Office Supplies and Stationery (ATK) are equipment that is often used in offices, companies and organizations, include cabinet filling, perforators, calculators, paper clips, staplers, numerators, guides, flashdisks, paper punches, pens and paper, paper shredder, computers, printers, facsimile machines, photocopiers, archive folders and cash registers, office furniture. Supplier is part of the supplier chain that influences the development of a company. Problems that are often experienced by PT. PLN Engineering such as late arrivals and lack of quality equipment and stationery from suppliers, therefore it needs to be re-ordered or returned to suppliers, so that time is wasted. Storage of data on procurement of equipment and stationery that are still conventional so that it is not effective and efficient in terms of time, cost and energy, let alone supplier selection which is still subjective. The purpose of this study makes it easier for competent parties to make decisions at PT. PLN Engineering in selecting the best supplier to be consistent in maintaining the determined criteria so as to minimize the risk and not disappoint the company. Incorrect supplier selection affects the quality and costs incurred in buying equipment and stationery from suppliers, how to overcome them requires a decision support system (SPK) that is able to accurately select the most suitable supplier. The method of Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) combined with fuzification is the right method for evaluating the best suppliers. The most important criteria are Price of Goods, Quality of Goods, Delivery Time, Location Distance, Goods Packaging, Accuracy of Goods, Flexibility, Track Record. The conclusion of the test results is the SAW method is able to show that the ranking of the best suppliers with the highest value of 0.89 is UD. Bintang Mulia.

Abstract (sommario):
The development and installation of new process equipment in production plants typically require strong collaborative efforts by a process firm and its equipment suppliers. However, existing knowledge about how such supplier integration and open innovation practices should be organized and managed is scarce. The purpose of this investigation is therefore to explore how process firms can organize and manage supplier integration and open innovation practices when developing and installing new process technology. By means of a literature review and a case study of two process firms, a lifecycle perspective on procurement is adopted. Our results show that the process firms utilize different interconnected cooperative procurement procedures in different stages of the equipment's lifecycle, in order to enhance integration both in buyer-supplier dyads and among the suppliers in the project network. The contributions of the paper are summarized and illustrated in a developed lifecycle-based procurement model that guides practitioners in organizing and managing supplier integration and open innovation practices.

Abstract (sommario):
One of the most important attributes to manufacturing is product quality. It relates to the historical rejection rate during a period of time of the products delivered to the customer. Rejection is due to deviations from specifications in the raw material supplied by suppliers, process design, and the quality control of the manufacturing process. The non-conforming parts can be detected during incoming inspection or during work in process. With regards to this, the standardization and maintenance of process equipment are of prime importance in ensuring the quality of a process and the products that are derived. Cost is another important attribute of the product as it affects the bottom-line. In this regard the competence of the supplier of raw material to design, develop and launch products within specifications becomes imperative in a manufacturing process. In the current competitive environment, it is crucial to assess suppliers as good quality raw material are important in the development stage, as this can have an adverse effect on the customers response. Supplier flexibility involves the response time when engineering changes are needed during the development stage. As a result, research and development activities are used to initiate and measure the ability of the supplier to provide support during the process. It is an important attribute as most products, after launching, demand continuous improvement to remain competitive. Procurement of materials and equipment is considered the first step in supply chain management of many companies. It is also broadly known that the performance of suppliers directly influences the company’s efficiency and competitiveness. Supplier performance evaluation is a crucial process to identify strengths and weaknesses of suppliers which can help the company to manage them. There are various supplier performance evaluation methods. In this study process quality of the existing system of producing steel shafts for an automotive industry was first evaluated and based on this study the machine was recommended for upgrading by engineering design. This was due to the process capability analysis of the machine, which did not meet the stipulated standard of 1.3 for the machine’s capability index. Although, the raw material supplied by the suppliers were within the measured confidence interval, the summary reports did not meet the required standards. In order to develop a performance evaluation system of the suppliers of raw material to the company, four main-criteria, may be developed, namely: quality, delivery, service, and flexibility. Statistical analytical studies performed during the process on five selected suppliers of raw material showed that the most important criteria of the process metrics was machine performance, followed by quality of suppliers in terms of the supply of raw material. Based on this study, the relationship between the quality of the supplier, the performance of the machine and the specification to the consumer may be assessed.

Abstract (sommario):
Box Sterilization is an innovative product designed as a tool to sterilize equipment and objects to prevent the risk of transmitting Covid-19 through contaminated objects. The Box Sterilization product has components that must be supplied from the supplier. One of the components needed from the supplier is a UV lamp. Currently there are two suppliers of UV lamp suppliers, there are AHCD Medan and Toko Utako. The company must take a decision to determine which suppliers are included in the alternative selection criteria. The company determines three variables which are the atribute of the criteria, there are price, quality and service, while for the sub-criteria atribute there are 6 variables, there are price compatibility, shipping costs, conformity of supply to specifications, ability to provide consistent quality, delivery service and supply warranty. The decision making for the supplier selection is done by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach. The purpose of this study using the AHP method is for the company to be able to determine the priority of the attribute criteria, sub-criteria and alternatives to the selection of UV lamp suppliers for Box Sterilization. Based on data processing using AHP, it is found that the main priority for the criteria atributt is Quality, while the main priority for the sub-criteria atributt is the ability to provide consistent quality. Based on AHP analysis, it can be concluded that the most appropriate supplier of UV lamp suppliers for Box Sterilization is Medan AHCD supplier.

Abstract (sommario):
The purpose of the work is to study the properties and characteristics of the object of research - a diversi-fied enterprise, one of the main areas of its work is the design, production, modernisation, repair of con-struction equipment and machinery, and to offer approaches and tools to ensure product quality. To study the properties and characteristics of the enterprise, the requirements and conditions for organizing and con-ducting audits of product suppliers at a construction enterprise, including the delivery of the DRV-001 water dispenser spray, are considered. The goal of the requirements is to improve the quality of products and reduce their cost. Also it justifies the need for a risk-based approach in order to support the strategic level of construction enterprises management. A study of the capabilities and resources of the enterprise during the audit of suppliers was carried out. It is recommended to pay attention to the issues of minimising the cost of construction enterprises products, which is well linked to the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015. With a reasonable approach, this allows the supplier to provide key benefits. On the basis of the conducted re-search, it has been established that at the present stage of the industry development, using just “classical”, well-known standards, like ISO (GOST R ISO) of the 9001series, is not enough to ensure the required level of quality. To ensure high performance indicators of activity, the top management of the enterprise should pay considerable attention to the quality of the supplied products (services provided) from external suppli-ers. If this technique is adopted, the potential supplier would be able to minimise the cost of the produced components and to keep this competitive level within the specified indicators.

Abstract (sommario):
Chemical industry plays a pivotal role in the economy in every country. As chemical hazardous materials are usually characterized as inflammable, explosive, toxic, corrosive, and carcinogenic, if accidents happen in chemical company it can lead to irreversible environmental and health damage to the public. The chemical industry attaches great importance to safe production, technical professionalism, and service standardization. Nowadays, under the trend of equipment maintenance service outsourcing in chemical companies, the selection of maintenance suppliers with safe and sustainable records come first and foremost in the supplier selection process. However, these concerns from the chemical industry are currently inadequately addressed by most general supplier selection models. Therefore, this paper proposes an applicable methodology for selecting and evaluating equipment maintenance suppliers in the chemical industry, compatible with a safe and sustainable production context. To achieve the goal of “safe operation and sustainable development in the future”, we established an evaluation criteria framework for equipment maintenance suppliers by combining the general supplier selection criteria and safe production characteristics together. Eight main criteria and 24 sub-criteria based on market acceptance, resource conditions, and safe production were included. Then a fuzzy TOPSIS model was presented to select the best equipment maintenance service supplier. Finally, by analyzing a case in W petrochemical company, the empirical results indicate that the proposed framework is of great practical value to select and evaluate equipment maintenance suppliers for safety and sustainable development in the chemical industry.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose Although prior research provides evidence that production ramp-up is often disrupted by supplier-related problems, it fails to discuss how the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and various types of suppliers integrate their functions and operations to secure preparations for production ramp-up. The purpose of this paper is to investigate OEM–supplier integration in a new product development (NPD) project to prepare for production ramp-up. Design/methodology/approach The results presented in this paper are based on a real-time, longitudinal study of a single collaborative NPD project in the mechanical engineering industry. The NPD project involves seven suppliers and it is carried out in a large Swedish company (the OEM) and fits the theory-elaborating approach of this research. Findings This study argues that the aspect of timing in OEM–supplier integration, the OEM’s research and development (R&D) attitude toward collaboration and the OEM’s (R&D) operating procedure are challenges affecting the preparation for production ramp-up. The following three mechanisms to facilitate OEM–supplier integration in order to prepare for production ramp-up are also discussed: the mediator’s role, the OEM’s face-to-face meeting at the project level and suppliers’ formal face-to-face meetings with the OEM and internally. Originality/value This paper elaborates on and extends prior research on production ramp-up by conducting an empirical analysis that incorporates supplier integration in NPD. It bridges the gap between the literature on production ramp-up and on supplier integration in NPD and clearly indicates that supplier integration is an important prerequisite for successful production ramp-up.

Comparing with others, the supply chain of nuclear power plant (NPP) has its special characteristics, which not only on product safety, but also on the life cycle of supplier as well as requirement of environment, the selection of the appropriate supplier requires independent evaluation index system. For these reasons, based on establishing an evaluation index system, an integrated framework is proposed to approach the supplier selection problem in NPP supply chain systems utilizing analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and improved technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS). Then the ranking of the suppliers are determined according to their results. Finally, for application and verification, an empirical study is performed to demonstrate the integrated model and identify the suitable supplier(s).

Abstract (sommario):
Based on the analysis of import flows of the Asia-Pacific (NEA-3 and ASEAN) in the period 2015–2021, it is shown that a stable commodity-geographical structure of supplies has developed in the region. About half of the volume of imports in USD falls on computers, communications equipment, parts and components used in their production; mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes; iron ores and concentrates. At the same time, there is a high level of interdependence of mutual trade flows within the region. Such an import structure is based on the complementarity of the supply and demand of the Asia-Pacific countries. It is shown that only the USA, Australia and Saudi Arabia are large-scale external exporters for ASEAN+3. Of the traditional exports of the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD), only fuel and energy products had a stable niche with a steady but small-scale demand for fish, forestry and metallurgical products. Thus, for the NEA-3 countries, the Russian Federation was an important supplier of energy resources, and Japan and the Republic of Korea got about half of fuel and energy products from the Russian Far East. Russia was also the largest supplier of fish and seafood for China and the Republic of Korea. Moreover, almost all Russian exports of fish products to the ASEAN+3 countries were supplied from the FEFD. Despite the fact that since 2007 the Russian Federation has gradually increased export customs duties on round wood, which had strong demand in the region, during the study period, Russia remained a key supplier for China, and for Japan it was in the top ten. Approximately 25% of Russian exports of wood and articles of wood to the Asia-Pacific were supplied from the Russian Far East

Abstract (sommario):
AbstractAs a benefit of modularization of complex systems, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can choose suppliers in a less constricted way when faced with new or evolving requirements. However, new suppliers usually add uncertainties to the system development. Because suppliers are tightly integrated into the design process in modular design and therefore greatly influence the outcome of the OEM's products, the uncertainty along with requirements satisfaction of the suppliers and their modules should be controlled starting from potential supplier identification. In addition, to better satisfy new requirements, the potential supplier identification should be combined with architecture generation to enable the new technology integration. In this paper, we propose the Architecture & Supplier Identification Tool, which generates all possible architectures and corresponding suppliers based on new requirements through matrix mapping and propagation. Using the Architecture & Supplier Identification Tool, the overall uncertainty and requirements satisfaction of generated architectures can be estimated and controlled. The proposed method aims at providing decision support for early design of complex systems, thereby helping OEMs have an integrated view of suppliers and system architectures in requirements satisfaction and overall uncertainty.

Subjective decision making can lead to errors in supplier selection. In the selection of suppliers, the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) Department has difficulty in choosing suppliers, because many suppliers have submitted offers of cooperation. Therefore, we need a supplier selection decision support system so that the OEM department can determine the appropriate supplier in purchasing products, services and materials. This decision support system uses the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method where this method is used to overcome existing problems, because there are many alternatives and criteria that must be considered in supplier selection such as legality, quality management, production capacity, production quality and innovation. From the tests carried out by comparison through Microsoft Excel and the web-based SAW program at PT Avo Innovation Technology using 13 data suppliers to test system performance. It was concluded from the test that the percentage of system performance was 100%, so that this system could be implemented in the company.

AbstractIntroduction:Reports of medical care at mass gatherings reflect variability in mission and delivery models. Equipment recommendations are similarly varied. Thoughtful pre-planning and experience-based analysis are the best mechanisms for defining general and specific equipment recommendations. Objective:This report presents a suggested supply and equipment list developed over a six-year period of medical coverage at an air show, with an emphasis on the usage and cost of expendable supplies. Methods:The authors were involved in the planning for and execution of emergency medical care for a large, local, military air show on an annual basis, including provision of expendable medical supplies. A list of such supplies was developed over the initial two to three years, formalized and refined over the subsequent two years, and analyzed in the final, highest patient volume year of coverage. Detailed usage and cost was tracked over the final year for expendable supplies. Results:The results of this analysis indicate that comprehensive emergency medical care from first aid to mass casualty care can be offered at reasonable equipment and supply costs, if existing equipment resources can be supplemented by expendable supplies from a pre-determined list. Given the need for large quantities of supplies for a mass casualty contingency and the low likelihood of occurrence, a loan arrangement with a supplier, with return of unused supplies, is particularly convenient and economical. The approach used in this study should be appreciable in other similar settings. In concurrent scheduled events, the iterative process described can lead to greater specificity of needs for expendable supplies.

Abstract (sommario):
The period of industrialization and modernization has increased energy demands around the world. As with other countries, the Taiwanese government is trying to increase the proportion of renewable energy, especially solar energy resources. Thus, there are many solar power plants built in Taiwan. One of the most important components of a solar power plant is the solar panel. The solar panel supplier selection process is a complex and multi-faceted decision that can reduce the cost of purchasing equipment and supply this equipment on time. In this research, we propose fuzzy MCDM approach that includes fuzzy analytical hierarchy process model (FAHP) and data envelopment analysis (DEA) for evaluation and selection of solar panel supplier for a photovoltaic system design in Taiwan. The main objective of this work is to design a fuzzy MCDM approach for solar panel supplier selection based on qualitative and quantitative factors. In the first step of this research, FAHP is applied to define the priority of suppliers. The AHP combined with fuzzy logic (FAHP) can be used to rank suppliers; however, the disadvantages of the FAHP model is that input data, expressed in linguistic terms, depends on experience of experts and the number of suppliers is practically limited, because of the number of pairwise comparison matrices. Thus, we applied several DEA models for ranking potential suppliers in the final stages. As the result, decision making unit 1 (DMU 1) is the optimal solar panel supplier for photovoltaic system design in Taiwan. The contribution of this research is a new fuzzy MCDM for supplier selection under fuzzy environment conditions. This paper also lies in the evolution of a new approach that is flexible and practical to the decision maker. It provides a useful guideline for solar panel supplier selection in many countries as well as a guideline for supplier selection in other industries.

Abstract (sommario):
The application of data mining technology in power field mainly focuses on the application of power defect text and dispatching text. However, the power operation and maintenance data contains a lot of information about power equipment suppliers. Taking the operation and maintenance text involving power equipment suppliers as an example, this paper summarizes the theme of operation and maintenance text and studies the evaluation model of power equipment suppliers. The next sentence prediction analysis model of single round dialogue text based on transformer bidirectional encoder prediction and cosine similarity weighting is proposed, which can effectively divide the topic of dialogue text. Aiming at the semantic richness and complexity of power operation and maintenance text, a supplier evaluation model based on text emotion analysis is proposed. Based on the expansion of the entries and attributes of the existing power ontology dictionary, the dialogue emotion analysis rules are established to realize the normal evaluation of power equipment suppliers.

Abstract (sommario):
In recent years, the strategic selection of the most suitable supplier within the supply chain has garnered increasing attention. Incorporating vital criteria like sustainable development further complicates this decision-making process. Companies and manufacturing facilities recognize the pivotal role of suppliers in their overall success and aim for mutually advantageous partnerships. Establishing long-term relationships with suppliers can yield benefits for both parties. However, supplier selection is intricate, often transpiring within an environment of limited information. Consequently, evaluating and selecting organizational suppliers necessitate methodologies yielding more dependable and pragmatic results due to the uncertainties inherent in expert judgments. This study introduces Supplier Life Cycle Value (SLV) criteria for extended partnerships with suppliers and sustainability metrics for selecting “industrial equipment suppliers”. The Hierarchical Best-Worst Method (HBWM) is then applied to determine Sustainable Supplier Life Value (SSLV) criteria weights. Subsequently, employing the PROMETHEE-GAIA approach, suppliers are systematically ranked and comprehensively analyzed. To account for the inherent uncertainty in expert judgments, this study incorporates fuzzy numbers enriched with probability and reliability parameters (Z-Numbers) by introducing novel verbal spectra for supplier evaluation. This facilitates more effective decision making in supplier management. The findings underscore the significance of considering the supplier’s longevity beyond economic metrics, emphasizing the importance of sustained supplier participation. Moreover, the varying outcomes across definite and fuzzy scenarios, accounting for reliability (Z-Numbers), underscore the impact of data uncertainty on decision making. Given that fuzzy numbers incorporating reliability (Z-Numbers) encompass the confidence probability within the unclear number, they offer a more robust and realistic representation of real-world scenarios.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to understand and measure empirically the objective and perceived dimensions of supplier-induced complexity in supply chains. Design/methodology/approach An equal-weight, complementary mixed-method approach is used to investigate supplier-induced complexity and understand its impact on outcomes. Initial qualitative research and extant literature review allowed the identification of supplier characteristics that add complexity to supply chains and development of four research hypotheses. Subsequently, quantitative analysis was used for testing the hypotheses. Findings The results suggest that supplier-induced complexity is related to adverse outcomes, and both perceived and objective dimensions of complexity are valuable in understanding and measuring supplier-induced complexity. Research limitations/implications This study employs a mixed-method approach to establish and test relationships among perceived and objective supplier-induced complexity, and their outcomes. The unit of analysis is the first-tier suppliers of one farm equipment manufacturing firm. This limits the generalizability of the results to similar industrial manufacturing firms. Practical implications This paper presents an approach to identify suppliers that add the highest levels of complexity to a supply chain and, thus, require closer monitoring. Specific supplier characteristics are identified for individual suppliers. Developing specific complexity-related measures helps better identify critical suppliers compared to traditional approaches (e.g. ABC analysis). Originality/value This paper contributes to supply chain management literature by comprehensively exploring supplier-induced complexity, incorporating the often-ignored perceived complexity dimension, and providing a managerially useful framework.

Abstract (sommario):
Relational view argues that buying companies should integrate supplier resources in new product development (NPD) projects to realise competitive advantages. Due to decoupling of modules and the associated opportunity to allocate development activities to upstream suppliers, modular product architectures are considered to be a driving factor for the integration of supplier resources. Module developments are associated with substantial investments, long-term orientation and risks across product families for the buying firm. Therefore, supplier integration for module development is highly critical. Regardless of the relevance, research has not yet analysed, which supplier competence are considered as antecedents for successful module developments with suppliers. To close the identified gap, this paper analysed case companies from the automotive, agriculture equipment and rail vehicle industry. Technical, organisational and relationship aspects are identified as critical success factors. The results contribute to theory by adding to relational view the finding that competences for successful collaborations differ in accordance to the level of interaction between suppliers and buying firms. Moreover, this study provides a model and an evaluation scheme that helps practitioners to allocate the best suitable development role to suppliers within module developments.

Abstract (sommario):
The integrated energy system is the mainstream energy utilization form of integrating a power system, natural gas system and thermal system, which provides a new way to solve the problem of renewable energy accommodation. The integrated energy system includes a variety of energy generation and conversion equipment, and its internal electricity, gas, cooling and thermal systems must balance the multiple energy supplies required by users. The integrated energy supplier (IES) and integrated energy user (IEU), as different stakeholders, pursue the maximization of their own profit. However, integrated energy suppliers should consider their market share and the sustainability of participating in market competition. Based on the constraints of energy access, conversion and accommodation, and the equipment for energy generation, conversion and consumption, we established an energy flow model. Constrained by the dynamic equilibrium of the supply of integrated energy suppliers and the demand of integrated energy users, a Stackelberg game model of integrated energy suppliers and users was established, and the existence of a Nash equilibrium solution of the game was proved. A genetic algorithm was used to solve the Nash equilibrium solution under two conditions aiming at the integrated energy supplier’s maximum profit and target profit. Considering the demand of integrated energy users in different time periods, we analyzed the time-of-use pricing strategy of the integrated energy based on the balance of the energy supply and demand. The results of a case study show that if integrated energy suppliers adopt the time-of-use pricing strategy of maximum profit, the energy load distribution of integrated energy users can be smoothed, and energy utilization and economic benefits of the system can be improved. If integrated energy suppliers adopt the time-of-use pricing strategy of target profit, enlarge the market by limiting their own profit and obtain the purchase willingness of integrated energy users by reducing the energy price, they can have a larger market share, a more reliable profit and a guarantee of long-term participation in market transactions.

PurposeThe goal of this study is to investigate how the development efficiency of restaurant companies' products of their suppliers, supplier–supplier connection, design quality and adaptation affect the supply chain performance (SCP) of restaurant companies.Design/methodology/approachWe use the stratified random-sampling method for this study. We mailed the research questionnaire to the managers in the cases where they could be identified; a total of 1,063 questionnaires were sent by mail and a useable response of 156 fully completed questionnaires was received.FindingsWhen the supplier has good development efficiency of restaurant companies' products, they can comply with the requirements of the budget project, and then, finally adapt to the restaurant companies to strengthen mutual relations of coexistence; suppliers with a good connection can make restaurant companies willing to go along with them.Research limitations/implicationsThe limitation of this study was that the different types of suppliers were not compared, and some restaurants without scaled operations may have different effects on the result.Practical implicationsThe supplier–supplier connection is established when the suppliers or companies have generated important decisions. The suppliers will cope with the restaurant companies to make the delivery procedure more unhindered and invest in highly specialized equipment in the relationship and finally, improve the SCP.Originality/valueThis study focuses on the restaurant companies in partnership: how to cooperate with the suppliers to make good supply efficiency, and thus enhance the SCP of the restaurant companies. Overall, the results of the study have provided reliable instruments for operationalizing the key effect constructs in the analysis of operational performance.

Abstract (sommario):
Supplier selection for defence procurement is a crucial function of a Ministry of Defence. The Ministry spends huge amounts of money each year to procure a vast array of equipment, goods and services. The ongoing financial crisis demands less subjective and more cost-saving methods for selecting a supplier. The approach advocated in this article integrates Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with Goal Programming (GP) in order to combine conflicting criteria to select the best suppliers and allocate optimum order quantities among them. This paper presents a model close to real-world situations. Findings demonstrate that cost savings is a feasible result along with a viable combination of conflicting criteria in the suppliers' selection area.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper deals with differences between the declared and actually supplied volume of round wood, which can be seen in the sawmill log yards in taking log deliveries. These differences usually mean the losses for the suppliers. Authors focus on the length accuracy of supplied logs. They start with a comprehensive manual checking of log deliveries (2639 logs) and with calibration of electronic measuring equipment (238 logs) made by an accredited laboratory. Authors analyse the origins of the differences, they quantify the volume “voluntarily” given by the suppliers in the form of oversized allowances and the volume of the losses caused by classifying the logs to a lower length group if the necessary allowance lengths are not observed (the volume is counted using e.g. 1 m shorter nominal length). The term “extra allowance” is introduced for allowances longer than wanted, and the dependences among the length of extra allowances, log diameter, volume of extra allowances and number of logs with too short allowance are defined. Losses caused by both of these defects (over- or under-sized logs) are counted and compared. If the log length value is exactly the required one or close to it (it means nominal length and required allowance), the measuring equipment can still measure a lower value because of the required precision of 1 %. Losses are also caused by reclassifying the logs to a lower group. Suppliers cut the logs longer (make “extra allowances”) to ensure that the volume calculation is based on the right nominal length and not shorter. The research shows big differences between particular suppliers and their losses caused by extra allowances or reclassification of logs. The authors searched the optimum allowance in order to minimise the losses of the supplier. The results of the analysis give the following recommendations: for suppliers who do not use harvesters for felling and logging, it would be preferable to supply round timber in tree lengths due to the volume lost by reclassification. Today, however, this is not possible in most cases because large customers buy only logs because of technological reasons. Another aspect is the price, which is usually higher for raw material in logs. In the production of logs, it is preferable to increase the required 2 % allowance by 4-5 cm, if it is possible to produce the logs relatively accurately. If accuracy cannot be maintained, it is preferable to increase the allowance to about 7 cm (e.g. mountainous terrain, poor quality and curved timber, lack of experienced staff).

Abstract (sommario):
The global political and economic situation in recent years has had a significant impact on many areas of life, including healthcare. The sanctions imposed against Russia have become a real challenge for the participants of the medical equipment market, causing a number of problems that both manufacturers and consumers of this equipment have to overcome. In this article, we will look at exactly how the sanctions affected the market of medical devices, and what prospects are opening up for the Russian medical industry in the field of import substitution. Look at the China from the point of view of a supplier of medical equipment under sanctions. We will describe the main ways of cooperation with chinese suppliers: from finding a specific solution in China to localization of production in Russia. Let's highlight the subtleties that exist when working with manufacturers from China. In order for the topic to be fully disclosed, here is a list of the largest manufacturers of medical equipment and gadgets for the medical industry. According to the author, in the conditions of a shortage of Western equipment and restrictions in the maintenance of existing equipment, it is necessary to pay attention to the east. China as a global manufacturer of materials, components and finished products can help replace some of the equipment, and eventually completely displace Western technology.

Abstract (sommario):
With the advancement of information technology and economic globalization, the problem of supplier selection is gaining in popularity. The impact of supplier selection decisions made were quick and noteworthy on the healthcare profitability and total cost of medical equipment. Thus, there is an urgent need for decision support systems that address the optimal healthcare supplier selection problem, as this problem is addressed by a limited number of studies. Those studies addressed this problem mathematically or by using meta-heuristics methods. The focus of this work is to advance the meta-heuristics methods by considering more objectives rather than the utilized objectives. In this context, the optimal supplier selection problem for healthcare equipment was formulated as a mathematical model to expose the required objectives and constraints for the sake of searching for the optimal suppliers. Subsequently, the problem is realized as a multi-objective problem, with the help of this proposed model. The model has three minimization objectives: (1) transportation cost; (2) delivery time; and (3) the number of damaged items. The proposed system includes realistic constraints such as device quality, usability, and service quality. The model also takes into account capacity limits for each supplier. Next, it is proposed to adapt the well-known non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA)-III algorithm to choose the optimal suppliers. The results of the adapted NSGA-III have been compared with several heuristic algorithms and two meta-heuristic algorithms (i.e., particle swarm optimization and NSGA-II). The obtained results show that the adapted NSGA-III outperformed the methods of comparison.

Purpose – To analyze current and potential servitization strategies, from the perspective of rural producers in the West of the Brazilian state of Parana in relation to its inputs and agricultural equipment. Design/methodology/approach – The study has a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on interviews with rural producers who work in grain production and use products and services related to the supply of inputs for their crops. Findings – Managerially, it was found that producers did not show exclusive loyalty to a certain brand of equipment or agricultural input, but consider the offer of after-sales services and quality technical assistance in the decision. New services demanded by producers were identified and these services may favor purchasing products from the same suppliers. There are gaps that allow exploiting opportunities in terms of servitization, given that not all services that were expected to have been supplied, were supplied by suppliers. Originality/value – This study stands out for its analysis of servitization from the point of view of rural producers in relation to suppliers of agricultural machinery and inputs. It identifies new opportunities in the greater use of technologies, greater transparency and sharing of technical knowledge, improvement of technical assistance and post-sales service at more affordable prices. In this article, the author elaborates on the structure of the purchase and rental of arms and other equipment used in United Nations peacekeeping missions. Moreover, the author determines the place of the Russian Federation in this process. The objectives of the work are to identify weaknesses in the system of procurement and rental of arms and other necessary equipment by the United Nations peacekeeping forces, determine the place of the Russian Federation in the system and draw up a single step-by-step instruction, Includes an analysis of pre-qualification requirements for the supplier, the UN Supplier Code and various levels of registration with a list of required documents, for registration of suppliers and the participation of the latter in international competitive bidding. Disadvantages of the system of purchase and lease of armament and other equipment necessary for implementation of UN peacekeeping missions have been revealed, imbalance in supply of lethal weapons between the countries of the collective West and the Russian Federation has been found. A number of scientific publications, both domestic and foreign, are devoted to peacekeeping. It follows that the relevance of the article is due to the little study of the structure of procurement and rental of weapons and other equipment used in UN peacekeeping missions.

Abstract (sommario):
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), when focusing on their core business, outsource non-essential processes to their supplier base, a strategy that makes them dependent on their suppliers’ performance. The purpose of this paper is to propose a practical roadmap based on the post-relevant supplier development practices, barriers to be avoided by the managers, and critical success factors identified by the literature reviewed and in five Brazilian companies in the automotive segment. Although supplier development (SD) is widely acknowledged, there is no roadmap to guide the organizational managers when applying it. The roadmap aims to direct managers' activities when developing their suppliers to obtain better results. The method used was a qualitative research and its strategy was a multiple case study with an exploratory character. Data collection was obtained through a semi-structured interview. The research identified 17 relevant practices of supplier development. These practices of supplier development identified by the literature reviewed, coupled with the manager's speech, have enabled the researcher to figure out an empirical roadmap to assist organizational managers in planning and conducting development actions on their supplier base in a structured manner. The results obtained by the managers' speech indicated that OEMs want creative and innovative solutions from their suppliers to be applied to the new generations of their vehicles, far beyond the products or services usually delivered until now. Another important result for the successful supplier development was the top team’s commitment to implement the changes resulting from development practices combined with a preventive rather than corrective posture.

Abstract (sommario):
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in South Africa are under pressure to meet the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) policies and charters of the South African government by giving BEE suppliers additional opportunities to tender. However, many BEE suppliers, due to being historically disadvantaged, experience various problems which make it difficult for them to win tenders, including lack of finances, opportunities to tender and management and business skills, and problems with quality and capacity. This paper outlines these practical problems experienced by BEE suppliers, the effects of these problems on risk and complexity in the South African automotive industry and policies that address these problems and assist BEE suppliers to become A-rated suppliers. Data for the paper was obtained from interviews with: senior employees of the AIDC involved with supplier development training; middle managers of supplier quality and development departments at the three OEMs in the Eastern Cape Province; and BEE and small suppliers identified to undergo AIDC training. The findings of the study are that unless sufficient training is given to BEE and potential BEE suppliers, supply to OEMs will remain in the hands of existing established suppliers and very little transformation will occur within the automobile industry in South Africa.

Abstract (sommario):
One of the main directions of logistic support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is medical support which is aimed at life safeguard and health of military personnel, well-timed and efficient provision of medical care in the event of injuries, injuries and diseases, fast renewal of combat power and ability to work in different conditions of its handling and at different period of time. The readiness of medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the medical support of the troops depends on the well-timed organization of medical supplies and the refilling of medical supplies full and complete. The qualitative and efficient allocation of medical equipment and medical supplies is a determining factor in this process. The aim of the work – reasoning of the irregularity of distribution logistics in the unified logistic system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the study of the main aspects of management of the distribution of medical supplies from the position of military pharmaceutical logistics. To get the purpose of the research, the analysis of domestic scientific sources and the current normative and legal base of Ukraine have been carried out. Research methods are: information search, comparison, systemization, semantic analysis, synthesis and modeling. In the conditions of logistic support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the security and defense forces of Ukraine, the logistic function of the distribution of logistical equipment, inventory, military equipment and services (food, bath and laundry services, etc.) should ensure the activity of troops (forces) in peacetime and war time. It is the guarantee of the ability to ensure the defense of the state and appropriate response to military threats to the national security of Ukraine, efficiently using available potential and resources. Distribution logistics from the position of military pharmaceutical logistics is the management of all functional subsystems of the medical supplies and health services of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in order to optimize the distribution of the material flow (purchased medical supplies) from the supplier to the final consumer (according to the applications of the Military Medical Clinical Centers of the Regions). Same, distributive logistics in the structure of a unified logistic support system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not carry a commercial component, and its functions consist in planning, organization of distribution, control and regulation of the logistic process of distribution of material and technical means (including medical equipment and supplies), inventory, military equipment, services (catering, bath and laundry service, etc.). According to the authors, the term «marketing logistics» is not possible to use as a single system of logistic support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and in its subsystems. To sum it up, it was suggested to use the term «distributive logistics». On the basis of theoretical generalization of the data of scientific literature and normative legal acts, the main aspects of management of the distribution of medical equipment and supplies from the standpoint of military pharmaceutical logistics are studied. The functions of distributive logistics are defined, the model of the current logistic chain of distribution of medical equipment and supplies in the medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is constructed. It is noted that in order to ensure the qualitative and efficient distribution of medical equipment and supplies, a regulatory and legal framework which regulates the division of powers between institutions and units of medical supplies and defines the responsibility for their implementation in the current conditions of the reformation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Abstract (sommario):
The use of high-quality raw materials will affect the quality of products produced by a company. Companies really need suppliers who can supply quality raw materials. This can be realized by selecting the most appropriate supplier so that the company can minimize problems that can occur regarding raw material suppliers. PT True Indonesia is a manufacturing company that produces music equipment bags. So far, the company has made decisions in choosing suppliers only with the intuition of the parts related to the procurement of these raw materials. The decision chosen by the company in determining this supplier is often not right. The problems experienced by the company are the quality of raw materials that do not meet the company's criteria and the supplier's delay in sending raw material orders. In this study, the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) method was used. There are 7 main criteria in choosing a polyester fabric supplier, namely quality, delivery, price, communication system, warranties and claim policies, performance history, and geographic location. From the calculations carried out, the best polyester fabric supplier ranking for PT True Indonesia in order, Tongxiang has a total value of 0,3395, Hantron has a total value of 0,3350, PT. Lambang Jaya has a total value of 0,3340, PT. Shinta Indah Jaya has a total value of 0,3174, and CV. Agung has a total value of 0.3116.
