known as antioxidants, antiparasitic, antitumor, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal agents. In addition to applications in medicinal chemistry and drug design, ferrocene derivatives are of exceptional importance in synthetic organic chemistry, especially in catalytic asymmetric transformations. They are also used in electrochemistry and polymer chemistry, as additives in fuels, as chemosensors in agrochemistry and biosensors of glucose and active components in molecular electronics. To design new antioxidant agents, five ferrocenyl chalcones were synthesized, and fully characterized by melting points, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopic methods. The synthesized chalcones differ in the nature and the position of the substituent attached to the phenyl group in position 1 of the linear unsaturated carbonyl system. The potential antioxidant activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated using the ABTS (2,2'-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) method and IC50 values of the most effective compounds were further determined.

To develop screening methods and identify nematocidal effects of anthelmintics in vitro, we used the methodology we developed [2]. Our purpose was to find nematocidal properties among well-known pesticides: anthelmintics, acaricides, insecticides, molluscicides, and drugs used in plant protection, veterinary medicine and in medicine. In case nematocidal properties are detected, they can be used in practice to control phytohelminths. In our research, this is a selection to detect nematocidal substances for screening objects. The screening objects are nematodes of different ecological groups, namely Caenorhabditis elegans, Turbatrix aceti, and Ditylenchus destructor. The nematicidity assessment was carried out by comparison with the control and reference options. As a result of the studies, references were determined for in vitro screening methods for nematocidal activity of anthelmintics. Phytoverm, CE (Aversectin C (2g/L)) was taken as a reference. Nematode mortality was determined by the Schneider-Orelli’s formula. Of the tested anthelmintics, nematocidal effect was detected in Albendazole, Decaris, Vermox, Levamisole, Tetramisole, and Iversan. The result of the studies for nematicidity of pesticides and anthelmintics found that the in vitro screening method developed by us was effective in identifying substances with nematocidal properties.

La productividad en países tropicales como Colombia, donde el cambio climático se ha convertido en un inconveniente. En CORPOICA, se identificó una levadura colombiana nativa Meyerozyma guilliermondii cepa Lv196 como un microorganismo prometedor con un alto potencial probiótico en ensayos in vitro cuando se mezcla con aceite esencial de orégano (OEO). Debido a la propiedad antimicrobiana de OEO, una alternativa diferente de prototipos debe proponerse para evitar la pérdida de viabilidad de células de levadura durante el tiempo de almacenamiento. Abstract (sommario):
Review question / Objective: a) What is the current state and distribution of evidence on medicinal plants for ethnoveterinary practice in livestock keeping communities in Eastern Africa? b) What evidence exists about the pharmacological activities and effectiveness in control of livestock pests or disease pathogens, of ethnoveterinary medicinal plants accessible to the drylands of Eastern Africa? Information sources: This systematic review will consider both experimental and quasi-experimental evaluation studies that report positive outcomes; in-vivo and in-vitro assays and phytochemical composition assessment. Qualitative studies that focus on ethnoveterinary medicinal plant use including, but not limited to qualitative description and action research, will also be considered. In addition, systematic reviews that meet the inclusion criteria will be considered.
