Abstract (sommario):
The equipment and technology characteristics of endless strip production line in Rizhao steel were analyzed and the achievements of endless strip production in Rizhao steel were illustrated with detailed productive data in 2017. The achievements of endless continuous casting process was introduced from the aspects of the mold level deviation, the casting speed and the tundish temperature. The achievements of endless continuous rolling process was described from the rolling length, the mechanical properties and the microstructure at different position along the width. The achievements of endless continuous casting and rolling process was discussed from the product qualification rate, the yield rate, the thin strip ratio, the accident rate and the energy consumption. The productive practice of endless strip production (ESP) shows that the longest number of continuous casting furnace reached to 15 heats (4500 tons), the longest rolling length in single casting period was 182 km, the qualified rate of products was up to 99.73%, the yield rate was up to 97.51% and the thin strip ratio had a maximum value of 40.57%. At the same time, its accident rate was below 2.02% and its energy consumption was less than 27.26 kgce·ton-1. These achievements indicated that the ESP line in Rizhao steel had the advantages of low cost, good performance and green manufacturing, so the endless rolling technology will be rapidly promoted and the hot rolled thin products by ESP will further expand the market.

Abstract (sommario):
ABSTRACT Following infection, the physical state of linear herpes simplex virus (HSV) genomes may change into an “endless” or circular form. In this study, using Southern blot analysis of the HSV genome, we provide evidence that immediate-early protein ICP4 is involved in the process of converting the linear HSV-1 ICP4-deleted mutant strain d120 genome into its endless form. Under conditions where de novo viral DNA synthesis was inhibited, the genome of the ICP4 deletion mutant d120 failed to assume an endless conformation following infection of Vero cells (compared with the ability of wild-type strain KOS). This defect was reversed in the Vero-derived cell line E5, which produces the ICP4 protein, suggesting that ICP4 is necessary and sufficient to complement the d120 defect. When ICP4 protein was provided by the replication-defective DNA polymerase mutant HP66, the genomes of mutant d120 could assume an endless conformation in Vero cells. Western blot analysis using antibody specific to the ICP4 protein showed that although the d120 virions contained ICP4 protein, the majority of that ICP4 protein was in a 40-kDa truncated form, with only a small fraction present as a full-length 175-kDa protein. When expression of ICP4 protein from E5 cells was inhibited by cycloheximide, the d120 virion-associated ICP4 protein was unable to mediate endless formation after infection of E5 cells. Collectively, these data suggest that ICP4 protein has an important role in mediating the endless formation of the HSV-1 genome upon infection and that this function can be provided in trans.

Abstract (sommario):
The project we embarked on is making an electronic robot that can deliver a package along a set route through infrared sensors. It uses the infrared sensors to determine if the path it is following is correct or if it is off course. This is determined by sending off a photon to reflect off the path and determines if it is on a light surface by the amount of light emitted back or if it is a dark surface by the amount of light that is not present. In addition to following a line, the user can stop and start the robot at any interval through the infrared remote control. The project is a combination of the practical parts of machinery with the software part of coding in Arduino which is a coding subsect of C++. This can lead to endless possibilities that could help a wide variety of people from all ranges of life, especially with those that live with disabilities.

Abstract (sommario):
Backett’s characters continue onwards the vain pursuit of destination because they have no alternative but to go on. This is the way of life that no one can cure the pains of life, so they must be endured. Man is struggling with the jest of humanity and is constantly trying to make sense of his own existence as a human being. Estragon addresses Vladimir, “we always find something, eh, Didi, to give us the impression that we exist?”(Beckett,60) It seems as if human being cannot be beyond this mere impression of existence. It is the winding wheel of time that induces uncontrollable restlessness and anguish in the characters, such that they, without inhibition go on moving directionless and tread the dissolving line between remembering and forgetting, between past and present, between happiness and sorrow. Shorn of vitality, they are constantly haunted by the past and its, present manifestations in the form of reminiscences regrets and yearnings.

Abstract (sommario):
In order to make a comprehensive comparison between ultra-thin hot rolled low carbon steel (LC) and extra low carbon steel (ELC) produced by endless roll technology and explain the differences, a detailed investigation into the microstructural characterization, characteristics of cementite and precipitates, mechanical properties, internal friction peaks, texture characterization by an X-ray powder diffractometer and electron backscatter diffraction, and formability including earing behavior, hole expanding ratio and V-shaped bending properties was carried out with different carbon content for 1.0 mm thickness ultra-thin hot rolled strip produced in endless strip production line. The experimental results indicate that the microstructure of both is composed of multi-layer areas with different grain sizes and thicknesses, the strength and elongation of LC are higher than that of ELC, but the content of solid solution carbon atoms and r of ELC are higher than that of LC, at the same time, the formability of ultra-thin strip ELC is better than that of LC mainly related to the content of {hkl} <110> and {111} <112> of ELC was higher than those of LC. The mechanical and formability properties of ultra-thin hot rolled strip by endless roll technology can meet the requirements of replacement cold rolled strip by hot rolled strip.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose: In this study, the asymmetrical cut of the left parallel line and the right diagonal line was examined by varying the length, angle, and slice line. Additionally, basic data on haircuts will be provided. Methods: The head region division was divided into upper and lower parts. The angle of the parallel line on the left, the right side of the right side, and the head were 25°, 50°, and 75°, respectively. The slice A (diagonal) line on the side was 25°, the parallel line was 50°, and the V (diagonal) line was 75°.Results: The one-reel angle represents smoothness and orderliness. Furthermore, rough texture and arrangement represent gradation. The feeling of liveliness and rhythm appear when the head area division position is up, and the feeling of volume and weight increases when it is down. The A (diagonal) line represents maturity, maturity, and thinness, the parallel line represents plain and smooth, and the V (diagonal) line represents cuteness and youthfulness. The imbalance of asymmetrical cuts can offer freshness, mystery, vibrant dynamics, rhythm, and mystery. Conclusion: Different types of cut designs can be reborn if you abandon the same way of thinking. Based on this, it is considered that sensuous haircut designs are endless.

Abstract (sommario):
This thesis focuses a body of paintings and wall paintings initiated in 2014 and continuing to the present day. It was a pivotal year when I went from figurative painting to abstract painting based on the drawing of an endless line that never intersects. The purpose of this research is to analyze this ‘line being’ that replaced the figure, organizing itself in colored waves, folds, overlays and twists. If chance secretly directs the drawing of the line on the canvas or in situ, it acts in respecting opposing forces and notions, such as emptiness and fullness, background and form, appearance and disappearance, form and formlessness. The line is thus a pictorial version of the twisting Möbius ribbon that places the front and back on the same side. It is by this principle that it becomes dynamic and generates a cosmogony within which the wave and the fold move before bursting into color. The proliferation of the biomorphic line has given rise to creative phases that constitute my field of investigation. A painting is an “X-ray of action”. How did the line change into a wave? How does the line, by means of hollowing out and “alternate overlapping,” continue its path and open up possibilities of forms and voids? How does the sliding of paint create the illusion of movement through transparency and depth? Finally, how did the dripping gesture in painting emerge as the “being” that would become color?

Life is propelled by a type of inertia which is the tendency of people to unconsciously act upon their past experiences and personal preferences in their daily affairs, thereby developing a circle of behavior. In the process of self-searching, one discovers an “Id Inertia,” essentially the creation of the “self,” determined by this cycle of habitual and somewhat predictable thoughts and behaviors. Transcending this cycle requires self-reflection. Through a deeper perception, one analyzes the creative inertia of one’s being. And just as a plant bursts forth from a seed to start a new life, introspection brings transformation. In this work, the artist uses the creative medium of clay as a language to reconstruct the relationship between objects and the self with the objective of freeing oneself from the material constraints of life through self-awareness.

Representatives coming from all over the world gathered in the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference, regarding energy saving and carbon reduction issue, there is still no effective policy to improve the climate change. Because the amount of carbon emissions still can''t be controlled effectively, low-carbon lifestyle is much harder to accomplish in a short time, thus the issue of global warming is getting more important. The study creation is going to apply traditional paper sculpture, which constructed from deconstruction, shape, and color. The paper sculpture will be presented by 2D animation and aims to underline the global warming issue for people to reflect it in mind, which is the core value of the research. This study takes analysis of documents, case analysis and creative thinking method, which purpose is not only to assess the global warming, paper sculpture, and 2D animation but also to value the commercial applications on paper sculpture, and then take the conclusion to create the works of this research. Hope to develop the brand-new visual expression by this creation to notice people the severe damage from global warming has caused, and also for the related research to refer in the future.

Bill Viola, a master of video art, concerns about the “Life” issues of human being, creates works traversing the personal landscape of body, mind and spirit, such as the human senses, perception, consciousness, and self-awareness, etc., as to personal passions and meditations of birth and death, even the metaphysical transcendence and rebirth and ascension of the soul. In the beginning, he explored the potential of the medium video, and has been using it as a tool to investigate the phenomena of the living-world by grasping the technological nature of it. Owing to the birth and passing of his beloved ones, he has more profound realization of the connotations of life and the destination of soul. With long-term pondering and practice of the eastern and western religions, from which Viola extracts abundant spirituality without falling into any of the specific religious ideology, to create the touching oeuvre full of mysterious atmosphere, as an attempt to release the self and human beings from suffering. He is one of the less than handful contemporary video artists who make art with so-called old-fashioned religious and spiritual contents. The author investigates the development of the context of Viola’s creation which seemly reflects his endless searching and reflections of human life. With an axis of the life issues which Viola interests for a long time, selecting the representative ones from the huge number of works of Viola’s every period , the author reorganizes and connects them and tries to construct a schema of life puzzle and find out the trend of the core of the ultimate concern of the subject matter in the creation of Bill Viola.

“Color Image Composes -The Endless Story of Life” means the story never conclusion in humanity's life. The author goes using the color image to compose with the recorded experience of life. Human are born with inwardness, as well as “the seven emotions and six sensory pleasures”. The dissertation is trying to investigate this emotion base on the phase creation of source. The richness of life results from “feelings”. “Feelings” opens the imagination and the inspiration; “Feelings” stimulates the creativity and the potential of life, courage, the energy of earnest facing ourselves. Further, it brings multicolor to us. This creation is to present the feelings of life, which including personal experiences, in terms of what we see and hear in our daily stories, and creates with our own subjective cognitions. Using different color blocks, I express my own feelings. In other words, my cognition of feelings is transmitted into colors. Or using abstract content form to transform emotions into physical shapes can also be described as my imagination of unknown. Author's creation form divides into “the color block” and “the ghost” two series. By converting my abstract thoughts into colors on the canvas and generating from my design purpose and goal, my creation ideas and elements can be fully analyzed.

Road traffic crashes are one of the worst risks of road mobility worldwide, representing a huge socio-economic problem particularly in developing countries such as South Africa. In order to provide a sound economic basis for investment decisions to address this challenge, it is critical to assess the cost of these crashes. These estimates serve cost-benefit analysis inputs to facilitate a more efficient resources allocation for interventions to address the challenge posed by road crashes. South Africa has not been updating crash cost estimates on a regular basis, and those that were conducted used the much criticised human capital approach. Therefore, the available estimates could not be relied upon for planning purposes and comparison with the estimates of other countries. It is against this background that this study developed and illustrated the application of a hybrid framework for assessing the cost of road traffic crashes in South Africa. The framework uses the human capital approach and the willingness-to-pay approach in one study. Human capital approach cost estimates are needed to inform planning to maximize the national output, while the willingness-to-pay estimates are more suitable when the main concern is to inform interventions to increase social welfare by reducing injuries and fatalities. The willingness-to-pay approach uses the contingent valuation and the stated preference methods. A survey questionnaire with contingent valuation and stated preference questions was administered in two phases to a sample of 273 respondents within the transport industry. For the human capital approach, the cost estimates in the 2016 Cost of Crashes in South Africa report were adjusted for inflation using the 2017 rate of 5.3% to obtain 2017 cost estimates. This study revealed that the human capital approach underestimates the cost of road crashes. The study contributes to the body of knowledge by using the human capital approach and the willingness-to-pay approach in one study to illustrate the applicability of this hybrid/ combination within the South African context. Future research needs to replicate this study on a sample drawn from all nine provinces of South Africa, so that the cost estimates are representative of the country’s population.

Abstract (sommario):
AbstractThe fantasy of never running out of breath has long been alluring. But in the nineteenth century, the idea acquired a distinctive form of material reality. The pipe organ, existing at least from the ancient Greeks, has often been described as figuratively having lungs. But with the adoption of water/gas then electric-powered organ blowers in the nineteenth century, the organ, theoretically, could provide that which nothing else could: breath that could go on for ever. This essay explores two forms of poetic and narrative reflection on the new powers of the organ’s lungs. First, it considers writing that responded to the apparent instrument of endless breath by reinforcing the organ’s association with the eternal. Second, the essay examines writers who thought precisely the opposite and who acknowledged that, if new organ blowing technology implied unexpendable breathing, the reality—amid failed turbines, broken wind supplies, and insufficient power—reminded the listener of the grave.

Abstract (sommario):
This chapter focuses on how Vidya Bharati schools function, how they are presented by their representatives, what challenges they face, and how do they infuse the ideology outside the curriculum. Apart from describing school life, the focus is on how its chosen elements serve the purpose of a nationalist ideological agenda. This is realized through means such as school assemblies, patrons, maps, and other accents. The chapter also looks at how Vidya Bharati presents itself (through websites and publications) and how this self-image corresponds to the way in which school representatives talk of their institutions. It further examines practical aspects, such as school fees, teacher salaries, but also teachers’ RSS membership. These statistics also provide the basis for the author’s general point that the organization occupies a middle-ground position between the free market and ideology.

Abstract (sommario):
Michael Longley writes of Jamie: 'She has perfect pitch, a natural sense of cadence and verbal melody that helps to give her work the feel of organic inevitability'. Longley flies close to the heart of his own work, revealing their shared aesthetic practice, central to which is the idea of poetry as dialogue. This chapter tunes in to Longley and Jamie as poets in conversation with each other, across boundaries of nation, time and space, and not merely at the level of shared subject matter, but more profoundly at the level of poetic technique and formal concerns. Both are poets of the singing line and both are shifting, sea-faring poets crossing sound- and sight- lines in their endless probings of words and worlds. Both engage with and extend the limits of the lyric, in particular the sonnet form, and in the work of both the energies of translation lie at the core of the artistic enterprise. Jamie and Longley see into the life of poetry as an act of conversation, an art of conversion.

Abstract (sommario):
John Ashbery’s self-declared preference for the middle and the debt to Hölderlin form the context for reading select poems from Where Shall I Wander (2005). The source of their anxiety is not the expanse on the other side of death, but the endless gaps opened up in the middle of things—not fini-tude, therefore, but medi-tude. Moving between Ashbery’s “The New Higher” and Hölderlin’s translation of Pindar’s “The Highest,” the reading explores what both have to say about relation, voice, and subjectivity. The poetic self is, they propose, constituted by addressing and turning to the other, but such acts seem to never arrive at their destination. We dwell instead in the spaces of the in-between: the caesura, the comma, the stutter or the sudden division of a line. Symptoms of perpetual delay and deferral, they also represent the life of poetic address as the infinite, restless movement of desire.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract Everywhere it was a time of waiting. Cold and despair gnawed at the peoples of the Old World, where the winter of 1916-17 clung cruelly, as apparently endless as the war that had gripped Europe since August 1914. Men had then gone eagerly to battle, expecting swift victory. But two and a half years of fighting had killed five million of them. Those still living waited wearily in the frigid early months of 1917, hoping for peace. Since the scything sweep of the German armies through Belgium and France had been stopped at the River Marne in September 1914, the Great War in Europe had settled into a grisly stalemate. Slanting from the Channel to the Swiss frontier, an unmovable line of battle had congealed across northern France.

Abstract (sommario):
Offshore structures have been the backbone of the energy industry for a long time. But questions remain about how much strain, displacement, settlement, and other variables affect the various elements of the Offshore structure. How are these variables verified and compared to design loads? By mathematical and finite element methods only? With rapidly advancing sensor technologies, Offshore energy leaders have, out of necessity, started introducing advanced technologies like Smart Structures’ Embedded Data Collectors (EDCs) for reinforced concrete pile foundation elements, as well as sensor technology for external contact monitoring on steel elements. How can EDC technology transform the integrity of Offshore structures? EDC technology involves the use of embedded sensors located inside structural and sub-structural elements, along with a wireless radio transmitter and laptop software to analyze data. On a number of projects by Smart Structures, sensor packages have been embedded in the harsh environment of concrete casting in numerous ways commensurate with the nature of superstructures and substructures. After the concrete sets, the concrete elements, embedded with sensors, are transported without damage to a construction site and installed. EDC further enables long-term remote acquisition of measured data and the real-time transmission of the data from an in-service structure through an IoT-based cloud system. This technology offers endless possibilities to connect and integrate with a host of IoT devices and a host of platforms for many applications with multiple data-gateway options. Potential smart sensor technology applications in offshore structures include: jack-up rig spudcans, legs, jack-house assembly, and pinions; wind turbine structure foundations, mooring-line suction piles, superstructures, bridges and various monopod structures. This paper discusses the potential for the broader application of EDC technology, already in use in surface transportation infrastructure, to the offshore energy industry. It enumerates multiple benefits related to real-time measured data.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper describes the process of automatic identification of concepts in different languages using a base that relies on simple semantic and morphosyntactic characteristics like string similarity, difference in words amount and translation position on dictionary (when exists) and a neural network that has been used as a model of machine learning. All experiments use data that was obtained from a few categories of Read The Web (RTW) project and an endless learning computation system called NELL: Never-Ending Language Learning. The results were compared with dictionary and showed that the introduction of neural network brought a significant gain in the process of equivalence of concepts.

Abstract (sommario):
The article reveals the topic of the connections of the famous artist Heinrich Vogeler with the KASSR. Heinrich Vogeler visited Karelia 4 times between 1925–1936 and was fascinated by the nature of the harsh region, located in the north-west of the Soviet Union: its endless forests, blue lakes, perennial rivers with their waterfalls and rocky shores. However, the main theme of the artist's watercolors and drawings, who fell in love with Karelia, was the people who built a new socialist society, the beauty of their souls, hospitality and cordiality. Heinrich Vogeler saw the real life of the Finns emigrated from the USA to our country and found their new homeland in Karelia with his own eyes. In his letters, he tells in detail about the beginning of a new life with special warmth and love, he writes about the inhabitants of Karelia.

Abstract (sommario):
Automated product inspection is a highly important issue in industrial manufacturing. A typical problem is the examination of structured surfaces of fabricated items in order to identify defects. Usually, one has to deal with ”endless” materials transported at high speeds, such as breadths of cloth, carpet, plastic foil, or the like. These materials possess a surface texture that is characterized by a certain global regularity but also by slight local variations of indeterministic nature. Fabrication errors can be identified as structures that violate the global regularity. An example for a common cloth texture carrying a typical fabrication error is depicted in the leftmost image of fig. 2. The examination procedure can be divided into the detection and the classification of defects. Whereas the primary goal of the detection is to localize all irregularities, the latter part refers to the distinction of different defect types.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract The purpose of this presentation is to contribute to the archetypal aspects of the transference and the countertransference through an exploration of the Christian imagery, strengthening the relationship between religion and analytical psychology. C.G. Jung thought that the transference had a key role in the healing process, allowing the doctor to take over the patient’s suffering, so it can be shared, explored creatively, and integrated into consciousness. He believed that this type of relationship could also have archetypal aspects beside personal ones, triggering projections such as the saviour complex on the side of the patient and identifications with the wounded-healer on the side of the therapist. Building on Jung’s and the post-Jungians’ insightful remarks, this presentation will investigate the transference dynamics in the stories of the Gospel, drawing parallels between the analytic couple on the one hand and Christ and his community on the other. In particular, it will focus on aspects such as trust and mystery, love that heals and the endless search for wholeness, considering both episodes of healing and spiritual rebirth, like The Bleeding Woman, and of preaching and revelation, like The Road to Emmaus. KEYWORDS: gospel, transference, analytical psychology
