Abstract (sommario):
Extended activity systems analysis of the structural organization of forensic inquiry allows to educe its generic system models and to present it as a type of practical cognitive activity. Along this line of reasoning forensic research can be represented as a problem-solving process based on a level principle when an expert cyclically and repeatedly the solution scheme consistently deepens and specifcates the research. The concept of dialogic character shows its inextricable connection with the expert’s method characteristic since the content of the latter determines the corresponding types of expert activity reflected in it. Thus, it can be said that expert’s methods are an ‘action conclusion’ through the defnitions of ‘reasonable practicality’, ‘potentional realizability’ and ‘physical feasibility’ modes.

Abstract (sommario):
The article deals with the grammar category of modality in the structure of modern Spanish. The author aims to analyze the structural organization of the grammar category of modality in the Spanish language and to reveal its cognitive bases in order to form a schematic representation of this category, which in the future will allow, first of all, to solve the problem of the number of moods in modern Spanish, and also to avoid some mistakes when translating sentences from Russian into Spanish, and from Spanish into Russian as well. The usage of a functionalsemantic approach helps to analyze in details the structure of the grammar category of modality in the language and to educe its conceptual bases. Within a framework of the study the author introduces the term “field of time”. The “field of time” refers to the mentality, while the grammar category of time - to a language. The correlation of these terms facilitates to visualize the connection of the way of thinking with a language and to separate three different moods in the Spanish language, that are el Indicativo, el Subjuntivo, el Imperativo.

Abstract (sommario):
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank, malnutrition is one of the most serious but least-addressed development challenges in the world. Malnutrition refers to the malfunction or imbalance of nutrition, which could be influenced not only by under-nourishment, but also by over-nourishment. The significance of this paper is that it shows how artificial intelligence (AI) can be democratized to enable analysts who are not trained in computer science to also use human-centric explainable-AI to simulate the possible dynamics between malnutrition, health and population indicators in a dataset collected from 180 countries by the World Bank. This AI-based human-centric probabilistic reasoning approach can also be used as a cognitive scaffold to educe (draw out) AI-Thinking in analysts to ask further questions and gain deeper insights. In this study, a rudimentary beginner-friendly AI-based Bayesian predictive modeling approach was used to demonstrate how human-centric probabilistic reasoning could be utilized to analyze the dynamics of global malnutrition and optimize conditions for achieving the best-case scenario. Conditions of the worst-case “Black Swan” scenario were also simulated, and they could be used to inform stakeholders to prevent them from happening. Thus, the nutritional and health status of vulnerable populations could be ameliorated.

Kumar, Arun. "The impact of obesity on cardiovascular disease risk factor". Asian Journal of Medical Sciences 10, n. 1 (12 dicembre 2018): 1–12. http://dx.doi.org/10.3126/ajms.v10i1.21294.

Abstract (sommario):
Obesity has emerged as the most potential cardiovascular risk factor and has raised concern among public and their health related issues not only in developed but also in developing countries. The Worldwide obesity occurrence has almost has gone three times since 1975. Research suggests there are about 775 million obese people in the World including adult, children, and adolescents. Nearly 50% of the children who are obese and overweight in Asia in are below 5 years. There is a steep incline of childhood obesity when compared to 1971 which is not only in developed countries but also in developing countries. A considerable amount of weight gain occurs during the transition phase from adolescence to young adulthood. It is also suggested that those adultswho were obese in childhood also remained obese in their adulthood with a higher metabolic risk than those who became obese in their adulthood. In India, the urban Indian female in the age group of 30-45 years have emerged as an 〝at risk population” for cardiovascular diseases. To understand how obesity can influence cardiovascular function, it becomes immense important to understand the changes which can take place in adipose tissue due to obesity. There are two proposed concepts explaining the inflammatory status of macrophage. The predominant cause of insulin resistance is obesity. Epidemiological and research studies have indicated that the pathogenesis of obesity-related metabolic dysfunction involves the development of a systemic, low-grade inflammatory state. It is becoming clear that targeting the pro-inflammatory pathwaymay provide a novel therapeutic approach to prevent insulin resistance, particularly in obesity inducedinsulin resistance. Some cost effective interventions that are feasible by all and can be implemented even in low-resource settings includes - population-wide and individual, which are recommended to be used in combination to reduce the greatest cardiovascular disease burden. The sixth target in the Global NCD action plan is to reduce the prevalence of hypertension by 25%. Reducing the incidence of hypertension by implementing population-wide policies to educe behavioral risk factors. Reducing cigarette smoking, body weight, blood pressure, blood cholesterol, and blood glucose all have a beneficial impact on major biological cardiovascular risk factors. A variety of lifestyle modifications have been shown, in clinical trials, to lower bloodpressure, includes weight loss, physical activity, moderation of alcohol intake, increased fresh fruit and vegetables and reduced saturated fat in the diet, reduction of dietary sodium intake, andincreased potassium intake. Also, trials of reduction of saturated fat and its partial replacement by unsaturated fats have improved dyslipidaemia and lowered risk of cardiovascular events. This initiative driven by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, State Governments, Indian Council of Medical Research and the World Health Organization are remarkable. The Government of India has adopted a national action plan for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) with specific targets to be achieved by 2025, including a 25% reduction inoverall mortality from cardiovascular diseases, a 25% relative reduction in the prevalence of raised blood pressure and a 30% reduction in salt/sodium intake. In a nutshell increased BMI values can predict the nature of obesity and its aftermaths in terms inflammation and other disease associated with obesity. It’s high time; we must realize it and keep an eye on health status in order to live long and healthy life.

Abstract (sommario):
In recent years, one can observe great interest in such a phenomenon as thought experiments in various fields of science and philosophy. In research, they are usually seen as tools for argumentation or presentation of some theory. The author of this article will consider thought experiments instead from the point of view of use in the educational process. Also, thought experiments will be analyzed as one of the options for checking the level of understanding of some material from the educational course, which adds creativity and creativity to the educational process not only for the teacher but also for other participants of the educational process (pupils, students, graduate students). The proposed classification of thought experiments will help improve the educational process and interest in the subject. The article provides examples from the history of philosophy and science, which illustrate the importance of thought experiments for learning and emphasize their use as a tool (or skill) when working in a specific field of science. Examples of the use of thought experiments in the educational process of different countries, recommendations from international educational organizations, and the provision of a specific algorithm for their application were given. An improvement of this process, which primarily appeals to everyday experience, is proposed. Some recommendations from the work of modern logic are given for a clearer and stricter use of such reasoning as reasoning by analogy. A comparison was made regarding the attitude to the thought experiments of such scientists as Thomas Kuhn, Karl Popper, and Georg Lichtenberg. Attention is focused on using thought experiments to improve understanding of concepts and theories and increase the creative component and interactivity during all types of classes.

Abstract (sommario):
The dynamic structural changes affecting the modern university provide fertile ground for a large number of discussions on the organization of higher education. Controversy about the future of education exists, perhaps, at all levels of communication: the fundamental problems of educa- tional institutions are determined and a significant number of proposals for reforming and mod- ernizing the education system are being developed. Some observers determine the need to cre- ate a system of free learning, denying the normative nature of education, while others are trying to determine the list of canonical disciplines and great books that should be limited to students and teachers. Additional observers believe that efforts to transform the university into an effective educational organization gradually reduce the teaching process to a set of technical functions, threatening genuine learning opportunities. In the process of reforms, the idea of a university was, if not lost, then at least obscured by the modern trend for the search for hidden goals of educa- tion and programs to achieve them. As the world is replete with goals and programs, it becomes an increasingly irresistible temptation for academic institutions to submit to inevitably conflicting best practices. In this regard there is again a demand for the study of the forms of organizing higher education developed by the greatest theorists of our time. The article examines the current aspects of the discussion about the concept of education in the political philosophy of Michael Oakeshott (1901–1990). The author attempts to interpret the political theory of M.Oakeshott as a form of political education.

A call to action by the oldest nursing organization in the United States should not be ignored. In 2022, the National League for Nursing published a strategic vision statement on climate change noting that unquestionably climate change will be one of the greatest public health and health equity issues of our time because of the immense health impacts. As our health systems increasingly point their care efforts toward population health, climate change and its implications cannot be overstated. Nurses in all roles are essential to addressing the health impacts of climate change. [ J Contin Educ Nurs. 2023;54(7):297–298.]

Abstract (sommario):
Applying a holistic, integrated and experiential approach, this paper analyses the culture of head, heart and hands learning as both a challenge and an imperative of contemporary educa-tion using the descriptive method based on a review of relevant literature. Self-determination, self-work, self-organization and self-management are emphasized along with different models of learning culture oriented towards student’s holistic development. In accordance with that the paper discusses issues related to the new organization of learning and teaching and the role of the teachers, students and school community. Specifi cally, many scientists believe (Henting, 1997; Bruner, 2000; Stoll & Fink, 2000; Faulstich, 1999) that high-quality and successful changes in education can be achieved by introducing a culture of learning which espouses the holism and integrity of human beings. Such changes are especially relevant in the context of lifelong learning which integrates all three domains of learning: cognitive (head), affective (heart) and practical (hands). In this way, cognitive, affective, experiential and active learning interests are fully expressed, which bears witness to the fact that people learn, think, feel and act differently.

Abstract (sommario):
Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic created profound effects in nursing education. Using a robust academic-practice partnership, a college of nursing and a health care organization collaborated to launch Jefferson Capstone Experience (JCE), an education delivery model that included a one-to-one, 108-hour clinical preceptorship between an experienced RN and an undergraduate nursing student. Method: The expedited design, implementation, and evaluation of JCE is described. The mixed-method program evaluation included surveys, interviews, and focus groups with students, faculty, and preceptors. Results: Students and preceptors reported high levels of satisfaction with JCE. All parties emphasized the importance of clear and timely communication, academic practice collaboration, and organization. A significant number of capstone graduates accepted a position with a capstone clinical partner. Conclusion: Although the logistics of planning and implementation were challenging, an immersive and largely positive experience was created for undergraduate students, which created a robust hiring pipeline of new-to-practice nurses. Abstract (sommario):
The article examines the impact of obtaining higher education on successful employment and career ad-vancement. The universal competencies acquired by graduates of higher educational institutions (universities) significantly increase competitiveness in the labor market. These competencies and corresponding skills – crit-ical and integrative thinking, self-organization and adaptability, etc. – are developed by the higher education programs. Data from the Rosnavyk portal suggests that job advertisements that included these skills offered higher salaries than the regional average. By analyzing the dynamics of search queries, the interest of Internet users in the admission to universities was analyzed. Over the past five years, interest in obtaining higher educa-tion has not subsided, and also seasonally increases sharply during periods of admission to universities. It is concluded that despite the ambiguous data of sociological surveys on the importance of higher education, the current state of the labor market indicates that it presents one of the leading forms of investment in social capi-tal.

The purpose of the article is to show, on the basis of archival documents, the main directions of the educational process in the Kamianets-Podilskyi Pedagogical Institute, in particular the success of students, the state of educational and methodological work and labor discipline, the organization of independent work, practices, and state exams. Th e methodologi- cal basis of the research is the principles of historicism, systematicity and comprehensiveness, and problem-chronological and diachronic methods. Th e scientifi c novelty of the publication lies in the fact that, for the fi rst time, the educational activities of this institution of higher educa- tion have been analyzed based on archival materials of the foundation of the party organization of the Kamianets-Podilskyi Pedagogical Institute. Conclusions. One of the priorities in the ac- tivities of the party organization was the optimal arrangement of the educational process, which was far from easy since when organizing the educational process, the university management had to take into account directives, decisions of party congresses, and plenums and, accordingly, could not go beyond the offi cially announced party course on construction of communism. In addition, corrections had to be made, considering that students were mobilized for harvesting in the region’s collective farms and state farms in the fi rst months of the academic year. Work was carried out to improve teaching methods, in particular, the institute introduced programmed learning, practiced mutual visits, discussions at meetings of departments of open classes, etc. Measures were taken to bring the activity of scientifi c and pedagogical workers closer to the practice of school work and to improve the professional training of students; various types of visualization and technical teaching tools began to be used more intensively, more attention was paid to the organization of independent work and pedagogical practice of students, which demonstrated that they had good theoretical training, necessary skills, and abilities to organize educational work at school.

Abstract (sommario):
The author analyzes one of the brightest pages of the regional cultural heritage, the Brotherhood of Saint Nicholas based on archival documents and printed pre-revolutionary sources. The brotherhood was created at the end of the 19th century in Tuma, the village of Ryazan province, by the initiative of the clerics and the most active parishioners of the Holy Trinity Church. The main goal of the created organization was to attract people to the Trinity Church activities, to teach them to be socially active themselves, to solve pressing issues all together. The Brotherhood took care of low-income citizens, of charity development, provided financial support to start-up entrepreneurs, was engaged in educa-tion, special attention was paid to promoting a so-ber lifestyle. The key role in the work of the Brother-hood was played by Stefan Ostroumov, rector of the Church, a deputy of the IV State Duma from the Rya-zan region. The study presnts the analyses of his biography, published works, publications in periodi-cals.
