Abstract: The article introduces arTSchives, a visual art teaching model that integrates the concepts of museum, archives, and experiential learning. Its purpose is to help understand contemporary artwork of the archival type while proposing artistic creation channels that integrate the concept of archives. The author conducted a content analysis of visual art installations that resulted in a list of potential archive sources. This paper aims to provide an overview of the technological perspectives of Romanian combat divers,to present the current status and possible development directions towards state-of-the-art capabilities in line with the needs of the Romanian Naval Forces and the Special Operations Forces Command as beneficiaries. The article uses domain observation and analysis, both longitudinal and cross-sectional, of military divers, dedicated to identify current capabilities, technological trends for combat divers as well as to highlight the importance they represent within the Naval Forces, taking into account the contribution and especially the role that combat divers play in countering the hybrid threats of the current security environment. For this paper, we have set out to identify the current state of the capabilities of Romanian combat divers, to this end we will present the possibilities of their use for military purposes and identify possible missions that they can perform in the Black Sea area. Moreover, we will highlight technological perspectives on the modernisation and development of the military capabilities concerning combat divers. The novelty of this article stems from the analysis and highlighting of the effective use of combat divers through new technological possibilities in response to the challenges of the new security context. Through this paper, we address to master students and personnel of the Naval Forces, to those who contribute to the implementation of feasible ideas at the level of the Romanian Naval Forces and wish to develop the capabilities of combat divers to deter the actions of a potential adversary.

AbstractRebreather divers use LED-based head-up displays (HUD) as a primary display and warning device for the partial pressure of O2 in the breathing loop. Such devices are usually mounted on the mouthpiece of the rebreather in the field of vision of the diver. LED-based HUDs are simple devices and can be designed so that they are easy to understand but have limited information content. Few alphanumeric or graphical screen-based HUDs have been developed in the past. Connecting such a device to a rebreather requires cable links, which divers dislike, and increases the risk of entanglement. State-of-the-art wireless data transmission uses ultrasonic waves or low-frequency electromagnetic waves; the former is not silent, and the latter achieves only very low data transmission rates of a few bytes per second and does not meet the antimagnetic standards required by military divers. The present paper describes a novel HUD system that incorporates a simple LED-based primary HUD along with an advanced secondary head-up diving computer with a micro organic LED screen. An optical infrared data transmission system is used to transmit all rebreather relevant data from the primary to the secondary device. One prototype of the system was manufactured and successfully tested in the laboratory according to relevant European standards as well as during several dives in fresh and sea water.

Résumé Divers éléments indiquent que la mondialisation du marché de l’art favorise la reconfiguration territoriale du monde international de l’art contemporain en quelques grands marchés régionaux, autour des deux pôles que forment l’Europe et les États-Unis. Le plus haut degré de centralisation et la plus forte intégration du marché international de l’art, qui s’expriment entre autres par une prolifération de foires d’art contemporain aux visées internationales, ne signifient toutefois pas pour autant la disparition de réseaux et de marchés artistiques locaux, nationaux ou supranationaux fort diversifiés et qui oeuvrent, à différentes échelles, à la reconnaissance et au rayonnement des artistes. Cette articulation du local au global est ici questionnée à travers l’analyse des stratégies d’internationalisation des galeries québécoises et, plus spécifiquement, de leur participation aux foires internationales d’art contemporain. Les caractéristiques des principales foires sont passées en revue.

Photography has served the purpose of documentation, information, education and creation of works of art. Telling stories without the illustrations such as what photography provides is somehow abstractive. Creative photography as evident in the works of Smart-Cole has aided the proliferation of images arising from improvement in technology than any other work of art. This study investigates photography through the lens of literature; how Sunmi Smart-Cole found his métier in photography and analysed moments and memories in the works of Sunmi Smart-Cole. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Smart-Cole, and from journal articles, books, and Internet sources. Data collected were analysed using the descriptive approach of art historical research. The study argues that with photography, the world is offered a series of discrete histories and sets of anecdotes and faits divers. It concludes that Smart-Cole’s photographs generally arouse interest, desire and curiosity, they also reflect spontaneity; the narratives are useful memories that aid the remembering of diverse contexts of identity, and the socio-political history of the Nigerian nation.

This article focused on some of the contributions of Emurobome Idolor in the Nigerian music studies. His scholarly contributions cut across different areas of Art Music including Ethnomusicology, Music Composition, Conducting, African Music and Music education in Nigeria. This article identifies and acknowledges the ideological concept of Idolor’s Philosophy towards excellence. Also, this article justified and abstracted some musical attributes that he portrayed as a scholar in Nigerian Art music. Empirical method of research was used for this study, through the holistic overview of some of his scholarly publications and two of his art music compositions titled “Glory Hallelujah and Nigeria’ Otoro So Owan. Through abstractive analysis of these creative works, younger art composers will learn and acquire divers’ compositional techniques that can be used and adopted in promoting African indigenous music.

Un glissement s’opère et l’on passe d’un projet artistique révolutionnaire à un projet relativiste. La fin proclamée des idéologies, par l’action conjuguée des théories postmodernes et postcoloniales, autorise la naissance d’un primitivisme original dans son articulation entre art et politique.

Le texte qui suit constitue une forme de plaidoyer en faveur de l’interdisciplinarité en matière de théorie des contrats. Dans la mesure où l’autonomie du droit est toute relative, le juriste ne peut être coupé des manifestations des divers discours de l’ensemble du monde social. Par conséquent, la multidisciplinarité est inévitable en droit pour que les juristes réussissent à comprendre pleinement le sens des règles juridiques qu’ils élaborent, modèlent et interprètent. Afin d’évaluer la pertinence d’ouvrir l’interprétation à des approches autres qu’économique et utilitariste, mais aussi pour enrichir une théorie juridique qui peine aujourd’hui à faire place à deux individus entièrement socialisés et personnifiés, l’auteur oppose les perceptions sociétales contemporaines du contrat à celles qui sont exploitées par les juristes. Il aborde ainsi la relation contractuelle sous trois angles multidisciplinaires (analyse discursive, théorie littéraire et art contemporain), afin de vérifier si les juristes peuvent et doivent diversifier leurs discours scientifiques. En tentant de scruter la théorie du droit par des domaines interdisciplinaires élargis, l’auteur met en lumière non seulement les croisements possibles entre le contrat et divers champs d’études exotiques par rapport au droit, mais plus largement la proposition d’un renouveau en matière d’épistémologie juridique.

Les illustrateurs pour la jeunesse ont d’abord été des illustrateurs de presse peu soucieux du public pour lequel ils dessinaient. Les Éditions Jeunesse ont été les premières à s’intéresser à la qualité de l’image dans les années 1960, mais le véritable épanouissement de cet art s’est manifesté avec le renouveau de l’album dans les années 1980. Malgré la fondation d’une association d’illustrateurs en 1983 et l’établissement de prix et de divers incitatifs, les illustrateurs québécois n’ont toujours pas atteint la reconnaissance professionnelle qui leur est due. Chroniquement sous-payé, le travail de l’illustrateur est aujourd’hui concurrencé par l’ordinateur, les banques d’images et la photographie.

Au Maroc, si l’analyse des politiques publiques est au cœur des préoccupations des chercheurs en sciences sociales, l’analyse de leur quantification l’est beaucoup moins. A partir de la constitution d’un corpus documentaire et sur la base de plusieurs entretiens menés, les auteurs mettent en relief la quantification comme un art de gouverner particulièrement imposant dans une séquence néolibérale de l’histoire du Maroc. Outre l’acte de quantifier qui recèle une portée politique, sociale et culturelle, les dynamiques de la réception des statistiques agricoles sont mieux perceptibles dans un agencement entre un jugement façonné par une succession d’expériences vis-à-vis de la politique agricole et des interprétations qui oscillent au même rythme que des usages divers et variés.

‘Universal Availability of Publications’ (UAP) and the universal availability of art publications should be considered in the context of ‘one world’, a world in which we all share responsibility for our fellow human beings. In this context both librarianship and art, and thus art librarianship also, should be seen as services rendered to humankind at large. IFLA’s UAP programme has been conceived as a service, intended to supply genuine human needs, and art librarians, who are constantly frustrated in their efforts to serve users of art libraries by the limitations to the availability of art documentation, can readily identify a need for ‘Universal Availability of Art Publications’. Nevertheless, a worldwide programme of this nature is in danger, first, of being pursued for its own sake (or for the sake of ‘needs’ which are imagined, over-emphasised, or misconceived), and second, of reinforcing cultural imperialism. Safeguards include acceptance of the necessity to proceed step by step in pursuit of a success which can never be complete; the fact that UAP is founded on local collections developed to meet local needs; recognition of the imbalance in the production of publications in different parts of the world; and recognition of the importance of unpublished documentation and of ‘publications’ which do not as yet exist. A greater emphasis on increasing the availability, and generating the production, of publications from countries which publish relatively little, is proposed. A fourth safeguard ought to derive from the professional ethics and grass-roots experience of librarians, who serve and identify with library users, actual and potential. The pursuit of universal availability of art publications should be based on realistic assessment of what is feasible, and on local, regional, and national resources, with all possible encouragement being given to developing countries to document their own arts. Art librarians may be paying too little attention to the needs of users and, especially, of non-users of art libraries, and should be aware of the barriers to availability which can result from the prevalence of a narrow, elitist conception of ‘Art’ and from the provision of library services primarily for an elite. Without neglecting the service of scholarship, the art library profession should try to shift the balance of its commitment towards the provision of a service for everyone, everywhere, so that our interpretation and pursuit of the ‘Universal Availability of Art Publications’ truly reflects a vision of our whole world’s heritage and practice ‘of divers arts’.This is the text of a paper presented to the Section of Art Libraries, at the 1985 IFLA Council in Chicago.

SummaryThe plasminogen activation system is part of the fibrinolysis which is tightly regulated and protected against dysfunction by various activators and inhibitors. However, microorganisms including bacteria, fungi and also parasites have been proven to interact in a specific manner with components of the fibrinolytic pathways. Pathogenic bacteria are capable to subvert the function of proteases, activators or inhibitors for their own benefits including dissemination within the host and evasion of host inflammatory immune response. Here, we provide a state of the art overview of the divers strategies employed by bacteria to interact with components of the fibrinolytic system and to exploit the system for invasion. Moreover, the role of factors of the fibrinolytic cascade in inflammatory host response due to different bacterial infections will be presented.

Le jeu, dans ses formes et catégories multiples, constitue un fil conducteur dans la poétique d’Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt. L’objectif de cet article est d’étudier les modalités ludiques des pratiques de lecture représentées dans les nouvelles de l’écrivain-philosophe. Les analyses de la thématisation d’expériences de jeu et de lecture sont menées au prisme des théories de la réception et du jeu. Les cas significatifs de lecteurs aux tendances psychotiques ou (post)bovariques, expérimentés ou débutants, sont révélateurs de divers effets et usages de la lecture-jeu et de ses dérives possibles. Les pratiques lectrices, pathologiques ou bénéfiques, associées à différents profils de lecteurs in fabula, sont étudiées dans le but de dégager les dispositifs ludiques de cet art nouvellistique empreint d’un esprit d’enfance singulier.

Les arts visuels ont été source d'inspiration pour les arts de la scène en particulier à cause de la performance. Oeuvre éclatée, la performance laisse place à l'artiste qui devient le centre de sa production, l'objet même de son travail. Ce dernier, agissant en général comme maître d'oeuvre, organise les divers éléments visuels, matériels, sonores, textuels, etc., dans l'espace de représentation. Bien que fascinante par son aspect fugace et éphémère, voire événementiel, la performance a été quelque peu mise à l'écart par plusieurs artistes qui sont revenus, vers le milieu des années '80, à un art d'objets (peinture, sculpture, photo, etc.). À cette même époque, l'installation a pris un essor considérable dans la pratique artistique québécoise et canadienne. Il ne s'agissait plus de présenter une seule oeuvre isolée ou présentée en série, mais plutôt de mettre en relation, dans un espace donné, divers éléments qui formaient un tout. L'installation fait appel à différents genres, qu'il s'agisse de la peinture, de la sculpture, de la photographie, etc. En fait, l'installation est l'art de l'hybride par excellence. Autant la performance a nourri les arts de la scène autant l'installation, qui plus est, l'installation-vidéo, fait appel au théâtre, et plus précisément à une mise en scène, par le dispositif à l'intérieur duquel le spectateur doit circuler pour en saisir le sens. Dans notre exposé, nous présenterons l'installation-vidéo en lien avec trois notions: le collage, fonctionnant par ajouts ou par petites touches, voire par transparence (les images télé). L'assemblage, la deuxième notion, opère dans la mise en relation des divers éléments matériels qui composent l'installation. Enfin, le bricolage ou la reconstruction de l'installation, se fait par le parcours du spectateur dans l'espace. Pour illustrer notre propos, nous présenterons l'une de nos productions ainsi que celle d'une autre artiste montréalaise.

From the Problems of a Democratic Aesthetic to the Aesthetics of a Problematic Democracy In analyses of poems from the 18th, 20th and 21st century, this article juxtaposes different degrees of trust in a democratic political order and the role of poetry in it. Philip Freneau, who supported a radical interpretation of the American Revolution as initiating a new and better social order, searched for a democratic poetics commensurate with the value placed on common people. For Muriel Rukeyser and even more so, Langston Hughes in the 1930s, democracy felt threatened not only by fascism abroad but by racism and exploitation at home. In 2014, Claudia Rankines Citizen: An American Lyric registers, like Rukeyser and Hughes, the difficulties in constructing a consensual reality and pushes this notion much further; surprisingly, perhaps, her work continues to see art as important to alert us to this difficulty of modern democracies and divers societies.

Aim and Objective: The reaction of cyclohexylisocyanide and 2-aminopyridine-3- carboxylic acid in the presence of benzaldehyde derivatives in ethanol led to 3-(cyclohexylamino)-2- arylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-8-carboxylic acids in high yields. In a three component condensation reaction, isocyanide reacts with 2-aminopyridine-3-carboxylic acid and aromatic aldehydes without any prior activation. Material and Methods: The synthesized products have stable structures which have been characterized by IR, 1H, 13C and Mass spectroscopy as well as CHN-O analysis. Results: In continuation of our attempts to develop simple one-pot routes for the synthesis of 3- (cyclohexylamino)-2-arylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-8-carboxylic acids, aromatic aldehydes with divers substituted show a high performance. Conclusion: In conclusion, this study introduces the art of combinatorial chemistry using a simple one-pot procedure for the synthesis of new materials which are interesting compounds in medicinal and biological sciences.

Plutôt que la dualité centre/périphérie, c’est la multiplicité des lieux et les liens entre eux qui sont analysés. En prenant en compte les diverses échelles, nous verrons comment les pratiques habitantes sont en prise avec ces divers lieux articulés, entremêlés. Nous nous intéresserons plus particulièrement au cinéma, qui semble être une polarité culturelle importante pour les habitants des territoires périurbains, et qui est vu comme un « art populaire ». Étant à la fois bâti, activité et lieu, le cinéma semble opportun pour raconter la culture sur ces territoires. Selon sa programmation et sa localisation, les publics diffèrent. Nous montrerons aussi comment les pratiques et les représentations autour du cinéma peuvent contribuer à redéfinir des territoires les uns par rapport aux autres, des petites villes aux métropoles.

Depuis la genèse des techniques modernes de télédétection au moyen de drones, les applications se multiplient dans tous les domaines pour parfois devenir des outils indispensables de la recherche et de l'industrie actuelle. Cependant, dans le domaine des Sciences Humaines et tout particulièrement en archéologie ancienne (Préhistoire, Protohistoire), malgré un dynamisme indéniable, certaines techniques dites « classiques » ne cèdent pas véritablement le pas aux techniques plus modernes, pourtant plus efficaces et sources d'innovations. Certaines techniques intermédiaires, comme l'usage de théodolites ou plus récemment de GPS RTK associé aux Systèmes d'Information Géographique, se sont pourtant relativement bien implantées dans les problématiques de relevés topographiques, d'architectures et de structures archéologiques de divers types. L'incroyable bon avant que constituent les drones équipés de LiDAR, de matériel photogrammétrique et thermique, tout comme celui des techniques de photogrammétrie opérées depuis le sol, n'a pourtant pas encore détrôné les techniques « séculaires » de dessin et de documentation des sites en cours de fouille et de leurs contextes. Si ce sont, dans un premier temps, des contextes très spécifiques qui ont généré l'application de nouvelles technologies en Archéologie, notamment dans des cas d'accès difficile aux vestiges (archéologie sous-marine, reliefs difficilement accessibles) ou bien des sites exceptionnels (grottes ornées du Paléolithique), les tendances actuelles montrent que ces technologies sont encore au stade expérimental dans d'autres contextes et que le plus souvent seules des solutions mixtes entre les procédures classiques et modernes sont appliquées.
Le présent article a pour objectif premier de définir, dans le cadre d'un état de l'art spécifique à la discipline archéologique, les problématiques et les contextes dans lesquels interviennent déjà les nouvelles techniques de relevés photogrammétriques depuis le sol et depuis les airs. Cet état de l'art ne peut être complètement exhaustif au vu de la quantité d'information disponible sur le sujet, parfois très répétitive, mais cherche à couvrir toute l'amplitude des applications passées et actuelles et de réfléchir aux applications futures. Il permet également de pointer du doigt et de mieux comprendre les réticences passées et actuelles vis-à-vis de supposés problèmes de précision et de problèmes d'éthique liés à la documentation automatisée de certains vestiges des sociétés anciennes. L'archéologue aura toujours, du moins faut-il l'espérer, le besoin d'être en contact avec son sujet, de l'analyser de ses propres yeux et de le tester de ses propres mains. L'on se demande désormais pourquoi il apparaît encore fréquemment si délicat d'abandonner un peu plus le papier et le crayon en faveur de procédés de télédétection et de relevé offrant un gain de temps, une meilleure qualité de documentation et un archivage de données exploitables sur le long terme. Ces « réticences » liées au passage à une pleine mise en œuvre de ces nouveaux moyens démontre aujourd'hui qu'un peu de recul est nécessaire afin d'obtenir une vue d'ensemble des résultats et des applications potentielles, afin de redéfinir les pratiques et les enjeux de la recherche archéologique de terrain. L'objectif second de cet article est de présenter le projet de recherche « METAdAtA » (« METAdAtA : sviluppo MEtodologico, Tecnico e sperimentale del volo Autonomo di Aeromobili senza pilota a bordo nell'ambito Archeologico sardo »), financé par les fonds européens de la Région Sardaigne et impliquant l'utilisation de drones pour la documentation de sites archéologiques néolithiques et de l'âge du Bronze en Sardaigne (Italie), sous divers de ses aspects : problématiques, objectifs, cas d'étude et résultats préliminaires. Ce projet de recherche a notamment permis de mettre au point des procédés et protocoles types pour la documentation de sites archéologiques assistée par drone mais également de démontrer que les nouvelles technologies constituent un facteur essentiel de l'apparition et du développement de nouvelles problématiques scientifiques, de nouveaux besoins auxquels la discipline tarde peut être un peu trop à donner libre cours.

La publicité de ce populaire magasin à rayons livre des indications très intéressantes sur la marchandise offerte et les messages qui s'en dégagent. La description des objets ainsi que certaines illustrations qui accompagnent les textes sont en effet révélatrices de pratiques et de coutumes. Les magasins multivocationnels sont emblématiques du nouvel art de vivre, développé durant les années 1950, qui se caractérise par un besoin et un désir de consommation. Il faut attirer l'acheteur et lui faire valoir l'intérêt de renouveler sa garde-robe et de modifier son habitation pour son mieux-être, son mieux-vivre et son mieux-paraître. Les habitudes et les valeurs ne se changent cependant pas tout d'un coup. Certaines pratiques transmises d'une génération à l'autre et divers comportements persistent en même temps qu'un nouveau style de vie prend forme. Ainsi, dans la publicité étudiée, le souci d'acheter des biens durables s'avère une préoccupation courante, mais il est accompagné d'un goût certain pour la dernière mode.

AbstractKnowledge is a crucial factor in state-of-the-art product development. It is often provided by stakeholders from divers disciplinary and individual backgrounds and has to be integrated to create competitive products. Still, it is not fully understood, how knowledge is generated, transformed, transferred and integrated in complex product development processes. To investigate the dynamic interrelations between involved stakeholders, applied knowledge types and related artefacts, researchers at the TU Berlin conducted and evaluated a student experiment to study basic phenomena of development projects. In relation to research methods and instruments applied in this experiment, various improvement opportunities were identified. In this paper, the experimental setting and its results are critically analysed from a social science perspective in order to generate improved research design. Based on the results of this analysis, a first set of methods and instruments from social sciences are identified that can be applied in further experiments. The goal is to develop a methodological toolbox that can be used to approach research on knowledge dynamics in product development.

Au cours de l’adaptation de ses modèles français à l’ensemble du théâtre des faubourgs de Vienne, Nestroy travaille très scrupuleusement à la mise au point de son propre rôle. La comparaison des pré-textes avec leur adaptation par Nestroy montre que le dramaturge viennois ne se borne pas à développer ou à mettre en relief les protagonistes qu’il trouve chez ses modèles : il les transforme véritablement en des personnages nestroyens typiques par son propre travail sur la langue. L’adresse rhétorique de ces «nouveaux» personnages dépasse celle des autres rôles de moindre importance. Ils revêtent une position clé dans le jeu comique grâce à leur capacité de jeu avec les mots et de réflexion critique, en s’abstrayant de l’action. L’autonomie créative de Nestroy est donc particulièrement visible dans son art langagier, qui réside surtout dans le contraste satirique entre les divers niveaux de langue et de style ainsi que dans les jeux de mots comiques, qui n’ont presque jamais d’équivalent dans les textes français dont les pièces de Nestroy sont issues.

Background. In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in the development of mural art. Kharkiv is a special city, full of monumental urban buildings, heavy walls, and free space. This is a unique territory for the mural creating and street art development. Since the late 90s of the 20-century activists, street artists, and sometimes amateurs of the wall business were the first to create urban art objects with the experimental way, following the example of their western colleagues. The urban space of the city is a platform for the popularization and development of mural art without institutional influence. The paradigm of activating sociocultural processes in our time became the outcome of visual art beyond the frames of the galleries and museums into the public space. This explains the background of the research problem. In three decades, monotonous architecture has turned into colorful art objects. The appearance of graffiti and murals has become a globalized form of creative interaction between artists and society. Murals are symbols encoded by deep socio-political and cultural genesis. They prompt viewers to self-development and improvement, despite their status in the global pyramid of life. Objectives. The objectives of this study are to determine the specific and peculiarity of mural art development in Kharkiv. The artistic approach allows forming critical descriptions of basic samples. Therefore, the detailed analysis and interpretation of unique wall panels appear like the main purpose. It is important to prove that mural art is a vector of contemporary art development and the way of influence for sociocultural processes in public space. Differentiate definitions of appellations like "mural art", "graffiti", "street art", "urban art" in the context of drawing parallels between Ukrainian and foreign art-science literature. An important driving layer of information is unexplored in the art-science works. The theoretical comprehension of mural art is at the stage of formation without a solid basis. Methods. Classical methods were used for the research. Analysis of the literature, short historical overview allowed to form a basis. Digital imaging tools and Worldwide Internet Web has created online galleries, platforms, touristic maps, discussions. This way, artists find new ways to promote their work without institutional influence. The narrative analysis of the main Kharkiv’s murals allows determining mural art as a separate form of art and socio-cultural process. There was used a comparative method in the article. Street artists are using different media, technical applications, have divers stylistic features. Every large mural is encoded and differs not only with size, artistic value, idea, etc. but with a context. Art critics, government, and citizens perceive this art in different ways. With the help of the empirical method, was proved the influence of mural art on the social, cultural, and political processes in the country. Theoretical and deductive methods were used to reproduce the chronology and classification of Kharkiv’s murals. The article analysis from the solid. Works that are provocative for the society, were created without permission, commercial projects, creative murals, created within the festivals and initiatives, etc. The general blocks analyze the work of the prominent artists and describe the best samples from the analytic point of view. Results. The results of the research support the idea that the mural art in Kharkiv and Ukraine has not been studied in art-science works at all. The theoretical comprehension of mural art is at the stage of formation without a solid basis. Content is based on media sources like interviews and news. Murals and graffiti are often destroyed by natural, mechanical, or human intervention. Therefore, photo and video fixation on electronic resources allow to carry out a detailed analysis of works. Online street art galleries, festivals and project pages, artists' websites, and art critic blogs all provide access to informational material for processing. The thorough selection of the most valuable finds allows revealing the socio-political themes of the art, cultural, and psychological aspects. National scientists carry out a comparative analysis of graffiti. A meticulous explanation of the semantics and symbolism of urban art is reflected in the works of S. Kais. Prevailing studies of urban art are based on the original basis of Western theorists. Prominent are works of G. Shaw and R. Gastman, who describe street-art of all continents. Authors compare related graffiti, street art objects, and classify them by historiography, style, and theme. The British curator and sociologist R. Shakter has systematized the best samples of the World's mural art, introducing new appellations relating to neo-muralism, which, in his view, is different from monumental realistic paintings. He analyzes the creative achievements of leading Ukrainian muralists. The uniqueness of mural art is proved as a special form of contemporary art, which relies on transformation, multiculturalism, and the exit of visual art out of the gallery space. Urban artist’ projects promote the development of Kharkiv city gentrification. The article also supports the opinion of the uniqueness of mural art, as a special form of contemporary art, which is based on transformation, multiculturalism. Urban artist’ projects promote the development of Kharkiv city gentrification. Conclusions. The present results are significant in the field of research and the development of contemporary art. The development of mural art in Kharkiv and other cities of Ukraine deserves intent attention. A wide selection of artistic media, changes in ideological views, values, purposes, serving, technological progress, and many other factors have become catalysts in the process of forming and promotion of muralism as a complete form of contemporary art. A large number of realistic compositions means a powerful academic school and professionalism of artists. Fine detailing attracts by perfect realization. The results of the research are important for the socio-cultural significance and psychological, political influence of street-art on the ideology of citizens. The urban space of Kharkiv is popular and unique for street-artists not only in Ukraine but also in Western Europe and America. Every year, dozens of new high-quality murals appear in a progressive vector of quantity and quality. Therefore, it is important to deduce the evolution of Kharkiv's mural art in the comparative of urban art of other major cities of Ukraine.

Composé de quatre poèmes, de longueur variable, Symphonie musicale : pour une poévie de la Vie est un recueil de Jean-Baptiste Fondjo publié en 2022 aux éditions L’Harmattan de Paris. Cette œuvre poétique, essentiellement lyrique, se définit comme un hymne à la vie. Cette vie, si chère au poète, est célébrée à partir de la scène générique de la poévie, comme en témoigne le titre de l’œuvre. Mot-valise forgé à partir du morphème « poé », une troncation de la lexie « poésie » et du terme « vie », la poévie est un art poétique qui vise à promouvoir la vie, en mobilisant divers procédés d’écriture dont les plus représentatifs sont les déictiques, les marques suprasegmentales et la métaphore. Cette stratégie témoigne de la subjectivité du poète. Ces unités énonciatives donnent prise à l’analyse stylistique. Cette dernière se définit, en effet, comme une théorie et une méthode d’analyse structurale qui vise au décryptage et à l’interprétation des ressources langagières mises en œuvre par un écrivain, dans son texte. L’intérêt de cette étude est de montrer comment les outils de la linguistique de l’énonciation se prêtent à une interprétation stylistique de la poésie de Jean-Baptiste Fondjo.

Le mouvement artistique rap et hip-hop palestinien est un support de revendications, conscientisation ou moralisation, informatif, pédagogique, parfois politique ou religieux. Il aspire à l’élaboration et la reconnaissance d’une identité plurielle et particulière. La surcharge de sens, caractéristique du travail symbolique, se situe aussi au niveau émotionnel. La communication sociale, en effet, n’est pas toujours purement instrumentale ni froidement fonctionnelle. Les symboles, socialement efficaces, ont pour caractéristique de mobiliser l’attention sur divers registres affectifs. « Il y a donc symbole là où se manifeste une capacité à provoquer chez les agents sociaux des projections émotionnelles, positives ou négatives, ou des mécanismes d’allégeance identitaire ». Elles paraissent essentielles à la promotion de la cohésion d’un groupe et pour la diffusion de ses valeurs et des éléments centraux de son idéologie. Le phénomène hip-hop est devenu incontournable dans le paysage musical et culturel contemporain palestinien. Le hip-hop n’est pas seulement un genre musical, il est aussi un art de vivre, une mode vestimentaire, une philosophie, une posture sociale. Les interviewés se voient comme créateurs de nouvelles formes d’expression musicale. Véritable culture de rue, le hip-hop a un langage, un état d’esprit, des signes de reconnaissance, une mémoire, un sentiment d’appartenance revendiquée ou attribuée.

In Ocean investigations, particularly those deployed by the Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, underwater object detection and recognition is an essential task. Edge detection places a key role and considered one of the pre-processing techniques for several deep learning applications. In an underwater environment, the illumination of light, turbulence in the water, suspended particles present in the seafloor are challenging issues to acquire the quality image. The two major problems in underwater imaging are light scattering and color change. In the former case, the vision sensors connected to the underwater vehicles or dive lights used by the divers themselves cause light dispersion and shadows in the seafloor. In the latter case, the occurrence of color distortion is mainly due to the attenuation of the light, hence the images are having dominant colors in the latter case. The conventional techniques are failed to detect the quality edges in the case of underwater images. Our mechanism focused, instead of applying the edge detection algorithm on the input image directly, it is better to apply edge detection algorithm after color correction and contrast enhancement using L*A*B model. Qualitative and quantitative test results demonstrate that the proposed mechanism is giving better results compared with state-of-the-art methods.

Shallow underwater environments around the world are contaminated with unexploded ordnances (UXOs). Current state-of-the-art methods for UXO detection and localization use remote sensing systems. Furthermore, human divers are often tasked with confirming UXO existence and retrieval which poses health and safety hazards. In this paper, we describe the application of a crab robot with leg-embedded Hall effect-based sensors to detect and distinguish between UXOs and non-magnetic objects partially buried in sand. The sensors consist of Hall-effect magnetometers and permanent magnets embedded in load bearing compliant segments. The magnetometers are sensitive to magnetic objects in close proximity to the legs and their movement relative to embedded magnets, allowing for both proximity and force-related feedback in dynamically obtained measurements. A dataset of three-axis measurements is collected as the robot steps near and over different UXOs and UXO-like objects, and a convolutional neural network is trained on time domain inputs and evaluated by 5-fold cross validation. Additionally, we propose a novel method for interpreting the importance of measurements in the time domain for the trained classifier. The results demonstrate the potential for accurate and efficient UXO and non-UXO discrimination in the field.

Im Laufe der letzten siebzig Jahre haben über eine lange Zeit hinweg Armut, Diskriminierung, Kolonialismus und der Kampf für soziale Gerechtigkeit den Boden für die Entwicklung bedeutender sozialer Bewegungen in Brasilien bereitet. In diesem Beitrag wird untersucht, wie sich vor dem Hintergrund dieser Geschichte der Alltag von Jugendlichen in drei spezifischen Jugendgemeinschaften gestaltet: in der Bewegung der Ländlichen Arbeiter ohne Land, in einer Guarani-Gemeinschaft und in einer ‚escola aberta‘ (offene Schule) in Porto Alegre. Während ein Großteil der neueren Forschung Jugend in der Krise aus einer makropolitischen Perspektive analysiert hat, werden in diesem Artikel die Unterschiede im Alltagsleben dreier junger Männer näher untersucht, die zwar alle als marginalisiert oder unterprivilegiert angesehen werden können, deren Alltagsleben sich jedoch stark voneinander unterscheidet. In Übereinstimmung mit ethnografischen Ansätzen nach 1986 wird ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die Poetik des Alltags der jungen Männer gelegt, die je nach Perspektive auf eine Art und Weise leben, die sowohl als ‚gewöhnlich‘ als auch als ‚un-einfach‘ oder ‚un-normal‘ angesehen werden kann. Die Analyse schlägt dabei vor, dass sowohl Forscher*innen als auch jugendpolitische Entscheidungsträger*innen aufmerksamer dafür werden sollten, wie divers und vielfältig die alltäglichen Leben junger Menschen – auch unter mithin sehr kritischen Bedingungen – sein können.

RÉSUMÉCe livre, composé de chapitres édités, tente d'offrir un ouvrage de référence définitif aux chercheurs et praticiens qui s'intéressent au développement de la théorie de la réminiscence et de ses applications. Les rédacteurs ont délibérément inclu des contributions provenant de plusieurs disciplines et pays, et ont réussi à présenter un vaste échantillon des travaux accomplis dans ce domaine par des intervenants en psychologie, en gériatrie, en soins infirmiers et en gérontologie. Les chapitres du livre résument les développements de la théorie, de la recherche, des méthodes et des applications. Les recherches effectuées depuis les premiers travaux au début des années 60, ont conduit à un rejet des hypothèses basées sur la théorie somatique et ont fourni les clarifications nécessaires sur la nature de la réminiscence. En particulier, on reconnait deplus en plus que celle-ci est multidimensionnelle et qu'elle a plusieurs fonctions. Des recherches qualitatives et quantitatives ont permis d'examiner diverses taxonomies de la réminiscence et l'influence de certains stimuli contextuels dans le déclenchement de la réminiscence. Les praticiens ont appliqué des interventions basées sur différents aspects de la réminiscence à divers groupes de personnes âgées, y compris des personnes résidant dans des institutions ou dans la communauté, des sujets dépressifs, des individus atteints de démence et des patients en psychothérapie. L'ouvrage présente un bon recoupement du sujet et illustre de manière adéquate l'élégance des concepts, le besoin d'une clarté et d'une spécificité conceptuellesplus grandes, d'une même terminologie et de vérifications empiriques des principes théoriques.

L'importance de la traduction pour Jorge Luis Borges et la relation qu'il entretient avec cet art constituent un domaine de recherche qui, jusqu'à présent, n'a été que fort peu étudié. Il est un fait cependant que pendant toute sa vie, l'auteur argentin a non seulement beaucoup traduit mais aussi écrit à propos de la traduction et de l'art de traduire, fut traduit lui-même en plusieurs langues et fit de la traduction le thème de base de très nombreux contes. Dans un premier temps, la présente étude met en évidence les vues théoriques et pratiques de Borges sur la traduction telles qu'il les énonce dans ses essais ou lors de divers entretiens. Elle explore ensuite en les comparant les textes traduits par Borges en espagnol et leurs textes sources qui proviennent de trois domaines littéraires, le domaine français, le domaine britannique et le domaine nord-américain. Dans un troisième temps, l'étude s'attache aux derniers travaux de traduction faits par Borges en collaboration avec le traducteur américain Norman Thomas di Giovanni, les versions anglaises de ses propres textes. Elle conclut enfin en démontrant le lien inévitable entre la traduction et le concept borgésien de l'auteur, du texte, et de la littérature, concept que concrétise Γ auto-traduction par la fusion de l'auteur et du traducteur, du texte et de son double.

L’article se propose de contribuer à l’exploration des logiques du sensible par une réflexion sur le plastique. L’œuvre Klänge de Wassily Kandinsky amène à observer comment la matière se façonne continuellement dans l’appréhension sensible, en supportant et accompagnant l’émergence de formes et figures, la création d’effets d’ambiance, mais en étayant aussi le retour à des valeurs et attraits proprement matériels. Recueil de poèmes et gravures où se déclenchent parfois des résonances entre le visuel et le langage verbal, Klänge est avant tout une œuvre qui exploite ce que l’artiste appelle sonorité, concept qu’il élabore à partir de l’usage poétique du mot et qu’il étend à la couleur et aux éléments picturaux, au-delà de tout ancrage référentiel. Le livre, contemporain, et peut-être même moteur, du passage à un art dit abstrait, est également une œuvre charnière pour entendre du tournant esthétique envisagé par l’artiste dans ses écrits théoriques. Il incite à une réflexion sur la plasticité, qui, en faisant fi de la délimitation de celle-ci à certains matériaux ou genres, dépasse aussi l’opposition entre l’abstrait et le figuratif, ou entre le plastique et l’iconique. Le plastique se tourne alors en concept-clé pour la compréhension de dynamiques morphologiques et permet de relever comment, dans la saisie, la matière est informée à divers degrés de figurabilité.

Diffusion models, a state-of-the-art generative model, have drawn attention for their capacity to produce high-quality, divers, and flexible content. However, the training of these models typically necessitates large datasets, a task that can be hindered by challenges related to privacy concerns and data distribution constraints. Due to the amount of data and hardware required for large model training, all centralized training will be done by large companies or labs with computing power. Federated Learning provides a decentralized method that allows for model training across several data sources while maintaining the data's localization, reducing privacy threats. This research proposes and evaluate a novel approach for utilizing Federated Learning in the context of diffusion models. This paper investigates the feasibility of training and fine-tuning diffusion models in a federated setting, considering various data distributions and privacy constraints. This study used the Federated Averaging (FedAvg) technique to train the unconditional diffusion model as well as to fine-tune the pre-trained diffusion mode. The experimental results demonstrate that federated training of diffusion models can achieve comparable performance to centralized training methods while preserving data locality. Additionally, Federated Learning can be effectively applied to fine-tune pre-trained diffusion model, enabling adaptation to specific tasks without exposing sensitive data. Overall, this work demonstrates Federated Learning's potential as a useful tool for training and fine-tuning diffusion models in a privacy-preserving manner.

Dans ce texte, en partant du double sens de l’expression «arts du corps» et après un parcours bref sur la présence du corps dans la culture occidentale, on essaye de caractériser, premièrement, les arts du corps qui font du corps son objet ou instrument (génitif objectif) de travail, exposition et manipulation, tels que la chirurgie esthétique, les marques du piercing et du tatouage (elles-mêmes de double sens), le «body building», quelques excès du «body art», les divers types de prothèses mécaniques qui font du corps un cyborg et, finalement, ce qu’on peut appeler les prothèses chimiques qui modèlent le désir et le tempérament et qui sont administrés par une médicine psychiatrique au service d’un bien-être normalisé. Dans un second moment notre regard se tourne vers les arts du corps dans lesquels le corps se présente en tant que sujet de création artistique (génitif subjectif), en relevant surtout les arts de la scène et, en spécial, la danse et le théâtre: on essaye, ainsi, de montrer dans quel sens on peut parler du corps en tant que sujet, tant dans la danse classique que dans la danse contemporaine, et on traverse aussi le développement du théâtre, surtout après Artaud, en passant par Grotowski, Barbas et Peter Brook, pour souligner le passage du corps au premier plan de la scène. Nous concluons en soulignant le rapport intrinsèque entre ces arts, le corps et le mouvement, ce qui nous permet de dire que, s’ils sont sont les plus éphémères de tous les arts, c’est parce que dans ces arts tout se passe comme si on faisait l’amour avec le temps.

State of the art approaches to Multi-robot localization and mapping still present multiple issues to be improved, offering a wide range of possibilities for researchers and technology. This paper presents a new algorithm for visual Multi-robot simultaneous localization and mapping, used to join, in a common reference system, several trajectories of different robots that participate simultaneously in a common mission. One of the main problems in centralized configurations, where the leader can receive multiple data from the rest of robots, is the limited communications bandwidth that delays the data transmission and can be overloaded quickly, restricting the reactive actions. This paper presents a new approach to Multi-robot visual graph Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) that aims to perform a joined topological map, which evolves in different directions according to the different trajectories of the different robots. The main contributions of this new strategy are centered on: (a) reducing to hashes of small dimensions the visual data to be exchanged among all agents, diminishing, in consequence, the data delivery time, (b) running two different phases of SLAM, intra- and inter-session, with their respective loop-closing tasks, with a trajectory joining action in between, with high flexibility in their combination, (c) simplifying the complete SLAM process, in concept and implementation, and addressing it to correct the trajectory of several robots, initially and continuously estimated by means of a visual odometer, and (d) executing the process online, in order to assure a successful accomplishment of the mission, with the planned trajectories and at the planned points. Primary results included in this paper show a promising performance of the algorithm in visual datasets obtained in different points on the coast of the Balearic Islands, either by divers or by an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) equipped with cameras.

This approach is carry out for developing the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) for controlling the forthcoming Intelligent Universal Transformer (IUT) in regard of voltages and current control in both input and output stages which is optimized by particle swarm optimization. Current or voltages errors and their time derivative have been considered as the inputs of Nero Fuzzy controller for elaborating the firing angles of converters in IUT basic construction. ANFIS constructed from a fuzzy inference system (FIS) in which the membership function parameters are tuned according to the back propagation algorithm or in conjunction to the least squares method. A neural network maps inputs through input membership functions and associated parameters, and output membership functions and associated parameters to outputs which interprets the input-output map. The associated parameters of membership functions change through the learning algorithm by a gradient vector modeling the input output data in case of given parameters. Optimization method will be investigated to adjust the parameters according to error reduction computed by sum of the squared variation from actual outputs to the desired ones. Advanced Distribution Automation (ADA) is the state of art introducing for tomorrows distribution automation with the new invention in management and control. ADA is equipping by the Intelligent Equipment Devices (IED) in which IUT is a key point introducing as an intelligent transformer subjecting for tomorrows distribution automation in the near future. The proposed ANFIS is a control scheme develop for controlling the IUT by bringing the major advantages like harmonic Filtering, voltage regulation, automatic sag correction, energy storage, 48V DC option, three phase outputs in term of one phase input, reliable divers power as 240V 400HZ for communication utilization and two other 240V 60 HZ outputs, dynamic system monitoring and robustness in major disturbances occurred in terms of input and load variation.

Le modeste et discret Hergé était en réalité, oserait-on dire, un créateur « médiatique », non pas au sens de « médiatisé », mais au sens où son oeuvre n’a cessé d’établir un dialogue foisonnant avec les médias (au sens le plus large qui soit). Artiste toujours de son temps, à l’image de son héros, Hergé faisait ainsi malgré lui, et sous la forme encore dénigrée de la bande dessinée, oeuvre de véritable reporter prompt à livrer, au sein des organes de presse pour lesquels il travaillait (Le Vingtième Siècle, ici, en l’occurrence), le climat authentique de l’actualité la plus brûlante — et la plus parlante pour les lecteurs. L’analyse génétique d’un seul album, L’Île Noire, historiquement capital car paru en 1938, dans la période trouble et tendue de l’avant-guerre, peut aisément illustrer par l’exemple les interférences nombreuses et prégnantes entre les mouvements de l’actualité socioculturelle (voire politique) et les Aventures de Tintin. Si l’intrigue peut rappeler certains épisodes de Zig et Puce, les célèbres héros du Français Alain Saint-Ogan, elle pioche en même temps dans les articles et les faits divers du Crapouillot ou du Vingtième Siècle pour susciter un personnage, un gag, une péripétie ou une ambiance. Hergé s’inspire pareillement du cinéma populaire, art alors en pleine expansion, et plus particulièrement des réalisations de Schoedsack et Cooper ou d’Alfred Hitchcock, sans jamais les plagier ni même les citer. Mieux qu’une suite de références précises et nommées à des faits ponctuels avérés et susceptibles (pour certains) de sombrer dans l’oubli, c’est bien la capacité de syncrétisme d’Hergé qui lui permet en effet, dès les années 1930, de restituer avec universalité le contexte socioculturel de son époque tout en inscrivant son oeuvre dans le temps.

RésuméÀ l’occasion de la publication récente, en langue anglaise, de cinq ouvrages traitant des divers aspects de la relation entre les Juifs et l’art, particulièrement dans l’Europe médiévale et moderne, cet article se propose d’examiner certains des fondements des discours, académique et populaire, à ce sujet. Dans son ouvrageThe Artless Jew, Kalman Bland constate qu’au xixeet au début du xxesiècle l’opinion était répandue, aussi bien parmi les Juifs que chez les non-Juifs, que les premiers avaient des talents artistiques limités — ceci étant dû à un trait caractéristique de leur culture ou à l’héritage tenace de leur religion prônant l’aniconisme. Des vues manifestement antisémites se propagèrent dans certains milieux (auxquels appartenait même le philosophe Bertrand Russell) où l’on estimait les Juifs non seulement incapables de créer des œ uvres d’art, mais aussi de les apprécier — sinon pour leur valeur marchande. Il n’est donc pas surprenant que le mouvement sioniste se soit très tôt penché sur le sujet de l’art juif, et que certains de ses partisans (Martin Buber notamment, dont l’un des essais figure dans le recueilJewish Texts on the Visual Arts) aient soutenu qu’un véritable art juif ne pouvait voir le jour que sur la terre d’Israël. D’autres définitions de l’art juif mettaient plutôt l’accent sur le thème traité. Dans les années 1950, Stephen Kayser y voyait « l’art appliqué au judaïsme », et, plus récemment, dans son livreJewish Icons, Richard Cohen le concevait comme « l’art reflétant l’expérience juive ». C’est de cette dernière conception que relèvent les monographies récentes de Mark Epstein et de Ruth Mellinkoff sur l’art médiéval européen, qui considèrent tous deux l’art juif plutôt comme un moyen d’expression de conflits que de symboles visuels communs. Sastra lisan Jawa-Cirebon cukup beragam, tetapi yang menarik dicermati adalah seni tarling. Dua hal yang menarik dalam tarling, pertama, ia dipandang sebagai hasil budaya hibrid, kedua, jika dibandingkan dengan jenis sastra lisan Jawa-Cirebon lainnya, seni tarling dipandang paling representatif mewakili sastra Jawa-Cirebon sebagai sastra liminalitas. Makalah ini akan menggambarkan sastra Jawa- Cirebon khususnya teks tarling sebagai representasi sastra liminalitas. Melalui representasi tarling yang merupakan sastra liminalitas akan tergambarkan bagaimana sifat-sifat atau watak masyarakat liminalitas, seperti sikap toleran, menghargai budaya orang lain, atau menghargai perbedaan, dan merasa memiliki seni tradisi sebagai kekayaan budaya sendiri tanpa memperhitungkan asal-usulnya. Selain itu, melalui lirik-lirik dan filosofi yang melekat dalam tarling juga terungkap fungsi seni tarling dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menerapkan teknik wawancara dan studi pustaka.Abstract:Oral literature of Javanese-Cirebon is quite divers. However, but the thing that should be taken into concerned is tarling. Two interesting things in tarling are described in this paper. First, it is considered as a product of a hybrid culture. Second, compared to other types of other oral literature of Javanese-Cirebon, tarling considered the most suitable representation of Javanese-Cirebon literature as literary liminality. This paper will describe the Javanese-Cirebon literature particular in tarling texts in as liminality literary representation. Through a tarling rep- resentation as literary liminality, it will be illustrated how the characters of public liminality are, including, tolerance, respecting other culture, or appreciating the difference, realizing to have a art tradition as their own cultural richness regardless of its origin. In addition, through the lyrics and the philosophical inherent it is revealed in tarling that there is the function of it in the society. This study uses qualitative methods by applying interview techniques and literature.

SummaryIn this article, the history of the so-called ablative absolute as a descriptive category is traced from the 3rd to the 20th century. Texts by Sacerdos, Diomedes, Priscian, Alberic of Montecassino, Kühner & Stegmann and Harm Pinkster illustrate how the ablative absolute is recognized long before it get its name, and how its role in grammatical description is invented, changes, and disappears again in accordance with the grammatical systems adopted by the respective grammarians. The ablative absolute starts as a kind of appendix to the doctrine of the parts of speech, is moved from the description of the noun to that of the participle, and eventually just fades away as a descriptive label in its own right in the context of Functional Grammar. Its history cannot, of course, prove that the ‘God’s Truth’ metaphysics of grammar is wrong, but it certainly looks like a series of manifestations of grammatical ‘Hocus Pocus’.RésuméDans cet article, on suit l’histoire de la description du soi-disant ablatif absolu du troisième au vingtième siècle. Des textes de Sacerdos, Diomède, Priscien, Alberic de Montecassino, Kühner & Stegmann et de Harm Pinkster rendent compte de la reconnaissance de l’existence de l’ablatif absolu avant qu’on ne l’appelle ainsi. L’art de se mouvoir ou art du déplacement (ADD) d’un point à un autre par des techniques physiques appropriées – courir, sauter, grimper – constitue, au-delà d’une simple démarche sportive, une aventure humaine qui s’exprime surtout comme un art de vivre. Il s’agit très concrètement de Grimper aux murs, d’enjamber les obstacles urbains, à la fois comme une danse, comme un vol dans un défi permanent aux lois de l’équilibre. Comme avec le surf, cinquante ans plus tôt, quand les pionniers allaient parcourir le monde à la recherche de spots pour pratiquer leur sport en toute liberté, il s’agit de partir à l’aventure, d’échanger, de croiser d’autres cultures, d’inventer, répertorier et communiquer son art de vivre !
