Testo completoBy choosing the earnest money as the subject of comparison, the present study tries to illustrate the relationship between the legal technique and the legal function on the one hand, between the function of a legal institution and its legal regime on the other. The technique and the function are two distinct components of the deposit. The technique of deposit is the same in the two contrary, where as its functions differs a lot. At the same time, there is an interdependance between those two elements. The function of the deposit determines the role played by the technique. In return, the efficiency of the function depends on the legal technique used. The functional difference also has an impact on the legal regime of the earnest money. Firstly, the problem of judicial control of the clause are not solved in the same way. Secondly, the legal effets produised by the contract of deposit varies according to the its different functions. The present study shows the necessity to assure the adequacy between the function of a institution and its legal regime.Through this research, we intend to provide an over view of the two legal systems, in order not only to give the french readers a complete picture about Chinese law, but also to bring to light the divergences which seperate French law and Chinese law. The massive use of the chinese courts' decisions constitute a remarquable feature of present work

Testo completoMichel Foucault argues that the history or more precisely, the time is the theme that has obsessed in the 19th century. According to Michel Foucault, this is the age of space. However, the space is not an abstract concept of speculation; it is always an element of the world from perceptual experience. Its roots in daily experience such as the space of body placed in an environment, in a habitat, in the social field, etc., may be incompatible with the object and purpose of the metaphysics which often questions the ultimate structure of the universe, the first cause in the world, etc. The concept of metaphysics of space incorporates the ingredients empirical: perceptual experience and the empirical experience of body living in the world which ultimately determines the metaphysical speculation. That is to say, the new exploration of space has also changed the stereotype of traditional metaphysics. From the view of human practice, space is the necessary condition to enable individual freedom and coexistence with others in the society. In the comparison of the conception in both French philosophy and Chinese philosophy, we will examine the metaphysical meanings of space not only ontological, but also in the field of epistemology and the theory of value
Ho, Wen-Yee. "Textualité et intertextualité dans la poésie de Mao : étude sémiotique". Rennes 2, 1987. http://www.theses.fr/1987REN20015.
Testo completoIn this thesis which comprises five chapters (historical situation of the poems, genres and language, macrostructures and microstructures, imagery, and intertext), we propose to do a semiotic study on the texture and the intertexture of Mao’s poetry. In the chapter "historical situation of the poems", we give a global discussion of Mao’s poetry while pointing out the historical and personal situations which inspire moa to write poetry. In the chapter "genres and language", we present the genres that Mao uses in his poems, the special characteristics of the Chinese characters, and the rules of versification of Chinese poetry. We point out the importance of parallelism as an organisation principle in Chinese poetry and we verify the theories of Jacobson on the function of equivalence and of parallelism in the poetic discourse. In the chapter "macrostructures and microstructures", our aim is to study the major structures and the stylistic touches in Mao’s poetry. In the chapter "imagery", we study the imagery in Mao’s poetry, and we show that, thanks to the concept of parallelism, imagery is not only decorative and static, but also a dynamic element which generates text. Finally, in the last chapter "intertext", we discuss the practice of intertext and the relationship between poetry and politics in the Chinese poetic tradition, and we also study the operations of intertext in Mao’s poetry. In our analyses of structures, imagery, and the "working" of the intertext, we try to elucidate the dominant structural systems, the functioning of imagery and of intertexts, in order to bring out the ideology of Mao. We also provide in the appendix three letters written by Mao the subject of poetry, and a literary translation of the forty-seven poems of Mao
Au, yeung Yan Annie. "Phonétique française et phonétique chinoise : Essai de l'analyse des interférences du chinois dans l'apprentissage du français, langue étrangère". Rouen, 1988. http://www.theses.fr/1988ROUEL067.
Testo completoHaving as objective to analyse the phonetic interferences from the chinese student's native language in his acquisition of the french pronunciation, we started by a contrast study about french and chinese phonological systems (the chinese here means putonghua, known as chinese national language and also named mandarin in the western world). We put in evidence the similarities and the differences between these two languages in phonology and prosody. A comparative study has been done in combination, distribution and using frequency of the vocal and consonant phonemes in the two languages. We emphasized on the tones which play a distinctive role in chinese and which also cause a lot of problems in the perception and the acquisition of the french prosody. The study on different phonic elements allowed us to determine the phonetic interferences from the chinese language and to establish an anticipatory error system. Finally, we tried to propose corrective methods, catering for chinese students. We hope that our study could help the teacher and the chinese learner to have a pre-vision of phonetic errors in learning or teaching french, to avoid and correct them in a relatively effective manner

Printmaking is not only a form of creativity, but also a mirror that reflects cultural phenomena in the Chinese society. This dissertation has three parts. The first part discusses the development of modern printmaking movements in china from 1929 to 1949. The second part describes the development of printmaking in Beijing and other areas with regional characteristics from 1949. The third part introduces the printmaking development in Taiwan that had been influenced by the west from 1949. This dissertation provides a complete account of the development of chines printmaking by investigating the movements and transformation of print from the 30 s

Testo completoThe starting point for this thesis is research into the foundations of popular medicine, especially Chinese popular medicine. We then consider the unconscious prejudices of modern thought concerning the concept of existence compared with traditional thought. From this initial point, and after defining the parameters of the subject in the field of sinology and by reference to standard texts, we explore the postulate and implied axioms underlying the founding notions of different traditions, principally the Chinese tradition. We arrive at a concept of being radically different from, but equally justified as, that propounded by modern thought. We go on to develop the so-called hypothesis of permanent pre-existence (or always having been), a hypothesis which has been mathematically justified by Kurt Godel. According to Godel's theorem of incompletien (1931), no thought can be the starting point of its own development. From this hypothesis, we demonstrate that, through the axioms of globality, analogy and order, revelation and initiation naturally take the place of explanation and demonstration. This hypothesis, central to the thesis, marks a radical divergence between traditional and modern thought. Popular and traditional medicines prove then to be naturally efficient, which we demonstrate in our field particularly by the role of the shaman

Testo completoIn Greece and China antique, the “onirocrity” or art of prediction by dreams, was among other things used to establish diagnoses on state of health. So, at the origin, respective medicines in these two groups took into account of dream-imagery to bring to light such or such symptom. For example, the Classic of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Huangdi Neijing or Pound of the Yellow Emperor, expose some propositions on this pathological expression within the dream. Moreover, the recent researches on dream-lucidity seem to show that the partial workmanship of the dream and the action which can be led around the dream or within the dream would have an influence positively on the psychological state or even on the state of health, participating in the good re-establishment of a person convalescent or hospitalized by the suites of an accident. Certain Chinese traditions, Taoism and internal alchemy born in China as well as the Tibetan yoga of dream and sleep imported from India have already shown the sublimating power of the dream and its capacities of transfiguration of the being. Our thesis aims to synthesize these various ancient and modern, Chinese and western approaches, concerning diagnosis and therapy by the dream, in order to expose what could constitute the foundations of "Onirotherapy". The bases of this onirotherapy comes down in the consideration of the imagery based on the five elements and their chromatic, emotional correspondences, etc. If this dream-imagery – reflection of the energetics – is already wholly appropriate in auto diagnosis, transformation of this imagery could again constitute a means to restore energy equilibrium. If it is evident that the onirotherapy cannot set up itself as autonomous therapy or be considered as medicine in full measure, it could turn out on the other hand to be very useful as supplementary and precautionary therapy. In that way, lucid dream can be used to protect ourselves of minor diseases and to participate in healing
Billes, Eric. "L'ouverture extérieure chinoise : de la Chine à une grande Chine ? : une étude du fait sino-transnational". Grenoble 2, 1999. http://www.theses.fr/1999GRE21012.
Testo completoThe subject of this thesis is to study the nature and the scope of china's open door policy. The external politics of china, originally, based on chinese definition of economic nationalism, are legitimated by the "raison de regime". These politics are reflected by a relative realization of liberalization and decentralization reforms. These are characterized by a strong patriotic orientation. Thus, if we consider the economic and financial power of compatriots of hong kong and taiwan and the remarkable position of the chinese overseas communities within singapore. Thailand, malaysia, indonesia and the philippines, the "southernalization" of foreign direct investment and foreign trade flows covers, under an apparent nationality, the reality of a sino-chinese orientation. The chinese origin of the patriotic managers ensures, without any doubt, a "specific local relational positioning" of the patriotic company. An inquiry realised in china shows that these firms follow, generally, "glocal strategy" in short or medium term, based on these specific concurrential positionings. These strategies, mainly determined by costs, are oriented towards international markets and/or domestic local markets. In a more macroeconomic perspective, the patriotic orientation of china's open door policy leads to a new definition of the "continental equation" but also to a recomposition of the whole "chinese question" in greater china terms (china, hong kong and taiwan). If taiwanese patriotic direct investment can contribute to reinforce the economic and political links between the continent and taiwan, this could therefore also serve the great chinese ambition of the end of this century the greater china

Testo completoThis paper is interested in the specificities of Chinese cyberlanguage and a new language activity: interactive writing, in the field of Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. We introduce the phenomenon of Chinese cyberlanguage from the linguistic and cultural angle, which proves to be a vivid and rich linguistic landscape with burst of the neologisms, the néographismes and the landslides of grammar. We discuss the Chinese language of cyberspace in interactive writing through the textual and paratextual analysis for discovering its discursive, pragmatic, interactional and cultural aspects. We discuss also the specificities and the presentations of the virtual identities of the Chinese cybercommunity. The analysis of corpus has a didactic purpose: the emergence of the new activity “interactive writing”, which is the final key of this paper. In light of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, we have discussed its place in the teaching of languages and its influence on learning, teaching and assessment of teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. Because of the specificity of writing of Chinese language, this activity deserves a profound debate on every aspect of Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language

Testo completoBotanic drugs including those used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) have a long history of treating cardiovascular diseases, of which endothelial dysfunction is well established as a risk factor. In literature there exist extensive reports about the clinic and healthy benefits of botanic drugs or preparations to the cardiovascular system. Botanic drugs particularly those with potent antioxidative capacity have also been reported to protect endothelial cells (EC) in culture against free radicals and oxidants. However, there is little research about botanic drugs in the context of wound healing and tissue regeneration. This thesis studied four botanic drugs recorded in TCM to explore their effects on vascular EC growth and angiogenesis, two events actively involved in wound healing and tissue regeneration. In the first part of the thesis, human umbilical endothelial cells (HUVEC) were cultured in the presence of different doses of astragalus powder extract, astragalus injection, puerarin injection, and proanthocyanidin. Among the four drugs, proanthocyanidin showed a potent effect on cell viability and stimulated cell growth in a dose dependent manner. Outside the effective dose range proanthocyanidin was either ineffective or cytotoxic. Importantly, the proanthocyanidin under test was able to maintain a cell viability comparable with the cells supplemented with the commercially available EC growth medium at both low and normal serum conditions, which suggests the potential of proanthocyanidin as an EC growth stimulator and an angiogenic reagent. In the second part of the thesis, mechanistic studies were performed by blocking both endothelial cell growth factor receptors (VEGFR) and epithelial cell growth factor receptors (EGFR). However, the blockers were ineffective in reducing the stimulatory effect of proanthocyanidin on EC. Therefore it is concluded that proanthocyanidin stimulates EC growth through membrane receptors other than VEGFR and EGFR. In the third part of the thesis, it was shown that proanthocyanidin could be loaded into polyvinyl alcohol cryogel and then released from the gel at a concentration within the effective dose window. This demonstrated the feasibility of drug releasing of proanthocyanidin. Finally, the angiogenic property of proanthocyanidin was tested in chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) model, showing that this botanic drug was capable of stimulating vasculature development. Preliminary data in rat subcutaneous model also support the angiogenic potential of proanthocyanidin. This thesis therefore demonstrated for the first time that proanthocyanidin was capable of modulating the activity of human EC and in particular upregulating EC activity and growth in the absence of growth factors, and that proanthocyanidin may be used as an angiogenic reagent and released from a synthetic drug carrier. Consequently, this thesis has demonstrated that botanic drugs in traditional medicine may be used as substitutes of protein products to maintain cells in culture and to induce angiogenesis for wound healing and tissue regeneration.

Testo completoModern graphimages (shūxiàng) are a new contemporary artistic creation, a non-figurative art elaborated from symbols, images, writing and figures that should be distinguished from the abstract art as well as from the Chinese calligraphy. By analysing the work Humanity • Signs • Space (Rénwén • fúhào • k̄ōngjiān), this thesis shows that modem graphimages are an innovation while being based on the traditional Chinese aesthetic, on the Chinese calligraphy theory and also on the Western contemporary art. It is a new concept based on symbols and images. A historical analysis also proves that the modem graphimages fall under continuity, and, for the first time, shows, and thus, in an objective way, the existence of the Chinese graphimages throughout the Chinese history, in other words, it shows the existence of a long lasting Chinese non-figurative art

Testo completoThis thesis focuses on intersinography, a concept built on the "interlanguage" model, to characterize the learner’s "intermediate" knowledge of writing in a foreign language. We study the dynamics of the development of graphic competences in French-speaking learners of Chinese as a foreign language. We address a crucial question for didactics and learning Chinese (Mandarin). Unlike languages written in an alphabet system, the development of the graphic skills necessary for writing Chinese characters is partially distinct from the learning of spoken Chinese. This is obviously due to the nature of Chinese logograms. Mastery of reading and writing in Chinese requires specific pedagogical processes, distinct from those of oral language.Little work has been devoted to the development of graphic competence in a foreign language, in particular to sinography. This thesis is based on a study of the mastery of graphical execution. In order to draw up a list of non-conforming graphic productions, we have built three corpora among learners of Chinese as a foreign language: a corpus of writings from adolescents (the adolescent corpus), a test for diagnosing written competency (the 100-character test), and a general-use corpus of character writings (the general graphic corpus).Following our quantitative and qualitative studies (follow-up of individual evolutions), and validated by statistical analyzes, we propose a method of teaching called the "sinographic tree (字树, zìshù)". In the age of the digitization of information and knowledge, this thesis proposes unique reflection on the teaching of the sinograms

Testo completoHenri Maspero (1883-1945) was one of the eminent figures in international Sinology during the first half of the 20th century. It is certain that his life and the work he conducted in Sinology throughout his lifetime deserve this entire study dedicated to him. Born into an intellectual family, Maspero already showed interest in the Orient during his high school years. After studying at the Faculté des lettres and the École des langues orientales vivantes, he became a researcher at the École française d’Extrême-Orient. The years spent in Indochina marked his life significantly from both an academic and personal standpoint. In 1920, Maspero returned to Paris to succeed Édouard Chavannes as the Chair of Chinese Studies at the Collège de France. This return was both geographical and academic. Since then, positioned at the convergence of Chinese and Western academic currents, on one hand, he delved into Chinese academic tradition to strengthen his research; on the other hand, he continually applied new perspectives and methodologies from Western academia to Sinological studies, thus producing outstanding results in numerous fields related to China, such as history, society, and religion. Although Maspero's work was often well received by Chinese scholars, it is crucial to note that the dissemination of his research during the Republican period was significantly influenced by linguistic and geographical factors, as well as the practical needs of Chinese society and academic development. The fundamental statistical and analytical work conducted towards the end of this thesis has shed light on the enduring value of Maspero's studies today

Testo completoWith the development of the human history, the exchange of various nations' civilization is strenthened, which indicates a trend of fusion. However, we should realize that the difference of various nations' civilization will exist for a long time. The characteristic of the Chinese and the western culture were taken in shape on the initial stage of them during the pre-Qin and the ancient Greek period, displaying in their products - the myths and the legend. We compare the difference and the similarity of the values which the Greek myth reflects and the values which the pre-Qin reflects. We conclude that the essential characteristic of Greek myth is primacy of deities, advocacy for fight and contention, the essential characteristic of pre-Qin myth is primacy of people, advocacy for peace and harmony. The basic difference between the Western culture and the Chinese culture is that the former advocates contention while the later advocates harmony. Therafter we analyze the reasons which lead to the difference and the similarity of the two myths in the viewpoint of social history practice
Gao, Zhuo. "La création pianistique chinoise et son utilisation éventuelle dans l’enseignement". Thesis, Paris 4, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013PA040127.
Testo completoThe aim of the thesis is to study Chinese pianistic creation as a new art form imported, the process from the beginning and development since 1915 until today. The art of piano was a boom in China, it is still little known in the West. This work is rooted in the field of chronological history, music composition and its possible use in teaching practice through statistics and analysis of all Chinese piano works to present the overview of the discipline. The problem of our subject is to clarify the approximation and the hybridization between the influence of Western music theory system and traditional factors Chinese cultural. With these first elements, our research specifically addresses periodization, the elements of musical language, type and materials of Chinese pianistic creation and attempts to highlight the significance in intercultural Sino-Western. In addition, the exploration of the spread and the teaching value of this creation is our purpose based on the recent situation in China, which binds to the curriculum and examinations amateur level and in particular education Chinese piano works. All these analyzes allow us to engage in a more general reflection on the relationship between the creation and its use in education in China

Testo completoThere are differences between the Chinese works and the occidental works on the literary dream. The differences of the two civilizations affect the interpretations of the dream and their literary functions; the common points, especially the divergence taken from their interpretations and their literary functions make part of the two civilizations and display, between other elements, their different characteristics. The literary dream constitutes, therefore, an aspect of one civilization as in the other one. In my study which is essentially thematical, the establishment of a type of the dream in the ten categories allows the construction of the parallelism of the two vertical lines. The analyses have been developed around the subject and been led to this: the Chinese literary dream is philosophical, political, moral, poetical, delivered and pragmatic; however, the occidental literary dream is more spiritual, metaphysical, poetical, evasive and aesthetical
Lin, Chuan Hua. "Le rôle du fleuve dans le processus de l'urbanisation : étude des villes fluviales en Chine". Thesis, Paris Est, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PEST1145/document.
Testo completoFor the transformation process of the report city / river, three periods are defined by French researchers: that of the commercial city, that of the industrial city and that of the city in the post-industrial transformation (or city of tertiary sector). However, the chinese river cities have the specifics in the trace of evolution : there exist no trade orientation in the beginning of the time called "trade period", or the industrial revolution at the time of industry; it use the Western model as major reference for development of service functions at the time called "the service sector". Our research is built around two main hypotheses: first, the report city / river in China passed through the three states that characterize the historical development of western cities, but the dynamics of urbanization was born and has adapted to its specific context; secondly, with the introduction of foreign models, the Chinese river towns operate an original interpretation to suit their own economic and social contexts, the reference of external methods in the service of internal logic. In addition, we want to analyze the main issues and actors in these three stages in China. There are two common characteristics called pragmatism and dirigisme: first the dictatorship of pragmatism (the river is still considered a "useful tool") and secondly determining the effect of the actors. The most important are the state and direction of city, who have largely determined the path of evolution of functions and forms of river. Our thesis has three main parts addressing the three phases of the evolution of the city / river: the concession period, between 1840 and 1949, the era of reconstruction of China, between 1949 and 1978, and then the period of the Opening from 1978 to today. Four cities are chosen for field of research after an initial study: Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Tianjin. In light of these studies, the diversity of issues related to the theme of the use of the river during urbanization is highlighted. Understanding the mechanism of interaction between foreign models and the internal logic allows us to establish a theoretical relationship between cities and their river, especially on the river's role in the process of urbanization in China

Canada and Quebec are searching for a large number of immigrants to ensure their demographic, economic and social development. That is the case in the Quebec City region, where the workforce is in high demand due to the aging of the population. By observing the socioprofessionnal dynamics of Chinese skilled workers, the thesis aims to better understand their professional choice in the local labor market and their tactics used to promote their integration. This research seeks to better understand the work search path of Chinese immigrants, their decision to undertake a business project, and the place that they give to social network when they begin their creation or takeover of their company / companies. The methodology adopted in this research is based on life course, the semi-directed interview and the qualitative analysis. The network map is also used to learn about the development of the network, a strategy adopted by Chinese immigrants during the entrepreneurship process. The analysis is divided in two parts. As a first step, the different strategies to enter into Quebec’s labor market from immigrant newcomers are highlighted. Then, the entrepreneurship process and the social network development during the creation and the takeover of the company are analyzed. The trajectories and the characteristics of the individuals, their motivations to undertake a business affair, and the phenomenon of immigration in region are part of the subjects which raise theoretical questions with regard to integration, entrepreneurship and social network. This study, based on stories and interviews of participants, also reveals the diverse resources that business creators and buyers use. Finally, there are differences between creators and buyers of businesses regarding their human capital, their social networks and their ways of running the business. It is necessary for government and para-government bodies to become aware of the different needs of immigrant entrepreneurs in order to put in place policies which contribute to the development of immigrant entrepreneurs.

Testo completoFetishism is a fact but is kept silent. Traces exist in myth, ferry tale and other types of narratives. The mother goddess’s foot is sacred and objet of veneration. She has the faculty of giving birth to children. This faculty frightens men until they understand that they are co-responsible. The power of the goddess is not total ; her independence is reduced, according to the myth, when she transforms herself into a woman to be part of a man. The goddess’s foot is still sacred but it evolves in an objet of adoration. In Andersen’s fairy tale, the little mermaid takes her life into her hands in attempting to marry the prince. Foot is just a tool. In changing herself into a woman, the little mermaid sacrifices her beautiful voice to obtain handsome small feet so as to succeed into marrying the prince. Karen, the poor little girl adopted by a rich lady falls in love with her two beautiful little red shoes. She is punished for her arrogance and to put an end to her death dance has her two feet cut off. The twelve princesses dance with the twelve princes in the underground castle until interrupted by the old wounded soldier. They are all twines of Cinderella, the girl with beautiful small feet. But more so, Cinderella uses her feet as objet of love. Intentionally she looses her shoe and the prince will find it. She will marry the prince and be “happy” forever after. Do women today expect the charming prince ? Do they want to be saved ?

Testo completoOur thesis places itself in the domain of foreign language teaching. Its object is the construction of the scholastic discipline of Lingua e cultura cinese and the development of the teaching of Chinese culture in Italian upper secondary school. Based on the concepts of discipline construction and didactic transposition, the thesis develops from the observation of disciplinarisation process of Chinese language and culture teaching completed in France. The goal of the research is twofold. First, we want to show how the Italian discipline took unique shape compared to other languages and to the French context, and secondly, to show how there is a divide between the process of didactic transposition of objects to teach-teachable related to Chinese language and the corresponding one related to Chinese culture. While the former is widely developed, the objects to be taught have been identified for the latter but a reflection on how to make them teachable is still at an early stage. This process is influenced by the representation of cultural distance associated with Chinese culture, which makes the integration of the teaching components more complex. Specifically, this integration concerns cultural themes, proposed in a compartmentalized way, and the teaching of language and culture, which are not yet sufficiently connected. Finally, this shows how the integration of reference components and conceptual issues of the discipline as a whole are yet being defined

Testo completoThe thesis consists in two studies. The first one, titled "Art and religious history in China and in Central Asia" is a reflexion about these special histories: the Chinese painting and, in a large sense, the Buddhist art in "high Asia". They are here considered in successive questions:"stories" and history, the "fine arts tradition" and the history of the art, and the Buddhist historiography the conclusion of this study is that the history of the pictorial practice in China is widely dependent on the historicity of a criticism literary tradition on painting, written by and for painters and amateurs. To this relatively clear position contrasts the research on Buddhist art, particularly in Central Asia (Serindia). This world of oasis on the silk route defies the synthesis of some pertinence we demonstrate that it is, nonetheless possible to find out coherence between these sites, according to the fact that one considered the common aspects of the Buddhist doctrinal truth. The second study "time and icons" is a thesis concerns by the particular apperception of the time, as the central question resulting of the preaching of law. This pure buddhistic experience as we name it, is largely specific and original, even in the Indian cultural environment. It consists in a dramatic substitution of a temporality mode to the belief in the power of the speech or word, of brahmanical tradition. This particular temporality being nothing else that the instant, as the "essence" of the time and gift of the enlightenment knowledge. The thesis expounds that the Buddhist icons are essentially conceived as evidence testimony of the path of deliverance as well as of the presence

Testo completoThis communication aims to analyze the roles of both school and out-of-school contexts in shaping the cultural identity (Charaudeau, 2001; Plivard, 2014) of French-born adolescents with a Chinese immigrant background. Here in this communication, we will examine the impact of these roles on adolescents' choice of acculturation strategies and on their more or less successful adaptation process. An important factor to pay attention to is the characteristic of Chinese culture. While Chinese culture is often associated with values such as obedience, it does not appear to pose significant obstacles for Chinese immigrants when assimilating into French culture. But what can be said when one is shaped by the values of both cultures, which are sometimes contradictory? How can traditional values be reconciled with the demands of digital culture and globalization? This research was geographically situated in the context of Lyon and historically took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. We worked with Franco-Chinese adolescents aged 11 to 19, who come from both culturally mixed and non-mixed families. Data were collected by means of a questionnaire and an interview with a sample of adolescents from middle and high schools in two educational establishments in the Lyon region. We worked with the responses of 108 questionnaire respondents and 23 interview participants. Two profiles are observed: the linguistic profile and the cultural profile, to assess the sense of belonging of our subjects to both cultures. The linguistic profile mainly relates to language proficiency and language usage, while the cultural profile primarily investigates the subjects' knowledge of both cultures and their engagement with cultural codes. For adolescents, family and school are the most important spheres of their daily lives. They constitute the multilingual environment for these bilingual adolescents. The essential factors for the construction of their cultural identity take place within these two spheres. The influence of social relationships, with the family being the main element, is deeply ingrained in the mindset of adolescents. It should not be overlooked that school has a faster and stronger impact on their current lives. Both of them play a fundamental and significant role in the construction of the cultural identity of Franco-Chinese adolescents

Testo completoAt the dawn of the twentieth century, turning point in the intellectual and literary history to the Middle Kingdom, Lu Xun (1881-1936) is clearly the iconic Chinese writer: he is the modern author most translated outside borders, and particularly in France. Therefore it seems interesting to study, through a historical and translatological review, the almost century-old course of the work of this author in France. First, the textual and contextual research allows to open a new access road to his work and to shed a new light on the question of translation of his work. In a second step, it is to establish the panorama of French translations from 1926 to the present. Since then and still today, translations appear with the joint efforts of Chinese and French translators and, in various media publications and in a rhythm different. The reasons that these ferrymen of languages and cultures are interested in the work of Lu Xun differ greatly, mainly because of the politicization then the call for the depoliticization of the writer. Indeed, we will see that the "translators-introducers", the official interpreters, the supporters of political ideology and those who stick are far from aim the same translation purposes. Moreover, their translation projects differ from one another due to the evolution of translative thought and literary exchanges during near a century. Finally, the different trends will be highlighted through the comparative analysis of translations that update the issues and challenges of the style of Lu Xun. We ask, in this regard, to what extent and by what strategy the dynamism of textuality can be transmitted in the target text

Despite lot of clinical investigations, few data are available on mechanisms involved in their effects. Interesting results have been published in stroke patients, and experimental studies using MLC601 and MLC901 have been conducted in mouse focal ischemia models. The multiple mechanisms of action, neuroprotective and neuroregenerative, of these treatments have been highlighted. The purpose of our study was to analyse the neuroprotective and neuroregenerative actions of MLC901 on rat global ischemia and traumatic brain injury models. In these models, we confirmed the neuroprotective action on necrosis, apoptosis and oxidative stress and the neuroregenerative action by the way of neurogenesis activation. These cellular actions are associated with functional recovery in the two models. We confirmed in these two experimental models, the neuroprotective and neuroregenerative effects of MLC901 on post ischemic or post traumatic brain injuries. This approach is essential for Traditional Chinese Medicine to be accepted by occidental one

Testo completoRelying mainly on field materials and historical documents, this study examines the tradition of Daoist ritual masters; one of the liveliest religious traditions in South China since the Song Dynasty (960-1279). It is a tradition of exorcism which borrowed many elements from Tantrism; but it is also well integrated into Daoism while revealing subtle relations between Daoism and popular religion. From an ethnographic perspective, ritual masters are an important group of ritual specialists in western Fujian in Southeast China. From a historical point of view, among contemporary ritual masters, we can find many elements that date back to antiquity. Thus the making and mastery of soldiers of the invisible world for exorcising evil beings to save the people is a characteristic feature. The tradition of ritual masters has played an important role not only in the daily life of the people, but also in regional socio-cultural processes. In this regard, the present work studies a myth of “magic warfare” between ritual masters and evil spirits that has found its place in a context of ethnic conflict in western Fujian. It also examines a cult of ritual masters which gave the opportunity for different groups to express their understandings regarding legitimacy, as well as ordination rituals and rituals to hide human souls from evil spirits, that is, life rites which contribute also to the construction of community life

Testo completoJijiupian, currently named Jijiuzhang by the Chinese calligraphics, is a rhymed glossary, which contains around one thousand various words reflecting the brilliant civilization of the Han. It will be used as pattern of the cursive writing zhangcao, so that this glossary is important in the history of the elementary education as well as in the history of the lexicography or the calligraphy. The two major versions of the glossary, each other separated by two centuries, show two levels of the Chinese writing, before and after the publication of the Xu Shen's famous dictionary Shuowen jiezi. The study, which uses the results of both archeological research and comparative philology, contains a comprehensive history of the transmission of the text, a critical edition, a translation with abundant notes and rich iconography, a presentation of its most famous prefaces, a study about the iterative characters of the Jijiuan, a table of the old rhymes and an alphabetical index of the occurrences

Testo completoIn this research study, we will explore the learning characteristics of students of different cognitive styles of secondary education in China. Several studies, including our latest research, have highlighted the fact that students of different cognitive styles have manifested different learning characteristics. In our previous work, we noted that mathematical knowledge is essential for the learning of statistic. Meanwhile, Chinese students off different studies showed different cognitive styles. Moreover, some studies have shown the characteristics of generalization in Chinese student learning process which refers to the characteristics of Chinese language learning. Since all Chinese students do not study in the same context and the development of cognitive styles are closely linked to socio-cultural adaptation, we are interested in the relationships between the three elements that are respectively the cultural context, mathematics learning and cognitive styles. Thus, as a continuation study, this thesis focuses on the mathematics learning characteristics of the Chinese high school students of different campus and different cognitive styles. In this thesis, we aim firstly to validate the results that are revealed by different researches of different cultural contexts. Secondly, as the selection of students of each campus is based on the national competitions that play a key role in determining the school context, we are specifically interested in the field dependence-independence cognitive style as well as the reflexivity-impulsivity cognitive style as the characteristics of the two types of cognitive style are, theoretically, closely related to the competition context. We will explore the links between student selection and different cognitive styles. We will also see the relationship between the field dependent-independent cognitive style and the reflexivity-impulsivity cognitive style. Eventually, we will present the different mathematics learning characteristics of students of different cognitive styles and different school campus

Testo completoThis Thesis entitled "The role of representations in teaching Chinese at primary school" is in keeping with the field of learning a foreign language. It tries to account for the means of representations of the Chinese language induced within educative deployment requiring some contents as learnings, teachers, educational methods and social players. These representations depend also on the process that mould the linguistic uses of Chinese in the world. The Thesis observes their role to question the way of teaching Chinese to the children. The introduction relatively recent of the Chinese language into the scholar syllabus of the primary school and the promotion of Chinese language as lingua franca for the future show the importance that societ y attaches to this learning. This Thesis’s chapters are inscribed on a double bounds. On the one hand, we have tried to analyze from an educational point of view the links between the representation of Chinese language and the existing practices which are too often unthought. These practices are jointly carried out by the Chinese teachers and by teachers of Chinese as second language. On the other hand, we draw on the empirical material necessary to this analysis as part of the increasing role of Chinese as international language in the context of the growing importance of China in the heart of globalization

Testo completoIn the hospitality industry, service failures are almost inevitable. To avoid the undesirable consequences, researchers and practitioners have concentrated on the effectiveness of failure recovery. Despite that various of research models exist in empirical studies, customer behaviors like exiting or spreading negative WOM even after recovery efforts remain unsolved. As an attempt to answer the research question:In the hospitality industry of China, to which extent satisfaction recovery can be explained by client attributions and expectations (dis)confirmation? Why do customers who accept service recovery still leave the service provider or do something that is not good for the service provider? This dissertation proposes a conceptual model based on attribution theory, expectation-disconfirmation paradigm, justice theory. It relies on two key concepts (customer attribution and recovery expectation), and displays five hypotheses in three set of relationships: (1) the influences of service failure on customer attribution, the influences of customer attribution on recovery expectation and, the influences of service failure on recovery expectation; (2) the influences of the difference between customer recovery expectation and obtained recovery on customer satisfaction after recovery; (3) the influences of customer satisfaction after recovery on behavioral intention. And then, according to “matching hypothesis”, we explore the relationship between the type of service failure and the type of customer recovery expectation; and find some mismatch between recovery expectations and obtained. To achieve research objectives, we targeted customers who claimed to have had unpleasant experiences with hotels in the past six months. By means of an online questionnaire, we have collected 318 valid responses and analyzed the data with SPSS25.0. The results show that (1) customer attribution statistically significantly mediates the effects of service failure on recovery expectation; (2) the difference between recovery expectation and obtained recovery affects satisfaction after recovery; (3) customer satisfaction after recovery affects behavioral intentions; (4) types of recovery expectation are influenced by types of service failure; (5) obtained recovery differs from recovery expectation to some extent, mainly because of “hotels not giving appropriate compensations” or “customers receiving undesired compensations” – such “mismatch” or “difference” affects the effectiveness of failure recovery and customer satisfaction after recovery. The findings provide insights for marketing academics and industry practitioners to better understand the role of customer attribution and recovery expectation in service failure and service recovery process. Therefore, more localized and more satisfying marketing strategies are to be expected in the Chinese market

Testo completoThis doctoral thesis analyzes the current teaching and learning models among languages that were, and still are, in contact with the Chinese script, and that retain this influence in their modern lexicon : the sinogramic languages. This thesis asserts that such a course can be designed through a complete didactic reformulation of how to teach sinograms, not only in their graphic dimension, but also their phonological identity, in order for the student to imagine pronouncing a sinogram in the target-language according to his/her understanding of an already acquired 'bridge-language'. The thesis is divided into three parts. First, there is an epistemological discussion of the European approach to Chinese language and script, with the sole graphic - «ideographic» - focus, which shadowed traditional phonological practices. Next, the design of an alternative approach is proposed in which sinogram-based learning is not rooted in the so called concentrated approach, according to which sinogram types are selected in order of their frequency and adaptability within the contemporary lexicon. This alternative approach is discussed based on the training of the sinogramic system as a whole: the global approach. Finally, the main process for mutual understanding, which is called sinogramic transposition, is introduced to show how students can be trained to understand and produce readings of sinograms in the target-language

Testo completoClaude Simon and Yu Hua’s fictions abandon the traditional mimetic representation of reality. Their works, which reexamine the memory of events in the History of the 20th century, are not aimed at restoring the past by means of a chronology and a sequential linking of cause and effect. The personal life experiences of Claude Simon and Yu Hua led them to reflect on the value of writing in the face of the violence of the century’s disasters, and to question the validity of a so-called realist literature pretending to re-establish the order of the world which is in reality radically chaotic. The elusive and obsessional character of History requires the writer to set off in search of new forms, and to elaborate a transfiguration in his literary objectives. Thus, the chaotic or even fantastic experience of time, the obsessive figures of ancestors and the father, the excess of eroticism or blind violence, as well as all the disorders in the narration and the strangeness of the language, all come within an attempt to speak of a past which can only be evoked obliquely. The importance of History in the diegesis and in the genesis of their works refutes a certain type of criticism which identifies these works with formalism. This visceral connection between History and fiction also shows that contemporary literature, marked by a spirit of rupture, goes beyond nihilism and in its own way realizes an ethical value

Testo completoSisyphus, the exemplary figure of hybris in Greek mythology, and Jingwei, the bird symbolizing the sublime of human will in Chinese mythology, share common myths in their mythic narratives: the transgression of death, cyclical action and the vanity of effort. The aim of this thesis is to examine the convergences and divergences between the Sisyphus myth and the Jingwei myth, using a mythocritical study combined with a hermeneutical approach. The didactic reading, whether it's the teaching on measurement in the Greek and latin authors' interpretations of the myth of Sisyphys, or the lesson on the power of human will in the first rewritings of the Jingwei myth, is in fact about the same mental reality: the human disposition of excessive self-assertion, whose different treatments in the two literatures reveal the cultural specificities of each. As mythology is a reservoir of literary motifs for poets, both myths are called upon and transposed in analogous thematic expression: the construction of an imaginary world, the expression of sentiment, the allegorical use as a counter-model for human actions and the exaltation of heroism. Through an analysis of the tendency to rehabilitate the two figures in contemporary literature, we can conclude that these two myths, marked by the mytheme of cyclical action, are a metaphor for the human desire to surpass oneself, and that their rewritings over time address the different facets of this desire. The tension between the invincible impulse to go beyond the limit and the rational awareness of the vanity of this attempt, which is inherent in this metaphor, is manifested as much in the occidental authors' criticism of acts of excess as in the ambivalent attitude that accompanies the heroic reading of the Jingwei myth. The complexity of this tension in the Chinese cultural context, which is based on a different conception of how to act, leads to a skewed reading of Camus's Myth of Sisyphus. The praise for Sisyphus's capacity for habituation in the novel The Four Books is an eloquent example

Testo completoWhat is the relationship between thought, language and writing ? How does this relationship exist in literary works? That is the question we want to answer through this dissertation. Ideographicity and plasticity are the two main characteristics of the ideographic writing system. The former consists in the structurality of this system, and the latter in its materiality and its gesturality. Firstly, a study on writing theories and systems has been carried out, in order that the two characteristics in question can be better understood. Then follows a textual and graphic analysis of the three poetic texts, namely “Stèles”, “Idéogrammes en Chine” and “Cent phrases pour éventails”. “Stèles” is a text of ideographicity, while the two others are texts of plasticity. In fact, it is also a question of interaction between diverse discourses ─ for example, visual discourse and verbal discourse

Testo completoMarguerite Duras (1914-1996) is a contemporary writer of classical value in the 20th century French literary field. Based on the full and accurate data in France and China, synthesizing several literary research methods such as text analysis, psychoanalysis, parallel and effect analysis, this paper explores the relationship between Duras' writing and Asia and then makes a further analysis of the acceptance and influence of Duras' works in China. Starting from her works and its cultural root, it aims to reveal the tremendous effects of Asia on the writer. Simultaneously, the representations of Asia in Duras' works can be regarded as both the starting point for us to translate, accept her works and the crossing point between varied literary trends and many writers in current China. The acceptance of Duras' works' in China facilitates not only the new understanding of her writing, but also provides new modes of thinking to interpret some literary phenomena and fashion in China

Testo completoWith the development of the economy and the expansion of globalization, certain educational reforms took place, take place, and will take place in many countries, of which France and China, with an aim of converging towards the job market. Side of Europe, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union had proposed a notion of the “common base of knowledge and competences” supported on the idea of “key competences for education and the training throughout the life”. During the course of these considerable reforms, the didactic of the languages was also touched. Designs mainly developed around the propositions of the Council of Europe precisely implemented, since the years 1990, a instrumentalisation of the language, and lead to a disappearance of the subject considered as a principle élément of the act to learn. With regard to China, deep reforms of higher education began all at the beginning of the 21st century. They relate to the transformation of the concept of education, to the adaptation of the objectives of the formation of learners to the economic evolutions of the society, and to the rationalization of the disciplinary courses in specialized institutional milieu. The educational world, and perhaps especially the teaching and learning (hereafter T/L) of the foreign languages, cannot keep aways from the world of profession any more. On the contrary, they must, like other sectors, to confront themselves with competition and to adapt to the social request which is in constant evolution. Under the former regime of planning, the T/L of the foreign languages in the superior academy in China had aimed main aim to train specialists in language intended for the literature, linguistics, the diplomacy or the cultural exchanges. Nowadays, a good amount of universities of languages chose to train specialists in language who know at the same time perfectly a foreign language and a disciplinary speciality associated with the international exchanges like the economy, the trade, business management or the right. These reforms are greeted by certain like tje answer of the challenges of globalization, denounced by others like a process of marketisation of the knowledge. My research project takes as a starting point a conference “the subject in the context of globalization: speech and practical in the didactic one of the languages and teaching” organized in January 2012, and it also takes supports on a research project entitled “the evolution - in the context of globalization – in the relation with the knowledge in higher education: for a comparative perspective french-Brazilian”. The objective of this project is to wonder about the consequences of these changes on the relation with the knowledge especially as regards the didactic of the foreign languages, amongst other things the T/L of French in China, and the conception of the subject which they convey. How the students/teachers/institutional persons in charge consider the knowledge? What means to learn for them? What is it position of the teacher? What is the subject who learns? Which subject will they educate by applying the new reform? From these questions, I will study the impacts of thses evolutions of the relation with the knowledge to the subject learner

Testo completoThis thesis focuses on the Influence of Chinese management soft power on African skills development. The fundamental research question is: how were Africans who studied in China influenced by Chinese soft power? Have they developed managerial skills like Chinese managers or entrepreneurs? To answer these questions, the first article offers a synthetic perspective of the works done on China-Africa between 2014-2015. Based on this literature review, Chinese investments in Africa, the actors, and motivations, mode of entry, impacts and management challenges were analyzed in the light of theories in international management. This review offers new perspectives for exploring Chinese investments in African countries and contributes to the body of knowledge on Sino-African relations. In the second article, due to the growing integration of the two regions, a comparison of managerial practices between China and African countries was made. The purpose of this article is to facilitate this understanding through a critical analysis of the literature. Based on our analysis, some similarities and divergences related mainly to management foundations, managerial styles, networking and entrepreneurship were identified. The third article analyzes, through acculturation theory, the influence of Chinese culture on the managerial practices of Africans trained in China. Based on multiple linear regression, this article analyzes not only the effect of acculturation on the development of entrepreneurial capacities but also the moderating role of networking on the different on acculturation. As for the last article, it makes it possible to identify the managerial and entrepreneurial capacities developed by Africans during their stay in China. Using an interpretive methodological approach and based on the Soft Power theory, the themes that emerge from the cognitive repertoire of African managers and that reflect the capacities developed are: network development, risk-taking, optimism and pragmatism. The results of this study provide new perspectives for the exploration of Chinese soft power in Africa. They show that China does not only influence through aids, investments, economic model, etc. but it also inspires many countries due to its management ideas known as Chinese Management Soft Power.
